sVo Showdown Episode #063
28th November 2010
Goodfellas Casino Arena, Las Vegas Nevada

“Natural High” by The Union Underground hits the sound system as the sVo Showdown entrance video hits the screens of TV’s all over the world! The video featuring the likes of sVo Champion Roscoe Shame, Night, Bobby Dean and Grimnir shows some of the best action to have ever taken place on the flagship show of the Sanctioned Violence Organization.

As the video comes to an end, the camera cuts to the arena and pans around the sold out crowd as pyro’s shoot up from the entrance stage whilst the theme music continues to blast out over the sound system. The camera picks out several signs in the crowd such as “I’m the Masked Man!”, “Marry Me Tamara!” & “I Love the Unlikely Hero” as the fireworks continue to explode around the ringside area.

The camera then pans across to the entrance stage, where a video recap of last weeks action is shown on the giant Violence-Tron before tonight’s action gets under-way.

LAST WEEK ON SHOWDOWN #62The Masked Man paid a visit to Nathan Paradine at the end of Showdown…..

Nathan Paradine is shown standing in his locker room, getting dressed to leave the Goodfellas Arena and return to his hotel suite. He gingerly buttons his shirt, still feeling the effects of the attack from earlier in the evening, when suddenly the lights above him flicker. He looks up in puzzlement before shrugging and picking up his jacket, sliding it on before reaching into his bag. Suddenly the lights blink out, leaving the room in total darkness.

Nathan Paradine: “Bloody hell! What’s happening now?”

The light suddenly returns and Nathan glances around, quickly discovering that he is no longer alone in the room. The Masked Man steps into view, his arms folded over his chest. Nathan jumps, massaging his chest as he does so.

Nathan Paradine: “You do know how spooky you are, right?”

Mystery Man: “I’ve been told that you wanted to speak to me. Hurry up and spit it out Paradine, I’m a busy man. I don’t like being here… it brings back too many memories.”

Nathan Paradine: “So… it is you, then?”

Mystery Man: “Yes. I don’t know how your friend managed it… but she’s managed to do something the entire Company has failed at for some time. I’d appreciate it if you kept my identity to yourself for the time being, however.”

Nathan Paradine: “Of course. I don’t understand though… why are you still hiding in the shadows? Why haven’t you stepped out to fight for the sVo, to fight for the place you helped to build?”

Mystery Man: “Some people would say I don’t have the right, after the things I’ve done.”

Nathan Paradine: “Some people would say it was your duty.”

Mystery Man: “Duty? You’re making it sound like I’m some kind of soldier.”

Nathan chuckles, butting his jacket as he speaks.

Nathan Paradine: “We’re all soldiers. This is a war, my friend. The Company versus the Sanctioned Violence Organization, with every man and woman on the roster choosing a side. It’s only a matter of time.”

Mystery Man: “And I suppose you’ve chosen the right side?”

Nathan Paradine: “I’ve chosen a side I believe in.”

The Mystery Man chuckles and folds his arms over his chest. He walks away from Paradine, obviously thinking over his next words carefully.

Mystery Man: “I admire your stand Nathan, however this was my mistake. I should never have allowed the Company to control me like this, let alone control the sVo. I’d grown used to them interfering in my affairs, but no longer.”

The Mystery Man turns around, a stern expression on his face.

Mystery Man: “You fight your fight. I’ll fight mine, and I hope we’re all still standing at the end of it. Goodbye, Nathan.”

Paradine begins to speak, however the lights suddenly fail again. When they turn on, the room is empty again save for Paradine. In frustration he grabs his bag and throws it at the wall.

Nathan Paradine: “DAMMIT!”

He sighs and folds his arms over his chest, before sinking down onto a bench with his head in his hands wondering what to do next.RINGSIDE

WRESTLING WEDDINGS ALWAYS GO WELL…As the Showdown cameras head to ringside it looks as if the ring is set up in an interesting fashion. White all over the place and no not snow… The sVo ring is filled with white baskets, a white ketubah and more! A man dressed in all black with a tie and white dress shirt approaches a wooden podium.

???: “Hello ladies and gentleman of the Sanctioned Violence Organisation.”

The fans seem to have a mixed reaction, wondering who this is and just what the heck is going on…

???: “My name is Father Michael. And tonight, right here on Showdown we have a special treat for you.”

The fans make a cheap pop from what was just said.

Father Michael: “Tonight we have a special engagement that is going to take place. Some of you know this man and some of you even know this woman. Thanks to some high authority in this company, a man has returned to his homeland. A man has come back to celebrate his present and his very bright future.”

Father Michael looks around the arena, as he continues…

Father Michael: “So at this time, I would like to introduce Serenity and Howard ‘The Bank’ Thompson down to the ring right now, so that they can be wedded together!”

The fans hear about Thompson’s name and begin to cheer for him. The song ‘Umbrella’ by Rhianna blasts as both Howard and Serenity, who was Joseph Equinox’s girlfriend come walking side by side. Everyone looks confused as to what is going on as Howard mentioned to Joseph last week that he was flying to Vegas.

Father Michael: “As they make their way down, they would like to say a few words before we get this wedding of the year going…”

It must of been true as Howie climbs into the ring with Serenity and they stand in front of Father Michael now. Michael passes the microphone off to Howie who begins to speak aloud.

Howard Thompson: “Ladies and Gentleman, boys and girls, children of all ages… many of you may remember me from such DVD’s as, Season’s Beatings… or how about, The Countdown to Violence. Or more recently… Showdown 62, here tonight in Las Vegas, Nevada!”

The fans watch on closely as Thompson now passes the microphone over to Serenity, his apparent bride to be.

Serenity: “Yes! And some of you may recall me, too of course. The FORMER girlfriend of Joseph Equinox…”

The fans begin to have some negative feelings about this situation now, but try to make the most of it.

Serenity: “You may not understand now Joey, but someday you will…”

She now passes the mic back over to Howard.

Howard Thompson: “Nobody saw this coming, even we didn’t. We are back here tonight to celebrate something special… it’s not everyday you find someone you were meant for. We know it’s kind of fast, but time is money and money is time. All I know is, I couldn’t of found a better place to do this at, or a better place to do this with then all of you beloved fans… In fact, I was invited here tonight to do so!”

Howie laughs a bit as the fans know he is acting like his usual self. He passes the microphone off to Father Michael now, as things are about to begin!

Father Michael: “Well then… let’s get this going, shall we?”

With that being said, Father Michael puts the mic in the stand on the podium as he starts the wedding…

Father Michael: “Ladies and Gentleman, we are gathered here today…”

Just then, “Talkin’ 2 Myself” by Eminem ft. Kobe & prod. by DJ Kahlil hit’s over the sVo pa system and the fans jump to their seats!

Father Michael: “What the..?!”

“Simply A+” Joseph Equinox makes his way down to the ringside area with a microphone in his hand. As he makes his way down the ramp way, he begins to talk while his music fades in the background…

Joseph Equinox: “So this is it, huh? Your big surprise? Well let me tell you both something…”

He pauses, then continues as he throws the mic over the ropes and at Howie while finishing with these final words…

Joseph Equinox: “I’VE COME TO BREAK UP THE PARTY!”

Joey Q quickly gets on top of the ring apron and dives over the top ropes at Howard Thompson! He takes him down with a clothesline. He is on top of him when he goes for some right hand punches. Howie rolls away though underneath his body before standing back up. Serenity now screams aloud and watches on while Thompson goes running at Equinox. Joseph drop kicks him in mid air and sends him rolling under the bottom rope and to the outside floor!

Meanwhile we see Joseph watching him on the outside floor before literally destroying the ring and the entire wedding set up! This has Serenity rush out of there and up the ramp way with Howard. Following the tear we see Joseph grab the microphone from Father Michael…

Joseph Equinox: “Damn it, Thompson!”

Equinox now leans over the ropes as he looks at the ramp way to both Serenity and Howard who are high tailing it out of there…

Joseph Equinox: “You just had to do it, didn’t you? First we meet up a month ago and you tell me you are done with wrestling. You tell me that we were friends, YOU TELL ME THAT YOU COULDN’T HELP ME AGAINST THE COMPANY!!!”

He becomes ballistic with the situation now…

Joseph Equinox: “And then… THEN you have the audacity to take my girlfriend, MY girlfriend Howard… ugh! I don’t know what it is with you… but you listen now, Mr. Money Bags! You can run and you can hide, but whether or not you are in Vegas or in Canada, I WILL find you!!!”

With that being said, Joseph’s music plays and Serenity grabs Howard’s arm, trying to pull him to the back while Thompson stands there in shock. The fans are pumped up and cheering like crazy while Joseph stands in the ring shaking his head and daring Howard to come to him.

Howard Thompson begins to make his way towards the ring, but before stepping back in he stops short and stares up at Equinox with a smile on his face. Boos ring out around the arena as James Von Drake, Ethan Rider and Colt Cooper slowly begin to make their way down the entrance ramp with menacing looks on their faces. Joseph Equinox seems to know what is coming next as he readies himself for a fight in the ring, whilst the members of the Company step next to Howard Thompson. Thompson and the Company exchange knowing glances before stepping up into the ring! Equinox bravely rushes towards the four men, but the numbers game soon begins to take effect as they beat down Equinox before tossing him out of the ring. Equinox looks on from the mat as the Company raise the hand of Howard Thompson in the air! Have they just recruited a new member to their ranks?BACKSTAGE

KARMA IS MY BITCHThe following was taped earlier today…

The scene opens up right outside of the Goodfellas Arena. A black stretch Hummer pulls up to the arena before coming to a halt right in front of the talent entrance area. The driver of the vehicle hops out and marches directly to the rear passenger door and opens it. Out steps Cody Williams, adorned with black designer slacks, Armani button up shirt, and an ash gray wool pea coat. The chauffer retrieves Cody’s Louis Vuitton luggage bags and hands them to him.

Cody Williams: Thank you.

He reaches into his pocket and pulls out a 100 dollar bill, folds it up and tucks it neatly into the chauffer’s breast pocket. Cody begins to make his way towards the arena, securing his duffel bag on his shoulder and rolling his luggage behind him.

Voice: Cody… Cody?

Cody Williams: Yes?

SVO interviewer and correspondent Tamara Boyd is seen approaching Cody Williams, stopping just a few paces before him. She smiles at Cody who returns with one of his own, while sliding his sunglasses up onto his forehead.

Tamara Boyd: Cody, last week you made your return to the SVO against Bobby Dean in a match that many say you should have won.

Cody Williams: Should have, could have.. I may have had victory within my reach, I may have had the match won, but I took a risk… And it cost me. I may have had my foot on the bottom rope, but what it boils down to is that I lost. At the end of the day, the decision stands and I am zero and one in the SVO. But you live and learn, you learn from your mistakes and you move on.

Tamara Boyd: A very humble Cody Williams, much different than the Cody Williams of SVO past indeed. Tonight you take on Karma Jones. What are your thoughts on your opponent tonight, and how big of a part do you think Nathan Paradine will play as special guest referee?

Cody Williams: Karma Jones reminds me of someone who used to wrestle in the SVO. He reminds me of Peter Gilmour, the self-proclaimed “Xtreme Icon”. And the reason is this.. Much like Gilmour, Jones has a plan, a personal vendetta that he hopes to achieve. And much like Gilmour, he is going about it a very unorthodox and unknown way. Everything Peter Gilmour did never made sense and is the butt of every SVO joke since his departure. And much like Gilmour, Karma Jones will be the butt of every joke when I make an example out of him. As far as Nathan Paradine is concerned, he and I may have not seen eye to eye in the past but as long as he stays out of my way and makes the three count, I don’t see him as much of a threat to me.

Tamara Boyd: Definitely looking forward to seeing you in action tonight, you always put on an exhilarating performance and you are sure to deliver.

Cody Williams: They say that karma is a bitch.. Tonight, I am going to make Karma Jones, MY bitch.

