sVo Showdown
17th February 2008
Goodfellas Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada
Episode #016

DEMANDING RESPECT

*The fans are on their feet and the entire Goodfellas Casino seems to be rocked to it’s foundation as cheers erupt and pyro after pyro shoot off, signifying that Showdown #16 is underway. “Woke Up This Mornin” by A3 immediately hits the PA and the cheers quickly turn into a very mixed reaction as the co-owner of the sVo himself, Jimmy Moretti makes his way to the ring. Moretti pays little attention to the fans as he steps in between the second and top rope, a grin on his face and a mic in his hand. As soon as the reaction dies down a bit, Jimmy begins to talk.*

Moretti: Thank you, each and every one of you for coming out here tonight!

*The fans cheer and Moretti smiles a broad smile.*

Moretti: Tonight you are all in for a very special treat, we’ve got Brock Alyas and Peter Gilmour taking on Night and *cringes* Howie Banks. We have El Gimicko, Spinning Heeled Jack and the seemingly unstoppable Kelly Flawless competing in triple threat action. You’ll see Joey Peyton, Christian Heights and Alonzo Calais… Rex Fury, Ascaron and even Archangel will be stepping into the ring. Yes, tonight will be a night to remember here in the sVo.

*Moretti stops speaking as the fans in attendance are in a state of confusion. As the cameras pan around we see signs supporting Mike Best, Johnny All Star, Alex Ross and a host of other high profile names that are missing from the card.*

Moretti: What? What’s going on?

*The cameras continue to pan around and Moretti finally starts to realize what is going on.*

Moretti: Ah, I know what it is… you all miss your hero, Mike Best. Well, don’t worry folks because Mike Best is doing just fine, he’s resting up for his huge title defense and although he wishes he was competing tonight, there were just some things that came up. Rest assured, Mike Best WILL be defending his title next week at Roll the Dice against Johnny All Star and that other guy, *almost in a whisper* Stevo.

*The fans start to murmur amongst themselves but the murmur turns into an all out cheer as “Grillz” by Nelly hits the PA and out walks Howie Banks, a look of disbelief plastered across his face. Banks stops about halfway down the steel ramp way and puts the microphone to his mouth.*

Banks: All right Moretti, enough is enough and it’s time for you to give Psyko Stevo the respect he deserves!

*Moretti takes a step back as the fans start to cheer. Jimmy then starts to laugh a very over the top laugh as he stands in the center of the ring, looking down at Howie Banks.*

Moretti: Why should I ever respect him? I never wanted his old, washed up, has been persona stepping foot in an sVo ring. That was Page’s decision, and a very bad one I might add.

Banks: Bad decision? You have to be out of your mind! Stevo is one of the few guys in this company, present company excluded of course, that actually puts these fans in their seat. Stevo is a legend in this industry and it’s about time that you start to show him the respect he deserves, the respect he has EARNED.

*The fans cheer Howie on as he defends his friend, Moretti is not buying into it though.*

Moretti: Forget it Banks, never gonna happen. Short of winning the World Title, which will NEVER happen… there is nothing that Psyko Stevo could ever do to change the disdain I feel for him and his so called ‘wrestling abilities’.

*Banks stops speaking and takes a deep breath.*

Banks: Well, at least I tried to reason with you…

Moretti: What is that supposed to mean?

*Moretti leans in towards the ropes, expecting a trick as Banks turns his back and takes a few steps towards the curtain leading to the backstage area. The roof nearly blows off the building as from under the ring we see movement. Suddenly, the figure of Psyko Stevo is seen rising to his feet and sliding under the bottom rope. Moretti looks up at the sVo Tron and sees this happening and he quickly spins around a throws a right hand, which Psyko Stevo immediately ducks. Stevo off the second rope… PSYKLONE! Psyko Stevo just Psykloned the co-owner of the sVo! Jimmy Moretti is lying on the mat motionless, looking up at the roof of the arena as Psyko Stevo hops up on the turnbuckle and salutes the fans before hopping off, standing over Moretti and giving the signal that he will be the next sVo World Heavyweight champion. Stevo then walks over to the rope and does a back flip out of the ring before joining up with Howie Banks at the steel ramp way as the two raise their arms in the air to show that they are once again unified and working towards the same goals.*

TRIPLE THREAT MATCH
Alonzo Calais vs. Christian Heights vs. Joey Peyton

Before the next match begins a familiar tune hits the PA system…”In Your World”, by Muse. The fans instantly know its Rex Fury and cheer for the One Minute Wonder. Nick Harris, the sVo commentator gets on his feet and applauds.

Harris: For this match only we will have special commentary from the one and only Wank King himself…Rex Fury.

Rex makes his way to the announce table and adjusts his headset as if he had been doing this for years.

Harris: Welcome Rex.

Fury: Wanks a lot pal. Good to be here.

Harris: You ever done this type of stuff?

Fury: Yeah, I’ve sat at tables before with headphones on…it isn’t that hard.

Nick Harris looks up at the heavens as if he knows he’s going to be in for a long match.

The arena lights dim as super massive Black Hole plays over the arena’s sound system. Flashbulbs begin to go off at the upper ramp as two spotlights circle the top off the ramp. The spotlights later focus on Alonzo Calais who appears, walking out onto the ramp as if he is a model on the catwalk.

A few “fans” rush over with pen and paper, “asking” for autographs. He pushes one or two away with an outstretched hand and continues, with a few “photographers” following not too far behind; letting loose with their camera flashes.

As he approaches the ring, he makes his way towards the stairs and climbs them; posing with each ascending step. Alonzo steps through the ropes and enters the ring. He walks across the ring with his catwalk-like walk and poses on the other end. Alonzo then repeats his walk back across and poses again.

Finally, he climbs up the nearest turnbuckle and greets the audience with both his hands outstretched; blowing kisses and waving as the music fades and the lights brighten.

Ring Announcer: Ladies and gentlemen, makings his way from Greenwich Village, Manhattan, New York…ALONZO CALAIS!

Fury: Where did we get this guy from?

