SHOWDOWN!

As the camera pans around the sold out arena, Pretty Vegas by INXS begins to blast out over the sound system as the sVo Showdown opening video rolls on the giant V-Tron! The crowd goes wild for the video, featuring action from top sVo stars such as Night, Isaac White, Roscoe Shame and Bobby Dean! As the video begins to come to an end, the cameras begin to pan around the crowd as the fans jump up and down trying to get seen on TV! The announcer’s welcome the fans watching on TV to the latest Showdown episode as the camera pick out various signs in the crowd! As the official sVo Showdown theme music begins to fade out, the attention of the fans turns towards the V-Tron on the top of the entrance stage as highlights of last weeks show play on the giant screen before tonight’s episode gets underway!

Nick Harris: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the latest addition of Showdown!

Simon Austin: And what a show we have lined up for you tonight!

Nick Harris: Indeed, we are here in Germany tonight as the sVo continues on its world tour, and tonight’s show is packed wall to wall with some of the top wrestling talent in the world! Not only will #1 contender Roscoe Shame take on his fellow Company member Isaac White in the main event, we have BBD defending his Las Vegas Championship and World Champion Night in action as well!

Simon Austin: How come Isaac White and Shame are taking each other on tonight seeing as they are supposed to be team mates?

Nick Harris: Well there has been rumours all week that the Company is literally imploding on its self due to the selfish actions of Bobby Dean in the last few weeks, is this the beginning of the end of the Company’s domination of the sVo?

Simon Austin: In my opinion Bobby Dean has done nothing wrong! He is double International and Las Vegas Champion because he is one of the top wrestlers in the sVo!

Nick Harris: Well I doubt his team mate Roscoe Shame would agree with that, but more about that later, coming up is our first match of the night, Tommy Conti against Ethan Rider!

Deadly Challenge

The scene begins on the outside of the Canadian Connection’s locker room where we see Xtreme Fusion knocking on the door. The door opens and we see Rey Rosario.

Rey: What the hell do you want?

Limp: Easy there, Rey. I came here to challenge you guys.

Rey: Another challenge? You guys don’t learn do you?

Limp: Not just another challenge but THE CHALLENGE.

Rey: What is it this time?

Limp: Tonight on Showdown Canadian Crippler faces me and you face Pat Fullam. Let’s do this if you guys lose both your matches you leave SVO.

Rey: What about you guys?

Limp: Well, if we lose all three of our matches then we will be the ones leaving SVO.

Rey: I like that deal because let’s face it our matches are both in the bag while poor Asesino has to fight the World Champion which nobody thinks he can win. DVD has Colt Cooper who is on the rise and you don’t stand a chance against Canadian Crippler. I accept your deal because there is nothing I would love more than to get rid of all three of you.

Limp: You made me a happy man, tonight we see the end of The Canadian Connection.

With that Limp laughs and leaves with the rest of his group as the scene fades out.

SINGLE MATCH
Ethan Rider vs. Tommy Conti

The lights dim out quickly and suddenly, and the cacophany of chatter from the audience falls to silence. The opening bars of ‘Forsaken’ by Skillet hits out over the PA System and a single jet of Golden pyro erupts from the stage, the light from it illuminating a lone, solitary, dark figure.

Ethan Rider is dressed in a long trench coat and his usual ring trunks, black with a tint of metallic silver. ‘Rider’ is written in gold lettering on the cuffs of the coat and the right leg of the trunks. Ethan gives a small smirk and straightens up, the lights slightly returning so he is visible. He walks to the ring, only slightly acknowledging the audience with the occasional nod. When he reaches the ringside area, he stands still, staring at the ring as two officials come forward and carefully remove the coat, producing a series of wof-whistles from the females as he exposes his well defined, ‘Sexy’ abdomen and pectoral. He bounces on the spot a bit, warming up for the match, before sliding into the ring, just after a single flash of golden pyro shoots just millimetres over his shoulder. Bouncing off the ropes and raising two fingers up in front of him, giving another small smirk as the lights return.

Nick Harris: Here is Ethan Rider, one of the newer stars in the sVo. He has had some impressive outings here so far. Has he got what it takes to break into that top level of sVo stars and start challenging for some belts?

Simon Austin: I don’t know if he has what it takes, but I would like to see a bit more of his sister around here!

Nick Harris: Well that goes without saying! Rider might be impressive, but he is going to be up against it against another impressive newcomer. Speaking of his opponent, here comes Tommy Conti now……

The sound of a bat banging against the ground echo’s  through the area, then laughter goes through the P.A system as the bat continues  to bang. Then out of no where Fire erupts from the ramp. Tommy Conti comes  walking out with a baseball bat over his shoulder. His has on a grey hat that is  bent on the seft side. He has a Grey suit on with black pants. Tommy has a big  smirk on his face and he stands there looking around at the crowd. As he does  Ride the Lightening by Metallica slowly fades in.

Tommy slowly  walks down to the ride with a grin of his face. Once he gets to the ring he  walks towards and up the steel steps to enter the ring. Tommy looks around once  more with his eyebrow eyes. He spits on the mat and lowers his bat. He looks at  the bat and smiles as the referee comes over and takes it away from him. Tommy  stares daggers at him but gets over it quickly as he slowly takes off his suit.  He drops it to the mat outside of the ring. He now only has on a white wife beater and his black pants. He cracks his  neck as he gets ready for the match.

Simon Austin:Now this guy looks impressive! Forget about Rider, I think that Conti is a man heading for the top here in the sVo! He has that ruthless streak needed to get to the top around here!

Nick Harris: That might be true. All I know is that this is one hell of an opening match here on Showdown! This could litarelly be PPV material right here, infact it wouldn’t suprise me if a few months down the line we see these two taking on each other in a PPV main event!

Simon Austin: That’s if Ethan Rider manages to survive the night, Conti looks in the mood to give him a beat down he will never forget!

The bell rings for the match to start and Ethan Rider and Tommy Conti run at each other and begin to trade big rights and lefts in the middle of the ring. Conti gets the upper hand of the fist fight and backs Ethan Rider into the corner of the ring. The referee calls for a break between the two men, and Conti pretends to back away, before springing forward and knocking Ethan Rider down to the mat with a big cheap shot.

Simon Austin: See what I mean, Conti just doesn’t care what the fans think about him, but he gets the job done!

Nick Harris: Well the fans are showing there displeasure with the underhanded tactics from Conti early on, the German fans very much in the corner of Ethan Rider here tonight!

The fans boo as Conti pulls Ethan Rider up to his feet and nails him with some chops across the chest. Ethan Rider staggers backwards, before Conti grabs him by the arm and throws him into the ropes. Rider bounces back and Conti nails him with a big bodyslam to take him down to the mat. Conti then rises to his feet and gives some stomps into the body of Ethan Rider, before taunting to the fans.

Nick Harris: Tommy Conti doesn’t need to get involved in an argument with the crowd if you ask me, he needs to keep his mind on the match!

Simon Austin: I don’t think Conti did ask you! Besides he can do what he wants, he is Tommy Conti for Christs sake! These fans need to show him a bit more respect!

Ethan Rider rises to his feet and grabs an unsuspecting Tommy Conti from behind, before nailing him with a few forearm smashes to the fans. Tommy Conti staggers backwards, before being taken down to the mat with a big ‘Greenzone’!

Nick Harris: What did I say? Big cheers from the crowd there for Ethan Rider, with that big mouthed Conti getting just what he deserved!

Simon Austin: What about the cheap shot from behind by Ethan Rider there? How about you call it how you see if tonight Harris? These fans should be ashamed of themselves for distracting Conti like that!

Nick Harris: These fans paid their money, they can do what they like! Conti, is on the back foot now!

Ethan Rider drags Conti to his feet and throws him hard into the corner of the ring. With Conti hitting the corner hard, Rider follows up with a big clothesline in the corner which gets a cheer from the fans. Conti staggers out of the corner and is then nailed with a big bulldog by Rider who makes the cover.

Nick Harris: Massive move from the impressive Rider right there, this one could be all over!

ONE….

TWO…

NO!

Simon Austin: Big kick out from Tommy Conti there! Don’t right him off just yet Harris! He will win this one yet, mark my words!

Ethan Rider looks disappointed as he pulls Conti up to his feet and then nails him with a textbook snap suplex. Ethan Rider then bounces into the ring ropes before nailing a big elbow drop onto his opponent. Rider slowly climbs up to his feet and taunts Conti to get back to his feet.

Simon Austin: I don’t think that’s a wise move from Ethan Rider to taunt Conti like that! It might make the beating even harder!

Nick Harris: Well right now Ethan Rider is looking as if he is in control of this one right now!

