Last Week on the sVo

At the sVo Battle of Britain 2010 PPV last week in the o2 Arena in London:

* Grimnir defeated Eddie Sinclair in a ladder match to retain his sVo Las Vegas Championship belt…

* Ethan Rider made an early return to the sVo after the injury he sustained at the hands of Tommy Conti nearly a month ago…

* Pat Fullam defeated Weapon X in singles action with a little help from former P:V star Jay Rayez, and unmasked the Company hitman to reveal him as former Hostility and DREAM star John Beck…

* Rey Rosario took advantage of the problems between Company members Bobby Dean & Isaac White to win the triple threat match and claim the sVo International Championship belt…

* John Beck warned Matt Anderson that he answers to a higher power than him in the Company, whilst the Masked Man continued to terrorise the sVo manager…

* Roscoe Shame defeated the longest reigning World Champion in sVo history, after scoring a three count over Night in the main event to become only the fifth man in three years to hold the belt…

Shame Time!

“Drop Tha World” by Lil’ Wayne hits the speakers as the lights go out in the Goodfellas Arena. An array of pyros shoots off from the rampway. A searchlight starts to scan the arena until it rests on the new World Champion standing at the top of the ramp, holding the World Title over his head. The fans start to go in a frenzy over the sight of their new champ. The lights come back on as Roscoe Shame walks slowly towards the ring, clapping hands with as many fans as possible.

He finally makes it to the ring where he is handed a microphone from the ring announcer. Once in the ring, Roscoe stands in the middle, pauses, and then once again holds the title over his head. For the second time in a little as a minute the crowd goes crazy. Shame gives the crowd a few moments to calm down before speaking.

Shame: I come out here tonight to get a few things off of my chest that I have wanted to say for a while now. However, before I do that there is one thing I want to say…. I DID IT!!!!!!

The crowd erupts in cheers.

Shame: It has been a long time coming. Ever since I first stepped foot into the sVo, it has been my goal to reach the top. I will admit, it took a little longer than I expected, but here I am! The match last week was my toughest one to date and I didn’t expect anything less since I was going up against sVo’s longest tenured champion. With that said, I have to give kudos to the man himself. Night is a fantastic wrestler and one of the top talents this company has to offer. It was an honor to be able to pin him and win the title.

The crowd gives a standing ovation to the former World Champ, Night.

Shame: With that out the way it is time to get down to business. For the past couple of months I have kind of sat back and watched some things unfold…some things that I don’t agree with. For those of you who don’t know what I am talking about just think back to last week at Battle of Britain. Matt Anderson and The Company just couldn’t keep their hands out of my match with Night. That’s why I took out Nightmare, and I’m sure as hell glad The Coolness was able to take out the other goons. I knew I could beat Night fair and square and I proved that. For those of you who still haven’t figured it out yet, my problem are with The Company. I am done! The crowd begins to cheer as Roscoe Shame ends his relationship with The Company.

Shame: I will not sit back anymore and watch these fools in suits that none of us know who they are try and dominate this company. The roster in the back doesn’t deserve that, all sVo employees don’t deserve that, and most importantly you the fans don’t deserve that! “You’re the Best” plays over the PA, interrupting Roscoe. Out from the back comes his partner “Beautiful” Bobby Dean with a mic in hand. BBD starts to make his way down to the ring, but is stopped in his tracks by Shame.

Shame: Stop right there Bobby! The last couple of months have seen the two of us grow apart and I cannot and will not take any more of your chidings. It all stops now.

Dean: Don’t get your panties in a wad my friend! Who cares about the past? It’s the past for a reason. Let’s just move on to bigger and better things.

Shame: Sorry my friend, there will be no future for Beautiful Shame. I am done!

Dean: You can’t do that!! You are nothing without me!

Shame: That is where you are wrong Bobby. Yes, you may have beaten me once, but I guarantee you won’t beat me again. Better yet, to prove my point you will be my first title defense for this here World Title draped over my shoulder! Roscoe Shame vs. Bobby Dean at Roll The Dice!

The fans erupt in a roar. A surprised Bobby Dean puts on his trademarked smirk and heads backstage as Roscoe Shame’s music plays and the champ holds his title high in the air.

Pulling A Sickie

Eddie Sinclair is shown sitting backstage outside Matt Anderson’s office, wrapped in bandages and looking very sorry for himself. The office door swings open and Anderson looks down, a frown on his face.

Matt Anderson: “What the hell is this, Sinclair? Why are you covered in bandages like that?”

Eddie Sinclair: “Well, Mr. Anderson, sir, it’s quite a long and boring story that I really don’t want to repeat here. My point is, however, I’m in quite a lot of pain and I don’t think I’m going to be in any condition to compete tonight which is a huge shame. I guess it’ll have to be a handicap match, eh?”

Matt Anderson: “Why wasn’t I notified of your supposed injuries earlier than this? It’s far too late to reschedule the card to work around it…”

Eddie Sinclair: “I know, it’s such a shame. I’m developing a bit of a cough as well, I think I better just go back to my hotel room and have a nap. It was nice speaking to you Mr. Anderson, hopefully I’ll feel a little bit better next week…”

Matt Anderson: “Actually, I think you could go and get ready for your match. There’s a clause in your sVo contract that quite clearly states that in a situation such as this, where you have failed to tell me about your injury, you’ll have to compete anyway. You did read your contract, right?”

Eddie Sinclair: “Um… that was those papers I signed, right?”

Matt Anderson: “Go and get ready, Sinclair. Don’t come back to see me again tonight.”

Anderson marches back into his office and slams the door shut. For a moment there is silence and Sinclair glances around, looking stupid in the bandages. He suddenly breaks into a temper tantrum, ripping the bandages off his body before screaming in frustration and walking off down the hallway as the scene cuts back to the ring.

SINGLE MATCH
Samuel Amos vs. El Locon

“Your Betrayal” by Bullet for my Valentine blares over the PA as Samuel Amos makes his way to the ring.

