sVo Showdown Episode #069
30th January 2011
Goodfellas Casino Arena, Las Vegas Nevada

“Natural High” by The Union Underground hits the sound system as the sVo Showdown entrance video hits the screens of TV’s all over the world! The video featuring the likes of sVo Champion Roscoe Shame, Night, Bobby Dean and Grimnir shows some of the best action to have ever taken place on the flagship show of the Sanctioned Violence Organization.

As the video comes to an end, the camera cuts to the arena and pans around the sold out crowd as pyro’s shoot up from the entrance stage whilst the theme music continues to blast out over the sound system. The camera picks out several signs in the crowd as the fireworks continue to explode around the ringside area.

The camera then pans across to the entrance stage, where a video recap of last weeks action is shown on the giant Violence-Tron before tonight’s action gets under-way.

LAST WEEK ON SHOWDOWN #68In the main event of the roulette night, Jay Wildman retained his World Heavyweight Championship against DJ, Vintor Otis and Juliana Torres in a four way ladder match…..

With Wildman at the top of the ladder, the fans cheer as the masked figure of Grimnir comes running down the entrance ramp with a steel chair in his hands! However the cheers quickly turn to boos as it becomes obvious that apart from the Grimnir mask, all the ring attire being worn by the figure is that of Samuel Amos!

Wildman jumps down from the ladder as ‘Grimnir’ rolls into the ring, however the World Heavyweight Champion is slammed in the head with a steel chair for the second time tonight! The crowd boo loudly as Samuel Amos stands over the body of Jay Wildman with the Grimnir mask covering his face. Despite Jay Wildman climbing the ladder tonight, will Samuel Amos be the last man standing, and new World Heavyweight Champion come the Destiny PPV in just over two weeks time?RINGSIDE

Heroes and VilliansAs the highlights package from last weeks show comes to a close the fans begin to boo loudly as ‘Real Solution’ hits the sound system and the Company entrance video begins to play on the V-Tron. After a few seconds the ominous figure of Matt Anderson steps out onto the top of the entrance ramp, dressed as always in a smart suit with his trademark shades sitting on his face. Anderson ignores the boos as he slowly makes his way down the entrance ramp and climbs into the ring before taking the microphone from the ring announcer Natasha Ortiz. Anderson waits for the boos to die down before addressing the crowd.

Matt Anderson: “Last night on UnSanctioned the Company showed just how powerful we still are. It doesn’t matter who is making the matches for the Destiny PPV, next Sunday the Company will once again come out in top in what ever is thrown against us. I know I come out here and you boo me, but you guys really seem to have the wrong idea about us. We’re not the bad guys, we are the guys that rescued the Sanctioned Violence Organization when it was down and out…”

The boos continue.

Matt Anderson: “We were the guys who made it possible for you to watch your favourite stars again on Showdown and UnSanctioned every week after Jon Page and Jimmy Moretti had run this place out of business.”

The fans continue to boo, obviously not impressed with Anderson’s appeal.

Matt Anderson: “We come in here like knights in horses to rescue this place from the abyss and this is really what you think of the Company?”

More boos.

Matt Anderson: “You know what, to HELL WITH YOU ALL! If it wasn’t making us so much money I would bury this place in the ground again in an instant!”

Now the boos are deafening as Matt Anderson smiles broadly at the fans reaction.

Matt Anderson: “Or maybe if the cash ever does dry up we could throw it back to the likes of the Jon Page’s that you seem to love and watch him run it into the ground again! Hell he has done it everywhere he has been before, why not let him do it again! You people seem to cheer him like some kind of hero…. just goes to show what short memories you all have. He is part of the reason this place went out of business in the first place! If it wasn’t for him we wouldn’t have had to swoop in and rescue the sVo! The fact of the matter is, Jon Page is like an angel of death, everywhere he goes something bad happens.”

The fans slowly begin to chant for Jon Page, but Matt Anderson continues despite the chants.

Matt Anderson: “Jon Page started up Dynasty Wrestling, it was all going so well and then he ran it into the ground and destroyed it! Jon Page wins the Universal Championship in the XWF, next thing you know the place is out of business! Page shows his face in Project:Violence, OUT OF BUSINESS! Page shows up backstage trying to get friendly with the likes of DJ and El Locon, next thing you know they are getting their heads kicked in! Everywhere Page goes he spreads death and destruction! You still want to boo the Company and cheer him? The fact of the matter is if we ever let him near this place again then it would be the end of the sVo for good!”

The fans continue to boo Matt Anderson, until that transforms into cheers as the hooded figure of Jon Page is seen climbing over the security barrier. The Company agents begin to move towards him, before they are waved off by Matt Anderson. Anderson smirks as Jon Page cautiously climbs up into the ring.

Matt Anderson: “Here he is, the angel of death himself. I wouldn’t be surprised if I find something bad happening to me now…”

Anderson stares down Page from beneath his glasses, as Page swipes the microphone from his hands to a bog cheer from the crowd.

Jon Page: “How about something bad happens to you at Destiny. How about you grow a pair and face me one on one this Sunday on PPV?”

The crowd seem to like that suggestion as they roar their approval, but Anderson shakes his head as he swipes the microphone back from the hands of Page.

Matt Anderson: “What makes you think I want anything to do with you considering your past? Bad things happen when your around Page, which is why I want you no where near the Company’s investment, MY INVESTMENT!”

The Company man slowly begins to pace around the ring as Jon Page stays rooted to the spot.

Matt Anderson: “Way back when you gave me my shot in Dynasty Wrestling. You put me in the position to win the World Heavyweight Championship belt, and I did…. And it was the worst thing that ever happened to me! It was back then that I noticed your curse, back when two weeks after winning the belt I get the injury that ended my career! Your a broken down man, a curse to everyone you come into contact with. Your wife left you, your family want nothing to do with you, you don’t have a friend in the world. Your no hero, your the villain of the piece. You ran the sVo out of business, and the Company come in and picked it out of the trash. Under our watch the ratings are the highest they have ever been, the sVo is moving up to bigger and better things. It doesn’t need your curse anywhere near it. Get the hell out of my ring.”

The fans boo loudly as Company agents slowly begin to circle the ring.

Jon Page: “Nice speech Anderson, but it just shows you for the coward that you really are. Either you face me on Sunday at Destiny, or the whole Company will come tumbling down!”

Anderson slowly shakes his head and smiles at the hooded Jon Page who stands before him.

Matt Anderson: “Empty threats. You don’t have the resources. The Company goes way beyond the sVo, you have no way of taking it down.”

Page slowly nods his head.

Jon Page: “It’s up to you Anderson, you either face me at Destiny, or this whole thing comes tumbling down.”

Page leans forward and whispers something into the ear of Matt Anderson, before turning and making his way out of the ring. The Company agents part out of the way as Page makes his way back into the crowd leaving Matt Anderson in the ring with a look of disbelief on his face about what ever he was just told.BACKSTAGE

The Name Game.. Revisited

Backstage we see “The Reflection of Perfection” Cody Williams and his tag team partner Nathan Paradine walking down the hallway with their luggage in hand, Nathan with the Las Vegas championship in tow. Cody is wearing a black suit, with purple button up shirt, a black tie, and a vest while Nathan is wearing a black suit as well, with a blue button up shirt with the top two buttons unbuttoned and his trademark black shades.

Cody Williams: Rising Sun…

Nathan Paradine: Cody, I know we have a long history with our wrestling roots in Japan, but these Japanese inspired tag team names just aren’t doing it for me mate.

Cody Williams: How about this.. I’m American, you’re Australian.. How about Global Dominance?

Nathan Paradine: That’s not too bad, but I don’t think it’s right for us either.

Cody Williams: Okay… okay… How about, you and I are two great wrestlers individually.. But together we are The Perfection Combination!

Nathan Paradine: Wow.

Cody Williams: Huh, yeah? Good right?

“The Australian Submission Machine” shakes his head and lets out a small chuckle as they continue down the hallway. Cody turns his head to Paradine and flashes a look of confusion. They stop in front of their locker room door and pause there for several seconds.

Nathan Paradine: You my friend, have got a loose screw.

Cody Williams: Alright, let’s hear your suggestions then! You’re so good at turning them down, what do you have?

Nathan Paradine: No, no. You’re the one with all the big ideas, I would like to continue hearing what you have in mind, it’s quite entertaining actually.

