Search & DestroyThe scene heads to the backstage area, where Matt Anderson is standing in front of around thirty Company agents, all of whom look almost identical with their suits, ear pieces and dark shades. Matt Anderson looks to be handing around pictures of the masked man who interfered in last month’s PPV main event, and attacked the sVo Manager last week on Showdown.

Matt Anderson – “Consider this guy extremely dangerous. I have no doubt that he will try and get into the arena again here tonight, and it is up to all of you guys to stop him!”

There is a murmuring from the Company agents, all of them knowing just what the price of failure might be if it upsets the Company’s plans for the night.

Matt Anderson – “I want two of you at each entrance and exit, and I want the rest of you sweeping the arena until this guy is found. If you see him, then call for back up straight away. I want him found before he can do anything tonight, and I want him unmasked as well!”

The Company agents collectively nod their heads, tonight was set to be a long and nervous night.

Good Luck{Lying on his bed in his home was Colt Cooper. Smiling as he was still thinking about that dream he had of he and Limp. Only this time it’s different. Limp’s no longer on top of the fold. As Colt’s finished pulverizing him. An instant knock comes at his door, but Colt doesn’t budge. They knock a little harder, and Colt jumps out of his sleep to answer the door.}

“Who in the hell are you?”

{He stands at the door almost dosing off.}

“I have a personal delivery for a Colt Cooper.”

{Colt thinks on it, and he hasn’t ordered anything. Why would he have it sent here also?}

“A delivery. Colt Cooper didn’t order anything.”

“It’s a delivery from a Yolanda Cooper.”

{Colt opens the door. Yolanda is his oldest sister. She was given up for adoption by choice of our mother and her first husband. He hasn’t seen her or talked to her since his Brains and Brawns days. He signs off on the package and closes the door. He sits on his bed to open the package up.}

“This big ass box just for a card.”

{Colt opens the card up, and all it said was good luck. Colt smiles, as that was the same thing she told him when he and the rest of the members of Brains and Brawns tried out for Columbia Records. The scene begins to fade out to Colt looking at the card.}

ON THE LADDER TO THE TOPGrimnir is seen walking through the back of the arena with the Las Vegas title around his waist and a ladder slung over his shoulder. As he plods along, he pulls a shopping cart full of ladders of various sizes and shapes. Before the camerca crew can set up for a proper interview, Grimnir walks up and grabs the lens of the camera, shaking it slightly as he begins his rant.

Grimnir: Are you ready, Sinclair? Do you ever think you are ready to meet your end? I know I am. That is why I am bringing the whole kit and caboodle to the ring tonight to make sure that you can have all the ladders you need at your fingertips.

He shrugs off the ladder hanging on his shoulder, holding it towards the camera.

Grimnir: Right here I have a regular folding ladder. Sure, it isn’t high enough to reach the title that is suspended over us but it is a fine example of a ladder. Behind me…

He throws the ladder aside and starts rifling through the stack of ladders in the cart, throwing each one out on the floor as he lists each one off.

Grimnir: We have your extension ladder, your hook ladder, your roof ladder, your turntable ladder. Hell, I think I have a few foot stools here for you, just in case you need them!

He turns back towards the camera and starts to pant wildly, clearly getting worked up by the thought of having all of those ladders out. He tilts his head slightly and starts to shake the camera again.

Grimnir: You see, I don’t care for one moment that you want this title. I am even sure you have a great chance of winning it tonight, I am not a fool. However, I am going to promise you this. I am going to hit you hard with every ladder I can get my hands on! I am going to make you pay for stepping in the ring with me, challenging me to this ridiculous match thinking that you are young and spry and mentally stable enough to handle this without a care. You are wrong!

He let’s go of the camera and starts throwing the ladders back into the cart.

Grimnir: I am going to hit you with this one… And this one… I might even hit you twice with this one just to make a point! Hell, I am even going to hit you with…

He reaches off camera towards the floor, grunting with effort as he holds up a midget dressed in a Grimnir homemade t-shirt.

Grimnir: This guy here, Johnson “Ladder Guy” Wigglethorp!

Wigglethorp: Hello!

He tosses Johnson aside, the dull thud and an exclamation of pain following shortly thereafter.

Grimnir: Rest assured you are going to pay the price. You are going to be in pain, Sinclair! You want to walk into my ring and challenge the monster to a dance, have your dance card ready because I am going to make sure I punch the hell out of it! Come on Ladder Guy! It is time to go!

Grimnir walks over to the cart, kicking it a few times and squealing in a mix of agony and anger before calmly composing himself, grabbing the handles and pushing it towards the entryway.

The Dark RiseMatt Anderson is sat in his office, eyes wide with excitement for the upcoming Pay Per View event. He can almost feel the money lining his pockets, as the door swings open. He stands, worried for Pat Fullam, but the man that appears in the doorway shocks him almost more.

The camera pans around, hoping to reveal the newcomer, but he is shrouded in shadow. The camera makes out a long, jet black trench coat and a golden array of lettering on the cuffs. Matt stutters as the man stpes into the room.

Matt: What the fuck are you doing here?

???: I’m back, Matt. Not only to the sVo, but I’m here for the tape.

Matt reaches for his hair, slightly worried now.

Matt: I.. I don’t have it. The tape, I mean.

The man stays completely calm, but this makes his voice sound even more dangerous, almost assassin-like.

???: You… Don’t have the tape. Where is it?

Matt looks scared now, for real, although he is desperately trying to keep his feelings locked away.

Matt: I-I-I… I gave it to th-the P-police…

The shadowed assassin stays calm, although his eyes flare up, a flash of gold piercing the darkness.

???: So what you’re telling me is… I came all the way to England to get this tape, I came all the way to freakin’ London to kick another ride into shape… and you’re telling me I’m on the run from the fuckin’ police?

Matt nods, biting his lip almost like a girl. He isn’t scared of the man, not really, more scared of what he’s capable of. We hear a siren outside the building, and flashing lights flicker their way through the windows.

Matt: You were no use to me anymore.. you were injured… They paid good money!

The man steps out of the shadows, glancing only once through the windows at the police running into the building. There is a huge cheer from the watching fans as the camera reveals Ethan Rider as the shadowed man. He raises his eyebrows, then moves towards a window, shoving it quickly open and stepping out onto the roof outside it.

Ethan Rider: Know this, Anderson; I’m back, and I will be fighting, police or not.

He gestures to the cop cars surrounding the buiding.

Ethan Rider: As for you, I won’t forget you did this. You will fall, Anderson, and your company with it. But for now…

He sweeps his arm forward in a gracious bow, then smiles his handsome smile.

Ethan Rider: Have a nice night, Boss.

He runs and leaps off the rooftop, dissapearing into the night sky in the blink of an eye. Matt Anderson stares out of the building, gaze searching for his returning employee, but to no avail, at the same moment Cops burst through the door.

Red AlertThe scene heads backstage where two Company agents are making there way through the corridors of power, on their way to relieve two of their colleagues from guard duty at one of the backstage exits.

“Who do you think this masked guy is Thomas?”

The man known as Agent Thomas slowly shakes his head.

Agent Thomas – “Could be anyone, seriously. I have been with the Company a few more years than you and I have seen some seriously strange things in that time. All I got to say to you Stevens is that you need to sit back and enjoy the ride. No one gets one over on the Company, and we will catch him here tonight and find out exactly who he is.”

Agent Stevens nods his head, feeling slightly reassured by his older partner…. until they turn the corner and see the scene at the exit.

Agent Thomas – “This is Thomas here, we need back up and medical to the west exit, and we need it now!”

The two agents sprint forward towards the bloodied scene where two other Company agents lay sprawled on the floor in pain.

SINGLE MATCH
Colt Cooper vs. LimpLadies and Gentlemen by Saliva hits the sound system and there are boos all around for Colt Cooper as his entrance video hits the sVo-Tron. After waiting a few seconds, Colt Cooper appears on the ramp with his normal cocky smile. He positions both of his arms out, tapping his chest taunting the crowd. A spectrum of black and blue strobe lights fill up the arena followed by a down pour of confetti. Colt struts his way to the ring extending his hands to some of his fans, and gives the middle finger to the fans of sVo who don’t like him.

Headstrong by Trapt plays and Limp makes his way to the ring.

The match beings as the ref calls for the bell. Colt doesn’t waste a minute as he runs towards Limp and with a big boot introduces him to the face wash. Limp drops like a stack of potatoes face first onto the canvas. Colt then begins to rip at his shoulders and back, stomping a muddy hole seemingly having no care of stamina or pace.

