sVo Sunday Night Showdown #116
Goodfellas Casino Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada
28th November 2021

The entrance video package for Sunday Night Showdown begins, accompanied by the theme song of ‘Showdown’ by Pendulum as highlights of past action from 2013 to present day are sped up, showing the likes of Bobby Dean, Roscoe Shame, Night, Jay Wildman, Cody Williams & Nathan Paradine. As the video package finally comes to an end with an extended look at the ‘Sunday Night Showdown’ logo, the camera cuts to an exterior shot of the Goodfellas Casino Arena, in the heart of the Las Vegas strip, before cutting to a live shot of inside the arena. The camera pans around the sold-out crowd, most of them on their feet and screaming loudly whilst trying to get their homemade sign shown in front of the camera. The cameras finally head over to the commentary table, where Julian Fiasco and Jeremiah Sloan welcome the fans watching on TV to the broadcast and begin to break down some of the action that will take place on tonight’s show!

Betting on Yourself

Footage starts to play on the screen for the fans, from the vantage point of a cell phone. In the background, the fans can see one of the various casinos near the arena. The camera phone vantage line stops on the newcomer’s very first sVo t-shirt.

“Big Aug = Big Trouble”

It moves up…

Until it stops on the bright smiling face of a giant.

August Lazar: “Hello, sVo! I’m August Lazar but you can call me Big Aug!”

He waves enthusiastically.

August Lazar: “So far, I’m undefeated in the sVo wrestling’s and ticket already punched to semi-finals for brand-new Roulette Championship! I am the winnings!”

A small smile.

August Lazar: “Big Aug not big gambler… but in this tournament, Big Aug bet on himself! I beat HyperNova to advance and I will block and I will beat anyone until I get title! Big Aug want to make big moments in his career and to do that, I want to be first man to be Roulette Champion!”

He keeps walking and stops to show the camera on a roulette table behind him.

August Lazar: “To get title, I must not be afraid to gamble. I take this money I won from last week’s match and I take it to casino. Soon, Big Aug will have two times that money.”

He stops and freaks out a man running the roulette wheel table.

Operator: “WOW… you’re huge.”

Big Aug: “That why I’m called Big Aug! Trainers look at me because like “Augie, you big as f***!” Now… put all this money on black. Black is lucky color, my friend.”

Operator: “Uh… sure.”

He takes the money from Lazar and puts it on the table. As the wheel starts to spin, Big Aug smiles and looks back at his phone with the wheel behind him.

Big Aug: “Thank you to the sVo fans for your support! Buy new Big Aug equals Big Trouble t-shirt. Big Aug go through the wrestling’s and win his first championship! Catch me in the TikTok at DaBigAugFoodBlog thing where I do this…”

He shuffles his arms awkwardly twice each.

Big Aug: “and try out food and watch me in ring at sVo and…”

Operator: “26, Red.”

Big Aug turns around awkwardly…

Big Aug: “Whatever, I smash semi-final opponent and make money back… this game rigged…”

The normally joyous giant stomps off and the feed cuts.

Single Match
William Vorheez vs. Yoshi Ono

The lights in the arena dim and the mood changes as ‘GTA’ by Meek Mill hits the sound system. As the base reverberates around the arena, the massive figure of Yoshi Ono slowly steps out onto the top of the entrance ramp and looks out at the arena. The crowd loudly boo the sight of Ono, but the Japanese star ignores the crowd and performs a sumo ritual dance at the top of the entrance ramp. Ono then slowly walks down to the ring at his own pace, before slowly climbing into the ring and staring out at the crowd from the corner of the ring with a snarl on his face as the lights slowly come back up.

The arena goes pitch black as the opening guitar riff from “Abominator” by Doyle plays. Smoke billows up from the bottom of the staging area, as green laser lights dance across the stage. Just as the opening riff comes to a close, two large hits of a drum can be heard, and pyro goes off syncing with them. The song dives in, as Vorheez makes his appearance at the top of the ramp. Wearing a long black, sleeveless coat, that has green stitching and it covered in small spikes, as well as a black, beat up, cowboy hat covering his eyes. Vorheez marches slowly down to the ring, his eyes fixated on the ring, looking determined, and focused. As Vorheez climbs onto the ring apron and climbs inside the ring, the lights slowly come up and the music fades.