Harris: Don’t know but he sure is cocky…

Fury: Cocky? Sounds like Alonzo’s favorite word…Oh wait you said “Cocky”.

“You could never be my envy”
“You could never be my jealousy”
Guitar riffs and solos kick in

The lights in the arena flicker multiple times, and then slowly dim down. The Jumbo Tron goes completely black as a faint blue hue overtakes the arena. In bold red letters, the phrase “Joey Peyton” appears centered, on the pre-existing black backdrop of the Jumbo Tron. A loud blast of pyro erupts and is instantly followed by the continuing of ‘Gimme A.D.’ by Parkway Drive. The crowd showers the arena with cheers. “Joey Peyton” morphs into “The First Star”, and as if on cue, Joey steps out from behind the entrance curtain and onto the entrance ramp wearing black tights with “Adonis Di” written down his right leg in red lettering. He stands, perfectly centered at the top of the entrance ramp, and stretches his arms outward in a crucifix pose with his fists clenched. After a few seconds, he begins walking down to the ring, in a complete serious mode he ignores any and every fan. When he reaches the ring, he rolls inside, and leaps to his feet. He stands in the middle of the ring, looking out to the crowd. As he raises his arms, bright white pyro erupts on the four corners of the ring, stopping the music, and returning the arena lights to their original hue and brightness.

Ring Announcer: Now making his way to the ring, weighing in at 220 pounds, from Hollywood!…Joey Peyton!!!!

Harris: Peyton sure is a big man.

Fury: How do you know? Been checking him out in the locker room?

Harris: Stop it Rex.

As Joey enters the ring his theme dies and…

Avenged Sevenfold’s “Almost Easy” begins to play over the PA system.

“I feel insane!”

“The Arrogant Aerial Assassin” Christian Heights bursts through a black curtain and begins to make his way down to the aisle.

“Every single time I’m asked to compromise ‘Cause I’m afraid and stuck in my ways And that’s the way it stays

So how long did I expect love to outweigh ignorance? By the look on your face I may have forced the scale to tip”

Heights climbs up onto the ring apron before standing up with one leg on the second rope and the other near the top turnbuckle. Looking over the crowd, Heights uses a cocky smirk to let the fans know he thinks he’s better than them.

“I’m not insane, I’m not insane I’m not insane, I’m not I’m not insane” Heights lowers down a bit still perched on the turnbuckle.

“(Mother) Come back to me it’s almost easy (Said it all) Come back again it’s almost easy”

Heights jumps off the turnbuckle into the center of the ring. Down on one knee, he throws his head back and sprays red mist into the air

Ring Announcer: From Long Beach, California, weighing in at 170 pounds… The ARROGANT AERIAL ASSASSIN…Christian Heights!

Fury: This guy sure has a lot of nicknames.

Harris: So do you.

Fury: Can’t argue with that. Makes it easier to see t-shirts when you have so many nicknames. Someone is bound to like one of my 400 names and buy my gear.

[Christian walks down to the ring and hops in. His music fades out as the opening bell sounds.]

Harris: And we get this contest underway.

Fury: Damn it.

Harris: What?

Fury: I’m out of nachos.

Harris: *sighs* already?

Fury: Hey, a suckas gotta eat!

The three men are edgy at first, unsure of who to target first. Christian Heights comes charging Alonzo Calais, who simply sidesteps Heights, causing him to tumble over the top rope and to the padded floor below. Calais lets out a slight laugh before spinning around to see Joey Peyton who is also charging him. Calais sidesteps him, but instead of following Heights’s example, Peyton grabs the top rope, catching himself, standing on the apron. Alonzo Calais attempts a right hand but Joey blocks, and counters with his own right hand. Calais stumbles back just one half steps, which is more than enough time for Joey Peyton to capitalize, which he would have done, if Christian Heights wouldn’t have got back into the frey, by grabbing Joey by the ankle and pulling him to the floor. Peyton lands on his feet and smirks at Heights. He ducks a clothesline attempt from Heights, then connects with his own. He rolls back into the ring as Alonzo Calais connects a few kicks to the side, before running to the ropes. Joey Peyton immediately trails Calais and connects a shoulder tackle, sending Calais to the mat hard.

Fury: This Joey dude isn’t half bad.

Harris: Rumor has it, he’s killed someone.

Fury: Did he go to prison?

Harris: Don’t know. Why?

Fury: Because if so, then he paid his dues.

Harris: Because of how horrible prison is?

Fury: … Yeah that and big Willy ramming his Big Willy into Joey’s Peyton.

Harris: You’re a sick one.

Fury: You’re the one starting rumors that Joey killed someone. I wouldn’t be surprised if he sued you for defecation.

Harris: You mean defamation?

Fury: Yeah that too!

Christian Heights comes in from behind and attacks Joey, dropping him to a knee. Christian continues to hammer on the back and neck of Peyton, as Peyton fights to his feet. Peyton defends himself from Heights’s onslaught and gets to a vertical base, then gains control of the fist fight. He backs Heights to the turnbuckle, then uses his strength to whip the big man across the ring and hard into the opposite turnbuckle. Peyton slowly follows as Heights attends to his now sore back. As soon as Peyton hits center of the ring, Heights explodes out of the corner and connects with a big time running big boot, possibly knocking Peyton out for good.

Fury: HOLY SHITSTAINS BATMAN! What a boot!

Heights doesn’t waste time and goes straight for the pin.

[1….]

[2….]

[Kickout!!]

Harris: Near fall created by the man from Long Beach.

Fury: Coming from Orange County, I can tell you that Heights is from the LBC. Probably hangs out with Snoop Dogg.

Harris: You think Christian Heights is, as they say in the streets, a “Gangsta”?

Fury: No way, that dude looks like he hangs out with Snoopy from the Charlie Brown cartoons.

Heights looks at the ref as he rests on his knees. Before he can continue his offense on Peyton, Calais takes down Christian Heights, with a low dropkick to the side of Heights’s large body, knocking the big man over like a trash can. Alonzo is quick to his feet, as Heights stumbles to his. Calais darts towards Peyton and ducks a clothesline. He hits the ropes, coming back at Heights, and ducks another clotheslines. Instead of hitting the ropes again, Heights leaps, springing off the middle rope, spinning in mid-air and connects with a flying clothesline. Christian hits the mat and rolls out of the ring.

