sVo Sunday Night Showdown #123

The entrance video package for Sunday Night Showdown begins, accompanied by the theme song of ‘Showdown’ by Pendulum as highlights of past action from 2013 to present day are sped up, showing the likes of Bobby Dean, Roscoe Shame, Night, Jay Wildman, Cody Williams & Nathan Paradine. As the video package finally comes to an end with an extended look at the ‘Sunday Night Showdown’ logo, the camera cuts to an exterior shot of the Goodfellas Casino Arena, in the heart of the Las Vegas strip, before cutting to a live shot of inside the arena. The camera pans around the sold-out crowd, most of them on their feet and screaming loudly whilst trying to get their homemade sign shown in front of the camera. The cameras finally head over to the commentary table, where Julian Fiasco and Jeremiah Sloan welcome the fans watching on TV to the broadcast and begin to break down some of the action that will take place on tonight’s show!

An Offer You Can’t Refuse
‘Evolution’ By Clawfinger hits the sound system and there is a pop in the arena as Darwin Jones steps out onto the top of the entrance ramp! Jones soaks in the cheers from the fans for a few seconds, before walking down the entrance ramp and climbing in the ring. Jones again soaks up the cheers from the sold out Las Vegas crowd, as the ring announcer Natasha Ortiz hands him a microphone.
Jones waits for the crowd to quieten down, before speaking in the microphone.
Darwin Jones: “Four months of my career! Four months, that is what William Vorheez cost me….”
Jones trails off into thought as there is a loud reaction from the crowd.
Darwin Jones: “And for what? All because he wrongly thought that I had cost him the sVo Championship. Well I guess that it is pretty poetic because this time I AM going to cost him the sVo Championship when I TAKE it from him! Vorheez, I am challenging you for the strap!”
The crowd cheer loudly as Jones stares into the camera to make the challenge to the champion. However after a few seconds, the music of the former sVo Champion hits the sound system as ‘Viva Las Vegas’ by Metal Elvis hits and Johnny Moretti walks out onto the top of the entrance ramp with a microphone in hand. The fans boo loudly towards Johnny Moretti, and his former Horizon team mate doesn’t look too happy to see him.
Johnny Moretti: “Listen kid, how about you get in line.”
The fans boo loudly as Darwin Jones stares back angrily.
Johnny Moretti: “You’re a talent kid, don’t get me wrong, I always thought so! But you are hanging out with the wrong crowd these days, I mean your brother in law getting himself counted out like that in a main event? Who does that?”
Jones looks even angrier as he stares back at Moretti.
Johnny Moretti: “I tell you what though. I will take my rightful re-match for the sVo Championship, but you can come and join me in Blood Money and work your way up! How about it?”
The fans boo loudly as Johnny Moretti stares down at Darwin Jones looks for an answer, as he looks around at the sold out crowd. However before Jones can even give an answer, there is a pop from the crowd as Curtis Knight suddenly appears behind Johnny Moretti and knocks him down!
There is a pop as Knight stomps away on Johnny Moretti as Darwin Jones stands watching from the ring! Jones doesn’t make a move to help either men, as security streams out from the back to separate Johnny Moretti and Curtis Knight on the top of the entrance ramp as Showdown heads to an impromptu commercial break.

The Main Event
The cameras head to the backstage area as Showdown #123 returns from it’s commercial break, where security are still struggling to separate ‘The Dark Horse’ Curtis Knight and Johnny ‘All Star’ Moretti from tearing each other apart!
Both men seem adamant that they want to get their hands on each other, until an angry Jon Page strides onto the scene to put himself between the two men.
Jon Page: “ENOUGH!”
Knight and All Star both stop struggling for a few seconds to stare at Page.
Jon Page: “If you guys want to tear each other apart, then let’s do it in the ring! Tonight I’m making it official, the main event of Showdown #123 will be Curtis Knight taking on Johnny Moretti!”
There is a loud pop from the crowd watching the action unfold on the giant screen.
Jon Page: “But if either of you lay a hand on the other before that opening bell in the main event then you will BOTH be suspended for six months!”
Page angrily storms off, as Knight and Moretti stare each other down and the scene fades out.

Attempt Number Four
The cameras head backstage to the interview area where Katie Smith is standing by with the current sVo Roulette Champion Absolute Zero and his manager VIP! The crowd boo loudly upon seeing the Champion, as the three stand in front of the sVo branded backdrop.
Katie Smith: “Well Absolute Zero, thanks for joining me tonight. Now you have been on one hell of a run since winning the sVo Roulette Championship belt against Big Aug at the PPV. Tonight you face CJ Dreamer in your fourth title defence, how long do you think you can keep the run going?”
Zero looks angry with the question as VIP steps across to answer the question.
VIP: “What kind of loaded question is that Katie? Absolute Zero is the greatest sVo Roulette Champion of all time and he is keeping this belt for as long as he wants to….”
VIP slaps the Championship gold that is over the shoulder of Zero.
VIP: “But what I can guarantee you is that we are making it to ten successful title defences and cashing in for a shot at the sVo Championship! Let me tell you that there is not a damn thing that CJ Dreamer tonight, or any other person on the sVo roster can do about it!”
Zero holds the belt up for the camera as the scene fades out.