Colt picks up Limp as he mercifully ends the brutal beat down, only to suplex him straight back onto his head. The crowd cringes as they see this beatdown taking place. Again Cooper picks up Limp, for another suplex. As he lifts him in the air, Limp somehow comes to life and reverses it into a reverse DDT. The crowd sits stunned as both men lay motionless on adjacent sides of the ring. The ref begins to count as each opponent already has movement stirring.

ONE…

TWO…

THREE…

FOUR…

Colt starts to sit up, looking over, he is hit by Limp’s diving kicks. Jumping to his feet, Limp begins to stomp on Cooper. Left, right, left, right, left, right. The barrage of kicks takes a toll on Cooper’s midsection.

Limp, now having the upper hand, begins to understand that he has Cooper in a rough situation. He picks up Colt and sends him flying to the ropes. As he returns, Limp picks up Colt with both arms and slams him with a thunderous back breaker.

Not wasting a minute, Limp slides for the pin.

ONE!

TWO!

The kick out by Colt actually has enough force to practically throw Limp on top of the referee The ref throws him back onto Colt only to be met with knees to the rib of Limp. While he is doubled over, Colt jumps up and sees his opportunity. Retrieving from his fetal position, Colt takes the chance and starts pummeling the life out of Limp. Knees are given to his ribs and punches are thrown to the nose and eyes as Colt unleashes his fury. The dry thuds from his knuckles silence the packed house. Echo’s of his skull being thwarted ring louder than the bell had rung to start this match. Limp drops to his knees but still Colt is not satisfied. Blood starts to squirt with every blow, Colt starts to feel a slight drizzle of Limp’s blood on his shoulder as he smiles and continues.

The crowd begins to boo as the beating goes on, chanting Limp’s name in hopes of sparking some life for the man. Colt screams in triumph as Limp still sits on his knees, looking as if a bomb just went off by him. As Colt flails his arms, blood from his knuckles flies through the air. Limp blindly punches forward, using the battle cry of Colt as his radar. His arrant fist hits Colt straight in the jewels. The crowd erupts into cheers as Limp has finally silenced Colt. Colt drops to his knees, holding his gonads. Finally brought down to Limp’s level, Colt is met with the same punishment Limp has just received.

Rights and lefts seem to fly faster than lightning. Nose, eye, temple, chin, they all get an equal lashing as Limp pummels Colt in the middle of the ring. The match begins to be a story of the ages as the crowd watches Limp throw shots at Colt while both men are on their knees. Limp already bloodied by Colt, Colt beginning to have a mix of Limp and his own blood cover himself. No longer a match, this begins to be survival.

Finally Colt blocks an incoming shot to Limp, bringing one right back at him. Limp throws one back as Colt tilts backwards, but comes back with a left to the chin. Limp, also tilting comes back with a headbutt.

Both men continue to pummel each other. Left, Right, Left, Right. Neither of them tries to block a punch, not even caring about the damage they’ll take. Each is motivated by the humane instinct of making sure the strongest survives. The biggest punch is thrown, Colt lands a doozey as Limp wobbles backwards. Staring across at Colt, blood trickles down Limp’s face. Like a bull, Colt sees red and charges, grabbing a hold of Limp, and delivering an inverted DDT.

Colt climbs to his knees, and looks down at Limp lying in a pool of his own blood. Cooper doesn’t seem to know where he is, as too many blows to the head cloud his mind as what to do next. Somehow the bells click and crawling over to Limp, he falls on top as the ref begins to count…

One…

Two….

Three!

This one is all over, and in an all out war it’s Colt Cooper who manages to pick up the three count! The referee calls for the bell to be rung as Ladies and Gentlemen by Saliva begins to blast over the sound system as the fans cheer the victory by Cooper.

RESULT: Colt Cooper def. Limp via pinfall

The Teacher looks in pain as he tries to struggle up to his feet on the outside of the ring, but as JVD distracts the referee, Lucy Von Drake lands a big kick to the midsection of The Teacher! The crowd boo the blatant cheating, as JVD drops down and rolls out of the ring under the bottom rope.

James Von Drake begins to put the boots into The Teacher on the outside of the ring, as the referee asks both men to take it back into the ring. James Von Drake finally pulls The Teacher up to his feet, but as he does The Teacher counters with a knee to the midsection, before throwing JVD hard into the steel ring steps! The crowd cheer the move from The Teacher, as he grabs hold of JVD and tosses him back into the ring.

JVD looks to be struggling as he is pulled up to his feet by The Teacher, who throws him hard into the corner of the ring. JVD hits the corner hard, before stumbling out holding his back in pain. The Teacher takes the chance to bounce into the ropes, before taking JVD down to the mat with a bulldog takedown! With JVD down on the mat in the corner of the ring, The Teacher makes his way to the top rope! The fans cheer as The Teacher taunts to the crowd, before leaping from the top rope and landing a ‘Top of the Class’ splash onto JVD!

This one looks as if it is going to be all over as The Teacher slowly crawls across his opponent to make the cover, but as he does a man wearing a ‘Teacher’ mask, jeans and a t-shirt comes sprinting down the entrance ramp with a steel chair! The fans rise to their feet to see just who it is, as he rolls into the ring before nailing The Teacher across the back of the head with the steel chair! The fans boo loudly as the referee quickly calls for the bell to throw this one out!

The stranger in the Teacher’s mask rolls out of the ring and makes his way back up the entrance ramp, as JVD and Lucy Von Drake stare back at him with confusion on their faces.

RESULT: No Contest

Boy Do I Have A Surprise For You!“Just who the FUCK do you think you are?”

The tron flickers to life as a camera crew is able to make it back to Matt Anderson’s office. The door cracks open and we see the back of a giant, the one and only “The Coolness” Pat Fullam. He sighs and says.

“Mattie! We’ve been through this! We’ve had a lot of interaction the past couple of weeks and I would HOPE that you know exactly who I am.”

Anderson’s face turns red.

“Stop playing games Fullam! You know what I mean! You made an unauthorized change to your match tonight and I won’t stand for it! And my name isn’t Mattie!”

Fullam laughs as he says.

“Listen, Mattina, YOU made an unauthorized change last time in my match against Weapon X. I’m fighting fire with fire and making sure that you don’t play any messed up games again. I have found a ref that will do everything and anything to make sure that this match stays between Pat Fullam and Weapon X, despite what rule changes you may make. Now if you’ll excuse me I have a match to prepare for.”

Matt stutters for a second before being able to yell out.

“But who did you get?!?!”

Fullam turns around at the door and smiles back at Anderson.

“That is for me to know and you to find out. However, it’s quite obvious that you haven’t done what I suggested when we first met. Do some research, you MIGHT be able to figure it out before the match.”

Pat winks at Anderson before leaving the room.

Family AffairThe scene heads backstage where James Von Drake and Lucy Von Drake are hot in pursuit of the man that just got involved in his match against the Teacher only moments ago. James Von Drake looks livid that for the second PPV in a row, someone has got themselves involved in one of his matches, and he looks determined to find out who it is this time as he grabs hold of the man with the fake Teacher mask by the shoulder and forces them against the wall.

James Von Drake – “What the hell do you think your doing out there you punk? Lucy, rip this guys fucking mask off.”

The man with the fake Teacher mask shakes his head nervously to try and stop the unmasking, but Lucy Von Drake reaches forward and yanks it roughly off of his head. Both JVD and his wife look at the face infront of them for a few seconds, before staggering back in disbelief.

James Von Drake – “Kenny? What the hell are you doing here?”

The man known as Kenny smiles nervously before reaching out to hug JVD. JVD pushes him away and looks back at his wife.

Kenny – “Come on James! I came here to help out my big brother! Where is the harm in that?”

JVD looks sickened as he looks over his brother, as his wife tries to calm him down by tapping his shoulder.

James Von Drake – “Half brother Kenny. You are only my half brother….. This really is no place for you around here man.”

JVD looks embarssed by his half brother Kenny, who in turn looks disappointment at the rejection. However the family feelings are quickly broken up as The Teacher comes running around the corner and straight towards the three Von Drake’s.

James Von Drake – “Quick, lets get the hell out of here and sort out this mess!”

James, Lucy and Kenny Von Drake sprint off down the corridor as The Teacher gives chase, obviously not happy at being screwed out of the win here tonight at Battle of Britain!

sVo LAS VEGAS CHAMPIONSHIP LADDER MATCH
Grimnir (c) vs. Eddie Sinclair”Judith” by A Perfect Circle blasts over the sound system as images of Eddie Sinclair in action are shown on the sVo-Tron. A series of pyrotechnics blast on the stage as Sinclair himself appears, dressed in his ring gear and a leather jacket. He strides down to the ring, pausing at the bottom of the ramp to glance from left to right. The camera follows the turn of his head, revealing his wide smirk and snicker before he climbs inside the ring. He shrugs off his jacket and tosses it to the outside of the ring before backing away into the corner to await the start of the match.

