sVo Showdown Episode #064
5th December 2010
Goodfellas Casino Arena, Las Vegas Nevada

“Natural High” by The Union Underground hits the sound system as the sVo Showdown entrance video hits the screens of TV’s all over the world! The video featuring the likes of sVo Champion Roscoe Shame, Night, Bobby Dean and Grimnir shows some of the best action to have ever taken place on the flagship show of the Sanctioned Violence Organization.

As the video comes to an end, the camera cuts to the arena and pans around the sold out crowd as pyro’s shoot up from the entrance stage whilst the theme music continues to blast out over the sound system. The camera picks out several signs in the crowd such as “I am The Masked Man”, “Colt Cooper Sold Out!” & “Shame On You Roscoe” as the fireworks continue to explode around the ringside area.

The camera then pans across to the entrance stage, where a video recap of last weeks action is shown on the giant Violence-Tron before tonight’s action gets under-way.

LAST WEEK ON SHOWDOWN #63The fans continue to cheer Grimnir as he backs up the entrance ramp, however out of nowhere Roscoe Shame comes running out from the back and nails Grimnir in the back of the head! The fans boo the arrival of Roscoe Shame alongside his manager Jeremiah Sloan, as he knocks Grimnir down to the floor. Shame then pulls Grimnir up and tosses him into the ring under the bottom rope. The fans continue to boo as Bobby Dean looks over at his best friend and smiles as Shame climbs into the ring. The pair look down at Grimnir who is trying desperately to rise to his feet. It seems that Beautiful Shame are ready to take Grimnir out of action and leave the triple threat match at Seasons Beatings a straight up singles match between the pair.

The fans boo as Roscoe Shame grabs hold of Grimnir by the arms, and Bobby Dean signals to the crowd that he is ready to take off the mask of Grimnir! Grimnir desperately tries to struggle free of Roscoe Shame’s grip as BBD approaches, and before he can get any closer Grimir is able to twist his body and hit Bobby Dean with another kick to the face to send him down to the mat! The fans cheer as Grimnir rolls a stunned Roscoe Shame off with a firemans carry takedown, before rolling out of the ring with his mask intact! The fans cheer loudly for Grimnir as he hops over the security barrier and into the crowd, leaving Bobby Dean and Roscoe Shame struggling to their feet in the ring. However things soon go from bad to worse for Beautiful Shame, as the Company begins to make their way menacingly down the entranceway! The crowd continue to boo the arrival of James Von Drake, Nightmare, Ethan Rider and Colt Cooper as they surround the ring!

With the match out of the way, BBD, Jeremiah Sloan and Roscoe Shame find themselves in the same situation as they were in last week. The Company, bruised and battered, stand surrounding the ring, ready to exact their revenge on these three. The Company rushes into the ring as the two factions square off. The numbers game proves to be too much for Beautiful Shame as they struggle in their fight.

Suddenly there is a commotion in the audience as a figure rushes out, over the guardrail, sliding into the ring, a wooden bat in hand. Swinging the bat he nails JVD in the ribs freeing up Jeremiah Sloan, who quickly goes to help Roscoe Shame against Nightmare and Colt Cooper.

One by one the Company high tails it out of the ring leaving Bobby Dean, Jeremiah Sloan, and Roscoe Shame in the ring with a smiling, bat wielding, Joseph Equinox!BACKSTAGE

THE COMPANYThe scene heads backstage to the parking lot, where a long stretch limo slowly pulls up by the entrance door to the arena. Two burly suited Company agents with ear pieces in their left ears quickly jump forward and open the door of the limo, and boos immediately ring out from the fans watching the action unfold on the V-Tron. First out of the limo is current sVo International Champion and future World Champion Colt Cooper, with the title belt strapped over his shoulder. Quickly behind Cooper is his girlfriend Clarissa English.

Next out of the limo is someone just as unpopular with the fans, as current sVo Las Vegas Champion and 2010 Victory Cup winner James Von Drake climbs out, before helping his wife Lucy Von Drake out of the car. Colt Cooper and Von Drake smile and nod at each other as they admire each others title belts, as next out of the limo steps Howard ‘the Bank’ Thompson, with fiancee Serenity following closely behind. Thompson is soon followed out of the limo by a reluctant looking Ethan Rider, the hit-man of the group. Last but not least is the mastermind behind the whole thing, Matt ‘Anarchy’ Anderson, who is as always wearing his trademark shades.

Matt Anderson: “Well if this isn’t the most dominating group in the history of the business, then I don’t know who is!”

The group, all dressed smartly in expensive suits, nod and congratulate each other, with the exception of Ethan Rider who stands back a few paces and slowly shakes his head.

Matt Anderson: “Last week Bobby Dean and Roscoe Shame thought that they got the better of us, but this week we show them who really runs this place! Tonight the Company shuts down this rebellion once and for all, by unmasking that god damn masked man!”

All the members of the Company, with the exception of the reluctant Ethan Rider and the mysteriously absent Nightmare shout and cheer for the announcement. However as they discuss what they are going to do to former members Bobby Dean and Roscoe Shame later, their attention is suddenly drawn to the left, as the mysterious El Locon slowly walks into view!

El Locon: “Hey Anderson, I am here tonight…. In America!!”

The Company stare down El Locon, before Anderson takes a few steps forward.

Matt Anderson: “What the hell are you doing here tonight you freak? I fired you weeks ago!”

The Company members all laugh at El Locon, as he looks around at them with a confused look on his face.

El Locon: “Matt Anderson, I am here tonight…. In America….. To ask you for my job back….”

Anderson looks at El Locon for a few seconds as if he is actually considering the request, before smiling and shaking his head.

Matt Anderson: “How about no. I fired you for a reason, you are one of the biggest losers I have ever seen in my life! You don’t make the sVo any money, why would we keep a joke like you around? No I don’t want to see your god damn ugly face ever again! Get him boys!”

Anderson laughs to himself as the Company including the two agents jump forward and knock El Locon down to the floor, before beginning to kick the life out of him as the scene fades out.RINGSIDE

GAME OVER FOR GRIMNIR

“Travel Now, Journey Infinitely” plays over the PA, ushering out Grimnir from behind the curtains to a decent sized roar. He waits for the crowd to die down as he brings the mic up to start speaking.

Grimnir: “I know you all have come out here tonight to see a great show and we have it ready for you for sure! I also know you are ready to see who one of the rumored people under this mask, but sadly he has been detained in New York for some reason or another. He sends along his worst wishes and wants you all to know how much he hates you. I wouldn’t have put it in such a way but this is who he is. Anyway, I promised to get you someone and…”

“Sorry You’re Not A Winner” by Enter Shikari begins to play over the sound system and Grimnir turns around, finding himself face to face with Nathan Paradine. The contender for the World Heavyweight Championship cocks his head as Paradine asks for the microphone, eventually obliging.

Nathan Paradine: “Do you think this is funny?”

Grimnir shrugs and Paradine snatches his sunglasses off his face, scowling.

Nathan Paradine: “This isn’t a bloody joke, mate. You think you can come out here and poke fun at me for what I have to do? You think you can tease fun at the fact that I have to reveal the identity of the Masked Man tonight, while you get to keep playing your silly little mind games with not only Beautiful Shame, but with the rest of the roster?”

Grimnir shakes his head, and Paradine roughly shoves him sending him staggering back a step or two. He regards the masked wrestler for a moment before suddenly catching him with a blow to the jaw, knocking him down. Paradine kneels over Grimnir and speaks again.

Nathan Paradine: “You can forget out your little games for tonight. Do whatever the hell you have to do, but if I hear a single mention of you unmasking yourself… I might… just… snap. Are we clear, Grimnir? I’m in no mood for your tricks.”

Grimnir slowly nods, one hand pressed to the side of his mask. Paradine throws down the microphone and his music resumes playing as he disappears backstage, while Grimnir climbs to his feet and follows soon after leaving more than a few people curious as to what ill come of this alteration.BACKSTAGE

PLEASE LEAVE A MESSAGE AFTER THE BEEP

Pacing the back halls of the arena a displeased, anxious looking Jeremiah Sloan walks tirelessly back and forth with a cell phone pressed against his ears. Sighing in frustration as once again the call goes directly to voicemail. Listening to the automated spiel about leaving your name and number and a brief message after the beep, the beep finally sounds.

Jeremiah Sloan: Hey man, it’s me again. I know, I’m turning into a stalker here, but I really need to talk to you. Anyway, give me a call when you get a chance, I might just have an opportunity of a lifetime for ya. Later.

Hanging up the phone Jeremiah Sloan looks up and spies the camera crew peeking around the corner. Aggravated and annoyed Jeremiah flips the camera the bird before storming off, back to his dressing room.ADVERTISEMENT

“Last Resort” hits the sound system and there is a mixed reaction from the fans as the sVo Tag Team Champions Rey Rosario and Crippler comes out completely ignoring the crowd. Rosario slowly makes his way down the entrance ramp, remaining focused on the ring as he continues to ignore the noise from the fans. Crippler enters underneath the bottom rope and sits down on the corner awaiting the match to start.

The lights go out in the Goodfellas Casino Arena, as spotlights shine over the entryway. Guitars echo throughout the building, as Bob Seger’s “Turn the Page” begin to sound off of the public announce system in the arena. The fans cheer, as light shines through the entryway, crafting the silhouettes of two large individuals as they walk through the curtains and into the spotlights. The House had arrived.

With Adam Roebuck and Crippler in the ring ready to start this match off for their respective teams, the referee calls for the bell to be rung and this opening match of the night officially gets underway! Roebuck and Crippler both more forward to the middle of the ring and meet with a tie up. Crippler tries to take Roebucks arm in a wrist lock, however Roebuck uses his strength advantage to knock Crippler off with some back elbows. Crippler staggers away as Roebuck pounds away on him with some big right hands. Crippler then gets grabbed by the arm by Roebuck, who shoots him into the ring ropes. However as Crippler bounces back into the middle of the ring, he goes down low on Roebuck with a diving dropkick to the big man’s knees.