With the two old rivals in the ring, the referee calls for the bell to be rung and the match is quickly official! Vorheez and Ono slowly move towards each other, before meeting in the middle of the ring with some big right hands. Vorheez begins to get the better of the opening exchange of right hands, but isn’t able to knock the big man off of his feet. Vorheez grabs Ono by the arm and tries to send him into the ropes, but Ono reverses the attempted Irish whip and shoots the former two time sVo Champion into the ropes, before knocking him down with a shoulder tackle as he bounces back!

The fans boo Ono as he waits for Vorheez to get back to a standing position, before grabbing him by the back of the head and slamming him face first into the turnbuckle. Vorheez looks dazed as he staggers backwards, and the big man slowly bounces into the ropes for extra momentum before knocking down his opponent with a big side kick! With Vorheez down and hurting, Ono makes the cover on the former Champion.

One,

Two,

No!

Vorheez manages to keep himself alive in the match and gets a shoulder up off of the mat before the three can be counted. Ono looks disappointed at not getting the win there, but gets to his feet and waits for his opponent. Vorheez takes his time getting to a standing position, still clearly dazed from the head shots from the big man. Vorheez eventually stands up and is grabbed in a waist lock from Ono, but Vorheez manages to quickly free himself with some stiff back elbow shots. Now it is Ono who is rocked, as Vorheez runs to the ropes and bounces back before landing a big boot to the face to finally take Ono down to the mat!

Ono gets back to a standing position, but Vorheez meets him with some big right hands as he does. The fans cheer Vorheez on, and as Ono finally reaches his feet the former two time Champion shows off his power as he lifts him up before slamming him down with a spinning spinebuster! The fans cheer for the big move as Vorheez makes the cover.

One,

This time it is Ono who gets a shoulder up off of the mat to keep himself alive in the match! Vorheez shakes his head at only getting a two count, before rising up to his feet and taunting his opponent. Vorheez signals for his finishing move, but as Ono gets to his feet, Vorheez isn’t able to execute the ‘Wrath of Vorheez’ because of the size of his opponent! Ono knocks Vorheez away with a big head butt, before taking him down with a Samoan drop!

The momentum of the match has quickly swung as Vorheez gets to his feet holding his back, only to be caught with a Side belly to belly suplex from his big opponent. With Vorheez down the crowd boo loudly as Ono signals for his finishing move!

Ono stands in wait as Vorheez struggles up, before pouncing and looking for the ‘Ono And Out’! However Vorheez has the move scouted, as he impressively counters into a double arm DDT on the big man! Ono holds his head as he gets to his feet looking confused, whilst Vorheez uses his experience to follow up with a sitout spike piledriver! After hitting half of his finishing move, the fans cheer as Vorheez hooks the giant leg of his opponent to make the cover.

One,

Two,

It’s all over and just like in there match up for the sVo Championship at the Roll the Dice 2021 PPV, it is William Vorheez who emerges victorious!

Vorheez staggers up to his feet after the hard-fought victory and quickly has his arm lifted into the air in victory by the referee!

Ringside
Making a Statement

William Vorheez stands tall in the middle of the ring as he brushes off the referee and turns his attention back towards Yoshi Ono, the big man still motionless after the impressive sitout spike piledriver that ended the match. Vorheez stares down at Ono for a few seconds, before a grin starts to appear across the usually expressionless face of the former sVo Champion, before he begins to motion the backstage area.

The fans turn their attention to the entrance ramp, and after a few seconds there is a mixed reaction as the massive Black Brothers appear from behind the curtain, clutching a wooden folding table between them! Igor and Boris, faces hidden behind skull masks as always, march down the entrance ramp with the table, before sliding it into the ring. Vorheez quickly grabs it and sets it up in the middle of the ring, as Igor and Boris climb in themselves.

There is a hushed silence across the Goodfellas Casino Arena, with no one particular liking Yoshi Ono, but no one particularly wanting to see him end up with Darwin Jones or Hugo Ryzing on the injured list at the hands of the Black Brothers of their mentor.

However, Vorheez and the massive brothers seem to have other ideas, as they pull the massive 425lbs frame of Ono to his feet, before impressively lifting him up into the air in a triple powerbomb! The fans rise to their feet for a better look, as the three hold Ono in the air for a few seconds, before smashing him through the table!

With Ono laying in the wreckage of the table, referees rush down the entrance ramp to check on the Japanese star, as Vorheez, Igor and Boris fist bump each other in a job well done.