Fury: Heights may want to consider dropping the term ‘clothesline’ from his dictionary, he’s having problems with it.

As Alonzo Calais is up, so is Joey Peyton. Alonzo Calais begins targeting Joey’s legs with stiff kicks, tensing up the big mans legs. Eventually Peyton catches on to the game plan and catches the left leg. He backs Calais into a corner, but Calais uses that as leverage to shove Peyton off with his legs. Peyton charges after Calais, but Alonzo catches him with a boot to the face. The impact spins Peyton around, as Alonzo leaps onto the second turnbuckle, leaps off and drops Peyton to the mat with a bulldog. He rolls Joey over for a pin.

[2….]

[Kickout!!!]

Fury: I’m getting bored now.

Harris: Why are you so popular?

Fury: Well there is a rather complex answer to that question.

Harris: Nevermind. Forget I asked.

Fury: I never forget… (whispering) never…

Harris: Take it easy Day-Time Emmy…

Peyton grabs Calais by the hair, pulling him to his feet, only to drop him again with a back breaker. Christian Heights hits the ring and meets Joey in the center of the ring. Joey tries to sock him with a left hand, but it’s blocked by Heights, who catches the arm, pulls Joey towards him, and then throws him down with a Samoan Drop. Christian Heights aides Peyton to his feet, then whips him to the ropes. Heights waits for Joey to return, and once he does, Heights hoists him up into the air, then drops him with a press slam.

Harris: Christian Heights showing off some very impressive strength.

Fury: Steroids….

Harris: Don’t you go starting rumors.

Fury: You’re right. Heights only weighs 170lbs soaking wet. He’s no Roger Clemens.

From behind, Calais hops onto Height’s back attempting a sleeper hold. Heights shows even more strength by keeping his balance with a 200+ pound man on his back. Heights back peddles into the turnbuckle, crushing Calais in-between. Christian steps out of the turnbuckle, with Alonzo Calais still there, then charges and connects a clothesline.

Fury: By God! He did it! He connected with a clothesline!

Harris: Umm… yay?

Fury: He never gave up trying. Give the man credit.

Calais stumbles out of the turnbuckle and out of desperation swings a right fist that Heights easily ducks and goes underneath. Heights hooks both arms in a full nelson, then lifts Calais into the air, only to slam him down with a slam, putting Alonzo down on his neck. Alonzo Calais rolls out of dodge, trying to recover. Heights looks to continue his attack, but Joey Peyton is in to intervene. The two men exchange right hands but after Heights stuns him with a thumb to the eye, Peyton halts. Christian backs to the ropes and gains a bit more speed, to come after Peyton, who ducks a clothesline. Christian spins around and gets lifted into Peyton’s patented move, the BLEED WELL. Peyton quickly makes the cover.]

Fury: Damn it. He missed one.

Harris: Joey Peyton is pinning.

[1….]

[2….]

[3!!!]

Fury: Huh?

Harris: And it’s over! Joey Peyton is the winner!

Fury: Maybe these guys weren’t half bad as I thought.

Harris: Thanks Rex for joining us today.

Fury: You’re lucky to have had me…not in a sexual way either….

Peyton rolls out of the ring as Alonzo Calais looks on in disbelief.

RESULT: Joey Peyton def. Alonzo Calais & Christian Heights

PICTURE PERFECT

Backstage we see both Howie Banks and Psyko Stevo walking down the hallway as they are discussing some plans and idea’s about everything that has gone down in the last little while. Letting the fans know they are still united, both men look to be successful in trying to capture championship gold. Howie Banks wants the International Title while Psyko Stevo wants the World Championship.

Banks: “That was genius!”

Stevo: “It sure was!”

Both men are smiling so happily as they enter their dressing room.

Stevo: “You know… I’m glad we talked things out.”

Banks: “Yeah, I know what you mean.”

Stevo: “Together we are the most dominant force in the sVo.”

Banks: “What was I thinking?”

Stevo: “No, man. What was I thinking?”

He pauses.

Stevo: “I shouldn’t have you carry my bags, you should be up there beside me the rest of the way you know? You’ve got a lot of talent and I apologize for what I did to you.”

Howie nods.

Banks: “I know man, I know…”

He pauses.

Banks: “Put it there … Partner!”

He extends his hand out to Psyko Stevo who reaches out and grabs it back as they shake hands and nod their heads, smiling with so much excitement built up.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

“Woke Up This Morning” by A3 began to play… which could only mean one thing.

Moretti.

And it was. Jimmy Moretti split the curtains backstage to step out along side his new bodyguard, ArchAngel.

But where was he when Moretti was attacked by Stevo? He seemed a bit shaken up still from the attack as he stood on the stage way with the fans booing him.

Moretti was all set and ready to go with microphone in hand.

“Ladies and Gentlemen of the sVo… it was said earlier this week online that my personal bodyguard and behemoth, Arch Angel would be debuting in action, right here, tonight…”

The fans popped in anticipation of seeing the man responsible for ruining the bright career of the Underground Hero, CJ Newfield.

“Unfortunately, that will not take place here tonight… Oh no. Arch Angel will not be competeing in this match with Rex Fury and Ascaron… Oh no,”

The fans were a bit confused.

They were promised a three-way match to start the card off?

“Instead… the match between two of the biggest rookies we have in the sVo will fight for the right to a title shot for the Las Vegas Championship, following Roll The Dice,”

He pauses.

“I’m well assure that Mr. Rex Fury won himself a contract into the match this weekend… but he’s been so great I think he deserves another shot, regardless if he wins the 4 way match or not… If he walks away from RTD the champion – he will get the week off. That is all,”

“Have a good evening, folks!”

SINGLE MATCH
Ascaron vs. Rex Fury

The scene panned into two rookies already in the ring to do battle in this opening dark-match on Showdown 16. Rex Fury was young high flyer out of Los Angeles dressed in a yellow dry-fit suit and his counterpart, Ascaron was dressed in a simple pair of black tights.