The fans in the arena begin to cheer as ‘Ugly’ by Mudvayne hits the sound system, and the entrance video of the American wannaba begins to play on the sVo-Tron! After a few seconds El Locon, wearing a straight jacket slowly walks down the entrance ramp escorted by a man wearing a white jacket and a net. The fans cheer as El Locon stares down at the ring, before climbing into the ring. The man escorting El Locon begins to take off his straight jacket, as the entrance music begins to fade out. With the straight jacket removed, El Locon stretches out in the corner of the ring and prepares for the match to get under way.

The referee signals for the bell, and the night’s opening match is underway. El Locon, the more experienced of the two, begins to circle the ring with a smirk of confidence on his face. Amos, on the othis hand, looks more focused than anything. The two of them continue to size each othis up, before locking up in the center of the ring. However, as both competitors move in, El Locon connects with a quick boot to the midsection, and then takes off for the ropes. He bounces off and ducks under a clothesline from Amos. He continues running, and leaps into the air, using the middle rope to propel himself backwards, and connects with an elbow to Samuel’s jaw.

With the new-comer rocked, El Locon continues to utilize his his advantage. He is on his feet in a flash, and unleahes a series of quick kicks to the legs and torso, and then finihes things off with a monkey flip that sees Amos end up on his back in the corner. The fans are firmly behind the most establihed El Locon, and urge him to press the offense. Waiting for Amos to get to his feet, he rushes the corner, but is caught off guard when Amos dives towards his and connects with a clothesline that turns his inside-out.

Amos takes a moment to get to his feet, eying the destructive force of his clothesline. He pulls El Locon to his feet, then hoists his up in the air before dropping his to the mat with a vertical suplex. Samuel uses the momentum to pull both El Locon and himself back to their feet, and swiftly gets in position for a side Russian leg sweep. However, El Locon gets an arm free, and elbows Amos in the jaw. He doesn’t let go immediately, but after a second elbow, he loses his grip and eats an enziguiri. Both Amos and El Locon crumble to the canvas, having both suffered some serious punishment. The referee looks on as the two competitors remain on the mat, eventually leading him to start a ten count.

ONE…

TWO…

THREE…

FOUR…

Amos begins to stir, slowly rising, but not quickly enough to stop the count.

FIVE…

SIX…

SEVEN…

Finally, he reaches a knee, ending the count out. Much to his chagrin, El Locon is also getting up, just making it to all fours. The two begin to trade punches, squeezing out every ounce of energy with each swing. They continue to do so as they both rise to their feet, and finally, it is El Locon who ducks under a wild punch and proceeds to connect with a spinning heel kick. The crowd is on its feet, applauding the effort put forth by both wrestlers, which fires El Locon up. He streaks across the ring, bouncing off the ropes, and nails a beautifully executed spinning head-scissors takedown. Without missing a beat, he slides over and makes a cover.

ONE!

TWO!

Two is all he gets as Amos kicks out. El Locon shows no signs of discouragement, and quickly climbs to his feet. Scrambling up right behind his is Amos, and he grabs his from behind and spins his around. He gives his a serious kick to the midsection and takes off for the far ropes. However, as Samuel comes running back, El Locon counters with a spinning mule kick that stuns the new-comer. He then bounces off the ropes, and leaps up into the air. Going into a kneel-out position, he tries to connect with his finisher, but Amos is able to catch his and push his away, escaping without harm. El Locon lands on his feet, and comes running back in Amos’s direction, but Samuel is ready for his and levels his with his superkick. El Locon’s legs turn to jelly, and his lifeless form collapses to the mat. Amos quickly drops down to the mat in fatigue.

Both men lay on the mat for a few seconds, until Amos is the first to rise, by pulling himself up to a standing position using the ring ropes. The crowd give a mixed reaction to Amos as he stumbles across to El Locon and pulls him up to a standing positon. El Locon looks uneasy on his feet, as he is grabbed by the arm by Amos who whips him hard into the corner of the ring. El Locon hits the turnbuckle back first, and Amos follows up quickly with a clothesline in the corner of the ring. El Locon stumbles out of the corner in pain, and Amos takes the chance to bounce into the ring ropes, and land a Lui Thesz press onto his opponent, before hammering away with big right hands to the face of El Locon!

With El Locon down on the mat and hurting, Amos has plenty of time to rise to his feet and bounce into the ring ropes, before returning with a knee drop to the face of his opponent. Amos then quickly pins down El Locon’s shoulders and makes the cover.

One…

Two…

No!

Just when it looked like this match was all over, El Locon gets a shoulder up before the count of three can be made! The crowd cheer the kickout from El Locon, whilst Amos looks unhappy with the decision. Amos pulls El Locon up to a standing position, before hitting him with some stiff upper cuts to the face as punishment for kicking out! Amos then rises up to his feet and taunts to the crowd! It looks as if Amos is looking to finish this one off with the ‘infAMOS’! Amos stands waiting for El Locon to rise to his feet, and quickly grabs hold of him. However El Locon manages to shake off Amos with some stiff elbows to the side of the face!

Amos stumbles away from El Locon holding his face, before turning and running at him! However El Locon sees the move coming, and counters with a big fallaway slam on Amos! The crowd now begin to get behind El Locon, as he rises to his feet and raises his hands in the air! Amos slowly begins to climb up, and as he does El Locon bounces into the ring ropes to give himself extra speed, before taking down Amos with the ‘Loco from Hell’! The crowd cheer the massive move from El Locon that nearly takes Amos’ head clean off, as he makes the cover on his opponent!

One…

Two…

Three!

This one is all over, and despite the impressive performance from Amos, it’s El Locon the sVo veteran that picks up the three count to follow up his victory over DVD at the Battle of Britain 2010 PPV last week in London with another win. El Locon raises his hands in the air in victory, as sVo Showdown heads backstage to the locker room of The Teacher.