“The Reflection of Perfection” thinks hard for a few seconds and places his hand underneath his chin.

Cody Williams: I got it! How about… Twisted Steel and Sex Appeal?

Paradine pushes his sunglasses down the bridge of his nose, revealing his eyebrows to be raised and his eyes wide.

Nathan Paradine: …Wow.

Paradine places his hand on the handle of their locker room door and turns it before entering, leaving Cody standing outside all by himself.

Cody Williams: Oh come on!!!

He throws his hands up into the air.

Cody Williams: There’s no winning with this guy!
SINGLE MATCH
El Locon Vs. NeroThe fans in the arena begin to cheer as ‘Ugly’ by Mudvayne hits the sound system, and the entrance video of the American wannaba begins to play on the sVo-Tron! After a few seconds El Locon, wearing a straight jacket slowly walks down the entrance ramp escorted by a man wearing a white jacket and a net. The fans cheer as El Locon stares down at the ring, before climbing into the ring. The man escorting El Locon begins to take off his straight jacket, as the entrance music begins to fade out. With the straight jacket removed, El Locon stretches out in the corner of the ring and prepares for the match to get under way.

Natasha Ortiz: “The following match is scheduled for one fall with a thirty minute time limit. Introducing first, from Fajardo, Puerto Rico, he weights in at two hundred and ninety pounds…. EL LOCON!!!”

With El Locon in the ring, the crowd suddenly begin to boo as Nero leaps over the security barrier and slides into the ring behind El Locon! El Locon doesn’t even know what has hit him as Nero knocks him down with a big punch to the back of the head! The fans boo loudly as Nero stomps away on El Locon, as the referee calls for the bell to be rung and the match to officially get underway. El Locon manages to stumble up to a standing position, but as he does Nero grabs him by the arm and whips him hard into the ring ropes. El Locon bounces back into the middle of the ring, but as he does Nero takes him down to the mat with a flapjack takedown!

Nero slowly rises up to his feet and the fans boo the newcomer loudly as El Locon slowly pulls himself to a standing position using the ring ropes. Nero looks out at the crowd for a few more seconds, before slowly making his way across and laying into El Locon in the corner of the ring with some big right hands. Nero hits some big rights on El Locon, before El Locon is able to block him off with a knee to the midsection. Nero doubles over in pain, and El Locon takes advantage by taking him down to the mat with a gut wrench backbreaker. With Nero down on the mat, El Locon stomps away on his opponent as the crowd cheer him on.

Nero pulls himself up to a standing position using the ring ropes, but as he does El Locon grabs him by the arm and whips him to the opposite side of the ring. Nero bounces back off of the ropes and straight into a big clothesline from his opponent. The crowd cheer El Locon on as he pulls Nero up before scoop slamming him in the middle of the ring. With Nero laying dead centre in the ring, El Locon runs and bounces into the ropes before returning to hit a leg drop across the face of Nero. With Nero down, El Locon makes the cover.

One…

Two…

NO!

Nero manages to kick out just when the crowd thought El Locon had the match won! El Locon grabs hold of Nero by the hair and pulls him up to his feet, before taking him back down to the mat with a fallaway slam. El Locon looks to be in firm control of the match as he retreats to the corner of the ring and taunts for Nero to get to his feet. Nero slowly manages to pull himself up using the ring ropes as he does, but he isn’t standing for long as El Locon charges across the ring and nails Nero with a big boot to the face! Nero quickly hits the deck, and El Locon presses his shoulders into the mat once more to make another cover.

One…

Two…

No!

The crowd boo loudly as the referee spots Nero’s foot on the bottom rope and stops the count. The referee tries to explain to El Locon that the count has stopped because of a rope break, but as El Locon rises up to his feet he stares at the referee with an angry expression on his face! There is a mixed reaction from the crowd as El Locon backs the referee into the opposite corner of the ring whilst screaming in his face, before Nero dives across to hit a low blow on El Locon!

El Locon stumbles backwards holding his groin, allowing Nero to take him down to the mat with ‘the Crucifiction’! The crowd boo loudly for the big move from Nero, who rolls to his feet and stomps away on El Locon. El Locon rolls to the outside of the ring to get away from the attack of Nero, as the newcomer stands tall in the middle of the ring, taunting his opponent to get back into the squared circle. El Locon finally climbs up onto the ring apron, but Nero cuts him off with a shoulder to the midsection before he can climb back into the ring.

With El Locon on the ring apron, Nero pulls him head first through the second and third rope, before dropping him head first with a ‘Sword of Damocles’! El Locon slowly staggers up to his feet holding his head in pain, but can do nothing as Nero runs at him and connects with a ‘Call to Caligula’! With El Locon on the mat holding his neck in pain, the Italian born superstar Nero waits for him to slowly begin to stumble to his feet before pounding forward and locking on the ‘Fall of Rome’ on his opponent! The fans boo loudly for the painful submission hold, as after a few seconds El Locon has no choice but to submit to the inevitable.

TAP!

TAP!

TAP!

Nero keeps the hold locked onto his opponent despite the referee calling for the bell to be rung and the match to end. The referee tries to pull Nero off of El Locon, but Nero keeps the ‘Fall of Rome’ locked on for a few more seconds to make his mark before releasing the hold on El Locon. Having made a statement to the entire sVo locker room, the relative newcomer slowly rises up to his feet and soaks in the boos from the sold out arena.

Natasha Ortiz: “The winner of this match as a result of a submission…. NERO!!”

Give me liberty or give me….

KNOCK KNOCK

Matt Anderson looks up from his paper work as the fans in the arena give a collective boo at the sight of his face.

“Who the hell actually yells ‘knock knock’ instead of actually knocking?”

Anderson’s answer comes as the door bursts open right when he gets to it to open it. In the doorway stands one Loki Synn, the man about to face Vintor Otis in a match that has been two weeks in the making. Loki winds up and before Anderson can do anything, the Synnful Jester smashes Matt Anderson’s head with his jester’s cane! Matt collapses backwards, unconscious as Loki turns to the camera behind him and clears his throat.

“Ladies and gentlemen! Children of all ages! Due to Matt Anderson’s untimely nap, I suppose I will just have to ask the fans for their input. You see, I was just about to ask Anderson to make mine and Vinty’s match a Chairs Match. It only seems fitting, no?”

The fans erupt in cheers as Loki continues.

“So I’m guessing by the eruption of gleeful noises that you all want to see a chair match between myself and Vinty? Very well. Ask and ye shall receive.”

With that Loki heads out of Anderson’s office, leaving the camera to zoom in on the unconscious body of Matt Anderson.BACKSTAGE

Watching, Waiting

Backstage we find Tamara Boyd, microphone in hand standing with a professional smile on her face in front of an sVo backdrop. Beside her is a seemingly cheerful Akira Kimura, a wry grin on his face as beside him stands a very agitated Nightmare. The masked man is dressed in his ring attire, the sVo TapOut Title slung over his right shoulder as he anxiously looks to the left and right.

Tamara Boyd: “I’m here with sVo TapOut Champion, Nightmare and his manager, Akira Kimura. Tonight Nightmare will defend his TapOut Championship against Crippler. Nightmare – how do you feel going into this title defense?”

He barely seems to hear the question as he continues his visual scan of the room.

Nightmare: “Fine.”

Akira Kimura: “Now, Ryu, remember what we talked about before? One word responses are bad.”

Nightmare: “Sure.”

Tamara Boyd: “Nightmare, you seem distracted – would this have anything to do with the mysterious figure who has been following you these past few weeks?”

Finally the masked wrestler seems drawn to the interview.

Nightmare: “This mysterious figure… is nothing but a cowering worm. He doesn’t even have the honor to face me…”

The old man beside him scoffs and stifles a chuckle.

Akira Kimura: “That’s rich – coming from you.”

Nightmare: “Fuck off.”

Akira Kimura: “You know I’m right.”

The masked man glares at his manager before once again eyeing the room.

Nightmare: “… regardless… I’m merely keeping an eye open. The next time I see him I will not only find out who he is but I will destroy him for even THINKING he could get to me with these ridiculous ‘mind games’, for lack of a better term.”

Tamara Boyd: “And do you feel that your pre-occupation with your… ‘stalker’… is going to have any sort of adverse effect on your match with Crippler tonight?”

Nightmare cackles.

