sVo Showdown Episode #066
9th January 2011
Goodfellas Casino Arena, Las Vegas Nevada

“Natural High” by The Union Underground hits the sound system as the sVo Showdown entrance video hits the screens of TV’s all over the world! The video featuring the likes of sVo Champion Jay Wildman, Roscoe Shame, Nightmare, Bobby Dean and Samuel Amos shows some of the best action to have ever taken place on the flagship show of the Sanctioned Violence Organization.

As the video comes to an end, the camera cuts to the arena and pans around the sold out crowd as pyro’s shoot up from the entrance stage whilst the theme music continues to blast out over the sound system. The camera picks out several signs in the crowd as the fireworks continue to explode around the ringside area.

The camera then pans across to the entrance stage, where a video recap of last weeks action is shown on the giant Violence-Tron before tonight’s action gets under-way.

LAST WEEK ON ONE SHOT 2011Samuel Amos overcame twenty nine other competitors to win the One Shot Match and earn himself a shot at the sVo Worls Heavyweight Championship belt…..

Both men lay motionless on the mat wondering just what it is going to take to eliminate the other man. Bobby Dean slowly rises up to his feet, and the crowd begin to boo as he looks down at Samuel Amos. Dean slowly reaches down and pulls Amos up by his hair, before dragging him towards the ring ropes. Amos looks like he might be out on his feet, as Bobby Dean tosses him over the top rope.

However before Amos’ feet can hit the floor, he manages to grab hold of the top rope! Bobby Dean turns around with his hands in the air thinking that he has won the match! The crowd boo loudly as BBD continues to celebrate, as Amos rolls back into the ring under the bottom rope.

Did Amos’ feet touch the floor?

The officials at ringside look like they are going to let the match continue as Samuel Amos grabs Bobby Dean from behind, and throws him over the top rope and to the floor below!

The fans cheer as Samuel Amos sinks to his knees, whilst Bobby Dean looks up at the ring wondering what the hell is going on. “Your Betrayal” by Bullet for my Valentine blasts over the sound system as Samuel Amos celebrates the victory in the middle of the ring. Bobby Dean has to be restrained from getting back into the ring by the officials at ringside as Samuel Amos continues to celebrate his victory. An enraged Bobby Dean slowly makes his way back up the entrance ramp shaking his head in disbelief as Samuel Amos climbs the nearest turnbuckle and celebrates his win, and earning himself the first sVo World Heavyweight Championship match of 2011 against the new Champion Jay Wildman.RINGSIDE

Admitting Guilt“End of Line” plays over the PA system as Jay Wildman walks out from the entry way, making his way towards the ring. He is dressed in a black suit with a dark green tie, his hair pulled back into a tight ponytail. He makes his way around the ring to the steps, climbing up them and into the ring. He stands in the ring as the crowd cheers for him, allowing a moment for it all to sink in. He motions for his music to cut as he brings the mic in his hand up to his mouth and begins to speak.

Wildman: What a strange, wild ride. I left this place almost three years ago after having a fight with the people in the back and now, look at me. I am the sVo World Heavyweight champion and on top of the ladder at the moment. You know what? The view looks great!

The crowd cheers, forcing Jay to motion for them to calm down.

Wildman: I know you all have been going through a lot with the previous champion trying to pull the wool over your eyes, what with the finger poke of doom and forming a perfect union of jackasses. I am sorry you all have to put up with this little war between Page and Anderson, I am sorry we have to go through all of this together. I assure you, I will do my best to keep you all entertained and give this title the respect it deserves.

The fans chant “Show us Grimnir” followed by clapping, which makes Wildman smile. He shakes his head in disbelief before addressing the crowd, giving them the answer they wanted for three weeks.

Wildman: All right, I admit it. I am Grimnir, or I was at one point and time. I used the mask to break back into the business, giving me a whole different perspective on the world. I even learned how to play nice with others by using my foot! However, the night I won this title I actually had no idea who was behind the mask nor did I ask for anyone to come out to assist me. Trust me; this is as much of a mystery to me as it is to you. I have one thing to say to whoever it was behind the mask. I should sue the hell out of you for copyright infringement. You leave my mask out of your plans, you hear me?

Jay looks around the arena before setting his eyes back on the camera, this time his look very serious.

