The entrance video package for Uprising begins, accompanied by the theme song of ‘Uprising’ by Artificial Intelligence as highlights of past action from 2006 to present day are sped up, showing the likes of Elijah Drake, Jay Rayez, Shooting Star & Brutal Steve. As the video package finally comes to an end with an extended look at the ‘Uprising’ logo, the camera cuts to an exterior shot of the Goodfellas Casino Arena, in the heart of the Las Vegas strip, before cutting to a live shot of inside the arena.

The camera pans around the sold-out crowd, most of them on their feet and screaming loudly whilst trying to get their homemade sign shown in front of the camera. The cameras finally head over to the commentary table, where Zac Brindle and Johnny Kaos welcome the fans watching on the HOTv network on PWA:TV to the broadcast and begin to break down some of the action that will take place on tonight’s show!

The Explanation

After the exciting first match of the night between Teddy Rush and Lucy Von Drake, the cameras cut from the in ring celebration to the backstage area where Brandon Snyder is standing by in the P:V interview pit with Elena Cruz! The fans watching on the giant screen immediately begin to boo loudly at the sight of Snyder, who smirks at the reaction.

Elena Cruz: “Well Brandon, you heard that reaction for yourself. I think all of the fans want to know why you turned on your friend James Mendoza last time out on Uprising?”

Snyder smirks as the fans again boo loudly.

Brandon Snyder: “The fans want to know? Well I say screw the fans! I don’t owe any of them a god damn explanation!”

Loud boos from the fans!

Elena Cruz: “Well, what about James Mendoza, do you owe him an explanation?”

Snyder looks outraged at the question.

Brandon Snyder: “Me owe Mendoza? Seriously? Did you just ask me that? I carried him all the way to a shot at the P:V Championship, a shot that he blew might I add, and you are asking if I owe him something?”

Before Elena Cruz can follow up the question, Snyder is suddenly knocked to the floor from behind by an enraged James Mendoza! Mendoza, who is dressed in street clothes, stomps away at Snyder on the floor as Elena Cruz quickly scurries away from harms way.

Snyder tries to crawl away, but Mendoza doesn’t let him, as he continues to stomp and kick at his former tag team partner! Suddenly security burst onto the scene and restrain an angry Mendoza, allowing Snyder to crawl away and escape!

With Mendoza struggle to free himself from the grip of the security guards, the action heads back to ringside.

Clearing the Air

After the surprise result in the last match up, the cameras cut backstage to the corridors of the arena, where a stressed out P:V COO JD James is pacing. The fans loudly boo immediately as they spot JD James on their screen, but then boo even louder as he steps outside the locker room door marked ‘P:V Champion’.

James gulps nervously, before knocking on the door. After a few seconds the door opens, but instead of the ‘Dark Horse’ Curtis Knight being behind it, it is Athena who opens the door. Athena glances back over her shoulder, before stepping out into the corridor and closing the door behind her.

Athena: “Hey JD, what’s up?”

James glances up at the massive Athena nervously.

JD James: “Well nice as it is to see you Athena, I am actually here to speak to Curtis…”

Athena: “Ah shame about that JD, he isn’t actually here this evening…”

James looks confused.

JD James: “You sure about that Athena, I’m pretty sure I just heard him…”

Athena looks angry, as she steps forward a step closer to JD James, still looking down on him.

Athena: “I’m sure JD, now I am sure you are a busy guy, can I take a message?”

James nervously takes a step back and raises his hands in a submissive way.

JD James: “Sorry Athena, just tell Curtis I want to speak to him… you know… clear the air. It seems like there is some kind of bad blood between us, I want to make sure we are still all on the same page….”

Athena chuckles as she nods and disappears back around the door. JD James turns away to make his way down the corridor when he stops mid step when hearing some voices come from the locker room.

Curtis Knight: “You get rid of him ok?”

Athena: “Of course! You really think he put up much of a fight?”

Knight and Athena laugh from behind the door as a red faced JD James walks away.