Cody drops his sunglasses back onto his nose and lets out a small chuckle as he leaves Tamara’s side and begins to make his way towards the arena.RINGSIDE

SUB-CLAUSE“Journey now, Travel Infinitely” plays over the PA, allowing the arena to go crazy as Grimnir walks out from the entrance with a mic in his hand. He waits for his music to die down as well as the crowd before clearing his throat and offering his opinion on something.

Grimnir: So, things have gotten rather interesting around here, haven’t they? Not only do we have a few mavericks running around thinking they own the federation but they have gotten the ire of the Company. You see boys? This is what happens when you don’t play by the rules. You get a large Asian man trying to squash the life out of you.

He pulls out a copy of the contract from his back pocket, snapping it in the air like a cloth to unfold it. He takes a few moments to adjust his sight before continuing.

Grimnir: Speaking of rules, it seems I have a nifty little sub clause in this contract I was unaware of. It is amazing how great I was when I didn’t have this mask on. I think I made this up on one of those sub clause contract websites during the economic downturn. According to this contract, if I am prohibited from earning my living before the title match, I am entitled to a rather large payday in the way of massive fines against the person or people who wish to hinder my ability to make said living. In other words, if anyone decides they have an urge to unmask me against my will before Season’s Beatings, the best they can expect is a massive fine.

He folds the paper back up and places it back into his trunks.

Grimnir: However, the worst will be an immediate suspension. I have assurances from the powers that be at sVo headquarters they will enforce this sub clause with a suspension. So, while you all might want to know who I am under the mask, I am going to have to ask you to wait. This also goes for any Company member or any unaffiliated member of sVo. As the great directors say in Hollywood, you will never work in this town again! He acts as if he is turning away but stops, slaps his head as if he forgot something and turns back around to make one more statement.

Grimnir: How could I forget, I do have a surprise for you all. I have heard plenty of guesses about who I am and who I am not. I had my lawyers get in touch with one of those people and they agreed to show up here next week to address the rumors. Perhaps this will give you an idea of who I am or perhaps it will give you an idea your guesses are completely incorrect.

Grimnir tosses aside the mic and walks back through the entrance, leaving the crowd buzzing with anticipation.BACKSTAGE

THE HIDDEN MESSAGEThe scene opens backstage of the GoodFellas Arena. As the cameras film, Karma is just arriving at the arena. Walking down the corridor heading towards his locker room, he gets stopped by Tamara Boyd.

Tamara Boyd: Tonight Karma you face Cody Williams in a singles match where your rival Nathan Paradine is guest referee. What are your feelings about this?

Karma takes off his hood and as he does he winks at Tamara who blushes and just smiles.

Karma: Well obviously management feels that I’m a threat to the company of some sort, because they are pulling out all the stops to keep me from dominating the SVO roster. I mean first you put me in the ring against the Rodriguez Brothers, in that six man tag and as you found out, I changed the outcome of that match. Then you put me in the ring for #1 contendership and instead of blatenly seeing that I was the sole winner of that match, you make it a co-contendership. Then I beat the hell out of Paradine last week and win my match as well and what do you do. You make me fight another veteran who is going to end up like everyone else that has crossed my path. A bloody crimson mess.

Shocked by the comments, Tamara tries to continue with the interview.

Tamara Boyd: So in other words, what can the fans expect tonight in your match?

Karma: Expect the unknown, expect the hidden message that lies beneath the flesh of Cody and Nathan’s soul. Honestly I really can’t tell you what my plans are for tonight, but know that I have a few people on my mind tonight and when its all said and done, they will know and understand what that hidden message is and as for you. I have something to give you but I want you to wait and open it later.

Tamara’s face lights up as she grabs the box. Karma puts his hood back up and heads back down the corridor towards his locker room. As he walks he looks at the locker room door of Cody Williams. Grabbing something out of his coat pocket, he slides it under the door and continues his journey. The camera fades away…
“Turn the Page” by Metallica kicks in over the PA as the curtains part to reveal two big monsters. Adam Roebuck and Derek Huber aka The House make their way to the ring, soaking in a nice reaction from the crowd. Both men high-five some fans in attendance on their way to the ring. Getting ready for the match at hand, both men walk up the steps and climb into the ring, pumping their fists for the crowd. Both Roebuck and Huber dap fists before awaiting the bell.

‘Headstrong’ by Trapt hits the sound system, and boos ring out around the arena as the Xtreme Fusion logo hits the giant screen. After a few seconds, the entrance ramp fills with smoke until DVD steps through it and poses for the crowd. The crowd boo the member of Xtreme Fusion as he holds the pose for a few more seconds, before sprinting down the entrance ramp and sliding into the ring. DVD poses on the nearest turnbuckle as the music begins to fade out.

With Limp and Adam Roebuck ready to start this one off for Xtreme Fusion and ‘The House’, the referee calls for the bell to be rung and the match is quickly underway! Limp lays into Roebuck with some big right hands until Roebuck grabs hold of Limp’s arm and twists it behind his back with a wrist lock. Roebuck progress the hold into a side head lock on Limp, but the former Tag Team Champion is able to push Roebuck off of him and into the ring ropes. Roebuck bounces back into the middle of the ring, and Limp takes him down to the mat with a big knee into the gut. Limp then stomps away on his opponent before making the tag out to his partner DVD.

DVD quickly jumps into the ring and goes to work on Roebuck with some big punches as he tries to get to his feet. Roebuck is finally able to struggle up to a standing position, but DVD quickly grabs hold of him by the arm and whips him hard into the corner of the ring. With Roebuck in the corner, DVD runs at his opponent looking for a big splash, however Roebuck dives out of the way of the on rushing DVD!

DVD hits the corner hard, and as he staggers around he walks straight into a belly to belly suplex from the massive Adam Roebuck. Roebuck hits a few more kicks on DVD for good measure, before making the tag out to his partner Derek Huber. Huber quickly makes his way into the match and hits DVD with a right hand to send him back down to the mat as he tries to get to his feet. With DVD down, Huber pulls him to his feet by his hair before scoop slamming him in the middle of the ring. Huber then bounces into the ring ropes, before landing a big dropkick onto his opponent before making the cover.

ONE…

TWO…

NO!

Limp is quickly in to break up the cover before the three can be counted! The referee orders Limp back out of the ring as Huber stares him down with an intense look in his eyes. Limp takes advantage of this with a cheap shot on Huber from behind to knock him down, before making his way over to tag out to Limp. Limp quickly enters the ring and begins to choke out Huber with his boot. The referee begins his count to five, and Limp finally releases the hold before he is DQ’ed. The fans boo loudly for Xtreme Fusion as Limp pulls Huber up to a standing position, before dropping him down to the mat with a leg sweep takedown! Limp begins to taunt to the fans, but they continue to boo the former Tag Team Champion.

Limp flips off the fans before pulling Huber back to his feet, however out of nowhere Huber grabs hold of Limp and sends him down to the mat with a big standing thrust spinebuster! The fans cheer for the big move from Huber, who quickly takes advantage of the situation to make the tag out to Adam Roebuck! Roebuck wastes no time in jumping into the ring and as Limp gets to his feet, he takes him down to the mat with authority via a ‘BUST’! With Limp down on the mat and hurting, Roebuck quickly makes the cover!

ONE…

TWO…

NO!

Before the referee can count the three, DVD is quickly into the match to break up the cover! The referee orders DVD back to his corner as the fans boo loudly for the actions of the Xtreme Fusion member. Meanwhile in the opposite corner of the ring Limp is in trouble as Roebuck pulls Limp into the air, before slamming him down to the mat with the ‘Bet on Black’! The fans pop for the big finishing move from the Las Vegas born wrestler, but as Roebuck makes another cover, the referee still has his back turned and is trying to get DVD out of the ring!

The fans boo loudly as Roebuck angrily rises up to his feet to get the referees attention. DVD quickly hops out of the ring as Roebuck turns and makes the cover on Limp!

One…

Two…

NO!

Thanks to the delay in the referee counting the cover, Limp is able to kick out before the referee reaches three! Roebuck looks angrily at the referee before pulling Limp up to a standing position and making the tag out to his partner Huber. Huber enters the ring, but as he does DVD quickly rushes across to hit him with a cheap shot from behind! The match has descended into chaos as all four men are now in the ring trading right hands! The referee tries to order Roebuck and DVD out of the ring, but the two teams seem too interested in hitting each other with bigger hay makers than listening to his orders!

The fans cheer at the chaos in the ring, but suddenly they begin to boo as the Rodriguez Brothers make their way down the entrance ramp with steel chairs in their hands! Chivo and Chezina roll into the ring, and quickly blast Roebuck and Huber in the back of the head for getting involved in their match up last week! The referee quickly calls for the bell to be rung! The Rodriguez Brothers turn their chairs onto DVD and Limp as well, but as they do Rey Rosario and Crippler come sprinting down the entrance ramp with their Tag Team Championship belts! The Tag Team Champions hit the ring, and just like last week the tag team match ends up on a full on eight man brawl as officials rush down to try and separate the four tag teams from each other.

BAD IDEA #1The camera crews catch “Beautiful” Bobby Dean, “Mr. International” Roscoe Shame and Jeremiah Sloan entering the arena. Each of them with wary and wandering eyes as they each stop to check behind them, ever conscious of any sneak attacks from The Company. The trio make their way down the hall and to their designated locker room without incident, but as soon as they enter, Bobby Dean throws his equipment bag down in frustration.

BBD: I don’t like this guys.

Roscoe Shame taking a seat in front of his open locker nods his head in agreement.

Roscoe Shame: We can’t be checking behind us ever step of the way for the rest of our careers, we need to even the odds and square up with these guys like men.

BBD: Yeah but who?

The three of them put on their thinking caps but it’s Jeremiah Sloan who has a sudden light bulb as his eyes light up and he jumps to his feet with a smile on his face.

Jeremiah Sloan: I know of a guy we could call…

Suddenly Sloan’s smile disappears and he retakes his seat shaking his head.

Jeremiah Sloan: Never mind, this guys is probably not a good idea.

BBD: Who is it?

Roscoe Shame: It doesn’t matter who he is, just give him a call Jay.

Jeremiah looks a bit skeptical, as if he regrets even bringing it up in the first place but reluctantly nods his head.

Jeremiah Sloan: Alright, I’ll give him a call tonight.BACKSTAGE

JUST SO WE ARE CLEARThe cameras cut backstage where Nathan Paradine is shown getting ready to referee the upcoming bout between Karma Jones and Cody Williams. He picks up the striped black and white shirt and examines it for a moment before sliding it on over his head, adjusting it in the mirror. Suddenly the locker room door swings open and Karma Jones barges into the room, a scowl on his face.

Karma Jones: “What the hell do you think you’re playing at?”

Karma seizes Paradine by the front of his shirt and thrusts him up against the mirror, the glass cracking. Paradine grabs Karma’s wrist but doesn’t attempt to swing at him, fully aware of what the rising star is capable of following his beatdown last week.

Karma Jones: “Word on the street is that you requested to be the special referee in this match. If you’re thinking of pulling some funny tricks; say, for example, trying to get some payback for our little… confrontation last week, then you’ve got another thing coming. I’m not scared to knock your teeth down your throat this time, got it?”

Nathan Paradine: “Relax, Karma. I’m simply there to call that match right down the middle, without showing favor to either you or Cody. The best man is going to win this match, understand?”

Karma Jones: “Yeah? I know you and Cody have some kind of mutual respect bromance happening. If you try and swing things in his favor tonight, if you try and lay a single finger on me… I’m going to have your ass fired faster than you can say “future Las Vegas Champion”. Are we clear on this?

Nathan Paradine: “Crystal clear, Karma.”

Karma Jones: “Good. Guess I’ll see you out there tonight.”

Nathan quickly nods and Karma releases him. Both men regard each other with dislike for a moment before Karma turns around and walks out of the locker room. Nathan stares after him for a moment or two, his face contorted into a scowl, before the scene comes to an end.