The dulcid tones of Travel Now Journey Infinitely plays up to its crescendo. As the accompanying female voice explodes over the PA system, the houselights of the arena flare to their maximum. As the houselights dim down to normal, the blasting beats of the drums herald Grimnir, who stands at the entrance with a shopping cart filled with ladders as well as one ladder over his shoulder. He starts to walk down towards the ring as the drums force his march and before he reaches the ring he points up to the sky with both fingers, shrugs off the ladder so it hits the floor, slides in and jumps on Sinclair. He starts peppering him with rights as the bell rings.

Sinclair quickly counters the punches and hits a monkey flip on Grimnir, shooting him almost out of the ring entirely. Grimnir is quick to his feet and runs at Sinclair but Sinclair sidesteps the charge and hits a drop toe hold, causing Grimnir to hit his head against the lowest turnbuckle. Sinclair stands up, holds his arms out and smiles as he points to his head, winking at a bystander.

Sinclair rolls out of the ring and grabs the ladder that Grimnir brought down with him, sliding it into the ring. Grimnir stirs a little but still struggles to get to his feet as Sinclair slides in and points at Grimnir. As Grimnir manages to roll over into a sitting position, Sinclair charges with the ladder in an attempt to slam the top step against the prone man. Grimnir rolls out of the way at the last moment, causing the ladder to hit the turnbuckles and spring back a little, though it does nothing to Sinclair.

Sinclair takes a step back and measures up a now stumbling Grimnir in order to clothesline him over the top rope. He charges at Grimnir, who manages to duck under the clothesline and uses Sinclair’s momentum to assist him over the top rope and onto the hard matting below. Sinclair hits with a loud thud as the crowd roars in approval, but Grimnir is not finished. He grabs the top rope and springs over, slamming his body on the prone Sinclair. The move looks like it did more damage to Grimnir though as he rolls from side to side, clutching his midsection in agony.

Sinclair is the first to stand up to his feet, though he is a little groggy. He shakes the cobwebs out of his head and notices that Grimnir is writhing in agony, allowing him to go to the cart of ladders and pull out one of the smaller step ladders. He slams it on the ground a few times to the disapproval of the crowd, lines up his shot and slams the edge of the step ladder against the brace covered knee of Grimnir.

Grimnir howls in pain as his body spasms but Sinclair keeps it up, slamming the edge and then the full body of the ladder against the knee before tossing the now bent carcass aside. Grimnir is still crying in agony as Sinclair casually slides into the ring and poses a little for the fans. The fans react with a loud outburst of jeers but Sinclair eggs them on, causing them to grow louder in their disapproval.

Sinclair picks up the large ladder that he slid in earlier and slowly starts to set it up. He looks at the title belt hanging overhead and measures up where he needs to place the ladder. He nods in approval and starts to climb up the ladder, taking his time in taunting the crowd while he is doing so but he doesn’t notice Grimnir getting to his feet. As Sinclair’s fingers touch the leather strap, Grimnir quickly hobbles up to the cart, grabs two smaller foot stools and throws them blindly at Sinclair. One misses wildly, falling near the announce table while the other one glances off of Sinclair, causing him to lose his balance.

Sinclair struggles to keep his balance as the ladder teeters, which allows Grimnir to hobble quickly to the apron, slide in and push as hard as he can against the ladder. The ladder tips over as Sinclair screams in terror, causing Sinclair to shoot over the top rope and onto the hard matted floor. The crowd now erupts in profane chants as Grimnir falls to his good knee, shaking his head in agony while trying to force himself to his feet. Sinclair is almost completely out of it as he lays on the ground, emitting a body shaking cough every once in a while to show that he is alive.

Grimnir gets up to his feet and slowly hobbles to the fallen ladder, pulling it off of the ropes and setting it upright against them. He then slides out of the ring and grabs the unconscious Sinclair, picking him up to his feet. Grimnir cleans off the nearby table and tosses Sinclair on it, hitting a few hard rights to the forehead to make sure that he stays down. Grimnir then makes his way back into the ring and with great effort due to his injured leg; he climbs to the top of the ladder.

After a few moments of climbing, he lines himself up and jumps. Grimnir flies off of the top of the ladder and hits a massive elbow on Sinclair, causing more profane chants to erupt as the table explodes into pieces. Sinclair is out cold while Grimnir is next to him, his arm draped over Sinclair as his injured leg twitches involuntarily. After what seems like five minutes, the two competitors stir and start to get to their feet with Grimnir actually being the first one up. Grimnir grabs Sinclair and leads him over to the ring but as they reach the apron, Sinclair shoots out a quick elbow to the gut and doubles over his opponent.

Sinclair quickly takes advantage of this chance, grabbing Grimnir and Irish whipping him towards the steel steps. Grimnir cannot avoid the steps even though he tries and slams his injured knee against the steps, causing them to explode from their moorings. Grimnir screams in pain and writhes as he clutches his knee but this only allows Sinclair to walk over and take the top half of the steps, line up Grimnir and attack with them. Grimnir hits a quick legsweep, knocking the feet out from underneath Sinclair which allows the steel steps to fall on the now prone man. Grimnir quickly rolls over and severely hobbles to the previously thrown step stool, reels back and slams it hard against the face of the steps.

The loud clacking sound of metal on metal causes the crowd to erupt in bloodlust as Grimnir hits over and over again until his knee gives out on him. He crumples to the ground but manages to toss aside the stool. There is no sign of movement from Sinclair. Grimnir uses the apron to climb to his feet and hobbles over to his opponent, checking in on him for a moment. Grimnir then hobbles over to the ring and slides in, grabbing the ladder that he just used to hit the massive elbow and setting it up. However, he doesn’t have a good angle on the title and as he slowly climbs up the ladder, the crowd screams out that he is too far away.

Grimnir gets to the second to last rung and starts to reach up but he is clearly five feet away from the title. He shakes his head in disgust and starts to reach out towards the title but to no avail. Grimnir slowly climbs down the ladder and lines it up as best as he can but as he does so, he doesn’t notice that Sinclair has now gotten out from under the steel steps and is staggering over to the cart of ladders. Grimnir turns his back towards Sinclair and starts the slow climb up the ladder again, each step taking almost a minute.

Sinclair slides in with a five foot ladder, gets to his feet, grabs the ladder and slams the top step flush against the kidneys of Grimnir. Grimnir clutches onto the ladder he is on in a desperate attempt but Sinclair keeps hitting him over and over again until Grimnir falls like a sack of potatoes to the mat. Sinclair grabs Grimnir and places him in the proper position, opens up the ladder that he had just dropped and places Grimnir’s arm inbetween the legs. He smiles, points to the crowd and motions with his hands that he is planning on breaking Grimnir’s arm.

Sinclair moves over to the turnbuckles and climbs up them slowly. He reaches the second buckle, turns around and is expecting to jump off and land feet first on the ladder to break his opponent’s arm. Instead what he is greeted with is lefts to the forehead and then a snap frakensteiner to the ladder from Grimnir, landing hard on the ladder that he was just under. Grimnir rolls out of the ring and grabs one of the other larger ladders, sliding it into the ring. Grimnir then grabs the step ladder that Sinclair used at the beginning of the match and slides in with it, stumbling over to the prone Sinclair. Grimnir lines up his shot and slams the dented ladder home against the right knee of Sinclair, who screams and rolls off of the ladder.

Grimnir grabs Sinclair and picks him up to his feet, delivering a surprise headbutt to the forehead of his foe. Sinclair’s head snaps back which allows Grimnir enough slack to hit a monkey flip of his own, slamming Sinclair onto the ladder resting on the mat behind them hard. Sinclair arches his back as his face turns bone white in pain. Sinclair flops to the mat as Grimnir opens up the second large ladder, placing it near where the title is hanging. As Grimnir tries to take a step, he falls to his good knee in agony; clearly the injury is bothering him.

This allows Sinclair the time to crawl his way to the first ladder that was opened, grabbing it like a life preserver. Sinclair spots Grimnir getting up and forces himself to get up to his feet, both on the opposite sides of their perspective ladders. Grimnir climbs up the ladder that is closer to the entrance and the cart of ladders while Sinclair climbs up the ladder closer to the demolished table. Each step take moments, causing the crowd to roar in delight with Sinclair looking as if he is gaining the lead.

Sinclair is the first to reach the near top of his ladder, his fingers brushing up against the title but instead of being able to grab it; his action causes the belt to sway slightly and forces it away from him. As Sinclair takes another step up to attempt a better angle, Grimnir gets to the near top of his ladder and does the same thing, causing the title to sway further. Each man spot each other and how close they are to the title so instead of waiting to see who the arm of fate would sway the title towards, they exchange furious blows to the head while trying to hold onto the ladder for stability.