The familiar adlibs of Keem accompanying the vinyl horn flutters of the classic instrumental echo throughout the arena as Kenneth Williams steps out onto the ramp.

He hops onto the outside of the turnbuckle before looking out into the crowd and delivering a vicious dab with a look of disgust on his face. He hops into the ring and prepares in his corner.

McRae stares around at the sold out crowd with a huge smile on his face, before marching down the entrance ramp towards the ring. McRae does a whole lap of the ring and slaps hands with as many fans as he can, before sliding head first into the ring and doing a forward roll and a jump before landing on the second rope of the turnbuckle. McRae signals to the fans again as the music begins to fade out.

With Kenneth D Williams so far undefeated in the sVo with a record of three wins and a draw from his first four matches, he looks confident as he warms up in the corner of the ring ahead of getting a shot at the sVo Las Vegas Championship at the Seasons Beatings 2021 PPV in December!

The referee calls for the bell to be rung and there is a cheer from the fans who are looking forward to seeing both men compete, as Williams and McRae meet in the middle of the ring for a little trash talk before getting the action started!

Finally McRae has had enough of the trash talk, as he hits a big right hand on Williams, only for Williams to fire back with some punches of his own. McRae tries to get the early control of the match with a spinning heel kick, but Williams ducks the leg of his opponent and takes him down with a chop block from behind. The fans cheer on the ‘Granite Kid’ as he rises up to his feet and has his arm raised in the air in victory.

Winner via pinfall: Kyle McRae

Ringside
My Shot

After the massive win for Kyle McRae, the young Scot continues to soak in the atmosphere at ringside from the delighted crowd, as he calls for a microphone from the ring announcer Natasha Ortiz.

Kenneth D Williams looks none too happy with the surprise loss as he re-groups on the outside of the ring, as a beaming Kyle McRae stands in the middle of the ring and taps the microphone to call for quiet.

Kyle McRae: “Wow Las Vegas! What a night!”

There is a loud cheap pop from the crowd.

Kyle McRae: “Just a couple of weeks ago I faced Cody Williams for the sVo Championship, and I came this close to winning the big one against the big man…..”

McRae holds his fingers up to signal just how close he feels he came to winning the big prize.

Kyle McRae: “Now I might have come up just short against one of the very best to grace an sVo ring, but that match gave me the confidence to know I can do big things here in the sVo! That is why I wanted to get some advice from the best crowd in wrestling!”

Another cheap pop from the crowd.

Kyle McRae: “Don’t you think that seeing as I just beat one of the contenders for the Las Vegas Championship…. I should be added to that triple threat match at Seasons Beatings. I know a three way is a big deal, but how does a foursome sound Las Vegas?”

There is a loud roar from the crowd, but on the outside of the ring Kenneth D Williams doesn’t look too happy with what is being suggested. However before he can interject, ‘Not for Radio’ by Nas hits the sound system and there is a cheer from the crowd as the third man in the three way, Jacob Izaz, walks out onto the top of the entrance ramp with a microphone in hand.

Izaz waits for the crowd to quieten down before shaking his head and laughing.

Jacob Izaz: “Yo! Yo! Wait a minute! Did I just hear that right?”

Izaz doubles over and fake laughs as McRae stares back from the ring.

Jacob Izaz: “At Seasons Beatings it should be one on one, me vs Money for the title, a title that should have been mine after the last PPV! Williams wormed his way into the match, and now you think you can do the same after one easy win?”

Izaz pretends to laugh again as, McRae & Williams look on angrily from the ring and the ringside area.

Kyle McRae: “I agree that you should be the Las Vegas Champion Jacob son….. You were robbed! But from the rest of what you saying… sounds like you are pretty scared about a little competition!”

Izaz again pretends to laugh from the top of the entrance ramp, before staring back, deadly serious.

Jacob Izaz: “Let’s get one thing right SON… You….”

Izaz points at McRae.

Jacob Izaz: “Or even you!”

Izaz points at Williams.

Jacob Izaz: “Have no rights to call yourselves my competition! Let me prove that next week. McRae, you want in my rematch then how about you earn it by beating me next week on Showdown, instead of trying to sneak in the back door by beating this CHUMP!”