The two circled each other in the ring sizing up a legitimate weakness they could attack. Ascaron made the first move, diving at Rex in attempt to take him over. Fury was swept by his feet and quickly attempted to get back up so he would not be taken over by attacks while on all fours.

Ascaron was taken over by a spear into the corner and Fury wisely used Ascaron’s inability to maneuver to his advantage working up the ladder with body shots, to chest shots, up towards his face where the fans of the sVo began to count down.

Fury grabbed Ascaron in a headlock, spun him around onto the second rope and dropped him with a big-time Tornado DDT that received a nice reaction from the crowd. Fury wasted no time covering up.

2!

Kickout!

Ascaron wouldn’t go down that easy in his opening bought and after some back and forth action eventually caught Fury sleeping with a big time clothesline that turned the Californian inside out!

Pinfall!

1!

2!

3! NOOOOO!

Fury just slipped a shoulder up to render the pin fall unsuccessful.

Ascaron slammed his fist into the mats after Fury’s kick-out and both men got up at roughly the same time to charge at eachother, however Fury saw another clothesline attempt coming, ducked under and latched onto Ascaron’s stomach.

GERMAN SUPLEX!

A HUGE German Suplex delivered with authority dropping Ascaron on his neck had the fans wondering if EMT’s would need to come and help him out of the arena on a stretcher!

That’s when Fury has just enough time to set up the ReXplosion…

That was all she wrote!

1!

3!

No doubt.

Rex Fury with a huge debut here in the sVo, proving himself a worthy competitor in the Las Vegas Division and he’s earned himself a title shot following Roll The Dice.

RESULT: Rex Fury def. Ascaron

NIGHTMARE IN VEGAS

A black screen is shown with the words, “Earlier Today” written on the screen. We cut to a dark room somewhere in the Goodfellas Arena. Nothing can be seen or heard as of yet, but after a short time, some wicked laughter begins to be heard off in the distance. The voice gets louder then comes to a stop.

Voice: There comes a time in a man’s life when he has to make a choice. The choices could affect his or her future. Sometimes in life, we have to roll the dice. Funny how that saying is the same as tonight’s Pay Per View, ROLL THE DICE. Tonight, I, Peter Gilmour go into the ring with a man who has disgraced the sport of professional wrestling and the hardcore division which I have made my own in the man called NIGHT. Now Night, you say you have a destiny to follow. Some path to greatness as your rabbi or whoever you pray to says. You are a pathetic joke to this company and a JOKE to that hardcore title which you know you STOLE from me. I had you laid out in a pool of your own blood on those steps but that moronic referee that was assigned to the match must of been watching a Britney Spears tape and forgot his brain. But it doesn’t matter to me anymore. Tonight, I finally get to fight you one and one. Tonight, I get to take back what is rightfully mine and that is the hardcore title. Night, I am going to beat you like the BITCH you are and you will not be able to stop me from beating you to within an inch of your life and taking my title that I rightfully mine. So tonight, I will go to that ring the challenger. But I promise you, after i beat your skinny ass to a bloody pulp and take the Hardcore Title away from you, I will bury you in the desert and let the vultures eat at your carcass. Be afraid Night, be very afraid.

Peter begins to laugh hysterically and then stop suddenly. A light is then turned on and we now see Peter with his head down sitting in a black chair. The camera zooms in to capture Peter’s face. Peter flips his hair up in one swift motion and we see that he is wearing an ABYSS like mask with blood seeping through it.

Peter: Welcome to your worst nightmare! This will a dream you will NOT awake from.

Peter laughs wickedly again and then does the Abyss taunt as he yells into the camera.

Peter: RAAAAAWWWWWWWRRRRRRRR!

We fade to black as the light is shut off.

TAG TEAM MATCH
Brock Alyas & Peter Gilmour vs. Howie Banks & Night

The stage is set for what may very well be the “sleeper-match” of one hell of a Showdown16 card. Many people had intentions on seeing how the youngster, Cody Williams could square up against the sVo vet, Psyko Stevo. Others were geeked to see Kelly Flawless, Spring Heeled Jack and El Gimicko in a triple-threat hardcore match.

But right now, Howie Banks along side Night would do battle with Brock Alyas along side Peter Gilmour.

The chemistry of the match is a recipe for disaster, as there are two champions in their respected divisions, but that’s not where the feud starts, seemingly. Instead, Peter Gilmour has a bitter taste in his mouth since the last time squaring up with Night, where Night was crowned the Hardcore Champion – a milestone Gilmour would’ve sold his soul to the devil for.

In the other match-up, it’s a dog eats dog style match-up where two men in the incarnation of Howie Banks and Brock Alyas are doing battle for the first time in their careers. Howie is a veteran around the sVo and forces his opponents to recognize his athleticism and knowledge in the ring. Brock on the other hand, is just out to destroy on route to the first 5-match streak of his career.

“Grillz” By Nelly hit’s the pa system. Howie Banks comes out wearing his normal ring gear with a robe around him that’s a golden yellow color. It also has white jewels on it. He makes his way down to the ring as the fans try to touch him but he walks a straight line down as he gets to the ring. He walks up the steel steps and onto the ring apron as he then gets into the ring as the fans have a mixed reaction.

Howie Banks motive – Walk away victorious whether it’s Night or himself who has to put Gilmour away. Brock Alyas has seemingly become harder and harder to put down and out for the pin as weeks pass, Gilmour with the inexperience in the sVo ring will be the key to victory.

A whisper… “I’m dreaming…”

The distant chords of Deftones’ “Knife Party” cut through the PA as the arena lights cut completely. The Tron sparks to life as the words “I’m dreaming…” float onto it. As the song errupts the words are replaced by one.

A name.

” N I G H T “

An explosion of purple light as a man in a black mask appears. At least, the mask appears black at first, but on closer inspection it appears to be made of the night sky. The mask does not entirely cover the man’s head and a head of black dreadlocks stream out, tracing the man’s jaw.