Wildman: Amos, I know you managed to win One Shot. I know you gave me a hell of a match when we met last but I have two things you don’t. The most important is the Word title, the second is the cunning of a wily veteran. You might be a beast, you might have been Tap Out champion and you even survived after coming out first at One Shot but you won’t get this belt off of me without a fight. Besides, we all know you did something I never did. You tapped out to Asesino. I never tapped out. Hell, I never even got pinned over the last three months! You should feel proud for such an accomplishment, Amos. I hope you don’t hurt yourself before our match; I would hate to think someone else would get to you before I do.

Jay drops the mic and rolls out of the ring, adjusting his tie as he walks back towards the entrance as the crowd cheers.BACKSTAGE

Compliments and ConversationsThe scene opens up to the backstage area where we see “The Reflection of Perfection” Cody Williams walking down the hallway. He is wearing a grey Armani suit, his hair tied back, sunglasses affixed to the bridge of his nose, and his newly acquired TapOut championship over his shoulder. He waves to several backstage assistants as he continues to make his trek down the long hallway leading to the locker room area. Cody stops and flashes a grin, the shot pans outwards to the left to reveal the Las Vegas champion Nathan Paradine standing there wearing his trademark sunglasses, ParaPlex t-shirt and the Las Vegas championship draped over his shoulder.

Cody Williams: Nathan.

Paradine looks Cody up and down and nods his head.

Nathan Paradine: Cody.

Cody Williams: Nice t-shirt.

Nathan Paradine: Thanks, nice suit.

Cody extends his arm outwards towards Nathan Paradine and gently touches the Las Vegas championship, grazing it with his finger tips. Nathan turns his head towards the centerplate, staring at Cody’s hand prompting Cody to slowly retreat.

Cody Williams: Nice belt.

Paradine tilts his head sideways at the comment of Cody and turns his attention to the belt in Cody’s possession and extends his arm towards it, extending his index finger and pushes up against the belt, tapping it several times.

Nathan Paradine: Same to you.

Cody Williams: I told you, it was nothing personal. It was strictly business. Speaking of business, have you thought about it?

Nathan Paradine: I have, I thought about it a lot actually.

Williams nods his head and smirks at Paradine, fixing the championship on his shoulder.

Cody Williams: And?

Paradine presses his sunglasses down onto the bridge of his nose and removes the Las Vegas championship from his shoulder and folds it up, clutching it in his right arm and presses it against the side of his body.

Nathan Paradine: There still needs to be some discussion to further work out the kinks, but I think its something that can be done.

Cody Williams: You won’t regret it!

“The Reflection of Perfection” extends his hand out towards Nathan Paradine and offers a handshake. Paradine looks down at the peace offering for several seconds before returning the gesture. The two exchange grins and break the handshake. Cody steps to the side and extends his hand out to his right and gestures for Paradine to go first. Paradine obliges and passes Cody who follows him not too close behind.BACKSTAGE

Colt Cooper addresses the sVoCameras are flashing and reporters are gathered up in the Goodfellas conference room for an address by the “Diamond In The Ruff” Colt Cooper. Only thing is he hasn’t showed up yet. Their hasn’t been a mention of him being at the arena. The reporters have become anxious. This address is something the whole world needs to hear.

Lian: “I just got word that Colt is in the building.”

The reporters fight for positions closer to the podium until they become one big stirring pot waiting for Colt’s arrival. With the door being opened taps are being heard. Everyone expects it to be Colt, and they are right. In steps “Mister Star Studded.” sporting a black t-shirt, but in white bold letters engraved on it was The Company. A special shirt in the mind of Coops. It’s his first Company t-shirt. He wore no jeans. His trunks were already on because his match would be coming up shortly. Glasses were on his face to hide his marijuana infested eyes. He steps to the podium with a bottled water in hand. He smirks and begins to address the sVo.

Colt: “I’m glad you all could join me on this evening. But most importantly gathering up to get this address out further than the sVo. Everyone needs to know what’s going to happen, and with you guys it can. So pat yourselves on the back for that.”

All the reporters look at each other with puzzled looks.

Colt: “Go ahead.”

Their faces are still puzzled, but the shrug in their shoulders implicated that they were going to do it. They pat themselves on the back, and Colt burst out laughing.