Roebuck holds his knees in pain, as Crippler takes him down to the mat with a spinning neckreaker. With Roebuck down, Crippler makes the tag out to Rey Rosario. Rosario jumps into the ring and quickly konkcs Roebuck down with a short arm clothesline. The fans cheer for the former International Champion Rosario as he lays into Roebuck with some mounted punches, before letting the big man to his feet. Huber calls for a tag from his partner, however Rosario takes him back down to the mat with a belly to belly suplex. With Roebuck down on the mat, Rosario rises to his feet and signals to the crowd, before bouncing into the ropes and dropping the knee down onto his opponent. Rosario quickly rolls back to his feet before making the tag out to Crippler.

Crippler climbs back into the ring and then begins to stomp away on Roebuck as he begins to get to his feet. As Roebuck reaches a standing position, Crippler grabs hold of him in a waist lock before trying to take him down to the mat with a German suplex. However the big man manages to block the move, before taking Crippler down to the mat with a snapmare takedown! With Crippler down on the mat, Roebuck lands a big splash on his opponent, before making the tag out to Huber!

Huber climbs into the ring, and quickly knocks Crippler down to the mat with a big right hand as he begins to get to his feet. The fans cheer the big move from Huber, as he scoop slams Crippler back down to the mat as he tries to get up. With Crippler down, Huber bounces into the ring ropes, before dropping a big leg down across the chest of Crippler.

Huber stomps away on Crippler as he tries to get to his feet, before finally allowing him up and sending him into the corner of the ring. With Crippler in the corner, Huber runs at him and lands a big splash in the corner of the ring, before bulldogging him into the middle of the ring! With Crippler down on the mat, Huber flips him over before making the cover.

TWO…

NO!

Rosario quickly gets back into the ring to break up the cover! The fans cheer Rosario as he makes his way back into the corner of the ring, whilst Huber pulls Crippler up to his feet before throwing him into his own corner. Huber makes the tag out to Roebuck, and the two men lay into Crippler with double team stomps until the referee reaches the count of five and Huber exits the ring. Roebuck pulls Crippler up to a standing position, before dropping him down across his knee with a big back breaker. The fans cheer on ‘The House’ as they look firmly in control of the sVo Tag Team Champions.

Roebuck taunts to the fans as Crippler rises up to his feet, only to get some big right hands from his opponent. Roebuck shoots Crippler into the ropes, before taking him down to the mat with a side walk slam as he bounces back into the middle of the ring. Roebuck lays into Crippler with some big stomps, before making the tag back out to Huber.

Huber jumps into the ring and begins to make his way over to Crippler who is crawling to his own corner to try and make the tag out. However Huber grabs him by the legs and pulls him back into the middle of the ring, before nailing him with a big head butt. Huber then positions Crippler for a suplex in the middle of the ring, however as he tries to hit the move, Crippler manages to counter the move by locking his legs around Huber’s! Huber tries once again to hit the move, however this time Crippler is able to counter into a snap suplex of his own! With Huber down on the mat, Crippler crawls across and finally manages to tag in Rey Rosario!

The fans cheer as Rosario hits the ring, and knocks down Huber with a clothesline as he tries to get to his feet, before also knowing Roebuck off of the ring apron! Rey Rosario turns his attention back to Huber as the big man tries to get to his feet, however as Rosario tries to send him into the ropes, Huber reverses and shoots Rosario into the ropes. Huber looks for a back body drop as Rosario bounces back into the middle of the ring, however the former International Champion manages to counter with a flying forearm to his opponent. Huber quickly rises back to his feet, but the Tag Team Champion Rosario takes him back down to the mat with a big belly to back lifting mat slam! With Huber down on the mat, Rosario makes the cover!

ONE…

TWO…

Huber gets a shoulder up off of the mat, before the three can be counted. Rosario looks disappointed as he rises up to his feet. However before Rosario can continue the offence, he is nailed from behind by Adam Roebuck! The referee orders Roebuck out of the ring, however the big man ignores him and continues to stomp away on Rosario! Crippler quickly dives into the ring and tackles Roebuck out of the ring as the referee looks to have completely lost control of this match!

Huber grabs hold of Rosario by the back of the head, and spins him around before hitting him with big rights and lefts. Huber takes a few steps forward before running at Rosario looking for a clothesline, however Rosario ducks under the arm of Huber and takes him down to the mat with a big neckbreaker! The fans cheer for the move as Huber slowly begins to rise to his feet, whilst Rosario taunts to the fans! Huber runs forward towards Rosario, but the tag team Champion nails him with a knee to the midsection, before dropping him on his head with a massive DDT! As Crippler and Roebuck continue to brawl on the outside of the ring, Rosario makes the cover on Huber!

ONE…

TWO…

THREE!

This one is all over, and its the sVo Tag Team Champions who pick up the win in tonight’s opening match! The referee raises Rosario’s hand in the air in victory, as Crippler slams Roebuck’s head into the steel steps onto the outside of the ring, before rolling into the ring to celebrate the victory with his tag team partner.

OUTCOME: Canadian Connection defeats The House via pinfallRINGSIDE

CLIMBING THE LADDER TO SUCCESSThe Canadian Connection continue to celebrate the victory in the middle of the ring, however as they do boos ring out around the arena as DVD and Limp leap out of the crowd! The team of Xtreme Fusion quickly slide into the ring under the bottom rope, and begin to stomp away on the sVo Tag Team Champions! Rosario and Crippler try to battle back, and soon Roebuck and Huber roll back into the ring to join the brawl!

The referee tries to stop the war between the three teams, but is powerless to stop it! Suddenly even more boos ring out around the arena, as down the entrance ramp sprints the two men that beat Xtreme Fusion last week on UnSanctioned, the Rodriguez Brothers! The brothers jump into the ring and begin to hit anything that moves, as the eight men continue to tear the hell out of each other!

The fans chant loudly for The House and the Canadian Connection in the big street fight, until the arrival of Matt Anderson at the top of the entrance ramp with a microphone in his hands is greeted with boos from the fans.

Matt Anderson: “ENOUGH! Week after week you guys have jumped each other, and every time I book a tag team match it seems to end with you eight tearing the hell out of each other!”

The four teams stop their fighting to listen to Anderson speak as security streams down the entrance ramp to separate them.

Matt Anderson: “If you four teams are so desperate to climb the ladder here in the sVo by beating the hell out of each other, then the least you can do is make me some money whilst you are doing it! That is why at Seasons Beatings I am booking all of you in the sVo’s first ever Tag Team title ladder match!”

All the competitors look pleased with the announcement, with the exception of the current champions.

Matt Anderson: “But if any of you lay a hand on an opposing team when not in a sanctioned match between now and then, then your team is going to be thrown out of the match!”

All the four teams stare each other down in the ring, as Showdown heads to a commercial.BACKSTAGE

WHISPERS IN THE WINDShowdown cuts back to the parking lot, where an annoyed looking Samuel Amos is arriving at the arena. Samuel Amos has the sVo TapOut Championship belt in his hands, ready to use it as a weapon against anyone that might jump out and try and make him submit to win the belt from him. Amos, who last week scored a massive win over sVo World Heavyweight Champion Roscoe Shame seems to be moving cautiously through the parking lot, making sure no one is there to jump out on him, but he is suddenly stopped in his tracks as he thinks he hears a voice whisper to him.

Samuel Amos: “Who is it?”

Amos looks around and raises his belt up, ready to smash it in the face of anyone that is going to jump out on him. Amos waits for a few seconds before taking a few steps forward, and once again hears the whispers as the wind blows through the parking lot.

Samuel Amos: “Show yourself whoever you are! Fight me like a man!”

Amos glances around the parking lot, but no one jumps out. Amos shakes his head and laughs to himself, blaming the wind blowing through the parking lot for his paranoia. Amos places the belt back onto his shoulder and walks forward towards the door to the arena and steps through confident in the knowledge that no one was there at all.

Amos slams the door shut behind him as he disappears into the arena, just as a group of shadows fall over the closed door….BACKSTAGE

POSSIBLE FLAMES

Clarissa::”How do you expect me to do that?”

Colt Cooper and Clarissa English are seen in the Goodfellas Casino Arena. They seem to be in joyous mood. Chatting alot and lots of laughter. Clarissa is dressed in this bright red dress with a couple black stripes going from the shoulder down to bottom end of her back. Her hair in little curls and some red lipstick to coordinate with the dress. Colt’s been trying to get his suit game up so he’s in special cut tailored suit by Armani. Just a simple blue and black flavor with a pair of blue Stacy Adams for his footwear. His International title on his right shoulder and a Nike duffel bag in his left hand with his ring attire in it.

Colt::”Just tell him that you want to come with me to the ring tonight.”

Clarissa shakes her head knowing that her father would think something of that.

Clarissa::”I don’t know…you tell him.”

Colt stops in his tracks and so does Clarissa. She’s looking with an uncertain look but at the same time looks as if she’s holding in a laugh.

Colt::”I ask him? That would be like me not showing up to my match tonight. Instead of doing what I promised me and Ethan were going to do to Beautiful Shame…he’s going to do to me.”

She giggles and grabs a hold of Colt’s arm.

Clarissa::”Don’t be so silly. He may even consider it. Remember he has been going out with Sarah.”

She tries to persuade him quick, but The Coopster can’t fall for this one. Even though Clive may be in a good mood.

Colt::”True…very true…but you know that he’ll think something. I don’t want to have two people thinking that me and you have something going on.”

Clarissa chuckles as always. Always laughing at anything that’s said. No wonder she’s a blonde.

Clarissa::”Me and you…I don’t think that will ever work out. I’m not into those so into themselves guys.”

Colt looks at Clarissa as if he’s flabbergasted.

Colt::”I’m not so into myself. I’m just a little different from the rest.”

Clarissa::”Oh yes you are. With the all hail Colt Cooper thing you and my dad have been putting on. You aint no World Champion boy.”

What? Where in the hell does she get the right to talk to Colt like that? Yet…anybody?

Colt::”Well I am a one time Tag Team Champion, and the current International Champion…and I’m only nineteen if you want me to add that in. I’ve been making your father look quite awesome along with me. If I wasn’t in a relationship then you MAY have been able to join this ride also.

Clarissa::”Please…You haven’t done anything yet. Just some victories and some titles wins. Your fear is soon to come up and watch you crumble.”

Colt smirks and taps his foot while nodding his head.

Colt::”Ok then Mrs. English….I’ll tell your farther that you’re coming to the ring with me just so you can see up close how I will not crumble under tough circumstances. Roscoe Shame is a paper ass World Champion. Dean….I don’t know what to say about him, but this love thing they got going for themselves is starting to freak me out.”