Izaz points at Williams, but Williams has heard enough as he runs up the entrance ramp towards Izaz! Izaz and Williams meet each other half way and begin to throw right hands before security is able to get in the middle and separate the pair! It looks like the match is official for next week, McRae vs. Izaz for the rights for McRae to enter the Las Vegas Championship match at Seasons Beatings!!

Backstage
Talent Relations

The cameras head backstage to the locker room of William Vorheez, Igor and Boris Black, with all three men sitting triumphantly after decimating Yoshi Ono in the middle of the ring early in the evening during and after the match. The three men are deep in conversation amongst themselves, but that conversation is abruptly halted as the door swings open and in storms sVo Owner Jon Page.

Jon Page: “What the hell guys?”

The sVo Owner is clearly hot, and the massive brothers look towards their leader and mentor Vorheez for guidance on how to handle the situation. Vorheez slowly rises up to his feet to stand face to face with Page, before opening his arms out in a gesture that reads he doesn’t know what the boss is talking about.

Jon Page: “Don’t give me that look. I just been in a meeting with the doctor that has ruled Yoshi Ono out of action and placed him in the injured list. You have any idea how much it costs me in hospital bills for a 425lb man?”

Vorheez and the Black Brothers look at each other for a few seconds, before Vorheez shrugs his shoulders towards Page.

Jon Page: “What is this? You have been putting people in the injured list for weeks now…. Me and you, we always got on… I sorted that Championship match out for you earlier in the year…. Do we maybe need to speak? Privately…”

Vorheez turns and looks at Igor and Boris before scoffing.

William Vorheez: “Anything you want to say to me Page you can say in front of these boys, they are family. As far as us getting on…. Sure, we got on when you needed someone to take the sVo Championship from Anthony Moretti…. I don’t remember you being so friendly when I was stabbed in the back and had the title stolen from me….”

Page raises his eyebrows as Vorheez looks at him angrily.

William Vorheez: “Now it’s pretty simple, you want to save some money on medical bills, all you need to so is give me a shot at that sVo Championship and give these boys a shot at those sVo Tag Team Championships… From then on we promise to just beat up the rest of the roster but stop short of sending them to the hospital….”

Vorheez smirks as the Black Brothers laugh behind him.

Jon Page: “I see. Well if that’s how it is I have no problem giving you all title shots….. as soon as you earn them in the ring…. Until then any more stunts like tonight, or at the PPV with Jones, or before that with Ryzing…. And all three of you will be suspended.”

Vorheez angrily glares at Page as the Black Brothers stand up and loom either side of their mentor. Page reads the room as he slowly begins to back away from the three big men, before exiting the locker room, message delivered.

Tag Team Match
The Von Drakes vs. Flip Dixon & Gunner Lang

The familiar riff of AC/DC’s Thunderstruck fills the arena. As the pyro goes off on the entranceway Gunner Lang & Flip Dixon explode onto the entrance ramp shooting off their own pyro from a gun while the sVo Tron shows Gunner and a band playing his entrance music. The fans are on their feet cheering and shout ‘Gunner’ along with the song. Gunner & Flip drops the pyro gun in unison, before running down to the ring slapping hands with the fans and giving devil horns. They slide into the ring under the bottom rope and proceeds to take off their shirts and bandannas, throwing them into the crowd.

There are boos in the arena as ‘JVD’ flashes up on the giant screen and the arena is basked in a pink glow. The pink glow is slowly changed to a dark red glow as the letters ‘JVD’ slowly fade to the words ‘Blood Money’ on the giant screen as “All My Life” by Foo Fighters blares out of the sound system. After a few seconds, James Von Drake walks out from behind the curtain and onto the top of the ramp, with his wife Lucy Von Drake as always by his side. JVD signals to the crowd before walking down to the ring and sliding in. JVD holds his arms in the air in the middle of the ring as Lucy Von Drake jumps onto the nearest turnbuckle and trash talks those in the front row of the crowd.

With both teams at ringside, the fans are on their feet in support of the father/son team of Gunner Lang and Flip Dixon, as they square off against the husband/wife team of JVD and Lucy Von Drake! Lucy Von Drake and Flip Dixon get the match started off for their teams as the referee calls for the bell to be rung and the match to be made official.