Colt: “You guys are idiots. Just like everyone else in this god damn world. On the exception of a few, but let’s get down to why we’re really here. We’re here to see I address the sVo. That’s what I’m going to do. See, I was very pissed at myself that I didn’t win the One Shot royal, and it makes me even pissed that Samuel Amos was the victor. If I could make my own schedule, that bitch would be my very next opponent. Him or either Jay Wildman.

He pauses and takes a swallow from the bottle water and wipes the liquid from his mouth with his arm.

Colt: “Another thing I’m upset with is that Ethan Rider outlast me in the Royal. I basically brung the guy into the SvO, and molded him into the best competitor he can be. He may have outsmarted me, but in due time I’ll out wit him.”

Colt: “Now let’s get to the point. The point of this whole address is that I’m putting the sVo on notice. Giving you all the memo that this year is not anyone’s year except for mines. I don’t care who comes back. What new faces make a splash. I’m aiming for total dominance, and that’s what I’m going to do. I’m the upper tier star in the organization, and it doesn’t take brains to know that. 2011 is CC11 and nobody is going to stop me and The Company. Now, you may ask questions.”

Fiona: “What about your match tonight with Cody Williams?”

Colt smirks and takes off his glasses looking dead at the reporter.

Colt: “I know he’s happy to be off of the injured reserve list, but it has happened at the wrong time. Also, I’ve heard the boring statement he said just to back up his short stint with my International Title. If the competition was so steep, then where are those guys now? I don’t know, but take a look at his record. Their has to be competition now, and competition that he can’t beat. It’s not getting any lighter for him because tonight he faces the man that’s about to go on a murking spree.

Kelly: “What are you planning on for Destiny?

Colt: “Well DJ has purchased a shot at my International title, and it only means one thing for me. A tough title defense, but one that I will defend by regaining my title. As shown last night. I mean business when it comes to this title, and The Company. Anybody trying to take those from me will have to be dealt with. Now excuse me. I have a match to attend to.

Colt places his glasses back on his face and exits out of the conference room.BACKSTAGE

Still a Person of InterestThe black Mercedes pulls into the parking lot behind the Goodfellas Arena. Roscoe Shame steps out, looking as though he hasn’t slept in a couple of days. The haggard man pulls his gym bag out of the car and makes his way towards the back entrance. As soon as he reaches the door two men he knows very well approach him from behind.

“Mr. Shame how are you doing this fine evening?” asks one of the men.

Roscoe turns around and is face to face with both Detective Bart and Detective Perry from the Las Vegas Police Department.

“What do I owe the pleasure of your presence?” Shame shoots back.

“We were in the neighborhood and wanted to let you know that we are tracking down some leads on your father’s whereabouts” answers Detective Perry.

“Well you efforts are appreciated.”

Roscoe nods at the men and walks past them. He opens the door but Detective Bart’s words stop him in his tracks.

“Let it be known that you are still a person of interest Roscoe.”

The words shoot a shiver down Shame’s spine. He wanted to turn around and choke the man, but he thought the better of it and walks through the door and into the arena. As the two detectives get in their car a man with a hooded sweatshirt appears from around the corner of the building after hearing the conversation.
SINGLE MATCH
Reaper vs. Nathan ParadineThe lights slowly dim as the crowd starts to get anxious. The electric chords of “Follow The Reaper” by Children of Bodom blares over the pa system as the man known simply as Reaper steps out onto the stage. Reaper stands center stage as a bright white spotlight shines on him. He raises his arms in the air taunting at the crowd. Reaper leans his head back and gives a primal roar towards the crowd as he snaps his head back. The cameras getting a close look at the intensity in his eyes as he starts to march his way down the ramp way. Reaper makes his way to the apron where he slides under the bottom rope into the ring. He uses the second rope to lift himself back up to his feet, before backing away into the corner to await the start of the match.

“Sorry, You’re Not A Winner” by Enter Shikari blasts around the arena as Nathan Paradine appears at the top of the ramp, his arms crossed over his chest and his head bowed as the lights reflect off the Las Vegas Championship belt around his waist. He glances up and points out towards the crowd, basking in their cheers. He marches down to the ring and slides in underneath the bottom rope, climbing to his feet and raising an arm up into the air as the music dies away.