Clarissa::”You lose you have to take me out sometime next week.”

Colt::”I win…you have to work at a Horse Stable cleaning up their shit.”

Clarissa belches by the thought of that, but she thinks..she THINKS Roscoe and Dean are better than Colt and Ethan. Remember…she’s thinking.

Clarissa::”You got yourself a deal.”

Colt puts out his pinky finger and so does Clarissa. They lock them up, and the scene fades out on the two them heading down the hall to his home.BACKSTAGE

FROM THE SHADOWS….The scene returns to ringside, the camera panning around the crowd to reveal the packed house for tonight’s event. Slowly the camera pans upwards towards the rafters of the arena, eventually locating a cloaked figure standing balanced on a steel beam; the Masked Man! The crowd cheers as the image is displayed on the sVo-Tron, however he turns around and moves back into the shadows, disappearing from view. Obviously the Masked Man is in attendance for the umasking later in the evening… will his identity finally be revealed to the world?BACKSTAGE

WORTH IT?

Lounging in their dressing room the confident, borderline arrogant, faces of Roscoe Shame and Joseph Equinox look up at “Beautiful” Bobby Dean as he rattles off name after name after name.

BBD: What about Beautiful Shame & Joey Equinox?

Roscoe Shame: Come on man…

Equinox: What about Equinox and Beautiful Shame?

BBD: I don’t like it.

Equinox and shame share a laugh at Bobby’s deadpanned response.

Roscoe Shame: Why? Because it doesn’t start out with “Beautiful”?

BBD: Exactly.

The other two just laugh harder at Bobby’s blunt honesty. The three men fail to notice the arrival of their agent Jeremiah Sloan until Sloan plops down in a seat of his own. With a defeated look on his face the other three stop their mirth and look questioningly at Sloan.

Roscoe Shame: And?

Jeremiah Sloan: Still no answer. It’s been a damn week and he still won’t answer.

Equinox: Do we even need him anymore? I mean, you guys got me now.

BBD: He’s got a good point. Odds are pretty much evened out now with Joey here.

Roscoe Shame: Jay? Is this guy worth it?

Jeremiah Sloan: Definitely.

BBD: Who is this guy?

Jeremiah Sloan: Someone that apparently doesn’t check his damn voice mail! I’ll give him another ring later.

With that said the three men turn their attention back to their original subject.

BBD: What about Beautiful Bitches?

Roscoe Shame: Sounds too gay.

Equinox: Yeah, sounds like Roscoe and I are your bitches.

BBD: Roscoe and you are my bitches.

The three of them once again break out into laughter as they continue rattling name after worthless name.BACKSTAGE

THE LAST STRAW

The skybox high above the arena. Matt Anderson looks out the window, surveying the show going on beneath him when he is interrupted by the loud bang of his door being kicked open. He grins grimly to himself without turning to see the culprit.

Matt Anderson: “Mr. Miyamoto – always a pleasure.”

Nightmare: “Very funny, Anderson. If you know me so fucking well then why are you guys giving me the run around you have been these past few weeks.”

Anderson turns slowly to face Nightmare and the trailing Akira Kimura who rolls his eyes looking completely uninterested. Nightmare fumes at Anderson who puffs merrily on his cigar.

Matt Anderson: “Why, Ryuu – I honestly have no idea what you’re talking about!”

Anarchy pours on the false innocence, all the while grinning like a cheshire cat at the enraged masked man.

Nightmare: “Cut the shit. The Teacher? What the hell! I’ve taken care of EVERYONE you’ve thrown in front of me. I don’t need to run down the list – you know damn well who I’ve beaten… pretty much everyone who’s been getting in your way.”

Nightmare stalks closer to his well-suited employer.

Nightmare: “You wanted Shame taken care of? Night? Equinox? I beat them all. I put BBD in the Nightmare Sleeper. I’ve thrown Alex Brooks from the entrance stage… and headfirst into a concrete wall…”

Anderson snickers.

Matt Anderson: “Yeah – I saw that… nice one!”

Nightmare snaps at Anderson’s amusement.

Nightmare: “Don’t fucking ‘nice one’ me. The fact remains – I TOLD you that I demanded a token of The Company’s appreciation for all I’ve done for you all or you’d have to find a new guy to take care of your loose ends.”

Matt Anderson: “And we did just that?”

There is a tense silence as the masked Japanese wrestler stares at Matt Anderson questioningly.

Nightmare: “And would you care to tell me exactly HOW a match with The Teacher is any kind of reward for my efforts?”

Anderson scoffs a laugh.

Matt Anderson: “Well – we figured you might learn something… and a good education is always the richest reward.”

Kimura now too tries to restrain a laugh as Nightmare literally seems to be burning with rage under his mask. Without warning he lashes out his right hand, grabbing Anderson by the throat – his left grabbing Kimura similarly.

Nightmare: “You two old-fucking-has-beens think this is a joke? When it comes to my payment I am deadly serious…”

Matt Anderson: “… why don’t you go to the ring and vent some of your frustrations in your match?”

Nightmare squeezes tighter as he drags Anderson towards him so they are only inches away from each other.

Nightmare: “I’m not one of your moronic little pawns, Anderson. I know that what you want… no… what you NEED is for me to go to the ring and remove The Teacher from the sVo. No – I told you, until I get what I deserve I’m not doing shit for you.”

Akira Kimura: “Knowing these guys, you’ll be waiting a while.”

Both Kimura and Anderson gasp and wheeze as the deranged masked man continues to choke them both.

Matt Anderson: “Look, you the fact remains you took care of NEARLY everyone we asked you to. Three times now you’ve tried to take out Alex Brooks but the stupid little-prick is still some sort of self-styled ‘leader’ of the sVo locker room.”

Nightmare: “A blond-teenager with a sense of self-delusion… what a fucking shocker.”

Anderson struggles against Nightmare’s grip but it is too tight. He strains and struggles to breathe.

Matt Anderson: “So you’re going to start throwing matches to get back at us? Talk about shooting yourself in the foot to get back at your leg. You’d be insane to even consider something as stupid as that. Just get Brooks out of the picture… oh, AND The Teacher… then we’ll talk.”

Nightmare: “We all know what you need to happen. Let’s see what happens when it doesn’t.”

Finally he releases his grip on the two older mens’ throats, shoving them both back roughly before storming out of the skybox. Once satisfied he is gone the two old rivals glare at each other.

Matt Anderson: “All of your students that crazy?”

Akira Kimura: “Thankfully no.”
“Sinner” by Drowning Pool begins. On the big screen we see highlights of DJ. Then DJ comes out walking and dancing a bit toward the ring.

“Your Betrayal” by Bullet for my Valentine hits the sound system and the fans in the arena quickly begin to boo. After a few seconds red fireworks shoot up from the entrance stage as Samuel Amos walks out and taunts to the fans. Amos looks around at the crowd, before slowly making his way down the entrance ramp towards the ring. Amos ignores the outstretched hands of the fans as he climbs up onto the ring apron before turning to taunt the fans again. The fans continue to boo Amos as he steps into the ring by climbing through the ring ropes before preparing for the match to start in the corner of the ring.

The referee holds the sVo TapOut Championship belt in the air to signal that it will be on the line in tonight’s match. Amos smirks as DJ stares up at the championship belt that he will be challenging for tonight. The referee hands the belt to the outside of the ring, and calls for the bell to be rung and the match to get underway! Samuel Amos quickly rushes forward and takes advantage of DJ with a cheap right hand to knock the high flier down to the mat. DJ quickly rises up to his feet, but Amos takes him down to the mat with a scoop slam, before dropping an elbow across the chest of his opponent.

The fans boo loudly as Amos rises up to his feet with a smile on his face. The man who last week beat the sVo World Heavyweight Champion on Showdown signals to the crowd, but as he does DJ takes advantage with a dropkick to the back of the champions head. Amos falls forward into the ropes, and DJ follows up with some big punches to the back of his head. Amos turns around, but DJ takes him down to the mat with a snap suplex, before dropping down onto Amos with a forward roll leg drop. The fans cheer the big move from DJ, but as he gets to his feet Amos quickly rolls out of the ring to put some space between himself and his opponent.

The fans boo the actions of Amos, however DJ doesn’t seem to be in the mood to wait around, as he takes a few steps backwards, before running and launching himself through the ropes to his a suicide dive onto Samuel Amos! The fans cheer the huge move from DJ as both men lay on the floor motionless for a few seconds as the referee checks on them both. DJ is the first man to slowly rise up to his feet, and he stomps away on Samuel Amos whilst soaking in the cheers from the fans. Samuel Amos slowly begins to rise to his feet, but the Corporation member quickly grabs him and drops him across the security barrier!

Amos stumbles backwards holding his face in pain, and DJ quickly locks him in a full nelson submission hold! The crowd rise to their feet and cheer as the referee asks Samuel Amos if he would like to quit and surrender his sVo TapOut Championship, however he quickly shakes his head and manages to throw DJ down to the hard floor with a hip toss. The crowd boo as Samuel Amos lays into DJ with some big stomps whilst he tries to get back to his feet. DJ finally reaches a standing position, but he is quickly grabbed by the back of the head by Samuel Amos and slammed head first into the steel ring steps!

DJ staggers backwards holding his face in pain, before being rolled back into the ring under the bottom rope by Amos. Amos himself quickly rolls into the ring as well before allowing DJ to his feet. Amos quickly grabs hold of DJ by the arm and whips him hard into the ring ropes. DJ bounces back into the middle of the ring and Amos takes him down to the mat with a stiff powerslam. The fans boo the move as Amos rises up to his feet and cockily taunts to the fans. DJ slowly begins to make his way up to a standing position, however Amos continues to punish his opponent with some stiff punches to the face of his opponent. DJ finally reaches a standing position, but Amos takes him straight back down to the mat with a single leg takedown. With DJ down on the mat, Amos flips him over and locks on a leg grapevine submission hold!

The fans boo the move from the first ever TapOut Champion as he leans back on the submission hold to try and score the victory over his challenger. DJ screams out in pain as he reaches out desperatly for the bottom rope to force a break in the hold. Amos screams at DJ to tap out from the pain, however somehow DJ manages to twist his way out of the hold. DJ staggers up to his feet, but Amos quickly goes behind onto DJ in a waist lock. Amos looks for a takedown on DJ, but the high flying Corporation member counters with an arm drag onto the TapOut Champion!