Sinclair lands his punch first which causes Grimnir’s head to snap back a little and rock his ladder. Grimnir uses that energy to snap out his own punch, slamming Sinclair hard to the head. Sinclair’s head snaps back further, causing his ladder to rock backwards a little more but Sinclair manages to use the momentum to shoot out another hit. Each man exchange these hits at least five more times before the momentum is just too much.

Grimnir shoots out one more hit, this time his entire force behind the punch. Sinclair’s head snaps back too far and causes the ladder to sway too much. Sinclair tries everything in his power to try to stop the ladder from falling but to no avail as he falls towards the destroyed table, falling off quickly and hitting the wrestling mat extremely hard. The mat bounces violently, causing the ladder to wobble with Grimnir on it. As the ladder starts to fall, Grimnir jumps up and grabs the swinging title, holding on for dear life more than trying to win. The body weight is too much for the snaps of the title to hold, causing Grimnir and title to fall to the mat hard. When Grimnir hits the mat, he clutches the title tightly and doesn’t let go, allowing for a definitive decision to be made by the ref.

RESULT: Grimnir def. Eddie Sinclair

Home TurfBackstage at London’s O2 Arena, the smiling but professional visage of sVo’s own reporter extraordinaire, Tamara Boyd. Tamara stands, ready for action, microphone in hand in front of a large sVo banner. Standing beside her are two familiar figures – sVo World Champion Night, the title slung over his shoulder and dressed in his ring attire and standing next to him, his mentor, manager and trainer, Akira Kimura. Night looks very serious, Master Kimura as usual beams cheerfully.

Tamara Boyd: “I’m standing here with sVo World Heavyweight Champion, Night. Night, it’s not often that a defending champion and sVo icon such as yourself goes into a title defense as an underdog – but tonight that seems to be the case. You yourself admit to Roscoe Shame’s talent and natural abilities in the ring and to make matters worse, The Company have stacked the deck against you by appointing your own brother as the special guest referee. Fair to say, the two of you do not have the most brotherly of relationships.”

A grim smile creeps on to Night’s masked face.

Night: “You could say that.”

Tamara Boyd: “How are you feeling going into this match?”

Night: “Surprisingly optimistic.”

Tamara raises an eyebrow out of curiosity.

Tamara Boyd: “Would you care to elaborate?”

They are interrupted as a huge figure passes between the three of them and the camera – ‘The Coolness’ Pat Fullam. Fullam glances at the interview in progress but clearly has his mind on business at hand. Night nods to him, Fullam nods back, extending his fist towards Night who stares at it with a great deal of confusion for a moment before uncertainly bumping it with his own fist drawing a laugh from Pat who turns and continues on his way.

Night: “I have a good ally… a good friend…”

Night indicates the direction ‘The Coolness’ just departed in.

Night: “Pat Fullam, who put himself on the line to act as special guest enforcer tonight. He is a true man of honor. He acts not for him or myself, but he acts to stand up against The Company. With him I feel that ‘Nightmare’s’ participation will be… contained. On top of that, I have the home advantage…”

Tamara Boyd: “… in London?”

Master Kimura interjects, speaking for the first time since the interview started.

Akira Kimura: “I don’t think we need to remind you, Miss Boyd, that the last time sVo presented a pay-per-view event from the O2 Arena it turned out to be one of the biggest and most defining nights of Night’s career. Lets backtrack a moment. May 25th, 2008 – Retribution. On that night he defeated his long-time rival Isaac White for the sVo International Title before going on to pin both Nathan Paradine AND Gunner Lang to win the Organized Chaos match for his team.”

Night: “You might say that I’ve developed an affinity for this place.”

Tamara Boyd: “Let’s hope the O2 is kind to you again.”

Night and Kimura bow their heads, a gesture returned by Tamara as we cut back to ringside.

SINGLE MATCH
Weapon X vs. Pat FullamThe arena goes black and the tron flickers on. In icy blue writing the words,

Lo as I walk through the valley of shadow and death
I fear no evil…
For I am the biggest and baddest guy around.

“Rebirth of Slick (Cool Like Dat)” by Digable Planets starts to play over the sound system. The writing on the tron fades away as blue sparks flare out on the stage. As the sparks die down the one and only “The Coolness” Pat Fullam comes out on stage. The tron flickers to life once again with clips of all of the 7’2″ giant’s time in the ring throughout the various federations he’s been in.

He tosses up the metal head salute as he begins to walk down to the ring to the beat of “Rebirth of Slick.” Making it to the ring he reaches up and grabs the top rope, pulling himself up onto the apron and stepping over the top rope. He swaggers to the center of the ring and tosses his hair back before giving one final metal head salute as the music fades.

Bells ring out around the arena as the lights dim down and the fans rise to their feet in anticipation of witnessing the sight of Weapon X! The guitar chords of “For Whom the Bell Tolls” by Metallica begins to kick in as Weapon X walks slowly down the entrance ramp towards the ring. Weapon X stares straight ahead of him, the eyes behind the mask focused in on his target. Weapon X slowly reaches the ring, before climbing in and preparing to go to war!

Now the moment that everyone in the arena has been waiting for. Who did Fullam get to be special referee? Weapon X stares at Fullam through his mask, only for the giant to signal that he should pay attention to the entrance ramp. Weapon X does so as the lights turn off and the arena goes black.

The first chords of “Give Me Your Pity” by Suicide City rings out over the arena and the tension only mounts. As the music picks up, Jay Rayez, member of Project:Violence and part of a tag team with Fullam named The Xtremists appears at the top of the ramp!

The crowd erupts as the former member of the P:V roster and Pat’s long time friend makes his way down the ramp, his eyes narrowed and focused on the scene in front of him. Pat all smiles in one corner and Weapon X, his red goggles focused on Jay, and then back at Fullam. Jay calls for the bell as “Give Me Your Pity” dies down and the match is underway!

Weapon X runs at Fullam who just swats him down with a single clothesline! It looks like it’s going to be a long night for Weapon X, as Pat picks up his nemesis and delivers a stalling suplex! Pat quickly drops for the cover…

ONE!

TW…

NO! Jay breaks up the count as Weapon X is able to get his shoulder up off the canvas! Pat shrugs and picks Weapon X up again and tosses him into the corner. He backs up, gets a running start and delivers a massive clothesline to the masked menace! Weapon X crumples to the ground as the crowd roars its approval. However, as Pat drops for the pin Weapon X rolls him up in a school boy!

ONE!

NO!

Pat kicks out and Weapon X rolls out of the ring to try and get a breather. Jay begins the count as Pat makes it over to the side of the ring that Weapon X is catching his breather on.

THREE!

Pat grabs Weapon X by the head and picks him up onto the apron! Jay breaks off the count just as Weapon X guillotines Pat’s head off the top rope! Pat springs back into the ring and onto his back as he grasps his neck. If Weapon X wasn’t wearing his mask, we could all be assured that he’d be smiling.

“GET HIM! PIN HIM!”

Matt Anderson comes out on stage with a mic in hand as Weapon X rolls into the ring and over to Pat to make the cover.

ONE!

TWO!

TH…NO!

Pat lifts Weapon X off of him and tosses him aside! What a display of strength from the giant! Pat gets up massaging his neck just as Weapon X goes on the offense with lefts and rights aimed for the giant’s head! That’s when Jay gets involved saying that Weapon X can’t use closed fists. Weapon X shoves Jay away. Jay’s face goes red in an instant as he takes Weapon X down from behind with an inverted DDT! Pat looks down in shock as Jay shrugs and motions for Pat to continue on. Pat delivers boot after boot to every section of Weapon X that he can find as Matt Anderson looks like he’s about to spit nails!

“NO! This isn’t how this is going down! I know you wanted a piece of him earlier on! GET DOWN THERE!”

With that BBD comes running down to the ring with a steel chair in hand. He circles the outside of the ring as The Xtremists shoot glances at him. BBD acts like he’s about to get in and Pat chases him away, allowing for Weapon X to hit the giant from behind with a full nelson slam! It’s Weapon X’s turn to show off his strength as he drags Fullam away from the ropes and Jay is forced to count the pin!

ONE!

TWO!

THREE!

NO! Pat kicks out at the last second as Weapon X wastes little time in locking in a camel clutch submission!

“Take out the special referee Bobby!”

Anderson screams into his mic just as BBD slides in behind Jay and smacks him over the head with the chair! Jay crumples to the ground and BBD starts laying into Fullam’s back with kicks as Weapon X only increases the pressure! The two Company cohorts are too concerned with keeping the giant down that Jay has begun to stir.