Conti slowly rises up to his feet, but as Ethan Rider aims a clothesline at him, Conti ducks under the arm of his opponent and nails a low blow onto Ethan Rider, before taking him down with a big DDT in the middle of the ring!

Nick Harris: How the hell did the referee miss that one?

Simon Austin: Miss what one? All I see was a great counter from Conti into the DDT!

Conti lays into Ethan Rider with some big mounted punches before pulling him up to his feet and nailing him with a stiff back breaker. The fans boo Conti, but he flips them off as he stalks Ethan Rider whilst taunting for his finishing move as he slowly begins to rise up to his feet.

Nick Harris: Total lack of respect by Conti to the people that pay his wages….

Simon Austin: Screw them, there all idiots if they boo a talent like Conti anyway. Your just bitter than Conti is going to pick up the win!

Nick Harris: If he hits the ‘Conti Beatdown’ finishing move right here, then it might indeed be game over for Ethan Rider tonight!

Ethan Rider slowly rises up to his feet, and Tommy Conti nails him with a kick to the midsection, before loading him onto his shoulders. Tommy Conti spins around to show off his strength before landing the ‘Conti Beatdown’ on Ethan Rider, bringing more boos from the crowd.

Simon Austin: Wow what a move! That’s the move that is going to take Conti to the top of the sVo!

Nick Harris: It certainly looks like its brought an end to this match!

Tommy Conti rolls over Ethan Rider, and makes the cover on his opponent.

ONE….

TWO…

THREE!!!

Simon Austin: Impressive victory by Conti, come on Harris admit it!

Nick Harris: Tommy Conti has picked up the win here tonight with a dominating display. What an opening match here on Showdown!

Simon Austin: The rest of the sVo should be worried about this guy if you ask me, and he is about to put the exclamation point on it right now!

Nick Harris: Now there is no need for this, he has the match won already! Some body do something about this!

Tommy Conti rolls out of the ring and grabs a steel chair from ringside, before tossing it back into the ring. The fans boo Conti as he rolls back into the ring and positions the chair in the middle of the ring. Conti then pulls Ethan Rider up against and positions him once again on his shoulders.

Simon Austin: You might have to forget about those dreams of seeing these two main event a PPV Harris, this could be the end of Rider’s career right here!

Nick Harris: I can’t believe that no one is out here to stop this. Where the hell is security?

Tommy Conti lands a massive ‘Conti Beatdown’ onto Ethan Rider, causing his head to bounce off of the steel chair. Conti then rises up to his feet and looks down at Rider with a disgusted look on his face, before making his way back up the entrance ramp with the boos from the fans ringing in his ears.

Simon Austin: Big performance from Tommy Conti right there! The boys in the back must be praying that Anderson doesn’t book them against him next week!

Nick Harris: Someone needs to get out here and provide Ethan Rider with some medical attention! The sound of his head hitting that steel chair was sickening!

RESULT: Tommy Conti def. Ethan Rider via pinfall

HOVA

Hanging around backstage was Colt Cooper. He’s out here to get a good look at some of the divas SvO are examining. One by the name of Daisy catches Colt’s eyes. As she walks by he gently grabs her by the arm turning her around.

“Where in the hell did bossman find you?” Colt says while examining her himself.

“I wasn’t found, I brung myself here, besides shouldn’t you be getting ready for a match against D.V.D?” Replies Daisy prying Colt’s grasp off of her arm.

“I was just about to get ready right now. Care to join?” Colt gestures showing off his “Star Studded” smile.

“Sure why not. So how are you going to get ready?” States Daisy.

“Like this.” Inputs Colt reaching behind his back revealing a bible.

“A bible?” Responds Daisy. Figuring Colt get’s ready by praying.

“Let’s bow our heads.” Colt mentions while grinning. He and Daisy both close their eyes before bowing.

“Right now we look up to the heavens asking god not to hold me back from dangling D.V.D. We ask that in his power he doesn’t denies myself my red carpet. In his name I shall be the one to prosper and be known as Hova to this D.V.D, but not just him, the entire SvO. In god we pray, but victory I seek, and after a few bruises, that victory you’ll see. Amen” Colt lifts his head up, still demonic smirk lingering on his face.

“Hova, Hova, Hova” Smartly remarks Daisy. The scene fades out to a shot of Colt’s face.

SINGLE MATCH
Colt Cooper vs. DVD

Nick Harris: Well whilst you were watching Colt Cooper backstage, we have thankfully had some medical attention out here to Ethan Rider, and he has been taken backstage on a strecher with a neck brace on. We wish his a speedy recovery and hopefully the injury he suffered at the hands of the vicious Tommy Conti are not too serious.

Simon Austin: Forget about Ethan Rider, who do I have to speak to in order to get that Daisy out here and ringside? Colt Cooper needs to hook me up, she is HOT!

Ladies and Gentlemen by Saliva hits the sound system and there are boos all around for Colt Cooper as his entrance video hits the sVo-Tron. After waiting a few seconds, Colt Cooper appears on the ramp with his normal cocky smile. He positions both of his arms out, tapping his chest taunting the crowd. A spectrum of black and blue strobe lights fill up the arena followed by a down pour of confetti. Colt struts his way to the ring extending his hands to some of his fans, and gives the middle finger to the fans of sVo who don’t like him.

Nick Harris: Speaking of Colt Cooper, here comes the man himself, and he has an impressive record so far in his short sVo career.

Simon Austin: Well just listen to that reaction from the fans! He is already a favourite with them!

Nick Harris: It’s going to be a tough match for him tonight against DVD who is a solid performer, but Colt Cooper is a superstar on the rise here in the sVo, no doubt about that!

Headstrong by Trapt plays as DVD comes out staring at his surroundings. He then slowly walks to the ring with an intense look on his face.

Nick Harris: Here comes DVD to the ring. He might not be as popular with the fans here as DVD, but he has shown what he is made of over the past few months in the sVo.

Simon Austin: DVD looks as if he is up for this one, Colt Cooper needs to focus on the match in hand if he is to overcome this obstacle here tonight.

The bell rings for the match to begin, and DVD and Colt Cooper circle each other in the middle of the ring, before trying up. Both men try and push each other backwards in a test of strength before DVD spins Colt Cooper into a wrist lock. DVD then proceeds to grabs Colt Cooper in a side head lock.

Nick Harris: Good move from DVD there, he is obviously looking to wear down Colt Cooper and show some dominance early on in this match.

Simon Austin: DVD is one man I would not want grabbing me in a headlock, you might never get back out!

Colt Cooper manages to free himself with some back elbows to the side of DVD’s head, but as Colt Cooper bounces into the ropes and runs back at DVD, DVD takes him down with a massive clothesline. With Colt Cooper down on the floor, DVD nails him with some stomps on the canvas, before taking him back down to the mat with a belly to back suplex as he gets back to his feet.

Nick Harris: Textbook suplex there from DVD, this guy has all of the technical attributes to make it to the top here in the sVo.

Simon Austin: Shame about his name…. Maybe he should rebrand himself as Blueray!

Nick Harris: What’s his name got to do with his technical ability? Colt Cooper is certainly feeling the pain from DVD’s offence right now!

Colt Cooper staggers back to his feet holding his back in pain, and DVD nails him with some stiff chops across the chest which back him into the corner of the ring. With Colt Cooper backed in the corner of the ring, DVD lays into him with some big shoulder barges into the midsection, before pulling him away from the ropes and taking him down to the mat with a spinebuster.

Nick Harris: Colt Cooper looks in trouble here, it could be the former Tag Team Champion DVD walking out with the win here.

Simon Austin: If DVD continues to put in performances like this, then he and Limp could be the people to take the title belts off of Night and Pat Fullam!

Nick Harris: Well Limp is not in action here tonight, but they have got to have as a good a chance of any of wrestling those belts away from Fullam and Night, who won them last week in a huge match up!

DVD pulls Colt Cooper up to his feet, but as he tries to slam him face first into the turnbuckle, Colt Cooper grabs the ropes and blocks the move. The fans cheer as Colt Cooper nails a elbow to the midsection of DVD before slamming him face first into the turnbuckle. DVD staggers backwards holding his face in pain, and Colt Cooper takes him down to the mat with a big Russian legsweep takedown.

Nick Harris: Big move from Colt Cooper there to get back into the match when it looked like everything was going DVD’s way!

Simon Austin: DVD might have to get his face put back together after that move!

Colt Cooper grabs hold of DVD as he rises to his feet and whips him into the ropes. DVD bounces back and gets speared down to the mat by Colt Cooper, who then begins to lay into DVD with some big mounted punches.

