The Countdown to Violence

The official music for sVo Countdown To Violence 2008 – ‘All The Pretty Faces’ by The Killers plays in the background as the entrance video for the PPV hits the giant V-Tron in the sold out Air Canada Centre, Toronto, Canada where tonight sVo Champion Psyko Stevo will do battle with the man that defeated him for the International Title over six months ago, Alex Ross! The video shows action from the likes of sVo Champion Psyko Stevo, Alex Ross, Night, Chris Bond, ‘the Preacher’ Billy Jacobs, Julian Fiasco and Joseph Equinox! The video finally comes to a close an ominous message, ‘The Shadows Are Coming’!

The camera pans around the sold out screaming Canadian crowd as they clamber to try and get their signs seen on TV. The camera picks out the best signs from the crowd including ‘I Am The Shadows’, ‘Psyko Stevo – The Real Perfect Ten’, ‘Chris Bond, Marry Me Instead’, and ‘Gilmour Got Owned’!

Afraid of My Own Shadow

Backstage at Countdown to Violence we find the masked figure of Night seated calmly on the bench of a quiet, slightly darkened locker room. Night sits in his ring attire, topped off as always with his mask. He is slouched on a bench, leaning back against a locker, the sVo International Championship beams even in the darkness from it’s position on the bench next to him.

Also in the room is Night’s mentor and manager, Akira Kimura. Normally a calm and jovial man, Akira had been acting a little strange lately and very out of character. Seeming to suffer rather severe paranoia and agitation, now, before Night’s title defense seemed no different an occasion.

Pacing back and forth in the room, Akira resembled more of a caged animal than a wrestling veteran and famed trainer. Trying to ignore his master’s distractions, Night seems to have been brought to the end of the limits of his curiosity.

NIGHT: Master, you’ve been acting strangely for a while now. I didn’t see you for the longest time, suddenly I start having a really good run here and you’ve shown up to look after me…

Akira looks very upset at Night’s outburst. Reading his expression, Night backtracks, offering an apologetic and peaceful hand before him.

NIGHT: … I don’t mean that in a bad way, Master, I have been grateful for your guidance. However, being with you as much as I have been over the past few weeks, I have noticed you acting very strangely.

Akira gazes around nervously, carefully avoiding his protégé’s gaze.

NIGHT: Last week you asked if I would protect you…

Kimura interjects.

AKIRA: … it was a hypothetical question…

NIGHT: … Master, I know you too well for that. But you know me aswell, you knew I would look out for you without question. Something made you doubt that enough to seek reassurance from me.

Kimura looks around suspiciously, nervously eyeing the lockers, benches, doors, windows – basically everything in the room.

NIGHT: Master, if someone is trying to hurt you, I can only help if I know who I am dealing with.

AKIRA: It is far worse than that, Night. I fear my life may be in danger.

NIGHT: By who?

Akira’s face darkens, his expression is solemn and he lets out a deep sigh. He gazes at Night, searching his face hard to see if he really wants to know the truth.

AKIRA: … the shadows…

Not The Same

Inside the locker room of Bad Religion, Travis Williams sits on the couch, as Anthony is seen pacing back and forth, as if he is losing his mind.

Anthony Moretti – Travis, Max suffer a bad injury, and probably will never return to wrestling again.

Travis makes a slight noise at Moretti’s remarks, and Anthony turns to face.

Anthony Moretti – UGH? Is that all I get from you? You have been sitting behind bars for a week, I spend my money on making sure your ass is released, and this is the thanks I get?

Travis hangs down his head, and laughs somewhat.

Travis Williams – No offense Tony, but things are no longer the same. We evolved more in a month, than this world has evolved in a century. Bad Religion has gone from most talked and most feared, to what, two men and a suit? When I offered you a spot in Bad Religion, I gave you the role as leader basically. You controlled out business, I handled our business. And now, we are lacking numbers. Hell, Faggots of Fucking has four, we have two! You said you had this Tony, and yet, you are dropping the ball.

Anthony turns his back to Travis and shakes his head is disbelief at the comments.

Anthony Moretti – Maybe if I could have all of you here, instead of you playing punch bug with some wanna be rockstar in his forties, finding out the true meaning of don’t drop the soap. Maybe, I could get shit done!

Travis and Anthony eye one another, as Travis stands from the couch and heads toward Anthony. With his right arm, he shoves Anthony away from the door, and makes his exit.

Anthony Moretti – Fucking superstars! Always think they are better than everyone else!

SINGLE MATCH
Steven Steele vs. Matt Thornhill

“Kashmir” hits the PA as the lights dim in the arena. Matt Thornhill steps out onto the entrance ramp, lights flashing around him to the rhythm of the bassline in the song. Thornhill looks around, soaking in the atmosphere being created by the sold-out crowd cheering him on. Satisfied, Thornhill begins down the aisleway, slowly and deliberately focused squarely on the ring in front of him. Thornhill stops midway down, looking around, before sprinting the remainder of the way and sliding in, immediately getting to his feet and climbing a turnbuckle.

Matt Thornhill is greeted by a warm Canadian crowd, who cheer for the sVo newcomer in the opening contest. The referee back him into the corner, and checks him, as they await Steven Steele.

“Praise” by Sevendust rips on to the lound speakers, wish a quick flash of blue pyro, Steven Steele makes his way onto the top of the stage. Steele looks around for a moment, and then makes his way down the asile way. Steele walks up the steel steps and enters the ring. He goes to the far turnbuckle and climbs to the top. Steele looks around with a smirk on his face and then turns around and sits down on the top turnbuckle and sits down, waiting for the bell to sound.

Steele is giving the once over by the referee, as both men are cleared, the referee looks to be set to call for the bell…He checks and ask both wrestlers, with nods of agreement, the quick motion of the referee to the outside time keeper, and the bell sounds…

!DING!

!DING!

The two men circle the ring, as Matt stops in a corner, and holds up his hand, to motion for Steven to pause too. Thornhill starts to clap and stomp his feet to get the crowd fired up, and to annoy his opponent, as the arena is filled with loud support for Matt Thornhill. Steven Steele covers his hears, and tries to mute out the sold out arena, but it does not help him at all.

Two men circle the ring again, and step forward. A collar and elbow lock up, and the test of strength starts. Thornhill uses his slight height advantage to stand over his opponent and slap in a headlock. Steele takes him back against the ropes, and sends him off. On the return they meet in the center of the ring, as Steele takes down Thornhill with a shoulder block. Steele poses to the crowd, as he hits the ropes, Thornhill rolls over, step over by Steele, Thornhill to his feet. Steele hits the ropes again, and returns, Thornhill with a leap frog. Steele hits them again, and on his return, is caught by Thornhill in a hip toss that sends him towards a corner.

Steven Steele is outraged by these actions, as he fusses to the referee, “He pulled the hair!” The referee in doubt, ask Matt Thornhill of these actions. He shakes his head no, and then tells the referee to ask the sold out crowd. The referee makes the motion to the crowd, if Thornhill pulled the hair, and the crowd boos to weigh in their votes. The referee shows Steele a no see gesture and Steven kicks the bottom rope.

The two men circle the ring again, set for another lock up. They both step in, but Steele inputs a boot into the abs of Thornhill, doubling him over. Steven drives a hard clubbing blow across the shoulders of his Matt, before picking him back up and slinging him into the ropes. Matt hits the ropes and on the return, Steven lifts him up, spins him around and drops him back first across his knee with a tilt-a-world back breaker. He covers Matt, hooking both legs. The referee slides into position, checking the shoulders…

1…

2….

Thornhill powers out of the pinning position. Steele takes a minute to jaw jack the referee for what he deems a slow count. Meanwhile, Thornhill is slowly pulling himself up in a sitting position. Steven takes notice, and slaps on a rear chin lock. The referee is there, “What do you say Matt?” Matt Thornhill slams the mat with the heel of his boot, “No!” He screams out, as the crowd starts to cheer him. Matt starts to get to his knees, as he tosses two sharp elbows to the abs of Steven. Matt finally reaches his feet, and tosses another elbow, before side stepping his opponent, locking him, and scooping him up and dropping him backwards with a back suplex.