Fullam’s face starts to turn red but not because of the pressure that Weapon X has started to apply to Fullam’s neck and back. Not because of the kicks that BBD has tossed the giant’s way. But because Fullam has slowly begun to stand up with Weapon X on his back! Finally Fullam makes it to his feet and drops down to his back sandwiching Weapon X between the mat and the 320 pounds that Fullam’s frame carries! Weapon X releases the hold just as “The Dark Shadow” Jay Rayez clotheslines BBD out of the ring! Jay follows, his face contorted with rage, ignoring the fact that the two competitors in the ring are for the moment down for the count!

BBD struggles to stand up to Jay Rayez, only to be met with a hard right from Jay Rayez! BBD stumbles backwards and doubles over the barrier in between the announce tables. Jay moves to turn him around only for BBD to poke him in the eye! Furious BBD yells for the ring announcer to stand up and give him his chair which he does. BBD slams it shut and advances on Jay who looks up just in time to see BBD swinging the chair at him!

BBD brings the chair down, full force, only for Jay Rayez to duck underneath! BBD turns only for Jay Rayez to dropkick the chair right into the face of BBD! The Beautiful One stumbles back and Jay drops him with a DDT! BBD is out cold as Jay picks him up once again and sets him up on the announce table! The Xtremist grabs a ladder from under the ring and slides inside the ring with it where Fullam lays Weapon X out with a massive piledriver! He looks up just as Jay climbs the ladder, and points down at BBD. With that Jay leaps off the ladder twisting in midair and landing on BBD with a swanton bomb, a move he calls The Dark Shadow! They both crash through the table as Fullam looks awestruck. Slowly though he shakes his head and turns his attentions back to Weapon X, who, isn’t where he left him…

Fullam turns, only for Weapon X to leap off the turnbuckle and smack Fullam over the head with the same chair that BBD used on Jay Rayez! Fullam stumbles backwards, and into the ropes and Weapon X rolls out of the ring, looking underneath it for…YES! He found it! He holds up the lead pipe and enters the ring with it as Fullam is still trying to shake the cobwebs out from the vicious chair shot! Blood is oozing from Fullam’s head as Weapon X saunters up to the half fallen giant!

Weapon X kicks Fullam’s legs out from under him and the giant falls to the mat as Weapon X starts to lay into Fullam with shots from the lead pipe straight to his head! Fullam tries to push him away only for Weapon X to come back on the prowl. Fullam tries to push him away again only for Weapon X to come back at the giant!

Finally Weapon X outsmarts the giant and tangles the giant’s arms in the ring ropes! The Coolness is helpless as Weapon X raises the lead pipe! He swings the pipe down only for his arm to be caught by Jay Rayez! Jay takes the pipe from Weapon X and in the blink of an eye smacks Weapon X upside the head with it! Jay untangles Fullam and lets him fall to the side. The ref of this match shrugs as he looks at both participants and starts the ten count!

ONE!

Pat begins to stir, pulling himself up with aid of the ropes. He looks down at his chest covered in blood. He puts his hands up to his head, which of course is covered in the proverbial crimson mask. He snarls and Fullam actually roars as he runs over to Weapon X and starts laying into him with straight right after straight right! Jay stops the giant only for Pat to spring up and roar! It appears that The Coolness has just lost his cool…

Pat picks Weapon X up by the throat and powerbombs Weapon X right into the set up ladder! In a sickening display Weapon X’s head bounces off the steel of the ladder and then the masked Company hitman bounces to the mat. The ladder rocks back and forth, not making up its mind until….

CRASH!

The ladder topples on top of Weapon X! Fullam isn’t done here though as he tosses the ladder aside and picks Weapon X up again by the throat and delivers a Crippling Cool! Not once, not twice, but three times! Weapon X is out cold as his body rolls limply to the mat. Fullam isn’t done there as he picks up the limp body of Weapon X one more time, faces Matt Anderson, and with amazing strength lifts Weapon X up and delivers a vicious Coolness Factor right on top of the ladder!

Weapon X’s head bounces off the steel of the ladder as Pat makes the pin, keeping his eyes on the pale white face of Matt Anderson.

ONE!

The Coolness has done it! Pat Fullam has beaten Weapon X!

RESULT: Pat Fullam def. Weapon X via pinfall

The Man Behind the Mask“Cool Like Dat” by Diggable Planets blares over the loud speaker as Pat Fullam and Jay Rayez shake hands and Jay departs the ring. Fullam however isn’t done. Matt and Jay stare at each other before Jay exits through the stage as Fullam gets on a mic, his voice tired as he keeps spitting the blood out of his mouth.

“Did you see that Anderson?!?! Do you NOW understand what you’ve gotten yourself into? You could have just given me Paige Johnson, but no, you had to drag me into your little war games. Look at ‘Not So Beautiful’ Bobby Dean! Huh? Do you see what happened to him? Bet he won’t be asking who Jay Rayez anymore, that’s for sure!”

Pat stumbles over to where Weapon X is still laying on top of the ladder.

“You see what I did to your ‘secret’ weapon? A man so scary that his only name is ‘Weapon X?’ Yeah, real intimidating Anderson. Let’s see how intimidating your man is without his mask…”

With that Fullam bends down and yanks the mask off of Weapon X to reveal….

JOHN BECK!

There is a mixed reaction from the fans as the mask is pulled off by Pat Fullam to reveal the face of the former special forces solider, who has before graced the rings of federations such as Hostility and DREAM in recent years. Pat Fullam looks down at the broken body of John ‘Weapon X’ Beck, before leaving the ring with a smirk on his face.

sVo INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP TRIPLE THREAT MATCH
Bobby Dean (c) vs. Isaac White vs. Rey RosarioSTAMP!

CLAP!

STAMP!

CLAP!

STAMP!

CLAP!

The audience stomp their feet and clap their hands in rhythm with the introduction of “God’s Gonna Cut You Down” by Johnny Cash. The melancholic chords of an acoustic guitar reverberate throughout the arena, soon joined by the baritone vocals of Cash.

You can run on for a long time
Run on for a long time
Run on for a long time
Sooner or later God’ll cut you down
Sooner or later God’ll cut you down

The entrance curtains slowly part as the hunched figure of Isaac White emerges. Although he may be far from a traditional ‘fan favourite’, the spectators instantly begin to cheer for him in recognition of his lengthy career. Despite the energy of the crowd, still stamping and clapping enthusiastically, Isaac retains a distinctively passive demeanour. Though it should have quite the opposite effect, the sight of this miserable and pessimistic man only further fuels the crowd’s excitement as they continue to join in with the downbeat rhythm of “God’s Gonna Cut You Down”.

Go tell that long tongue liar
Go and tell that midnight rider
Tell the rambler, the gambler, the back biter
Tell ’em that God’s gonna cut ’em down
Tell ’em that God’s gonna cut ’em down

White marches forth towards the ring, hat pulled down low and cane in hand. He ignores the two-faced liars and rats in the crowd, his nose crinkling at the stench of hypocrisy. He taps his cane on the steel steps three times before slowly ascending them. He then walks onto the ring apron, wiping his feet as he does so, before climbing in through the ropes.

Once in the ring, “God’s Gonna Cut You Down” begins to fade. White removes his hat and places it on top of the turnbuckle post. He then stoops over and leans through the ropes to prop his cane against the stairs. Resuming his stance in the corner, he reaches inside his left knee pad, withdrawing his trademark black gloves. He proceeds to pull them onto each hand slowly, milking the crowd’s excitement for all they’re worth. White leans back against the ropes, maintaining an apathetic approach to things.

Last Resort sounds and Rey comes out completely ignoring the crowd. He enters underneath the bottom rope and sits down on the corner awaiting the match to start.

and a baby blue spotlight is shown at the top of the entrance ramp. BBD comes out to a chorus of boos in his baby blue Ric Flair-esque robe that is covered in sparkling diamonds. He struts his way down the entrance ramp refusing to touch the out stretched hands of fans at ringside. Walking up the steel steps, he wipes his feet off before stepping into the ring. Walking over to his corner he proceeds to remove his robe and warm up for the upcoming match.

The referee raises the belt high in the air, signaling that it is on the line tonight. He calls for the bell to be rung, and White and BBD leap at each other’s throats, Rey Rosario standing off slightly! BBD knocks White to the ground, and Rosario seizes his opportunity, tackling BBD from behind and chopping him to the ground! Rosario picks BBD up and lifts him for A reverse atomic drop! BBD clutches his groin and Rosario hits the International Champion with a two footed dropkick, sending him sprawling, already off balance! White tries to roll Rosario up for an early win, but Rey rolls through, sending a sharp buzzsaw kick straight into White’s jaw! There is a ‘smack’ as White’ pain ricochets around the arena! White collapses down to the mat and Rey raises both arms in the air, drawing a pop from the crowd, although sight boos from the White fans!