Simon Austin: I think DVD’s moves have just made Colt Cooper angry! He is kicking his ass right now!

Nick Harris: Colt Cooper certainly seems to have swung the match back into his balance. DVD needs to get back into this match before it’s too late for him!

Colt Cooper rises to his feet and gets a big cheer from the crowd as he struts around the ring, whilst waiting for DVD to get to his feet. DVD finally staggers up, and Colt Cooper nails him with a spinning neckbreaker before making the cover on his opponent.

Nick Harris: Big move from Colt Cooper right there, and this one looks like it is going to be all over!!

ONE…

TWO…

NO!

Simon Austin: Don’t write off DVD just yet Harris, he still might win this one after all!

Nick Harris: DVD showing just how much he wants to win this one, I thought it was all over after that neckbreaker from Colt Cooper!

Colt Cooper looks stunned at not getting the three as he rises up to his feet and shakes his head. Colt Cooper makes his way over to DVD and pulls him to his feet, but DVD surprises his opponent with some big punches into the stomach, followed up with a jawbreaker to take Colt Cooper down to the mat.

Simon Austin: See what I mean! DVD is still in this one, I am putting my money right now on him to win this one!

Nick Harris: Where on earth is DVD pulling this from, he looked down and out only a minute ago! Colt Cooper is on the back foot now!

Colt Cooper staggers up, and is nailed with some big right hands to the side of the head from DVD which send him staggering backwards, before DVD sends him down to the mat with a big arm drag takedown. Colt Cooper staggers back up to his feet, and DVD nails him with a standing dropkick which sends him back down to the mat! As Colt Cooper tries to pull himself back up to his feet, DVD taunts for his finishing move!

Nick Harris: Big turn around here in this match, and if DVD hits his DVD cutter, then its lights out for Colt Cooper!

Simon Austin: What did I tell you! DVD is going to pick up the win here!

DVD tries to grab Colt Cooper for the DVD Cutter, but Colt Cooper counters by pushing DVD forward into the ropes. DVD bounces back into the middle of the ring, and Colt Cooper takes down DVD with a ‘Colt of Conduct’ to the face!

Nick Harris: What a counter by Colt Cooper, that one came out of no where and the fans are on their feet after that one!

Simon Austin: I called it all along, Colt Cooper is going to pick up the win here! Quick get my bookie on the phone!

Nick Harris: I think the bookmakers will have stopped taking bets after that huge Colt of Conduct from Colt Cooper, and here goes Cooper with the cover….

Colt Cooper rolls DVD up and the fans count out loud along with the referee.

ONE…

TWO…

THREE!

Nick Harris: It’s all over, and thanks to the huge counter from Colt Cooper, he walks away with yet another big win to add to his growing record of victories here in the sVo!

Simon Austin: Massive win by Colt Cooper against an experience pro in DVD here tonight.

Nick Harris: No doubt about that. Colt Cooper came up short a few weeks ago in his quest for the Las Vegas Championship belt, but if he turns out victories like that every week then it won’t be long until this young man has gold around his waist here in the sVo!

Simon Austin: Well if he really wanted to make an impact, he would beat down DVD just like Conti beat down Ethan Rider earlier in the night!

Nick Harris: I am sure Colt Cooper has more class than that, and that is why the fans love him already.

Colt Cooper has his hand raised in the air by the referee as the crowd cheer his victory. Colt Cooper jumps to the turnbuckle and celebrates with the crowd, before making his way backstage.

RESULT: Colt Cooper def. DVD via pinfall

An Offer You Can’t Refuse

Backstage at the Volkswagen Arena in Wolfsburg, Germany. An executive office has been converted into Company HQ for the night. Matt Anderson, the only known face of the mysterious and looming Company puffs on a cigar as he looks over various papers scattered across the desk. A knock on the door interrupts him and he barely looks up as he responds.

Matt Anderson: “What?”

The door creaks open and a nervous looking Company representative, identifiable by his dark grey designer suit, black aviator sunglasses and earpiece, enters uncertainly. Anderson glares at him with a great deal of impatience.

Matt Anderson: “What is it Wilkins? I’m very busy at the moment.”

Wilkins: “Sorry, sir. Y-you told me to let you know if M-M-Miyamoto arrived and well… he’s waiting outside, sir.”

This gets Anderson’s attention. He clenches his jaw, his face becoming focused.

Matt Anderson: “Send him in.”

Voice: “Hey, you can’t go in there yet.”

No sooner has Anderson said to send him in, the masked figure known to the sVo universe as ‘Nightmare’ – sVo World Champion Night’s older brother – strides into the room, dressed in an all-black suit with his dark grey mask, almost identical to his brother’s, easily shaking off another Company representative who was trying to bar his entry.

Matt Anderson: “I thought you Japanese were a polite and patient bunch. We were just about to send you in…”

Nightmare: “I got sick of waiting. I’ve been waiting for this call since my brother robbed me of victory when I challenged for MY title. Finally you’ve come to your senses and are going to give me another chance to unseat Night. You realised Shame, BBD, White, ANYONE you could throw at him wouldn’t get the job done. You even tried to scoop up JVD as soon as he stepped in the door because he lucked into a a title shot.”

Nightmare smugly grins as he slouches into a plush leather armchair.

Nightmare: “Face it, you’re desperate. You need me.”

Mr Anderson smiles grimly at the gloating masked man.

Matt Anderson: “You’ve misread our intentions I’m afraid, Ryuu. But you’re right, we need you.”

The grin vanishes from Nightmare’s face and he instead scowls at Anderson who continues unfazed.

Matt Anderson: “We have thrown everything we could at Night to try to dethrone him. Even our rather elaborate plot surrounding you blew up in our faces and left your brother still standing with the World Title intact. There’s in-fighting in our team and we need an insurance policy to make sure that this time we are successful in removing the title from Night’s waist. With the World Title on Roscoe Shame, The Company will hold all three singles titles – it’s only a matter of time until Beautiful Shame reclaim the Tag-Team Titles. We will have our domination.”

Nightmare is clearly unimpressed and stares wordlessly at Anderson.

Nightmare: “So what do you need me for then?”

Matt Anderson: “We want you to be the insurance policy.”

Nightmare: “What do you have in mind?”

Matt Anderson: “We were thinking you might be an appropriate referee for a no-disqualification match between Roscoe and Night.”

A sinister grin creeps onto the corners of Nightmare’s mouth although he attempts to restrain himself slightly. It is not lost on Anderson who smirks with satisfaction seeing the seeds of interest planted.

Nightmare: “What does Roscoe think of all this? He might be a simpleton but he doesn’t strike me as the type of guy who’d necessarily be into this kind of a deal…”

Matt Anderson: “He’s a Company man. He’ll go along with us.”

Nightmare: “Well, I’d be lying if it didn’t sound like fun. But I’d be there to look after your interests… more importantly, what’s in it for me?”

Matt Anderson: “I have quite a deal for you, something I’m sure you’ll love…”

Nightmare leans forward in his seat, listening attentively.

Matt Anderson: “… if you do this for us, and Night loses the sVo World Championship to Roscoe Shame at Battle of Britain – we will reward you with any kind of match you choose, at any time you choose, against your brother. He will be forced to accept and forced to compete.”

Unable to restrain himself any longer, Nightmare grins broadly and menacingly, practically salivating at the offer.

Nightmare: “I think that can be arranged.”

Anderson smiles and the two shake hands as we cut back to ringside.

SINGLE MATCH
Limp vs. Crippler

Nick Harris: What the hell? Nightmare is back in the sVo and is ready to screw his brother out of the World title at Battle of Britain?

Simon Austin: No one said anything about screwing anyone over. Anderson just knows that the main event at the PPV is going to need a strong referee after all the interference over the last few months, who stronger than Nightmare!

Nick Harris: Give me a break! Nightmare is jelous that his brother is such a success here in the sVo, and has already shown he will do anything it takes to try and get that World title off of his waist! Roscoe Shame is good enough to be in the main event and fighting for the World title, he doesn’t need the Company in his corner fixing things his way!

Simon Austin: You’ve just got a vendetta against the Company! What is it Harris, Anderson refuse to sign an autograph for you when you were younger?

Nick Harris: Give me a break. The sVo has gone downhill ever since the Company took over around here. The sooner they are thrown out of here and we get back to what the sVo is all about the better!

Simon Austin: The Company pay your wages Harris, don’t you forget that!

Headstrong by Trapt plays as Limp comes out staring at his surroundings. He then slowly walks to the ring with an intense look on his face.

Nick Harris: Well we just saw his tag team partner in action against Colt Cooper, now how will Limp fare as he takes on Crippler in tonight’s match up which is next?