Nightmare: “This guy’s been chasing me around for weeks… and I keep winning. I won the TapOut Title. I’ve defended the TapOut Title… hell I got jumped by some blue-haired chick back at the hotel. Not as hot as it sounds.”

Tamara Boyd: “And how has your experience as TapOut Champion been so far? How are you finding the 24/7 rule?”

The masked champion grins a devious grin.

Nightmare: “The past few champions have complained about the 24/7 rule. I’m a different breed. I relish in the chance to crush dreams… and skulls… twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. This gives me the opportunity to do just that.”

Tamara Boyd: “Confident words from the TapOut Champion – now, back to the ring.”

Nightmare stalks off as we cut back to ringside.
SINGLE MATCH
Loki Synn Vs. Vintor OtisThe eerie beat of “Imagine” performed by A Perfect Circle starts to play over the loud speakers as the lights dim. The crowd simmers to a dull roar as a a name starts to spell itself out on the tron in Balloon Animal form…

L-O-K-I

S-Y-N-N

The balloons all pop as the music begins to pick up and a spot light shines on Loki Synn, sVo’s resident Jester who poses briefly with his bauble scepter. He acknowledges the crowd with a slight smile and a little wave before making his way down to the ring.

Natasha Ortiz: “The following match is scheduled for one fall with a thirty minute time limit. Introducing first, from Delavan, Wisconsin , he weights in at two hundred and thirty five pounds…. LOKI SYNN!!!”

Rolling under the ropes Loki stands up to face the crowd as multi colored graffiti falls down among the crowd and into the ring where Loki swings his scepter back and forth fighting an imaginary foe in a sword duel to the death while he awaits for the match to start.

“Hell of a Life” plays over the sound system and the arena goes black. A few seconds later, a silver spotlight searches around the arena before finding Vintor Otis, walking down the ramp towards the ring with a solemn expression on his face. The spotlight follows Otis as he slowly and purposely walks towards the ring before entering the ring by using the steps. Otis goes to his corner and stretches out the top rope before waiting patiently for his opponent, still with a solemn expression on his face.

Natasha Ortiz: “And his opponent, hailing from Belleville, Illinois , he weighs in at three hundred and twenty five pounds, VINTOR OTIS!!!”

Natasha Ortiz, the sVo ring announcer begins to leave the ring after announcing the two participants in the match. However as she does her path is blocked by Loki Synn! Loki Synn takes the microphone out of Ortiz’s hand before letting her past.

Loki Synn: “Moments ago you saw me hit Matt Anderson square in the head.”

The fans cheer loudly for the statement from Loki Synn, as Vintor Otis watches his opponent warily from the opposite corner of the ring.

Loki Synn: “That was a statement of intent to the sVo, just like the statement of intent that Vintor Otis tried to make when he hit me with a steel chair a few weeks ago on UnSanctioned…. That is why I am officially making this match, a steel chair match!”

The fans cheer loudly for the announcement, which will mean that steel chairs are legal weapons to be used in this match up, as the commentators debate whether Loki Synn really has the authority to be making decisions such as this. The referee asks Vintor Otis, who shrugs his shoulders in apathy, before the referee calls for the bell to be rung and this match to get underway!

Loki Synn and Vintor Otis slowly make their way towards each other in the middle of the ring, and Otis quickly begins to lay into Loki Synn with some right hands. Loki Synn takes a few punches from Otis, before he is able to dance behind his opponent and grab him in a waist lock. Otis does his best to shake off his opponent with some back elbows, only for Loki Synn to take him down to the mat with a waist lock takedown. Loki Synn nails Otis with some shots to the back of the head, before finally allowing him to get back to his feet. Vintor Otis looks weary as he slowly rises up to his feet, and knocks away the on rusing Loki Synn with a big right hand.

Loki Synn staggers backwards and Vintor Otis backs him into the corner of the ring with some big punches. With Synn in the corner, Vintor Otis stomps away on his opponent before finally letting him rise to his feet. Otis pulls up his powerful opponent and gets boos from the crowd as he nails him with some big knife edge chops in the corner of the ring. Loki Synn holds his chest in pain as Vintor Otis grabs him by the arm and whips him corner to corner. Loki Synn hits the turnbuckle hard, before Otis follows up with a big clothesline in the corner of the ring. The fans boo loudly as Loki Synn stumbles out of the corner, and Vintor Otis takes him down with a ‘Titanic Wrath’!

Vintor Otis checks over his shoulders after the powerful move, as if he is expecting some kind of sneak attack, before slowly pulling Loki Synn up to his feet. Loki Synn looks unsteady as Otis nails him with a knee to the midsection to double him over in pain, before planting him down to the mat with a ‘End of the Road’! The fans cheer the powerful move from Vintor Otis, as he rises up to his feet. However instead of trying for the cover on his opponent, the steel chairs sitting at ringside catch the eye of Otis as he slowly climbs out of the ring!

The crowd boo loudly as Vintor Otis makes his way over to the announcers table and pushes Nick Harris out of his chair before taking it and rolling back into the ring. Vintor Otis carefully folds the chair up, before lashing it down across the back of Loki Synn as he tries to get up! The fans boo loudly for the big chair shot, a move that Loki Synn himself made legal, as Otis punishes him with one more chair shot across the back. With Loki Synn down and hurting, Vintor Otis makes the cover on his opponent.

One…

Two…

NO!

Much to the suprise of everyone, including Vintor Otis, Loki Synn manages to get a shoulder up off of the mat before the three can be counted! Vintor Otis looks down at Loki Synn in shock as he slowly begins to rise up to his feet. Vintor Otis scoops up the steel chair as Loki Synn backs into the corner of the ring. With Synn in the corner, Otis runs at his opponent looking to take his head off with the chair, only for Synn to get his legs up and kick the chair back into the face of Vintor Otis!

The fans cheer the move from Synn, as he follows up with a DDT on his stunned opponent onto the steel chair! Both men look unable to move as they lay on the mat, with the fans firmly chanting for Loki Synn. After a few seconds both men slowly begin to rise to their feet, and Loki Synn lays into Otis with some right hands. Otis tries to fight back with some punches of his own, but Loki Synn is able to counter one of the punches into a powerslam on Vintor Otis! The fans cheer the big move from the powerful Loki Synn, as he makes the cover on his opponent.

One…

Two…

NO!

Just when Loki Synn thought he had the three count, Vintor Otis managed to get his shoulder up off of the mat! Loki Synn shakes his head in frustration as he wonders what he will have to do to put away his opponent. With Vintor Otis laying prone on the mat, the fans begin to cheer Loki Synn on even louder as he looks to the corner of the ring. Loki Synn seems to be a little unsure, before finally throwing caution to the wind and climbing the turnbuckle. Loki Synn doesn’t seem totally sure of himself on the top rope, as he stands ready to hit a knockout move on his opponent, Otis jumps up from the canvas and dives into the ropes! Loki Synn falls on a painful place on the turnbuckle, allowing Vintor Otis to jump up to the second rope and take him down with a huge belly to back suplex from the top!

The fans rise to their feet for the massive move from Vintor Otis, as Loki Synn lays on the mat holding his back in pain. Both men slowly begin to rise to their feet, but as they do Vintor Otis takes control as he bounces into the ropes before nearly taking off Loki Synn’s head with a clothesline from hell! The fans boo loudly for the move as Loki Synn stumbles up to his feet as if he doesn’t know where he is. Vintor Otis takes advantage as he grabs Loki Synn by the throat, and plants him down to the mat with a ‘Redemption’ chokeslam!

Otis checks over his shoulders again as if he is still expecting a sneak attack of some sort, before deciding against making a cover on his opponent. Once again his eyes fall towards the steel chair, as he kicks it into position in the middle of the ring. With the steel chair in place, Otis pulls Loki Synn up to his feet and drags him towards the steel chair. With Loki Synn in position, Vintor Otis signals for the ‘Call of the Damned’ onto the chair!

The fans boo loudly, but the boos turn to cheers as out of no where Loki Synn counters with a back drop onto Otis! Otis jumps up to his feet with a stunned look on his face, and walks straight into the ‘Last Laugh’ from Loki Synn! The fans cheer Loki Synn as he rolls up to his feet, and taunts for his own finishing move! Vintor Otis slowly begins to stumble up, but the powerful Loki Synn scoops him up before dropping him with a ‘No Laughing Matter’ onto the steel chair! With Vintor Otis down, Loki Synn slowly rolls across to make the cover!

