Fighting Style: Ryuu is a hard hitting technician who often wears his opponent down with kicks and strikes. Ryuu will mainly keep the action in the ring and once he is on the offensive, will not waste time showboating or arguing with the referee. Ryuu will relentlessly punish his opponent until wearing him down enough to be able to get the three count, rarely using any submission holds to win the match. Hiro Ryuu is deceptively quick for his size, but would prefer to keep the action inside the squared circle and would very rarely head to the top rope. Once Ryuu feels that his opponent is significantly worn down, Ryuu will aim to finish him off with his finishing move, but will also use this if he feels he is behind and needs to desperately turn the momentum.

Personality Traits: Respectful and polite, Hiro Ryuu is not someone that is likely to ruffle and feathers as he quietly goes about his business. Ryuu was an sVo fan growing up, and as such feels immense pressure to live up to those that have come before him, such as his favourite wrestler Night.

Other Information: Hiro Ryuu grew up a wrestling fan as a youngster, watching superstars such as Night and Nightmare on the weekly sVo Showdown TV show. Ryuu idolised both of the brothers, which inspired him to enrol in the same dojo as soon as he was of age as a young boy.

However the dreams of competing in the same ring as his idols was shattered as the sVo went out of business in 2013 and Night & Nightmare announced their retirement. Hiro Ryuu continued his wrestling career regardless and competed in some smaller Japanese promotions before moving to America and making the jump to the oWo, competing in the Californian promotion for over two years and starting with an impressive unbeaten run which allowed him to capture his first Heavyweight Championship belt.

Entrance Description: ‘Starman’ by David Bowie hits the sound system and the fans rise to their feet as the mysterious Hiro Ryuu slowly steps out onto the top of the entrance ramp. Ryuu drops to his knee and raises a finger in the air for a few seconds before slowly pointing his finger down towards the ring. Ryuu then rises to his feet and walks slowly to the ring and rolls under the bottom rope. Ryuu climbs to the second rope of the nearest turnbuckle and looks out at the crowd before backflipping to a standing position in the ring!