Simon Austin: All I know is that I would do whatever it takes to get the match won early if I had to take on Crippler, that guy literately gets off on breaking bones and ending careers!

Nick Harris: Well Limp is a very experienced professional here in the sVo, and will be looking to pick up the victory and progress his singles career as well as his tag team career here in the sVo tonight.

Last Resort plays as Canadian Crippler comes out completely focused on the ring. He enters the ring and awaits the bell.

Nick Harris: Well here is Crippler, and he has a determined look on his face.

Simon Austin: That only spells trouble for Limp!

The bell rings for the match to get underway, and Limp and Crippler face off against each other in the middle of the ring. Crippler dives forward to try and grab hold of Limp, but Limp dives away from Crippler and nails him with a big double axe handle to the back of the head, before taking him down to the mat with an arm drag takedown.

Nick Harris: Good strategy there from Limp, stay out of reach of Crippler and hit him on the break!

Simon Austin: You can only stay out of reach of Crippler for so long, sooner or later he is going to get his hands on you and try and break your arm!

Crippler struggles back up to his feet and runs at Limp, but Limp sidesteps his opponent and sends him into the ropes. Crippler bounces into the ropes, before being taken down with a drop toe hold as he bounces back. With Crippler down on the mat, Limp drops an elbow across the back of Crippler’s neck.

Nick Harris: That has got to hurt. Limp trying to wear down his opponent right now.

Simon Austin: You ask me he has to get some big moves in early and go for the cover!

Nick Harris: But with Crippler the master of turning big moves into submission holds, I think Limp is trying to wear him down before going for the kill!

Crippler staggers back up to his feet, and Limp nails him with some big right hands to send him into the corner of the ring. Crippler swings a right at Limp, but Limp ducks out of the way of the the right hand and tries to take down his opponent with a big suplex! However Crippler counters the suplex with a snap suplex of his own!

Nick Harris: There goes Crippler with the counter, and with Limp on the mat and Crippler standing over him, the former Tag Team Champion might by in trouble here!

Crippler stomps away on Limp before locking in a knee bar submission hold. Limp shouts out in pain as he tries desperately to get to the ring ropes. However Crippler keeps the move locked in as Limp shakes his head as the referee asks him if he would like to submit.

Nick Harris: Limp is really showing some guts here in not tapping out. If this was a lesser man then this one might be over already!

Simon Austin: Well DVD has already lost tonight, Limp wants to make sure that his tag team don’t leave Germany as complete losers!

Limp finally makes it to the ropes, and Crippler is forced to release the submission hold. Limp pulls himself up to his feet, but Crippler goes straight back onto work on the knee of his opponent with a chop block to take him down, before stomping away on the knee joint.

Nick Harris: It looks as if Crippler is trying to take care of Limp by taking out his leg!

Simon Austin: Someone is going to have to get a wheelchair out here for Limp at the end of the match at this rate!

Nick Harris: Well if Crippler keeps this up then it looks as if he is going to be walking away with the win tonight!

Limp staggers back up to his feet and Crippler grabs him from behind in a waist lock. Crippler takes down Limp with a big German suplex, before keeping his hands locked around the waist of his opponent and repeating the move!

Nick Harris: Some textbook German suplexes there from Crippler to take Limp down to the mat there, and it looks as if he is going to put the exclamation point on the match right now by heading to the top rope!

Simon Austin: These fans don’t sound too impressed with Crippler’s decision to head to the top rope, what the hell is wrong with these people here in Germany?

Crippler climbs to the top rope and looks down at Limp who is laying motionless on the mat. The fans continue to boo Crippler as he leaps from the top rope looking for a flying headbutt from the top rope, but Limp rolls out of the way causing Crippler to hit the mat hard!

Nick Harris: Big misfire there from Crippler!

Simon Austin: That has got to hurt!!

Nick Harris: Limp has a big chance to change the momentum of the match into his favour and pick up the win after Crippler’s ill advised trip to the top rope! If you ask me he should have continued to work on the submissions and made Limp tap out!

Simon Austin: No one did ask you Harris! When did you ever step foot in the ring anyway?

Limp slowly stumbles up to his feet, and makes his way over to Crippler. Limp lays into Crippler with some big stomps to the back of his head, before pulling him up to his feet. Limp pulls Crippler up into the air and then slams him back down to the mat with a big brainbuster!

Nick Harris: Limp just dropped Crippler on his head right there, and this has got to be game over after that one!

Simon Austin: It all went downhill for Crippler as soon as he went to the top rope, when will he learn?

Limp rolls over Crippler and hooks the leg to make the cover.

ONE…

TWO…

THREE!!

Nick Harris: This one is all over, and despite DVD losing earlier in the night, Limp picks up the win in his single match against Crippler here tonight!

Simon Austin: Crippler is going to need some aspirin after that brainbuster! He could have a headache for the next month!

Limp celebrates his win as he makes his way back up the entrance ramp and to the backstage area.

Nick Harris: Well that was a massive win for Limp here tonight which might kick start his own singles career in the sVo. But next after the break we have the man who has a target on his back, the sVo World Champion Night in actions against Asesino!

Simon Austin: I wouldn’t fancy Asesino’s chances in that one, he might regret throwing out that challenge last week!

RESULT: Limp def. Crippler via pinfall

Answering the Call

Backstage we find none-ther than sVo reporter extraordinaire Tamara Boyd standing in-front of a black sVo backdrop. Dressed in her usual professional type attire and carrying a microphone in her right hand she looks both unusual and yet familiar with the two characters beside her, an elderly Japanese man in a snappy white Mandarin-styled suit and a younger Japanese man in a black mask and purple and black wrestling tights, the sVo World Heavyweight Championship slung confidently over his left shoulder, the sVo Tag-Team Championship over the right. They are of course, veteran wrestling trainer Akira Kimura and his protege Night.

Tamara Boyd: “I’m standing here with sVo World AND Tag-Team Champion, Night…”

Akira Kimura: “What did I tell you?”

Master Kimura laughs triumphantly, beaming a broad smile as he playfully slaps the Tag-Team Championship on Night’s shoulder. The old man’s good mood is clearly infectious as Night grins broadly and Tamara also lets a smile creep onto her usually professional visage.

Tamara Boyd: “You certainly did, Mr Kimura. Anyway, I am here with Night who tonight answers the challenge of Xtreme Fusion’s Asesino. Asesino is looking to make a splash here and has issued a challenge to any sVo champion past or present to face him one-on-one. Night, how are you feeling heading into the ring tonight?”

Night: “I’m feeling confident Tamara. True, Asesino is a promising talent looking for a win tonight propel him up the rankings – but it’s like I told you earlier in the week, Tamara, I’m not here tonight to serve as a stepping stone to anyone. I’m the sVo World Champion. I face whoever is put in front of me with the same intensity and the same seriousness. I’ve seen guys like him before, the ‘promising newcomer looking to make a splash’ is no new concept in professional wrestling – not criticizing his situation, in fact, I can relate. As the World Champion you have a virtual target on your back at all times, at one point every guy looking to make an impact will come after you. Some’ll surprise you and some might even get one past you – but, I’ve had a good run these past few months and I don’t plan on letting that end here tonight.”

Tamara Boyd: “Any words for your opponent?”

Night: “The old saying comes to mind ‘Be careful what you wish for, you might just get it’ – Aesino says he wants some real competition and that’s exactly what he’ll find when he steps into the ring with me. I just hope he hasn’t underestimated me, the guy promised to cripple me but he’s sitting around eating candy and playing X-Box while I’m in the gym perfecting my craft… seems like a strange approach to match preparation to me but to each their own I guess.”

Night smirks as Master Kimura nudges him in the ribs and gives him a stern look.

Tamara Boyd: “Are you concerned that your brother’s presence in the arena tonight will have any effect either direct or indirect on the outcome of the match at all?”

Akira Kimura: “I don’t think so, but you never know with Ryuu. I don’t feel that tonight is a big enough stage to attempt to extract his revenge.”

Tamara Boyd: “But you do expect some sort of repercussion from him at some point?”

Akira Kimura: “I’m afraid that much is inevitable.”

Night: “My brother can hold a grudge over nothing for years…”

Night and Kimura both look rather grim as they discuss Night’s Company turned brother, Nightmare. Kimura is distracted by a generic cellphone ringtone. He digs around through his pockets finally fishing the phone from his pocket and looking at the caller display.

Akira Kimura: “Excuse me a moment please, Miss Boyd, I have to take this call.”

Kimura ducks off to the side as Tamara turns to Night.

Tamara Boyd: “Any word on why your brother is in the arena tonight?”

Night: “We haven’t heard anything yet.”

Master Kimura returns, his face grey and rigid with restraint.