Matt and Steven are both down. Thornhill slowly moves, pulling himself up by the ropes. Steven slowly starts to move, as Matt is finally up, Steven staggers to his feet. Thornhill rushes in with a clothesline. Steven staggers back, stumbling, Thornhill takes him back down again with a flying forearm smash. Matt stands back to his feet, and shakes his fist in the air, symbolizing he is on fire. He picks up Steele, and cradles his head and leg, and slams him over with a T-bone suplex. He covers him, hooking a leg. The referee slides in, checking the shoulders…

1…

2…

No, Steele manages to place his foot on the bottom rope, breaking the count. Matt looks at the referee with questions, but does not bother. He slowly stands back to his feet, as he picks Steele. Setting him against the ropes. Matt tosses a quick chop to the pectoral muscle, and sends Steven off for the ride. Matt hits the ropes too, as they meet in the center, with both men thinking alike, leaping through the air with cross flying body presses, knocking both men out of breath on the mat, leaving the referee the only man standing.

The referee begins to count out both men, but after a few seconds Steele and Thornhill begin to rise to their feet to continue their epic battle. With both CWF wrestlers trying to prove that the main event is this opening match on the card, Steele and Thornhill meet in the center of the ring with big rights, with Matt Thornhill getting the upper hand with his huge punches pinning Steele back against the ropes. Thornhill grabs hold of Steven Steele by the arm and whips him into the opposite side of the ring, before taking him down with a tilt-a-whirl slam as he bounces back! With Steven Steele down on the mat, Matt Thornhill begins to walk around the ring and signal for his finishing move!

The crowd cheer as Matt Thornhill pulls Steven Steele up to his feet before positioning him for the ‘Crown of Thorns’! The crowd rise to their feet to see the dangerous finishing move, however out of nowhere Steven Steele counters with a big back body drop on Thornhill! If Thornhill had hit that finishing move then the match would have no doubt been over, but Steele countered! Matt Thornhill struggles back up to his feet before lurching towards Steven Steele with a last ditch clothesline attempt to try and regain control of the match, but Steven Steele ducks out of the way before grabbing Thornhill from behind! Boos ring out around the arena as the former CWF wrestler slams his fellow former CWF wrestler Thornhill to the mat with the ‘Banishment’ finishing move! The boos continue to sound around the arena as Steven Steele drops down over the body of Thornhill to make the cover.

2..

3!!

This one is all over, and in the battle of the former CWF wrestlers its Steven Steele that steps out victorious! Steve Steele rises up to his feet and has his hand raised in the air in victory by the referee. Steele however quickly snatches his arm down before eyeballing around the crowd that are loudly booing him as his music blasts over the sound system. Steele and Thornhill have certainly made good on their promise to put on one of the matches of the PPV, and with Steven Steele picking up the win, will we see the Atlanta native shoot up the ranks in the sVo in July?

RESULT: Steven Steele def. Matt Thornhill via pinfall

Impressed

Backstage Steven Steele is making his way to his locker room after his hard fought victory over fellow former CWF wrestler Matt Thornhill only moments ago in the opening match of tonight’s PPV. However despite his PPV victory, Steele doesn’t look all that pleased as he turns the corridor and continues to make his way to his locker room. However as Steele steps through into his locker room, he notices a surprise is already there waiting on a chair for him.

Anthony Moretti.

Flanked by Zero, Anthony Moretti is sitting in a chair in the middle of Steven Steele’s locker room wearing his trademark pinstripe suit. Moretti smiles at Steve Steele, but Steele doesn’t seem so happy to see the two members of Bad Religion.

Anthony Moretti – “Very impressive match out there tonight Mr Steele.”

Steve Steele – “What the hell are you two doing in here?”

Zero takes a few steps towards Steven Steele.

Zero – “Since when has there been anything wrong with congratulating someone on a big win?”

However Steven Steele is not intimidated as he stares across at Zero.

Steven Steele – “I know who you guys are, and if you want to fight me then lets get going, I am already on a roll tonight.”

Anthony Moretti stands to his feet and puts himself between Zero and Steven Steele.

Anthony Moretti – “Fight? We are not here to fight, quite the opposite. We saw your match tonight, pretty impressive for a… show opener.”

The words seem to cut Steven Steele deep as he snarls back at Moretti.

Steven Steele – “It’s a joke that me and Matt Thornhill are opening a card. We should be up near the top. We are legends in this business and the people running the sVo have no clue what they are doing.”

Moretti nods and smiles.

Anthony Moretti – “A man after my own heart, I hate the way that Paige is bastardising my fathers company. That’s why I am here, I want you to join out crusade Steven. I want you to become a part of Bad Religion and help us take down the sVo.”

Anthony Moretti stares at Steven Steele as Steele stares back, not knowing quite what to say. Anthony Moretti eventually breaks the silence as Zero stares at Steele.

Anthony Moretti – “Don’t worry, we don’t need an answer right away.”

Moretti and Zero turn to leave the room, before Moretti pops his head back through the door.

Anthony Moretti – “We will need to know by Showdown though Steven. If you not with us then….. well. You know.”

Anthony Moretti looks Steven Steele in the eye who looks straight back, before Moretti leaves the room and allows Steven Steele to ponder his thoughts.

The Night the Lights Went Out In Toronto…

[The scene quickly cuts backstage to reveal Chris Bond standing outside his locker room door. He’s still in his street clothes; apparently his match isn’t for a while now. Standing beside him is none other than sVo’s own Tamara Boyd.]

Tamara: “Ladies and Gentlemen, I’m standing here with the number one contender for the sVo International Championship, well, one of them at least, Chris Bond. Chris, you’ve had one hell of a week. How are you feeling right now?”

[Bond looks at her.]

Bond: “Well Tamara. My best bud was locked up in a Brazilian prison, but he’s been released. I haven’t heard anything from him. I beat Howie Banks by a technicality, now people are backstage claiming that it was a rouge to try and get me where I am today. I screwed up things with Paige by singing her a song I figured was harmless…”

[She interrupts him.]

Tamara: “Yeah… that song is about blowjobs.”

[CB glares at her.]

Bond: “Yeah, I know that now Tamara… by the way how’s the neck now that Jimmy’s been in prison?”

[She looks at him, obviously angry, but understanding.]

Tamara: “Fair enough… and touché might add. You’re competing against Night and Billy Jacobs later tonight. How is that feeling to you right now? You faced Night once before, but that was in the Organized Chaos match a month or so ago. Billy Jacobs, the Preacher, you’ve had some confrontation with last week. None of you guys are really sure what’s in store, but is there something up your sleeve?”

[Bond looks at her… suddenly the lights begin to flicker.]

Tamara: “Shitty building. I sooo can’t wait until we get back home to Vegas.”

Bond: “Yeah, tell me about it, it’s like they’ve doing that every time tonight I was talking to someone about my match. It’s like it’s an omen or something. I don’t know. But to your question. No, I don’t have an ace up my sleeve or anything. This’ll be the first time in a long time that we’ll see a one-hundred percent pure athletic competition between three of the sVo’s brightest, most talented individuals. I wish my opponents good luck and offer them both a bit of advice.”

[Tamara looks at Bond.]

Tamara: “Oh really Mr. Bond? And what would that be?”

Bond: “Night… you need to wake the fuck up! Its go time baby and I can’t have you sleeping the night away. And Reverend, I hope you leave the Bible in the back. Because the good Lord himself won’t able to stop me tonight! I will walk out of there with that strap… and there’s not a damn thing anybody can do about it!”

[Tamara looks at him, a little shocked at the outburst of emotion.]

Tamara: “Well you heard it here first folks… Chris Bond with his wake-up calls and free advice. The International Championship match will surely be one of the most amazing matches on this Countdown to Violence card… with Chris Bond promising a victory here tonight.”

[The lights flicker once more. Tamara is obviously pissed. Bond just stands there, rubbing his hands together, peering out down the corridor. At the hall is the office of sVo President Paige Johnson. He smiles… as Tamara storms off, spiking the microphone at the ten yard line. The scene slowly fades to white.]