RESULT: El Locon def. Samuel Amos via pinfall

The Deal Pt.1

In the back halls of the arena Pat Fullham and “Beautiful” Bobby Dean stand, eyeing each other, sizing one another up, as if it were an old fashion Mexican standoff. Never mind the fact that neither men are Mexican, these two are ready to do battle later this evening. With the tag title strap slung over his shoulder Pat Fullham is bursting with confidence as Bobby Dean stands there pale faced, sweaty, and a little more lean looking than normal.

Bobby Dean – So do we have a deal?

Pat Fulham smiles, mulling it over for an extra minute before nodding his head.

Pat Fullam – Yea, we got a deal.

With Pat Fullam and Bobby Dean on opposite sides of the war between the Company and the rest of the sVo, and facing each other later tonight, just what is this deal all about?

A Willing Pupil

The camera cuts backstage, where The Teacher is sitting in his locker room, pysching himself up for his match. He has his mask in his hands, but he hurriedly pulls it over his face as the door swings open, the shadow of Ethan Rider casting it’s way across the room.

The Teacher: What do you want, Rider?

Rider smiles, extending a hand for Teacher to shake.

Rider: I have a proposal for you, Teacher… Another pupil for you to Teach…

The Teacher: Who?

Rider: Me.

Teacher goes silent as Rider extends the proposition of a tag team. He sighs, looking Rider straight in the eye.

The Teacher: Why?

Rider: Why not? Why not teach a willing pupil for once? I need an ally, Teach, with so much shit on my tail, and it looks like you could use a classroom assistant.

Teacher raises his eyebrows, taking a few steps forward.

The Teacher: I need to prepare for my match.

The Teacher leaves, leaving Rider standing in the room alone, and, although completely calm, a look of grim determination on his face.

The Cooper-ates

BOOM DO YOU HEAR IT!!!

BOOM DO YOU NEED IT!!!

BOOM DO YOU FEEL IT!!!

LADIES AND GENTLEMAN!!!

After waiting a few seconds, Colt Cooper appears on the ramp with his normal cocky smile. He positions both of his arms out, tapping his chest taunting the crowd. A spectrum of black and blue strobe lights fill up the arena followed by a down pour of confetti. Colt struts his way to the ring extending his hands to some of his fans, and gives the middle finger to the fans of SVO who don’t like him

Colt:: I assume that you all want to know why I’m out here. Well, it shouldn’t really be that hard to think of. But tonight is a very important night for myself. I could guarantee myself a shot at the second most prestigious title in the SvO. Just thinking of the ones who held it, and our reigning holder of it Rey Rosario just sickens me.

There’s a loud eruption of Boos, and some cheers.

Colt:: Casually I would recommend that I get Rosario now, but it’s not like I never had him. Early in my still young career I made light work of the battered Rosario. Strangled his ass, and threw him away collecting another victory.

Colt:: Before I grace Rosario again I have to pulverize Nightmare. This guy is like the guy every rookie would hope to wrestle on their first night. Someone they know they’re going to beat. In fact make an example, but then I think about. An example wouldn’t really be made.

Colt:: To all of you Cooperates out there. Are you ready to embark along with me?

Alot of Cooper chants erupt in the arena.

Colt:: Nightmare, are you ready to embark with me?

There is a slightly pause.

Colt:: Rey Rosario, are you ready to get something took from you?

Colt drops the mic and Ladies and Gentleman by Saliva begins to play throughout the arena. Showdown goes on a quick commercial break.

The Company Giveth, the Company Taketh Away

Showdown returns from the commercial break to find sVo manager Matt Anderson flanked by two Company agents in matching suits making his way through the corridors of the backstage area of the arena. Anderson looks unusually stressed out as he makes his way through the corridors, appearing to be looking for something or someone. Anderson finally finds it, in the former of John Beck by the drinks machine. Beck looks casual as he leans against the machine, as if he knew Anderson would be looking for him.

John Beck: “I see you brought two agents with you. Scared of talking to me alone Anderson?”

The sVo manager wipes the sweat away from his forehead and loosens his tie as he looks at the man known as Weapon X, thinking what to say.

Matt Andeson: “Look. I know we didn’t exactly get off on the right foot the other week. But I need to know….”

Anderson looks at John Beck, who seems to know what the question will be, but is prepared to act stupid so that Anderson has to actually ask it.

Matt Anderson: “What do you mean when you said you answer to people higher than me in the Company?”

The two Company agents give each other a sideways glance, before turning back to focus on Beck, who looks to be enjoying the situation. The Brit rubs the stubble on his face as if he is thinking about how to phrase the answer.

John Beck: “I meant what I said. I answer to people a lot higher in the Company that you. I know you like to run around here like you are the man in charge of the Company, and these poor people don’t know any difference. But we know different don’t we Matt. Just remember you have only been in the Company for the last ten years or so…. your a newcomer.”

Anderson looks as if he is about to boil over with rage as he stares back at Beck through his trademark shades.

Matt Anderson: “Look Beck, I’m asking you nicely. Who exactly do you work for in the Company?”

The former special forces solider stares back at Anderson with a smirk on his face.

John Beck: “You know I can’t answer that Anderson. You know how this thing works. Just remember, they are always watching….” Anderson finally snaps as he steps forward towards Beck. The two Company agents don’t know quite what to do as Beck stares down Matt Anderson who is only inches away from him.

Matt Anderson: “Listen you piece of shit. You owe me. I am still trying to fix your screw up from losing to Pat Fullam last week. You were supposed to take him OUT! I don’t know exactly what side you are on, but just remember something Beck, I own you.”

Anderson suddenly seems to remember who he is talking to, as he takes a few steps back behind the Company agents, but Beck doesn’t rise to the bait.

John Beck: “You own nothing Anderson. You were put in this position, and you can be taken out of it.”

