After the intro for the PWA, the entrance video package for Sunday Night Showdown begins, accompanied by the theme song of ‘Showdown’ by Pendulum as highlights of past action from 2013 to present day are sped up, showing the likes of Bobby Dean, Roscoe Shame, Night, Jay Wildman, Cody Williams & Nathan Paradine. As the video package finally comes to an end with an extended look at the ‘Sunday Night Showdown’ logo, the camera cuts to an exterior shot of the Goodfellas Casino Arena, in the heart of the Las Vegas strip, before cutting to a live shot of inside the arena. The camera pans around the sold-out crowd, most of them on their feet and screaming loudly whilst trying to get their homemade sign shown in front of the camera. The cameras finally head over to the commentary table, where Julian Fiasco and Jeremiah Sloan welcome the fans watching on the HOTv network on PWA:TV to the broadcast and begin to break down some of the action that will take place on tonight’s show!
Ringside
The Big Man at the Top
The fans are on their feet as the Showdown 146 broadcast opens with the sVo Champion, Big Aug, standing in the ring alone with a microphone in his hand. The fans cheer loudly for Lazar, who unhooks the belt that is around his waist and holds it up into the air, before placing it onto his shoulder and waiting for the cheers to die down.
August Lazar: “That’s right, Big Aug is sVo Champion right now….”
Lazar taps the belt on his shoulder defiantly.
August Lazar: “Maybe some of you need reminding that Big Aug is sVo Champion right now…. Certainly Jon Page and sVo management need reminding that Big Aug is sVo Champion right now….”
The look on Lazar’s face turns serious, a side that the sVo fans rarely see from the Champion.
August Lazar: “I worked hard for three things in life, become #1 food blogger….. check! Become big basketball star….. check! Become big time wrestling champion….. check! Yet everyone seems to forget that Big Aug is Champion, they think maybe Booby Dean is Champion, maybe the man of the Night is Champion…. Maybe Mr Vorheez is Champion? They show Big Aug disrespect!”
There is a mixed reaction from the crowd as the Champion begins to look a little angry.
August Lazar: “Well tonight I go one on one with the man of the Night! I show everyone who Big Aug is! I remind the world, and then I remind Jon Page and the sVo by beating all there favorites at the PPV and still walk out #1 food blogger & #1 Champion!”
Big Aug holds the title belt in the air once again, as the camera fades out to cheers from the crowd.
Backstage
Las Vegas Rules
The camera heads backstage to the office of Jon Page, where the boss is watching the Big Aug promo on a screen on the far side of the room. Alongside Page is the current Las Vegas Champion, Jacob Izaz who gets a big pop from the crowd as he is seen on screen.
Jon Page: “Sorry Jacob, you wanted something from me?”
Page looks a little annoyed, as he switches the screen off as turns to Izaz.
Jacob Izaz: “That’s right boss man, I am here about this right here….”
Izaz taps the Las Vegas Championship belt on his shoulder.
Jacob Izaz: “This belt here is feeling all sorts of lonely, how about we add to it at the PPV? I beat Dallas Jordan last time out, let me get a shot at his TapOut Championship!”
The crowd cheer loudly as Page leans back, looking like he is pondering the request.
Jon Page: “Hmm, well Izaz vs Jordan at the PPV does sound like a good idea to me, but how about we raise the stakes a little, whoever wins walks out with both belts!”
Izaz looks surprised, but before he can argue his point, Page rises to his feet and taps the Champion on the shoulder, before leaving the office.

After the exciting Tag Team match, we head backstage to the locker room of Blood Money, where Anthony Moretti, Joe Barone and Junior Gambino are huddled, with Johnny Moretti notable by his absence.
Anthony Moretti: “Look Junior, I know my half-brother, he will come around, you are apart of this family, don’t worry about it! Just don’t show any weakness to him, he respects strength, real old school like that!”
Gambino doesn’t look too sure, but Barone slowly and silently nods his head.
Junior Gambino: “I’m not so sure, I am not sure what I have done to piss him off, but maybe I just apologize?”
Anthony Moretti: “No! No! Trust me, you do not do that under any circumstances!”
Just as Anthony Moretti is finishing his sentence, the door opens and in walks Johnny Moretti. Moretti eyes the three suspiciously, as Junior Gambino rises up to his feet. Anthony Moretti tries to hold the youngster back, but Gambino marches right up to the former sVo Champion Johnny Moretti and gets in his face!”
Junior Gamino: “Listen, I don’t know what I did to piss you off, but let’s have it! Me vs you at the PPV! Bring it you fucker!”
Gambino pushes past Johnny Moretti and storms out of the locker room, as Johnny Moretti looks surprised, before looking back to the Tag Team Champions with an impressed look on his face. The Tag Team Champions look at each other and shrug their shoulders, as the scene fades out.