TAG TEAM MATCH
JD Hart & Sean Peters vs. High Voltage

“Sharp Dressed Man” by ZZ Top starts to play as strobe lights start flickering as the arena goes dark and the music starts to play. The Sex Symbols walk out from behind the curtain wearing black vests and black pants. They start dancing at the top of the ramp way and then strip away the black vests revealing the suspenders that are holding up their pants. They keep on dancing as the music plays.

“Coming to the ring from the Sunset Strip, weighing in at four hundred and sixty five pounds, JD Hart, Sean Peters, they are the Sex Symbols!!!

Then they walk down the ramp way stops and poses, holding both arms up and flexing. They then turn around and walk back up the ramp to where they took off the vests and pose some more. They start walking back down the ramp way this time they un-strap the right side of their suspenders and then un-strap the left ones. They walk up the stairs and look around at the fans that are having a mixed reaction to them. They start dancing again after they enter the ring through the ropes. Still dancing they grab their waist band of the pants and tear them away from their body revealing their wrestling attire. They begin to dance again to the music while they await the ring bell.

“High Voltage” By Linkin’ Park plays as the fans get to their feet and wait the arrival of High Voltage the tag team. Thompo and Zentarous make their way down the ramp way and towards the ring. Both men get inside of it and begin to stretch and get ready for their match.

The bell sounds.

Both teams are inside of the ring as The Sex Symbols and High Voltage stand on the other side of the ring from one another.

The two teams look to decide on who is going to start the match up for both sides. They have faced off recently before on UnSanctioned seeing the Sex Symbols over High Voltage.

It seems to be JD Hart and Thompo who start this match off.

They tie up.

Thompo uses his bigger body and strength to his advantage as he pushes JD Hart back into a corner. His own corner in fact where Zentarous extends his hand for the tag and Thompo slaps his hand down and tags him inside of the ring.

Zentarous makes his way into the ring. He quickly throws a right hand punch to JD Hart. Following that Zentarous now shoulder blocks him in the rib cage area a few times as High Voltage is getting some interesting feedback by the fans who are booing and cheering, how confusing. Sean Peters watches on as JD Hart is whipped out of the corner and into his own.

Zentarous runs in at him and misses a clothesline as he goes sternum first into the turnbuckle. JD Hart manages to tag in Sean Peters who quickly gets inside of the ring and grabs Zentarous from behind and nails him down with a back suplex. Sean gets on top of Zentarous body now as he hooks his leg for the very first pin fall in this match up.

ONE

TWO

Only a two could be contested though as Zentarous gets his shoulder up and kicks out of that predicament.

Sean Peters now wraps his arm around the head of Zentarous who begins to get up. He now pushes Peters off and into the ropes. As Sean comes back he is back elbowed to the face. Zentarous now crawls over to his corner and tags Thompo back in as he comes in and grabs a hold of Sean Peters and body slams him down against the canvas. He hooks his leg and goes for a pin fall.

ONE

TWO

Barely a two count as Sean Peters kicks out of that maneuver. JD Hart and Zentarous watch on from the ring apron.

Thompo grabs Peters back up to his feet and whips him hard into the ropes. Peters bounces back, but as Thompo looks for a clothesline, Peters ducks underneath it before turning and nailing The Limp Noodle onto Thompo! Peters quickly drops down for the cover!

1..

Zentarous leaps into the ring!

2..

JD Hart takes out Zentarous before he can break up the pin!

3!!

JD Hart and Sean Peters have picked up another Tag Team win over High Voltage and must now surely be on their way to getting a sVo Tag Team title shot in the near future!

RESULT: JD Hart & Sean Peters def. High Voltage via pinfall

Cody Cody Cody!

Nathan Paradine is shown walking backstage, still in his street clothes, with a black sports bag slung over his shoulder. His match with Cody Williams is up later tonight, but until then all he has to do is sit in his locker room with a glass of iced water and enjoy the show…

“Nathan! Nathan!”

Or maybe not…

Katie Smith hurries up to him, mic in hand, eager for a scoop on tonights match. Nathan sighs and sits his bag down.

“Interview time?” he asks.

“Interview? Wait, oh… No, I was wonderining if you knew where Cody Williams was, I wanted to ask him a few-“

Cody Williams!?

“What would you be looking for Cody Williams, Miss Smith? Wouldn’t you rather interview the winner of the Submission Match tonight?” Nathan smirks as he speaks, confidence registered in every line of his face. Katie giggles.

“That’s why I’m looking for Cody, Mr. Paradine…”

“Cody Cody Cody, that’s all I ever heard around this place! Why do you think I started this whole vendetta!? It was to prove Cody Williams is nothing more than a worthless pile of crap, a waste of sVo space! I broke him in Tokyo, and I’ll break him again tonight, you can bet on that Katie! No more miracles after tonight, no siree!” and with that, Nathan storms off, snatching up his bag and disappearing off screen.

“Jeez… some people can’t take a joke…” Katie frowns after the departing Paradine.

Frank James continues to celebrate in the ring as Faith Winchester and Talon look up at the new Champion and think of what might have been.

RESULT: Frank James wins the sVo Las Vegas Championship

The Cream Always Rises

The sVo cameras quickly head backstage where security is trying to restrain an angry TJ Raven and an angry Mike Manson who are squaring up to each other in the backstage corridors after being involved in each others elimination during the Las Vegas Championship battle royal match moments ago. However as security struggles to restrain the two wrestlers, an unlikely peace maker steps between the two in the form of Anthony Moretti.

In his pinstripe suit, Moretti waves away the security who reluctantly retreat as Moretti stands between the two men.

Anthony Moretti – “What the hell is this, fighting between yourselves guys?”

Mike Manson – “You cheap shotted me out of that match Raven. If it wasn’t for you I would be Las Vegas Champion by now!”

TJ Raven – “Are you kidding, if you hadn’t distracted me from the outside I would never have been eliminated!”

Anthony Moretti – “GUYS!”

Both men temporarily shift their focus to Anthony Moretti.

Anthony Moretti – “This is exactly what Paige wants you to be doing guys. I know of your history, I know that you two are top performers in this industry! I know that Paige is holding you down here in the sVo and she wants you to be fighting amongst yourselves like this!”

TJ Raven and Manson briefly stop their arguments as they look towards Moretti.

Anthony Moretti – “At Bad Religion we are working hard to take down Paige and make sure she can’t hold down you guys. The cream always rises to the top guys, but if you two were to join up with me, you might get their that little bit quicker after we get rid of Paige.”

Manson and TJ Raven both look at Anthony Moretti slightly unsure of his motives.

Anthony Moretti – “I don’t need an answer tonight, but Bad Religion would open up a lot of doors for you two, and several more like minded individuals….”

Anthony Moretti looks both men in the eye before leaving the scene as Manson and TJ Raven eye ball each other again.

A Lesson For Ross

*The sVo Tron comes to life and the fans fire off a suprisingly mixed reaction as the sVo World Champion, Psyko Stevo is displayed on the screen. The cameras then zoom out and we see interviewer extradionare Candi Cross standing next to the Psyko One. Immediately behind Stevo is the current Hardcore Champion, Joseph Equinox. Stevo has a determined look on his face as he shrugs off the boo’s from the crowd and listens to Candi.*

Candi: Hello I’m Candi Cross. Tonight I’m standing here with the World Champion, Psyko Stevo who had some suprisingly harsh words for some of his greatest supporters earlier this week in Las Vegas on Good Morning America. Stevo, what happened and do you feel any remorse for your poor choice of words?

Stevo: Poor choice of words? No, I have no remorse whatsoever and I stand by each and every word I said.

*Stevo adjusts himself a bit so he’s standing right in the center of the picture as he looks towards all the fans as he speaks.*

Stevo: Look Candi, people don’t understand the pressure that I’m under each and every day. I’m building something great, I’m on an express pathway towards becoming the greatest entertainer in the history of the world.

Candi: What does that have to do with what you said towards your fans?