The man stands at the top of the entrance ramp – motionless for a moment, his stance elegant and mysterious, giving away nothing of his motives. As the music swirls away, the man only known as Night begins his walk to the ring – only, he doesn’t walk, it appears more of a graceful glide. Although he moves seemlessly, he moves deceptively quickly to the ring, sliding deliberately and headfirst into the ring.

Night’s motive – Destroy Peter Gilmour and reign supreme within his desired Hardcore Division. Pick up all the pieces in the rather impressive resume he’s put together here. Avoid from any match-ups with Brock Alyas at all costs.

So the alliance of Night along side Howie Banks were in the ring ready to go, discussing a game plan when they were rudely interrupted by the amplified bass lines of “Everything Sucks” by Dope. Just as the bass drops for three seconds, 0:18 into the song, pyrotechnics blast at the sound of guitar riffs and Brock Alyas came along with them. The fans gave a huge pop for Alyas, who has proven himself as an underdog since he came in and has had the odd’s stacked against him upstairs since week one in the sVo.

Brock came out with his Las Vegas strapped over his shoulder and a bottle of water in his right hand, slapping fans the whole way down the ramp with his left. Brock slid underneath the bottom ropes and into the ring where he hoisted himself onto a turnbuckle and raised his hands into the air to get a huge pop from the crowd as they jam out to the mosh-pit type anthem.

Brock Alyas’ Motive – Avoid match-ups with Night and focus on Howie Banks not squeaking out a pinfall over Gilmour.

The lights go out in the arena and the beginning chords of Lamb of God’s WALK WITH ME IN HELL begin to play. The lights then turn red and Max Masterson begins to make his way out to the ramp. He is dressed in a red suit and holding a singapore cane. He looks over the crowd and begins to laugh. Soon after, Peter Gilmour comes out in a dark red cloak with no hood and the words “Xtreme” on the back. Peter meets Max and both of them throw up an “X” as fire emits in the same fashion behind them. The duo goes to the ring, ignoring the fans comments towards them. Max gets into the ring first and Peter follows behind him. Peter goes into the middle of the ring stretches out his arms and rolls his eyes in back of his head ala the Undertaker, as the lights come back on. Max takes off Peter’s cloak and Peter looks at the ramp intently, waiting on his next opponent.

Peter Gilmour’s Motive – Destroy Night.

So everyone was ready and set to go, as Brock Alyas and Peter Gilmour discuss strategy outside the ring. They’re waiting to see who the other duo is going to send out first and when it’s Howie Banks taking their corner, Brock Alyas steps through the second rope with a big smile on his face, rubbing both hands together in anticipation to getting his hands on Banks.

“Hollywood” Howie Banks attempted getting the fans on his side by pointing at Brock and looking away to laugh. However the minute Brock stepped into the ring it was on, they were the two official combatants in the match up. Brock used that signal to his advantage as he turns Banks inside OUT with a huge clothesline.

WHAM!

A nice pop from the sVo fans as their appreciation is amplified by 10,000+ screaming fans.

Brock wasted no time letting Banks get up and forced him back to his feet before physically ready so he could take him over with a huge irish whip into his and Gilmour’s corner where both men could take advantage. Brock followed suit and crushed Banks in between a 275 pound figure and a turnbuckle.

Ouch.

Banks stumbled to the canvas upon impact and Brock turned to the fans to receive a reaction. Just as Brock turns around, it appears as though he’s wasted too much time and Banks telegraphs Alyas’ pursuit and hits him square between the legs with a low blow.

Banks has a huge smile on his face after getting up and lifting the big man to his feet to only wear him back down with a drop kick to the kneecap, hyper extending it to a certain extent. Banks picks his opponent up once again and uses the snapmare to his advantage taking Brock over, leaving him sitting upwards where Banks finishes it up with a couple spinal tap kicks.

As Brock agonizes in the sharp pain sent up his vertebrae, Banks turns to his opponent to tag him in. On the other corner, Gilmour is jumping up and down attempting to get Brock back on his feet so he could take this one. Night immediately climbs the top rope when he’s tagged the official man in the match and attempts a big time body splash on the fallen Brock Alyas.

Attempts.

Brock manages to get both knees in the air, knocking the wind out of Night who thought it would be a sure-fire way to take the momentum of the match in his respected duo’s favour. There’s the experience invested in Alyas working at it’s finest. Brock wasted no time getting up after that as Howie Banks rushes towards him as well, each men throwing right after right, where Brock’s punches just weigh a bit more as he has Banks outweighed by nearly 30 pounds.

Banks slowly begins to be worked over and Brock whips him outside the ring and turns to Gilmour who cannot wait to get his hands on Night. Brock taps his opponent in and both men have about 7 seconds to set up a double team maneuver legally.

Brock hoists Night in a piledriver and brings him over to the nearest corner where Gilmour has already ascended the turnbuckle grabbing the heels of both of Night’s feet, adding to the pressure in which his head is cemented into the canvas. Brock leaves it up to his opponent to keep this one in their favour.

Gilmour wastes no time showing his appreciation for Night as blow behind blow are delivered to crucial parts of Night’s body – chin, temples, gut etc.

Gilmour whips Night into his corner where a dazed Night is taken over by a turnbuckle induced Tornado DDT. Howie Banks was being a bit too quiet and eventually made his presence felt as he sweeps Gilmour’s feet from beneath him, temporarily rendering him on the ground but mostly to turn his attention to Banks who use the third rope as a guillotine by bringing Gilmour’s throat into it while falling backwards off the canvas on to his feet outside the ring.

This gave Night just enough time to climb the turnbuckle again and this time complete a picture perfect moon sault landing right onto Peter Gilmour who was deathly near the ropes. Night lands ontop of his opponent as Brock makes his way into the ring to break up the pinfall, Howie Banks wisely slides under the ropes and takes Brock out by his feet.

One!

Two!

Kickout!

Gilmour manages to send Night off of him and Night picks up him, frustrated that he wouldn’t be able to pick up an easy one along side Howie Banks.