Both competitors circle around each other for a few seconds from the opening bell, before trying up in the middle of the ring. Flip Dixon tries to use his strength to push Lucy Von Drake backwards, but she quickly goes behind on Dixon to grab him in a waist lock. Dixon tries to fight out with some back elbows, but Lucy Von Drake expertly ducks them before taking down her opponent with a side head lock takedown. Dixon quickly rolls to his feet and looks to fight back with a clothesline, but Lucy Von Drake ducks under the arm of her opponent and bounces into the ropes, before returning with a perfect dropkick to knock down Dixon! The fans boo Lucy Von Drake as she gets to her feet looking very pleased with herself, before making the tag out to JVD.

The former two time Las Vegas Champion quickly climbs into the ring, before running at Flip Dixon and taking him down with a high running knee as he tries to get to his feet. The boos continue for the Blood Money team as JVD taunts Gunner Lang on the apron, before knocking Flip Dixon down with a massive straight right hand as the young man tries to get to his feet. Gunner Lang desperately calls out for the tag, but JVD looks like he has no intention of allowing that to happen, as he pulls Flip Dixon up to his feet before taking him down with a sidewalk slam. Flip Dixon looks in pain, but JVD keeps on the offensive as he doesn’t allow his opponent any time to rest by following up with a t-bone suplex before making the cover.

One,

Two,

No! The fans cheer as Lang is quickly in to break up the cover and save the match for his team! The referee orders Lang back out of the ring, and as he does JVD takes the opportunity to hammer away on Flip Dixon with some stiff mounted punches. Flip Dixon looks in real trouble as he lays motionless on the mat, only for JVD to pull him up to a standing position and knock him down with a Russian legsweep, before making the tag back out to Lucy Von Drake.

Lucy Von Drake takes her time getting in the ring, choosing to get the crowd riled up as she does by posing for them while Flip Dixon lays on the mat in pain! Flip Dixon begins to crawl towards his corner to finally make the tag out, but Lucy Von Drake manages to spot this and shut it down with a running back elbow drop to the neck of her opponent. Gunner Lang slaps the turnbuckle pad in frustration as Lucy Von Drake flips Flip Dixon over and begins to lay into him with some big mounted punches.

Lucy Von Drake eventually rises back up to her feet and poses for the fans again, once again receiving a lot of heat! However as Lucy Von Drake turns to finish Flip Dixon off with a ‘One Hit Wonder’, there is a pop as Dixon catches her foot! Lucy Von Drake hops on one foot for a second looking stunned, before looking for a mule kick, but Flip Dixon catches her around the waist and takes her down with an impressive German suplex!

The fans are on their feet as Flip Dixon and Lucy Von Drake both begin to crawl towards their own corners, knowing that they need to make the tag to get the momentum of the match on their side! Both competitors make the tag out at the same time, and there is a big cheer as the two former Las Vegas Champions, Gunner Lang and JVD both hit the ring at the same time and meet with big right hands!

Gunner gets the better of the exchange, but as JVD bounces off of the ropes to try and fight back with a clothesline, Lang ducks the arm of his opponent and hits the ropes himself before nailing JVD with a big boot! JVD staggers back up to his feet not knowing what hit him, but Lang is there to follow up with a short arm clotheslines before nailing a Military press slam!

The crowd pop for Gunner Lang as he signals to them to show his appreciation, before grabbing JVD up off of the mat and hitting him with an elevated gut buster in the middle of the ring! It looks like the tide of the match has dramatically turned, as Gunner Lang signals for his finishing move! Lang waits for JVD to get to his feet, before grabbing him by the arm and shooting him hard into the corner of the ring. With JVD in the corner, Lang runs at him and hits a ‘Boomer-lang’ followed up with a ‘Gunner-Struck’! The fans pop as Lang makes the cover on JVD.

One,

Two,

No!

It looked all over there, but out of no where Lucy Von Drake dives into the ring to make the save! The crowd boo loudly as the referee retrains Lucy Von Drake and tries to get her back to the corner of the ring, before out of no where Flip Dixon hits the ring and clotheslines Lucy Von Drake over the top rope! There are cheers as Dixon follows Lucy Von Drake in tumbling over the top rope, only for the pair to get straight back up and begin brawling around the ringside area!

The referee follows Lucy Von Drake and Flip Dixon out of the ring to try and restore some order to the chaos, as JVD and Gunner Lang slowly begin to crawl to opposite corners of the ring to get back to their feet. As they do there are loud boos from the crowd as they spot JD James making his way down the entrance ramp with a steel chair in hand!