Stevo: People either have to hop on board with the message I’m sending, or they can get lost. I’m not pandering to the masses anymore, I’m done selling dreams. What you see is what you get. I’m an inspirational icon the world over, I speak messages of being a great person, respecting your family and making the most out of life. If you can’t accept that, then I don’t know what to tell you.

*Another loudly mixed reaction from the crowd as Stevo shrugs it off.*

Stevo: Look at Joseph Equinox. Equinox is on board with my message. He understands that you have to break a few eggshells to make an omlette. He gets it, and I suggest that you follow his example because from this moment forward, you’re either with me and my message… or you’re in for a hard lesson.

Candi: Right then, any words towards your opponent tonight, Alex Ross?

Stevo: Ross, you’re the scum of the Earth and tonight I intend to teach you a lesson you won’t soon forget.

*Stevo nods at the cameras as Candi Cross looks at him for more.*

Stevo: I don’t have time for this Cross.. I have places to be and things to do.

*The fans boo as Psyko Stevo quickly leaves the scene, Joseph Equniox following not too far behind him.*

Revenge is Bitter Sweet

We are live from the Air Canada Center in Toronto, Canada as Countdown to Violence is already off to a great start. The fans are going crazy, awaiting what will happen next. Suddenly, a gigantic explosion comes from the ramp and the lights go out. Fans are screaming and flashbulbs start to go off as they don’t know what will happen next. A bolt of lightning then strikes the stage and engulfs it in flames as the opening riff of “Walk with me in Hell” begins to play over the PA. The fans rise to their feet as Max Masterson and Rose Smith come out together. Rose is in a stunning red dress and Max is in a red suit and pants with his trusty cane by his side. The fire subsides and they look back to see Peter Gilmour coming out in a all red cloak with hood. Peter meets Max and Rose midway and they go down the ramp. The stop and then all three in unison, throw up an “X” as red pyro goes off in the same fashion. The trio goes to the ring, ignoring the fans remarks. Max gets on the apron and pulls the ropes up for Rose to get in, then gets in himself. The trio then stands in the ring and throws up another “X” as the fans in Toronto give a mixed reaction as the lights come back up. Max has a microphone in hand and then gives it to his best friend Peter. Peter begins to speak.

Peter: Tonight is a very special night. Oh yes, it is. Tonight, you will all witness the destruction of Zero and Julian Fiasco. You see last week those two assholes screwed me out of becoming the 16 time World Heavyweight Champion and I am not a happy camper about that. I had Psyko Stevo beat until that bastard Zero had to stick his nose into my business and distract me. Then, Paige Johnson’s fuck buddy Julian Fiasco tried to play hero and get Zero and Bad Religion out of the ring and has the audacity to hit Stevo with a chair and get me disqualified.

Fans cheer for Julian hitting Stevo with the chair. Peter is not amused.

Peter: Oh, you like that huh? You like me getting disqualified and losing my shot at becoming the World Champion?

Fans cheer more.

Peter: Well SCREW YOU! What do you pieces of Canadian bacon have to show for yourselves? Your sports teams haven’t won anything in over a decade and your hero Celine Dion is doing cocaine in Las Vegas. Good thing shes not singing at the Goodfellas Arena. Nobody would show up to see a washed up Canadian BITCH!

Fans are really livid at Peter’s remarks. Peter laughs as Max and Rose just look on.

Peter: But let’s get serious. Julian and Zero, tonight you will witness first hand that what you did last week will NOT go unpunished. You cost me something I’ve been wanting for over 4 weeks. For that you must be held accountable. I will beat both of you until you are both wearing the crimson mask. I will break both of you into a million pieces and I WILL be the one standing victorious in the center of the ring. Julian and Zero, you will both be taken…. TO HELL!!

Walk with me in Hell begins to play as Peter looks dead into the camera as Rose claps her hands for her man and Max just looks at Peter with a smug look. We fade to commercial.

sVo Tag Team Championships
TAG TEAM MATCH
The Double Dragons (c) vs. The Heroes of Violence

Everything goes dark when the sound of Rammstein’s Bück Dich hits the sound system. The screen then begins to play old highlights of GLCW matches of Hooligan. Red lights and red pyrotechnics then fill the entrance as he emerges out and makes his way down the walkway slowly as fans reach out to try to touch. He then takes a running start and dives onto the ring under the bottom rope and then gets to his feet. Hooligan goes to the center of the ring and raises his arm in a fist as he spins in a circle slowly looking out to the audience. He then retreats to his corner and awaits the beginning of the fight.

A wall of pyros scream out diagonally from the stage as Falls Apart by TFK cranks out of the speakers. Brock enters the stage as the pyros fade. He continuse quickly down the ramp, sliding into the ring. After a quick lap, he climbs to the second rope, throwing one finger in the air before retreating to his corner.

Brock and Hooligan stand in their corner, waiting for their opponents, the sVo World Tag Team Blaze and Sensei Shredder. The referee checks both men, as they stand watching the entrance ramp…

Operation Ground and Pound begins playing as the lights in the arena go off. A white fog lifts from the stage and bright white lights are flashing all around as the music builds. A vague figure within the fog begins to rise from the stage when the drum beats are cued. When the music slows everything goes black again. Once the fast drus beats finish and the breakdown starts, the whole arena bursts into light and the wrestler begins moving down the ramp, giving the fans his love. Once he reaches the ring, he jumps around in excitement, going to each turnbuckle raising both his fists in the air for the crowd.

The pre-chorus of “Reptilia” begins, with the drum beats blasting as the lights dim out and orange and blue flames flicker on the screen. The guitar riff plays as the lights begin to flash orange and blue, followed by the chorus of Reptilia beginning as a huge flame pyro explodes in the entrance way and BlaZe comes running out of the back. He sprints to the ring, sliding in and leaping to his feet wildly and signalling to the fans. He climbs the turnbuckle as poses, before removing his jersey, autographing it and throwing it to the fans. He then runs to the other side, autographing his cap and throwing that to the fans before jumping down into the center of the ring and hopping up and down to prepare for the match.

Blaze and Sensei Shredder remove their tag team straps, and glare at them, before they hand them off to the referee. The referee displays them to the challengers, and then holds them up in the air. Showing the live crowd who has sold out the arena, and then displaying it into the camera on the ring apron. The referee hands them off to the time keeper. The champions are checked and clear.

The referee informs both teams that their one man to start the match is needed. Hooligan and Brock play rock paper scissors for it. Brock tosses out paper, and Hooligan tosses out scissors, winning the friendly contest. Hooligan awaits for the Double Dragons to decide. BlaZe claims he can take handle Hooligan, as Sensei Shredder exits the ring. The referee checks to see if they are ready, nods, and there’s the bell…

Hooligan manages to take BlaZe back into an empty corner, as the referee orders for a break. Hooligan, slowly, starts to step back, giving a clean break in the corner. BlaZe steps out, as the two men circle the ring again, as they tag hands in respect, and lock back up. BlaZe quickly grabs the arm of Hooligan, floats under, and pits it behind Hooligan in an arm bar. He sqeezes, as Hooligan gives a back elbow.

He manages to daze BlaZe slightly, and reverses the arm bar, as he cranks it up a few times, before pulling BlaZe into him, and slapping on a headlock. A few grinds on the head, and BlaZe takes him against the ropes. A shot to the stomach and BlaZe sends him off into the ropes. The return sees Hooligan with a leap frog, as BlaZe hits the ropes again, Hooligan down stomach first, step over, back to his feet. BlaZe on the return, Hooligan goes for a hip toss, block, BlaZe nails him in the stomach, sticks a leg over his head, and flips backwards. BlaZe hops to his feet, and shakes his arms and hands, as the crowd lights up for the local hero.

As the fan start to cheer on the tag team of The Double Dragons, BlaZe picks up Brock, but the referee steps in between them, and forces BlaZe to his corner. Shredder staggers to his feet, as Hooligan is up as well. Brock and Hooligan nail Shredder with a knee block clothesline combo behind the referee. Brock grabs Shredder by the hair and forces him to the mat face first. He walks to his corner and tags in Hooligan, who runs down the apron to the corner where Shredder just fell from. Roll Those Dice!