Speak of the Devil, Howie Banks was tagged the official man in this contest, a decision he and Night made that Brock did not want to see happen. While Banks isn’t the most athletic wrestler around, he’s arguably one of the more experienced wreslter’s in the sVo. Howie Banks sent a couple sharp boots to the gut to Peter Gilmour before running into the opposing ropes and coming back delivering a wicked neckbreaker. Howie Banks followed this up with a pinfall attempt.

One!

Two!

No!

Brock Alyas’ legal interference during the pinfall was the deciding factor in making this match history. Just as the action is picking up in the ring, Mike Best is seen at the top of the ramp making his way to the ring with his World title, but nobody in the ring knows he’s coming because it’s an all out warfare in the ring as Banks and Gilmour trade punches and Night and Alyas also exchange blows.

Night kicks Alyas in the gut before setting up a big time delayed suplex that not only sent all of Brock’s blood to his head, but also had a big time impact on the back of his neck as the suplex was delivered with a snap.

In nearly perfect unison, Gilmour takes Banks over with a big-time brainbuster that’s impact is rather big. Best slowly creeps up to the side of the ring as Gilmour tags Brock the legal man as soon as Brock takes his place on the canvas outside of the ropes. Night and Brock exchange punches but Night seems to get the best of him after a kick to the gut that takes all the breath out of Brock and Night runs into the opposing ropes where he comes back with a running somersault that hits Brock square in the chest.

Night picks Brock up into the air and signals that he’s ready to deliver his signature “I’m Dreaming” maneuver which was delivered in the form of a running fireman’s carry brain buster.

As Night begins his running pursuit to dish some punishment to Brock, Mike Best makes his motives known as he delivers a huge blow to the head of Night with the sVo World Championship while the ref is distracted as Howie Banks and Peter Gilmour, two unofficial men in the match are delivering blows outside the ring.

Alyas shakes the cobwebs out of his head before realizing what had happened.

CAREER ENDER!

One!

Two!

Three!

That’s all she wrote – Brock Alyas and Peter Gilmour are victorious due to some smart match-up strategy as Gilmour and Banks were not the official men in the match for very long.

All thanks to Mike Best, the tables took a drastic turn in the form of Brock Alyas collecting his 5th straight win. Could this have anything to do with Best’s interaction with Brock as of late?

Tune into Roll the Dice, folks.

RESULT: Brock Alyas & Peter Gilmour def. Howie Banks & Night

ANIMOSITY

As Mike Best strolls away from the match-up in which four men put their bodies on the line to not only entertain but gain victory, Best finds himself in a position where he felt the need to stick his nose in business in which he did NOT belong.

As Night is still laid out in the centre of the ring, Howie Banks is outside the ring in disbelief and Peter Gilmour no longer feels the need to celebrate upon seeing the look on Brock Alyas’ face.

Brock asks for microphone from the commentator’s aside the ring and kayfabe was definitely being broken inside the ring. The atmosphere around the arena was dead silent as Brock is quickly tossed a microphone.

“Hey Best!” Brock yells.

“BEST YOU FUCKIN’ PUSSY!”

Mike Best turns around with his eyes shortened to see whose talking to him in the ring.

“What the FUCK are you thinking you piece of shit! You think by some chance I’m going to join your little gay fan club because you help me defeat Howie Banks and Night? Two men I’ve gained a certain degree of respect for in the sVo,”

“CERTAIN MEN WHO ACTUALLY COMPETE HERE”

Uhoh.

Fireworks.

Best had enough.

“Hey Alyas! How about you shut the fuck up you ignorant PRICK. If it wasn’t for me, your ass would’ve been handed a loss by two JOBBERS who have no right to even be in the same ring as you,”

“You know what… you want to go and play in the little pig pen with the kiddies, fine. I was giving you an opportunity to become something great here and associate yourself with those who reign supreme in the sVo!”

Brock chuckles in the ring.

“That’s really funny Best! Almost hilarious seeing as you made an alliance with the former number one contender for that strap on your shoulder… a man I personally DEFEATED in this very ring last week,”

“Who the FUCK do you think you are, coming out here and ruining a match these people paid DAMN GOOD money for!”

The fans were behind Brock at this point 100%.

Best turns to them as they begin a BEST SUCKS chant. A little smirk creeps up onto his face and he puts the microphone to his mouth.

“Yeah, Best REALLY sucks. Best is the worst wrestler in the sVo. Best is a terrible human being, yet BEST IS THE SVO WORLD FUCKIN’ CHAMP BABY…. AND NOT TO MENTION EACH AND EVERYONE ONE OF YOUS DADDY!”

The fans did not agree with the words spoke from the Mike Effect.

“I AM THE BEST FUCKING WRESTLER IN THIS ENTIRE ORGANIZATION AND ANYONE WHO THINKS OTHERWISE IS JUST A FUCKIN PAWN IN MY COURT!”

“Best, I’ve got a little challenge for you. How about you put your little Chess theory to test, leave your World Title strap up on the ramp way there and come down here and prove you’re the best wrestler in the sVo!”

Best smirked and hesitated to move, it was clear as day he had NO idea how to react to this one.

Just as Best puts the microphone to his mouth to respond, he’s interrupted by “Woke Up This Morning” by A3… which could only mean one thing – Jimmy Moretti.

Oh yeah.

The boss made his presence felt here along side his bodyguard, Arch Angel and his manager the Revernd. Jimmy Moretti wasn’t wearing his typical business coat, no instead he was wearing the brand new ARCHANGEL “PAIN IS THE ONLY OUTCOME” t-shirt which you can purchase at the Goodfella’s Shop Zone!

Moretti had microphone on and ready to go.

“Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow,”

“Hold the train! Hold it! Brock! I think we can both agree we don’t need ANOTHER Showdown this evening, the card must go on and plus, how much sense would it make for there to be an UNSANCTIONED match in the ring with two men who will be defending their championships at Roll The Dice?”

Brock was fuming. He literally had smoke coming out of his ears. He’d slowly learned to hate Jimmy Moretti since the arrival of ArchAngel, along with the games Moretti’s played with Brock, deeming him unimportant to his coalition.

At this point, Jimmy Moretti was standing beside Mike Best on the ramp who had a HUGE smile on his face, and Moretti had his arm around the shoulder of Best.