Matt Anderson: “Let’s see what the Company think of you when you keep embarrass them by losing week after week! Least you forget, you had to sign a superstar contract to compete in the ring the two times against Fullam, and if I want I can book you against who ever I feel like next week!”

Beck shrugs his shoulders before beginning to walk away.

John Beck: “Let’s just see what our bosses think of you when you have no one left to compete on your shows.”

Matt Anderson watches John Beck leave the area with a look of hatred in his eyes directed at the back of the Englishman’s head. Anderson then turns and takes his frustration out on the two Company agents.

Matt Anderson: “I hate that motherfucker. I want you two to stand guard outside my office tonight, I don’t want to be disturbed by anyone. Everything has to go smoothly tonight.”

The two Company agents nod their heads.

Matt Anderson: “And have you guys found out who that god damn Masked Man is yet?”

The two Company agents shake their heads in unison.

Matt Anderson: “WHAT THE FUCK AM I PAYING YOU FOR? GET ON WITH IT!”

War

The scene fades in the sVo interview area where we see Candi Cross standing by with Xtreme Fusion.

Candi: Xtreme Fusion, tonight on Showdown you have a big test as you face two impressive newcomers in Ethan Rider & Eddie Sinclair, what are your thoughts?

Limp: Well Candi, this two guys have been pretty impressive thus far but they have never teamed up before to my knowledge. What that means is that tonight they have the deck stacked against them because Xtreme Fusion is coming tonight to teach this two punks a lesson in respect.

Candi: DVD, I wanted to ask you, how do you feel about burning Juliana Torres face last week?

DVD: It felt great. When Limp told me that there was no better feeling in the world than beating up a woman I didn’t believe him but now I’m a believer but Juliana since I heard you’re not a hundred percent and won’t fight me one on one I have something better for you. For a long time everyone has asked which faction is better, Xtreme Fusion or The Corporation, well the answer will be revealed next week because I will team up with Limp and Asesino and our opponents will be DJ, Raven and you, Juliana Torres if you dare to show your ugly face that is and it will be a six person elimination match. See ya, next week, darling.

DVD smiles as Candi looks disgusted and the scene fades to ringside.

Smells Like Team Spirit

Eddie Sinclair is once again shown standing backstage, this time in conversation with Katie Smith who appears to be trying to find a way to escape the conversation. Sinclair leans forward, a roguish smile on his face.

Eddie Sinclair: “-and that’s why I was covered in bandages. It’s a pretty serious injury, Katie. Potentially career ending if I compete. Which is why it is up to you to let the whole world know the truth in your next Smith Report.”

Katie Smith: “Um, yeah, sure… I’ll see what I can do.”

Eddie Sinclair: “And what’s more, you should alert the public to how dangerous Ethan Rider is. Can you actually believe that he was allowed on this tour after he murdered a man!? I’m actually scared to be getting into the ring with him, even though he’s my partner. What if he goes crazy and attacks me? I’m scared, Katie. I’m very scared!”

Katie Smith: “Oh, that’s… interesting.”

Eddie Sinclair: “I know, right!? Look at me, I’m Ethan Rider! I’m big, dumb and I know martial arts! Hiyah!”

Sinclair mimes a karate-chop, however Katie’s eyes drift over his shoulder. Sinclair notices this and he slowly turns around, finding himself face to face with Ethan Rider. Katie takes the opportunity to duck away and Sinclair gulps.

Eddie Sinclair: “Oh, hi Ethan!”

Ethan Rider: “Ready for our match, partner?”

Rider slaps him on the back and Sinclair visibly startles. He quickly nods and they both start walking in the direction of the ring.

TAG TEAM MATCH
Eddie Sinclair & Ethan Rider vs. DVD & Limp

Headstrong by Trapt plays as the tag team of DVD & Limp comes out staring at their surroundings. They then slowly walks to the ring with an intense look on their faces.

The lights dim out quickly and suddenly, and the cacophony of chatter from the audience falls to silence. The opening bars of ‘Forsaken’ by Skillet hits out over the PA System and a single jet of Golden pyro erupts from the stage, the light from it illuminating a lone, solitary, dark figure.

Ethan Rider is dressed in a long trench coat and his usual ring trunks, black with a tint of metallic silver. ‘Rider’ is written in gold lettering on the cuffs of the coat and the right leg of the trunks.

Ethan gives a small smirk and straightens up, the lights slightly returning so he is visible.

He walks to the ring, only slightly acknowledging the audience with the occasional nod. When he reaches the ringside area, he stands still, staring at the ring as two officials come forward and carefully remove the coat, producing a series of wolf-whistles from the females as he exposes his well defined, ‘Sexy’ abdomen and pectoral.

He bounces on the spot a bit, warming up for the match, before sliding into the ring, just after a single flash of golden pyro shoots just millimetres over his shoulder. Bouncing off the ropes and raising two fingers up in front of him, giving another small smirk as the lights return.

“Judith” by A Perfect Circle blasts over the sound system as images of Eddie Sinclair in action are shown on the sVo-Tron. A series of pyrotechnics blast on the stage as Sinclair himself appears, dressed in his ring gear and a leather jacket. He strides down to the ring, pausing at the bottom of the ramp to glance from left to right. The camera follows the turn of his head, revealing his wide smirk and snicker before he climbs inside the ring. He shrugs off his jacket and tosses it to the outside of the ring before backing away into the corner to await the start of the match.

The referee calls for the bell to ring and the match to get underway. Ethan Rider sinks to his knees, and Limp begins to pound away on his opponent with some big stomps, before slowly walking across and making the tag out to DVD. DVD quickly jumps into the ring, and Limp helps his tag team partner take down Ethan Rider with a double team suplex in the middle of the ring, before being ordered out by the referee.