Backstage in the office of Preisdent Paige, the sVo Goodfellas casino table has been rolled out again as Talon stands over the table with a dice in hand having won his ‘Roll the Dice’ match last week on the sVo UnSanctioned show. Paige is looking over the preceedings as Talon prepares to roll the dice.

Talon – “So all I do is roll the dice and I get a prize right?”

President Paige – “Well, it might be a prize you like, or it might be something that you don’t like so much….”

Talon looks at Paige nervously before looking at the dice he rolls around in his hand. As Talon hopes for a big win, the lights in the room begin to flicker which causes Paige to look around nervously, rembering her encounter in the darkness a few weeks ago.

Talon – “These god damn arenas eh. I can’t wait until we get back to Las Vegas…”

Paige nods, not quite as sure as Talon as he shakes the dice one last time before tossing them down the table. The dice roll around bouncing off of the sides before finally landing with the three facing up.

Talon – “What do I win then?”

Paige looks down her list of prizes before looking back up at Talon with a smile on her face.

President Paige – “Well it looks like you have just won yourself a shot at the sVo Hardcore Championship belt! Congratulations Talon.”

Talon looks pleased with his prize as he shakes Paige’s hand.

Talon – “Awesome, I guess I will have to pay close attention to that Zero Gravity match later tonight then!”

Talon exits the room as Paige looks around, a small expression of fear creeping across her face as the lights once again flicker.

TRIPLE THREAT MATCH
Zero vs. Peter Gilmour vs. Julian Fiasco

My reflection…
Dirty mirror…
There’s no connection..
To myself…

The arena goes dark and “Zero” by Smashing Pumpkins plays over the arena sound system. The entrance to the ramp fills with smoke, and Zero sprints out, straight down to the ring amidst a mixed reaction from the crowd. He leaps from the ramp, diving between the bottom and middle ropes. Once in the ring he climbs up onto the turnbuckle and performs a crucifix pose, before dismounting and backing away into the corner.

The Godfather theme song blares over the PA and Julian Fiasco appears at the top of the ramp way. He rubs his hands down his suspenders and listens to the crowd booing him. Fiasco then slowly walks down the ramp until he gets to the ring. He climbs up the stairs and into the ring where he rolls up his sleeves and awaits his opponent.

Julian Fiasco walks around the ring, reviving the energy flowing through his blood line.

The lights go out in the arena and the beginning chords of Lamb of God’s WALK WITH ME IN HELL begin to play. The lights then turn red and Max Masterson begins to make his way out to the ramp. He is dressed in a red suit and holding a Singapore cane. He looks over the crowd and begins to laugh. Soon after, Peter Gilmour comes out in a dark red cloak with no hood and the words “Xtreme” on the back. Peter meets Max and both of them throw up an “X” as fire emits in the same fashion behind them. The duo goes to the ring, ignoring the fans comments towards them. Max gets into the ring first and Peter follows behind him. Peter goes into the middle of the ring stretches out his arms and rolls his eyes in back of his head ala the Undertaker, as the lights come back on. Max takes off Peter’s cloak and Peter looks at the ramp intently, waiting on his next opponent.

Zero, the only active member of Bad Religion competing tonight, goes nose-to-nose with Fasco, President Paige’s hired gun. Taunting ach other back and forth, Zero slaps Fiasco as Peter Gilmour circles them like a shark, with a hungry look in his eye. Fiasco stumbles back and looks to pay Zero back for the disrespect, but Peter Gilmour spears him to the ground!

Gilmour begins to unload into Fiasco with lefts and rights, however Zero chops Gilmour in the back. As Gilmour reels in pain, Zero grabs the back of his trunks and Irish whips him into a far corner!

Turning his attention back to Fiasco, Zero kicks him across the head before dropping down for the cover.

ONE…

TWO… No!!! Fiasco manages to kick out and Zero is upset to see it!

He picks up Fiasco, dragging him around the ring. Fiasco takes the opportunity open to him and kicks Zero right in the gut! Fiasco lifts Zero up for a powerbomb, however Peter Gilmour comes from behind and levels Fiasco with a steel chair!

Zero is slammed to the ground as Fiasco drops to his knees and inadvertently covers him.

ONE… No!! Peter Gilmour comes back and breaks the cover! Swinging the steel chair again, Gilmour takes Fiasco off his feet. He drops to the cover on the fallen Zero.

ONE…

TWO… No!!! Zero just manages to get a shoulder up! A frustrated Gilmour switches over to Fiasco for another cover!

ONE…

TWO…

TH-No!!! Fiasco gets his shoulder up just in time and Peter Gilmour is beside himself with rage!

He tosses the chair aside and grabs Fiasco by the head, lifting him up for a thunderous chokeslam! Fiasco comes to and begins to hit Gilmour, trying to escape the choke. Zero gets to his feet and boots Gilmour in the chest, sending him crashing down! Zero tries to chase Gilmour, but he slides out of the ring and lick his wounds on the outside.

Julian Fiasco catches his breath in the center of the ring as Zero turns around and the two men meet eyes once more. Zero charges, however Fiasco drops down and grabs Zero’s foot, crashing him face first down on the mat. Zero uses the ring ropes to try to pull himself up, but Fiasco stomps on him before flipping him over the top rope. Zero crashes on the outside as Julian Fiasco is the last man standing in the ring!

Fiasco sees Gilmour coming in with another chair, so he grabs the chair that’s already in the ring. As Gilmour enters the ring, Fiasco moves toward him, however he spots Zero sliding into the ring with a chair of his own!

The three men stand, bracing themselves to battle as they hold their chairs and taunt each other. Gilmour tosses his chair aside and shouts for his opponents to charge! Zero and Fiasco glance between each other before making a Peter Gilmour and metal sandwich with a vicious conchairto! The crowd is on its feet and going wild as Peter Gilmour drops and Fiasco and Zero pause for a moment to admire their handiwork.

Remembering where the are and the task at hand, the two men swing back and each dares the other to attack. Fiasco takes the first chance and swings, but Zero ducks and turns faster, catching Fiasco in the face with the steel chair! Julian Fiasco has been busted wide open by the chair shot! Zero drops to the mat to make the cover.

ONE…

TWO…

THRE- Gilmour rises to his knees and pushes Zero, breaking the count at the last possible second!

Gilmour takes the chance to get to his feet and lay into Zero with punches. Gilmour cranks back for the knockout blow, but Zero ducks out of the way and attacks an infuriated Gilmour! The two men exchange punches and kicks as each tries to gain the advantage in this battle between three titans!

The two men battle into the corner, as Zero forces Gilmour up to the top. They battle there, barely able to keep their balance, as a bloodied Julian Fiasco rises to his feet finally and looks over to them. He wipes the blood off his face and roars in anger as he walks toward Gilmour and Zero, who still don’t seem to notice him. Reaching up, Fiasco cold clocks both men before climbing up to the top rope himself.

Grabbing both opponents by the throat, Fiasco summons the strength to leap off the top rope, Zero and Gilmour both in his grasp! One sickening thud later, Julian Fiasco has just smashed both his opponents through the Spanish announce table!

I didn’t even know we had one of those!

Fiasco, Zero, and Gilmour are all out of commission in a mangled heap of bodies, wood, and cushioned rolling chairs!

The fans go wild as the three men all struggle to their feet, slowly but surely. Blood trickles down their faces as they crawl toward the ring as fast as their broken bodies can manage. Gilmour slides into the ring first and tries to catch his breath as Fiasco and Zero drag and kick at each other, each one trying to gain the advantage in this race to the finish.

As both struggle against the ring apron, Peter Gilmour uses the rest time to rise to his feet. Now up and running again, he grabs a dented chair in each hand and slams them together, yelling in challenge to his opponents, who are still tearing the ring apron down in their struggle to get to the ring and on their feet.

Back on the floor, Fiasco and Zero begin to ram their shoulders together, each one trying to knock the other off the ring apron. Fiasco headbutts Zero, sending him toppling to the ground! The way is clear as he rolls underneath the bottom rope and rises to his feet. It looks like it’s going to come down to Fiasco and Gilmour, as Zero struggles to even get into the ring!