“Plus. What makes you think you should get a shot at the Champ anyways?”

At this point Brock was losing his mind.

“YOU KNOW WHAT MORETTI! FUCK YOU! YOU WANT TO GO AND ALLIGN YOURSELF WITH ANY AND EVERYONE I DESPISE IN THIS ORGANIZATION, ON A WEEK TO WEEK BASIS BECOME BEST BUDDIES WITH WHOMEVER I’M FACING! FUCK YOU!”

This was a Brock Alyas nobody had seen before and Peter Gilmour, Howie Banks and even Night were all standing behind him.

“MORETTI YOU WANT TO GO AND MAKE FRIENDS WITH THE LITTLE STABLE WE’VE GOT GOING ON… FINE. I DON’T FUCKING NEED YOU! I DON’T NEED ANYONE ELSE! I CAN DO THIS SHIT BY MYSELF… I WILL FUCKING DESTROY EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW!”

ArchAngel took a couple steps towards the ring before Moretti stepped in front of him and pleaded for him to get back.

“You better be THANKFUL for the things I’ve done for you Brock. You ungrateful FUCK! I took your ass in from the loonie bin after the little incident with Melissa and THIS is how you repay me for having vendetta’s I wanted to take care of that you so seemingly weren’t interested in, just winning championships and making the FANS happy! So you know what Brock… you can just save that hostility for Roll The Dice where you WILL be defending your beloved Las Vegas Championship against who ever wins the ROLL THE DICE 4-way Match Up!”

“That’s a fucking HONOUR. I’m going to give you a break and hope you redeem yourself from losing your mind and your pride to Mike Best who simply just wanted to show his appreciation to you,”

“There’s business to be attended to, however. See you Brock,”

And that was it.

Brock Alyas left in the ring with tears building up in his eyes from anger.

Jimmy Moretti, AA, the Revernd and Mike Best all make their way to the backstage and Best is walking backwards still looking Alyas dead in the eye with his signature smirk on his face.

This couldn’t be over.

MAIN EVENT STATUS

The scene opens up to the backstage area where we see the sVo Sunday Night Showdown backdrop, and standing in front of it is sVo interviewer and correspondent Katie Smith, wearing a sparkling red dress. She raises up her microphone to her lips and begins to speak.

Katie Smith: Tonight’s main event pits two highly competitive wrestlers against each other. One a former sVo International champion, and the other the self proclaimed Reflection of Perfection. And joining me right now is…

The camera zooms out to reveal “The Reflection of Perfection” Cody Williams standing next to Katie, with Sasha standing next to him with her hands on her hips. Cody has a golden fur coat on and Swarovski encrusted armani shades on. Sasha has a matching gold dress that has a low bust cut. Cody raises his hand to cut Katie off and takes his sunglasses off.

Cody Williams: The self proclaimed? It’s not some moniker I came up with, its the TRUTH! Cody Williams is perfection personified, second to none, and tonight… The MAIN EVENT!

Katie Smith: In reference to the main event, tonight you are going up against Psyko Stevo someone who isn’t new to the main event scene.

Cody Williams: He may be new to the scene but Katie what you fail to realize is that I AM the main event. Before my injury five years ago, I was headlining in every organization I competed in. I was headlining in the United States, canada, Mexico, Japan. You know the saying “If you build it, they will come”?

Katie Smith: Yes..

Cody Williams: Well, no matter what, you put Cody Williams on your show, and they will come! Hahaha.

His laughter slowly dies out before he rubs his chin.

Katie Smith: Some have been saying that you are one of the rising stars here in the sanctioned Violence organisation and are the one to watch in the year 2008.

Cody Williams: Just one month ago I made my sVo debut. Two weeks ago, I was headling Showdown in an unanounced surprise Ladder Match against Alex Ross. The sVo booking committee are no fools in putting Cody Williams in the main event. The sVo knew that if they signed me, if they got the exclusive contract to Cody Williams then their ratings, their fan base, their overall product would increase ten fold. And you know what, they’re right, I am the best investment they have ever made since… EVER!

Katie Smith: As many accolades as you have Psyko Stevo shouldn’t be underestimated.

Cody Williams: I haven’t forgotten that fact Katie. A former Dynasty Wrestling World and Cruiserweight champion, former sVo International champion. While those feats are quite impressive, they don’t mean a thing when we step into the ring. And why? Because you haven’t stepped into the ring with ME! None of those accomplishments will matter when you step in the ring and go one on one with Cody Williams. And when it is all said and done and I beat you in the ring one, two, three.. The sVo will have to think twice about having you in the three way match at Roll The Dice for the World Heavyweight Championship. Now if you excuse me, I have a match to prepare for!

Katie Smith: Wait! Wait!

Cody Williams: What?

Katie Smith: Everyone is dying to know, are you and Sasha going to be getting married tonight?

Cody Williams: Are you kidding me? You’re seriously asking me that? Do you think I would get married on a television show? Where everyone here paid twenty bucks for their seat and everyone at home is watching for free? HELL NO! You want to see Sasha and I get nmarried, its going to be at the pay per view, Roll The Dice, for the low, low, price of $39.95!

He places his shades back onto his face and smirks at Katie. He grabs Sasha’s hand and the two of them exit stage right while Katie Smith watches them walk off into the distance. The camera slowly zooms in on the Sunday Night Showdown logo before slowly fading to black.

MAIN EVENT – SINGLE MATCH
Cody Williams vs. Psyko Stevo

The sound of a THX Dolby Digital Surround Sound test fills the arena, synched to the slow dimming of the house lights. “Head Like A Hole (Clay Remix) by Nine Inch Nails plays on the speakers. Gold lights and lasers wander throughout the arena as smoke and the flashing of a strobe light covers the entrance way.