BBD squares off with Rosario, and the two engage in a fierce lock-up, BBD overpowering Rey, perhaps just with sheer determination. BBD twists into a headlock, and then gets a running bulldog takedown! White runs at him, but BBD quickly pulls him into a hip toss, shifting his balance so White is flipped straight onto Rey! BBD kicks at White, lifting him up and sending him head-first into the turnbuckle! Rosario makes it to his feet and runs at BBD, but BBD knees him in the gut and sends him head first into White’s groin, the latter of the men still resting on the turnbuckle! Rey, disgusted, backs away from White, but BBD picks him up with a huge Back Suplex! White moves towards BBD, only for BBD to attempt the Starstruck!

White lifts him high, reversing the starstruck, and slams him down hard! White launches at Rosario, backing him to the opposite turnbuckle with hard chops right across the chest! White kicks him in the gut and pulls him down with a snapmare! White kicks him in the back, then lifts him up for a big German suplex, dropping Rosario on his neck!! White stomps Rosario, pushing him out of the ring! BBD runs at White, but White lifts him up, flinging him over the top rope so he planchas onto Rey! White rolls to ringside, smirking at his two fallen opponents. He lifts up BBD, whipping him towards the security barrier, but BBD leaps over it, waiting for White to whip Rey towards him!

White does so, unaware of BBD’s plan, and BBD sends a fist straight up into the space between Rey’s jaw and throat! Rey chokes up, dropping to the floor, and BBD vaults the barrier, landing on Rey with a leg drop! White charges him, but BBD leapfrogs White, and Isaac White charges straight THROUGH the security barrier, his shoulder crunching upon impact! BBD laughs at Isaac’s pain, and Rey takes advantage, pulling the ‘Beautiful One’ down for a snap neckbreaker! Rey rolls BBD in-ring, going to the top rope and leaping off with a senton drop! Rey goes for the cover, International title in his sights!

1…

2…

Kickout!

BBD kicks out, irritating Rosario, who hauls him to his feet, whipping BBD to the ropes and as he returns, lifting him up for a snap flapjack! Rosario drops to the mat, pulling BBD into a modified chickenwing! BBD struggles, flapping about, not particularly elegantly, but Rosario keeps the chickenwing cinched in tight! BBD rolls onto his back, the submission still locked in, but now pinning Rosario!

1..

2..

Rey pulls the arm back even further, and BBD screams out, releasing the pinfall, and wrenching his arm away from Rosario! He falls to his knees in the corner, nursing his injured arm. Rosario dives in with a buzzsaw kick, but BBD senses it coming from behind him and ducks, Rosario’s foot becoming stuck in the ropes! BBD takes advantage, pummeling Rosario with kicks and punches! Rosario drops to the mat, but his foot is still attached to the rope and he is unable to move, so BBD continues to rain down kicks! Suddenly, Isaac White pulls Rosario from the ring, also pulling BBD’s feet away, so he smacks his head on the canvas! White hip tosses BBD onto the announcers table, sending a fist into Rosario’s face, and then hoisting him up for the Torture Rack Backbreaker! But Rosario dodges down out of it and connects with a European Uppercut! White falls onto the announce table, lying next to BBD!

Rosario hops up to the apron, favouring his right leg, and dives off for a body splash! BBD rolls off the table, but Rosario crashses through it, taking White with him! BBD acts quickly, pulling White to his feet and rolling him into the ring! BBD bounces up and down, taunting White and begging him to get up! White does so, and BBD strikes, connecting with the Starstruck!!

The crowd boo the huge move from Bobby Dean, as the International Champion grabs hold of Isaac White and pulls him to the ring, before rolling him in under the bottom rope. Isaac White looks down and out as Bobby Dean slingshots himself into the ring over the top rope onto his opponent. With Isaac White down and hurting, Bobby Dean wastes no time in making the cover.

One….

Two….

NO!

Isaac White doesn’t look like kicking out in 100 years, but Rey Rosario makes the save by pull Bobby Dean out of the ring! There is a mixed reaction from the crowd as Bobby Dean stumbles up to his feet, only to be nailed over the head with a steel chair shot from Rey Rosario! Bobby Dean looks to have been busted wide open, as Rey Rosario makes his way into the ring! Rosario pulls up the heavy Isaac White, before slamming him back down to the mat with ‘Rey’s DDT’! Rosario then rolls over Isaac White and hooks the leg of the Company member.

One…

Two…..

Three!

We have a new International Champion, and Bobby Dean has lost his title despite not being pinned! Bobby Dean looks like a bloodied mess on the outside of the ring, as the referee presents Rey Rosario with his International Championship belt, which he raises high above his head in victory!

RESULT: Rey Rosario def. Isaac White & Bobby Dean via pinfall

s
Future PlansBackstage at London’s O2 Arena – sVo’s adopted home in the United Kingdom – we find ourselves in a very modern looking locker room. The room is small, but quite comfortable looking. The only two inhabitants, sVo World Champion Night and his mentor Akira Kimura sit silently, the masked wrestler seemingly in a state of deep concentration for the upcoming title defense. A single loud bang on the door snaps both men’s heads up in anticipation. A second louder bang accompanies the door swinging open, crashing heavily into the wall and bouncing back towards the frame. Only, it is prevented from slamming into the doorframe by a hand.

Night and Kimura shoot to their feet as the smirking masked face of the champion’s brother, Nightmare peers into the room. He steps in uninvited, shutting the door silently behind him.

Nightmare: “Knock knock.”

Akira Kimura: “You never cease to amaze me with your seemingly endless talent for shaming yourself, Ryuu. If you had that much ability in the ring we presumably not be in our current situations.”

Nightmare: “Save the insults, ‘Master’.

He sneers the word “Master” – as if it almost pains him to speak it.

Night: “What do you want, Ryuu? Haven’t you done enough?”

Nightmare stalks into the room, his own fury seemingly instantly rising as he approaches his brother, standing only inches from his face.

Nightmare: “You have no idea, Akumu. We have not even begun. You have shamed and disrespected me time and again. I have lost everything – I can no longer return to Kyoto… because of you. I will destroy you, brother.”

Night: “You’ve tried before – you failed.”

Nightmare: “And you forget that perseverance is one of my strong suits! I failed once, and this time I will not. It’s true, I wish I were to be the one to capture your beloved title as my own trophy – I still take great pleasure that I will be the one to pry it from your fingers and hand it to another.”

The younger Miyamoto clenches his jaw, his own anger visible.

Night: “Not if Fullam has anything to say about it.”

Nightmare cackles maniacally, throwing his head back with the hilarity of his brother’s words.

Nightmare: “You fool. You think a ‘special guest enforcer’ is going to do a damn thing to help you? I’m the REFEREE. I call the match. I call the shots! You understand me? You are through! The age of Night is over!

Practically salivating, Nightmare seethes, panting.

Nightmare: “But that’s not the end. I came here tonight to tell you what’s in store. I was going to wait until after you lose, to add insult to injury – to pour salt into the fresh, deep wounds. But no… this is too much to bare. I have to tell you now.

Night: “What?”

Night spits the question at his brother and a few spittles even can be seen flying from his mouth as he does.

Nightmare: “My deal with The Company – as I have already informed you – entitles me to any match I want with you, whenever I want it. So, after you lose that title tonight to Roscoe Shame… next month at Roll the Dice – you and I will meet in a Barbed Wire Rope, Japanese Glass Deathmatch!”

Nightmare can’t seem to control himself and bursts into the loud and uncontrolled laughter of a man recently unbalanced. Kimura and Night exchange a concerned and serious glance before both return their gaze to Nightmare.

Night: “Very well. I think you should go, Ryuu – or you may get your desired match sooner than that.”

Nightmare backs up with mock concern.

Nightmare: “Have it your way, I was enjoying catching up with family. We should really do this more often.”

He turns, grabbing hold of the doorknob, turning it and opening the door. He pauses as he steps through the threshold, turning back to Night and Kimura and grinning cockily once more.

Nightmare: “See you in the ring… ‘champ’.”

Bursting with laughter once more he exits, slamming the door shut after him as we cut back to ringside.

sVo Roll the Dice 2010
7th November 2010
The sVo Returns to the Goodfellas Casino Arena, Las Vegas

A Higher PowerBattle of Britain heads backstage where the former S.A.S solider John Beck is sitting in the office of Matt Anderson, nursing the wounds he received during his earlier battle with Pat Fullam. Beck doesn’t look to be in the best of moods, and his face turns to thunder as Matt Anderson forces his way into the room.

