After the intro for the PWA, the entrance video package for Sunday Night Showdown begins, accompanied by the theme song of ‘Showdown’ by Pendulum as highlights of past action from 2013 to present day are sped up, showing the likes of Bobby Dean, Roscoe Shame, Night, Jay Wildman, Cody Williams & Nathan Paradine. As the video package finally comes to an end with an extended look at the ‘Sunday Night Showdown’ logo, the camera cuts to an exterior shot of the Goodfellas Casino Arena, in the heart of the Las Vegas strip, before cutting to a live shot of inside the arena. The camera pans around the sold-out crowd, most of them on their feet and screaming loudly whilst trying to get their homemade sign shown in front of the camera. The cameras finally head over to the commentary table, where Julian Fiasco and Jeremiah Sloan welcome the fans watching on the HOTv network on PWA:TV to the broadcast and begin to break down some of the action that will take place on tonight’s show!

The fans pop for the big win for the Hall of Fame member Night, as the referee raises the Japanese stars hand in the air in victory! However the victory celebration doesn’t last long as down the entrance ramp storms the former Tag Team Champions the Black Brothers!

The fans boo loudly for the sight of the masked giants, but Night sees them coming as he quickly rolls out of the ring and grabs an equaliser, a steel chair, before rolling back in and facing them up!

The Black Brothers don’t seem as keen to enter the ring with the sight of Night wielding the steel, as they look at each other before slowly backing off, being booed all the way by the sold out Vegas crowd!

Victory?

There is shock in the arena at Darren Starr scoring the three count over Athena out of no where, but the Starr Brothers and Williams don’t even get the chance to celebrate as Darwin Jones and Curtis Knight leap into the ring to avenge their family member and flatten Darren Starr! Simon Starr and Kenneth D Williams jump to the defence of the scorer of the three count, but are no match for the power of Knight and Jones who beat them down!

The referee tries to intervene and restore order, but Knight shoves him down aggressively, before the trio round in on Kenneth D Williams! With the Starr Brothers down and seemingly out, the fans boo as Athena, Knight and Jones land a triple team powerbomb on Kenneth D Williams, before standing over the ‘Human Hightlight Reel’ as Showdown heads to a commercial break!

BACKSTAGE
Remind Them

The camera heads to the backstage of the Goodfellas Casino Arena, and in particular the locker room of Blood Money! With the Tag Team Champions absent, the fans boo loudly for the sight of Junior Gambino who is warming up, and the former sVo Champion Johnny ‘All Star’ Moretti!

Johnny Moretti: “Right, tonight you need to do your job. You need to take BBD out of the picture for me.”

Gambino confidently smirks as he continues to warm up.

Junior Gambino: “That fat piece of crap? Easy boss! No problem!”

Moretti looks angry, as he suddenly springs forward and grabs Gambino by scruff of his collar, catching the youngster by surprise.

Johnny Moretti: “Listen to me, don’t underestimate him! He may be out of shape, he may be the worst example of cardio you have ever seen in your life, but he knows how to pull out the win. I need you to take him out!”

Gambino shakes Moretti off, looking a little shaken his self but more focused.

Junior Gambino: “Ok, ok. You got it boss.”

Johnny Moretti: “I will be out there for a closer look, don’t let me down!”

Moretti stares down Gambino for a few seconds, before turning his back and leaving the locker room, with Gambino looking focused.

After quickly catching his breath, BBD wearily rolls out of the ring as Johnny Moretti rolls in. BBD and Moretti lock eyes, with BBD backing up the entrance ramp with a smile on his face after yet another sVo victory under his belt. The fans cheer BBD all the way back up the entrance ramp, and Moretti watches him go before slowly turning his attention to Junior Gambino.

Gambino looks nervously at Moretti and tries to explain, as Moretti looks his eyes on the youngster.

The fans in the arena begin to rise to their feet as it looks like Moretti might take out his frustrations on his own team member, but before anything can happen the sVo Tag Team Champions sprint down the entrance ramp!

The fans boo loudly as Anthony Moretti & Joe Barone restore order between the pair, much to the relief of Junior Gambino!

Eye on the Prize

There are loud boos from the fans as William Vorheez rises up to his feet and raises his arms in the air in victory after defeating the sVo Champion thanks to the ‘Wrath of Vorheez’! The two members of BIG Trouble quickly pull Big Aug from any further potential danger as the Black Brothers slide into the ring to celebrate with Vorheez.

Big Aug looks shocked at the loss, as BIG Trouble help him back up the entrance ramp, with the big champion desperately clutching his title belt.

William Vorheez keeps his eyes fixed on the champion as he watches him leave, before motioning for a title belt around his waist! The fans boo loudly, but it looks like William Vorheez is coming for the sVo Championship that he lost to Big Aug at the Vendetta PPV in October!