Akira Kimura: “Excuse us please, Miss Boyd. This interview is over.”

The old man bows apologetically to Tamara who looks surprised but nods back to him. Kimura grabs Night by the arm and urgently drags him off the set and into the corridors. The camera remains focused on Tamara who looks after the two departing men before looking back towards the cameraman and nodding – the camera bobs as if nodding back before the operator, camera in hand begins jogging after Akira and Night. It does not long to find them, they had not gone far – the camera remains at a distance, unseen.

Night: “He’s already met with them?”

Kimura nods, his expression still grim.

Night: “Well? What do they want from him?”

Akira Kimura: “They want him to referee your match with Roscoe Shame – and they want it to be a no-disqualification match…”

Night leans back against the corridor wall.

Night: “That… is very bad.”

Akira Kimura: “That’s an understatement, Akumu. This is a near impossible situation.”

Night perks up as he looks hopefully at his mentor.

Night: “NEAR impossible?”

Akira Kimura: “… I may have a few tricks left up my sleeve. This does make this extremely difficult though.”

Night: “What did they offer him this time?”

Kimura sighs.

Akira Kimura: “You.”

Night watches the old man silently, uneasy.

Akira Kimura: “If he goes through with this and if you lose the title to Roscoe Shame you will be forced to face Ryuu in a match of his choice at a time and place of his choice.”

Again Night is silent and for a few moments both men stand perfectly motionless, Night with his head hung and Kimura deep in thought, his arms folded over his chest. Finally, Night snaps, lashing out and punching the opposite wall.

Night: “So what do we do now?”

Akira Kimura: “Now? Now you go and beat Asesino – lets just see how this all plays out and I’ll start making preparations for the worst-case scenario.”

Night nods solemnly before turning and vanishing down the corridor as we cut back to ringside.

SINGLE MATCH
Night vs. Asesino

Boos begin to ring out around the arena as the entrance ramp lights up and Headstrong by Trapt hits the sound system. On the sVo-Tron highlights of Asesino’s sVo greatest moments play as Asesino slowly makes his way out from the backstage area and down the entrance ramp. Asesino stares out the crowd as he walks, before rolling into the ring. Asesino walks around the ring looking out at those in the crowd who are booing him, before jumping up onto the second rope of the nearest turnbuckle and taunting to the fans by throwing them an ironic kiss.

Nick Harris: Well here comes Asesino, who has a tough match on his hands here tonight against the current sVo World and Tag Team Champion Night!

Simon Austin: Well Night has plenty on his mind with a big match against Roscoe Shame coming up at the Battle of Britain, as well as the on going situation with his brother Nightmare and the Company, maybe Asesino will be able to pull off the upset here tonight?

Nick Harris: Well Asesino threw out that open challenge last week to do just that, will he be able to pick up the win and show everyone in the sVo that he is infact being overlooked?

A whisper…

“I’m dreaming…”

The distant chords of Deftones’ “Knife Party” cut through the PA as the arena lights cut completely. The Tron sparks to life as the words “I’m dreaming…” float onto it. As the song errupts the words are replaced by one.

A name.

” N I G H T “

An explosion of purple light as a man in a black mask appears. At least, the mask appears black at first, but on closer inspection it appears to be made of the night sky. The mask does not entirely cover the man’s head and a head of black dreadlocks stream out, tracing the man’s jaw. The sVo World Title is strapped firmly around Night’s waist, one of the sVo Tag-Team Titles slung over his left shoulder.

The crowd erupt as Night pauses for a moment at the top of the ramp, soaking it all in. Night moves quickly and deliberately towards the ring, slapping hands with fans on his way. Reaching the ring he slides under the bottom rope before rolling to his feet and raising a fist to the crowd to another huge cheer.

Nick Harris: Big cheer from the fans for Night, and the World Champion looks ready for battle here tonight!

Simon Austin: Enjoy calling him World Champion whilst you can Harris, come Battle of Britain it’s going to be Roscoe Shame with his hands on that belt!

Nick Harris: Well the Company seem to be doing everything in their power to make sure that happens, but Night has overcome every obstacle so far in the sVo!

The referee calls for the bell to be rung, and Asesino quickly runs at Night and begins to lay into the World Champion with some big right hands. The fans boo Asesino as he grabs Night by the arm and sends him into the corner of the ring. With Night hitting the corner hard, Asesino follows up with a big splash in the corner.

Nick Harris: Well Asesino looking to get in the early offence in this one and dominate the match. Simon Austin: Good idea if you ask me, if Night gets going with his offence then it could be game over for Asesino, but if Asesino stops him before he even gets started then he might shock everyone tonight!

Night staggers out of the corner, and Asesino nails him with a clothesline to take him down to the mat. Night staggers back to his feet, before Asesino quickly scoop slams him and then bounces into the ropes before dropping a big elbow across the World Champion. The fans boo Asesino, but he seems to ignore him as he lays into Night with some big punches.

Simon Austin: Asesino is impressing me so far, and Roscoe Shame must be enjoying watching this!

Nick Harris: Well it’s only a few weeks before Roscoe Shame gets a shot at the World Champion, and the winner is going to have to be at the top of their game to come out with the belt in London England!

Asesino pulls Night up and shoots him into the ropes, however as he bounces back Night nails a jumping calf kick to the face of Asesino to send him down. The fans cheer the move from the World Champion as Asesino rises back up to his feet, and Night nails him with a spinning heel kick which sends him into the corner of the ring.

Nick Harris: The fans getting behind Night in this one, the man from Japan has got to be one of the biggest and most popular World Champions we have ever had here.

Simon Austin: Well with the likes of Mike Polowy, Psyko Stevo and the late great Alex Ross holding the belt before him, he certainly has a lot to live up to!

Nick Harris: Well Night is the longest reigning Champion in sVo history, and he is showing just why right now!

Night nails Asesino with some hard elbow smashes in the corner of the ring, before pulling him out of the corner. Night tosses Asesino down to the mat with a big Sandman DDT!

Nick Harris: The fans are on their feet after the Sandman DDT from Night, and this one could be all over already after that one!

Simon Austin: That move has put many a sVo star to sleep before, Asesino looks in trouble here!

Night rolls over Asesino and makes the cover on his opponent, and the fans chant along with the referee as he drops down to make the cover.

ONE…

TWOOOOO….

KICKOUT!

Simon Austin: I didn’t see that kickout coming there, I thought that Night had the match won after than one!

Nick Harris: Asesino showing just what he is made of right there. He knows that a victory over Night would shoot him up the rankings here in the sVo!

Simon Austin: Everyone in the sVo wants a shot at Night, he is the man at the top of the mountain, the man to beat at the moment!

Night pulls Asesino up to his feet and whips him into the ropes, but as Night tries to hit a dropkick on Asesino, Asesino knocks away Night with a swipe of his arm! The fans boo the counter from Asesino, who grabs Night and hits him with a big side slam.

Nick Harris: Asesino is trying to fight his way back into the match right here!

Simon Austin: Well a few more moves like that then we might have an upset on our hands!

Asesino hammers Night with big right hands as he gets back to his feet, and then sends him into the ropes. Night bounces back into the middle of the ring and Asesino takes him down with a massive boot to the face. With Night down, Asesino lands a big splash onto his opponent before making the cover.

ONE…

TWO…

NO!

Nick Harris: Night kicks out in the nick of time to the delight of all the fans here!

Simon Austin: We were only a second away from a massive upset there Harris!

Asesino can’t believe that he didn’t get the pin fall as he rises up to his feet and grabs hold of the referee. The crowd boo as Asesino complains that the referee gave him a slow count right there by backing him into the corner of the ring.

Nick Harris: The fans obviously don’t agree with Asesino’s assessment that the referee gave a slow count right there!

Simon Austin: It’s a screw job! The referee is another man trying to hold back Asesino here!

Nick Harris: What the hell is Asesino doing complaining to the referee? Night is down and Asesino has the perfect chance to take advantage, but he is wasting time right here!

As Asesino continues to complain, he doesn’t seem to notice as Night rises up to his feet behind his back. Asesino finally turns around and runs at Night, but Night takes him down with a big belly to back suplex! The fans pop for the big move from Night, as Asesino struggles to get back to his feet.

Nick Harris: Huge move from the World Champion, and Asesino might regret not taking advantage of Night being down only seconds earlier!

Simon Austin: Asesino might still win it, don’t write him off just yet!

Night grabs hold of Asesino as he rises up to his feet, and sends him down to the mat with a massive ‘The Dreaming’! The fans continue to cheer as Night makes the cover!

Simon Austin: No! Come on Asesino kick out! You can do it!