The Best In Classic Wrestling Action!
‘My Way’ by Limp Bizkit hits the sound system and the arena fills with boos as the massive Nicky Jam Rodriguez steps onto the top of the entrance ramp! Nicky Jam holds his hands up in the air before slowly making his way down the entrance ramp towards the ring. Nicky Jam towers over the fans lining the entrance ramp, and as he steps up onto the ring apron, he is able to step over the top rope with ease! Nicky Jam struts around the ring for a few seconds to show his dominance before preparing for the match to get under-way.

There are boos in the arena as ‘JVD’ flashes up on the giant screen and the arena is basked in a pink glow. “All My Life” by Foo Fighters blares out as James Von Drake walks out, with his wife Lucy Von Drake as always by his side. JVD signals to the crowd before walking down to the ring and sliding in. JVD holds his arms in the air in the middle of the ring as Lucy Von Drake stands outside the ring clapping on her husband.

The bell sounds.

Nicky Jam Rodriguez and James Von Drake lock up. JVD takes the upper hand when he pushes Nicky into the corner turnbuckle. The ref gets in between them as they are on the ropes. JVD is told to back off and does so. As Jam comes stepping out, JVD throws a sucker right hand. He then follows it up with a boot to the gut and a open back hand chop. JVD now has him leaning on the ropes as he whips him across the ring.

Nicky Rodriguez comes running back as James Von Drake looks for a back body drop. He is bent over, but Nicky boots him in the chin! JVD’s body raises up and Nicky then clotheslines him down! JVD is back up and takes another swift clothesline to the mat! JVD now stands back up again but this time Jam drop kicks him on the front of the outside floor towards the ramp way!

As JVD is on the outside floor, all of a sudden from the back comes Karma Jones! He slowly paces down towards his body but stops a few steps before it. Drake has no idea who is behind him as he helps himself back up to get into the ring. He is slow to do so but eventually rolls in under the bottom rope. Nicky now rushes over to make the cover!

KICK OUT!

JVD had a lot of strength left in him, as Rodriguez gets a one count.

Karma Jones still watches from the outside floor now as he makes his way around ringside. Nicky takes notice but keeps his attention on JVD in the ring. He now goes for a chin lock submission hold but JVD instead reverses it! He catches him in a chin buster. JVD now rolls his body on top of Nicky’s as he goes for a leg cover.

NO!!!

Nicky kicks out while Karma Jones now slowly makes his way towards the announcer’s table.

Everyone wonders why he is out there and what he is up to. JVD stands up now after the pin attempt as he now looks over his shoulder to see Karma Jones standing in his view. Drake doesn’t take too kindly to this, though. He isn’t sure what to do though so he looks over the ropes and warns him. JVD unfortunately takes his eye off of his opponent and this gives Nicky the advantage to grab him from behind with a roll up pin!

ONE

NO!!!

James Von Drake kicks out of it and now rolls away from him.

Nicky Jam Rodriguez comes running at him but JVD ducks it like a pro. He then grabs Nicky from behind and executes a nice Russian Leg Sweep! JVD rolls over top of his body after doing so as he now picks him up from behind the waist area and in the air. Nicky tries to reverse it with a back elbow shot but JVD puts his other arm over his shoulder and nails him with a T-Bone Suplex!

JVD now goes for the cover while Karma Jones goes over and grabs his Las Vegas Championship!

ONE

TWO

THREE!

Karma Jones now gets up on the ring apron with his belt. He looks down at it, then at James Von Drake who has his hand raised as the winner. As JVD goes after him on the ring apron he drops down with the gold in his hand. He then tosses it through the ring ropes and into the squared circle.

Karma Jones looks up at James Von Drake now and just smirks. JVD looks a little intrigued by this, maybe even a bit upset. Jones now walks around the ringside area before looking back once again to the ring where JVD stands. He grabs his title belt and slings it over his shoulder, staring out at Karma Jones too.

A NIGHTMARE POSSESSEDBackstage at Goodfellas Casino, sVo reporter Tamara Boyd with camera and camera man in tow jogs down one of the many corridors comprising the backstage area. Finally reaching an opening with a large gold plated elevator she finds her target – two Japanese men – Nightmare and his former mentor and current manager, Akira Kimura.

Spotting the smiling brunette, Nightmare lets out an expletive as Kimura manages a restrained smile in her direction. Not put off by Nightmare’s less-than-enthusiastic reception, Tamara marches towards the two, microphone already to her lips.

Tamara Boyd: “Nightmare, a few quick words?”

Nightmare: “Sure – ‘fuck off’. Quick enough?”

Akira Kimura: “My apologies, Ms. Boyd. While I may have taught this neanderthal grappling I am fortunately not responsible for his manners. I can assure you he did not learn them from his parents either, I have met them and they are good people. We can only assume this little wonder happened on his own.”

Nightmare: “The same quick words apply to you too, ‘Master’.”

Akira Kimura: “We’re just waiting for the elevator so this little creep can go and speak to the higher ranking creep up in the skybox – so if you want a few words with ‘Nightmare’ then I’d say this is the perfect opportunity.”

Kimura speaks quickly before turning and smirking at Nightmare who fumes back at him.

Nightmare: “Thanks.”

Nightmare spits the word with venom at the old man.

Tamara Boyd: “Nightmare, you’re coming off a disqualification victory over Roscoe Shame…”

Nightmare: “Submission victory – I’m seeing it as such. BBD threw in the towel when he pulled me off Shame’s helpless heap. As far as I am concerned I am walking away with a VICTORY over the World Heavyweight Champion.”

Tamara Boyd: “Is that why you’re heading up to the skybox to meet with Matt Anderson?”

Nightmare glares at her.

Nightmare: “My business is private…”

Akira Kimura: “The gold whore is unhappy that he’s not yet been handed the World Title. He’s on his way up to cry and beg for what he sees as his…”

Nightmare: “MY BUSINESS IS PRIVATE!”

Nightmare snaps at Kimura who backs up cautiously as the younger man erupts.

Tamara Boyd: “And your thoughts on Joseph Equinox who you will face later on tonight?”

This draws the masked man’s attention from the defensive Kimura and back to Tamara.

Nightmare: “A complete waste of my time. Week after week I am sent to the ring to deal with these poor excuses for wrestlers that ‘The Company’ higher-ups deem ‘problems’. Two careers ended – a champion defeated! What do I have to show for it?”

Visibly upset, Nightmare grabs hold of Tamara’s microphone, holding it close to his mouth and speaking very quietly into it.

Nightmare: “A match with Joseph Equinox. Just another pawn for me to crush – it’s not a question, but a sure thing.”

Kimura considers interjecting, but considering Nightmare’s current state he thinks better of it and bites his tongue.

Tamara Boyd: “Looks like your elevator is nearly here so I’ll leave you with one last question – for the last few weeks you have repeatedly viciously attacked Alex Brooks. What is your reasoning for this? Why Alex Brooks?”

Nightmare: “It’s obvious, isn’t it?”

Nightmare stares at Tamara questioningly, intensity still burning from behind his mask. She shakes her head ‘no’.

Nightmare: “I’ve made it no secret that I am with The Company purely as a mercenary… a hired gun. I eliminate their problems and they keep me fed, paid and happy. Brooks is just another problem. Just like Night was a problem. Just like El Locon was a problem. Just like Roscoe Shame, BBD, Joey Q. I was told to take out Brooks and I did. But it all adds to the problem, you see?”

Tamara Boyd: “Would you care to elaborate on that?”

Nightmare is clearly unimpressed by Tamara’s request and his glare turns even colder.

Nightmare: “You are so thick I have no idea what my brother sees in you. Oh – wait… no, it makes sense now that I think about it. Alex Brooks is just like Joey Q. It’s all in our agreement, I take out whoever is put in front of me – the problem is I have become very efficient at my job, and as such my payment rises.”

His tone becomes condescending and darker.

Nightmare: “Supply and demand, Tamara – a simple business principle.”

The elevator doors finally open revealing three Company agents inside who hold the doors open as Kimura reluctantly steps in.

Nightmare: “Now I have to go and discuss ‘supply and demand’ – with the emphasis on demand – with Mr. Anderson. Run along. We’re done.”

Nightmare ‘shoo’s Tamara and her cameraman before turning and walking confidently into the lift, shoving Kimura roughly as he does. Kimura smiles faintly and sadly at Tamara as the elevator doors slide shut.BACKSTAGE

FIRST STRIKEThere is a huge commotion in the back halls of the arena as the camera crew rushes to the scene. The cameras arrive just in time to spot JVD sprawled on the floor with other Company members standing over him, checking on their fellow Company member.
The lights dim out quickly and suddenly, and the cacophany of chatter from the audience falls to silence. The opening bars of ‘Forsaken’ by Skillet hits out over the PA System and a single jet of Golden pyro erupts from the stage, the light from it illuminating a lone, solitary, dark figure.

Ethan Rider is dressed in a long trench coat and his usual ring trunks, black with a tint of metallic silver. ‘Rider’ is written in gold lettering on the cuffs of the coat and the right leg of the trunks. Ethan gives a small smirk and straightens up, the lights slightly returning so he is visible. He walks to the ring, only slightly acknowledging the audience with the occasional nod. When he reaches the ringside area, he stands still, staring at the ring as two officials come forward and carefully remove the coat, producing a series of wolf-whistles from the females as he exposes his well defined, ‘Sexy’ abdomen and pectoral.

He bounces on the spot a bit, warming up for the match, before sliding into the ring, just after a single flash of golden pyro shoots just millimetres over his shoulder. Bouncing off the ropes and raising two fingers up in front of him, giving another small smirk as the lights return.

‘Ladies and Gentlemen’ by Saliva hits the sound system and there are boos all around for Colt Cooper as his entrance video hits the sVo-Tron. After waiting a few seconds, Colt Cooper appears on the ramp with his normal cocky smile. He positions both of his arms out, tapping his chest taunting the crowd. A spectrum of black and blue strobe lights fill up the arena followed by a down pour of confetti. Colt struts his way to the ring extending his hands to some of his fans, and gives the middle finger to the fans of sVo who don’t like him.

Last Resort hits the sound system and there is a mixed reaction from the fans as Rey Rosario and Chris Wrestling step out onto the top of the entrance stage. Rey Rosario has the sVo Tag Team Championship belt that he holds with Crippler strapped over his shoulders, and the two members of the Canadian Connection raise their hands in the air! Wrestling and Rosario slowly make their way down the entrance ramp staring at their opponents in the ring, before rolling in and climbing opposite turn buckles to signal to the crowd.

With all four men ready and waiting to get this match underway, the referee calls for the bell to be rung and the highly anticipated tag team match between the Canadian Connection and The Company to get started!

Ethan Rider and Rey Rosario start the match off for their respective teams, as they meet in the middle of the ring with big right hands. Rosario gets the upper hand over the exciting Rider, and grabs him by the arm before tossing him hard into the ring ropes. Ethan Rider bounces back into the middle of the ring and is able to take down Rosario with a flying forearm shot to the head of the former International Champion. Rosario is quickly up to his feet, and is able to duck under an attempted clothesline from Rider, before taking him to the mat with a side headlock takedown. The fans cheer for Rosario as he keeps the head lock locked on Rider until he is able to roll up to a standing position.

Rider rushes forward towards Rosario, but Rosario takes him down with a quick gutwrench takedown before rubbing the face of the Company assassin into the mat! The fans cheer the move from Rosario who seems to be dominating things in the early going, as he makes his way over to tag in his partner Chris Wrestling. The number one contender for the sVo International Championship gets a big cheer as he climbs into the ring and pulls Ethan Rider up to a standing position. Chris Wrestling quickly sends Rider down to the mat with a big belly to back suplex, before rolling over his opponent to make the cover.

ONE..

NO!

