After the intro for the PWA, the entrance video package for Sunday Night Showdown begins, accompanied by the theme song of ‘Showdown’ by Pendulum as highlights of past action from 2013 to present day are sped up, showing the likes of Bobby Dean, Roscoe Shame, Night, Jay Wildman, Cody Williams & Nathan Paradine. As the video package finally comes to an end with an extended look at the ‘Sunday Night Showdown’ logo, the camera cuts to an exterior shot of the Goodfellas Casino Arena, in the heart of the Las Vegas strip, before cutting to a live shot of inside the arena. The camera pans around the sold-out crowd, most of them on their feet and screaming loudly whilst trying to get their homemade sign shown in front of the camera. The cameras finally head over to the commentary table, where Julian Fiasco and Jeremiah Sloan welcome the fans watching on the HOTv network on PWA:TV to the broadcast and begin to break down some of the action that will take place on tonight’s show!

Ringside
Why?

‘There And Back’ by Daughtry hits the sound system in the Goodfellas Casino Arena, and the boos ring out as ‘the Dark Horse’ Curtis Knight & his wife Athena step out onto the top of the entrance ramp. The power couple sneer at the negative reaction from the crowd, before walking down the entrance ramp and climbing into the ring. Knight and Athena wait for the boos to silence as Knight grabs a microphone from the crowd.

Curtis Knight: “…”

Knight brings the microphone up to his mouth to speak, but he is drowned out by loud boos from the Goodfellas Casino, who clearly feel betrayed by one of their heroes.

Knight looks at Athena and shakes his head angrily, before trying again.

Curtis Knight: “…”

Again, loud boos from the crowd drown out Knight before he can even get the first word out.

Knight shakes his head angrily, as he throws the microphone out of the ring in frustration and flips the bird to the sold out crowd. The fans respond with even louder boos, but as Knight and Athena begin to leave the ring, there is a loud pop as racing down the entrance ramp with a steel chair in hand comes Kenneth D Williams!

‘The Human Highlight Reel’ dives into the ring and starts swinging it wildly in the direction of Knight and Athena, but the power couple quickly duck out of the ring, wanting no part of the steel!

The fans cheer loudly for Kenneth D Williams as he challenges Knight and Athena to get back into the ring and fight him, only for the power couple to wave him off and retreat back up the entrance ramp!

The cameras head backstage to the office of sVo Owner Jon Page, where Katie Smith is standing by with the boss outside of the door! Smith as always has a microphone in hand, but Page is holding the sVo Roulette Championship in hand!

Katie Smith: “Ladies and gentlemen, I am standing here with the Owner of the sVo! Now Mr Page, I can’t help but notice that you have in your possession the Roulette Championship belt, does that mean what I think it does?”

Page holds the Roulette Championship up to the camera and nods his head.

Jon Page: “It does indeed. After that tenth successful title defence on Showdown 140, Bobby Dean has cashed in the Roulette Championship for a sVo Championship shot, and he will challenge ‘Big Aug’ August Lazar for the big gold belt at Seasons Beatings in just under one month’s time on Christmas day!”

Page places the Roulette Championship belt on his shoulder.

Jon Page: “But I don’t want to keep ahold of this belt forever. Now that it is vacant we need a new champion! That is why the Roulette wheel has been spun, and we will see a new Roulette Champion crowned when Gunner Lang takes on Hiro Ryuu later tonight with this on the line!”

The fans in the arena cheer for the announcement from Page.

Katie Smith: “Wow that is two massive matches! Speaking of massive matches, let’s head back to ringside where BIG Trouble take on the Southern Boys with both teams looking to move up the rankings and get a shot at Blood Money!”

The scene fades out, as Page holds the belt up to the camera.

The cameras head backstage to the locker room of Blood Money, which draws loud boos from the fans watching the giant screen in the arena. In the locker room, unlike on the last episode of Showdown, is all four members of the group – Johnny Moretti, Junior Gambino and the sVo Tag Team Champions Anthony Moretti & Joe Barone.

Anthony Moretti: “So I’m confused, we’re working with Vorheez now or what?”

Anthony Moretti seems annoyed as he questions his half brother Johnny, and Gambino and Barone seem to be in his corner.

Johnny Moretti: “No we are not working with Vorheez now. We have been to war with Vorheez and his boys for nearly a year now so there is no way we will be working with them. Let’s just call what this is a temporary truce….”

The other three members of the group look confused.

Anthony Moretti: “Truce? What does that mean?”

Johnny Moretti: “Let’s just say our interests align right now. We have BBD and Night thinking that they can jump back into the sVo and skip to the front of the line for a sVo Championship shot. Well there is an order around here that has been established and we ain’t about to let these old timers step in on our shot. We will take out Night and BBD and then we will deal with Big Aug before settling the sVo Championship between us.”

The rest of the group don’t seem convinced.

Anthony Moretti: “You really think we can trust them after everything we been through?”

Johnny Moretti: “We will soon find out, and if we can’t then we will crush them as well….”
