The entrance video package for Uprising begins, accompanied by the theme song of ‘Uprising’ by Artificial Intelligence as highlights of past action from 2006 to present day are sped up, showing the likes of Elijah Drake, Jay Rayez, Shooting Star & Brutal Steve. As the video package finally comes to an end with an extended look at the ‘Uprising’ logo, the camera cuts to an exterior shot of the Goodfellas Casino Arena, in the heart of the Las Vegas strip, before cutting to a live shot of inside the arena.

The camera pans around the sold-out crowd, most of them on their feet and screaming loudly whilst trying to get their homemade sign shown in front of the camera. The cameras finally head over to the commentary table, where Julian Fiasco and Jeremiah Sloan welcome the fans watching on the HOTv network on PWA:TV to the broadcast and begin to break down some of the action that will take place on tonight’s show!

BACKSTAGE
The Plan

The cameras head backstage to the office of the COO of P:V, JD James! The crowd boo immediately upon seeing the COO, but the boos only get louder as the camera pans backwards and the figures of Curtis Knight and Athena Jones come into shot! JD James looks a little nervous sitting behind his desk, as the imposing couple stand in front of him.

Curtis Knight: “JD, what the hell do you mean we have to qualify for a shot at the P:V Championship?”

Knight looks enraged as he slams his fist down on James’s desk.

Curtis Knight: “We are the highest ranked stars here in P:V, hell we are the only stars on the roster. It should be me and Athena tonight with the P:V Championship on the line!”

Knight and Athena Jones grin at each other, clearly having some sort of plan lined up for the Championship match should it happen.

JD James: “Sorry guys but word has come down from on top, I have to set up qualifying matches to preserve the prestige of the Championship! Don’t worry though Curtis, have a little plan up my sleeve! I have you taking on Greg Stanley to qualify, this should be a walk in the park for you!”

Knight smiles and nods his head, clearly liking the sound of his ‘qualifying’ match.

Athena Jones: “And what about me JD?”

James gulps before replying.

JD James: “Well I am sure you will come through your match as well Athena, it is against Stevie Rigg…. The fans have been calling for him to be involved since he beat your brother on the last episode of Uprising….”

Athena looks less than impressed, as her husband has to stop her diving over the desk at JD James.

Curtis Knight: “Woah, Woah, hunny relax. You got this! He might have beat your dead beat brother, but no way is he gonna get the better of you one on one! Everything is set up according to plan, right JD?”

James nods his head as he rushes to stand up to his feet, grabbing a gold belt from his desk.

JD James: “That’s right guys that’s right. Now if you don’t mind, you have a match up next Curtis and I have to prepare to crown the P:V Television Champion tonight!

The camera fades out, with Athena still less than impressed to learn of her qualifying match opponent.

Curtis Knight vs. Greg Stanley

BACKSTAGE
Top Woman

The cameras head backstage, where there is a nostalgic cheer from the crowd with Cara Slapalot standing in the P:V interview pit! Alongside the veteran interviewer is former sVo & Blood Money star Lucy Von Drake, who clearly looks ready for battle tonight!

Cara Slapalot: “Lucy, thank you for joining me here tonight! Now later on you go one on one against Kat Kellison in a singles match. Do you have any words for your opponent?”

Lucy Von Drake: “First off, I have to say I am nearly impressed that Kat had the balls to go out there and face down Athena on the last Uprising, it was impressive, well almost….”

Von Drake shakes her head.

Lucy Von Drake: “What would have actually been impressive is if she had not been squashed by Athena like a bug in that match in about five minutes flat! You see Kat Kellison, Cherry Bordeaux, the rest of these woman need to know their place here in the wrestling business, and that place is behind me in the line to the top! I intend on reminding Kat Kellison of that position later on tonight!”

LVD glances at the interviewer to signal that she is done with the questions, before walking away from the interview pit.

Cara Slapalot: “Lucy Von Drake laying down the challenge there to the rest of the ladies in P:V! Now back to ringside where we are about the crown a new P:V TV Champion in an eight person ultimate battle royal match!”