One…

Two…

THREE!

In a back and forth match, it’s Loki Synn who ultimatly manages to pick up the big win over Vintor Otis right here on Showdown! The fans cheer the outcome as a battered Loki Synn slowly staggers up to his feet and celebrates the biggest victory of his sVo career so far!

Natasha Ortiz: “The winner of this match as a result of a pinfall… LOKI SYNN!”RINGSIDE

Partners? The fans cheer Loki Synn as he continues to celebrate his victory in the middle of the ring, however as he does he doesnt notice Vintor Otis slowly rise up to a standing position behind him! The fans boos don’t even warn the victor as Vintor Otis picks up the very chair he was just slammed onto, and drives it into the back of Loki Synn!

The fans boo loudly as Loki Synn doubles over in pain, and Vintor Otis slams the chair down hard across his back. Loki Synn hits the desk as Vintor Otis stands over him with the steel chair in his hand, an almost spitting image of UnSanctioned a few weeks ago.

With the two men being forced to team up at Sunday’s Destiny PPV to take on the established team of the Canadian Connection, have they got a hope of co-existing and defeating the former Tag Team Champions?

Vintor Otis still looks weary of Loki Synn as he checks over his shoulder before climbing out of the ring and making his way backstage, leaving his ‘partner’ for Sunday laid out in the middle of the ring.BACKSTAGE

The Name Game.. AGAIN!

Cody Williams: Wrestling Personified?

The voice of Cody Williams is heard as we see him and Nathan Paradine sitting around in their locker room. Nathan thinks about it for several seconds and turns his head to Cody and shakes his head from left to right disagreeing with Cody’s latest tag team name suggestion.

Nathan Paradine: It has a ring to it, but it just doesn’t click.

“The Reflection of Perfection” twiddles his thumbs and bites his lower lip, trying to concoct his next team name possibility.

Cody Williams: What about.. The Essence of..

Nathan Paradine: No.

He snaps his head quickly towards Nathan Paradine and raises an eyebrow.

Cody Williams: What? Really? I can’t finish my..

Nathan Paradine: No.

Cody lets out an audible sigh and dips his head low, letting it hang.

Cody Williams: Pro Wrestling Revolution?

Nathan Paradine: Ehh..

Cody Williams: For the love of God man, you don’t agree with anything! Next thing I know you’ll agree to some off the wall name like Perfectaroo..

His Australian counterpart removes his sunglasses from his face and turns his attention to Cody who is staring off into the distance.

Nathan Paradine: Hey, you watch it sunshine!

Cody Williams: I’ve practically run out of ideas, we might as well call ourselves Second to None or..

Nathan Paradine: Wait, what did you say?

“The Reflection of Perfection” turns towards Nathan who stands up from his chair and throws the Las Vegas Championship over his shoulder. He looks down at Cody who follows suit and stands up as well, standing face to face with each other.

Cody Williams: I said we might as well call ourselves Second to None?

Paradine nods his head.

Nathan Paradine: You know what? That’s not that bad of an idea. It has a ring to it, it’s catchy, it was meant to be a tag team name. I like it.

Cody shakes his head in disbelievement and sticks his finger into his ear to clear out anything that may be disrupting his hearing.

Cody Williams: Wait, what did you say?

Nathan Paradine: I said I like it.

Cody reaches into his pocket and pulls out a party horn and blows on it as he reaches into his other pocket with his free hand. He throws his arm into the air letting an explosion of confetti rain down on him and Nathan Paradine. Paradine looks on in confusion, wiping his shoulders off as Cody throws his arms into the air in celebration.

Nathan Paradine: What the hell was that?

Cody Williams: I have been carrying that stuff in my pocket for weeks in anticipation of you finally agreeing on a team name and I finally got to put it to use!

Paradine shakes his head in disbelief, picking up his gear bag to prepare for his upcoming title defense.

Cody Williams: We’re gonna make this work Nathan. Big things are gonna happen! Now for catchphrases!!!
sVo TAPOUT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
Nightmare (c) Vs. CripplerThe arena lights fade and a red light begins to slowly strobe as “March of the Pigs” by Nine Inch Nails pounds through the arena over the PA system. The crowd burst into a loud chorus of boos as The Company logo floats onto the sVo tron, quickly replaced by a name.

“N I G H T M A R E”

The curtains part and a man in red trunks with a black streak down the side and a black mask cut away at the top to reveal a freshly shaved head of hair. He half-grins/half-sneers at the jeering audience surrounding him and wastes little time in stalking down the entrance ramp before quickly sliding under the bottom rope and into the ring. He stands, jawing off at various members of the crowd as he awaits the start of the match.

Natasha Ortiz: “The following match is scheduled for one fall with a thirty minute time limit and is for the Sanctioned Violence Organization TAPOUT CHAMPIONSHIP! Introducing first, from Kyoto, Japan, he weights in at two hundred and fourty one pounds. Representing the Company…. the sVo TAPOUT CHAMPION, NIGHTMARE!!!”

“Last Resort” plays as Canadian Crippler comes out completely focused on the ring. He enters the ring and awaits the bell.

Natasha Ortiz: “And the challenger, from Montreal, Quebec, Canada , he weighs in at two hundred and twenty five pounds, CRIPPLER!!!”

The referee holds the sVo TapOut Championship belt in the air to signal that it will be on the line in tonight’s match. The crowd cheer at the sight of the title that can only be won by submission, but as the referee passes it to the outside of the ring Nightmare attacks Crippler from behind! The fans boo the actions of Nightmare as Crippler tries to fight back with some punches and kicks to his opponent. However Nightmare is able to grab hold of his opponent and throw him into the ropes, before knocking him down to the mat with a shoulder block.

Crippler rises back up to his feet, but the monster Nightmare quickly cuts him off with a big head butt to his opponent. Crippler stumbles backwards holding his head, allowing Nightmare the chance to take him down with an exploder suplex. The fans boo the big move from Nightmare, as the TapOut Champion follows it up with some big punches to the downed body of his opponent. Nightmare shows off his dominance over Crippler by pulling him back to his feet, before tossing him down to the mat with a full nelson suplex.

Nightmare parades around the ring snarling at the fans at ringside as Crippler slowly begins to make his way up to a standing position. Nightmare makes his way across and lays into Crippler with some big right hands until Crippler is able to block one of the punches from his opponent! Crippler hits Nightmare with some stiff knife edge chops that echo around the arena and pin Nightmare back into the corner of the ring. With Nightmare in the corner, Crippler fires away with some vicious kicks to the midsection of his opponent before snap suplexing him into the middle of the ring. Nightmare rises up to his feet with a look of anger on his face but gets sent straight back down to the mat thanks to a short arm clothesline from Crippler.

Crippler pulls Nightmare up to his feet by his head, before hitting him with a canadian back breaker in the middle of the ring. With Nightmare turn and holding his back, Crippler quickly slaps on a camel clutch submission hold! The fans rise to their feet at the prospect of seeing a new TapOut Champion as Crippler pulls back on the hold in an attempt to make the monster Nightmare submit! The referee asks Nightmare if he wants to give up, but he shakes his head before trying to drag himself across the mat towards the bottom rope. Crippler releases the hold briefly to hit some hard punches to the back of Nightmare’s head, before slapping it straight back on the Champion!

The referee once again asks Nightmare if he wants to give up, as the fans continue to get behind Crippler. However with one last gasp piece of energy, Nightmare uses his power to slowly rise up to a kneeling position, before falling back onto Crippler and causing him to break the hold! The crowd show their displeasure by booing loudly as both men rise to their feet. Nightmare runs across and aims a dropkick at Crippler, but Crippler ducks out of the way of it before trying to lock an ankle lock onto Nightmare! The fans quickly rise to their feet, but before Crippler can really get the hold locked in Nightmare is able to rise up to a standing position on one leg, before countering with an enzuguri!

The fans boo the big move from Nightmare as for a few seconds both men lay on the canvas motionless. Nightmare and Crippler slowly begin to rise up to a standing position and Crippler dives in looking for a double leg takedown onto his opponent. However Nightmare cuts off Crippler with an elbow to the top of the head, before knocking him down to the mat with a knee rise to the chin of his opponent. Crippler rolls back up to his feet, but as he does Nightmare grabs him and scoops him up with a Rogue Driver! The fans boo loudly for the finishing move of the TapOut Champion as he plants his opponent in the middle of the ring!