Nick Harris: Huge move from the World Champion right there! There doesn’t look like there is anyway back for Asesino after that!

ONE….

TWO…

THREE!

Nick Harris: It’s all over!

Simon Austin: NO!

Nick Harris: It’s the World Champion Night who shows just why he is at the top of the mountain right now, with another win here on Showdown!

Simon Austin: I thought Asesino was going to do it right then!

Nick Harris: Well you would love it if Night lost here tonight wouldn’t you. Just what have you got against our World Champion?

Simon Austin: Night is going against the Company, and he should just remember that they saved the sVo from extinction!

Nick Harris: Well the Company might just get what’s coming to them if they go against Night once again and try and screw him out of the World Championship again at Battle of Britain. But speaking of Championships, we have a massive match up next, as the sVo Las Vegas Champion Bobby Dean defends his title against Grimnir!!

RESULT: Night def. Asesino via pinfall

sVo LAS VEGAS CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
BBD vs. Grimnir

The dull tones pick up speed as the haunting voice of a woman sings. As the voice reaches full pitch, the arena’s houselights washes out the arena in light before returning to normal, leaving Grimnir standing at the entrance. He starts to slowly walk down as the hammering drums and energy filled riffs grind through to his very last step. He stands at the front of the ring, points up the sky with both hands, slides into the ring and then kneels, looking as if he were praying. He stays there for a moment and then springs up to his feet, ready for action.

Nick Harris: Well here comes the challenger, and its a man that has made a big impact since joining the sVo only a month or so ago!

Simon Austin: Grimnir has shown potential, but there is no way that he is going to beat Bobby Dean tonight! He is the Las Vegas and International title belts….. He is the best around Harris!

Nick Harris: Well I am not sure Roscoe Shame would agree with you after he cost him the Tag Team title belts a few weeks ago.

Simon Austin: Well maybe Roscoe Shame should have pulled his weight in that match a bit more Harris!

Nick Harris: You can’t be serious!

Simon Austin: Here comes the Champion now Harris!

“You’re the Best” begins to play as the lights go down and a baby blue spotlight is shown at the top of the entrance ramp. BBD comes out to a chorus of boos in his baby blue Ric Flair-esque robe that is covered in sparkling diamonds. He struts his way down the entrance ramp refusing to touch the out stretched hands of fans at ringside. Walking up the steel steps, he wipes his feet off before stepping into the ring. Walking over to his corner he proceeds to remove his robe and warm up for the upcoming match.

Nick Harris: The Las Vegas Championship belt is on the line in tonight’s match, and this one might steal the show folks!

Simon Austin: Any match with BBD in it usually does steal the show Harris!

The referee holds the sVo Las Vegas Championship belt in the air to signal that it will be on the line in tonight match! The crowd look to be buzzing for this one as the bell rings and this one gets underway! Bobby Dean meets Grimnir in the middle of the ring with some big right hands, before Grimnir fights back with a big huricanrana on the Champion. Bobby Dean rises back up to his feet after the big move, but Grimnir nails him with a jumping axe kick to send him back down to the mat.

Nick Harris: Impressive counter from Grimnir right there, and Bobby Dean is on the back foot now after an impressive start!

Simon Austin: It’s only a glitch, Bobby Dean will be back in control in a second, just you watch! I would bet my house on him winning this one tonight!

Nick Harris: Will Grimnir has a bright future in the sVo, It wouldn’t surprise me one bit if he became the new Las Vegas Champion tonight!

BBD rises back up to his feet and Grimnir lays into him with some big axe handle shots to the back of his head, but BBD manages to counter with an elbow to the back of Grimnir’s head. Grimnir staggers away and Dean follows up with a big clothesline to take him down to the mat. Grimnir slowly staggers up, but BBD grabs him in a sleeper hold and begins to wear down his opponent.

Simon Austin: Good move from Bobby Dean right there!

Nick Harris: Indeed it is, the sleeper hold is a classic wrestling move designed to wear down your opponent, and Bobby Dean is doing just that on Grimnir right now.

Bobby Dean finally sends Grimnir down to the mat with a sleeper slam. The crowd boo the move form BBD, who struts around the ring, before making his way back to Grimnir and nailing him with a punch to the face as he rises back up to his feet. Grimnir holds his face in pain, as Bobby Dean scoops him up and sends him back down to the mat with a tilt-a-whirl slam. With Grimnir down on the mat, Bobby Dean lays into him with some big mounted punches.

Simon Austin: What the hell are these fans booing about!

Nick Harris: Well they don’t like Bobby Dean, and who can blame them!

Simon Austin: How could you say such a thing Harris! He’s the best around!

Nick Harris: Well the sVo fans certainly don’t think so! I for one was not impressed with him leaving his Tag Team partner behind and allowing Night and Fullam to win the title by going against Shame one on one! They were supposed to be partners, what chance to Shame have with odds like that?

The crowd continue to boo the cocky International and Las Vegas Champion as he rises up to his feet and taunts Grimnir to get up. Bobby Dean then grabs hold of his masked opponent and pulls him to his feet, before sending him into the ropes. Grimnir bounces into the ropes, but as Bobby Dean aims a clothesline at him, Grimnir ducks under the arm of Dean and continues into the opposite ropes. Grimnir bounces back into the middle of the ring, and lands a big cross body onto Bobby Dean to send him down to the mat!

Nick Harris: Big move from Grimnir right there, that is why he is in Las Vegas title picture already!

Simon Austin: Don’t worry, Bobby Dean will bounces back from that move, mark my words!

Bobby Dean slowly rises up to his feet, but Grimnir is there with some punches and kicks, before backing Bobby Dean into the corner. Grimnir nails Dean with some big knees in the corner of the ring before sending him back down to the mat with a spinning DDT out of the corner!

Nick Harris: What a move from Grimnir right there, and this one could be over!

The fans cheer for the big move from the challenger as he rolls across Bobby Dean to make the cover.

Simon Austin: Come on Bobby, kick out!!

ONE….

TWO….

NO!

Simon Austin: BIG KICKOUT FROM BOBBY DEAN!

Nick Harris: I thought that we had a new Las Vegas Champion right there, but Bobby Dean got his shoulders up just in time!

Simon Austin: Bobby was just playing, he could have kicked out at any time!

Bobby Dean manages to get a shoulder up off of the mat before the three can be counted by the referee! The fans in the arena are disappointed by the kickout as Grimnir pulls Bobby Dean back up to his feet and nails him with some stiff chops across the chest. Grimnir nails Bobby Dean with a knee to the midsection, before jumping up to the second rope and back flipping back onto Bobby Dean!

Nick Harris: What a move from Grimnir right there!

Simon Austin: Don’t worry, Bobby Dean will turn this around, just you wait!

Bobby Dean slowly rises up to his feet following the painful high flying move from Grimnir, and as he does Grimnir makes his way towards the Champion. Grimnir grabs hold of Dean by the hair, but as he does Bobby Dean lands a big low blow on Grimnir out of sight of the referee!

Nick Harris: Blatant cheating there from BBD!

Simon Austin: You got to do what it takes in this business Harris!

Nick Harris: BBD should be ashamed of himself!

Simon Austin: Why, because he is one of the most dominating champions around here?

The fans boo the low blow from Bobby Dean, who rolls Grimnir up with a small package!

ONE….

TWO….

NO!

Simon Austin: What?? That was a slow count there from the referee!

Nick Harris: Looked fine to me, and it was a big kick out from Grimnir who has his sights on gold here tonight!

Grimnir manages to get a shoulder off of the mat before the count of three!

The fans cheer the kickout from the challenger, and Bobby Dean doesn’t look too impressed with the reaction from the fans as he pulls Grimnir up to his feet. Bobby Dean lands a knee to the face of Grimnir, causing him to staggers backwards. Dean then bounces off of the ropes and runs at Grimnir looking for a clothesline, but as he does Grimnir ducks out of the way and Bobby Dean acciedently wipes out the referee with the clothesline!

Nick Harris: Down goes the referee!

Simon Austin: That has got to hurt, but Grimnir can’t get a three count with no referee. BBD doesn’t have to win, he just has to make sure he doesn’t lose!

Bobby Dean staggers back in horror at taking out the referee, and Grimnir takes advantage with a big dropkick which send both men down to the mat.

Nick Harris: Wait a minute, what the hell is this??

Simon Austin: It’s Roscoe Shame! Here comes the Company, this spells bad news for Grimnir!

Nick Harris: This is disgusting, if BBD is the Champion, then he should be good tonight to do it on his own!