JD James stops short of the ring, and instead slides the chair under the bottom rope and into the middle of the ring between Gunner and JVD! Both men look at JD James, then the chair, then each other! JD James stands motionless, as JVD and Gunner Lang both rush towards the steel chair trying to grab it first!

JVD manages to get his hands on the chair first, but as he swings it at the head of Gunner Lang, Lang ducks and grabs it away from him! Gunner Lang looks at the chair for a few seconds, before swinging it and wiping out JVD…. Just as the referee climbs back into the ring and sees it!

There are loud boos from the crowd as the referee calls for the bell to be rung, before motioning for Gunner Lang to be disqualified! Lang looks enraged with the decision, as he shouts at the referee for a few seconds, before turning and smashing Lucy Von Drake with a chair shot as she checks on her husband!

Gunner Lang then holds the chair in the air with one hand and points towards JD James with the other, who is rapidly backing up the entrance ramp with a worried look on his face!

Flip Dixon has to restrain Gunner Lang in the ring from doing any more damage to the Von Drake’s with the chair, as the referee calls for security to make their way to the ring to help calm the situation!

‘There And Back’ by Daughtry hits the sound system and there is a cheer from the crowd as the lights in the arena dim. After a few seconds ‘the Dark Horse’ Curtis Knight slowly walks out onto the top of the entrance ramp, before raising one arm in the air. Pyro shoots into the air either side of Knight at the same time his arm shoots into the air, before he slowly walks down the entrance ramp. Knight climbs into the ring before posing for the fans one last time as the music fades out.

The sVo Las Vegas Champion passes his belt to the outside of the ring, with the belt not being on the line in tonight’s showdown! Curtis Knight looks in a confident mood as he stands in the corner of the ring waiting for the action to begin, as Money Malone stares across at his giant opponent!

The bell rings for the action to officially get started, and Knight moves towards the middle of the ring as Malone dances around the big man, trying to not get in the reach of his larger opponent. Knight tries to grab hold of Malone in a front face lock, but Malone uses his speed to duck out of the way of Knight, before peppering the big man with some right jabs. Knight again tries to grab the Las Vegas Champion, but Malone rolls out of the way before catching his opponent with a standing dropkick, before taunting to the fans!

The fans boo the cocky Las Vegas Champion loudly, as Knight stumbles away whilst holding his face and looking angry. Knight runs at Malone looking for a big clothesline, but Malone ducks out of the way of his opponent and takes him down with a drop toe hold. With Knight on the mat the fans continue to boo as Malone bounces off of the ring ropes and lands a diving dropkick to the face of his opponent.

Malone keeps on the offense as he stomps away on Knight, before finally allowing him to his feet. The Blood Money member lands some stiff chops across the chest of his opponent to back him into the corner of the ring, before dropping him on the turnbuckle with a snake eyes! The fans continue to boo as Malone lines Knight up for a back suplex in the corner of the ring, but before he can hit the move Knight grabs the ropes to block it!

Malone tries to hit the move again, but Knight keeps a hold of the top rope, before knocking his opponent away with a stiff back elbow. Malone stumbles away into the middle of the ring, and the fans cheer as Knight runs at the Las Vegas Champion and knocks him down with a big shoulder block! The fans cheer Knight on as Malone stumbles up to his feet, only for Knight to power him into the air, before dropping him in the middle of the ring with a stiff scoop slam.

With Malone on the mat, Knight bounces off of the ring ropes before dropping an elbow into the chest of his opponent and making the cover.

One,

Two,

No! The Las Vegas Champion manages to get a shoulder up off of the mat and show just why he has managed to keep a hold of his title belt for so long! Knight looks half impressed with his opponent, as he picks him up off of the mat showing off his raw strength and power. Malone tries to fire back with some right hands, but Knight tosses him into the corner as if he was a small child, before raining down left and right body shots. Malone stumbles out of the corner just as Knight hits the ropes and nearly takes his head off with a massive lariat!

With Malone down and hurting, Knight signals for the end which gets the sold out crowd off of their feet! The Dark Horse patiently waits for Malone to get up to a standing position, before grabbing him from behind and locking in the ‘Dragon Tamer’! The crowd pop for the move as Malone wriggles helplessly for a few seconds trying to free himself, before furiously tapping out!

The fans cheer loudly as the referee calls for the bell, and Knight tosses Malone aside, another Blood Money solider downed on his way towards the boss Anthony Moretti! Malone desperately gasps for air in the corner of the ring as the referee raises the massive arm of Curtis Knight in the air in victory!