Crippler lays in pain in the middle of the ring, as Nightmare coils himself around his opponent with the ‘Nightmare Sleeper’! The former Tag team Champion tries to struggle out of the hold, but as he begins to fade fast under the pressure of the Nightmare Sleeper, he has no choice but to give up his dreams of becoming TapOut Champion.

Natasha Ortiz: “The winner of this match as a result of a submission and STILL sVo TapOut Champion, Nightmare!”

Nightmare wastes no time in releasing the hold as his opponent taps out, before pushing Crippler’s body away from his own like a piece of garbage. Nightmare stares down at his opponent for a few seconds before being presented with the TapOut Championship belt by the referee. The fans boo loudly as the referee stands in the middle of the ring and raises the hand of the TapOut Champion high in the air in victory.
sVo LAS VEGAS CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
Nathan Paradine (c) Vs. Juliana Torres”Sinner” by Drowning Pool begins. On the big screen we see The Corporate Lady holding a white owl in her left side of her shoulder and walking toward the ring smoke comes out when she shows up on the screen and she walks on heavy steps looking to the crowd with a mad look and showing no happiness in her eyes a firework sound on her background while she gets inside the ring.

Natasha Ortiz: “The following match is scheduled for one fall with a thirty minute time limit and is for the Sanctioned Violence Organization LAS VEGAS CHAMPIONSHIP! Introducing first, from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada , she weights in at one hundred and forty pounds. The Challenger, JULIANA TORRES!!”

“Sorry, You’re Not A Winner” by Enter Shikari blasts around the arena as Nathan Paradine appears at the top of the ramp, his arms crossed over his chest and his head bowed. With the Las Vegas Championship strapped around his waist, he glances up, the lights reflecting off his sunglasses and he points out towards the crowd, oblivious to their boos. He marches down to the ring and slides in underneath the bottom rope, climbing to his feet and raising an arm up into the air as the music dies away.

Natasha Ortiz: “And her opponent, from Melbourne, Australia , he weighs in at two hundred and forty pounds, he is the sVo LAS VEGAS CHAMPION…. NATHAN PARADINE!!!”

The referee calls for the bell, and both Paradine and Torres move to the middle of the ring. The much taller Paradine stares down at his opponent, well aware that he has both the height and weight advantage in this matchup! He lunges forward and wraps his arms around Torres however the wily “Corporate Lady” slips away, stepping around behind the Las Vegas Champion and jumping onto his back! Paradine paws at her trying to pull her down however she manages to cling on, wrapping her arms around his neck and her legs around his torso to apply a modified rear naked choke!

Paradine backs away into the corner, driving Torres forcefully against the turnbuckle. Torres squeals in pain and finally releases the hold, slumping down into the corner. Paradine turns around and rolls his shoulders before seizing her by the shoulders and hoisting her up onto the top rope. With a roar he grabs her again and performs a superplex, slamming her hard into the mat! The crowd screams as he hooks the leg!

KICKOUT!

Torres manages to kick out after the HUGE superplex! Paradine rolls away and climbs to his feet, stomping down hard on his opponent. Torres cries out in pain and tries to scramble away, however Paradine grabs her leg and pulls her back towards him. The Las Vegas Champion pulls Torres to her feet and whips her into the ropes, catching her with a hip toss on the rebound. Torres slams into the mat again, however she is back on her feet quickly.

She attempts to mount an offense, dealing out a series of kicks to Paradine’s legs, however the self-proclaimed “Australian Submission Machine” grabs her leg on the fifth kick and kicks her other leg out from underneath her. With her leg in his grasp, Paradine flips Torres over and applies a single leg Boston Crab! Paradine almost bends Torres in half as he applies the hold, eliciting a scream of despair from her as she desperately tries to make it to the ropes!

Paradine releases the pressure to try and pull Torres back to the middle of the ring, however she seizes the chance to kick out at Paradine and get her foot free. Paradine staggers backwards and Torres leaps to her feet, gingerly favoring the leg Paradine had been working on. She ducks underneath a clothesline attempt from Paradine, only to eat Paradine’s elbow as he turns around. Paradine kicks her in the midsection before ducking around behind her and hitting a double knee backbreaker. Torres flails on the mat as Paradine hooks her leg again.

ONE!

TWO!

KICKOUT!

Again, Torres manages to kick out! Paradine backs away, looking more than a little bit astounded at the Torres’ resiliency. Torres climbs to her feet again and turns to face Paradine, beckoning him to fight. Paradine nods and moves to the center of the ring, locking up with Torres and executing another go behind however Torres manages the manouvre herself, grabbing Paradine’s arm and wrenching it up behind his back. She pushes Paradine into the corner and releases his arm, catching him directly on the jaw with a spinning kick as he turns around.

Paradine falls back into the corner, slumping over the top rope, as Torres runs forward. Paradine ducks down at the last possible second though, driving his shoulder into Torres’ midsection and throwing her up over the top rope. She tumbles down to ringside. Paradine staggers forward and drops to the mat, rubbing at his jaw. Torres crawls back into the ring and immediately jumps on top of Paradine in an almost comedic fashion, however she again wraps her arms and legs around his body and applies a choke. Paradine, unprepared for such an attack, collapses onto the mat and rolls over in an attempt to crush Torres, however it just provides her with an opportunity to apply the move properly! Paradine finally goes limp and the referee calls for the bell, declaring Torres to be the winner!

Paradine struggles, crawling towards the ropes and barely managing to wrap his arms around the bottom rope. The referee orders Torres to release Paradine and she grudgingly obliges. Both competitors stand up and Paradine wastes no time in charging forwards, hitting a sloppy lariat and knocking Torres down. Paradine drops as well and wraps his legs around Torres neck, applying the Mark of Judas. Torres struggle violently, however there is no escape from this submission move and she frantically taps out!

Early RegretsThe scene switches backstage where James Von Drake and his brother-in-law Benedict Wilson are on their comfortable Company sponsored locker room. Showdown is on the massive television that hangs on the far wall and JVD looks to be watching out closely. However Wilson on the other hand is taking a more passive interest in the show, instead choosing to lie back in the comfort of the sofa, look up at the sky and sip champagne from the Company’s expensive collection.

James Von Drake: “Right this is what we want to watch. The Rodriguez Brothers are the tag team champions so are the ones we want to be getting a shot at, we have to watch this and see their strengths and weaknesses.”

JVD watches the TV closely ready for the match to start, but Wilson continues to stare up at the ceiling.

James Von Drake: “Hey man are you going to watch this or not? It’s going to be a war to get to the top of the tag team division, we need to be prepared!”

Wilson takes a sip of champagne from the bottle, before shaking his head softly.

Benedict Wilson: “War! that mad game the world so loves to play. Only the dead have seen the end of war.”

Wilson takes another gulp of champagne before rolling onto his side, away from the TV. JVD slowly shakes his head. Maybe his wife was right, this wasn’t going to be such a good idea after all.

On the sVo-Tron highlights of Xtreme Fusion’s sVo greatest moments play as Asesino and DVD slowly makes his way out from the backstage area and down the entrance ramp. Asesino stares out the crowd as he walks, before rolling into the ring. DVD walks around the ring looking out at those in the crowd who are booing him, as Asesino jumps up onto the second rope of the nearest turnbuckle and taunts to the fans by throwing them an ironic kiss.

Natasha Ortiz: “The following match is scheduled for one fall with a thirty minute time limit and is for the Sanctioned Violence Organization TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS! Introducing first at a combined weight of four hundred and sixty pounds. The Challengers, DVD & Asesino, XTREME FUSION!!”

‘My Way’ by Limp Bizkit hits the sound system and there is a mixed reaction from the crowd as the massive figures of the sVo Tag Team Champions Chezina and Chivo Rodriguez steps onto the top of the entrance ramp! Chezina holds his hands up in the air before slowly making his way down the entrance ramp towards the ring. Chivo towers over the fans lining the entrance ramp, and as he steps up onto the ring apron, he is able to step over the top rope with ease! Chezina struts around the ring for a few seconds to show his dominance before preparing for the match to get under-way.

Natasha Ortiz: “And their opponents, weighing in at a combined weight of six hundred and fifty five pounds, they are the sVo TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS, CHIVO & CHEZINA…. THE RODRIGUEZ BROTHERS!!!”