The fans cheer the big counter from DJ, but Amos rises straight back up to his feet. DJ lays into Amos with some stiff forearm smashes, before whipping him hard into the corner of the ring. Amos hits the corner chest first, and as he stumbles backwards DJ takes him down with a big German suplex! The fans cheer for the big move from DJ as he rolls to his feet and taunts to the crowd. Amos rises up to his feet holding the back of his head in pain, but DJ is there waiting for him! DJ leaps up and grabs Amos before taking him to the mat with a rolling arm bar! The fans cheer for the impressive submission move from DJ, as it looks as if he is trying to break the arm of the TapOut Champion!

Samuel Amos shouts out in pain, and it looks as if we could be in line to crown a new sVo TapOut Champion right here! Amos reaches out for the ropes, but is no where near them as the referee asks him if he would like to quit. Amos quickly shakes his head before rolling over and trying to get DJ to release the hold. However DJ keeps the arm bar locked on tight! Amos looks as if he is thinking about tapping out, before giving one last huge effort to roll forward and lay into DJ with some punches with his free hand. The punches in the face cause DJ to loosen the hold, and Amos is finally able to free himself from the arm bar!

The fans boo loudly as Amos stumbles up to his feet holding his arm in pain after the punishment that it has gone through from the submission hold. Once again Amos quickly climbs out of the ring to put some space between himself and his challenger, however this time Amos quickly makes his way over to the TapOut Championship belt and picks it up from the time keepers table! The crowd boo loudly as Amos waves them off, and begins to make his way to the entrance ramp!

It looks like Samuel Amos has had enough of this match, and is making his way backstage!

The fans boo loudly for the actions of Samuel Amos, but DJ doesn’t look to be finished with the match as he jumps out of the ring and makes his way up the entrance ramp in pursuit of Samuel Amos and the TapOut Championship! DJ grabs Amos by the shoulder and spins him around, but Amos looks as if he was expecting it as he smashes DJ in the face with the gold! It looks like DJ might have has his nose broken after that shot to the face with the belt, as Amos holds the belt in the air on the top of the entrance ramp and soaks in the boos from the fans! Amos quickly drops down and locks in an arm triangle choke on DJ! The fans continue to boo loudly, as after a few seconds of the submission move DJ has no choice but to submit before passing out!

TAP, TAP, TAP!

Despite the submission of his opponent, Amos keeps the choke hold locked in to make a point, as the fans continue to boo the TapOut Champion! The referee desperatly pleads with Amos to break the hold, however he keeps it locked in for a few more seconds before finally releasing it. DJ looks like he might be out cold as Amos stands over him on the top of the entrance ramp and holds his sVo TapOut Championship belt high in the air in victory after yet another successful defence.

TRUST ISSUES

The scene opens up to the backstage area where we see Nathan Paradine and Cody Williams sitting on two folding chairs in the middle of the room. Paradine is wearing an sVo t-shirt and Cody is wearing a CCXX: Second Coming t-shirt, both of which are available in the sVo shopzone for $24.99!!!

Nathan Paradine finishes wrapping up his wrists with athletic tape while Cody Williams sits next to him sliding on the last of his Japanese-stlye kick pads over his boot.

Cody Williams: Just remember the game plan, and this match is ours for the taking.

Paradine turns his head and attention towards Cody Williams, and places his forearms on his upper thigh. He pushes his sunglasses up onto his forehead and stares at Cody.

Nathan Paradine: As long as you keep your word that you have my back, then there is no question that we will walk out victorious.

Cody Williams: You have my word Paradine, and I trust that you will do the same.

“The Reflection of Perfection” slowly gets up onto his feet and begins to turn away. Nathan Paradine stands up quickly and places his hand on Cody’s shoulder, stopping him from going any further.

Nathan Paradine: Just one second there sunshine..

Cody turns his attention to the hand on his shoulder and slowly begins to turn around, to find Nathan Paradine standing there, glaring into the eyes of Cody Williams, Cody looking him up and down.

Nathan Paradine: Let’s make one thing clear.. You and I may have been enemies in the past but tonight I need you to stay focused on the task at hand. I know that you have your eyes set on the Las Vegas championship, and so do I. But you need to reassure me that you are focused on the challenge that is in front of us. And that my friend, is to take out James Von Drake and Karma Jones! Do I make myself clear?

A smirkish grin fills the face of Cody Williams from ear to ear as he lets out a small chuckle.

Cody Williams: Perfectly clear!

Nathan Paradine: That’s what I like to hear.

Nathan nods his head in approval while Cody continues to grin towards him. Paradine reaches up to the top of his forehead and grabs hold of his sunglasses, tipping them downwards to rest on the bridge of his nose. A small grin fills the side of Paradine’s mouth as he nods at Cody. He turns around and walks away, disappearing from the view of the camera as Cody sits back down and pulls his knee and elbow pads out from his duffel bag.BACKSTAGE

WELL… THAT WAS EASY…

Colt Cooper, Clive English, and Clarissa English all sit inside of Colt’s home. Clarissa’s looking on at Colt gesturing for him to go ahead and tell her father the news from earlier.

Colt::{Mumbling} “Hold on.”

Clarissa just nods, but Clive doesn’t see the two talking to each other.

Clarissa::”So daddy…..how have your dates been with Sarah?”

Clive lights up like Rudolph’s the red nose reindeer nose.

Clive::”They’ve been superb. She’s like your mother..but better. She even knows how to throw a football. You know your father loves some football. Her favorite team is Dallas.”

Colt snickers and slides his chair up beside Clive’s chair.

Colt::”That’s awesome. Nothing like having a chick that’s into the things you like the most. She has any kids?”

Clive::”Just two….a son by the name of Colton…and a daughter by the name Jenna. They’re both in college right now.”

Clarissa::”That’s delightful.”

Clarissa motions for Colt to ask her father if it would be alright for her to escort Colt to the ring. Besides she believes that he’s going to lose.

Clive::”We have a date tonight.”

Clive stands from his chair messing with his bow tie. Clarissa looks at Colt whose looking back at her unconcerned.

Colt::”So what time is this date?

Colt stands beside Clive putting his arm around his shoulder.

Clive::”In about an hour. I’ll be gone before your match. Jed’s taking me to pick her up…and off to Olive Gardens we go.

He smiles bright again, and Clarissa is in the background doing some kind of dance that she doesn’t have to worry about Colt asking her dad to escort him to the ring.

Colt::”I’m proud of you man. Very Proud.

Clive::”Make me proud tonight by winning. Ok.

Scene fades out to Clive exiting Colt’s home, and Colt and Clarissa talking with one another.BACKSTAGE

FRIEND OR FOE?In the backstage area, a victorious Samuel Amos is making his way through the gorilla position with his sVo TapOut Championship still on his shoulder. The angry looking Amos stares down every man and woman he passes, send out a message to them not to fuck with him, and not to try and make him submit. Everyone flinches and turns their head away from Amos, until the young TapOut Champion locks eyes with the man running the show, Mr Matt Anderson, flanked by two of his biggest Company agents.

Matt Anderson: “Another impressive win Amos.”

The sVo TapOut Champion shrugs his shoulders as if it was nothing.

Samuel Amos: “You keep sending them at me Anderson, and I will keep making them tap. You might have thought it was funny to make me defend this thing every minute of every day, but truth be told everyone is scared to even try and challenge for it anymore.”

Amos smirks at Anderson, the man who put him in the situation of having to defend the TapOut title at all times, but Anderson doesn’t seem to mind the verbal jab.

Matt Anderson: “Well I remember that day when you came to me asking for your shot. You certainly took it with both hands.”

Samuel Amos: “I told you I was deserving Anderson. I told you I was heading to to the top. Just a shame you are making me tear apart half of your roster to get there. See what I did to the World Heavyweight Champion last week?”

Anderson smirks at the thought of Roscoe Shame losing his match against Amos last week on Showdown.

Matt Anderson: “I saw that, I was watching with great interest. You have been backing up your words for the last few months, which is why I would like to give you an opportunity….”

Amos looks at Anderson with a confused look on his face.

Samuel Amos: “This going to be anything like the last opportunity? When you made is so that anyone could attack me at any time and try and win my belt?”

Anderson stares at Amos, before slowly shaking his head.

Matt Anderson: “Not at all. This is an opportunity to move on to bigger and better things. This is an opportunity to be fighting World Heavyweight Champions in the future, but only this time with the belt on the line….”

Anderson has the full attention of his audience.

Matt Anderson: “… this is an opportunity to join the Company and have a ticket straight to the top.”

Amos looks at Anderson with suspicious eyes before answering.

Samuel Amos: “And why don’t I just win the One Shot match in a months time and earn that shot at the World Heavyweight Championship all by myself?”

Matt Anderson: “You could do… but depending on if your a friend or a foe of the Company, you could either enter that match very late on and have an excellent chance, or enter it very early and have a not so good chance…. I will give you a little time to decide. Are you a friend, or are you a foe?”

Anderson taps the championship belt on Samuel Amos’ shoulder before walking away, leaving the champion with something to think about.
“Stand Up” – Trapt begins to play over the sound system and the lights in the arena cut out. A spotlight searches around the crowd until it picks out The Teacher slowly making his way through the fans towards the ring. The Teacher leaps over the barrier and slides into the ring, ready to bring another wrong-doer to justice.

The arena lights fade and a red light begins to slowly strobe as “March of the Pigs” by Nine Inch Nails pounds through the arena over the PA system. The crowd burst into a loud chorus of boos as The Company logo floats onto the sVo tron, quickly replaced by a name.

“N I G H T M A R E”

The curtains part and a man in red trunks with a black streak down the side and a black mask cut away at the top to reveal a freshly shaved head of hair. He half-grins/half-sneers at the jeering audience surrounding him and wastes little time in stalking down the entrance ramp before quickly sliding under the bottom rope and into the ring. He stands, jawing off at various members of the crowd as he awaits the start of the match.