The Deal Pt.2

The sVo Showdown cameras head backstage with roving reporter Katie Smith in search of the current sVo Tag Team Champion Pat Fullam, who will tonight take on World Title #1 contender Bobby Dean in the main event. Katie Smith politely knocks on the locker room door of Fullam, and waits for a response from the giant before entering. Pat Fullam doesn’t look best pleased to see the cameras, as he warms up for his match against Dean later tonight.

Katie Smith: “Pat, the sVo fans all saw earlier that you made a deal with Bobby Dean earlier in the night. Do you think you can trust him?”

‘The Coolness’ looks Katie Smith over carefully before rising to his feet. He towers over the pretty sVo interviewer and the cameraman struggles to get them both in the same shot.

Pat Fullam: “This deal could have massive consequences for the history of the sVo. I have been fighting a hard war against the Company for the last few months with only my tag team partner Night for backup. It’s time to end things for once and for all.”

‘The Coolness’ starts down at Katie Smith, impatiently waiting for her to ask another question and get out of his way.

Katie Smith: “Well many fans will be wondering what kind of a deal could end this brutal war tonight?”

Pat Fullam: “Well rest assured they will all see what happens later tonight, either one way or the other. Now if you don’t mind I have an important match to prepare for.”

‘The Coolness’ uses his massive hands to gently push Katie Smith and her camera crew out of his locker room to end the interview.

Mrs. Von Drake

The camera cuts to the back of the arena in front of the locker room of JVD. After a few moments of waiting and the sounds of things being torn apart in a loud ruckus, the door opens and out pops the head of our beloved insane masked hero, Grimnir. He looks back and forth a few times to make sure that the coast is clear and holds up a lock of blonde hair, clearly that of Mrs. Von Drake.

Grimnir takes a moment and smells it quickly, groaning in ecstasy as the scent of her shampoo pleases him to no end. He looks back into the locker room and thanks whoever is in there, then giggles like a girl and scampers out of the locker room and down the hall. The outline of a dark and mysterious figure slams the door behind him with a peel of laughter.

sVo INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP #1 CONTENDERSHIP MATCH
Nightmare vs. Colt Cooper

“Ladies and Gentlemen” by Saliva hits the sound system and there are boos all around for Colt Cooper as his entrance video hits the sVo-Tron. After waiting a few seconds, Colt Cooper appears on the ramp with his normal cocky smile. He positions both of his arms out, tapping his chest taunting the crowd. A spectrum of black and blue strobe lights fill up the arena followed by a down pour of confetti. Colt struts his way to the ring extending his hands to some of his fans, and gives the middle finger to the fans of sVo who don’t like him.

The arena lights fade and a red light begins to slowly strobe as “March of the Pigs” by Nine Inch Nails pounds through the arena over the PA system. The crowd burst into a loud chorus of boos as The Company logo floats onto the sVo tron, quickly replaced by a name.

“N I G H T M A R E”

The curtains part and a man in red trunks with a black streak down the side and a black mask cut away at the top to reveal a freshly shaved head of hair. He half-grins/half-sneers at the jeering audience surrounding him and wastes little time in stalking down the entrance ramp before quickly sliding under the bottom rope and into the ring. He stands, jawing off at various members of the crowd as he awaits the start of the match.

The referee signals for the bell with Cooper and Nightmare circling the ring opposite each other. Both men are waiting for the other to make the first move and it is Cooper who eventually moves for Nightmare. Cooper and Paradine lock up in the center of the ring with a collar and elbow tie up, but with neither gaining any significant advantage the two release the lock and begin circling once more.

The two lock up once more with Nightmare quickly irish whipping Cooper into the far ropes. As Cooper rebounds off the ropes Nightmare nails a gut-wrenching sidewalk slam, sending Cooper down onto the mat. Cooper rolls to his feet quickly recovering as Nightmare ducks out of the ring, taking advantage of the stipulation to pull a steel chair out from underneath the ring. He climbs back into the ring and swings at Cooper, however Cooper ducks and swings around with a kick to the back of Nightmare’s head. Nightmare drops the chair and staggers forwards, only to swing back around with a discus elbow to Cooper’s head, following up with a savage kick to Cooper’s midsection.

With Cooper doubled over Nightmare steps forward and delivers a DDT driving Cooper’s head directly into the steel chair! Cooper bounces off the chair and remains motionless on the mat and Nightmare drops down to his knees, hooking the leg!

ONE!

TWO!

KICKOUT!

Cooper barely manages to get his shoulder up in time. Nightmare pounds his hand on the mat, knowing exactly what is at stake in this match! He pulls Cooper to his feet, however the young star drives his fist into Nightmare’s stomach. Nightmare staggers backwards and Cooper follows up with a clothesline! Cooper then runs towards the ropes and rebounds, rolling along the mat and attempting to hit a Rolling Thunder, however Nightmare rolls out of the way. Nightmare seizes the chair and throws it at Cooper, who catches it as he climbs to his feet then Nightmare dropkicks the chair right into Cooper’s face!

Cooper falls down and Nightmare ducks out of the ring again, looking underneath the ring for another weapon; he pulls out an odd assortment of items, including a brick-style cell phone, a mop, a larsh plush Psyko Stevo doll and a Playstation console. He eventually pulls out a table and slides it into the ring, in addition to another chair and a bottle of mysterious liquid. He also pulls out a length of barbed wire, which he wraps around his arm as he climbs back into the ring.

Cooper is back on his feet down and he runs at Nightmare, however the brother of Night throws up his arm and rakes it across Cooper’s face. Cooper exclaims in pain and clutches his face, blood leaking between his fingers. Nightmare grabs the bottle and tips some of the liquid into his mouth, before fumbling something out of his tights.

As Cooper lowers his arms Nightmare raises his hand and spits and a huge ball of flame erupts, engulfing Cooper’s face. He falls to the mat writhing in pain and Nightmare takes the time to set the table up near the corner as Cooper struggles to climb to his feet.