Fiasco charges into the chair-wielding maniac, knocking him back with a thunderous kick. Gilmour stumbles, as Fiasco grabs one of his chairs. Fiasco levels Gilmour with the chair and smacks it against him on the mat for good measure! Fiasco drops to the ground and makes the cover.

ONE…

TWO…

THREE!!! Julian Fiasco has made President Paige proud as he overcomes the Xtreme Icon and the enforcer of Bad Religion! He raises his fists in celebration as he climbs out of the ring!

RESULT: Julian Fiasco def. Peter Gilmour & Zero via pinfall

Love Is A Battlefield

[The scene flashes backstage. It’s eerily quiet this time of the night. Not even the fans are heard chanting. But sitting in his locker room, Chris Bond sits and stares at the wall. No distractions. He’s got one of the biggest matches of his career tonight.]

Chris Bond: “This is one of the biggest matches of my career tonight.”

[He quickly looks left and then right before standing up and walking over to the bathroom counter. He turns the knob on the faucet, and brushes some water on his face. He grabs for a towel and wipes the water off. He replaces it on the little silver loop thingy… the “towel holder” if you will, and looks into the mirror. He is shocked to find Paige Johnson standing there.]

Chris Bond: “AHHH!”

[She jumps back as well. He turns around and catches his breath. She looks at him, beet red.]

Paige: “Jesus Christ Chris… what are you trying to do, scare me to death?”

Bond: “I’d ask you the same Madam.”

[He smirks, and she does as well.]

Bond: “What can I do for you?”

Paige: “Well Chris, I came here personally to wish you good luck. I came here to inform you that next week on Showdown, you will receive your gadgets back. I came here to inform you that last week’s ‘Milkshake’ fiasco wasn’t as embarrassing as I had previously thought… that it was one of the nicest, and most awkward things, anyone has ever done for me…”

[Bond’s face shows a glimpse of pride and joy.]

Bond: “Yeah… well, it’s what I do.”

[She pats him on the shoulder.]

Paige: “I also came here to inform you, that after our secret little date last night, I came to the realization that I think I’m falling for you.”

[She blushes. Bond is caught off guard.]

Bond: “Thanks… I think. Does that mean you’re smitten with me?”

[Paige looks at the ground.]

Paige: “I think you could say that. I really enjoyed myself, and it was the first time in a long time I was able to think about something other than Bad Religion or even the sVo for that matter!”

[Bond looks at her and the two walk over to the bench in the locker room.]

Bond: “Paige… I have something to tell you. I…”

[Paige looks at him with a look of concern.]

Paige: “What is it Chris?”

Bond: “I…. I…. well, I…. think… you should know that…”

Paige: “Chris?”

[Bond looks away from her.]

Paige: “Chris, you can tell me anything.”

[Bond looks back at her and grabs her hand.]

Bond: “We are young…”

[Paige looks at him with a raised eyebrow.]

Paige: “Chris?”

Bond: “Heartache to heartache we stand… No promises, no demands. Love is a battlefield. We are strong; no one can tell us we’re wrong. Searchin’ our hearts for so long… both of us knowing; Love is a battlefield.”

[Paige looks at him. She’s unsure what to say.]

Paige: “Chris. Enough of this shit.”

[Paige gets up and begins making her way to the door. She looks back at Bond, who’s quickly searching for the right words. She turns the handle, and opens the door.]

Bond: “PAIGE! I LOVE YOU!”

[She stops dead in her tracks. She doesn’t turn around or say anything.]

Bond: “Paige… Paige… say something… anything.”

[She once more just stands there, golden locks swaying in the breeze the open door is letting in. Must be a wind tunnel somewhere.]

Paige: “We’re losing control…”

[She quickly turns to him.]

Paige: “Will you turn me away or touch me deep inside? And before this gets old… will it feel the same? There’s no way this will die… But if we get much closer, I could lose control… And if your heart surrenders, you’ll need me to hold…”

[Bond gets up and the two embrace. A hug, a small kiss. Before…]

Bond/Paige: “We are young! Heartache to heartache we stand! No promises, no demands! Searchin’ our hearts for so long! …Both of us knowing… love is a battlefield!”

[Once more the two embrace, and Paige gives him a kiss on the lips. So passionate, the lights begin to flicker once more.]

Paige: “Good luck Chris… see you later tonight.”

[She flashes him a quick smile before walking out the door. Bond sits down, and regains his pose from just a few moments ago. Sitting and staring at the wall.]

sVo Hardcore Championship
ZERO GRAVITY MATCH
Joseph Equinox (c) vs. Christian Roman vs. William Vorheez

Arena goes completely black as “Ghost of Perdition” by Opeth starts to play, and once the guitar and singer kick in a small blast of pyro ignites on the stage and keeps burning as the entrance way fills up with smoke and out walks William Vorheez, red, green, and white lights flicker with the music as he slowly makes his way to the ring. He stares straight at the ring and doesn’t pay attention to the crowd as they have a mixed reaction about him. He walks up the steps and then walks half way down the ring apron and steps over the top rope as the lights come up and the music slowly fades.

Suddenly, the arena turns pitch black and and over the loudspeakers, starting off quickly, are the riffs from Protest the Hero’s “Heretics and Killers”.

They called me the man with the blood of Christ

HONESTYYYY

But tonight I drink with heathens and the finest blasphemies
In wine there’s truth but in silence there’s surrender
A screaming for the silence in stunned suspicious terror

Smoke billows at the top of the ramp, forcing people to shield their eyes from the potency.

I built a temple in my life and used God to seal the pillars
After twenty years of fighting young heretics and killers
I watch my temple fall to pieces at the first signs of oncoming weather
Fell to my knees like Jesus in the cave, knew I would die

As the smoke begins to clear, Christian pushes through the remaining shield and quickly moves towards the ring, with camera focusing on his back, littered with images of Christ and other religious icons.

But my lips could only say; I’m not your son so why have you forsaken me?
There’s a hole in my heart but it just makes me unholy
Crucified that night and I walked away with alter-egos
Like the prison priest who preaches his dead and buried gospel

[He shakes a few hands on his way down, shaking off the seeming rust as uses the stairs to climb into the ring through the ropes.

While my faith is in ruins my duty still breathes strong
I’m a parrot in a cage just saying prayers to belong to a textbook
Of my crying, lying, dying history; a textbook
Of my crying, lying, dying history; a textbook
Of my crying; a textbook
Of my lying; a textbook
Of my dying; a textbook
Of my history.

Christian hits the closest turnbuckle and raises his right arm in the air and then jumps down, bouncing off the ropes a few times.

Vorheez and Roman both stare down the ramp as “Open Your Eyes” By Guano Apes begins to play. Smoke begins to fill the chas the lights tim to near darkness. A beam of bright white light shines from the stage. As the light begins to dim, Joseph Equinox can be seen standing at the top of the stage with smoke foating all around him. Equinox moves to the top of the ramp and stops before he flails his arms out to the side of him and a pyro lightning bolt fies down and strikes him. The spotlights loom over where Equinox was standing but he is no longer there. All of a sudden 4 more lighting bolts crash down on each corner of the ring and the arena lights change to a dark blue. And there standing in the ring is Equinox with smoke now floating around the ring. Joseph Equinox then looks up the ramp and takes off his shades as he awaits the start of the match.

The bell rings, and all three men pace around, sizing each other up. Equinox quickly glances up at the Hardcore Championship dangling above the ring, before returning his attention to his opponents. Equinox suddenly lunges, striking out at Vorheez, then swinging around and chopping Roman as he tries to take advantage of Equinox having his back turned. Equinox turns back to Vorheez again, striking him and sending him onto the ropes. He tries to chop Roman again, however Roman ducks under his arm, striking Equinox with an elbow and sending him down to the mat. Vorheez comes back off the ropes, charging and connecting with a flying crossbody. Equinox and Roman are both down, and Vorheez moves to the turnbuckle. He begins to perilous climb up the steel scaffolding, reaching for the steel cables suspended above the ring. Equinox comes back to his senses and stumbles over to Vorheez, who lashes out with a savage kick that catches Equinox in the face sending him reeling back. Vorheez looks longingly up and the belt, then back down and Equinox, who is clutching his nose, and makes the decision to leap from the turnbuckle and floor Equinox again with a missile dropkick!