The bell rings! The fans cheer as both competitors begin to circle each other, arms raised. They both lock up after a few moments and struggle for dominance, Reaper pushing Paradine backwards into the corner. Paradine attempts to cover up as Reaper delivers several strong strikes to his ribs, slacking against the turnbuckle and sinking down to the ground. Reaper grabs the top rope and mud stomps the “Australian Submission Machine”, the entire crowd eliciting a groan as Paradine slumps forward in pain.

Reaper pulls Paradine to his feet and moves towards the middle of the ring before applying a headlock and dropping down. Paradine struggles against the hold, reaching desperately for the ropes. As his face reddens the referee asks if he would like to tap out however he shakes his head and grabs Reaper’s arm, trying and failing to pull it away. He then manages to get up on to one knee, creating enough of an opening to drive his elbow back into Reaper’s torso.

Reaper releases the hold and backs away clutching his stomach as Paradine rises to his feet, sucking in huge lungfuls of air before turning to face Reaper. He attempts to strike out but Reaper swats his arm away with ease. Paradine manages to catch him on the backswing though knocking Reaper off balance before running to the ropes, rebounding and catching Reaper with a running bulldog.

Paradine elbows Reaper in the head then applies a crossface chickenwing, screaming at Reaper to tap out. Reaper roars and manages to0 free his trapped arm, throwing it back and connecting with Paradine. Paradine releases the submission hold and rolls backwards and Reaper stands up, rolling his shoulders.

Both men lock up once again, with Reaper ducking underneath a clothesline attempt and executing a go-behind, wrapping his arms around Paradine’s waist and slamming him flat onto the mat. Reaper stomps down on Paradine before grabbing his arm and applying an armlock, bending his arm backwards as far as it will allow and then some, eliciting a shriek of pain from Paradine. Before Reaper can do any serious damage he manages to get his leg up onto the rope and the referee orders Reaper to release the hold.

Reaper reluctantly obliges, standing up and backing up into the corner. Reaper watches as Paradine staggers to his feet clutching his arm… as he turns around… Reaper charges forwards and looks to hit the superkick to the throat he calls the Kick of Death, however Paradine ducks underneath his outstretched leg and turns around, taking advantage of Reaper’s moment of disbelief to hook the leg and hit his own ParaPlex finisher! Paradine hooks the leg!

ONE!

KICKOUT!

Reaper kicks out of the pin attempt with force, sending Paradine rolling away. Both men remain on the mat for a moment before climbing to the feet and trading a series of punches, Paradine eventually falling back into the ropes. Reaper charges forward and attempts to clothesline him over the top rope however Paradine drops, pulling the ropes with him. Both men tumbles to ringside and immediately begin brawling, Reaper forcing Paradine onto the steel barricade and relentless slamming his fist into his head.

Paradine pushes Reaper away and tackles him into the steel stairs as the referee screams “ten”, calling for the bell and declaring the match a no-contest. Reaper kicks Paradine away and stands up, both men finally realizing that the match is over. Paradine places his hands on his hips and shakes his head in disbelief while Reaper simply kicks the stairs and marches backstage in anger.

OUTCOME: No ContestBACKSTAGE

An Offer You Can’t RefuseNathan Paradine is shown sitting in his locker room after his match against Reaper, holding an icepack to his head and looking slightly worse for wear. There is a loud knock on the door and Paradine glances up.

Nathan Paradine: “It’s open.”

The door can be heard opening and closing and Cody Williams walks into view, the TapOut Championship slung over his shoulder. Cody slides his designer sunglasses down to the tip of his nose and raises his eyebrow.

Cody Williams: “You look like hell.”

Nathan Paradine: “I kinda realized that, but thanks for the heads up anyway.”

Cody chuckles and pushes his glasses back up, before making sure the title belt is sitting comfortably on his shoulder. He sits down next to Paradine and claps him on the shoulder loudly.

Cody Williams: “So, even though you’ve been busy getting your ass kicked from ringpost to ringpost-“

Nathan Paradine: “Watch it, sunshine.”

Cody Williams: “- have you made a decision yet?”

Nathan Paradine: “Well… yes. I have thought about it, and I’ve made a decision.”

Cody Williams: “Which is?”