Give Me Moretti!

The crowd continue to cheer the massive victory for Curtis Knight, but the big man isn’t finished there as he calls for a microphone from ringside. Knight has to wait for the loud Las Vegas to quieten down enough for him to be heard over their cheers. The referee grabs the Las Vegas Championship belt and hands it to Money Malone, but the Champion doesn’t quite seem able to get up and leave the ring yet of his own accord after the devastating offense from Knight.

Curtis Knight: “Las Vegas, earlier this evening did I hear Kyle McRae say he should get a shot at the Las Vegas Championship because he beat one of the contenders?”

There is a roar from the crowd as Money Malone’s eyes begin to get wide with terror in the corner of the ring, as he cradles the Las Vegas Championship belt in his arms.

Curtis Knight: “So if you get a shot for defeating a contender, surely you get a shot for defeating the champion right?”

There is another loud roar as a large grin spread over the face of Curtis Knight, as Malone shakes his head manically.

Curtis Knight: “Don’t worry over there little guy, as much as I would like to get my hands on that belt in the future…”

Knight points at the Las Vegas Championship which Malone now has an even tighter grasp on.

Curtis Knight: “What I really want is a match with your boss, Anthony Moretti!”

There are loud boos from the crowd at the mention of Moretti’s name.

Curtis Knight: “Just a simple one on one match. No tricks, no gimmicks. Just for him to face me like a man, so we can settle our differences for what he put my wife through! So I guess if Moretti has the balls to come out here RIGHT NOW and accept my challenge to a match, then I won’t go back there and demand that Jon Page gives me a shot for that last piece of gold that Blood Money still holds!”

There is a loud cheer from the crowd as Money Malone protests to no one in particular. Knight turns his attention to the entrance ramp, and right on cue ‘Woke Up This Morning’ hits the sound system, and onto the top of the ramp steps Anthony Moretti and Joe Barone.

Curtis Knight: “What a surprise, the big bad Moretti doesn’t come out here alone!”

The crowd cheer on Knight, but Moretti doesn’t look impressed.

Anthony Moretti: “Marone! Can you believe this gavone?”

Moretti asks the question to Joe Barone and laughs, as the big man simply stares straight ahead at Knight.

Anthony Moretti: “Do you know what Knight? You talk too much! It would be a pleasure to shut your mouth!”

Knight looks ready to fight right now, but Moretti holds a palm up to stop him in his tracks.

Anthony Moretti: “But… I don’t think you have quite earned a match against me yet! Maybe if I am going to have a match with someone in the Knight family I can take on your wife again, you know, the one with talent!”

The crowd boo Moretti who looks pleased with himself, but Knight is unmoved by the words of Moretti.

Curtis Knight: “Well I suppose she would beat you again, just like how she beat BOTH of you in a handicap match last time out!”

There is a roar from the crowd as Moretti shakes his head angrily on the top of the entrance ramp and waves a finger in protest.

Anthony Moretti: “That wasn’t fair and you know it!”

Knight smirks at the irony of Moretti not calling the handicap match in his favour ‘fair’, as Moretti looks to be getting more and more angry.

Anthony Moretti: “I tell you what. If you want to earn a match against a fucking sVo legend like myself, then how about you prove you can take on this match next week on Showdown…. You win that then you got your match!”

Moretti points at Joe Barone, as the Problem Solver stands tall with his arms folded on the top of the entrance ramp. Knight seems to like the idea as he nods his head in agreement. However, The Dark Horse doesn’t seem to be finished there, as he snatches Money Malone back up off of the mat and locks him back in the Dragon Tamer!

Money Malone flails around in the submission hold as Knight challenges Moretti & Barone to come and help their partner, but Moretti and Barone remain rooted to the spot, as the fans cheer Knight on! Knight finally shows mercy and throws Malone down, before pointing back up the entrance ramp at Moretti & Barone! It looks like next week it is on!