Both Equinox and Vorheez are down, and Roman is back on his feet across the ring. He grabs Vorheez by his mane of hair and lifts him to his feet, before whipping him into the corner. Roman runs and attempts to clothesline Vorheez, however Vorheez gets up a leg and Roman is take down with a boot to the face! Equinox is back up now, and in an instant he is all over Vorheez, both men dancing around the ring, Equinox swinging lefts and rights in a flurry of punches, before clotheslining Vorheez over the top rope. Equinox follows him to ringside, where both men begin trading blows. Back in the ring, Roman has gathered his senses, and sees both of his opponents battling on the outside of the ring. He appears to pause briefly, before charging at the ropes, flinging himself over the top rope and taking down both Equnox and Vorheez with a splash to the outside! All three men and lost in a muddle of arms, legs and curse words, and Equinox is first to detangle himself from the pile of bodies. and he rolls back into the ring.

He mounts the turnbuckle and begins the climb up the steel scaffold, lunging and managing to get a grip on the steel cables above the ring! He hangs from the cable and tries to edge his way towards the centre of the ring, where his precious Hardcore Championship is dangling. Meanwhile, Vorheez rolls back into the ring and grabs his feet, trying to tug the former Las Vegas Champion off the ropes. Equinox struggles, trying to kick Vorheez away, while Roman slinks around the ring. Roman climbs up onto the canvas, and bides his time, watching Equinox struggle against Vorheez. Equinox finally connects a kick, sending Vorheez tumbling away. As he turns his attention back to the belt dangling above the ring, Roman vaults himself up onto the top rope and uses the momentum to fly through the air, managing to connect a dropkick to the waist of Equinox. Equinox recoils and lets go of the cable, backflipping in midair and landing heavily on his back. The crowd moans in sympathy towards Equinox, who is in obvious pain from the landing.

Roman is motionless on the ground, and Vorheez makes his move, striding to the turnbuckle and effortlessly scaling the scaffold. He reaches up and grabs the steel cable, wrapping his arms and legs around it and pulling himself towards the title belt. Roman gets back to his feet and does the same, mounting the turnbuckle, climbing the scaffold and making his way across the cable. Both men meet in the centre and start trading blows, while at the same time trying to get a hold of the championship belt. Equinox, recovered from his landing, ducks to the outside of the ring, and scales the top rope in the same manner Roman did. He climbs up and flies, connecting with both men and bringing them back down to earth with a double bulldog!

All three men are motionless once again, however Equinox is soon back on his feet and attempting to climb the scaffold. Vorheez and Roman both get back up, Vorheez whipping Roman onto the ropes and catching him with a sidewalk slam on the rebound. Vorheez pursues Equinox up the scaffold, attempting to pull him off. Equinox pulls himself up onto the top of the scaffold, and dares Vorheez to follow him. Vorheex strikes at Equinox, and Equinox nearly loses his balence, and Vorheez strikes again, stunning the Hardcore Champion for a moment. Vorheex pulls Equinox down and perches him on his shoulder, in a firemans carry pose. Vorheez roars aloud and tilts forward, jumping from the top of the scaffold connecting with a rolling fireman’s carry slam when he hits the mat! The crowd “oooos!” in appreciation of the move, however both men are motionless in the ring following the move.

Roman stumbles to his feet, and rolls out of the ring. He fetches a steel chair from under the ring, rolls back in and sets it up. The crowd wonders what he is doing, and it soon becomes apparant as Roman climbs up onto the chair and tries to reach the belt. It dangles far out of his reach, and he abandones that plan, opting to simply walk to the corner and climb the scaffold. He lunges and gets a hold on the steel cable, dangling down. Below him, Vorheez and Equinox are back up and raging battle, and Vorheez whips Equinox onto the ropes and catches him in a flapjack manouvre, hoisting him up high in the air. At the very instant Equinox is lifted into the air Roman finally makes it the the centre of the ring and is furiously trying to seize the belt. Equinox wraps him arms around the waist of Roman and brings him back down to the canvas with him, utilising a spinebuster!

All three men are back down again, exhausted. They get back up, and stare each other down wearily, almost a respect for each other shown in their faces. Roman and Vorheez turn to face each other and begin to exchange strikes, while Equinox wisely abandons getting involved and begins another climb up the scaffold. Vorheez and Roman soon abandon their struggle and pursue the reigning champion, who by this time is already dangling from the cabe and making his way towards the coveted belt. Vorheez climbs up the same scaffold as Equinox, while Roman climbs up on the one opposite. They both successfully navigate their way up the scaffolds and onto the cables, where they begin to climb across. Equinox is already in the centre, fumbling with the belt.

Vorheez makes his way across, and attempts to hit Equinox from behind. Equinox counters with an elbow, and Vorheez attempts to strike him again. Equinox manages to wrap his arm around the neck of Vorheez and the crowd screams in anticipation. Both men suddenly fall from the cables, but the the fall appears to be in Equinox’s favour as he hits his Digital Code finisher on Vorheez; fifteen feet in the air! Both men are lying motionless in the ring, and Roman can’t seem to believe his luck and he tries to wrestle the belt free. Equinox and Vorheez are still motionless as Roman finally frees the belt!

The match is over people, and we have a new Hardcore Champion! Roman drops down to the ring and lands on his feet, hugging the Hardcore Championship. Equinox struggles to his feet, and offers a handshake to the new champion. Here is the passing of the torch, Roman accepts, and the two men shake! Roman rolls out of the ring and walks back up the ramp, still clutching the Hardcore Champion, victor of the first-ever Zero Gravity Match!

RESULT: Christian Roman def. Joseph Equinox & William Vorheez

Home Sweet Home

All of a sudden “Grillz” By Nelly Featuring Paul Wall hit’s over the pa system. “Hollywood” Howie Banks steps out from the back and makes his way out towards the ring with a microphone on and an orange jump suit on as well as he was just released from Mexican jail in Mexico. As he makes his way into the ring the fans are cheering here in Toronto, Canada as the fellow Canadian himself is back on his homeland. Howie looks about ready to speak as the fans listen in and he breaks the ice.

Banks – “Before I go on about the situation that occurred down south, well, let me just say one thing…”

Hollywood looks all around him and then shouts over the microphone.

Banks – “It’s f*cking awesome to be back home!”

The fans begin to clap and cheer for Howie who continues speaking.

Banks – “Those mexicans down there couldn’t hold me down!”

Howie begins to laugh hysterically.

Banks – “There is no way in hell I would of missed this sVo tour stop here in the greatest country in the world – Canada!”

Howie shakes his head as he leans against the ropes.

Banks – “But I must tell you…”

He pauses.

Banks – “Being in jail for as long as I was, it actually changed me.”

The fans scream out ‘WHAT’ as they can’t believe what he just said.

Banks – “But in a good way.”

He smiles.

Banks – “In a way that has made me realize how important my job is. How good it feels to be in front of all of you people here.”

He goes walking around the ring, pacing back and forth.

Banks – “Now I know some people are wondering exactly what it is I did and I’ll tell you what happened.”

Howie takes a deep breath and comes clean…

Banks – “They arrested me because they believe I was involved with a crime I did not committ. Now I may have paid a lot of money for bail, and we all know the reason I got bail is because I am Hollywood, nuff said. But what I am trying to say is, I was framed by two men who are actually apart of the sVo. Two men who decided it was best to get me in sh*t and take a fall for a crime they committed. Well, they are here tonight, so how about you both come on out here and explain to me why you did what you did.”

Howie signals for them to come on out as he is waving them to come on down to the ring.

Banks – “Oh wait, that’s right, they were arrested earlier tonight. No wonder why they aren’t coming out here.”

Howie scratches his head.

Banks – “But if you really want to know who I am talking about. Well, it’s Thompo and Zentarous of High Voltage!”