Ethan Rider manages to get a shoulder up off of the mat before the three can be counted, and this match continues! Chris Wrestling pulls Ethan Rider up to a sitting position on the mat, before nailing him with some head punches to the face. Ethan Rider holds his face in pain, but as he does Chris Wrestling bounces into the ropes before hitting a diving drop kick into the back of Ethan Rider’s head! Ethan Rider drops down to the mat again, but instead of going for the cover Chris Wrestling locks him in a leg scissors to try and squeeze the life out of his opponent.

Colt Cooper tries to cheer his partner on from the apron as the referee asks Rider if he would like to tap out. Ethan Rider quickly shakes his head and reaches out for the bottom rope, however Chris Wrestling seems to have the leg scissors locked on too tight, and Rider can’t get there! Ethan Rider continues to struggle against the hold, and is finally able to fight his way out with some big back elbows to the face of Chris Wrestling. Ethan Rider rises back up to his feet, but is quickly grabbed in a waist lock by Chris Wrestling. Chris Wrestling tries to hit a German suplex onto Ethan Rider, however Rider blocks it by locking his leg alongside Wrestling’s leg! Chris Wrestling attempts the move again, but Ethan Rider is once again able to block it, and this time take down Chris Wrestling with a side Russian legsweep!

With both Chris Wrestling and Ethan Rider down on the mat, both men begin the slow crawl to the opposite corners of the ring to make the tag out to their partners, who are both waiting with outstretched arms to get into this match. Rider and Chris Wrestling both make the tag out at the same time, and there are boos all around the arena as Colt Cooper enters the match up. Colt Cooper quickly rushes forward and nails the man he beat for the International Championship two weeks ago with some right hands. Cooper then catches Rosario with a knee to the midsection, before bouncing into the ropes and attempting an axe kick on Rosario, however Rosario manages to avoid it!

Colt Cooper quickly rises back up to his feet, but he is taken back down with a back breaker from Rey Rosario. The fans cheer the move from the current Tag Team Champion, as he lays into Colt Cooper with some big right hands whilst he is down on the mat. Colt Cooper quickly tries to rise back up to a standing position, but Rosario catches him with a knee to the back, before tossing him down with a full nelson slam in the middle of the ring. With Colt Cooper down and hurting, Rey Rosario drops down to hook the leg of the current International Champion.

One…

Two…

The fans boo as Colt Cooper kicks out before the three can be counted. Rey Rosario looks frustrated as he pulls Colt Cooper back to his feet by his hair, before tossing him into the corner of the ring where his partner Chris Wrestling is standing. Rey Rosario lays into Colt Cooper with some big stomps, before making the tag out to Chris Wrestling.

The #1 contender for the International Championship steps into the ring with the International Champion, and quickly takes him down to the mat with a belly to belly suplex into the middle of the ring. The fans cheer for Chris Wrestling as he rises up to his feet and taunts the crowd. However as he does Colt Cooper slowly begins to get to his feet behind his back. Chris Wrestling turns back towards the International Champion, who surprises him with a quick double arm DDT! The fans boo loudly for the move from Colt Cooper, who dives across and tags out to Ethan Rider!

Ethan Rider quickly enters the match and lays into Chris Wrestling with some big stomps and kicks. Chris Wrestling slowly begins to get to his feet, but Ethan Rider takes him down with a side suplex, before nailing him with a spinning standing leg drop. The fans give a mixed reaction for the Company assassin, but he remains focused on the match as he takes down Chris Wrestling with a snap suplex as he gets back to his feet. With Chris Wrestling on the mat, Ethan Rider makes his way to the corner of the ring, and then begins to climb the turnbuckle! Chris Wrestling slowly gets back to his feet, but as he does Ethan Rider leaps from the top rope and takes down Chris Wrestling with a jumping clothesline! With Chris Wrestling on the mat, Ethan Rider makes the cover!

ONE…

TWO…

NO!

It looked like the Company team of Rider and Cooper was going to pick up the win, but Chris Wrestling somehow manages to get a shoulder up off of the mat just in time!

Ethan Rider rises to his feet and staggers over to make the tag out to Colt Cooper, who quickly jumps into the ring. Cooper cuts off Wrestling from making a tag out to his partner, before taking him down to the mat with a big spinebuster. The sVo International Champion then begins to taunt Rey Rosario on the outside of the ring, and gets booed by the fans for doing so. Colt Cooper turns his attention back to Chris Wrestling and pulls him up to his feet before whipping him hard into the ropes. Colt Cooper looks for a back drop as he bounces back, but out of no where Chris Wrestling counters with a face buster!

The fans cheer the big move from Chris Wrestling, who slowly crawls across and tags out to Rey Rosario! Rosario leaps into the ring and hammers Colt Cooper with big right hands sending him into the corner of the ring. Rosario then grabs Cooper by the arm and sends him corner to corner, before following up with a big clothesline on Cooper in the corner of the ring. Colt Cooper staggers out of the corner straight into the arms of Rosario. The fans cheer as Colt Cooper is lifted into the air by Rosario, who slams him down with a jackhammer and hooks the leg!

One…

Two…

Ethan Rider quickly gets in to break up the cover before the referee can count to three! The referee quickly makes his way across and orders Ethan Rider out of the ring, as Rosario drags Colt Cooper up and makes the tag out to Chris Wrestling. Chris Wrestling enters the ring and begins to lay into Colt Cooper with big right hands, but as the referee turns back around he quickly makes his way over and orders Chris Wrestling out of the ring, having not seen the tag!

The fans boo loudly as Colt Cooper takes advantage of the referee arguing with Chris Wrestling by hitting a low blow on Rey Rosario, before hitting a ‘Colt of Conduct’ in the middle of the ring on the former International Champion! The referee turns around just in time to see Colt Cooper make the tag out to Ethan Rider! Ethan Rider jumps into the ring and pulls Rosario to his feet, before dropping him down with a ‘Darkrise’ in the middle of the ring! Ethan Rider drops to make the cover as Colt Cooper rushes over to stop Chris Wrestling from breaking it up!

Boos ring out all around the arena as ‘This is War’ by Thirty Seconds to Mars hits the sound system! Ethan Rider and Colt Cooper quickly bail out of the ring and make their way back up the entrance ramp as Chris Wrestling and Rey Rosario struggle up to their feet in the ring, knowing they have had a victory stolen from them!

SUPPLY AND DEMANDHigh above Goodfellas Casino Arena, sVo Manager Matt ‘Anarchy’ Anderson sits surrounded by a cloud of cigar smoke as he stares out at the arena below him. The silence is interrupted as a voice chimes over the intercom.

Voice: “Uh – sorry to bother you, sir. Mr Miyamoto and Mr Kimura are still waiting out here and Mr Miyamoto is… uh…”

The voice is interrupted as the sound of something shattering can be heard followed by very loud yelling in Japanese – which we can assume it is probably best we don’t understand from the tone of it.

Voice: “… well he’s getting a little impatient, sir.”

This draws a laugh from the sVo Manager.

Matt Anderson: “Well it certainly sounds that way.”

He puffs happily on his cigar, clearly amused.

Voice: “What should we do, sir?”

Matt Anderson: “Send them in I…”

Before Anderson can even complete his sentence he is interrupted as the door bursts open as Nightmare storms in angrily. Two Company agents back into the skybox ahead of him, trying to block him – Nightmare grabs one and hurls him towards the plate glass windows looking over the arena… the guard stumbling and instead slamming into the handrail.

Nightmare: “What’s your fucking problem keeping me waiting out there, Anderson?”

Matt Anderson: “I’ve had a busy night – believe it or not my job does not revolve around bending to your every wish.”

Nightmare is incised further by this and lunges towards Anderson, only for the other agent to jump in his way – Nightmare kicking this one in the midsection and driving him into the floor with a Rogue Driver!

Nightmare: “The attitude really isn’t helping you, Matt. You remember us talking last week?”

Matt Anderson: “You’re a hard one to forget, Ryuu.”

Nightmare: “Did I have a s-s-stutter or a speech impediment of some sort last week, but any chance?”

Clearly Anderson knows where the conversation is leading, but humors Nightmare anyway, suddenly seeming to treat Nightmare’s fury with a great deal more caution.

Matt Anderson: “No, of course not.”

Nightmare: “Then would you mind explaining to me what the fuck is going on here?”

Matt Anderson: “No disrespect, Ryuu, but you will have to be more specific than that with your questions.”

Without warning Nightmare shoots forwards, grabbing Anderson hard around the throat and clamping his hand tighter.

Nightmare: “Week after week I have cleaned up your problems. I said last week that if I defeated Roscoe Shame I demanded some form of compensation. I have now defeated the current and former sVo World Champions, I’ve ended careers, I forced BBD to tap out, tonight I will defeat Equinox… but now I need… let’s say a token of The Company’s appreciation for my outstanding efforts.”

Matt Anderson: “I told you, my hands are tied.”

Anderson explains desperately – to no avail as Nightmare grits his teeth, squeezing Anderson’s throat even tighter.

Nightmare: “Those don’t sound like the words of a member of this federation’s controlling faction. Don’t be a stubborn fool, Anderson. What we want is the same thing… the sVo World Heavyweight Championship. You want it in The Company… you know I can take it.”

Matt Anderson: “Grimnir has a THREE YEAR OLD contract for that title shot… it’s binding… it stands… there’s nothing I can – ugh – there’s nothing I can do.”

Finally Nightmare releases his grip on Anderson’s throat, shoving him backwards.

Nightmare: “Then what? Did you expect me to just go out there week after week and do your dirty work for a fucking hotel room? Come on, Anderson – you know why I’m here…”

Matt Anderson: “Look, you take care of Equinox and I’ll see what we can sort out.”

Nightmare: “You’re damn right we’ll see what we can sort out. I’ll go deal with Equinox – he can bare the brunt of my frustrations. You know I will be back… and don’t make me fucking wait again or there will be serious repercussions – understand?”

Anderson nods grimly as Nightmare storms back out of the skybox followed by the silent Akira Kimura and leaving Anderson to wipe the sweat from his brow as he stares down at the unconscious and bleeding agent laying in the middle of the skybox.BACKSTAGE

DON’T GET IN MY WAYThe scene opens up to the backstage area where we see ‘The Reflection of Perfection’, ‘The Hollywood Rockstar’, ‘Second to None’ himself… Cody Williams. He is walking down the hallways, something obviously on his mind. Could it be the brand new ‘CCXX: Second Coming’ t-shirt he is wearing that is available in the SVO shopzone for only $24.99?!?! No, he’s wearing one already so it couldn’t possibly be that. He comes to a halt and places his hands on his hips. He turns his head sharply to the left, the camera slowly zooming out toe reveal a nameplate that reads:

Nathan Paradine

Cody takes a deep breath and knocks on the door. The door slowly opens and Nathan Paradine peers his head out past the door way. He looks to see Cody Williams standing there in front of him. Nathan pushes the sunglasses on his face up and onto his forehead, looking Cody up and down.

Nathan Paradine: Can I help you?

Cody pauses for a second, gathering his thoughts before speaking.

Cody Williams: You know, you and I.. We have never seen eye to eye. We have a storied history together and feuded up and down Japan and it followed us here to the states where we did battle in several promotions.

Paradine can be seen nodding his head, acknowledging their past.

Nathan Paradine: Yeah, we did. What are you getting at sunshine?

Cody Williams: What I am trying to say is that… Tonight you’re the special guest referee in my match tonight against Karma Jones. Knowing our past, and knowing you and Karma Jones current situation, I want to be sure that you will call this match right down the middle. No taking sides, no biases, no tension.. Nothing.

Paradine nods his head in agreement. A smirk fills his face, Cody staring at him patiently waiting for a response.

Nathan Paradine: Just do your job, and I will do mine. And there will be nothing to worry about.

Cody Williams: Don’t get in my way, and I won’t get in yours.

Nathan Paradine: Good luck out there.

