sVo Uprising 29
Live on the HOTv Network on PWA:TV
Goodfellas Casino Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada
4th September 2022
The entrance video package for Uprising begins, accompanied by the theme song of ‘Uprising’ by Artificial Intelligence as highlights of past action from 2013 to present day are sped up, showing the likes of Bobby Dean, Roscoe Shame, Night, Jay Wildman, Cody Williams & Nathan Paradine. As the video package finally comes to an end with an extended look at the ‘Uprising’ logo, the camera cuts to an exterior shot of the Goodfellas Casino Arena, in the heart of the Las Vegas strip, before cutting to a live shot of inside the arena.
The camera pans around the sold-out crowd, most of them on their feet and screaming loudly whilst trying to get their homemade sign shown in front of the camera. The cameras finally head over to the commentary table, where Julian Fiasco and Jeremiah Sloan welcome the fans watching on the HOTv network on PWA:TV to the broadcast and begin to break down some of the action that will take place on tonight’s show!

One of Ten
The cameras cut quickly to the outside of the arena before the first match of the night, and there is a big pop in the arena as they spot Bobby Dean arriving at the Goodfellas Casino arena with the Roulette Championship belt in hand!
Dean smiles to himself as he hears the reaction, which is nearly as loud as the reaction where he won the belt in his first match back in the sVo last Sunday against Bronson Johnson at the Jackpot PPV!
Whilst an sVo legend like Bobby Dean wouldn’t normally compete on Uprising, he will tonight defend the Roulette Championship belt in the main event in an attempt to get to the ten title defences as quickly as possible needed to cash in for an sVo Championship shot, the only major sVo belt that BBD is yet to win!

Strictly Business
We cut backstage, where we find Xander Azula and his Eternal Circle crew walking down the hall. This catches reporter Elena Cruz by surprise as she rushes to catch up with the group, eager to break some news right here at Uprising 29!
Elena Cruz: “Xander, it’s good to see you..but what are you doing here tonight? A lot of folks were expecting you to turn up at Showdown next week!”
This draws a chuckle from the Fighter, who gives the reporter a wicked smile before responding.
Xander Azula: “Right, let me ask you something…Elena, right?”
Elena nods her head in response.
Xander Azula: “Uprising is the show fowhere the up and coming stars of sVo shine, yes?”
Elena Cruz: “Yes, that is very true.”
Xander Azula: “And this is the show that Kyle McRae and his buddies British Hospitality compete on regularly, correct?”
Elena nods once again.
Elena Cruz: “Yes, in fact tonight Kyle is set to face Dallas Jordan in singles competition!”
Xander’s smile just widens to a grin at this.
Xander Azula: “Then this is where I belong. As someone who is new around these parts myself, it only makes sense to track my fellow…up and comers, if you will. Also, and this is very important, I need to have a few words with ol’ Jonny boy about when I’m set to fight. So, if you’ll excuse me, I have some business to attend to.”
Xander gives a wink and a nod to Cruz before he and his disciples make their way down the fall, forcing us to cut away from here!

Spoiler
The cameras cut back to the interview area, where Elena Cruz is standing by with Absolute Zero, the man that will tonight compete in the main event against the returning Bobby Dean! Absolute Zero looks as confident as ever, despite the boos from the fans inside the arena as soon as they see his face pop up on the big screen.
Elena Cruz: “Zero! Tonight you face Bobby Dean with the Roulette Championship on the line, a Championship that you famously held before when you defeated the first ever Champion August Lazar! What is the biggest thing about tonight’s match, the fact you have the chance to become the first ever two time Roulette Champion or the chance to beat the legendary Bobby Dean?”
Zero scoffs at the question and shakes his head in disbelief.
Absolute Zero: “The legendary Bobby Dean? Maybe ten or fifteen years ago Elena, but have you seen Booby Dean lately?”
Cruz begins to answer the rhetorical question, before Zero cuts her off.
Absolute Zero: “I am going to run rings around that fat slob in the ring. Becoming a two time Roulette Champion isn’t even in doubt! That question just goes to show the disgusting way that Page and the rest of the sVo sucks up to these has-beens! All I have heard about for the past few weeks is first BBD and then Night…. What about the rest of us that have been busting our asses to make the sVo return a success? Who were the ones that got Page that big fat HOTv contract?”
Cruz looks awkwardly at Zero, clearly not expected to be questioned herself.
Absolute Zero: “Page is even advertising BBD in another Roulette Championship match next week on Showdown! What am I chopped liver over here?”
Zero angrily spits at the floor.
Absolute Zero: “I am going to go out there and win back the Roulette Championship, earn my sVo Championship shot and show all these fans just who they really should be talking about it. It will be my pleasure to make Page have to give refunds to all those fans that have bought Showdown tickets next week just to see BBD in action….”
Zero leaves the words hanging as he storms out of the interview area and the scene fades out.

The cameras head backstage to the office of Jon Page, where the sVo Owner is watching the action from behind his desk. As Page enjoys the show, the door slowly swings open, revealing a triumphant Kyle McRae along with a beaming Harry Black and Alexander Hate.
The group, collectively known as the Empire, make their way into the office of Page, clearly looking very pleased with themselves.
Kyle McRae: “Did ya see that boss-man! What a win eh!”
Page takes a second to understand McRae’s thick Scottish accent, before shrugging his shoulders and leaving the group confused.
Jon Page: “You won a match, big fucking deal. You beat Dallas Jordan, big fucking deal.”
The Empire look around at each other, still confused.
Jon Page: “We have Xander Azula walking around here like he owns the place, hell he shows up on more sVo shows than half of the sVo roster! I want to handpick you as the Champion to go over there to HOW, walk into the lions den and put him in his place…. and that is what you deliver to me?”
Page reaches his hands out towards ‘the Granite Kid’, a look of disappointment on his face.
Kyle McRae: “Well I did win the….”
McRae tries to defend himself, but Page cuts him off.
Jon Page: “Big fucking deal! You won the match! I want you to go out there and DESTROY your opponent! I want you to go out there, and in your mind see Xander Azula standing across the ring from you! I want you ready to rip his head off! Show me more next time, or I will find someone else….”
Page dismisses the group with a flick of his hands, leaving the Empire to silently leave the room, all stewing with rage at the dressing down from the boss. Page watches the group go, before quietly smiling to himself at his little motivation technique.