With both tag teams in the ring, the referee holds the sVo Tag Team Championship belts in the air to signal that they will be on the line in tonight’s match! All four men stare up at the gold before the referee hands it the ring announcer Natasha Ortiz on the outside of the ring. Chivo and DVD make their ways onto the ring apron, and the referee calls for the bell to be rung as Chezina and Asesino get this match started for their teams!

Asesino quickly runs at Chezina and lays into the big man with some big early punches to try and take him down. However Chezina uses his size advantage to absorb the right hands from his opponent, before knocking him down with a big head butt. The fans give a mixed reaction to the move from Chezina, as Asesino slowly stumbles up to his feet. Chezina slaps Asesino hard across the chest, before scoop slamming him in the middle of the ring. Asesino rises up to his feet holding his back from the powerful scoop slam as Chezina grabs him by the arm and shoots him into the ring ropes. Asesino bounces back into the middle of the ring and is quickly knocked down with a big boot to the face from Chezina!

With Asesino down, Chezina makes the tag out to Chivo and his brother quickly enters the ring and begins to stomp away on Asesino as he tries to get up. As Asesino finally does reach a standing position he is grabbed by the arm and thrown into the corner of the ring by his opponent. With Asesino in the corner, Chivo follows up with a big splash in the corner of the ring! The fans give a mixed reaction to the big splash from the giant Chivo as Asesino stumbles out of the corner in pain. Chivo knocks down Asesino with a big upper cut, but as Asesino gets back to his feet DVD quickly tags himself in off the back of his opponent.

DVD jumps into the ring and immediately walks into a big right hand from Chivo. DVD jumps back up to his feet, but Chivo takes him down with a side walk slam which drives the air out of DVD’s body. The fans seem to be getting behind the Rodriguez Brothers a little in this match as Chivo slowly brings DVD up to his feet and throws him into the ring ropes. DVD bounces back into the middle of the ring and quickly knocks down Chivo with a flying forearm! The fans boo the big move from DVD, as Chivo tries to get to his feet. DVD nails a chopblock on his larger opponent to try and cut him down to size, before hitting him with an atomic drop.

Chivo stumbles forward and DVD takes the opportunity to bounce into the ring ropes and hit the giant with a Lui Thesz press! The fans boo loudly as DVD lays into Chivo with some mounted punches before rising to his feet and making the tag out to his partner Asesino. Asesino jumps into the ring and immediately goes to work on Chivo with some big stomps to the back of the Tag Team Champion. Chivo manages to push Asesino away and rise to his feet, but as he staggers across to make the tag he is cut off thanks to a big spear from Asesino! With Chivo down on the mat, Asesino makes the cover after the spear!

Just when it looked like it was all over, Chezina quickly jumps into the ring to break up the cover and save the Tag Team Championship belts from being lost to Xtreme Fusion! The referee orders Chezina out of the ring, but with his back turned DVD quickly jumps into the ring to help Asesino double team Chivo! Chezina desperately tries to help out his partner, but as he does the referee continues to restrain him as Asesino and DVD pull Chivo up to hit feet before sending him crashing down to the mat with a death drop! With Chivo down on the mat, DVD jumps out of the ring as the referee turns around and Asesino makes the cover!

One…

Everyone in the arena thought there were new Tag Team Champions, but Chezina makes the save for his partner yet again just in the nick of time! Chezina reluctantly makes his way back to the corner of the ring, as Chivo slowly begins to crawl towards him. Before Chivo can make the tag, Asesino quickly grabs him by the leg and pulls him back into the middle of the ring. Asesino positions Chivo for a DDT in the middle of the ring, but as he tries to hit the move Chivo uses his strength to counter and throw his opponent across the ring! The fans cheer the big move from the giant as he makes his way across the ring and makes the tag out to Chezina!

The fans cheer as Chezina hits the ring and knocks down Asesino with a big right hand. DVD quickly jumps into the ring but he is also knocked down with a big right from the monster Chezina! Chezina quickly grabs Asesino and throws him into the ropes before hitting him with a big boot to the face, before doing the same to DVD! DVD rolls out of the ring as Chezina turns his attention back to Asesino. Asesino bravely fights back with some big punches and kicks to Chezina, but the giant grabs him by the throat and lifts him up into the air for a chokeslam!

However boos ring out around the arena as before he can hit the move, DVD rolls back into the ring with the ring bell and smashes it into the back of Chezina’s head! The referee immediately calls for a disqualification as Asesino and DVD bail out of the ring whilst Chivo jumps in to help his partner. Chivo checks on his partner who now his blood gushing out of a wound in the back of his head, as DVD and Asesino slowly make their way back up the entrance ramp with a smile on their face.

Natasha Ortiz: “The winners of this match as a result of a DQ and STILL sVo Tag Team Champions, The Rodriguez Brothers!”

Asesino and DVD might have just thrown away their chance to walk out as Tag Team Champions, but have they just taken out the giant Chezina?BACKSTAGE

Righting A Wrong

The scene opens up to the backstage area where we see sVo interviewer and correspondent Katie Smith standing in front of the Sunday Night Showdown backdrop, featuring two flat screen TVs: one with the Showdown logo and one with the Destiny logo. The camera pans outwards to reveal “The Reflection of Perfection” Cody Williams and Nathan Paradine standing beside Katie. Cody looks into the distance, somewhat disconnecting himself from everything as he bounces in place, Paradine patting him on the shoulders to loosen him up.

Katie Smith: Ladies and gentlemen, in just a few short moments Colt Cooper will be defending his International championship against DJ and the man standing next to me, “The Reflection of Perfection” Cody Williams. Last week on Showdown you announced that you would be using your rematch clause at Destiny to hopefully reclaim the International championship. But with Beautiful Shame posing as General Managers for the pay per view, your championship match comes one week early. Do you feel that you are fully prepared to take on the champion and your other opponent DJ tonight?

Cody stops pacing back and forth and comes to a halt. He slowly raises his right arm up to his face, removes his designer sunglasses and places them behind his head, affixed to his ears. He looks down for several seconds and lets a small smirk fill the width of his face as he slowly raises his head back up to a vertical position.

Cody Williams: I was born ready. Whether I get this championship match tonight, next week, or who knows when, I was born ready. Colt Cooper and The Company have disgraced the championship that I once called my own and it is my duty to bring it back to the Sanctioned Violence Organization and around my waist once again, where it belongs!

Katie Smith: There are people saying that you felt your days as a top performer here in the sVo were numbered and are using your rematch clause as an excuse to stay in the limelight, what are your feelings on that?

Cody Williams: I don’t see me using my rematch clause as an excuse, I don’t see it as a deesperate attempt to remain in the spotlight. But what I do see it as is Cody Williams righting a wrong. Losing the International championship two years ago was a very tough time, I was on the road to stardom, a potential World championship match was waiting in the wakes for me.

Shaking his head he lets out a sigh. He places his hands on his hips, looking downwards at the concrete underneath his feet.

Cody Williams: But I got cocky, I got comfortable and Issac White got the best of me. And tonight I will correct the mistake I made two years ago when I lost the belt, tonight I will once again become the International champion and I will bring back prestige, notareity, and recognition back to one of the most prestigious belts in the world today.

Katie Smith: Do you honestly feel in your heart of hearts that you can defeat Colt Cooper AND DJ here tonight?

Cody Williams: Colt Cooper and DJ are great athletes, there is no question about it. Colt Cooper is the International champion for a reason, and him having the belt is a reminder that he sets the bar in this division. But his tactics, his cockiness, and his croonies The Company only bring down his credibility as champion. He relies too much on his band of brothers that he easily forgets what got him the championship in the first place, his wrestling ability. And I plan on exploiting that tonight and showing him that I am not yesterday’s news. That Cody Williams still has what it takes, that Cody Williams belongs on the highest level.

He pauses for a brief moment, running his fingers through the length of his hair as he takes a deep breath.

Cody Williams: DJ, he is a tremendous athelte as well, no doubt. He is able to do things in the ring that I sometimes think is impossible and he will definitely bring a whole different level of competition to this match. But what he has in high flying capability he lacks in experience and knowledge. I have traveled all over Mother Earth to become the best possible wrestler I can be. I have perfected my craft, my art, and I have honed my ability the world over. Some call me a washed up has been, some say I have passed my prime, but I am doing things in the ring that people 10 years younger than me can’t do, and that is a true testament of the longevity of Cody Williams.

