Uprising to the Challenge
The shot cuts to the backstage area where we see sVo interviewer and correspondent Katie Smith standing by in front of the Uprising backdrop.
Katie Smith: “Ladies and gentlemen, we are just moments away from tonight’s main event for the sVo Championship. And right now I am with one of the participants, he is the sVo Champion… “The Hollywood Rockstar” Cody Williams!
The Goodfellas Casino Arena erupts as the camera pans out revealing Cody Williams standing there with the sVo Championship draped over his shoulder and wearing an sVo Uprising T-Shirt in his colors and with his logo on it.
Katie Smith: “Great to see you again Cody, you have been keeping yourself extra busy since you came back.”
Cody holds his hand up to pause and then points to his chest.
Cody Williams: “You like my shirt?”
Katie Smith: “I do, it’s a great color!”
Cody Williams: “It’s the number three top seller right now. My other two being one and two. All three of which you can get at sVoshop.com”
He winks.
Katie Smith: “Tonight, you face Scott Washington who won the opportunity to face you for the sVo Championship two weeks ago when he defeated Steven Love.”
Cody nods his head.
Cody Williams: “The last time I stepped into the ring with Scott Washington, he and CJ Dreamer defeated Paradine and me for the sVo Tag Team Championships… that was eight years ago.”
He pauses.
Cody Williams: “A lot can change in eight years. Back then he was in his rookie years and now he is a seasoned veteran. But one thing that remains the same is that he has yet to reach his full potential and break that glass ceiling… reach for that brass ring…”
He turns his attention to the sVo Championship.
Cody Williams: “Until ‘The Hollywood Rockstar’ came back into the picture and shook the entire foundation of the sVo. Until… tonight. Tonight he has the opportunity of a lifetime, the opportunity to show that he belongs, that he is on the cusp of carrying this company on his back. Two weeks ago he rose to the challenge, he punched his ticket to a championship match and tonight he gets his chance to become sVo Champion!”
He chuckles and flashes his million dollar smile.
Cody Williams: “But in order to do that he has to go through me. And I know we’re both going to bring everything we got out there tonight. Except only one of us can walk out with this… and you’re looking at him! Now I…”
Cody’s attention turns to something off camera as he and Katie look on. Into the shot steps in former sVo Champion Johnny All Star to a negative reaction from the crowd.
Johnny All Star: “What a feel good story… Cody Williams coming back and defending his title against people who don’t deserve it all the while dodging the one person who he knows can take it from him like that.”
He snaps his fingers.
Johnny All Star: “I’ve been sitting back patiently waiting for my chance at Seasons Beatings and time is ticking Cody. While you’ve been having your two month long celebration I’ve been thinking about what MY stipulation for our encounter is going to be and when I tell you and the entire world what it is, all eyes will be back on ME!”
Cody Williams: “What’s the hold up then? Why don’t you tell us what it is?”
All Star let’s out a laugh and then turns serious
Johnny All Star: “In due time. You’ve made me wait for my rematch, and I’m going to make you wait to find out. Until I do announce it, I just wanted to wish you luck tonight. Good luck… Champ!”
He pays the sVo Championship and then shoves Cody’s shoulder before walking past him. Cody snarls and shakes his head as he grinds his teeth.
Katie Smith: “I’m sorry about that Cody, I wasn’t expecting him to…”
***THWACK!!!***
Cody falls to the floor in a heap after a vicious chair shot to the back from All Star. Katie scurries away as Cody struggled to get back up. All Star strikes him again with the chair before tossing it to the side. He loosens up his tie and then tosses his suit jacket to the side. He mounts Cody and starts drilling him with rights to the side of the head. He grabs him by his hair and lifts him face to face.
Johnny All Star: “I’m going to make you wish you never came back!”
He viciously pulls him up by his hair onto his feet and then sends him into the Uprising backdrop, the cage, logo and video screen coming crashing down on top of him. Security and backstage agents finally enter the scene to break it up as All Star walks away with his hands up, all smiles. They tend to Cody who’s face is covered in blood, slipping in and out of consciousness as the scene fades to black.

Suddenly, the door swings open and in marches an angry looking Amy Page, who stomps straight up to her brother.
Amy Page: “What is this I am hearing about the main event being off?”
The sVo Boss shrugs his shoulders.
Jon Page: “You are hearing correct! What do you want me to do, the Champion isn’t here any more – he is on his way to hospital. We can’t have a title match without a champion….”
Amy Page: “Well you need to announce that Scott Washington is the new champion right now then if Cody can’t compete!”
Jon Page: “Don’t be ridiculous, the match will still happen, just not tonight. Now if you don’t mind, I have to try and come up with a main event for tonight…..”
Amy Page looks slightly calmer after hearing that the match will still take place another night, as she spins on her heels and storms out of the office as quickly as she entered, slamming the door behind her.