The referee calls for the bell to be rung, and this match between the two masked superstars is officially under way! The Teacher and Nightmare stalk each other around the ring, before The Teacher dives forward and tries to hit a single leg takedown onto his opponent. Nightmare manages to fight The Teacher off with some elbow shots to the top of his head, before shooting him hard into the ring ropes. The Teacher bounces back into the middle of the ring and is taken down to the mat with a arm drag takedown into an arm bar by Nightmare.

Nightmare tries to twist back to the arm of Teacher, but Teacher manages to rise up to his knees, before taking Nightmare down to the mat with a fireman’s carry takedown. The Teacher tries to apply a nerve hold armbar of his own onto Nightmare, however the monster manages to roll out of the hold before it can be fully applied. Both men rise to their feet, however Nightmare runs through The Teacher with a massive clothesline in the middle of the ring. The fans boo the move from Nightmare, as he begins to stomp away on his downed opponent. The Teacher tries to rise up to his feet, however as he does Nightmare grabs him by the back of the head and slams him face first into the turnbuckle.

The Teacher bounces back holding his face in pain, and is quickly taken down to the mat with a chopblock from Nightmare. With The Teacher down on the mat, Nightmare begins to work away on the legs of his opponents with some stiff stomps, before locking in a reverse heel lock. The Teacher is quickly able to grab the ropes to cause the rope break, however Nightmare keeps the move locked on for the full five seconds before he has to release it or by DQ’ed.

Nightmare rises up to his feet looking very pleased with himself, but gets nothing but boos from the fans as the Teacher limps to a standing position. The Teacher throws a right hand in the direction of Nightmare, however Nightmare ducks under the punch before hitting an atomic drop on his opponent. The Teacher limps forward after the move, allowing Nightmare to grab him around the waist before taking him down to the mat with a German suplex into a bridge!

ONE…

TWO…

NO!

It looked as if Nightmare was going to pick up the win there, however The Teacher is able to get a shoulder up off of the mat before the three could be counted. Nightmare rises up to his feet, and immediately tries to lock in the ‘Nightmare Sleeper’ onto his opponent, however The Teacher seems to have the move scouted as he manages to fight his way out with some back elbows to the face of his opponent before sliding out of the ring under the bottom rope.

Nightmare attempts to keep the momentum going in the match as he rolls to the outside and grabs The Teacher from behind. However the fans cheer as The Teacher nails Nightmare with an elbow to the midsection, before whipping him hard into the steel ring steps! The monster Nightmare goes tumbling into the steel ring steps, and lays on the mat holding his knees in pain. The fans cheer loudly as The Teacher quickly follows up the move by making his way around to Nightmare and beginning to stomp away on his knees. Nightmare shouts out in pain as he tries to get back to his feet, however The Teacher grabs him by the back of the head and slams him hard into the side of the ring, before rolling him back into the ring under the bottom rope.

With Nightmare in the ring, The Teacher climbs up onto the ring apron and slingshots himself over the top rope onto the body of Nightmare, before turning to make the cover on the brother of former sVo World Heavyweight Champion Night.

ONE…

TWO..

NO!

The Teacher only gets a near fall as Nightmare is able to get a shoulder up off of the mat before the three can be counted by the referee. The Teacher wastes no time as he grabs Nightmare and pulls him back up to his feet, before sending him into the corner of the ring. With Nightmare in the corner, The Teacher lays into his opponent with some stiff chops across the chest. The fans cheer for each chop across the chest, however the move seem to wake up Nightmare as he suddenly grabs hold of The Teacher and throws him into the corner! Nightmare opens up on The Teacher with some stiff body punches, before pulling him out of the corner and sending him down to the mat with a belly to back suplex!

Nightmare grabs The Teacher in a side head lock and begins to wear down his opponent in the middle of the ring, as the fans packed into the Goodfellas Casino Arena begin to chant for The Teacher. Nightmare tries to silence the crowd as he pulls The Teacher up to his feet in the side head lock, before sending him back down to the mat with a stiff reverse DDT.

The fans boo loudly for Nightmare as he rises up to his feet and taunts to the crowd. Nightmare begins to trash talk with some of the fans at ringside, but as he does The Teacher slowly begins to rise up to a standing position behind his back! Nightmare turns around, but as he does The Teacher is there waiting for him with a jaw breaker! Nightmare staggers backwards after the move, and The Teacher is able to take him down to the mat with a monkey flip. The fans cheer for the move, but as The Teacher bounces into the ring ropes and runs back at Nightmare looking for a clothesline, Nightmare grabs the referee and pulls him into the path of The Teacher! The Teacher ends up taking out the referee with a stiff clothesline, causing loud boos from the crowd at the actions of Nightmare!

The Teacher checks on the referee, but as he does Nightmare takes advantage with a low blow to send the Teacher down to the mat. Nightmare slowly rises up to a standing position and looks down at The Teacher, before getting a wide grin on his face. The fans wonder just what Nightmare is doing as he climbs out of the ring to the outside, and grabs a steel chair from ringside! Boos ring out around the arena as Nightmare holds the steel chair up for the crowd to see, before climbing back into the ring! Nightmare stares down on his opponent for a long time, before beginning to lay into him with some stiff shots with the steel chair! The fans boo the actions of Nightmare, but as they do out of nowhere Alex Brooks comes out of the crowd and leaps over the security barrier!

The fans cheer the unlikely hero as he slides into the ring and manages to shock the monster Nightmare by dropkicking the steel chair back into his face! The fans boo the big move from Alex Brooks as Nightmare rolls out of the ring looking enraged, as Alex Brooks stands in the ring staring back at him. With The Teacher and the referee both down, Alex Brooks challenges Nightmare to get into the ring, as the monster stands at the bottom of the entrance ramp with the steel chair in hand!

UNDER PRESSURE

The cameras cut backstage to show Nathan Paradine in his locker room dressed in his ring gear and trademark sunglasses, obviously deep in contemplation the decision he must make later in the evening; will he reveal the identity of the Masked Man to the world, or will he choose to sacrifice his job? He sighs and rests his head in his hands just as there is a knock on the door and it swings open without an invitation from Paradine. Matt Anderson steps into the room, accompanied by a pair of Company heavies.

Nathan Paradine: “What the hell do you want, Anderson?”

Matt Anderson: “You can’t possibly be taking that tone of voice with me, Nathan. Maybe you want to get fired right now, saving you from having to decide later in the evening?”

Paradine stands up scowling, starting at Anderson directly in the face.

Nathan Paradine: “When the time comes, I’ll make the right choice Anderson. You don’t have to worry about that.”

Matt Anderson: “Good. Now, I just want you to know how exactly the unmasking ceremony is going to go this evening… The Masked Man is already in the arena somewhere, so I’m assuming your friend Byrd has spoken to him and convinced him to go through with this for you.”

Paradine shakes his head, cursing his bad luck that the Masked Man had actually shown up at the arena.

Nathan Paradine: “You have all this planned out, don’t you?”

Matt Anderson: “Of course I do. I’ve been waiting for this moment for months; the unveiling of the Masked Man, the removal of the last obstacle to the Company. You, the Masked Man and I will be in the ring, and a few of my men will be keeping watch outside the ring. You will remove the mask and hand it to me, then you will be allowed to leave. Understand?”

Paradine nods slowly, while a smirk spreads across Anderson’s face. Paradine tenses up, resisting the urge to punch him.

Nathan Paradine: “I understand completely.”

Matt Anderson: “Good. See you out there, buddy!”

Anderson claps Paradine on the shoulder and signals for the two bodyguards to follow him out of the room. As soon as they are gone, Paradine slowly slides his sunglasses off his face and folds them up, his expression one of frustration as the scene cuts back to the ring.BACKSTAGE

ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE YEAR

As the fans pile back into the audience area and into their seats, “Money” by Pink Floyd plays. The fans jump their feet and look towards the stage to see who it is. Moments later after the music continues, the crowd see’s who it is and begins an array of boo’s. Howard ‘The Bank’ Thompson creeps out from the back curtain with his new found girlfriend, Serenity as they head towards the ramp way that leads to the ring.

Last week Howie was close to being married to Joseph Equinox’s ex-girlfriend, Serenity when they decided to tie the knot. That did not happen, though as Joey Q interrupted the engagement and the party, leaving Mr. Money Bags a step back in this whole entire ordeal. Tonight, he has shown up to the Goodfella’s arena once again, for an important announcement.

The pair make their way down the ramp way and onto the long black aisle carpet. From there they head to the ring and Howard hops up on the apron first. He kneels down on the rope and Serenity also jumps up to the apron before going through the ropes and into the squared circle. Thompson follows her. Just as she makes it in, she stands over in the corner and turns to ‘The Bank’ who signals for a microphone.

The mic is passed along from Serenity to Howie as he takes it and then shifts his arm outward before pushing it towards his lips. The fans make a lot of noise though as his music fades in the background, which throws him off to speak aloud. Seconds later and Howie rolls the long sleeve of his turquoise layered shirt in an upward position. He then puts his left hand in the air while talking.

Howard Thompson: “It has been about a week now… a week of nothing but torment and hell. Not only for you Joseph Equinox, but for me and Serenity as well.”

He tilts his body while taking a brief pause.

Howard Thompson: “That is why we have decided to stall the wedding.”

Howie looks out into the crowd, trying to make an announcement of sorts.

Howard Thompson: “And I’m sure that makes you very happy, Joey… but let me tell you something right now… We weren’t going to get married. We never were. In fact, this was all the plan and idea of The Company.”

The crowd boo’s loudly…

Howard Thompson: “It was a damn set up for you to get what was coming to you. You talk a big game, Equinox, or should I say… Equinos. For some time now you have been a thorn in there side, and looking back on how you treated me when I was in Toronto, my own home town and land, just to pay respects to my friends…”

The audience holds up signs about The Company, such things ‘The Company is evil’, ‘Don’t sell out, Howie’ and more!

Howard Thompson: “Serenity did what she had to do. She has no choice… you surely weren’t going to pay the bills or support her. Especially not with your losing ways… but you were always a loser, now weren’t ya?”

Thompson pauses, collects the rest of his thoughts and continues…

Howard Thompson: “I am out here right now to make an announcement. And that announcement is… that I am returning to the ring. I am coming back into the sVo and I am coming back to take my rightful spot on to-“

Before Howard could continue any further, “Talkin’ 2 Myself” by Eminem Ft. Kobe & Prod. by DJ Khalil hit’s the pa system. Interrupting Thompson is his former friend, ‘Simply A+’ Joseph Equinox. The fans cheer loudly while he steps out onto the stage and slowly makes his way down the ramp. His music fades in the background as he has a microphone of his own…

Joseph Equinox: “Howard… you want to make an announcement? What else is new? You’re probably going to tell the whole world about some sob story again. Kind of like that fail of a marriage you both had. And believe me… it would of failed, or… you would of had to answer TO ME!”