Paradine pauses a moment, obviously considering his decision very carefully.

Nathan Paradine: “Yes. My decision is yes.”

Cody shakes Paradine’s hand, obviously please with his choice.

Cody Williams: “Good man! I knew you’d come through in the end, you’re definitely not going to regret this!”

The scene cuts back to the ring as Cody and Paradine lean forward, talking in quiet voices… could this have something to do with their meeting earlier in the evening?

The fans cheer loudly for the man that they believe has come back to save the sVo, as he waits to address the crowd.

Page: “Matt Anderson has tried to have me banned from the building tonight…”

There are loud boos from the crowd directed towards the main man of the Company.

Page: “But then again he has been trying to keep me out of here for months and not having much success! sVo is a house that I helped create. I know more about the Company than most, and I am not about to let them destroy this place!”

The fans cheer loudly, but before Page can continue there is a mass of boos as ‘Real Solution #9’ by White Zombie blasts out over the sound system, and Matt Anderson walks out onto the top of the entrance ramp. The crowd boo, and Page shakes his head to show what he thinks of the statement.

Matt Anderson: “But if you do insist on turning up week after week, the least you can do is compete for all these fans… in a No DQ match tonight!”

The fans cheer loudly, as Page gestures for Anderson to come down to the ring and get it on.

Matt Anderson: “Wait you don’t think I am going to fight you do you? Apart from my little cameo last week I am retired from the ring. Something which you will be as well after you get ripped apart by this man…”

BBD: $100,000 from myself.

Roscoe Shame: And another $100,000 from me.

Anderson, confused as to why he was looking at such a large sum of money asks the million dollar question. Well more like the 200,000 dollar question.

Anderson: For?

Roscoe Shame: You’re looking at the new GM’s for the Night of Destiny.

BBD: Suck on deez nuts bitch!

Roscoe and Anderson both look over at BBD with perplexed looks on their faces. BBD shrugs his shoulders at both men.

BBD: Always wanted to use that, never found the right time to throw it in…

Anderson begins to count the money as Roscoe Shame, with an exasperated shake of his head, turns and walks out of the office with an arrogantly smiling Bobby Dean on his heels.

OUTCOME: Samuel Amos defeats Howard Thompson via pinfallBACKSTAGE

DestinyStanding backstage, Candi Cross, microphone in hand is ready for the upcoming interview with former Tag Team champion, International Champion, and Las Vegas Champion, “Beautiful” Bobby Dean. With the cameras rolling, Bobby Dean strolls onto the scene, adorned in his baby blue, diamond encrusted robe. Sliding up to Candi Cross the suave Bobby Dean wraps his arm around the gorgeous waist of Cross.

Candi Cross: I don’t need to go through your accolades Bobby Dean, but I must ask a question that has been on a lot of people’s minds since you re-signed with the sVo.

BBD: Talking, blah blah blah, wouldn’t you rather be doing something a bit more useful with that mouth of yours?

Candi Cross: Now with your dreams of becoming the next sVo World Champion, once again dashed, first by Roscoe Shame at Roll the Dice, then by Jay Wildman at Seasons Beatings, and now by Samuel Amos at One Shot, what exactly is next for ‘Beautiful’ Bobby Dean?

With the crude, heart wrenching, and oh so very blunt question by Candi Cross, Bobby Dean’s arm falls off her shoulders, as he takes a step away from the wily vixen.

BBD: First, we all know Amos has no chance of beating Jay, it’s sort of like an intermission. Everyone will use this time to go to the bathroom, get refreshments and then once Amos is out of the way, the Name that Entertains will be back in the hunt.

Candi Cross: What makes you think you’d be next in line after Amos?

BBD: Now, as to what my current plans are, let me break it down to you all. I’m holding a little contest if you will. All my Beautiful fans out there are going to be able to decide my fate. You see, when I re-signed with the sVo, I was guaranteed a rematch at one of three titles. The Tag Team titles, the International title, or the Las Vegas title.

Candi Cross: You’re fans will decide?

Like an American Idol knock off, a phone number at the bottom of the screen appears.

BBD: That’s correct. By simply texting one of these three numbers, the fans will decide what title they will see around this beautiful waist.

Three numbers scroll across the screen one by one as Bobby Dean stands there all smiles.

