sVo Uprising #007
Goodfellas Casino Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada
2nd January 2022

The entrance video package for Uprising begins, accompanied by the theme song of ‘Uprising’ by Artificial Intelligence as highlights of past action from 2013 to present day are sped up, showing the likes of Bobby Dean, Roscoe Shame, Night, Jay Wildman, Cody Williams & Nathan Paradine. As the video package finally comes to an end with an extended look at the ‘Uprising’ logo, the camera cuts to an exterior shot of the Goodfellas Casino Arena, in the heart of the Las Vegas strip, before cutting to a live shot of inside the arena.

The camera pans around the sold-out crowd, most of them on their feet and screaming loudly whilst trying to get their homemade sign shown in front of the camera. The cameras finally head over to the commentary table, where Julian Fiasco and Jeremiah Sloan welcome the fans watching on TV to the broadcast and begin to break down some of the action that will take place on tonight’s show, including the in ring debut for Bronson Johnson, who attacked Gunner Lang at last week’s sVo Seasons Beatings 2021 PPV!

Backstage
Still Shining

The cameras head backstage to the interview area, where Katie Smith is standing in front of the sVo branded backdrop with Jacob Izaz alongside her! There is a cheer from the crowd as they spot Izaz on the big screen, which draws a small smile from the ‘Philly Flash’. Katie Smith as always has a microphone in hand, as waits for the cheers to quieten before answering the first question.

Katie Smith: “Jacob, thank you for joining me here tonight and a Happy New Year to you!”

Jacob Izaz: “Thanks Katie, but it’s not quite a happy new year, a happy new year would mean that I would be standing here with the sVo Las Vegas Championship around my waist right now….”

Izaz looks solemn as he thinks back to Seasons Beatings last Sunday.

Katie Smith: “Well you certainly came close last Sunday in the fatal four way, have you had any time to reflect on that match?”

Jacob Izaz: “All I have been doing since is reflecting… and to be honest I can have no complaints. It wasn’t some screw ball ending like at the Vendetta PPV, Kenny won that one fair and square so I got to say congratulations to the new Champ…..”

There is a cheer from the crowd.

Jacob Izaz: “…. But don’t soak in the congratulations for too long Kenny, cos I am still on the hunt for that gold!”

There are more cheers from the crowd.

Katie Smith: “Well tonight you have the honour of the first sVo match of 2022 and you are taking on an independent wrestler. How much do you know about Clam Idia?”

Jacob Izaz: “I don’t know anything about chlamydia, what you are implying girl?”

Smith starts to turn red as she tries to explain, but a laughing Jacob Izaz cuts her off.

Jacob Izaz: “Just playing with you Katie, just playing. Apart from the unfortunate name, I know that this guy is going to be pulling out all the stops to try and earn himself an sVo contract. I know he lost two weeks ago, and I know he gonna lose tonight as well. It’s gonna be nice to get my name in the history book for the first win of 2022, because by the end of 2022 you all gonna see me shining!”

The crowd cheer for Izaz as the scene slowly fades out.

Single Match
Jacob Izaz vs. ‘The Relentless’ Clam Idia

With ‘the Relentless’ Claim Idia already in the ring and ready for the first sVo match of 2022 to get started, ‘Not for Radio’ by Nas hits the sound system and the fans cheer as onto the top of the entrance ramp swaggers the confident looking Jacob Izaz. Izaz holds his arms in the air and stands motionless for a few seconds as flash bulbs go off around the arena, before he slowly continues his swagger down the entrance ramp towards the ring. Izaz hops up onto the ring apron and again throws his arms up in the air to poses for the crowd, before climbing through the ropes and into the squared circle.

Izaz looks ready to avenge last weeks Seasons Beatings PPV loss as he runs straight at his opponent from the opening bell, landing some big right hands on the independent wrestler. Idia backs into the corner, but Izaz keeps up the offence until the referee calls for a rope break in the corner of the ring. Izaz reluctantly lets his opponent out of the corner, but Idia lands a cheap shot slap on the ‘Philly Flash’, which gets some loud boos from the sold out crowd in attendance.

Idia and Izaz circle around each other in the middle of the ring, before finally locking up. Idia tries to push Izaz backwards, but Izaz reverses and takes his opponent down with an arm drag takedown. Idia pops straight back up to his feet, but Izaz follows up with a head lock takedown, before nipping up to his feet and posing for the crowd. Idia looks angry as he slowly rises to a standing position, but the crowd roar with approval as Izaz lands a perfect standing dropkick on his opponent before making the cover.