Matt Anderson: “What the fuck do you think you are doing in here? You couldn’t get the job done against Pat Fullam, you should have walked away in disgrace! I don’t care who you are or what you have done in the past….”

Anderson is suddenly cut off as Beck leaps to his feet and grabs hold of Anderson by the throat. Beck forces Anderson back against the wall by the throat, and the Company man struggles to breath.

John Beck: “Listen to me you prick. I have been here since the start taking orders from you and hiding behind that mask, and I am sick and tired of it. I answer to people a lot higher in the Company than you, just a little something for you to think about….”

Beck releases his grip on Anderson’s throat, who stumbles away trying to inhale.

Matt Anderson: “What the hell do you think you are doing? I will have you thrown out of here for that!”

Beck looks at Anderson for a few seconds before letting out a small laugh.

John Beck: “Trust me Anderson. You might think you are one of the top dogs in the Company, but the reality is you are just middle management. And middle management is easily replaced when things start going wrong….”

Beck pushes past Matt Anderson with his warning ringing in the ears of the sVo manager.

sVo WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
Night (c) vs. Roscoe Shame

SPECIAL GUEST REFEREE
Nightmare

SPECIAL GUEST ENFORCER
Pat Fullam

The fans are almost nervous in anticipation for this one, with the long awaited Night vs. Roscoe Shame World Championship match up next! With the Company trying to take the title from Night ever since he won it nearly five months ago and even beating him within an inch of his life last week, will Night be able to pull out another win and continue his record breaking run as World Champion? Or will the man from Kalamazoo, Mr International Roscoe Shame recognise his potential as a future World Champion and finally pick up the big one?

The arena lights fade and a red light begins to slowly strobe as “March of the Pigs” by Nine Inch Nails pounds through the arena over the PA system. The crowd burst into a loud chorus of boos as The Company logo floats onto the sVo tron, quickly replaced by a name.

“N I G H T M A R E”

The curtains part and a man in a referees shirt with red trunks with a black streak down the side and a black mask cut away at the top to reveal a freshly shaved head of hair. He half-grins/half-sneers at the jeering audience surrounding him and wastes little time in stalking down the entrance ramp before quickly sliding under the bottom rope and into the ring. He stands, jawing off at various members of the crowd as he awaits the start of the match.

The arena goes black and the tron flickers on.

The special guest enforcer swaggers to the center of the ring and tosses his hair back before giving one final metal head salute as the music fades.

“Rebirth” by Lil Wayne hits and Roscoe Shame appears at the top of the ramp pretending to play the guitar. The fans stand and cheer at the mockery he is making of himself. He makes his way to the ring while pyros shoot out from the ramp. He climbs into the ring stretches and awaits his opponent.

A whisper…

“I’m dreaming…”

The distant chords of Deftones’ “Knife Party” cut through the PA as the arena lights cut completely. The Tron sparks to life as the words “I’m dreaming…” float onto it. As the song errupts the words are replaced by one.

A name.

” N I G H T “

An explosion of purple light as a man in a black mask appears. At least, the mask appears black at first, but on closer inspection it appears to be made of the night sky. The mask does not entirely cover the man’s head and a head of black dreadlocks stream out, tracing the man’s jaw.

The man stands at the top of the entrance ramp – motionless for a moment, his stance elegant and mysterious, giving away nothing of his motives. As the music swirls away, the man only known as Night begins his walk to the ring – only, he doesn’t walk, it appears more of a graceful glide. Although he moves seemlessly, he moves deceptively quickly to the ring, sliding deliberately and headfirst into the ring.

The fans cheer as Night the sVo World Champion stares across the ring at the challenger Roscoe Shame, who stares straight back at him. In the middle of the ring Nightmare looks to be enjoying his role of official, whilst Pat Fullam lurks on the outside of the ring ready to start ‘enforcing’ at the first sign of trouble. Nightmare grabs the sVo World Championship belt off of the shoulder of Night, who prompts some boos from the crowd, as he raises it in the air to signal that it will be on the line in tonight’s epic main event match up. Nightmare passes the belt to the outside of the ring, before calling for the bell to be rung. There is a huge cheer from around the crowd as one of the most anticipated PPV main events for years get underway!

Roscoe Shame and Night slowly move towards each other, and begin to circle around each other in the middle of the ring, feeling each other out. Night is the first to dive in and try and grab hold of Roscoe Shame, but the challenger side steps the champion, and uses his superior reach advantage to hit Night in the side of the head with a big right hand. Night staggers backwards, before his arm is quickly grabbed by Roscoe Shame. Shame whips Night hard into the ring ropes, before taking him down to the mat with a big boot to the face as he bounces back. Despite Roscoe Shame being a member of the Company, it seems that many of the sVo fans are actually behind him in this match up, as he follows up with a double axe handle smash to the back of Night’s head as the Champion pulls himself up from the mat.

Night stumbles forward, and Roscoe Shame grabs him by the back of the hair. Roscoe Shame tries to slam Night head first into the turnbuckle, however the man that has held the sVo World Championship belt for longer than anyone in it’s history, manages to block the move, and shake off Shame with a few back elbows to the throat of his opponent. Roscoe Shame staggers away, and Night follows up by bouncing back off of the ropes and then nailing Roscoe Shame with a running dropkick to his knees. The move takes Shame down to the mat, and Night follows up with some big stomps to the body of Roscoe Shame in an attempt to try and wear him down. Nightmare looks to be watching carefully from his position as referee, as Night shoots him a weary glance, before pulling Roscoe Shame up to a standing position.

Night lays into the challenger with some stiff chops across the chest with ring out around the arena. The crowd cheer the big chops as they back Roscoe Shame into the corner of the ring. Night then takes a few steps back, before launching himself at Shame in the corner and landing a big body splash to his opponent. Roscoe Shame stumbles out of the corner, and Night quickly grabs hold of him to take him down to the mat with a snap suplex. With Roscoe Shame down on the mat, Night quickly grams hold of him and locks in an arm bar submission hold to try and wear down his opponent, and possibly injure his arm to stop him attempting a ‘Shame Time’ later in the match.

Nightmare makes a half hearted attempted to ask Shame if he would like to quit, but the big man shakes his head anyway, despite the ring general Night cranking up the pressure on the submission attempt. Pat Fullam stares at the action from his position on the outside of the ring, as Night tries to break the arm of Roscoe Shame! Night continues to apply the pressure, however his grip then begins to weaken as Roscoe Shame begins to use his huge strength advantage to pull his arm back away from Night! The fans actually cheer as Roscoe Shame frees himself from the move, and pushes Night away! Roscoe Shame stumbles up to his feet holding his arm in pain, and before he can attempt any type of offence on the World Champion, Night is straight back on the attack with a spinning heel kick to the face of Roscoe Shame which knocks him in the corner of the ring.

Night shoots an un-trusting glance towards his brother who patrols around the ring, as he runs at Roscoe Shame and catches him with a big clothesline in the corner of the ring. Shame’s dreams of becoming a World Champion seem to be fading fast as Night pulls him out of the corner of the ring, and slams him down to the ring with a ¾ facelock bulldog! With Roscoe Shame down on the mat, the World Champion Night quickly rolls over him and makes the cover!

One…

Two….

NO!

Nightmare seemed to have made a fair count under the watchful eye of Pat Fullam, but Roscoe Shame managed to kick out after the count of two, to avoid throwing away his dream of walking out of London tonight as the new World Champion. Night rises back up to his feet and gets a big cheer from the fans as he walks around the ring looking at Roscoe Shame as he tries to pull himself up. Roscoe Shame finally reaches a standing position, and Night sprints towards him looking to hit a cross body splash on the big man, however Roscoe Shame catches Night in mid air! The fans cheer for the huge show of strength from the challenger, who then proceeds to throw Night backwards with a fall-a-way slam, which causes Night to roll right out of the ring under the bottom rope! Night looks to be hurt as he tries to pull himself up to a standing position, as Roscoe Shame climbs over the top rope and to the floor below. Nightmare seems happy to let both men take it outside the ring, as Roscoe Shame uses his strength to pick up Night, before dropping him down across the security barrier!

Night rolls around on the floor in pain holding his midsection, as Roscoe Shame begins to stomp away on the World Champion. Pat Fullam keeps an eye on the action from a safe distance, as Roscoe Shame grabs hold of Night by the hair, and pulls him to his feet. Night looks groggy, as Roscoe Shame loads him up onto his shoulder, before running forward and slamming him head first into the ring post! Night might have been knocked out cold there by Roscoe Shame, as the crowd seem to cheer the impressive moves from the man from Kalamazoo. Roscoe Shame taunts to the crowd, as he makes his way towards Night, before picking him up. Roscoe Shame lifts Night into the air in a military press slam, and tosses Night back into the ring over the top rope! The fans cheer the impressive strength from Shame, who himself climbs back into the ring.