Open Challenge

The lights suddenly dim and the Goodfellas Casino Arena erupts as the drum solo and electric guitar riffs of “Robot Rock” by Daft Punk hits the sound system. Smoke fills the entrance ramp while pink, purple and gold lights flash in the arena. “The Hollywood Rockstar” Cody Williams steps out onto the ramp to a huge ovation as he looks out into the crowd. He tips his sunglasses down the bridge of his nose and opens up his studded and spiked leather jacket to reveal the sVo Championship while pyro and fireworks shoot off from the stage. He makes his way down the ramp and climbs into the ring, stands on the second rope in the corner and lifts the sVo Championship into the air as the camera gets a wide panoramic shot of him and the raucous crowd.

Cody Williams: “Ever since I came back I made a promise to all of you and everyone in the back that I would defend this championship against all comers… whether it’s your first match or you’ve been here for years…”

He looks out into the crowd.

Cody Williams: “I would leave the door of opportunity open for those who wanted to kick the door down. And tonight… I am holding an open challenge. Anyone in the back, anyone in that locker room… if you want a shot at this!…”

He turns his attention to the sVo Championship and stares at the center plate.

Cody Williams: “Then step up, come out here, and make a name for yourself because the door of opportunity is wide open!”

Cody and everyone else in the Goodfellas Casino Arena turn their attention to the entrance way, in anticipation of who will answer the open challenge.

The crowd falls silent.

“Starts Right Here” by Foreign Air and Kenny Mason plays and out comes the towering form of the man called Big Aug!

Cody’s eyes widen as he nods his head, removing his leather jacket as the crowd goes crazy. Lazar puts a hand on his forehead and scans the crowd before heading towards the ring slowly. He raises a hand in the air and raises his arm to the cheering crowd. He steps onto the ring apron and eggs the crowd on for a louder response then steps over the ropes to enter the squared circle.

Cody meets Lazar in the center of the ring and slowly lifts his head to see “Big Aug” looking down on him. Cody offers a handshake that he accepts. They make their way to their respective corners and the referee signals for the bell.

***DING DING DING***

The sVo Champion slowly circles around the ring, sizing up the big man. Cody and Lazar start with a collar and elbow tie-up. August Lazar shoves Cody off with the greatest of ease, sending him flying across the ring.

Cody gets up to a kneeling position and nods his head as he looks up at “Big Aug”. He meets him in the center of the ring and they tie-up once more. Cody jumps up and applies a side headlock. Big Aug launches the champion across the ring with a biel toss that has Cody clearly frustrated.

The sVo Champion nods his head and dusts himself off. He runs around the big man to throw him off and then hits the ropes. He comes back with a shoulder block but Lazar doesn’t budge. He hits the ropes once more and comes back with an even harder shoulder block but “Big Aug” remains unmoved. Cody starts to hit the ropes a third time, this time Lazar runs the ropes as well. They meet in the center of the ring as Lazar yells out “NOT TODAY!” — DIKEMBE! HUGE SHOULDER BLOCK KNOCKS CODY OFF OF HIS FEET AND ROLLING TO THE OUTSIDE!

Cody looks into the ring with a look of frustration as Big Aug raises his arms into the air to cheers, the crowd firmly behind the challenger. He flips into the ring and runs the ropes, delivering a dropkick to the big man sending him stumbling through the ropes. Cody runs the ropes, and delivers a dropkick between the ropes that sends Lazar off of his feet.

The referee points to Cody’s foot that is draped on the bottom rope! Lazar lets out a frustrated sigh and places his hands on his waist. As Cody catches his breath on the mat, he walks up to Jaxx and starts to argue with him and asks for clarification on whether or not he won.

Lazar slowly turns around and is met with several kicks to the leg from Cody. He starts to chop him down with repeated kicks to the back of his leg and drops him down to one knee. Cody starts to light him up with multiple hands slaps, a spinning chop and a roundhouse kick to the head… he hits the ropes and delivers a running single leg dropkick — PERFECT RUSH!!!

Lazar is still on one knee. Cody hits him with a jumping enziguiri that drops him to his hands and knees. Lazar gets to vertical position, still on his knees. He rallies the crowd in attendance to give Lazar a round of applause. Lazar raises his arm, clutching at the back of his head as Cody points to him and continues clapping. Cody motions that Lazar was this close, and then points to the championship. He whispers something inaudible to him and Lazar nods in acknowledgment.

Cody continues to clap and waves for the crowd to give it up as Lazar makes his way up the ramp. “Robot Rock” hits the sound system as Cody climbs the turnbuckles and raises the sVo Championship high into the air, slapping the center plate a few times. He hypes the crowd up and then let’s out a loud roar as he flexed with the championship.