The fans in the arena suddenly start to give a mixed reaction, as Roscoe Shame slowly walks out down the entrance ramp! Bobby Dean and Grimnir both slowly begin to rise to their feet in the ring, as Roscoe Shame makes his way around to the corner of the ring, and grabs hold of the Las Vegas Championship belt that is laying at ringside. Roscoe Shame slides into the ring and runs at Grimnir looking to wipe him out with the title belt, but as he does Grimnir ducks out of the way and Roscoe Shame takes out his partner Bobby Dean!

Simon Austin: NO!!! Roscoe what are you doing?

Nick Harris: Did he do that be accident, or was that payback for the other week? Was that payback for BBD taking Roscoe’s International title and costing him the Tag titles?

Simon Austin: Quick Anderson get out here! Do something!

There is a cheer from crowd for Grimnir who knocks Roscoe Shame out of the ring with a dropkick to his back, as he makes his way to the corner of the ring and begins to climb the turnbuckle!

Nick Harris: It could be all over for Bobby Dean’s run with the Las Vegas Championship right here!

Simon Austin: This is a screw job, Grimnir cheated!

Nick Harris: Grimnir never asked Roscoe Shame to get involved, if you want to blame anyone, blame the Company!

The fans are on their feet as Grimnir leaps from the top rope and lands the flying elbow from the top rope on BBD, before going for the cover as the groggy referee crawls across to make the count!

ONE…

TWO….

THREE!

Nick Harris: NEW CHAMPION! NEW CHAMPION!

Simon Austin: NO!

Nick Harris: Grimnir is the new Las Vegas Champion!

Simon Austin: Bobby Dean was screwed, quick someone get out here and sort this out!

Grimnir slides out of the ring and falls on his knees, slowly rocking back and forth. The ref grabs the Las Vegas Title and hands it over to Grimnir who snatches it out of the ref’s hands and stares at it as if it isn’t real. After a few seconds, he walks over to the timekeeper’s table and starts talking to the titles as if they are people. He can be heard saying, “Say goodbye to your brother, we will see him soon enough.” As Grimnir turns to leave, he spots BBD standing up to his feet slowly, his back turned towards Grimnir. Grimnir slides into the ring and smashes the back of BBD’s head, toppling him to the mat. Grimnir gets on his hands and knees near BBD’s ear and dangles the title next to him, squealing to the top of his lungs, “This is my pretty prize! MINE!” Grimnir rolls out of the ring, clutching onto the Las Vegas Title like his own little child while looking over his shoulder every once in a while.

Nick Harris: The fans are certainly happy with the new Champion here tonight on Showdown!

Simon Austin: These fans are idiots, I thought we already established that!

Nick Harris: These fans know exactly what they like, and they like seeing Grimnir hold that Championship belt above his head right now! Just what does this mean for the already delicate friendship between BBD and Roscoe Shame now?

Simon Austin: I think there is going to be hell to pay for Roscoe Shame!

RESULT: Grimnir def. BBD via pinfall

SINGLE MATCH
Pat Fullam vs. Rey Rosario

Nick Harris: This match has pain written all over it! Rosario facing off against the monster Pat Fullam!

Simon Austin: Pat Fullam is riding high off of his tag team title success. He is someone I would do anything not to have to face in the ring!

Nick Harris: Well Rosario is no slouch! He is a former Las Vegas Champion, and has a great chance to walk out of here tonight as the victor!

AS Showdown returns from a commercial break, Rey Rosario is already in the ring and awaiting the arrival of his opponent here tonight.  The arena goes black and the tron flickers on. In icy blue writing the words,

Lo as I walk through the valley of shadow and death
I fear no evil…
For I am the biggest and baddest guy around.

“Rebirth of Slick (Cool Like Dat)” by Digable Planets starts to play over the sound system. The writing on the tron fades away as blue sparks flare out on the stage. As the sparks die down the one and only “The Coolness” Pat Fullam comes out on stage. The tron flickers to life once again with clips of all of the 7’2″ giant’s time in the ring throughout the various federations he’s been in.

Nick Harris: What an impressive sight Fullam is! He literately towers over everyone else here in the sVo!

Simon Austin: A future World Champion here in the sVo, I have no doubt about that!

He tosses up the metal head salute as he begins to walk down to the ring to the beat of “Rebirth of Slick.” Making it to the ring he reaches up and grabs the top rope, pulling himself up onto the apron and stepping over the top rope. He swaggers to the center of the ring and tosses his hair back before giving one final metal head salute as the music fades.

Nick Harris: Rosario doesn’t look intimidated by the giant here tonight.

Simon Austin: Well he is more stupid than he looks then!

Rey Rosario faces off against the giant Pat Fullam, as the referee calls for the bell to be rung and this one gets underway! Fullam makes his way towards Rosario, and the former Las Vegas Champion lays into him with some big right hands, however they don’t seem to have much impact on the giant as he sends down Rey Rosario with a big punch of his own!

Nick Harris: That has got to hurt! That was heard all over Germany!

Simon Austin: It sounded like a bomb going off right there!

Rosario rises back up to his feet, but Fullam scoops him up with one hand before tossing him back down to the mat with ease. With Rosario down on the mat, Fullam bounces into the ropes before dropping a giant leg across the chest of his opponent! Fullam rises up to his feet with a confident look on his face, as Rosario struggles back up to his feet using the ropes for support.

Simon Austin: Stay down Rosario!

Nick Harris: Rosario showing what he is all about right now! This kid has guts, and he wants to chop down the giant and score the win!

Fullam runs at Rosario looking for a big boot to his opponent, but Rosario somehow manages to duck out of the way of the on rushing Tag Team Champion! Fullam turns around in suprise, and Rosario bounces into the ropes before knocking Fullam down with a big chop block.

Nick Harris: Clever move from Rosario there to take away the legs of the big man and bring him down to his size!

Simon Austin: Rosario needs to take advantage of that quickly before Fullam can recover!

Nick Harris: A win tonight would surely throw Rosario straight back into the title hunt after his career stalling since losing the Las Vegas title belt to Bobby Dean!

Will Fullam down on the mat, Rosario begins to go to work on the big man by stomping away on his legs before Fullam fights his way back up to a standing position. Fullam throws a big right hand in the direction of Rosario, but Rosario ducks under the arm and then nails Fullam with a big standing dropkick to send Fullam down!

Nick Harris: Rosario is really impressing here tonight. We could have an upset on our hands!

Simon Austin: He needs to go for the pin before Fullam can recover! The last thing he needs is an angry giant after him!

Rosario tries to get the fans on his side, as he walks around the ring before stomping away on Fullam who is still grounded. Rosario bounces into the ropes and lands a big elbow drop on Fullam, before going for a cover on the Tag Team Champion.

Nick Harris: Big elbow drop there, and this one could be over!!!

ONE…

TWO….

NO!

Pat Fullam gets a shoulder up before the three can be counted!

Simon Austin: Pat Fullam kicking out just in time, and Rosario might live to regret not getting the three there!

Rosario looks distraught that he didn’t manage to get the three count right there, as Fullam begins to rise up to his feet. Rosario grabs Fullam in a arm bar submission hold, and tries to force him down to the mat, but Fullam shakes off his opponent with a big slap to the chest of his opponent!

Nick Harris: Another massive slap to the chest of Rosario! That could have ripped the skin right off of Rosario’s chest!

Simon Austin: That hurt just listening to it!

Pat Fullam stands dominant in the middle of the ring as Rey Rosario struggles back up to a standing position. Pat Fullam taunts to the crowd, before grabbing Rosario around the throat!

Simon Austin: Oh no, this spells trouble for Rosario!

Nick Harris: That giant hand around the throat of Fullam only means one thing….. Crippling Cool for Rey Rosario!

Fullam lifts Rosario up into the air, before sending him down to the mat with the ‘Crippling Cool’! The fans cheer for the big move as Rosario is drilled down into the mat with authority, as Fullam makes the cover on his opponent!

Planning Payback

The scene heads backstage where Victory Cup winner James Von Drake is watching the action on a monitor with his wife Lucy Von Drake. JVD has his right arm in a sling and seems to have a cast on his hand, whilst interviewer Tamara Boyd makes her way over to the pair.

Tamara Boyd: ‘JVD, the fans of the SVO were surprised to see you earlier today with your arm in a sling, can you shed any light on your mystery injury?’

JVD shakes his head as he pushes his injured arm towards the face of the pretty interviewer.

James Von Drake: ‘It’s pretty obvious isn’t it Tamara? I injured my arm in the World title match against Night, and it has been costing me ever since!’

Tamara Boyd: ‘Really, you don’t seem to have been showing any signs of the industry since then….’

JVD looks as if he is about to snap as he snatches the mic out of Tamara Boyd’s hands with his good arm.