Big pop from the fans while Howie withers his hands at him, acting as if he is scared…

Joseph Equinox: “Now I can come down there and get what I started last week done, but I think we both know what that could lead to… therefore.”

He pauses, then continues…

Joseph Equinox: “Rather than being blind sided again by you and your damn cronies, I’ll say this…”

Joseph looks to the crowd, then smiles and looks back to the ring.

Joseph Equinox: “We can do this the easy way, or we can do this the hard way. It’s really your choice…”

Quickly, Thompson interrupts…

Howard Thompson: “There is no choices, Joey. YOU HAVE NO OPTIONS!”

Howie shouts aloud as the fans tear him up with boo’s. Joey Q holds up his hand in the air while he walks a bit closer to the ring apron…

Joseph Equinox: “No? Well let me tell you this… there is ALWAYS options, Howie. And I’ve already made some… Because this time oh say, in a couple weeks at Season’s Beatings… you are going to have to wrestle your first match back in the sVo… AGAINST ME! “

The Las Vegas, Nevada crowd is hot, Howie looks in disbelief as Equinox stands outside the ring with a smirk.

Joseph Equinox: “I’ve went ahead and talked to a certain someone from management…”

Howard Thompson: “Who was it?! Was it Beck?!”

Thompson seems furious, wondering who would do such a thing!

Joseph Equinox: “No Howie… it wasn’t. But to be frank… it doesn’t even matter, cause it’s legit and it’s unchangeable!”

Howard goes and kicks the rope as Serenity stands in the corner seemingly a little frightened.

Joseph Equinox: “You want to mess with me, and most of all… get MY girlfriend involved in this? Well then we will do this the man’s way… the only way we know how, and that’s WRESTLE! Because at Season’s Beatings Howie, I will be taking back Serenity… and I WILL lay a Season’s Beatings ON … YOU!!!”

Just then we see Joseph toss his mic into the ring at Thompson who side steps out of the way. Equinox music hit’s once again and he starts to back track up to the ramp way backwards. Howard looks to Serenity and shakes his head as she shrugs her shoulders. Joey Q smirks and smiles all the way out of the ringside area.BACKSTAGE

SHOW OF STRENGTH

Cody Williams and Nathan Paradine are seen walking down the hallway, Paradine with his hands clasped as he rotates them back and forth while Cody swings his arms in and out from his chest.

Nathan Paradine: And you better not kick me in my damn face again!

Williams shakes his head as he leads out an audible laugh.

Cody Williams: That wouldn’t have happened if you weren’t in the way. I’m telling you, its a textbook case of wrong place at the wrong time.

Nathan Paradine: Yeah well you better make sure that doesn’t happen again tonight, otherwise you’ll be picking your teeth up off of the floor.

Cody Williams: Alright, alright if you ins..

Cody and Paradine come to an abrupt halt and stand still, staring intently at what is in front of them. The camera slowly begins to pan out backwards to reveal that the sVo Las Vegas Champion James Von Drake and Karma Jones are standing there in front of them.

James Von Drake: Well, well, well. Look what we have here.

Karma Jones: Look at what the wind brought in.

Nathan Paradine and Cody Williams come face to face with their upcoming opponents James Von Drake and Karma Jones. The four of them engage in a staredown, Cody staring down Von Drake while Karma stares down Paradine. JVD readjusts the Las Vegas Championship on his shoulder and glances at it.

James Von Drake: If you think you’re coming after my Las Vegas title, think again. You’re going to have to earn that shot just like everyone else.

Cody Williams: I’m sure I have proven that I deserve a shot at your championship belt, and tonight I’m going to remind you and everyone else of exactly why!

James Von Drake: Oh really? Is that right?

Cody Williams: Yeah!

Karma Jones: Paradine you are nothing but a thorn in my side. That number one contendership is mine, and you know that!

Paradine: Wake up and smell the coffee sunshine! Do you hear the nonsense that is coming out of your mouth? It is like a case of verbal diarrhea! Do you honestly believe the words that are coming out of your mouth?

Karma Jones clenches his hand in a fist, James Von Drake flaring his nostrils. Cody and Paradine both lean forward and press their foreheads against their opponents, the four of them staring each other down. James Von Drake and Karma slowly ease off and begin to chuckle, taking several steps back.

Von Drake and Karma Jones take a few steps out of sight as Paradine and Williams keep them in their sight. The two of them shake their heads and begin to head down the hallway as if nothing happened. They only make it short of ten feet down the hallway when they both come crashing down to the concrete, landing with a sickening thud. Towering over them is Karma Jones with a steel folding chair and James Von Drake with his Las Vegas Championship folded up.

Karma Jones: My name’s not sunshine!!! Get it right!

Jones and JVD look down at their fallen foes. JVD wipes off the center plate of his championship belt and unfolds it, placing it back onto his shoulder, Karma tossing the metal folding chair off to the side. James Von Drake clutches his belt and smirks.

James Von Drake: See you in the ring, ladies!

Karma and JVD begin to make their way down the hallway in the opposite direction they were heading to begin with. Cody Williams and Nathan Paradine make an attempt to stand up onto their feet, clutching and grasping the back of their heads. Paradine gets up onto his knees and looks down at a fallen Cody who rolls onto his back, grabbing his head.BACKSTAGE

ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER AMBUSH

Backstage at Goodfellas Casino Arena, the Unlikely Hero, Alex Brooks stands with chair in hand pressed up against the wall of a corridor. Various crew members and reporters pass by him all looking at him with a great deal of confusion as he lays in wait.

Fresh out of his match with The Teacher, the masked Company ‘gun-for-hire’ known as Nightmare stalks past the waiting Brooks, clearly unhappy with the turn-of-events of the night. Brooks grits his teeth and with a roar lunges at Nightmare, swinging the chair wildly and connecting hard with the Japanese wrestler and sending him crashing back into the wall behind him. Brooks raises the chair high above his head once more as Nightmare holds out a hand to protect himself as he struggles to try to regain his footing.

Brooks: “I asked you last night if you would face me in the ring and you smashed my head into a concrete wall!”

He slams the chair down on Nightmare, connecting on the Company mercenary’s back.

Brooks: “I told you last night that you and the people you work for are not very nice…”

Again he slams the chair down on Nightmare who grunts loudly.

Brooks: “… and you just proved me right. You proved to me and everyone else that you’re a coward. You want to fight? Then fight me at Season’s Beatings in two weeks!”

He raises the chair to slam it down on Nightmare who helplessly grabs at Brooks’ legs, trying to climb back to his feet. Brooks looks down at Nightmare, preparing to slam the chair into him one last time but finally decides against it.

Brooks: “Well?”

Alex looks at Nightmare for an answer.

Brooks: “What do you say? Will you face me like a man in the ring?”

The masked man is silent, Brooks leans in close to him to try to draw a response from him and is caught off-guard as Nightmare throws a lightning fast throat strike at Brooks who immediately grabs at his windpipe before Nightmare doubles him over with a low-blow before standing and driving him down onto Brooks’ chair with a Rogue Driver!

Nightmare: “Nice try – but you shouldn’t have held back on that last chairshot… that is the mistake that cost you.”

He leans in close to Brooks before continuing.

Nightmare: “As far as Season’s Beatings go – no… I won’t face you… you’re a waste of my time. Next time be prepared to finish me off or don’t even bother trying.”

And with that Nightmare once again steps over Alex Brooks before making his exit and disappearing down the corridor.ADVERTISEMENT

sVo One Shot 2011
2nd January 2011
Many will enter, only one will survive

The lights get dim and a silence fills the arena. Smoke covers the stage as “Right Above It” cues over the PA system. Strobe lights begin to flicker as the song begins. As Karma is poised on the top turnbuckle the music fades out and the lights come on.

There are boos in the arena as ‘JVD’ flashes up on the giant screen and the arena is basked in a pink glow. “All My Life” by Foo Fighters blares out as James Von Drake walks out, with his wife Lucy Von Drake as always by his side. JVD signals to the crowd before walking down to the ring and sliding in. JVD holds his arms in the air, displaying his Las Vegas Championship in the middle of the ring as Lucy Von Drake stands outside the ring clapping on her husband. JVD retrieves a microphone from the ringside announcer and returns to the center of the ring.

James Von Drake: Nathan Paradine and Cody Williams will not be able to participate in tonight’s event.

BOO!!!

BOO!!!

BOO!!!

James Von Drake: But Karma and myself are here. So ref, why don’t you do your job? Ring the bell, count to ten, and declare Karma and I the victors!

JVD hands the microphone to the referee, shoving it into his chest. The referee hands it back to the ring announcer and stares at JVD blindly. JVD and Karma stare at him, questioning why he isn’t doing what he is told. Reluctantly, the referee signals for the timekeeper’s bell.

“Sorry, You’re Not A Winner” by Enter Shikari blasts around the arena as Nathan Paradine appears at the top of the ramp, he slowly begins to head down the rampway, clutching the back of his head as he points towards the ring at the two who did this to him. He stops halfway down the ramp and looks back up the aisleway.

“Head Like A Hole” (Clay Remix) by Nine Inch Nails blares through the arena’s sound system as Cody Williams slolwy but surely makes his way down the entrance ramp. He continuosly grabs at his head and neck. He and Paradine meet up at the bottom of the entrance and slide in at the same time.

JVD and Karma Jones immediately put the boots to Cody and Paradine, not even giving them the chance to collect themselves. Automatically they begin stomping and pummeling away at the heads of their opponents. JVD kicks Williams hard and sends him rolling to the outside. The referee begins to regulate and sends JVD to his respective corner.

Paradine charges for Von Drake who is standing in his corner but JVD sees him coming and hops down off of the apron. Jones comes running after Paradine and swings at him with a hard running lariat but Nathan Paradine ducks underneath it and retaliates with a stiff kick to the upper thigh of Jones. He comes back at him with a stiff muay thai like kick to the chest that sends Karma Jones into the ropes. Paradine grabs hold of Karma’s arm and irish whips him to the opposite side, Karma reverses the irish whip attempt and sends Paradine to the ropes instead. Paradine bounces off the ring ropes hard and comes flying at Jones with a flying clothesline that sends him crashing to the mat.