The cameras head backstage where Katie Smith is standing by in the interview area alongside former sVo Tag Team Champions the Canadian Connection! Jake Hughes, Scott Cole and of course Alissia Young are loudly booed from the fans, as highlights of their match against the Alabama Gang from a few weeks ago are shown.
Katie Smith: “I am joined tonight by the Canadian Connection, who tonight have a chance to book themselves a shot at the sVo Tag Team Championships at the PPV against Blood Money, but first guys, how are we feeling about that match against the Alabama Gang?”
Hughes and Cole shake their heads as they look at each other.
Scott Cole: “Look Katie, that’s a sore subject for us right now. By rights we should be the HOTv Tag Team Champions right now and be the first team in the sVo to win those belts. Sadly for the Southern Boys, we are looking to take out our frustration on all MVW Tag Teams on them tonight!”
Jake Hughes: “That’s right Katie, the Southern Boys are going to pay for their sins of their little MVW buddies tonight, and that payment is going to be made in the form of an ass whuppin!”
Katie Smith: “Well you mention the Southern Boys, what have you made of your opponents so far since they made the jump to the sVo?”
Jake Hughes: “They came in with a lot of buzz, a lot of hype…. Were they not brought in to take the Tag Team Titles off Blood Money by Jon Page?”
Scott Cole: “That they were friend….”
Jake Hughes: “Who are the Tag Team Champions right now?”
Scott Cole: “That would be Blood Money friend….”
Jake Hughes: “I see, pretty damn unsuccessful then aren’t these Southern Boys! Well tonight the Southern Boys take on the most Northern boys in the sVo, and they find out what happens when they step in the ring with WE THE NORTH!”
Alissia Young signals that the talking is done, as the camera fades out.

Finger on the Scales
The cameras head backstage where there is a commotion in the backstage area, with both Darren and Simon Starr down on the floor getting the snot beaten out of them by Darwin Jones, Curtis Knight & Athena! Security officials and backstage staff bravely try to get in the way and intervene, but the combined power of the trio is too much as they continue to lay a beating on the Starr Brothers, two of the three opponents that they are set to face later tonight in six man tag action!
As the vicious attack continues, suddenly Kenneth D Williams, the third man in the team comes sprinting into view with a steel chair in hand, sending Athena, Knight and Jones scattering! The security restores order as Williams checks in on his partners, quickly realizing that it looks like he will be going it alone tonight!

Under New Management
The cameras head once again to the backstage area, where this time Katie Smith is standing next to the imposing figure of the new sVo Roulette Champion, Rick Reid! Highlights from last weeks Uprising are shown on the screen where Reid finally put an end to Hiro Ryuu’s Roulette Championship run, before it cuts back to the live shot of Smith and Reid.
Katie Smith: “Rick, welcome to Showdown! Now last week you had one hell of a win….”
Before Smith can finish her sentence, she is cut off as Amy Page strides onto the scene and relieves Katie Smith of her microphone. Smith looks confused as Page nods to Rick Reid, who nods back.
Amy Page: “Sorry Katie, just who gave you permission to speak to my client?”
Smith looks even more confused.
Amy Page: “Oh you didn’t know? Not really much of a journalist are you Katie? I told you weeks ago I was scouting new talent, did you think I hadn’t found any? No, let me introduce you to the man that is a future sVo Champion….. ‘Razor’ Rick Reid!”
The fans boo loudly.
Amy Page: “Let me also inform you, that whatever your question was going to be, he has NO COMMENT!”
Amy Page laughs before signaling for Rick Reid to follow her as the scene fades out.