Roscoe Shame continues in his slow methodical style to pick off Night with big right hands as he tries to get to his feet, before finally dragging him up and tossing him into the corner of the ring. With Night prone in the corner, Roscoe Shame repeatedly slams his elbow into the side of the Champions face. Night staggers out of the corner, but Roscoe Shame is quickly onto Night, as he pulls him into the air before tossing him to the mat with a stiff spinebuster! With Night down on the mat and hurting, Roscoe Shame drops down and hooks the leg….

One….

Two…

No!

That count seemed a touch on the fast side from Nightmare, but Night managed to get a shoulder up off of the mat just in time to save his World Championship belt. Shame doesn’t look too happy with the fast count, and neither does Pat Fullam who makes his feelings known from the outside of the ring. Back in the ring Roscoe Shame grabs hold of Night, and pulls him up to a standing position. Roscoe Shame knees Night in the midsection and positions him for a piledriver. However before he can execute the move, Night counters with a big back body drop onto the challenger! The fans pop for the move as Roscoe Shame struggles back up to his feet, not knowing what just happened, as Night leaps to the corner of the ring. Shame then finds himself back down onto the mat, as Night back flips off of the top rope onto the challenger!

Night stumbles up to his feet and gets a big pop from the crowd, as he makes his way towards the opposite corner of the ring! Night leaps up onto the top rope, before flying in the direction of Shame, and taking him out with a KIMURA Fistdrop! The fans pop for the signature move of the sVo Champion, but he seems to have come off badly in the move as well as both Night and Roscoe Shame lay on the mat in pain! Nightmare doesn’t seem sure what to do, before suddenly boos begin to ring our around the arena as Matt Anderson appears on the top of the entrance ramp with five Company agents either side of him! Spotting him immediately, Pat Fullam walks around and positions himself between the agents and the ring, but Anderson sends the Company agents down to the ring anyway!

Both Night and Roscoe Shame seem completely unaware of what is going on outside the ring as Pat Fullam grabs the first two Company agents around the throat, before nailing them with a double chokeslam on the steel entrance ramp! Fullam then runs through the next set of agents with some clotheslines, before the numbers game begins to take it’s toll! As Fullam brawls with the ten men outside the ring, Nightmare takes his change as he grabs hold of Night, and pulls him to his feet! The fans in the arena boo loudly as Nightmare positions his brother, and then locks in the ‘Nightmare Sleeper’! Night looks to be struggling under the death grip from the special guest referee for the night, as Roscoe Shame slowly rises to his feet. The crowd continue to boo the situation, until suddenly Roscoe Shame springs forward and pulls his Company team mate off of Night!

Nightmare questions what the hell Roscoe Shame is doing, as the pair stare each other down. Nightmare then walks forward and pushes Roscoe Shame, and the fans cheer as Shame pushes him back! Nightmare then nails Roscoe Shame with a right hand, which does not go down well with the challenger, as he nails Nightmare with a knee to the midsection, before drilling him in the middle of the ring with the ‘Shame Time’! The fans pop the finishing move from Shame, whom it seems wants to win this one fair and square! On the outside of the ring it looks as if Pat Fullam is winning the battle against the Company agents despite being out numbered ten to one, and the giant quickly turns his attention towards Matt Anderson! The sVo manager runs at the giant Pat Fullam gives chase!

The attention turns back to the ring where Night pulls himself up to a standing position in the corner of the ring, as Roscoe Shame grabs hold of Nightmare and rolls him out under the bottom rope. There is a cheer from the crowd as Roscoe Shame turns around, and catches the eye of the sVo World Champion Night. The sVo World Champion Night stares straight back at the challenger, with the atmosphere in the 02 Arena now tingling with electricity.

Forget the Company, forget Matt Anderson, forget Nightmare, forget the Masked Man, forget Pat Fullam…. All that is left at ringside is the World Champion Night, the challenger Roscoe Shame, and the sVo World Championship belt.

Both men nod to each other from across the ring, before once again the action springs back into life as both men meet in the middle of the ring with right hands. The crowd are on their feet as each men trades rights with the other, putting everything they have into every punch. Roscoe Shame slowly gains the upper hand in the first fight, before grabbing hold of Night and taking him down to the mat with a German suplex. With Night on the mat, Roscoe Shame tries to lock in the figure four leg lock, however Night quickly counters with a boot to the backside of Shame to knock him away. Night springs back up to his feet, and drops to the floor to avoid the on rushing Roscoe Shame. Shame doubles back and runs at Night again, but Night rolls away, before leaping to his feet and nailing Shame with a jumping kick to the back of his head.

Roscoe Shame stumbles forward, before turning around and being grabbed by the World Champion. Night takes down Roscoe Shame with an over the shoulder arm drag takedown, before quickly getting back to his feet! The fans in turn rise to their feet, as they know what is coming next as Night slowly walks around the ring stalking Shame as he tries to get up. Roscoe Shame finally reaches a standing position, and there is an explosion of cheers as Night executes the ‘The Dreaming’ on Roscoe Shame! This one is surely all over as Night rolls across his challenger and hooks the leg of Mr International!

….

There is a pause as a referee quickly sprints down the entrance ramp from the backstage area and rolls into the ring.

ONE….

TWO….

THR…..

NO!

Roscoe Shame gets a shoulder up after 2 and 9/10s of a second, and this one continues! Night cant quite believe that he didn’t win that one there and then, as he pulls himself back up to his feet, before pulling Shame up to a standing position. Night nails Roscoe Shame with some big elbow smashes to the face to knock him back into the corner of the ring, before irish whipping him corner to corner. Shame hits the corner of the ring hard, and as he stumbles out of the corner of the ring, Night nails him down to the mat with a massive Sandman DDT! The fans cheer the signature move from Night, as he rises back up to his feet, and looks towards the corner of the ring.

The anticipation in the arena rises up another notch, as Night slowly begins to climb to the top rope in the corner of the ring, before turning out to face the crowd. Night looks over at the fans packed into the 02 arena, before leaping from the top rope looking for a ‘SSP’ onto Roscoe Shame, which would surely bring an end to this match…. however Roscoe Shame rolls out of the way just in time, causing Night to misfire and hit the mat face first! Night rolls around in agony as Roscoe Shame staggers back to his feet. Roscoe Shame quickly makes his way over to Night, and pulls the most dominating Champion in sVo history to his feet, before nailing him with a backbreaker.

Night looks as if he is showing the signs of the Company beat down he suffered on the last episode of Showdown, as he struggles to pull himself up to a standing position. Roscoe Shame follows up with a big Northern Light’s suplex without a bridge, before taunting to the fans for the end! The fans rise to their feet thinking they are about to see the crowning of a new Champion, as Shame grabs Night and positions him for the ‘Shame Time’! Roscoe Shame uses his massive strength advantage to pull Night into the air for the ‘Shame Time’, but just when it looks as if we are going to have a new sVo World Champion, Night counters with a huricanrana!

Roscoe Shame staggers up to his feet in shock at the counter from Night, and he quickly runs at the Champion. However Night ducks out of the way of Shame’s attempted clothesline, and takes him down to the mat with a tired German suplex. Shame begins to rise to his feet, but Night bounces into the ring ropes and lands a diving dropkick into the face of the challenger! Night looks to be taking back control of the match as he pulls Roscoe Shame up and begins to chop him across the chest! Roscoe Shame staggers backwards, but Night grabs hold of him in a ‘Dream Time’!

It could be all over right here if Roscoe Shame can’t escape from this move as Night tries to get it full locked in, before squeezing the life out of the challenger! Roscoe Shame looks to be struggling with all he has to get out of it, and just when it looks as if Night has the move locked in, Roscoe Shame suddenly reaches behind and powers Night into the air! Night doesn’t know what is happening, as Shame lifts him high into the air, before slamming him down to the mat with a modified ‘Shame Time’! The fans pop for the massive finishing move from Roscoe Shame, who makes the cover on Night!

ONE!!!

….

TWO!!!

….

THREE!!!

This one is all over, and we have a new sVo WORLD CHAMPION!

The referee quickly grabs the Championship belt from ringside and presents it to Roscoe Shame, who clutches it in his arms before sinking to his knees. The fans are on their feet for the new World Champion, as his music blasts out over the sound system. Night lays in the mat in pain, with the Company beat down last week obviously taking its toll on the now former World Champion, as fireworks shoot into the air from around the ring whilst Roscoe Shame celebrates becoming the new World Champion as Battle of Britain 2010 comes to an end!

RESULT: Roscoe Shame def. Night via pinfall