Cody and Paradine stare at each other for a few seconds before Cody turns around and begins to head the way he was heading before, and continues to make his way down the hallway. Paradine watches Cody leave dropping his shades back down onto the bridge of his nose before retreating back into his locker room as the scene slowly fades to black.BACKSTAGE

ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUSTThe camera crew is once again rushing through the back halls of the arena as another large commotion sounds just around the corner. The cameras are there once again just in time to see the company member Ethan Rider checking on a downed Colt Cooper.
“Sorry, You’re Not A Winner” by Enter Shikari then blasts around the arena as Nathan Paradine appears at the top of the ramp wearing a sleeveless referee shirt, his arms crossed over his chest and his head bowed. He glances up, the lights reflecting off his sunglasses and he points out towards the crowd, basking in their cheers. He marches down to the ring and slides in underneath the bottom rope, climbing to his feet and raising an arm up into the air as the music dies away.

The lights get dim and a silence fills the arena. Smoke covers the stage as “Right Above It” cues over the PA system. Strobe lights begin to flicker as the song begins. As Karma is poised on the top turnbuckle the music fades out and the lights come on.

The house lights slowly dim, synched to the sound of a THX surround sound test causing the jam packed audience of the Goodfellas Arena to erupt. The sounds of “Head Like A Hole” (Clay Remix) by Nine Inch Nails blares on the arena’s sound system as gold lights wander around the arena. A strobe light flickers at the top of the entranceway while the entrance begins to fog up. Cody Williams can be seen rising up from the top of the ramp by way of lift. Once the lift comes to a halt he throws his arms up into the air to an eruption of pyrotechnics, followed by fireworks raining down ontop of him from above the stage.Bow down before the one you serve
You’re going to get what you deserve
Bow down before the one you serve
You’re going to get what you deserve

He makes his way down the entrance ramp, pounding his chest and pointing out to the crowd as they continue to drown the stadium with cheers. He slides into the ring and rushes to the nearest corner and stands on the second turnbuckle leaning over, repeatedly pounding his chest and raising his arms in the air. He hops off and heads over to the opposite corner and does the same, taking off his “CCXX: Second Coming” shirt and throwing it into the crowd.

Nathan Paradine looks at both competitors in this singles match up and points to Cody Williams asking if he is ready. Cody nods his head and Paradine switches his attention to Karma Jones and asks if he is ready. Karma rolls his eyes and motions for Paradine to ring the bell. Paradine signals the timekeeper to ring the bell and this match is underway.

DING!!!
DING!!!
DING!!!

Karma Jones and Cody Williams jog around the ring and circle each other, sizing the other one up. Cody extends his arm out towards Karma looking for a handshake to start this match off, but Karma swats his hand away. A smirk fills Cody’s face as he shakes his wrists out and nods his head, Karma Jones across from him ready to engage in this match up. Paradine signals for the two of them to get things started.

The two of them shoot towards each other and begin the match with a collar and elbow tie up. Cody Williams pulls Karma Jones in and applies a side headlock, Jones has his hands on Cody’s waist in an attempt to create space between the two of them. Cody squeezes his arm and clutches his wrist hard, applying even more pressure on the head of Karma Jones. Karma pushes Cody against the ropes and pushes his lower back, shooting him across the ring. Cody Williams bounces off of the ropes on the opposite side, Karma Jones dropping down onto his stomach. Cody hops over Karma Jones and his momentum carries him over into the ropes. He bounces off, Karma Jones this time with a leap frog over Cody Williams who ducks underneath. Cody bounces off of the ropes once more but is met with a hard dropkick to the jaw from Karma Jones. He immediately makes the cover and hooks the leg. Paradine drops onto the canvas and makes the count.

One!

No! Kickout.

Cody Williams gets the shoulder up at the count of one. Karma applies the boots to Cody and stomps at him while he is trying to get back up onto his feet. He grabs Cody by the hair and brings him up to a standing position. Cody breaks free and hit Karma with a stiff European uppercut that sends him stumbling back. He hits him with several hard forearm shots to the side of the face. He grabs him by the arm and whips him with an Irish whip. Karma Jones reverses it and sends Cody into the ropes once again. Cody comes running back and slides beneath Jones legs as Karma leapfrogs up and over. Karma comes bouncing off of the ropes and Cody drops to his stomach, Karma leaping over him. Jones comes bouncing off of the ropes as it is Cody this time who leap frogs over him. Karma bounces off of the ropes with a full head of steam and Cody leaps into the air, connecting with a running calf kick. Cody Williams crawls over to Jones and makes the pinfall attempt as Nathan Paradine drops to the mat.

One!

Two!!!

Th.. NO! Kickout!

Cody Williams sits up with his hands on his thighs and looks at Paradine asking where the three count was. Paradine tells him that it was only a two count as Karma Jones got his shoulder up. Cody gets up onto his feet and grabs hold of Karma Jones who is still feeling the effects of the running calf kick. Cody hits Karma with another hard European uppercut and then follows it up with a knife edge chop. He rotates his arm, warming it up for a clothesline and runs for the ropes, bounces off and is turned inside out by a lunging lariat by Karma Jones that nearly beheads The Reflection of Perfection. Karma Jones grabs Cody Williams shoulder and rolls him onto his back. He hooks Cody’s leg and makes the pin attempt.

One!

Two!!

Th.. NO! Kickout!

Karma Jones hits Cody with a few elbow strikes to the side of Cody’s head and pushes Cody back onto the mat and covers him again.

One!

Two!!

Th… NO! Cody gets the shoulder up again. Frustrated, Karma Jones grabs Paradine by his shirt and questions his authority. Paradine points to the stripes on his shirt and reminds Karma that he is the referee and he needs to respect his authority. Karma lets go of his grip and takes a step back, he cocks his arm back to strike Paradine in the face but is suddenly rolled up by Cody Williams in a schoolboy pinning predicament. Paradine drops to his knees and makes the count.

One!

Two!!

Th… Karma gets his shoulder up off of the canvas in just the nick of time.

Karma hops up onto his feet before Cody can and attacks him with a barrage of forearm strikes to the upper back area. He stands Cody up and hits him with a hard right to the side of the head. Cody responds by hitting him with a forearm to the side of Karma’s face. Karma immediately hits Cody with another hard right, Cody retaliating with a European uppercut that visibly stuns Karma Jones. Cody hits him with another forearm shot that makes karma stumble backwards. Cody has a look of surprise on his face as he sees his opponent still standing. He bounces off of the ropes and hits a running forearm that sends Karma Jones reeling but he still remains standing. Karma bounces off of the ropes from impact and swings for the fences with a hard clothesline, Cody ducks underneath and bounces off of the ropes on the opposite side. Karma turns around and Cody nearly takes his head off with a vicious running Yakuza kick.

Cody looks out into the crowd and makes a cut throat motion signifying that this match is over. He picks a lifeless Karma Jones up off of the mat and kicks him in the stomach. He hooks Karma’s arms in a double underhook and sets him up for Pure Perfection. Karma Jones wiggles free and spins out of the double underhook. He kicks Cody in the solar plexus and whips him into the corner. Cody puts on the breaks and comes to a screeching halt, coming inches from sandwiching Nathan Paradine in the corner. Cody pats Paradine on the shoulder and turns around to see Karma Jones running towards him. Williams slips out of the way and Karma Jones collides with Paradine, crumbling him to the mat with a running clothesline. Cody grabs Jones by the shoulders and spins him around. Karma swats Cody’s hands out of the way and lands a kick right between the legs, dropping Williams down onto the canvas.

Karma Jones rolls out of the ring and pushes the timekeeper off of his chair and retrieves it, folding it up and tossing it into the ring. Karma Jones rolls back into the ring and grabs his weapon of choice and looks down at a fallen Cody Williams. Cody Williams starts showing signs off life and makes his way onto his feet. Karma lifts up the steel chair, ready to hit Cody into next week when Nathan Paradine shoves Jones. Karma turns around and glares into the eyes of Paradine who is threatening to disqualify him if he uses the chair. Cody Williams makes it onto his feet, waiting for Karma to turn around. Karma makes his way around and Cody Williams connects with a superkick that echoes throughout the arena. But he didn’t hit Karma, he hit Paradine instead! Karma Jones side stepped out of harms way and Cody accidentally struck Nathan Paradine.

Cody drops down and checks on Paradine, seeing if he is okay. Paradine begins to come to, Cody helping him into a seated position. Cody stands up and looks down at Paradine, he turns around to see Karma Jones swing the steel chair at him. Cody ducks underneath and kicks him in the gut, causing him to drop the steel chair. Cody applies the double underhooks and lifts Karma into the air, before dropping him down face first with a sitout double underhook face buster. Cody connects with PURE PERFECTION right in the middle of the ring. Cody flips Karma over and makes the cover, making sure to hook the leg. Paradine slowly makes his way over and slowly makes the count.

One!

Two!!

THREE!!!

Cody Williams hops up onto his feet and looks down at his fallen opponent. He rushes over to the nearest turnbuckle and raises his arms into the air in victory. He points out into the crowd before hopping back down onto the canvas. He turns around and is confronted by Nathan Paradine who questions his motives. Cody explains that it was an accident and that Jones was the one who brought the chair into the ring. Karma Jones is seen outside of the ring, clutching his head with a look of disappointment and frustration. Paradine slowly steps away and motions that he is watching Cody as he slowly rolls out of the ring, leaving Cody to celebrate his victory.

COMPANY POLICYNathan Paradine is shown standing backstage following his referee duties in the Karma Jones/Cody Williams match. He approaches his locker room, however he pauses in the middle of the hallway when he notices two Company agents standing in front of the door. He turns around, however two more agents turn around the corner to block the path. He glances from left to right, an uncertain expression on his face. He moves towards his locker room, however both of the agents refuse to budge.

Nathan Paradine: “Can I get into my locker room, please?”

The agents both look at him with neutral expressions. From further down the hallway, one of the agents speaks.

Agent #1: “Mr. Anderson is displeased with the result of the match you refereed, Mr. Paradine. He has requested that we ensure you do not… allow such a thing to happen again.”

Nathan Paradine: “What do you mean?”

Agent #1: “The match did not turn out how the Company planned. You were the man who officiated the match, which means that it is your mistake. Mistakes will not be tolerated. and dealt with accordingly.”

Nathan Paradine: “Now, hang on just a moment sunshine-“

Paradine doesn’t get a chance to finish his sentence, as the agent swings and connects with his face. Paradine staggers backwards and the three remaining men join in the beat down, knocking Paradine down to the ground and laying in with a series of kicks as the scene comes to an end.BACKSTAGE

SUSPICIONSThe cameras are backstage following behind a determined Mr. Anderson as he storms in unannounced into the Beautiful Shame locker room. Slamming the door behind him Mr. Anderson stomps in and looks as menacing as he can considering he’s not a very physical imposing person.

Mr. Anderson: I’m warning you two, if I find out either one of you are the ones taking out my guys, I’m going to fire you on the spot!

Roscoe Shame: What are you talking about?

BBD: Wait… You mean, someone is taking out the Company?

BBD bursts out in laughter.

Roscoe Shame: What a coincidence, wasn’t it just last week we were being systematically taken out as well? I think we got ourselves a bit of a problem, don’t you Bobby?

BBD: Yes, Roscoe, in fact I’m beginning to think these halls aren’t safe anymore.

BBD and Roscoe share a laugh but stop as Mr. Anderson’s walkie talkie begins to crackle.

Voice: Mr. Anderson, Ethan Rider was just found just outside the men’s room…

Mr. Anderson: Damn it!!!

BBD: See? It wasn’t us, we’ve been here with you all this time.

BBD and Roscoe once again burst out into laughter as a frustrated Mr. Anderson storms out of the room heading towards another scene of carnage.
The arena lights fade and a red light begins to slowly strobe as “March of the Pigs” by Nine Inch Nails pounds through the arena over the PA system. The crowd burst into a loud chorus of boos as The Company logo floats onto the sVo tron, quickly replaced by a name.