Bow down before the one you serve
You’re going to get what you deserve
Bow down before the one you serve
You’re going to get what you deserve

Out steps a long legged, vuluptuous, dark haired woman who stops at the top of the ramp. She looks at the crowd who is in awe of her beauty. She giggles then turns back and points to the entrance. Through the curtain comes “The Reflection of Perfection” Cody Williams. He moves to the right of the ramp and looks at the crowd before heading towards the left. He looks at his valet Sasha and moves close to her, embracing her and staring deep into her eyes. He kisses her on the lips and embraces her hand. The two make their way down to the ring, Cody taking his time with an overwhelming bit of confidence in his step. The two make their way onto the apron: Sasha slowly entering the ring, bending over and showing off her assets. Cody stares and makes motion of his heart beating fast. He slaps her on the ass and steps into the ring. He rushes to the nearest corner and raises his arms up and stares into the crowd. He jumps down and stands in front of Sasha who rubs his chiseled b ody while she takes off his fur coat and sunglasses.

“Sensation washes over me
I can’t describe it
Pain I felt so long ago
I don’t remember
Tear a hole so I can see
My devastation
Feelings from so long ago
I don’t remember”

“Remember” by Disturbed hits the sound system and the anticipation in the arena grows as a flash of pyros welcomes the arrival of ‘the best around’ Psyko Stevo in the sVo entrance ramp! Stevo raises his hands in the air to taunt the fans before slowly making his way down the steel ramp towards the ring. Halfway down the ramp Stevo stops and poses once again for the fans, with another burst of golden pyros firing up into the air behind him as he does. ‘The Ironman’ then slides into the ring and bounces on the second rope to once again signal to the crowd, before retreating to the corner of the ring for some last minute warm ups before the match gets underway.

The bell sounds.

Cody Williams and Psyko Stevo start the match off by coming closer together and then motioning towards each other as they tie up. Stevo quickly makes the first move as he wraps his arms around Williams head for a head lock. When Cody struggles we see the veteran take him down to the ring mat with it now. Stevo tightens the grip but begins to stand up as he just shoves the youngster back and away from the submission move.

They come back towards the middle of the ring and both men motion towards one another to tie up again. This time though, Cody Williams knees Stevo in the mid section. He then throws a right hand shot to his temple area as the fans watch on. Stevo holds his head and gut area now as Cody grabs his neck and twists his body around with his own and comes crashing down across the ring mat with a neck breaker.

He goes for the cover early on Stevo as he hooks his leg while the referee makes the count.

Cody continues the assault by applying pressure on his neck and chin area once again but this time with a chin lock submission. Williams tightens the grip on the hold but with the current momentum rising and rising for the Psyko one we see Stevo rise up and start to get his way out of this. He shoves his elbows into the side of Stevo’s rib cage area as he breaks free. Cody let’s go as Stevo runs to the ropes, comes back and nails a forearm shot that sends Williams down and through the middle ropes all the way out to the floor.

The referee begins to make a count on Cody Williams now.

3………

Stevo follows him out there as he grabs Cody and bashes his head off of the steel steps. After doing that he grabs him and lifts him up and over for a suplex across the outside floor and that had to hurt! Stevo wastes no more time though as the referee was on the count still as Stevo climbs back into the ring watching Cody just laying on the outside floor trying to move around and get up.

6………

Cody makes his way up now as he crawls in under the bottom rope and back into the ring. Psyko Stevo is on his ‘A’ game tonight as he is getting prepared to take on Mike Best for the sVo World Championship at Roll The Dice. Stevo rushes over to Cody’s body as he looks to stomp him but Cody grabs his leg and gets a double leg take down on his body and sends him down across the ring mat. Cody gets on top of him and goes for a pin.

Nothing much from that though but Cody continues the assault now as he picks up Stevo and body slams him down. He now goes to the top ropes. Stevo however sees him and begins to get up. He runs at Cody who kicks him back. Cody now jumps off the top ropes and looks to hit a cross body splash that he nails. He takes Stevo down now as he is on top of him. He hooks his leg up as he is on him for the pin!

2..

No! Stevo kicks out of it and kicks out so hard that he sends his body across onto Cody’s now for the cover!

1..
2..

No! Williams kicks out from that pinning predicament.

Both men roll away from each other and stand back up as they begin to throw punches. The referee warns both men but it seems Stevo has the advantage. He whip Cody to the corner. He walks over to him and slaps him across the face. Cody isn’t too pleased about that as Stevo runs away from him into another corner, hops up on the top ropes and Cody runs at him but Stevo comes off the top ropes and almost nails a big boot to his face for his finisher The Psyklone but instead Cody ducked it! He now comes from behind and grabs Stevo as he picks him up in a pumphandle like maneuver and brings him up and then does a corkscrew turn and nails him head first into the ring mat! There it is… Picture Perfect!

Here’s the cover from Cody as he hooks his leg.

Wait – no! Cody Williams is dragged out from the ring as Alex Ross throws a right hand at him. Cody blocks it and then begins to battle him around the ring. As this is going on and the referee is paying attention to the action on the outside floor, we see Johnny All Star in the ring as he grabs Psyko Stevo from behind and whips him to the ropes, he then charges at Stevo but The Psyko One grabs the ropes and stops himself. He then super kicks Johnny All Star in the face and it sends him down and out of the ring. The distraction worked as Mike Best jumps in the ring now and whacks Psyko Stevo in the back of the head with a lead pipe! Stevo is down and he seems to be out of it. Cody Williams on the outside tosses Alex Ross into the steel steps as he gets into the ring and notices Stevo is down. He quickly gets on top of him and hooks his leg for the cover as the referee is now paying attention to everything. Mike Best and Johnny All Star grab Alex Ross and bring him up the ramp way with them as Cody Williams makes the count on Stevo.

RESULT: Cody Williams def. Psyko Stevo

Cody Williams gets the victory!

Thanks to Mike Best and his gang of friends as he had no idea! Cody has his hand raised as he looks towards the ramp way and notices Mike Best, Alex Ross and Johnny All Star watching on. Cody begins to leave the ring and walk towards the backstage area after his win as we see Psyko Stevo getting up and he is laying across the ring holding his head with his hand as he see’s who did what to him as he has a huge grin across his face. It seems the damage has been done, the advantage is on the champions side and the question is – can Psyko Stevo have the right kind of momentum he needs going into this championship match?