The fans cheer for the announcement as the cameras cut back to ringside.

P:V Television Championship Battle Royal
Boyd Jackson vs. Cherry Bordeaux, vs. Dale Norman vs. Steven Love vs. Puck vs. Midas vs. Bjorn Asulf vs. Edwin Ellis

RINGSIDE
TV Crowning

There is a big cheer from the crowd as the referee raises Bjorn Asulf’s arm in the air in victory, whilst Boyd Jackson looks on from outside of the ring in disbelief! Asulf celebrates the victory by pounding his chest, as JD James climbs into the ring with the glistening P:V TV Championship belt, previously held by the likes of Shooting Star, Jerome W and Red Wing!

JD James presents the TV Championship to Bjorn Asulf who raises it above his head in victory! Asulf climbs to the second rope of the nearest turnbuckle and shows his new belt off to the crowd, as Boyd Jackson continues to watch on from outside of the ring, knowing he was just a second away from being the man to hold the title belt up high.

Single Match
Kat Kellison vs. Lucy Von Drake

BACKSTAGE
Third Man

After the back and forth match between Kat Kellison and Lucy Von Drake, the cameras head backstage once again to the COO’s office, where JD James is busy at work behind his desk. However suddenly JD James jumps up to his feet as the door comes flying off of its hinges, with Darwin Jones bursting into his office!

JD James: “Wait, Darwin, let’s talk about this….”

The crowd give a mixed reaction as Darwin Jones walks around to the side of JD’s desk, before grabbing the COO by his tie and lifting him off of his feet.

JD James: “Darwin, please!”

Jones simply stares at JD James, as the COO tries to wriggle himself free of the big mans grasp.

Darwin Jones: “I don’t know how much you knew about what went down on Uprising JD, but I don’t expect a straight answer from you anyway…”

JD James: “Please Darwin, I knew nothing, nothing!!”

Jones scoffs as JD’s answer whilst lifting him up a little higher to stop him talking.

Darwin Jones: “I expected it from Curtis, but my sister JD? My own sister! I want in to that qualifying match tonight JD….”

JD tries to protest, but Darwin Jones just lifts him a little higher.

Darwin Jones: “Just nod your head or shake it JD, but just know if you shake your head the next thing that is going to happen is that your nice new desk here is going to be smashed into a thousand pieces, and you are going to find yourself laying in the middle of it….”

JD thinks things over for a second or two, before nodding his head to cheers from the crowd.

Darwin Jones gently puts JD James down to his feet, before patting the COO on the top of his head. JD James looks too nervous to move, as Darwin Jones turns and makes his way out of the office as the scene fades out!

The Challenger

With moments to go until the main event, the cameras cut for the last time to the P:V interview pit, where Cara Slapalot is standing by with ‘Bigg’ Stevie Rigg, one of the three competitors that will battle it out to win the right to face Curtis Knight for the P:V Championship!

Cara Slapalot: “Stevie, thanks for joining me here tonight! Now it’s been a rollercoaster night already, with your match against Athena now becoming a triple threat match with Darwin Jones involved as well. What are your thoughts on this turn of events?”

Stevie Rigg: “Well one thing it does show Cara is just what a bitch our COO JD James is, to let Darwin Jones bully his way into the match like that! Now Darwin might want to beat his sister up, but that is something that he should be taking up with his psychologist, not with me. He doesn’t deserve a place in this match, I beat him fair and square on the last Uprising main event, and I guess I am going to have to do it again tonight!”

The crowd cheer Rigg on as he looks down the camera lens.

Cara Slapalot: “Well Athena is of course one of the other competitors in the match, what do you make of the challenge you face by taking her on?”

Stevie Rigg: “Well it’s a well known fact that Athena has bigger balls than most of the men in the locker room. Infact it seems she also carries around her husband and brothers balls with her as well. However make no mistake, I don’t care who else is in this match and who I face next or why. Put every member of that family against me and I am still going to be the next P:V Champion!”

Rigg points down the camera lens to send a message to his opponents, as the camera fades out and we head to one last commercial break!