Idia manages to get a shoulder up off of the mat just in time, and this one continues! Idia quickly gets back to his feet looking a little dis-orintanted, but Izaz quickly follows up with a leaping knee strike that sends his opponent back down! Izaz poses for the fans again and gets a big cheer, before pulling Idia up to a standing position. Izaz grabs his opponent in a front face lock, before landing an impressive turnbuckle run Tornado DDT! The fans pop for the move as Izaz makes another cover attempt!

One,

No!

Everyone thought it was all over right there, but somehow Idia managed to get a shoulder up off of the mat just in time! Izaz looks up at the referee for confirmation that it was only a two count, before pulling himself up to his feet. Izaz looks to send Idia into the ring ropes, but Idia reverses the Irish whip knowing that he needs to pull something out of the back to prevent himself from losing two matches on the bounce.

Izaz bounces back into the middle of the ring, and Idia takes him down with an impressive back drop. Izaz stumbles up holding his back, and Idia looks for a superkick on his opponent, however Izaz ducks out of the way and lands a kick to the midsection, before dropping Idia in the middle of the ring with a double underhook piledriver!

The fans pop for the move, as Izaz retreats to the corner of the ring and waits for his opponent to get to his feet! Izaz signals for his finishing move as Idia slowly stumbles up, before springing forward and landing ‘the Message’ to his opponent! The fans cheer for the big superkick as Izaz wastes no time in making the cover.

The referee calls for the bell and this one is all over! Izaz rises up to his feet and celebrates as he has his arm raised in the air by the referee. 2021 might not have ended the way the ‘Philly Flash’ wanted it to, but will 2022 be his year?

Backstage
Made in America

The camera cuts to the backstage area, where Katie Smith is standing with a microphone in hand next to Dallas Jordan, who as always is wearing the colours red, white and blue. The fans boo loudly upon spotting Dallas Jordan as they watch on the giant screen in the arena.

Katie Smith: “Dallas, thanks for joining me here tonight. Now Seasons Beatings didn’t quite go to plan for your team in the Tag Team Title match….”

Dallas Jordan: “Wow, hang on a minute. I know the media likes to put a lot of spin on things these days Katie but I thought you were above that…. I obviously thought wrong. The only reason we didn’t win the Tag Team titles at Seasons Beatings is because those god damn Canadians cheated!”

Katie Smith: “Well you and Alissia Young did both get involved in the match, how do you rate your chances against her out there tonight?”

Dallas Jordan: “All I hear there is more spin from you Katie, I only got involved to try and stop Alissia Young from stealing those belts from us! Now as far as tonight goes it’s a non contest, it’s a man vs. a woman, a man is going to win every time.”

Smith looks a little angry at the response from Dallas Jordan, as does the watching crowd.

Katie Smith: “Do you not think you might be taking Alissia Young a little lightly? She is undefeated so far in the sVo.”

Jordan sneers at the question and the very thought that Alissia Young might have any chance in the match.

Dallas Jordan: “Oh I see what this is, all you girls got to stick together right Katie? Look, you ladies want equal rights so bad then you live with the consequences tonight – that’s all I am saying!”

With Katie Smith starting to go red in the face with anger, the scene fades out as Dallas Jordan walks out of shot to prepare for his match – which is up next!

This time it is just two men standing by in front of the camera, JD James and his newest client Bronson Johnson. The fans boo loudly for the once popular manager, but JD James doesn’t seem phased by the reaction.

JD James: “Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to formally introduce you to a man you all saw last Sunday at Seasons Beatings…. Bronson Johnson!”

JD James proudly points to the man on his left, but Johnson says nothing as he looks into the camera with an unimpressed look on his face.

JD James: “Now this man has been around the wrestling business for longer than most of the people out in that audience have been walking the planet, so he should need no introduction….. However I know that most of the sVo fans these day are heathens who cheer for the likes of Cody Williams…”

More loud boos from the crowd.

JD James: “Now me and Bronson go way back, way way back! Way back further than me and Gunner, further back than me and Johnny even! Now this man is a real man! Someone that knows what this business is about, is willing to do what it takes and isn’t going to get his feelings hurt doing it! I tried to bring around some real change to the sVo and the wrestling business with Horizon, but now I know that you don’t win anything with kids! Which is why myself and Bronson Johnson are putting the sVo on notice… if you don’t believe us just ask Gunner!”

JD James laughs as the scene fades out, with Bronson Johnson’s in ring debut scheduled to take place next!