“N I G H T M A R E”

The curtains part and a man in red trunks with a black streak down the side and a black mask cut away at the top to reveal a freshly shaved head of hair. He half-grins/half-sneers at the jeering audience surrounding him and wastes little time in stalking down the entrance ramp before quickly sliding under the bottom rope and into the ring. He stands, jawing off at various members of the crowd as he awaits the start of the match.

“Talkin 2 Myself” by Eminem begins to play. Smoke begins to fill the stage as the lights dim to near darkness. A beam of bright white light shines from the stage. As the light begins to dim, Joseph Equinox can be seen standing at the top of the stage with smoke foating all around him. Equinox moves to the top of the ramp and stops before he flails his arms out to the side of him and a pyro lightning bolt fires down and strikes him. The spotlights loom over where Equinox was standing but he is no longer there. All of a sudden 4 more lighting bolts crash down on each corner of the ring and the arena lights change to a dark blue. And there standing in the ring is Equinox with smoke now floating around the ring. Joseph Equinox then looks up the ramp and takes off his shades as he awaits his opponent.

Joseph Equinox stares down the monster of the Company, Nightmare, as the bell rings for this match to officially get underway. Both men slowly move forward towards each other, before Nightmare suddenly takes down Equinox with a double leg sweep, before firing away with big right hands into the face of the former Tag Team Champion. Equinox is finally able to block the right hands and roll back up to his feet, but Nightmare takes him straight back down to the mat with an arm drag takedown, before locking him in a modified arm bar.

The fans boo the offence from Nightmare who tightens up on the arm of Equinox, however Equinox is finally able to get back to his feet, and reverse the hold into a wrise lock onto Nightmare. Nightmare uses his power to twist out of the move and send Equinox hard into the corner. Nightmare looks for a spear in the corner of the ring into Equinox, however the man from Orlando, Florida manages to dive out of the way just in time, and Nightmare smashes into the turnbuckle shoulder first! The crowd cheer as Nightmare stumbles back holding his shoulder in pain, and Equinox takes advantage with an arm breaker onto the Company man. With Nightmare down on the mat, Equinox stomps away on his opponent, before getting a big cheer from the crowd.

Nightmare gets back to his feet and lunges at Equinox, however Equinox blocks him off with a knee to the midsection before taking his opponent to the mat with a side head lock takedown. Nightmare is quickly able to use a leg scissors to fight his way out of the side head lock and get back to his feet, but Equinox is there waiting for him with a big standing dropkick! The dropkick sends Nightmare back into the corner of the ring. The crowd cheer Equinox on as he runs at Nightmare in the corner, however Nightmare drops his shoulder and sends Equinox over the top rope! Equinox uses brilliant balance to land on the ring apron, but Nightmare manages to spin around and knock him down to the floor with a big right hand!

Nightmare soaks in the boos from the fans as he climbs out of the ring to meet Equinox on the outside. Under the falls count anywhere rules the referee is powerless to do anything about it as Nightmare pulls Equinox up to his feet before scoop slamming him down onto the hard floor! Equinox arches his back in pain as the slam on the floor, however it seems as if Nightmare isn’t finished with him yet! Nightmare quickly pushes over a nearby cameraman and grabs the cabals attached to the camera! Nightmare then wraps them around the throat of Equinox and begins to choke him out! The fans continue to boo loudly until Equinox is finally able to free himself with a head butt onto the monster Nightmare.

Equinox stumbles away from Nightmare, but the man who took out Alex Brooks last night on UnSanctioned is in close attendance, with a clothesline to the back of Equinox’s head that knocks him down face first on the bottom of the steel entrance ramp. Nightmare looks to be thinking evil thoughts as he carefully pulls up Equinox, before positioning him for a piledriver onto the unforgiving steel of the entrance ramp! The crowd boo loudly, but the boos turn to cheers as Equinox counters with a back body drop onto Nightmare! Nightmare hits the steel back first, and Equinox tries to stumble to his feet.

Nightmare writhes in pain, but Equinox looks as if he is ready to take some revenge for Alex Brook from last week on Showdown as he grabs hold of Nightmare and pulls him up to the top of the entrance ramp! The fans cheer ready for Equinox as he signals that he is ready to throw Nightmare off of the top of the entrance ramp, just like Nightmare did to Alex Brooks last week! Equinox pulls Nightmare to the edge of the entrance ramp, but before he can do anything Nightmare counters out of no where with a DDT on Equinox onto the steel! The fans boo loudly as Nightmare crawls over his opponent to make the cover.

One…

Two…

NO!

Everyone thought that it was all over right there, but somehow Equinox manages to get a shoulder up off of the mat, despite being dropped head first onto the steel! Nightmare slowly rises to his feet and stands waiting for Equinox to do the same thing. The fans begin to chant for Joseph Equinox, but Nightmare shows no mercy as he grabs him by the back of the head and slams him face first into the side of the giant screen that is showing all of the action! Equinox stumbles back holding his face in pain, and Nightmare quickly jumps on his chance to lock in the Nightmare Sleeper on Joseph Equinox!

The fans boo loudly for the submission move from the monster Nightmare as he wraps himself around Equinox and begins to squeeze the life out of the popular superstar. The fans begin to boo even louder as after a few seconds Equinox has no choice but to tap his hand against the steel of the entrance ramp and give up before he passes out!

Nightmare’s music hits the sound system, however it looks as if he is hell bent on taking out Joseph Equinox as he keeps the hold locked onto his opponent. The referee desperately tries to get Nightmare to release the hold, however Nightmare keeps the Nightmare Sleeper locked onto Joseph Equinox, just as he did to Alex Brooks last night at the end of UnSanctioned! The crowd boo loudly for the actions of Nightmare as Joseph Equinox continues to fade under the hold.

Suddenly there is a big cheer from the crowd as Alex Brooks appears at the top of the entrance stage with a steel chair in his hand! The Unlikely Hero jumps forward and smashes the chair into the back of Nightmare! Nightmare looks around for a few seconds stunned at what has just happened, before releasing the hold on Joseph Equinox and getting to his feet. Alex Brooks stares at Nightmare wondering why the steel chair shot had little or no effect, as Nightmare smiles at the sixteen year old rookie! Alex Brooks still looks to be hurting from the attack last night as officials quickly stream out from the back to separate Nightmare and Brooks and check on the status of Joseph Equinox. But with Alex Brooks saving Joseph Equinox from the monster and trying to get some revenge, has he just infuriated Nightmare even more?

OUTCOME: Nightmare defeats Joseph Equinox via submission
sVo Showdown #64

Goodfellas Casino Arena, Las Vegas NevadaBACKSTAGE

ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUSTHigh above the Goodfellas Casino Arena, Matt Anderson once again is found surveying the show from the skybox. A loud, aggressive knock at the door causes the sVo Manager to flinch. He closes his eyes, unsure of what to do.

Matt Anderson: “Come in.”

He turns to find exactly who he expected – Nightmare – a sinister smirk plastered onto his masked face.

Nightmare: “And there we have it. Add Joseph Equinox to the list of problems solved by Nightmare.”

Anderson clears his throat, staring uncertainly at the unhinged masked man.

Matt Anderson: “Congratulations – it was a stellar performance you put on out there…”

Nightmare: “… cut the shit, Matt. I know I put on a stellar performance out there, that’s what I do. You hired me in the first place because I am the most dangerous man in between those ropes – consistently. I am the only man for the job because I am the only man who can go out there week after week and take out anyone I need to.”

He glowers, stalking towards his employer.

Nightmare: “You know why I’m here.”

Matt Anderson: “The truth is… I don’t have the power to do what you’re asking. I’ve passed on your sentiments to my superiors…”

Nightmare: “BULLSHIT! This is your last chance. You need to talk to your superiors – go fucking do it or you will be looking for someone else to take care of this shit for you… got it?”

Anderson nods uncertainly.

Matt Anderson: “Got it.”

Nightmare strides towards Anderson before plucking one of the cigars from the box on the coffee table – he sniffs at it indulgently.

Nightmare: “You can keep this one.”

He tosses the single cigar onto the coffee table before picking up the remaining box and storming out of the skybox once more leaving Anderson in stunned silence.
The fans in the arena pop as yellow and red fireworks shoot up into the air from the entrance ramp as “Drop Tha World” by Lil Wayne hits the sound system. A few seconds later Roscoe Shame appears at the top of the ramp pretending to play the guitar, and the fans go wild for 6’6″ heavyweight from Kalamazoo, Michigan. The fans stand to their feet and cheer at the mockery he is making of himself at the top of the entrance stage before he makes his way slowly down the entrance ramp his way to the ring. As Shame walks past pyro’s shoot up alongside him from either side of the ramp until he reaches the ring. Roscoe Shame slowly climbs into the ring soaking up the fans reaction, before posing on the nearest turnbuckle.

“Your Betrayal” by Bullet for my Valentine hits the sound system and the fans in the arena quickly begin to boo. After a few seconds red fireworks shoot up from the entrance stage as Samuel Amos walks out and taunts to the fans. Amos looks around at the crowd, before slowly making his way down the entrance ramp towards the ring. Amos ignores the outstretched hands of the fans as he climbs up onto the ring apron before turning to taunt the fans again. The fans continue to boo Amos as he steps into the ring by climbing through the ring ropes before preparing for the match to start in the corner of the ring.

Both men look ready to get the match under way as they circle around each other in the middle of the ring, before diving forward to tie up. Roscoe Shame quickly uses his size advantage to push Samuel Amos down to the mat, before running through the TapOut Champion with a big clothesline as he rises back to his feet. The fans give a mixed reaction to the World Heavyweight Champion as he allows Amos to get to his feet, before slamming him face first into the turnbuckle in the corner of the ring. Samuel Amos stumbles backwards out of the corner of the ring, and Roscoe Shame takes him down with an impressive reverse scoop slam.

Samuel Amos quickly rolls out of the ring to put some space between himself and impressive World Heavyweight Champion, and quickly gets heat from the fans for doing so. Meanwhile Roscoe Shame stands in the middle of the ring looking down at Amos who is marching around the outside of the ring with a pissed off look on his face. Amos begins trash talking with some of the fans at ringside, before rolling back in under the bottom rope before getting counted out. Roscoe Shame quickly goes to work on Amos with some big stomps to the back, before bringing him to his feet.

Roscoe Shame quickly grabs Amos by the arm and shoots him into the ropes. Amos bounces back into the middle of the ring and Shame looks for a big boot on the TapOut Champion, however Samuel Amos looks to have the move well scouted, and he counters with a diving dropkick into the knee of Roscoe Shame. The big man holds his knee in pain, and Samuel Amos takes advantage with a swinging neckbreaker onto the World Heavyweight Champion. Amos rolls back to his feet with a smug look on his face at taking down the big man, but behind his back Roscoe Shame slowly rises up! Amos turns around and goes straight back to work on Shame with some right hands to the jaw which send Shame backwards into the corner of the ring.

With Roscoe Shame in the corner of the ring, Samuel Amos climbs up onto the first rope, and then begins to hammer away on Shame with some big mounted punches in the corner, each one getting a boo from the crowd. However the punches only seem to wake up the giant, as he grabs hold of Amos around the chest and hits him with a running powerbomb out of the corner! The fans give a mixed reaction for the big move, as Roscoe Shame makes the cover onto the TapOut Champion!

ONE..

TWO..

NO!

It looked like Roscoe Shame was going to pick up a big win right there, however Samuel Amos managed to get his shoulder up off of the canvas just before the three could be counted!

Shame wastes no time as he grabs hold of Amos by the hair and yanks the TapOut Champion back to his feet. Shame nails Amos with some big knees to the midsection, before showing off his power by pulling Amos up into the air with a Military press slam! Shame looks down at Amos who is rolling around on the canvas in pain, before signalling for his finishing move! Samuel Amos slowly rises up to his feet not having a clue what is coming next, until he is grabbed by the World Heavyweight Champion who positions him for the ‘Shame Time’! The fans rise to their feet to see the finishing move as Roscoe Shame heaves Samuel Amos up into the air, however before he can toss Amos back down to the mat, the TapOut Champion counters out of no where with a jumping DDT onto Roscoe Shame! Shame’s head hits the mat hard, and both men are now down in the middle of the ring. The referee begins to count both men out, until Samuel Amos is able to slowly crawl across and stretch an arm over the body of Roscoe Shame!