Nightmare walks over to his opponent and grabs him by the hair. Cooper attempts to fight back, but as Nightmare sets up Colt Cooper for a high impact move, there is suddenly a huge pop from the crowd as A whisper…

“I’m dreaming…”

The distant chords of Deftones’ “Knife Party” cut through the PA as the arena lights cut completely. The Tron sparks to life as the words “I’m dreaming…” float onto it. As the song errupts the words are replaced by one.

A name.

” N I G H T “

An explosion of purple light as a man in a black mask appears. At least, the mask appears black at first, but on closer inspection it appears to be made of the night sky. The mask does not entirely cover the man’s head and a head of black dreadlocks stream out, tracing the man’s jaw.

The man stands at the top of the entrance ramp – motionless for a moment, his stance elegant and mysterious, giving away nothing of his motives. As the music swirls away, the man only known as Night begins his walk to the ring – only, he doesn’t walk, it appears more of a graceful glide. Although he moves seemlessly, he moves deceptively quickly to the ring, sliding deliberately and headfirst into the ring.

The crowd cheer as Night makes his way quickly towards his brother, and takes him down with a spear takedown! The referee is powerless to do anything under the No DQ rules as Night lays into Nightmare with stiff punches to his brothers face, before Nightmare struggles back up to his feet. Nightmare runs at the former World Champion and tries to nail a clothesline, however Night ducks under the arm of his brother, before turning to hit ‘The Dreaming’ on Nightmare! With Nightmare down on the mat, the fans continue to cheer the former World Champion, as he rolls out of the ring and slowly makes his way back up the entrance ramp to the backstage area!

Nightmare remains motionless on the mat and Cooper rises to his feet and grabs the second steel chair, setting it up close to the ropes. He runs at the ropes, rebounds, connects with the opposite ropes and rebounds again before jumping onto the chair and executing a perfect Shooting Star Press, slamming down onto Nightmare! Cooper hooks the leg!

ONE!

TWO!

THREE!

Cooper pins Nightmare! Cooper wins! Cooper rolls away and jumps to his feet, his arms raised into the air. The referee orders the timekeeper to ring the bell as Cooper is officially declared the victor.

RESULT: Colt Cooper def. Nightmare via pinfall

The Deal Pt.3

Backstage in the office of the sVo manager, a stressed looking Matt Anderson is sitting behind his large desk, in his comfortable leather recliner. Anderson’s tie is loosened around his neck, and he constantly wipes the sweat away from his forehead, a far cry from the usual smart and calm Company man that were are used to seeing. Anderson looks straight ahead as he talks into the phone that is pressed to his ear.

Matt Anderson: “Yeah apparently he went for the deal, I knew he would…. Yeah I am confident that he will get the job done…. That’s one problem out of the way, Nightmare will take care of the other and then all we got left after that is that god damn Masked Man that is running around here…. Don’t worry, I have something up my sleeve for him….”

The scene fades away as Anderson continues the phone call, with two Company agents guarding the outside door to make no one can interrupt the boss.

I’m Done

The scene cuts backstage where we see the World Champion Roscoe Shame sitting in his locker room polishing his belt. He is interrupted by the entrance of his agent Jeremiah Sloan.

“What in the hell were you thinking?” a disturbed Sloan asks his client.

“What are you talking about Jay?” an innocent looking Shame asks.

“You rid yourself of The Company and then tell Bobby that you are done with him too! WHat is the problem?”

Shame doesn’t immediately answer which ticks off his agent. Instead he goes back to polishing the title.

“Damnit Roscoe! Answer me!” Sloan demands.

“Like I said out there at the beginning of the show, I don’t like the way The Company operates anymore. I just don’t agree with it. And as far as Dean goes……..I’m fed up with his bullshit every week! I can’t take it anymore! I should have left him a long time ago, but somehow you coaxed me into staying, but no more.”

A speechless Jeremiah hovers over his client trying to think of what to say. With nothing coming to mind he turns around and storms out of the room. Roscoe smiles to himself as he goes back to polishing his newly won World Title.

A Reason to Fight

Tamara Boyd is seen backstage catching up to a masked Zarathustra.

Tamara Boyd: Zarathustra! Zarathustra! Can I get a word with you?

Zarathustra turns around and regards the young interviewer.

Tamara Boyd: Zarathustra, why did you attack Grimnir and JVD?

Zarathustra cocks his head.

Zarathustra: Is it obvious?

A puzzled look crosses Boyd’s face.

Tamara Boyd: No …

Zarathustra: Don’t you see? In order to evolve, there must be strife as impetus to grow. Without a challenge Grimnir and James Von Drake are doomed to wallow in mediocrity. I have given them the chance to be shown the Way to the Will to Power. Now it’s up to them to grasp it. Thus spake Zarathustra.

With that, Zarathustra turns away, leaving Tamara Boyd blinking in confusion.

A Reason to Fight

The crowd is still abuzz before a whisper screams over the PA system, drawing a huge cheer from the already raucous crowd.

“I’m Dreaming…”

The opening chords of ‘Knife Party’ by Deftones blares over the PA system as the arena lights go out leaving a purple strobing spotlight illuminating the entrance ramp. The curtains part and the now former sVo World Champion Night steps through the curtain – still dressed in his ring attire from earlier. Beside Night is his manager/mentor Akira Kimura. The two men stand atop the entrance ramp for a moment before making their way down towards the ring. Once there, Night quickly slides under the bottom rope as Kimura climbs the stairs and steps between the ropes. Night calls for a mic from the ring attendant and he and Akira are quickly handed one each.

The arena lights return to normal as the song fades away, the Russian crowd still deafening for the masked Japanese wrestler. Night grins and raises a hand asking for quiet and, slowly but surely, there is quiet.

Night: “I knew this day would come. In a way I dreaded it, in a way, I welcomed it. It became part of my destiny the day I won the sVo World Heavyweight Championship. It is a part of every champion’s journey to eventually be topped and have to hand the belt on to another. To pass the reigns on and no longer be the ‘top dog’ – and be left to stand here in front of you, the fans and stand strong despite your loss. No excuses – on the night, Roscoe Shame was the better man and in the end, Ryuu’s involvement or not, he managed to put me down and keep me down for the three count. When it counted the most, he got the job done and now he’s the champion.

