Watching TV

The camera focuses on the backstage area, where Elena Cruz is holding a microphone and excitedly looking into the camera. Next to her stands Teddy Rush, a street-smart wrestler known for his attitude and gritty persona.

Elena Cruz: Hey there, P:V fans! It’s your favorite backstage diva, Elena Cruz, and I’m here with none other than the tough-as-nails Teddy Rush! Teddy, how’s it going tonight?

Teddy Rush: [Smirks] It’s going, Elena. Just another day in the wild world of wrestling.

Elena Cruz: Teddy, you’re known for your streetwise attitude and fearless approach in the ring. But tonight, I want to know—what are your plans for the future here in P:V?

Teddy Rush: Well, Elena, I’ve been grinding in these streets for a while now, and I’ve got my eyes set on something big. You see that TV Championship over Bjorn Asulf’s shoulder? Yeah, that’s what I’m aiming for.

Elena Cruz: The TV Championship, huh? Bjorn Asulf is no pushover. What makes you think you’ve got what it takes to dethrone him?

Teddy Rush: [Grinning] Elena, I’ve been through the grind, I’ve fought my way up from the bottom. I ain’t afraid of a challenge. Bjorn might be holding that title, but I’m hungry, and hunger drives me to do things people only dream of.

Elena Cruz: Well, Teddy, speaking of dreams, you know I’m all about the glam life and being in the spotlight. How do you plan on staying relevant and stealing the show?

Teddy Rush: Elena, let me make something clear. I ain’t here for the spotlight or to be the next viral sensation. I’m here to prove that grit and determination beat flash and fame any day. If folks want a show, I’ll give ’em a show in that ring, no doubt. But I ain’t gonna change who I am just for the likes.

Elena Cruz: Bold words, Teddy. But in a world where social media rules, don’t you think you’ll need a bit of that spotlight to get ahead?

Teddy Rush: Look, Elena, I ain’t got no problem with folks who chase that spotlight. But I’ve survived the streets, I’ve seen real struggles. I don’t need a camera to tell me who I am. Winning matches, taking names—that’s how I’m gonna make my mark.

Elena Cruz: Well, Teddy, it sounds like you’ve got your path laid out. Best of luck in your pursuit of the TV Championship, and hey, if you ever need some social media tips, you know where to find me!

Teddy Rush: [Smirking] Thanks, Elena. But I’ll stick to doing things my way. Time to show Bjorn and everyone else what I’m made of.

Teddy walks away as Elena watches him with a mix of intrigue and curiosity. The camera fades out, leaving the anticipation of Teddy Rush’s future plans.

Not Over

The camera fades into a dimly lit corridor backstage at the Goodfellas Casino Arena. A buzzing energy fills the air as the sounds of the crowd roar in the distance. In one corner, James Mendoza is pacing back and forth, his clenched fists betraying his anger and frustration. In the opposite corner, Brandon Snyder, dressed in his flamboyant heel persona, leans casually against a wall, a sinister smile playing on his lips.

James Mendoza: [Voice seething with anger] You really think you can just do whatever the hell you want, huh? You think you can attack me and get away with it?

Brandon Snyder: [Chuckles] Oh, James, my dear old friend, what did you expect? This is the world of professional wrestling. It’s all about survival of the fittest, and I’m just making sure I’m on top.

James Mendoza: [Steps closer, pointing a finger at Snyder] We were best friends, Brandon! We’ve been through everything together. I trusted you.

Brandon Snyder:[Raises an eyebrow] Trusted me? Trust is for fools, James. In this business, you either take what you want or you get taken out. And I chose to take control of my destiny.

Mendoza’s face contorts with a mix of hurt and anger. He takes a deep breath to steady himself before continuing.

James Mendoza: You attacked me when I was seconds away from becoming the P:V Champion! You stabbed me in the back!

Brandon Snyder: [Smirks] Stabbed you in the back? No, my friend, I simply took the opportunity. You were in the wrong place at the wrong time. It’s all about seizing the moment.

Mendoza’s fists clench even tighter, his knuckles turning white. He takes a step forward, his voice dropping to a dangerous growl.

James Mendoza: You want to talk about seizing the moment? How about I seize this moment right now?!

Before Snyder can react, Mendoza lunges at him, tackling him against the wall. The two wrestlers start trading blows, their anger and frustration manifesting in every punch and shove. Security personnel rush in to intervene, attempting to separate the two. The scene turns chaotic as Mendoza and Snyder struggle against the hold of the security team.

Security Guard: Break it up! Break it up, damn it!

The struggle continues for a tense moment before the security guards manage to pry Mendoza and Snyder apart. Both men are breathing heavily, their eyes locked in a fiery glare.

Brandon Snyder: [Wipes blood from his lip and smirks] Looks like you’ve still got some fight left in you, Mendoza. I’ll give you that.

James Mendoza: [Breathing heavily, held back by security]* This isn’t over, Snyder. Not by a long shot.

As security guides Mendoza away from the scene, the camera lingers on Snyder’s cold smile. The tension in the corridor slowly subsides, leaving an air of anticipation and unresolved conflict.

Expanding the Roster

The camera fades in to the opulent office of JD James, the COO of P:V. The walls are adorned with framed wrestling memorabilia and championship belts. JD sits behind his desk, engrossed in paperwork, when a knock on the door interrupts his focus.