ONE..

TWO..

NO!

It looked like Samuel Amos was going to pick up a shock win right there, but Shame had enough about him to still be able to kick out of the cover before the three could be counted! Samuel Amos slowly struggles back up to his feet, and leans against the ropes as he waits for his opponent to get to his feet as well. Roscoe Shame finally does stand up, only for Amos to run at him and take him back down to the mat with a Lui Thesz press! Samuel Amos lays into Roscoe Shame with some big mounted punches off of the Thesz Press, before jumping to his feet and bouncing into the ring ropes. Amos returns back into the middle of the ring to drop a knee down onto the body of Roscoe Shame!

Shame rises to his feet looking in pain after the big move from Samuel Amos, however the TapOut Champion doesn’t look as if he is down yet as he sweeps both of Roscoe Shame’s legs away, before locking the big man in a figure four leg lock! Roscoe Shame shouts out in pain at being locked in the painful submission hold by the former solider from Virginia, as Amos tries to tighten the hold even further and force a submission victory over the World Heavyweight Champion!

Roscoe Shame despratly tries to reach out to make it to the ropes, and is finally able to grab hold of the bottom rope to force the rope break, making use of his massive frame! Samuel Amos looks reluctant to break the hold until the referee threatens to disqualify him, and gets even more boos from the crowd for doing so. Samuel Amos stands in wait for Roscoe Shame to rise up to his feet before running at the big man looking for a jumping DDT. However Roscoe Shame manages to catch Samuel Amos in mid air, and then slams him down to the mat with a huge powerslam!

Amos looks to be hurt as he rolls around in pain at the big move as Roscoe Shame pulls himself back up to his feet using the ring ropes. Amos slowly does the same, however Roscoe Shame runs across and quickly knocks him back down with a big boot to the face! That boot could have knocked Samuel Amos clean out as Roscoe Shame makes the cover!

One…

Two…

NO!

It looked like it was all over, but before the three can be counted by the referee, Amos reaches out with his leg and places it on the bottom rope! Roscoe Shame doesn’t look best pleased as he hits Samuel Amos with some clubbing blows as he pulls him back up to his feet. Roscoe Shame tosses Samuel Amos into the ropes with authority, before slamming him down with a massive spinebuster as he bounces back! With Amos down on the mat infront of him, Roscoe Shame flips over his opponent before locking on an ankle lock! Amos screams out in pain at the painful submission hold, as it looks like Shame is looking to make the sVo TapOut Champion tapout! However much to the disappointment of the fans Samuel Amos is quickly able to make it to the bottom rope to break the hold.

Roscoe Shame releases the ankle lock, however he quickly grabs Amos by the legs and pulls him back into the middle of the ring. Shame then once again tries to lock in the ankle lock! However this time Samuel Amos is able to spin around and smash Shame with a kick to the face to stop him from applying the hold. Samuel Amos rises to his feet as Shame stumbles around holding his face in pain. Shame runs at Amos looking for a clothesline, however Amos ducks under the clothesline and bounces into the ropes himself. Amos and Shame meet in the middle of the ring, where Amos leaps up onto Roscoe Shame and slams him down with the ‘infAMOS’! The fans are in shock as Samuel Amos makes the cover on the sVo World Heavyweight Champion!

ONE…

TWO..

THREE!

IT’S ALL OVER!

“Your Betrayal” by Bullet for my Valentine hits the sound system and the fans boo loudly as Samuel Amos rises up to his feet and has his hand raised in victory by the referee! Amos grabs the TapOut Championship from the referee, but before leaving the ringside area, he stares across at the sVo World Heavyweight Championship belt sitting at ringside. With Roscoe Shame still down after that thunderous ‘infAMOS’, has Samuel Amos just moved one step closer to becoming a future sVo World Heavyweight Champion? The fans boo loudly as Amos rolls out of the ring with his title belt, and celebrates his victory whilst making his way back up the entrance ramp.

OUTCOME: Samuel Amos defeats Roscoe Shame via pinfallBACKSTAGE

CLEARING THINGS UPBack live and the backstage area is buzzing as Candi is setting up to interview Chris Wrestling and find out the reason he decided to team up with Rey Rosario. You can tell that the whole crew backstage is on edge as Chris Wrestling makes his way onto the interview set. Shaking hands with everyone, Wrestling makes his way over to the nervous Candi. Seeing that the woman is nervous, Wrestling puts his hand on her shoulder.

Wrestling: Its ok, I’m not going to rip your head off.

Candi: I’ve heard stories of your interviews in the past.

Wrestling: Hence why I don’t do that many.

Laughing nervously, Candi walks to the middle of the interview area. Following, Wrestling makes his way over.

Candi: Tonight I’m joined by number one contender to the International Title, the man known as Canadian Perfect Chris Wrestling.

Wrestling: Thank you.

Candi: The question on my mind and everyone else’s in SVO as well as the entire wrestling world is this…why would you side with The Canadian Connection over The Corporation or any other faction in SVO?

Wrestling: That’s a good question really. But let me explain my reasoning behind it.

Clearing his throat, a small smile crosses his lips.

Wrestling: You see, as much as Rey and I had our differences, we both know what’s best for business. I mean let’s be honest, how many times have Rey and I tried to end each other? No matter what you hear or what people say, without Chris Wrestling SVO isn’t what it is today. Now am I saying that without me here SVO wouldn’t be around? Hell no I’m not. SVO would be around, it’s just that I have gone up and down the road here. I’ve gone to war with Angel The Malignant, Night, Rey Rosario, BBD, Grimnir, DVD…I’ve fought them all. Along with those guys, we paved the way for SVO today, for the likes of the Colt Cooper. James Von Drake…to name a few.

Wrestling: So to answer the question, I did what I did as a show of respect to Rey and to SVO and what it stands for.

The crowd from the arena explodes in cheers as Wrestling begins to pace back and forth.

Wrestling: Now with that being said, I’ve heard all the talk about why I did what I did. I didn’t do it because I felt as if I sold out to The Canadian Connection. And people said that the Canadian Connection wouldn’t back me in this war against The Company. Well I got news for all of you. The Canadian Connection is still as strong as ever. We are united in doing what’s best for SVO and for us. Matter of fact we are going to go to war against The Company each and every time that we can.

Wrestling: Did I do it to push The Corporation out of SVO? Not at all. Let me make this clear to everyone…I have respect for The Corporation. I didn’t do this to disrespect them, I did this to better SVO as a whole. Not saying that The Corporation wouldn’t be good for SVO, but a proven commodity is what it is. I’m sure that everyone will try to read more into that but it is what it is.

Candi: Can you answer to those who say that this is all a ploy?

Laughing

Wrestling: If this was going to be a ploy, I’d have gotten the Canadian Connection to pool our loot and go from there, or even better yet I’d just pony up the loot out of my own pocket and buy SVO altogether. But what we did is this, the Canadian Connection backed me up in this decision and said that it was a good move for us as a team to do this. So with that being said, I want to address a few people.

Clearing his throat his gaze digs into the camera.

Wrestling: For all the talk about me being old and all that stuff, I’m sure these boys won’t have any issues in getting into the ring with the Canadian Connection and actually backing up those man pleasers that they call mouths. I’m talking about Colt Cooper, and his newest sidekick Ethan Rider.

Boos reign down from the arena as Wrestling’s gaze doesn’t budge from the camera.

Wrestling: Cooper, you got lucky tonight and that’s because you needed help to win. A win is a win, I’m all about that. But in a one on one fight, you don’t win against me. Company, I want to see if you boys have the stones to get into a ring against the Canadian Connection and take us on, faction against faction in a brawl with no rules. I’m sure that some of you will have some witty comment to make about me and that’s fine, I’m used to your petty and pathetic attempts to get me mad. But let’s see just how good you fools are once that bell rings and we get to throwing punches.

The crowd begins to pop big time as Wrestling walks back to Candi. His eyes tell the story, anger and rage…the norm from him.

Wrestling: You guys have taken the easy road since day one here. I want to make sure that you boys are really willing to go that extra mile and just let it all go for broke. Come on boys, you love to talk big, now it’s time to back that noise up. I’m sick and tired of hearing you boys talk about how big and bad you are and how you are. So get into that ring and back it up, I’m sure that you boys can get the time to get into that ring and fight us. And I don’t mean a nice wrestling match, I mean an all out war. A blood bath where we all suffer. I want this, I’m not sure you want this.

Wrestling: I’ll get the Canadian Connection together, you get your boys together and we’ll settle this the old fashioned way. Fist to fist, knuckle up and bleed. You boys want to see the mean side of Chris Wrestling; well you’re going to get it. See ya’ll in the ring boys.

Wrestling walks off as the crowd goes wild. Standing there Candi looks confused as the scene cuts to another part of the backstage area.
There are cheers all around the arena as suddenly “Travel Now Journey Infinintely” by Trinacria hits the sound system. The dull tones pick up speed as the haunting voice of a woman sings. As the voice reaches full pitch, the arena’s house lights washes out the arena in light before returning to normal, leaving Grimnir standing at the entrance. He starts to slowly walk down as the hammering drums and energy filled riffs grind through to his very last step. He stands at the front of the ring, points up the sky with both hands, slides into the ring and then kneels, looking as if he were praying. He stays there for a moment and then springs up to his feet, ready for action.

“You’re the Best” begins to play as the lights go down and a baby blue spotlight is shown at the top of the entrance ramp. BBD comes out to a chorus of boos in his baby blue Ric Flair-esque robe that is covered in sparkling diamonds. He struts his way down the entrance ramp refusing to touch the out stretched hands of fans at ringside. Walking up the steel steps, he wipes his feet off before stepping into the ring. Walking over to his corner he proceeds to remove his robe and warm up for the upcoming match.

The crowd are firmly behind Grimnir as the referee calls for the bell to be rung, and this match between the two number one contenders for the sVo World Heavyweight Championship match is underway! Bobby Dean and Grimnir slowly circle each other in the middle of the ring, trying to figure each other out as the crowd continue to chant loudly for Grimnir. The pair finally move forward and tie up and try and push each other back to assert some dominance. Grimnir quickly takes down Bobby Dean with an arm drag takedown which gets a cheer from the crowd. Bobby Dean gets straight back to his feet and runs at Grimnir, however Grimnir is there with another arm drag takedown!

Bobby Dean gets back to his feet and Grimnir goes for a double leg sweep onto the former International & Las Vegas Champion, however Bobby Dean counters with an elbow into the top of Grimnir’s head, before taking down the masked man with a hip toss. With Grimnir down on the mat, Bobby Dean lays into him with some mounted punches to his masked face. The crowd boo Bobby Dean as he allows Grimnir to his feet before laying into the masked man with some big knees to the midsection. Bobby Dean then sends Grimnir hard into the nearest corner before taunting to the fans.

The fans boo loudly for Bobby Dean as he cockily approaches Grimnir in the corner and hits him with a massive knife edge chop which echos around the arena. Bobby Dean repeats the move once more, until his arm is grabbed by Grimnir. Grimnir pulls Dean’s arm around the top rope and begins to twist it backwards on its self until the referee calls for a rope break. Bobby Dean staggers out of the corner holding his arm in pain, but Grimnir follows up with a bulldog takedown into the middle of the ring which delights the fans. With Bobby Dean down, Grimnir quickly flips his opponent over and goes for an early cover.

One…

Two…

NO!