But don’t misunderstand me – I am far from done and I will always be the ‘top dog’ in sVo.”

The crowd pops as Master Kimura laughs heartily.

Night: “Like any champion I am of course entitled to a rematch and, failing that… this is the sVo and whether The Company likes me or not… money talks. Under normal circumstances I would be in their offices as we speak either demanding my rematch this week – or lining their pockets to get back what’s mine.”

He clenches his jaw, his face stiffening.

Night: “But as I’m sure the entire sVo universe knows by now, I am faced with far from normal circumstances. Time and again my own brother, Ryuu… ‘Nightmare’…

Night almost spits the name ‘Nightmare’ from his mouth as if it bears a bad taste.

Night: “… as he calls himself now, has tried to take from me what I have devoted the last two years of my life to attaining. In April this year, I realized my dream of becoming the sVo World Champion and somehow my older brother decides that this upsets the ‘status quo’ and set himself of taking the belt from me.”

The masked man stares hard up the entrance ramp.

Night: “He failed.”

A big crowd pop.

Night: “But you finally did it, didn’t you Nightmare? Of course, you’re not the champion – but neither am I so all’s well, right? You couldn’t beat me so you tried to make me a loser too?”

He pauses, still staring at the entrance ramp, waiting. Still nothing. He checks around the four sides of the ring – nothing.

Night: “Cue Nightmare…”

No movement – nothing.

Night: “Oh come on, Ryuu – this is ridiculous. I can’t get rid of you the last few months and now I want to talk and you’re nowhere to be seen?”

Nightmare: “You’re right, Akumu – this is ridiculous.”

The crowd boo loudly as the sneering Nightmare steps from behind the curtain, still in his ring attire from his earlier match and microphone in hand.

Nightmare: “Well done, Night. Are you satisfied now? You think you’ve evened things out now, huh? Is THAT what you think you achieved tonight?”

Night smiles grimly at his brother.

Night: “Doesn’t feel so good getting stabbed in the back by your brother, does it?”

Nightmare: “You are just digging yourself further and further into the hole you’re already in, brother.”

The younger Miyamoto smiles and laughs at the fuming man in red.

Night: “Oh, our match at Roll the Dice? The japanese barbed-wire rope, glass match? I still can’t figure out what the hell you were thinking demanding that. You were never into the whole deathmatch type thing – remember? I seem to recall being sat down by my older brother after my first ventures into hardcore wrestling in Japan.

He wags his finger as he admonishes his imaginary younger self and speaks in a clearly mocking lower authoritative tone.

Night: “‘Akumu, you’ll never be seen as a respected and honorable professional in those trash matches – you should spend more time working grappling technique and submissions… blah blah blah – and NOW you want this match with me… and I’m supposed to be scared… why?”

Clearly on the verge of losing his normally psychotically calm demeanor, Nightmare shakes as he replies, his face almost visible turning red through the mask.

Nightmare: “You really think you have this thing in the bag, don’t you?”

He stares questioningly at his younger brother who shrugs and nods his head challengingly in response.

Nightmare: “This is what I’m talking about Akumu. You and that old fossil you insist on dragging around with you got so far up your own asses that you couldn’t see how arrogant you both were – you were already an infuriating little space-cadet, Akumu – add your deluded feelings of immortality to the mix and you had to be taken down a few notches.”

Night stares in confusion at his brother.

Night: “You really believe that, don’t you? It bothered you that much to see me being more successful than you that you convinced yourself that I had changed.”

Nightmare: “You didn’t change – you were always an egotistical, self-serving, dreaming hippy-fuck. It was just less tolerable because you thought it was justified – and this is why I’ve chosen this match. I knew you’d think it was yours to win – your ‘pride’ as some call it and ‘arrogance’ as I call it would inevitably lead you to believe you would be a shoe-in – and that’s what’ll make my victory at Roll the Dice all the sweeter.”

The two brothers stare intently at each other.

Nightmare: “What I want you to remember is that you will ALWAYS be my younger brother and I will always be willing and able to kick your whiny little ass all over the arena if that’ll shut you up.”

Night: “And what I want you to remember is that what you did to me – your repeated actions in trying to and finally successfully taking my title from me – the betrayal… the dishonor. These things are burned far deeper on me than your pathetic bruised ego and when we meet – in a match that DOES favor me – these things are what will drive me to remove you from sVo permanently.”

Nightmare: “We’ll see about that.”

Night: “Why wait till Roll the Dice? Why don’t you come down that ramp and step in this ring with me right now?”

The older Miyamoto brother glares down the ramp, unmoving. Finally he takes a determined step towards the ring before silently smiling and turning back towards the curtains.

Night: “What’s this? Suddenly don’t want to fight? I wonder what’s different now.”

Night mockingly runs his fingers over his chin as he stares up into the rafters.

Night: “Now – this is just a theory so stop me if I’m way off – but could it be that now that I no longer hold the sVo World Championship, that The Company are just no longer concerned with me? And no Company support means no goons to back you up… and no goons to back you up means you want to tuck tail and run?”

The older brother clenches his jaw and looks around at the jeering Russian crowd around him before looking back down the ramp at the two men in the ring. He cranks his neck before charging down the ring and sliding into the ring similarly to his brother. He immediately throws a lunging lariat but is ducked by the man in purple. A wild haymaker similarly fails to find its mark – however a swift boot to the groin is enough to draw a huge chorus of boos from the crowd and double the former champion over in the process. He sneers as he locks in the Nightmare Sleeper, the crowd audibly voicing their disapproval.