JD James Come in.

*The door creaks open, and in walks Curtis Knight, the imposing P:V Champion, known by his moniker, “The Dark Horse.” His championship belt gleams on his shoulder as he steps forward, his intense gaze fixed on JD James.

Curtis Knight: JD, my man! How’s it going?

JD James: *Nervously* Curtis, good to see you. What brings you here?

Curtis Knight: Oh, just thought I’d drop by, have a little chat. You know, man to man.

Curtis saunters over to JD’s desk, leaning against it casually. He drums his fingers on the championship belt with a faint, intimidating smile.

JD James *Swallowing nervously* Of course, Curtis. What can I do for you?

Curtis Knight: You see, JD, I’ve been watching the tag team division here in P:V, and I can’t help but notice it’s… lacking, if you catch my drift.

JD James: Well, Curtis, we’re always looking to improve and bring in new talent. We’re actively scouting—

Curtis Knight: *Cutting him off* Save it. I’ve got a proposal for you. There’s a tag team out there that’s been tearing it up on the indie scene. They’re hungry, they’re fierce, and they’re exactly what P:V needs to shake things up.

JD James: *Curious* Oh? And who are they?

Curtis Knight: *Smirks* Ah, now that’s the fun part. Their name? Well, I’ll keep you in suspense for now. But here’s the deal, JD. I want you to sign them to a contract. Make them a part of the P:V roster.

JD James: Curtis, you know I can’t just—

Curtis Knight: *Leaning in* Let’s not play games, JD. You and I both know I’ve got this title on my shoulder for a reason. I’m not just a wrestler, I’m a force of nature. And when I want something, I get it.

JD swallows hard, feeling the pressure of Curtis’s presence and reputation bearing down on him.

JD James: Okay, Curtis. I’ll consider it. I’ll review their matches, their credentials—

Curtis Knight: *Interrupting* No, JD. That’s not how this works. I want you to sign them, no questions asked. And here’s the kicker, they’ll make their debut in a match on the 51st episode of Uprising.

JD James: *Reluctantly* Curtis, I can’t just—

Curtis Knight: *Gets closer, his voice low and dangerous* You can. And you will. Because if you don’t, let’s just say things might get a little… uncomfortable for you.

JD’s expression tightens, clearly feeling the weight of Curtis’s implied threat.

JD James: Fine, Curtis. I’ll do it. I’ll sign the tag team and they’ll make their debut on the 51st episode.

Curtis Knight: *Smiles* That’s what I like to hear, JD. You won’t regret it.

Curtis turns and heads for the door, leaving JD sitting at his desk, visibly shaken. As the door closes, the camera zooms in on JD’s troubled expression, foreshadowing the impending debut of the mysterious new tag team.

Main Event Time

The camera cuts to a backstage area with a banner that reads “P:V Uprising 50.” Darwin Jones, a well-built and intelligent wrestler, stands confidently in his ring gear, ready for his main event match. He’s being interviewed by Elena Cruz, who holds a microphone and a smartphone with her Instagram app open.

Elena Cruz: Hey, everyone! It’s Elena Cruz, your favorite source of backstage gossip and glamour. I’m here with none other than the intellectual powerhouse, Darwin Jones! Darwin, how are you feeling ahead of your match against Puck?

Darwin Jones Elena, I appreciate the introduction. As for how I’m feeling, I’m focused and determined. Puck’s a tough competitor, but I’ve been studying his matches, analyzing his moves. I’m prepared to use strategy and strength to come out on top.

Elena Cruz: Strategy, huh? Well, we all know you’re not just brawn, but brains too. Do you really think all that thinking can help you overcome someone as dynamic as Puck?

Darwin Jones: Absolutely. Wrestling isn’t just about power moves; it’s about outsmarting your opponent. Puck’s got his strengths, but I’ve identified weaknesses that I plan to exploit.

Elena Cruz: Well, you know, Darwin, being a fan favorite doesn’t always translate to being a trending topic. And I’ve heard Puck’s got quite the following in Canada. How do you plan to keep up in the fame game?

Darwin Jones: Elena, I’ve never been one to chase after fame. I’m here to wrestle, to prove my skills in the ring. If that brings attention, great. But I’m not about to compromise my integrity for a few more followers.

Elena Cruz: Integrity, huh? Well, good luck with that, Darwin. So, aside from your wrestling prowess, what’s the secret to maintaining those biceps? Our viewers would love to know.

Darwin Jones: [Smirks] Well, Elena, it’s no secret. It’s discipline, dedication, and a lot of hard work. You see, success in the ring and in life requires consistent effort, not just a flashy social media presence.

Elena Cruz: Well, speaking of flashy, you know I’ve got to ask. Any special victory celebration planned for tonight? Something that’ll break the internet, maybe?

Darwin Jones: Elena, my focus is on the match itself. If I win, the celebration will be in my performance, not on my social media accounts. I’ll let my actions speak louder than any flashy celebration could.

Elena Cruz: Well, there you have it, folks! Darwin Jones, the thinking wrestler, ready to take on Puck in tonight’s main event. Thanks for the interview, Darwin, and good luck out there!

Darwin Jones: Thank you, Elena. I’ll do my best to make it a match worth watching.

As Darwin nods to Elena, the camera fades out, leaving anticipation for the upcoming main event match between Darwin Jones and Puck.