It looked like the former Las Vegas Champion was going to pick up a big win ahead of Seasons Beatings triple threat main event, but Dean manages to get a shoulder up off of the mat before the three can be counted by the referee. The masked Grimnir grabs hold of Bobby Dean by his golden locks and pulls him up to a standing position, before slamming him across his knee with a back breaker. The fans begin another Grimnir chant for the man who has been dominant since appearing in the sVo nearly two months ago, and he responds by signalling to the fans. Grimnir waits for Bobby Dean to rise to his feet before springing forward looking for some ‘Masked Justice’ on his opponent, however Bobby Dean is able to grab hold of Grimnir’s leg!

The fans boo as Bobby Dean knocks away Grimnir’s standing leg, before dropping his elbow into the inside of Grimnir’s knee. Grimnir holds his knee in pain, but Bobby Dean once again repeats the elbow drop into the knee, before rising to his feet looking very pleased with himself. There are boos around the arena as Grimnir staggers to his feet only to be taken down with a quick snap suplex from Bobby Dean. The ‘Beautiful One’ looks to be gathering some momentum as he bounces off of the ring ropes before dropping an elbow into the chest of Grimnir.

With Grimnir down on the mat, Bobby Dean looks around at the crowd with a smirk on his face. The fans boo as they wonder just what has crossed the sick mind of BBD. Dean then suddenly leaps down onto the body of Grimnir and tries to pull of the man’s mask! Despite being warned earlier in the night about the suspension that would face anyone that unmasked Grimnir, it seems Bobby Dean wants to know just who is under the mask, and just who has the contract for a World Championship match from three years ago! Bobby Dean tries desperately to yank the mask off of Grimnir’s face, until Grimnir is able to knock him away with a mule kick. Grimnir checks that his mask is still on currently, before taking down the onrushing Bobby Dean with a big flapjack in the middle of the ring. With Bobby Dean down on the mat, it looks like Grimnir is ready to make him pay for trying to unmask him, as he points to the top rope!

The fans rise to their feet as Grimnir slowly makes his way to the corner of the ring, before climbing up to the top of the turnbuckle. Bobby Dean lays motionless in the middle of the ring, as Grimnir leaps from the top rope and lands a perfect flying elbow from the top onto the downed body of Bobby Dean! This one is surely all over as Grimnir rolls over the body of BBD to make the cover!

ONE..

TWO…

NO!

Everyone in the arena is surprised as somehow Bobby Dean’s shoulder comes shooting off of the canvas before the count of three. Grimnir looks down at his opponent and shakes his head, before pulling him back to his feet to inflict some more pain. Grimnir hits Bobby Dean with some strong haymakers, before grabbing him by the arm to send him into the ring ropes. However Bobby Dean manages to reverse the whip and send Grimnir into the ropes, before taking him down with a dropkick back onto the knee of Grimnir!

Grimnir holds the knee that Dean was working over earlier as Bobby Dean stands over his opponent taunting him. Grimnir bravely tries to lift himself back up to a standing position, but BBD is there waiting for him with a flurry of punches onto his back. Bobby Dean then takes down Grimnir with a stiff dragon screw takedown, before grabbing hold of Grimnir’s legs, and looking around at the crowd with his trademark smirk etched on his face. The crowd boo loudly as Bobby Dean steps through the legs of Grimnir and locks on a Texas Cloverleaf submission hold on Grimnir! Grimnir shouts out at the pain shooting through the leg that Bobby Dean has already worked over, as Bobby Dean looks for the submission victory in the middle of the ring!

The referee asks the masked Grimnir if he would like to tap, however Grimnir shakes his head, and desperately reaches out for the bottom rope to try and break the hold. Bobby Dean smiles as he clenches back even harder on the hold, looking to not only win the match but also rule Grimnir out of the triple threat World Championship match at Seasons Beatings in a few weeks time! However much to the shock of Bobby Dean, there is a huge cheer from the crowd as somehow Grimnir is able to reach out and grab hold of the bottom rope. Bobby Dean shakes his head and refuses to believe it as the referee tells him to break the hold. Bobby Dean keeps the cloverleaf locked on for the full five count, until the referee tells him to release it one last time before disqualifying him! Finally Bobby Dean breaks the hold to a round of boos from the fans.

Bobby Dean smirks as he looks down at Grimnir clutching his leg in pain. Dean quickly goes straight back to work on the knee of Grimnir with some big kicks. He might not have won the match there, but how is Grimnir ever going to be able to hit a ‘Masked Justice’ tonight with an injured knee? Bobby Dean pulls Grimnir back to his feet before dropping him straight back onto the knee with an atomic drop. With Grimnir down on the mat, Bobby Dean drops down and hooks the leg of his opponent.

One..

Two…

NO!

There is a big pop from the crowd as somehow Grimnir manages to get a shoulder up off of the mat. Bobby Dean looks down at Grimnir and shakes his head, before pressing his shoulders straight back down onto the mat and going for another cover. However again Grimnir kicks out after two! The fans boo Bobby Dean loudly as he rises up to his feet and berates the referee for what he considers a slow count. However behind the back of Bobby Dean, Grimnir slowly begins to rise to his feet! The cheers of the crowd alert Bobby Dean as he turns around, only to walk straight into a ‘Masked Justice’ from Grimnir! The fans pop for the move, as Grimnir holds his knee in pain as he slowly crawls over the body of Bobby Dean!

ONE…

TWO…

THREE!

This one is all over! The fans pop as Grimnir’s music hits the sound system and he is helped to his feet by the referee. The referee raises Grimnir’s hand in the air in victory, as the masked superstar stares down at Bobby Dean who is still out cold after the Masked Justice. With Grimnir now with singles wins over both Roscoe Shame and Bobby Dean, will he be able to overcome the two friends when all three men are involved in a triple threat match in the main event at Seasons Beatings, and walk out as the new sVo World Heavyweight Champion?

OUTCOME: Grimnir defeats Bobby Dean via pinfallBACKSTAGE

SHOWDOWNThe fans continue to cheer Grimnir as he backs up the entrance ramp, however out of nowhere Roscoe Shame comes running out from the back and nails Grimnir in the back of the head! The fans boo the arrival of Roscoe Shame alongside his manager Jeremiah Sloan, as he knocks Grimnir down to the floor. Shame then pulls Grimnir up and tosses him into the ring under the bottom rope. The fans continue to boo as Bobby Dean looks over at his best friend and smiles as Shame climbs into the ring. The pair look down at Grimnir who is trying desperately to rise to his feet. It seems that Beautiful Shame are ready to take Grimnir out of action and leave the triple threat match at Seasons Beatings a straight up singles match between the pair.

The fans boo as Roscoe Shame grabs hold of Grimnir by the arms, and Bobby Dean signals to the crowd that he is ready to take off the mask of Grimnir! Grimnir desperately tries to struggle free of Roscoe Shame’s grip as BBD approaches, and before he can get any closer Grimir is able to twist his body and hit Bobby Dean with another kick to the face to send him down to the mat! The fans cheer as Grimnir rolls a stunned Roscoe Shame off with a firemans carry takedown, before rolling out of the ring with his mask intact! The fans cheer loudly for Grimnir as he hops over the security barrier and into the crowd, leaving Bobby Dean and Roscoe Shame struggling to their feet in the ring. However things soon go from bad to worse for Beautiful Shame, as the Company begins to make their way menacingly down the entranceway! The crowd continue to boo the arrival of James Von Drake, Nightmare, Ethan Rider and Colt Cooper as they surround the ring!

With the match out of the way, BBD, Jeremiah Sloan and Roscoe Shame find themselves in the same situation as they were in last week. The Company, bruised and battered, stand surrounding the ring, ready to exact their revenge on these three. The Company rushes into the ring as the two factions square off. The numbers game proves to be too much for Beautiful Shame as they struggle in their fight.

Suddenly there is a commotion in the audience as a figure rushes out, over the guardrail, sliding into the ring, a wooden bat in hand. Swinging the bat he nails JVD in the ribs freeing up Jeremiah Sloan, who quickly goes to help Roscoe Shame against Nightmare and Colt Cooper.

One by one the Company high tails it out of the ring leaving Bobby Dean, Jeremiah Sloan, and Roscoe Shame in the ring with a smiling, bat wielding, Joseph Equinox!

CAREER OR COMRADEThe fans rise to their feet and begin to cheer as “Sorry You’re Not A Winner” by Enter Shikari begins to blast over the sound system. Nathan Paradine emerges from backstage, limping slightly after being roughed up by Company security guards backstage earlier in the evening. He walks down to the bottom of the ramp, staring up at the ring before taking a deep breath and climbing up the steel stairs. He steps between the ropes and calls for a microphone, glancing around at the crowd before speaking.

Nathan Paradine: “I think I can honestly say that I’ve been having a really, really bad evening.”

The crowd pops, the memory of the backstage attack still fresh in their minds.

Nathan Paradine: “For the last six months, the Sanctioned Violence Organization has been practically held captive by the mysterious, faceless group known only as The Company. Over time, their agents have been revealed; men like Matt Anderson and John Beck, little more than middle men or hired guns…”

The crowd boos as Paradine lists off the names of Anderson and Beck.

Nathan Paradine: “But now, certain members of the roster have grown tired of living under thumb of these people. I am one of those who has chosen to stand up for what I believe in and fight for the sVo. Because of that, I was beaten backstage by a couple of hired thugs.”

Paradine paces back and forth, musing over his next words carefully.

Nathan Paradine: “Until now, our counterattack has been ineffective. I have my faith not in Joseph Equinox, but in the unknown Masked Man. I believe that this man can end the reign of terror that the Company currently holds over the sVo.”

The crowd cheers at the mention of the Masked Man, the first true defender of the Sanctioned Violence Organization. The camera focuses on signs in the crowd such as “I am the Masked Man!” and “Matt Anderson for President!”

Nathan Paradine: “Next week, the Masked Man will be here on Showdown. Together, we are going to fire the first shot in the war for this company and together we are going to wrestle control away from the Company!”

Paradine’s voice rises in passion as he speaks, rousing the crowd to cheers. He takes a step forward and smiles at the support he is receiving from the crowd. He raises the mic to speak again, however “Real Solution #9” by White Zombie begins to play as Matt Anderson walks out from behind the curtain, escorted by no less than a dozen Company agents. They all walk down the ramp and the agents take position around the ring, while Anderson climbs the steel stairs and steps between the ropes.

Matt Anderson: “Paradine, what the hell do you think you’re doing?”

Paradine stares down Anderson, who returns the glare and refuses to budge. Anderson mouths “Well?” and Paradine raises the mic to speak.

Nathan Paradine: “What do you think? I’m doing what I should’ve done when I came back to the sVo six months ago. I’m taking a stand against-“

Matt Anderson: “Whoa, whoa, whoa. I’m going to have to cut you off there so I can explain a few things. You see, people like you seem to believe in some kind of fantasy land where you can do whatever you want. Don’t forget that it is the Company that provides your weekly paycheck, Nathan.”

Paradine slowly nods, looking slightly uncertain.

Matt Anderson: “Now, people have been getting uppity. Because of that, it’s about time I draw the line somewhere and begin to dish out some discipline, starting with you tonight. I could just fire you, but as much as I hate to admit it you’re a fan favorite. Which is why I’m going to allow you the chance to decide your future.”

Anderson smirks and rubs his beard. The crowd begins to grow restless as they await his announcement.

Matt Anderson: “Next week, either you reveal the identity of the Masked Man to the entire world right here in this ring, or I’m going to fire your ass on the spot. Do you understand?”

Nathan Paradine: “You can’t… this isn’t right…”

Matt Anderson: “I’ve called out your bluff, Nathan. You can talk the talk, but when push comes to shove… what matters to you more? Your job, or your little bromance with the Masked Man?”

Paradine grits his teeth and raises his arm to strike Anderson, however in a flash four Company agents are in the ring, standing protectively in front of Anderson. Paradine lowers his arm and Anderson steps out of the ring as “Real Solution #9” resumes playing. Paradine watches him back up the ram and disappear backstage with an expression of hatred on his face as Showdown comes to an end.