Nathan Paradine gets back onto his feet and looks down at the fallen Jones and turns his attention to JVD and attempts to hit him off of the apron, but to no avail. Paradine makes his way back to the center of the ring and kicks a kneeling Karma Jones in the chest with a stiff roundhouse. He immediately drops down and makes the cover attempt.

Cody rolls off of Karma Jones and the two of them begin to make their way back onto their feet. Cody grabs Karma by the head and delivers a hard European uppercut that sends him reeling into the corner. Cody grabs Karma by the arm and drags him to the center of the ring before sending him flying into the ropes. Karma telegraphing what was to come next reverses the attempt and Cody goes running instead. Cody bounces off of the ropes and Karma bends down for a back body drop attempt, Cody puts on the breaks and delivers a stiff kick to the chest of Jones that sends him stumbling backwards clutching his chest in agony. Cody Williams charges after him and it is Jones this time who lifts Cody up into the air and drops him throat first onto the top ring rope with a slingshot maneuver. The impact of the move causes Cody to tumble backwards, grabbing at his throat in pain.

Karma Jones grabs Cody, with a handful of his own hair and makes his way towards his corner. James Von Drake places his boot on the top turnbuckle as Karma Jones takes Cody’s head and drives it with force right into the awaiting boot of his partner JVD. JVD raises his hand in the air and Jones tags him in.

JVD almost immediately begins to put the boots to Cody Williams, forcing him to sit down against the ropes from the crushing blows. JVD continues to stomp away at the helpless Cody Williams as the referee pulls JVD away. JVD breaks free from the referee and begins to stomp at Cody once again. He places his foot on the throat of COdy and starts to apply pressure to the already injured head and neck area.

Paradine makes his way into the ring and JVD directs the referee’s attention towards him. The referee restrains Paradine from entering the match without a tag, on the otherside however Karma Jones is on the ring floor clutching at the neck of Cody Williams, delivering elbow after elbow to the chest of Williams. Paradine tries to tell the referee about what is going on, but the referee insists that he go back to his corner.

JVD starts to head towards Cody and grabs his legs, one in each arm. He takes a look out into the crowd and falls backwards towards the mat, slingshoting Cody throat first into the bottom rope. Paradine, back in his corner, tries to rally up the Goodfella’s Arena and starts to clap along with the crowd in attendance. JVD picks Cody up onto his feet and delivers a knee to the chest. He hoists him up for a back body drop but Cody shifts weight in mid air and reverses it into a pinning predicament.

JVD, however, has other things in mind and stomps away at the fallen Cody Williams, sending him towards his own corner instead. JVD picks Cody up and places him in a front headlock and walks him into the corner where he makes the tag to Karma Jones.

JVD grabs COdy’s arm and exposes his torso so that Karma can deliver a hard right hook to the rib cage of Cody Williams. Karma then proceeds to grab Cody by the hair and drives his head into the top turnbuckle. The impact drops Cody to the mat and right away Karma delivers several hard boots to the upper body of his fallen foe. Cody rolls over onto his knees and Karma picks him up and places his head in between his legs. Jones takes advantage of this time and drags Cody into his corner and he and JVD start to attack him. JVD strangles Cody with the corner rope and Jones repeatedly kicks him in the chest. Paradine finally exits the ring and JVD lets go of his hold.

JVD slaps Jones on the shoulder and tags himself in. Jones looks at JVD with confusion and JVD responds by shooing him out of the ring. Jones reluctantly exits onto the ring apron while JVD walks towards the center of the ring. Cody begins to make his way onto his feet and JVD rushes towards him and crushes him with a running clothesline. JVD tosses Cody down to the mat and makes the cover.

Somehow Cody manages to get his shoulder up off of the mat once again. Frustrated that he and Jones cannot put away Cody Williams, JVD drops a hard elbow onto a fallen Cody, followed by another, and another. He then proceeds to grab Cody by the leg and drags him out to the center of the ring. Cody starts to stand upand reaches out for a tag but JVD pulls him towards himself. Cody and JVD begin a tug of war of sorts that sees Cody on one foot hopping back and forth. Cody continues to reach out to Paradine for the tag but JVD is doing everything he can to prevent it. Seeing as he is so close to making the tag, Cody hits JVD with an enziguiri kick that makes a loud slapping sound, dropping JVD face first onto the mat. JVD gets his shoulder up again!

Nathan Paradine slowly makes his way back up onto his feet while James Von Drake tries to find a vertical base as well. Paradine grabs JVD by the hair but JVD breaks free and hits a hard forearm to the side of the face of Paradine. He then grabs Paradine by the head and throws him towards Cody Williams, the two of them colliding, sending him flying backwards off of the ring apron and crashing into the guardrail behind him.

Paradine looks down at ringside at his tag partner laying on the ringside floor, when he is suddenly spun around. JVD delivers a swift kick to the stomach of Nathan Paradine and puts his head in-between his legs. JVD wraps his arms around the waist of Nathan Paradine and lifts him up for a piledriver. Paradine begins to kick frantically trying to get out of it.

On the outside Karma Jones makes his way towards Cody Williams and picks him back up onto his feet. He grabs ahold of Cody’s hair and throws him back first into the steel guardrail. Karma then begins to stomp away at a fallen Cody Williams, picking apart at the man who defeated him last week.

Back inside the ring JVD looks to cinch in the cradle lock to perform his finishing maneuver the Dollar Drop! This one is over! The bell rings and Paradine rolls over onto his knees, staring at the Las Vegas champion who is lying there feeling the after affects of his patented maneuver. Karma Jones looks down at a fallen Cody Williams and smirks. He looks into the ring and his smirk immediately turns into his eyes growing wide. What he thought was the bell ringing from JVD making the pin after the Dollar Drop was instead signaling that Paradine and Williams had won the match.

Karma Jones makes his away around ringside and retrieves a metal folding chair and slides it into the ring. He slides in after it and grabs hold of it, awaiting Nathan Paradine to turn around. Paradine, unknowing, stands onto his feet and turns around.. Walking right into an unprotected steel chair shot to the head. Karma tosses the chair to the outside and picks Paradine up in a fireman’s carry position before delivering the REAPER’S REVENGE!!!

Jones stands in the middle of the ring with his arms raised high in the air, looking down at the ring canvas as he admires what he has just done. He wipes the sweat off of his forehead when he is suddenly bent over backwards. Cody Williams is behind him and has him in his grasps with an inverted facelock. Cody motions to the crowd and spins underneath Karma nailing him PERFEXECUTION!!!

Cody stands onto his feet and plays to the crowd, running to the nearest turnbuckle and raises his arms into the air. The crowd attempts to get his attention but he remains oblivious to the fact that JVD is standing in the middle of the ring waiting for him. Cody hops down from the turnbuckle and turns around while JVD lunges at him with his Las Vegas championship and nails him with it right on the crown of the head. JVD stands back up, breathing heavily while clutching his championship. He looks down at the fallen bodies inside the ring, before rolling to the outside. He slowly begins to make his way back up the ramp way as he holds his championship belt close to him, staring at the aftermath in the ring.OUTCOME:Nathan Paradine & Cody Williams defeats JVD & Karma Jones via pinfallBACKSTAGE

TEACH HIM A LESSONThe scene heads backstage to the office of Matt Anderson, where the Company man has been enjoying the action from tonight on the giant screen in the corner of the room, the same giant screen he intends on watching Beautiful Shame get taught a lesson by his Company boys later. However someone who is not in such a good mood is Ethan Rider, as the Mockingjay walks into the room without so much as knocking.

Ethan Rider: “I hear that you have booked a Tag Team title ladder match for the PPV, and me and Teacher are not involved at all! What the hell?”

Anderson stares at Ethan Rider for a few seconds before shrugging his shoulders.

Matt Anderson: “Why would I book him in a tag team title match? Don’t you remember a few weeks ago when he ran down and attacked the Company? Don’t forget where your loyalties lie Ethan….. that video could still find it’s way to the Police you know.”

Rider looks at the ground and shakes his head, whilst the Teacher may be his friend and tag team partner, he was bound to the Company by the threat that Anderson had hanging over his head.

Matt Anderson: “As a matter of fact, the Teacher kind of got away with things tonight when Alex Brooks got involved in Nightmare’s match against him earlier…. how about you take care of him for us?”

Rider looks at Anderson and nods his head.

Ethan Rider: “Alex Brooks? Yeah I will take care of that kid no problem….”

However Matt Anderson has other ideas as he slowly shakes his head with a smile on his face.

Matt Anderson: “I’m not talking about Brooks, i’m talking about the Teacher. I want you to take care of him… as a matter of fact, do it at Seasons Beatings to send a message out to everyone else….”

Anderson smirks as Ethan Rider looks up at the sky and shakes his head. As if being forced to be part of the Company wasn’t bad enough, he will now have to take on his tag team partner at the PPV in two weeks time!

KILL BEAUTIFUL SHAME

Colt Cooper and Ethan Rider both are walking up the halls to Matt Anderson’s locker room. Tobight this is a huge match for The Company. It wouldn’t have been right if he didn’t give Colt and Ethan the task to swipe the buffoon Beautiful Shame.

Colt::”Those guys don’t know what they have coming for them. This is a Company night.”

Ethan::”This is my night. We win this match and I’m defintley looked at as someone to look out for.”

Colt just smirks. This win that we’re getting would be delightful for that young man.

Colt::”I’m a bit surprised that you haven’t been pushing yourself more for a shot at the Tap Title. Last thing we need is Samuel Amos being Tap champion. We need that belt inside The Company.”

Ethan::”I might have to go ahead and take that belt from him in the near future.”

The duo continues on their walk to Matt Anderson’s office with complete silence just thinking on their match tonight. They don’t want to let this one slip because they know how much it means to Matt. Th new Company consist of better talent than the last. Colt and Ethan have to show them that.

They enter Matt Anderson’s office and take their seats as it’s time for them to listen and take in these wise words from their boss. Without saying anything they wait for him to turn around from his phone conversation. He’s taking a little minute, and Colt and Ethan are a bit irritated by it. Especially with their match a few minutes away. Matt turns around in his chair and faces his Company members ready to give them the rundown of what’s going to happen tonight.