Final Chance
The camera heads backstage to the locker room of Blood Money, where Anthony Moretti and Joe Barone all seem to be deep in conversation. After a few seconds, the pair suddenly become silent as the door opens and in walks the fourth member of the group, former Las Vegas Champion Money Malone.
Malone eyeballs his two teammates, quickly figuring out that they were talking about him.
Money Malone: “What up guys?”
Barone and Moretti all look around at each other before Anthony Moretti steps forward to answer.
Anthony Moretti: “Listen, we were talking about the embarrassment of last Showdown….”
Anthony Moretti shakes his head as Malone looks down at the floor.
Anthony Moretti: “We can’t have a repeat of that tonight. You need to show why you deserve to be a member of Blood Money tonight against Athena….. Or…..”
Moretti makes a throat slicing gesture to Malone, who looks surprised. Malone glances around at Barone, before slowly turning a way and exiting, knowing that his membership of the group is hanging in the balance.

Carny Sinclair vs. Jacob Izaz

Got Your Back
After the impressive match between Carny Sinclair and Jacob Izaz, two of the hottest talents in the sVo, the cameras head backstage to the locker room of ‘the Dark Horse’ Curtis Knight. There is a huge cheer from the fans watching on the giant screen in the arena as the camera pans around to see Knight preparing for his main event match against Johnny Moretti which is only moments away!
As the preparation for Knight continues, the door suddenly opens and in walks his brother in law, Darwin Jones! There is another pop from the watching crowd, but Knight doesn’t seem as happy to see him.
Curtis Knight: “What the hell do you want?”
Jones stares down Knight, who angrily squares up to him. Jones does his best to try and relax the situation.
Darwin Jones: “Wow, Wow. Chill. I was here to say good luck to Athena before her match tonight, but I guess I missed her already….”
Curtis Knight: “Oh so now you suddenly care about your sister?”
Jones ignores the low blow, as he slowly shakes his head.
Darwin Jones: “I’m glad I caught you though Curtis…. I know you got a big match out there tonight against All Star and no doubt Blood Money will be down there at ringside with him, so I just want to say I got your back, I will be down there in your corner.”
Knight eyes Jones suspiciously.
Curtis Knight: “Hmmm, maybe we will finally see who’s side you are on after all….”
Knight returns to his preparations for his main event match, as Darwin Jones looks at his brother in law in disbelief at the reaction, before slowly making his way out of the locker room.

Athena vs. Money Malone
Backstage

The cameras head backstage where Katie Smith is standing by in the backstage area as Money Malone walks through the curtain from his match against Athena. Money Malone doesn’t look in the mood for an interview as Katie Smith tries to keep up with him
Katie Smith: “A quick word if you don’t mind? How relieved are you right now after you managed to win the match against Athena tonight considering your place in Blood Money was seemingly on the line?”
Malone stops in his tracks for a few seconds and angrily stares at Katie Smith, before turning and walking away. Smith looks into the camera with an awkward look on her face, seemingly getting the message to not follow.

Curtis Knight vs. Johnny ‘All Star’ Moretti

The Offer
After the impressive victory for Johnny Moretti over the big man Knight, the crowd boo loudly as the former two time sVo Champion has his hand raised in the air in victory by the referee. However the action for the night isn’t over, as Anthony Moretti quickly rolls into the ring and begins to put the boots to an already downed Curtis Knight!
The fans boo furiously as Moretti stomps away on Knight, before Darwin Jones slowly climbs up onto the ring apron. Jones looks slow in climbing into the ring, as Johnny Moretti stares him down.
Anthony Moretti continues with his assault, as Johnny Moretti steps to one side as if to tell Darwin Jones to join in!
The fans boo loudly as it looks as if Darwin Jones is taking up the offer to join Blood Money as he smiles at Johnny Moretti, before slowly striding past him! However instead of putting the boots to Knight, Jones pulls Anthony Moretti off of Curtis Knight and tosses him over the top rope!
The fans pop loudly, as Johnny Moretti looks on in disbelief as Darwin Jones turns to face him! Johnny Moretti quickly bails out of the ring wanting no part of Jones, before both Moretti’s retreat up the entrance ramp. Showdown heads off of the air with Darwin Jones staring down the Moretti brothers across the arena, as Curtis Knight slowly begins to rise to his feet behind him!