Katie Smith: Everyone is looking forward to your match tonight, and I know that you will deliver a performance like no one else can.

Cody grabs the microphone from Katie and pulls her in towards him.

Cody Williams: Tonight, I will dethrone the Company’s poster boy and bring the International Championship back home where it belongs. Colt Cooper.. DJ.. I hope you bring everything you have into the ring tonight, because best be known that I will. Because even on your best day, you were never as good as God’s gift to professional wrestling.. “The Reflection of Perfection” Cody Williams!!!

He lets go of the microphone Katie stumbles backwards a little bit. He removes his sunglasses from behind his head, gives Katie a quick wink and places them back on his face. Paradine tips his sunglasses downw the bridge of his nose and looks Katie up and down, Katie blushing almost instantly, before pushing them back up. Cody and Paradine turn around to leave but stop in their tracks, looking straight ahead in front of them with a look of confusion. The camera pans out to show that DJ is standing there in front of them, him and Cody face to face staring into each others eyes waiting for the other to initiate something. DJ then steps aside and allows Cody and Paradine to walk past him. The two of them walk away slowly, not taking their eyes off of DJ as he watches them walk down the hallway.BACKSTAGE

A Pie In The Face Is Worth Two In The Bush

“Just a little closer.”

Loki could hardly contain himself as he waited for his prey, pie in hand. Slowly but surely, one Vintor Otis rounds the corner, eyes narrowed and straight ahead.

“Perfect.”

With little hesitation Loki leaps out from his cover and smashes Vintor’s face with the pie! The pan falls to the ground with a clatter as Vintor turns to see who would even use a pie as a weapon anymore only to get smacked with Loki’s scepter! Vintor goes down hard as Loki gleefully yells.

“See you at Destiny partner!”BACKSTAGE

Hired GunsDespite losing the big Tag Team Championship match by disqualification, Asesino and DVD look in a surprisingly good mood as they make their way through the backstage area of the Goodfellas Casino Arena. Asesino and DVD look to be heading in the direction of their locker room, before the Xtreme Fusion members are stopped into their tracks by Candi Cross.

Candi Cross: “Well you guys didn’t manage to defeat the Tag Team Champions tonight, but…”

Asesino quickly stops Candi Cross in her tracks by pulling the microphone out of her hand.

Asesino: “Let me stop you right there and ask you a question Candi. What exactly has defeating the Tag Team Champions got anything to do with it?”

The interviewer looks at Asesino strangely, before answering the question honestly.

Candi Cross: “Well it would have a lot to do with it as you could have become Tag Team Champions out there tonight!”

The Xtreme Fusion members shake their heads and smile at each other.

Asesino: “Candi my name is Asesino, you know what that means in English?”

The interviewer slowly nods her head.

Candi Cross: “It means the Assassin right?”

Asesino: “Good! I can see someone paid attention in Spanish class! You see what we just did out there was assassinated the Rodriguez Brother’s chances of walking out of Destiny with those title belts. As assassins our services are up to the highest bidder, and believe me when I say we got paid well tonight!”

Candi Cross: “Then who paid you to take out the Rodriguez Brothers? Was it Roscoe Shame and Bobb…”

DVD: “Let me stop you there Candi, thats not something we are going to discuss with you.”

Asesino and DVD high five each other before making their way back to their locker room to count their money after carrying out their contract on the Rodriguez Brothers.
sVo INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP TRIPLE THREAT MATCH
Colt Cooper (c) Vs. DJ Vs. Cody Williams”Sinner” by Drowning Pool begins. On the big screen we see highlights of DJ. Then DJ comes out walking and dancing a bit toward the ring.

Natasha Ortiz: “The following match is a triple threat match scheduled for one fall with a thirty minute time limit and is for the Sanctioned Violence Organization INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP! Introducing first, from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada , he weights in at two hundred and ten pounds. The Challenger, DJ!”

The sound of a THX Dolby Digital Surround Sound test fills the arena, synched to the slow dimming of the house lights. “Head Like A Hole” (Clay Remix) by Nine Inch Nails plays on the speakers. Gold lights and lasers wander throughout the arena as smoke and the flashing of a strobe light covers the entrance way.

Bow down before the one you serve
You’re going to get what you deserve
Bow down before the one you serve
You’re going to get what you deserve

The smoke gets heavier as it settles in a foggy haze as Cody Williams makes his way through the curtain. Cody Williams slowly makes his way down the entrance ramp, slapping the hands of the fans before he steps into the ring. He rushes to the nearest corner and raises his arms up in the air, staring into the crowd. He jumps off the turnbuckle, doing a 180 turn and starts bouncing around before taking off his coat.

Natasha Ortiz: “Introducing second, from Beverly Hills, California , THE REFLECTION OF PERFECTION….. CODY WILLIAMS!”

“Ladies and Gentlemen” by Saliva hits the sound system and there are boos all around for Colt Cooper as his entrance video hits the sVo-Tron. After waiting a few seconds, Colt Cooper appears on the ramp with the sVo International Championship belt over his shoulder. He positions both of his arms out, tapping his belt and taunting the crowd. A spectrum of black and blue strobe lights fill up the arena followed by a down pour of confetti. Colt struts his way to the ring extending his hands to some of his fans, and gives the middle finger to the fans of sVo who don’t like him.

Natasha Ortiz: “AND THE CHALLENGER, REPRESENTING THE COMPANY, FROM Hollywood, California HE IS THE sVo INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION, COLT COOPER!”

With the champion and his two challengers in the ring, Colt Cooper hands the sVo International Championship belt to the referee who holds it into the air to signal that it will be on the line in tonight’s triple threat match! All three men look up at the belt as the fans cheer on their favourite as the referee hands the belt out of the ring and calls for the bell to be rung.

As the bell rings for the match to begin all three men look around at each other waiting for each other to make the first move. Cody Williams and DJ slowly begin to make their way towards each other, before they feint and rush towards Colt Cooper, knocking down the champion with a double team clothesline to the delight of the crowd! Colt Cooper staggers up to his feet but he receives a knee to the midsection from Cody Williams, who bounces into the ring ropes before taking down his opponent with a rolling neckbreaker!

The Champion looks like he is going to have no advantage in this match as he rises up to his feet, only to get hit with a spinning heel kick from DJ! With the challengers ganging up on him, Colt Cooper quickly rolls to the outside of the ring to regroup. The fans quickly begin to boo as Colt Cooper stares up at the two men in the ring, who stare straight back at him! Colt Cooper waves off the fans and his opponents as he marches around to the announcers table and picks up the International Championship belt, before beginning to walk around to the entrance ramp!

Seeing that Colt Cooper is planning on forgetting about the match and leaving with his belt, the fans quickly begin to boo until DJ and Cody Williams roll out of the ring and cut of the Champion. DJ grabs hold of the ‘Star Studden’ icon and throws him hard into the steel ring steps, before Cody Williams lays into him with some stiff kicks. DJ and Cody Williams seem to be on the same page as Cody Williams pulls Colt Cooper up to his feet as DJ makes his way around to the announcers table and clears it of all the monitors! The announcers quickly flee under protest as Cody Williams walks Colt Cooper around and bounces his head off of the announcers table!

The fans are loving the turn of events as Cody Williams motions to DJ before throwing Colt Cooper onto the announcers table. DJ quickly retreats back into the ring, before climbing to the turnbuckle nearest the table! The fans rise to their feet in anticipation for what they are about to see as Cody Williams lays into Colt Cooper with some last minute punches to the face as DJ stands on the top rope! Cody Williams steps to one side, as DJ leaps from the top rope looking for a frog splash on Colt Cooper through the table…

However the team work doesn’t last too long as Cody Williams pulls Colt Cooper out of harms way just in time, sending DJ crashing through the table! There is a mixed reaction from the fans as Cody Williams throws Colt Cooper head first into the ring, before rolling in himself! DJ lays motionless in the wreckage of the announcers table as Cody Williams pulls a stunned Colt Cooper up to a standing position. Colt Cooper staggers around for a few seconds before being drilled down to the mat with a ‘Pure Perfection’ from Cody Williams! With DJ laying in the wreckage of the table, Cody Williams makes the cover on Colt Cooper in the middle of the ring!