James Von Drake: ‘Are you stupid? Do you really think I would be losing matches if I was 100% fit. I am here on this world tour for one reason and one reason only, I am going to find out who that mystery man was that interferad in my World title match, and I am going to make them pay!!’

JVD tosses Boyd’s mic away as the scene heads back to ringside.

SINGLE MATCH
Roscoe Shame vs. Isaac White

Nick Harris: JVD didn’t seem injured when he LOST the other week on Showdown…..

Simon Austin: Are you stupid as well Harris? He just said he was?

Nick Harris: And he isn’t just making excuses because he is a sore loser?

Simon Austin: Of course not, he is JVD! I would hate to be in the position of the masked man when he catches up with him! Who do you think it is Harris?

Nick Harris: I have no idea, but there have been strange things happening around here for the past few months, it seriously wouldn’t shock me anymore whoever it was?

Simon Austin: Sorry what was that? I was just thinking how good Lucy Von Drake was looking tonight, JVD is one lucky SOB!

Nick Harris: Be that as it may, we have a HUGE main event up next, with Roscoe Shame the #1 contender for the World title taking on former International Champion Isaac White!

Simon Austin: This one promises to be massive!

“Rebirth” by Lil Wayne hits and Roscoe Shame appears at the top of the ramp pretending to play the guitar. The fans stand and cheer at the mockery he is making of himself. He makes his way to the ring while pyros shoot out from the ramp. He climbs into the ring stretches and awaits his opponent.

Nick Harris: Roscoe Shame is the man who has the chance to become only the fifth man in the history of the sVo to hold the World Championship belt, can he overcome Night at Battle of Britain and win the big one?

Simon Austin: I think he will do it, but tonight is another matter, he has got to face the veteran Isaac White! This man knows every way to win a match in the wrestling business, this might be the toughest match Roscoe Shame ever has to face in his career!

STAMP!

CLAP!

STAMP!

CLAP!

STAMP!

CLAP!

The audience stomp their feet and clap their hands in rhythm with the introduction of “God’s Gonna Cut You Down” by Johnny Cash. The melancholic chords of an acoustic guitar reverberate throughout the arena, soon joined by the baritone vocals of Cash.

You can run on for a long time
Run on for a long time
Run on for a long time
Sooner or later God’ll cut you down
Sooner or later God’ll cut you down

The entrance curtains slowly part as the hunched figure of Isaac White emerges. Although he may be far from a traditional ‘fan favourite’, the spectators instantly begin to cheer for him in recognition of his lengthy career. Despite the energy of the crowd, still stamping and clapping enthusiastically, Isaac retains a distinctively passive demeanour. Though it should have quite the opposite effect, the sight of this miserable and pessimistic man only further fuels the crowd’s excitement as they continue to join in with the downbeat rhythm of “God’s Gonna Cut You Down”.

Go tell that long tongue liar
Go and tell that midnight rider
Tell the rambler, the gambler, the back biter
Tell ’em that God’s gonna cut ’em down
Tell ’em that God’s gonna cut ’em down

White marches forth towards the ring, hat pulled down low and cane in hand. He ignores the two-faced liars and rats in the crowd, his nose crinkling at the stench of hypocrisy. He taps his cane on the steel steps three times before slowly ascending them. He then walks onto the ring apron, wiping his feet as he does so, before climbing in through the ropes.

Once in the ring, “God’s Gonna Cut You Down” begins to fade. White removes his hat and places it on top of the turnbuckle post. He then stoops over and leans through the ropes to prop his cane against the stairs. Resuming his stance in the corner, he reaches inside his left knee pad, withdrawing his trademark black gloves. He proceeds to pull them onto each hand slowly, milking the crowd’s excitement for all they’re worth. White leans back against the ropes, maintaining an apathetic approach to things

Nick Harris: An impressive entrance from Isaac White, has he got what it takes to beat Roscoe Shame here tonight?

Simon Austin: These guys are Company team mates, they know each others moves inside out, this is going to be an interesting one for sure!

Nick Harris: Just why are they facing each other here tonight if they are such great team mates?

Simon Austin: Don’t question Anderson and the Company Harris, they know what they are doing!

The two Company members face off against in the middle of the ring as bell rings for the match to get underway! Shame and White trash talk each other before White nails Shame with a slap across the face. Roscoe Shame fires back with some big right hands on White, before taking him down with a jumping double knee to the face.

Nick Harris: Big move from Shame right there, he knows that he has to double think every move he makes, because Isaac White knows every counter in the book!

Simon Austin: Either of these men would make better World Champions than that douche Night!

Isaac White tries to stumble back up to his feet, but as he does Roscoe Shame nails him with a kick to the midsection. The fans give a mixed reaction to the #1 contender for the World Championship as he pulls Isaac White up and nails him with a side slam to take him back down to the mat with authority!

Nick Harris: That’s got to rattle the old bones of Isaac White!

Simon Austin: Isaac White is one of the legends of the sVo, don’t count him out yet!

Roscoe Shame looks in dominant mood as he nails him big right hands to the face of Isaac White to send him into the corner of the ring. With Isaac White in the corner and struggling, Roscoe Shame continues to offence with some big shoulder blocks into the midsection of the veteran White. Isaac White stumbles out of the corner, and Roscoe Shame takes him down with a belly to belly suplex before going for the cover.

Nick Harris: This one could be over right here folks!

ONE…

TWO….

NO!

Simon Austin: Don’t count out White yet Harris! He is biding his time and waiting for the chance to strike! Don’t forget that Roscoe Shame is still technically a rookie compared to Isaac White!

Nick Harris: One of the most successful rookies in the history of the sVo, and his match against Night at Battle of Britain could be one of the best main events in sVo history!

The fans are surprised that Isaac White managed to get a shoulder up off of the mat, as the former International Champion tries to get back up to a standing position. Roscoe Shame doesn’t look impressed with the kickout, as he runs at White and takes him down with a big DDT.

Nick Harris: Roscoe Shame is showing just why he earned a shot at Night here tonight!

Simon Austin: He will be the new Champion Harris, you can bet your house on that one!

Nick Harris: Well if Nightmare really is the special guest referee, then the odds are stacked heavily in his favour!

Roscoe Shame stares down at Isaac White as he struggles to get to his feet, before grabbing him by the back of the head and slamming him face first into the turnbuckle! Isaac White staggers backwards holding his face in pain, before Roscoe Shame kicks him in the midsection!

Nick Harris: It looks like Roscoe Shame has had enough, and is looking to put an end to this one right here!

With Isaac White doubled over, Roscoe Shame steps over him and sets him up for his finishing move.

Simon Austin: Here comes the Shame time!

Nick Harris: NO! Big counter from White!

However Isaac White counters with a big backdrop on Roscoe Shame that sends the #1 contender over the top rope and out of the ring! Roscoe Shame lays on the floor outside as in the ring Isaac White tries to recover from the offence from Roscoe Shame.

Nick Harris: That could have caused a serious injury to Roscoe Shame there, he fell heavily out of the ring to the unforgiving floor!

Simon Austin: Just another reason why you shouldn’t try this at home kids!

Roscoe Shame finally rises to his feet and rolls back into the ring, but as he does Isaac White takes advantage with some stomps to the back of Roscoe Shame’s head. Roscoe Shame struggles to get to his feet, and as he does Isaac White nails him with a big German suplex. Roscoe Shame struggles to his feet holding his back in pain, but an arm drag later and he is back on the mat.

Nick Harris: Isaac White showing his experience here. Roscoe Shame could be in trouble.

Simon Austin: Don’t forget that Isaac White is a former International Champion as well! Its a tragedy he has never been World Champion yet!

Isaac White stands over his opponent, before raising his hands in the air! There are boos all around as Isaac White pulls Roscoe Shame up, before drilling him down to the mat with the ‘Hate Crime’! Roscoe Shame hits the mat hard, and Isaac White quickly makes the cover!

Nick Harris: Hate Crime from Isaac White, and this looks like a victory for the Veteran!

ONE…

TWO….

THREE!

Simon Austin: What did I tell you! Isaac White picks up the three count!

This one is all over, and its Isaac White who scores the victory over his Company team mate Roscoe Shame!

Nick Harris: Just what does this mean for the future of the Company? Roscoe Shame, Isaac White and Bobby Dean all have their problems with each other, will they ever be on the same page again?

Simon Austin: There getting all their bad blood out in in open now. As soon as Roscoe Shame wins the World Championship then everything will return to normality!

Isaac White holds his hands in the air in victory as sVo Showdown heads off of the air for another week!

Nick Harris: Well be that as it may, Battle of Britain is only weeks away! For us here in Germany and Showdown, goodnight!