Candi Cross: Well there you have it folks. If you’re one of the few that actually cares where Bobby’s career is headed, make the call today.

Bobby looks at the cross Candi and smirks.

BBD: I like ’em feisty. We should totally make out.

Candi Cross: I’m Candi Cross and I’m getting the hell out of here.

Ethan Rider bursts out from the gorilla position, and the crowds chants rise in noise and pitch. Rider smiles and nods humbly at the Goodfellas capacity crowd, before rolling under the bottom rope, motioning for the music to be cut.

Rider: “Thank you, SvO!”

The crowd erupt into another round of cheers, and Rider smiles, waiting for them to die down.

Rider: “It sure is great to be out here, but there’s one thing I need to adress, before anything else. Nathan Paradine and my upcoming Las Vegas title match.”

**CHEER**

Rider: “As you all know, when I defeated The Teacher at Seasons Beatings, I earned the right to finally challenge for a title belt. That chance is drawing ever closer, and already DJ seems to be paying off management for a chance to get into that match.”

**Cheer**

Rider: “But I digress. There are further matters to discuss with you all… To Paradine, I look forward to our match, be it with DJ or not.”

“Woah, Woah, Woah, Woah, Woah, Woah Woah…”

The camera pans around, showing Matt Anderson on the ramp, flanked by his posse, The Company. James Von Drake, Howard Thompson, Nightmare and Colt Cooper slowly begin to walk to the ring, obeying Andersons silent request to them. The crowd begin to boo and jeer as The Company members pass Anderson one by one.

Anderson: “You really are the runt of the litter, aren’t you, Mockingjay? When you came into my office, demanding a title shot if you faced and defeated Teacher… your simple brain really gave birth to the idea that I was actually going to GIVE you that shot?”

Rider: “You’re having a fucking laugh, Matt.”

Anderson: “No, Ethan. I’m not as pathetic as you. I knew you weren’t going to face Teacher unless you, being the greedy, selfish child that you are, were given something in return. So, I ‘promised’ you a Vegas title shot, because that was the only way you were gong to do your bloody job and strike off another pawn of the rebellion.”

**BOO**

Anderson: “So, just to clear that up… No. You will not be facing Paradine at Destiny. You will do exaclty as I fucking tell you, because if you don’t stand the hell with us, you WILL suffer the consequences.”

Anderson pulls a contract from his pocket, accompanied with the video tape documenting Rider in a full-on brawl two years ago. Suddenly, Ethan vaults the top rope, and the crowd go wild, voicing their ecstasy as Rider sprints up the ramp towards Matt. Matt laughs at Ethans beatdown, despite the fact that Rider is still suffering from two bullets through his body and his tough match earlier in the night with DVD. Matt stands over him, and Ethans eyes blink slowly, before Anderson rains a torrent of saliva into his face. The crowd erupt into a volley of disgusted boos once more, but The Company is oblivious, and slowly they turn and leave the broken Ethan Rider laying in the middle of the arena.

DefacedThe screams heard echoing throughout the halls of the backstage area of the GoodFellas Arena are blood curdling. Wrestlers stick their heads out into the hall from their locker rooms with a sense of wonderment and a bit of fear as the screams continue from somewhere off in the distance. A camera crew is scrambling like it’s the 2011 edition of the Blair Witch, but suddenly they are stopped in their tracks as they stumble upon the source of the screams.

Lying in a pool of blood clutching his torn and tattered face is the once ‘Beautiful’ Bobby Dean. Screaming out in agony and anguish a muddled censor blurb appears over Bobby’s face as the scene is quite stomach churning. Hovering nearby with an eerie child like smile upon his face is a man unknown to the sVo federation. Holding a bloody scalpel in his hand, this unknown force, happily spreads the blood, Bobby’s blood, onto his own face while whistling a merry little tune.

The screams suddenly stop as the camera crew switch their focus from the mysterious newcomer back to Bobby Dean just in time to see the ‘beautiful’ one pass out, be it from blood loss or sheer agony, no one is certain. With Medics and staff on their way the newcomer casually strolls down the hall, continuing to whistle his happy little tune while he glides his hand across the wall as he walks, leaving a trail of blood, Bobby’s blood, in his wake.