Night rocks back and forth, finally getting some momentum and managing to roll himself and his brother towards the ropes. Once there he climbs them with his feet, managing to flip over – seemingly setting up for a sleeper of his own but instead fighting Nightmare up onto his shoulders as the crowd pop in anticipation of ‘The Dreaming’.

A collective groan of disappointment rises from the audience as Nightmare somehow manages to escape Night’s grasp and quickly slides out of the ring and backing up the entrance ramp, never taking his eyes off the two men in the ring.

The World Tour Continues in Giza, Egypt.
10th October 2010

SINGLE MATCH
Pat Fullam vs. Bobby Dean

“You’re the Best” begins to play as the lights go down and a baby blue spotlight is shown at the top of the entrance ramp. BBD comes out to a chorus of boos in his baby blue Ric Flair-esque robe that is covered in sparkling diamonds. He struts his way down the entrance ramp refusing to touch the out stretched hands of fans at ringside. Walking up the steel steps, he wipes his feet off before stepping into the ring. Walking over to his corner he proceeds to remove his robe and warm up for the upcoming match.

The arena goes black and the tron flickers on. In icy blue writing the words,

Lo as I walk through the valley of shadow and death
I fear no evil…
For I am the biggest and baddest guy around.

“Rebirth of Slick (Cool Like Dat)” by Digable Planets starts to play over the sound system. The writing on the tron fades away as blue sparks flare out on the stage. As the sparks die down the one and only “The Coolness” Pat Fullam comes out on stage. The tron flickers to life once again with clips of all of the 7’2″ giant’s time in the ring throughout the various federations he’s been in.

He tosses up the metal head salute as he begins to walk down to the ring to the beat of “Rebirth of Slick.” Making it to the ring he reaches up and grabs the top rope, pulling himself up onto the apron and stepping over the top rope. He swaggers to the center of the ring with his sVo Tag Team Championship belt, and tosses his hair back before giving one final metal head salute as the music fades.

Bobby Dean stares across the ring at the 7’2″ giant Pat Fullam as the referee holds up Fullam’s Tag Team Championship belt in the air before he calls for the bell to be rung and this massive sVo Showdown main event to get underway! BBD doesn’t look too happy at the prospect at having to go against the giant, as Fullam dives forward to try and catch hold of the former International & Las Vegas Champion, only for BBD to dodge out of his way. Fullam turns and once again tries to grab hold of Bobby Dean, however this time BBD dodges out of the way and turns to catch ‘the Coolness’ with some big right hands as he turns around.

Pat Fullam staggers backwards under the force of the big punches from Bobby Dean, however he is unable to knock the giant down to the mat. The crowd boo the attack from Dean, as he bounces back against the ring ropes before running at Fullam again. However this time Fullam is able to scoop up the oncoming Bobby Dean and slam him back down to the mat with a stiff side slam. The crowd cheer the move from the big man, who slowly rises to his feet and struts around the ring shaking off the cobwebs from the big punches from Dean.

Bobby Dean slowly rises back up to a standing position, however Pat Fullam is there waiting for him, and he grabs hold of his opponent with both hands, before tossing him into the nearest corner of the ring. With Bobby Dean pushed back against the turnbuckle, Pat Fullam lays into him with some massive punches to the midsection in the corner of the ring, before finally allowing Bobby Dean out. Bobby Dean stumbles forward holding his ribs in pain, but walks straight into a military press slam from the dominating Pat Fullam!

There are boos all around from the crowd as Bobby Dean rolls out of the ring under the bottom rope to get away from the giant, and walks slowly around the ring trying to recover from the big offence from Fullam and get himself back into the match. Bobby Dean takes no notice of the referee asking him to get back into the ring, and tired of waiting, Pat Fullam soon joins him on the outside of the ring by stepping over the top rope and jumping down to the floor! Pat Fullam quickly makes his way after Bobby Dean, but as he runs at him looking for a clothesline, BBD cleverly takes down the giant with a drop toe hold, which causes Fullam to drop head first onto the steel steps!

Despite Pat Fullam’s massive size, Bobby Dean is able to take him down onto the hard floor with a huricanrana!

The fans boo despite the impressive move from Bobby Dean, who cockily rises up to his feet, before staring an argument with one of the near by fans! Bobby Dean flips the fan off getting even more boos from the fans, before the #1 contender for the World Title grabs Fullam up, and throws him across the announcers table! The fans rise to their feet for a better look of the action as Nick Harris and Simon Austin run for cover, as Bobby Dean climbs up onto the announcers table along with Pat Fullam!

Pat Fullam slowly begins to rise up to his feet, but as he does Bobby Dean wastes no time in grabbing his head and forcing the giant into position for a piledriver! Flashbulbs go off around the arena as the fans watch waiting to see Pat Fullam go through the table, only for Fullam to reverse the move in a back drop at the last minute! The look on Bobby Dean’s face is priceless as he is thrown through the air, before crashing through the Spanish announcers table nearby! The move is replayed on the sVo-Tron for the fans to watch again and again as Pat Fullam staggers up to a standing position, and slowly makes his way over to the wreckage of the table.

Fullam grabs hold of Bobby Dean, and pulls him out of the wreckage before dragging him over to the ring. The fans cheer as the bloodied Pat Fullam rolls Bobby Dean into the ring, before rolling in himself. Pat Fullam pulls himself up to his feet using the ring ropes, before choking out Bobby Dean with his boot as he lays on the mat. The referee repeatedly asks Fullam to release the choke hold, but he keeps it locked in for a few more seconds, before using one of his massive hands to haul Bobby Dean up to his feet. Bobby Dean looks unsteady on his feet until he is hit with a big head butt from Fullam which sends him into the ropes. Bobby Dean bounces out of the ropes and is drilled to the mat with a big spinebuster from ‘the Coolness’ who quickly makes the cover.

The fans cheer as Fullam holds the sVo branded padding in the air, before tossing it into the crowd. With the steel ring post exposed, Pat Fullam makes his way over to Bobby Dean, and easily picks him up.