Matt::”Tonight you both better beat the living hell out of Roscoe Shame and Bobby Dean. I don’t want those two little thorns walking around here thinking they’re better than The Company. I want them to know that they better not screw with me or that’s what will happen.”

Colt snickers. Matt’s face when he was telling them what he said kinda made him want to laugh.

Matt::”Finding something funny Colt?”

Colt looks around as if he wasn’t the one who laughed.

Colt::”Me…no…I was just laughing at the fact because we already know that we’re going to beat the living sperm out of Beautiful Shame. Those guys don’t have nothing on me and Ethan. We’re like so awesome when we’re teaming up. Evidence of last week.”

Ethan::”It’s not like we don’t know we can’t beat them. We know…and we will.”

Matt sits back in his chair folding his hands together.

Matt::”You both better do it then. I’ve done too much for you guys to lose this match. Do you want me to enlighten you both on what I’ve done for you?”

Colt::”We don’t need that lecture now do we?

Ethan::”Oh no…we don’t need that.”

Ethan laughs this time as Matt hasn’t done anything for him but be a thorn in his ass.

Matt::”It’s time…I don’t want to see you leaving that ring without a victory.”

Both Ethan and Colt stand from their chairs.

Colt::”We got you bossman.”

They exit the office and as they do Colt encounters with Chris Wrestling who was walking by.

Colt::”Look who we have here. A complete worm.”

Chris Wrestling steps in the face of Colt whose smirking at him like he’s a nobody. Which he is to him anyway.

Chris::”I don’t know who you think you are. But you want be flaunting around here with that title for much longer. It’s not going to be too long before Chris Wrestling is the International Champion.”

Colt::”Boy how foolish must you be? Last week me and Ethan made light work of you and Rey Rosario. You can’t take this title from me. Only thing you can take from me is some tips on how to be great.”

Ethan::”Colt…come on…our match is up.”

Ethan begins his way to the ring as Colt and Chris Wrestling continue their stare down.

Chris::”You’re lucky you have a match to attend to. I’ll be watching as you lose tonight.”

Chris Wrestling blows a little kiss at Colt and and continues his way down the hall.

Colt::”You watch then.”

Colt yells out to Chris. His face becomes serious as now it’s time to KILL BEAUTIFUL SHAME.
The lights dim out quickly and suddenly, and the cacophany of chatter from the audience falls to silence. The opening bars of ‘Forsaken’ by Skillet hits out over the PA System and a single jet of Golden pyro erupts from the stage, the light from it illuminating a lone, solitary, dark figure. Ethan Rider is dressed in a long trench coat and his usual ring trunks, black with a tint of metallic silver. ‘Rider’ is written in gold lettering on the cuffs of the coat and the right leg of the trunks. Ethan gives a small smirk and straightens up, the lights slightly returning so he is visible. He walks to the ring, only slightly acknowledging the audience with the occasional nod. When he reaches the ringside area, he stands still, staring at the ring as two officials come forward and carefully remove the coat, producing a series of wolf-whistles from the females as he exposes his well defined, ‘Sexy’ abdomen and pectoral. He bounces on the spot a bit, warming up for the match, before sliding into the ring, just after a single flash of golden pyro shoots just millimetres over his shoulder. Bouncing off the ropes and raising two fingers up in front of him, giving another small smirk as the lights return.

A few seconds later Roscoe Shame appears at the top of the ramp pretending to play the guitar, and the fans continue to boo the 6’6″ World heavyweight Champion from Kalamazoo, Michigan. The fans stand to their feet and boo at the mockery he is making of himself at the top of the entrance stage before he makes his way slowly down the entrance ramp his way to the ring. As Shame walks past pyro’s shoot up alongside him from either side of the ramp until he reaches the ring. Roscoe Shame slowly climbs into the ring soaking up the fans reaction, before posing on the nearest turnbuckle with his sVo World Heavyweight Championship belt.

“You’re the Best” begins to play as the lights go down and a baby blue spotlight is shown at the top of the entrance ramp. BBD comes out to a chorus of boos in his baby blue Ric Flair-esque robe that is covered in sparkling diamonds. He struts his way down the entrance ramp refusing to touch the out stretched hands of fans at ringside. Walking up the steel steps, he wipes his feet off before stepping into the ring. Walking over to his corner he proceeds to remove his robe and warm up for the upcoming match.

The anticipation for this main event clash between the Company and Beautiful Shame is at fever pitch with all four men in the ring ready to get things started. Both teams seem to be trying to figure out who will start the match off, as the referee hands the sVo World Heavyweight Championship and International Championship belts to the time keeper for safe keeping.

The referee calls for the bell to be rung, and Roscoe Shame and Colt Cooper look like they are ready to start this match off for their respective teams. Colt Cooper tries to crawl across to his corner to make the tag out, however Bobby Dean lands a big kick to the midsection, before finally allowing him up. THE MASKED MEN

“Real Solution #9” by White Zombie begins to blast over the sound system as Matt Anderson appears at the top of the ramp to a tide of boos from the crowd in the Goodfellas Casino. He laughs and indicates for a troop of Company suits to follow him down the ramp, ordering them to circle the ring while he climbs to steel stairs. He calls for a mic and his music dies down as he motions for silence.

Matt Anderson: “All of you, shut up! Tonight is going to be a monutmentous occasion in the history of the Company. In just a few moments we will remove the thorn in our side known as the Masked Man and take a step towards eliminating all opposition to our plans. So, without further ado, I’d like to invite down to the ring… Nathan Paradine!”

“Sorry You’re Not A Winner” by Enter Shikari begins to play, the familiar techno beat giving way to screeching guitar as Nathan Paradine emerges from backstage, slowly walking down the ramp. The camera focuses on various signs around the arena such as “Sellout” and “We Support the sVo”, before focusing on several male fans jeering at the Australian Submission Machine. Paradine climbs into the ring and stares down Anderson as his music dies away.

Matt Anderson: “Thank you for joining me here, Nathan. Now, if you’ll be so kind as to call down your masked friend and we can get this over and done with, alright?”

Paradine slowly nods and raises the mic to speak, however there is a sudden uproar from ringside. Several fans part as the Masked Man approaches the ring from the crowd, hopping over the guardrail and shouldering past the security before climbing up onto the ring. He walks to the center of the ring, looking at both Paradine and Anderson before holding out his hand for the mic with Anderson grudgingly obliging.

Masked Man: “You know, I have been here ever since the sVo first began in 2007. I watched men like Mike Polowy, Psyko Stevo, Jay Wildman and Kerry Milano pass through this company before its eventual downfall at the end of 2008. I sat and watched it rise again like a phoenix from the ashes, and I witnessed firsthand the destruction of everything that I helped build thanks to the Company.”

The Masked Man turns to face Anderson, jabbing him in the chest with his finger.

Masked Man: “You’re nothing more than a puppet, Anderson. You’re not even half the man I was, and that’s saying something. You people have destroyed my life and for too long I have stood by in the shadows. Not anymore! Regardless of what happens tonight, I will join the fight against the Company. I have been thinking long and hard about the discussion I had with this man Nathan Paradine on Showdown two weeks ago and I have decided to finally fight for something I believe in; the destruction of the Company. I will go along with whatever decision Nathan makes tonight, because I believe that he knows what he is doing.”

Anderson snatches the mic away in fury.

Matt Anderson: “Shut the hell up! You can’t even reveal your true identity to the world. Why is that? Is it shame? Is it Peter Gimour hiding behind that mask? Paradine, I’m going to give you two minutes to get that mask off before I fire you, understand!? Make your choice now!”

The Masked Man turns to face Paradine, daring him to remove the mask. Chants echoe around the arena, ranging from “take it off!” to “you are fired!”. Paradine’s hands twitch as he contemplates his decision…

Matt Anderson: “Do it! Do it now damn you!”

Paradine turns away from the Masked Man, his face twitching. Anderson raises the mic, his face beet red.

Matt Anderson: “Nathan Paradine, you’re fi-“

Before he can finish, Paradine spins around and grabs the Masked Man, attempting to tug the mask off his face. The crowd explodes, however before Paradine can remove the mask “Travel Now Journey Infinitely” by Trinacria begins to play on the sound system. Paradine turns around in shock, while the crowd greets the sudden appearance of Grimnir with cheers. Grimnir raises a microphone and speaks, his voice betraying no emotion.

Grimnir: “Come one now, what kind of a display is this? We’re all adults, yet we have Anderson screaming like a spoiled child, Paradine scrabbling like an old woman to get that mask off and the Masked Man himself just… well… “taking it like a bitch”, to use a certain expression.”

Grimnir walks down to the head of the ramp, shaking his head.

Grimnir: “Of course, every single fan in this arena knows that there is only one true masked man here in the sVo… myself, of course.”

Grimnir taps his own mask, before feigning a melodramatic sigh.

Grimnir: “However, if you’ve been paying attention to sVo programming recently, you would’ve noticed that I’ve grown a little tired of the masked act. It’s so very boring listening to people talk about how they think they know who you are; which is why I have a proposition for you, Anderson. Next week, live on Showdown… we have a mask versus mask match. Everybody wins that way, you see! Paradine keeps his job and the fans find out the identity of either myself or the Masked Man. Can you see the ratings!?”

Anderson raises his eyebrow, looking apprehensive.

Matt Anderson: “How do I know you’re not just doing this to try and get Paradine off the hook?”

Grimnir: “You should know that I have no love for either Paradine or the Masked Man. I seek only to entertain the men and woman who pay to attend our shows with a proper spectacle, instead of this… whatever the hell it is you have happening right now.”

Anderson ponders the decision for a moment, before eventually sighing and nodding his head.

Matt Anderson: “Fine. Next week… Grimnir versus the Masked Man, with the loser being forced to reveal their identity. But if this is some kind of double cross… well, trust me. You’d better start job-hunting.”

Grimnir nods, and turns to look at the Masked Man as ‘Real Solution #9″ begins to play. Matt Anderson exits the ring and walks back up the ramp with the Company agents in tow, while Grimnir simply turns and leaves the ring with little fanfare as the show comes to an end, leaving Paradine and the Masked Man standing in the ring wondering just what will happen next week.