Cody Williams face is a picture of shock as somehow Colt Cooper gets a shoulder up off of the mat before the three is counted. Cody Williams shakes his head in disbelief as he rises up to his feet and pulls Colt Cooper up with him. Cody Williams quickly nails Colt Cooper with another ‘Pure Perfection’ as DJ begins to stagger up to his feet from the wreckage of the table. With Colt Cooper down, Cody Williams adds a few stomps to his face for good measure, before making a second cover.

One…

DJ catapults himself over the top rope and into the ring with a leg drop across the back of Cody Williams’ neck to break up the cover! The fans give a mixed reaction as DJ pulls Cody Williams up to his feet, before tossing him over the top rope and to the outside of the ring! With Cody Williams on the outside, Colt Cooper slowly staggers up despite the amount of offence he has already taken. DJ quickly takes him down with a running bulldog takedown, before jumping to the second rope and landing a perfect lionsault onto the champion! The fans cheer the big move as the groggy DJ climbs to his feet and taunts to the fans.

Colt Cooper slowly staggers to his feet, but as he does DJ throws him into the corner of the ring before hitting him with a springboard backflip elbow smash! As Colt Cooper drops down, DJ locks in the ‘Future Lock’ on his opponent to try and force a submission victory! Colt Cooper desperately reaches out for the bottom rope to attempt to break the hold as he feels the International Championship belt slowly slipping away from him!

The referee asks Colt Cooper if he would like to submit, but before he can make the decision the hold is broken as Cody Williams rolls into the ring and stomps on the back of DJ’s head! Cody Williams quickly grabs hold of Colt Cooper and pulls him to a standing position, before loading him onto his shoulders. Fighting With Shadows

Nightmare is seen walking through the maze of corridors that is the backstage area at the Goodfellas Casino Arena to make his exit, a large duffel bag hanging from his left shoulder. The part of the arena he moves through seems particularly quiet and this is even more noticeable as he enters a large, dimly lit cargo area. Various props, sets, lights and rigs as well as parts for a spare ring and a large steel cage fill the dimly lit room. The masked wrestler comes to a dead stop as he spots what is becoming a now familiar sight…

… the shadowed figure.

And for once, the silhouette seems not to see the masked man coming. Silently, Nightmare places his duffel on the ground next to a large piece of rigging before stalking painstakingly quietly towards the figure, now concealed by the shadows himself.

Nightmare sets himself as he reaches striking distance.

Baring his teeth and roaring he leaps from his dark hiding-spot, leaping at the silhouetted figure and tackling him to the ground before hitting him hard across the face. Finally face to face and with the mysterious stalker dazed and pinned to the ground Nightmare eagerly grabs the man’s hood and rips it back from his face… before merely staring blankly and then questioningly at the face before him.

Nightmare: “Who the fuck are you?”

Man: “F… Frank Daniels…”

The man… Frank… is visibly shaken and groggy from Nightmare’s attack.

Nightmare: “I repeat my question – ‘who the fuck are you’, Frank Daniels? I’ve never seen your face in my life. Why have you been creeping around and following me for the last few weeks?”

Frank Daniels: “I just work rigging… I’m just back here picking up some spare cable…”

Frank sounds desperate and is clearly nervous.

Nightmare: “DON’T LIE TO ME!”

• : “He’s not.”

The masked man looks up and lets out a roar – only to be silenced as a boot slams into his face, sending him flying off Frank and slamming into a nearby corridor wall. He writhes on the ground as Frank’s saviour stalks towards him, kicking him again in the head.

Nightmare: “Worthless piece of chicken-shit…”

• : “… I could say the same to you…”

Nightmare: “So here we are. You’ve know where I was all night – hell, I looked for you and you wait here to ambush me. I saw what you said last week. So tell me… who are you?”

• : “… change of plans. You’ll see my face next week at Destiny. Until then, you’ll just have to take a guess.”

And with that, the mysterious man strides off, vanishing into the darkness and once more leaving Nightmare frustrated and wondering.
SINGLE MATCH
Jay Wildman Vs. Grimnir”End of Line” by Daft Punk plays over the PA system as the house lights alternate from green to black lighting and back again. After a few moments of playing, the house lights go out completely for a few moments before they flare to life again with Jay Wildman standing in the center of the ring, his hand pointed up in the air in defiance. He walks over to the corner, steps up to the second belt buckle and stares out into the crowd before hopping down, preparing himself for the match at hand.

Natasha Ortiz: “The following match is the main event for this evening and is scheduled for one fall with a thirty minute time limit! Introducing first, he is the reigning sVo WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION OF THE WOOOOOORLD, JAY WILDMAN!!”

Wildman stands in the ring after handing off his title and grabbing a microphone from the announcer, walks to the ropes facing the entrance and smiles. He waits for the Amos sucks chants to die down before addressing the crowd.

Wildman: So, this is how it’s going to be? Amos, I thought you were something different. I thought you were the one who could actually beat me fair and square in the middle of this ring. You could have been the greatest champion this place ever knew, probably better than Night himself. Instead, you resort to cheating and lying to get an advantage and even while doing so, you can’t seem to keep me down. No matter what you throw at me, I’m still here Sammy.

He walks over to the ring post and climbs up to the top, taking a seat as he continues to look out towards the entrance.

Wildman: Come on out Sammy, let’s end this right here tonight. Let’s not wait for Destiny. We should make our own destiny right here in front of these loyal fans! Be the loyal, silent puppet for the Company and let’s get this over and done with because when I’m finished with you, you’ll wish you never made it through One Shot!

The dull tones pick up speed as the haunting voice of a woman sings. As the voice reaches full pitch, the arena’s houselights washes out the arena in light before returning to normal, leaving Grimnir standing at the entrance. He starts to slowly walk down as the hammering drums and energy filled riffs grind through to his very last step. He stands at the front of the ring, points up the sky with both hands, slides into the ring and then kneels, looking as if he were praying. He stays there for a moment and then springs up to his feet, ready for action.

With Grimnir and Jay Wildman both in the ring the two begin to tear into each other with big right hands in the middle of the ring. Wildman slowly gets the better of the fist fight and backs the masked Grimnir into the corner of the ring before beating him down to a seated position. With Grimnir in the corner, Wildman begins to stomp away on the masked superstar who everyone thought was Jay Wildman!

The fans cheer Wildman as he retreats back into the middle of the ring, but as he does Grimnir rises up to his feet! Grimnir bursts forward and knocks down Wildman with a big clothesline to the suprise of the World Champion! Wildman rises back up to his feet, but as he does Grimnir takes him down with a scoop slam, before dropping an elbow across the upper body of the World Champion! Jay Wildman quickly rises up to his feet, but Grimnir is there with a spinning heel kick to knock Wildman back against the ropes. With Wildman on the ropes, Grimnir grabs his opponent by the arm and shoots him into the ropes. Wildman bounces back into the middle of the ring and Grimnir nails him with a Lui Thesz press with some big mounted punches!

There is a mixed reaction from the fans for the move most commonly used by Samuel Amos, as Jay Wildman spins up to his feet and looks suspiciously at Grimnir. Jay Wildman dives forward and takes down his opponet with a side head lock takedown, but Grimnir quickly rolls out of the hold. Jay Wildman gets to his feet, but as he does Grimnir position’s him for an ‘infAMOS’! The fans rise to their feet and quickly begin to boo, is it Samuel Amos under the Grimnir mask?

Jay Wildman manages to counter the move into a backdrop, before knocking Grimnir down to the mat with a standing dropkick. With Grimnir down on the mat, Wildman quickly leaps down and tries to tear the mask off of his opponent to expose the #1 contender to his sVo World Heavyweight Championship belt! However as he does there is further confusion as a second Grimnir leaps out of the crowd with a steel chair in hand!

The fans cheer the apperance of the second Grimnir as he rolls into the ring with the chair, until he blasts Jay Wildman in the face with the chair! The World Champion hits the mat as the original Grimnir slowly rises up to his feet. The two Grimnir’s stare at each other, before the second Grimnir smashes the orginal Grimnir with the chair as well! The crowd boos loudly as the second Grimnir throws the chair down to the mat, before peeling off the mask to reveal himself as Samuel Amos!

The One Shot winner stands over the World Heavyweight Champion who lays on the mat, a trickle of blood running down his face from where he was blasted in the head with the chair! If Samuel Amos is able to make Jay Wildman bleed like that this Sunday at Destiny, then we will have a new sVo World Heavyweight Champion!