He nods.

Banks – “That’s right. My own brother and his best friend murdered a former sVo wrestler by the name of … you know who…”

Howie shakes his head.

Banks – “Michael Diaz!”

The fans are shocked, they can’t believe this whole story that is going down.

Banks – “The martial artist from Japan!”

Howie seems saddened.

Banks – “That’s why, at this very moment, I ask for all of you in the audience to take a minute of silence for the now deceased and missed, Michael Diaz.”

Everyone bows their heads as there is pure silence in the building.

SUBMISSION MATCH
Cody Williams vs. Nathan Paradine

The house lights slowly dim, synched to the sound of a THX surround sound test causing the jam packed audience of the Air Canada Centre to erupt. The sounds of “Israel’s Son” by Silverchair blares on the arena’s sound system as gold lights wander around the arena. A strobe light flickers at the top of the entranceway while the entrance begins to fog up. Cody Williams can be seen rising up from the top of the ramp by way of lift, a long black and gold cloak draped over his shoulders. Once the lift comes to a halt he throws his arms up into the air to an eruption of pyrotechnics, followed by fireworks going off around the perimeter of the stadium.

Hate is what I feel for you
And I want you to know that I want you dead
You’re late for the execution
If you’re not here soon
I’ll kill your friend instead

He makes his way down the entrance ramp, pounding his chest and pointing out to the crowd as they continue to drown the stadium with cheers. He slides into the ring and rushes to the nearest corner and stands on the second turnbuckle leaning over, repeatedly pounding his chest and raising his arms in the air. He hops off and heads over to the opposite corner and does the same, sliding the cloak ff his shoulders and letting it fall to the ground in a silky heap while he stares down the ramp waiting for his opponent.

“Electric Tears” by Buckethead begins to play over the PA’s, as the lights dim to a misty green colour. Nathan Paradine slowly walks from backstage, arms held out wide, slowly striding down the ramp, locking eyes with Cody Williams and never daring to look away. He climbs into the ring via the steel stars and slowly takes off his shades, carefully folding them up and throwing them into the crowd. He shakes his head at Cody and backs away into the corner.

The ref calls for the bell, and the crowd cheers as the match gets underway!

Cody and Paradine move towards each other, Paradine catching Cody off-guard with an open-handed slap. Cody staggers back, clutching the side of his face. Paradine moves him, attempting to seize Cody, but Cody fends him off with a hard right hand that sends “The Greatest Submission Artist on Earth” down to the mat! Paradine is back on his feet quickly, and the two men hunch over, circling around the ring. They both move, and lock up in the centre of the ring, wrenching each others shoulders and trying to get the advantage. Paradine picks Cody up by his shoulders and spins him around, forcing him back into the corner. Referee Mike O’Shea stands by, but can do nothing as DQ isn’t a stipulation of this match, it will only end when one man has been forced to tap out!

Paradine gets in a few strikes to Cody in the corner, but Williams manages to fight his opponent off and shove him away. They both lock up again in the centre, Paradine ducks behind Cody and attempts to hit a German suplex, however Cody reverses the suplex and hits the move on Paradine instead! Paradine is flat on the mat, trying to recover his senses, and Cody grabs his rival’s arm and applies a painful half-nelson armlock on the mat! Paradine grunts in anger, and stretches to try and reach the rope. He bangs his fist against the mat, shaking his head and refusing to tap out. Paradine buckles under Cody, barely managing to break the hold, and climbs to his feet. Cody backs off and leans against the ropes for a moment, getting a breather.

Both men run at each other, attempting clotheslines. They both connect, successfully knocking each other down. They drag themselves up once again, Cody up on his feet first. Cody trys to grab Paradine on the mat, but Nathan has other ideas as he viciously kicks out at Cody’s knee, allowing the former International Champion to let out a dull roar of fury. Cody aims several vicious kicks at Paradine, all of them connecting. Cody drops to his knees and attempts to apply a headlock, however Paradine elbows him away and gets back on his feet. Cody attempts to hit another clothesline, however Paradine ducks under his outstretched arm and drags him down to the mat, applying a crossface hold. Cody struggles against the move, and Paradine roughly chops him in the side of the head until he locks his arm between his legs. He wrenches his head back, and Cody holds out his arm, as Paradine screams at him to tap out.

Cody uses his free arm to lift himself up off the mat, managing to get his knees underneath him. He reaches out again for the ropes, this time managing to wrap his fist around the middle rope. Paradine breaks the hold and stands up, driving a kick into the small of Cody’s back as he does so. Cody arches backwards in pain, and staggers to his feet. Paradine takes a few steps back and contemplates his enemy, sizing him up. Cody does the same, and they both move towards the centre of the ring to lock up again. Paradine moves to lock up, but Cody pulls one on his opponent, landing a hard kick to the midsection that makes Paradine kneel over. Cody hoists him up and hits a brainbuster, before hooking Paradine’s arms and rolling backwards, executing a perfect bridging arm triangle choke, leaving Paradine gasping for breath in the centre of the ring! Could this be the end of the match already!?

Paradine balls his fist and begins flailing wildly, striking the upper body of Cody Williams with surprising accuracy for a man who can’t even see his opponent. One blow finds its mark, hitting Cody directly in the throat. Cody releases the hold, clutching his windpipe, and Paradine gets back to his feet. He tries to grab Cody by the hair, but Cody jabs a low blow that sends him reeling. Cody with an uppercut from the mat that sends Paradine reeling back, and the “Reflection of Perfection” is back on his feet again! Cody with the rights hands, sending Paradine onto the ropes, before another kick to the midsection! Cody grabs a hunched over Paradine and the crowds roars approval as he hits a trademark move, the Pure Perfection, also know as a sitout double underhook facebuster! Paradine is motionless on the mat, and if this was any other match Cody would have secured victory with that move. But it’s not an ordinary match, its a Submission match, and Cody still has a score to settle!

Cody is on his hands and knees, panting with exhaustion from his last manoeuvre. As he tries to climb up, Paradine around of nowhere latches onto his leg and applies an ankle lock submission, however the mover is ill-attempted as Cody kicks out of it almost instantly, throwing Nathan off balance. Cody is back on his feet, but Paradine comes back with a right hook, stunning Cody, before running at the ropes and hitting a bulldog. Paradine remains on his hands and knees on the matt, spinning around and delivering several stiff knees to the face and shoulders of Cody.

Cody rolls away, while Paradine climbs back to his feet grinning. Paradine tries to rush Cody, however Cody stops that with a well-timed shoulder block. Cody bends down to try and pick Paradine up, but like lightning Paradine wraps his legs around Cody’s neck, applying a gogoplata chokehold, considered illegal in many wrestling companies. But this isn’t just any ordinary company, this is the Sanctioned Violence Organization! Cody flails wildly, and Paradine simply applies more pressure. Cody threatens to tap out, however Paradine abruptly releases the hold. Cody rolls away, spitting blood out onto the mat. Paradine kneels down next to him and backhands him.

“Do you know what you’ve done!?” Paradine shouts, repeatedly slapping Cody. “I’ll break you!”

Paradine picks Cody up, hooking both of his arms and successfully planting Cody with a piledriver. He applies a rough headlock on the mat, but breaks it early. He picks Cody pack up, but Cody rakes his fingers across Nathan’s face. Paradine clutches his eyes, and Cody lifts him up onto his shoulders. Here it comes… Perfectly Executed! But wait, Cody isn’t done yet… As Paradine lies motionless on the mat, Cody follows up with a high arched moonsault! The crowd cheers the move, and even Cody looks a little stunned from the impact, never mind Paradine, who is unmoving in the centre of the ring. Cody gets back up and drives a kick into Paradine, before lifting him back up and whipping him to the outside. Paradine sprawls over the top rope and lands awkwardly on the outside, fans pelting him with garbage.

Cody runs at the ropes, and the crowd pauses from throwing scraps at Paradine to scream in approval of a huge suicide dive over the top rope, however Paradine recovers enough of his senses to roll away, leaving Cody to crash and burn. Seconds pass, and both men are still showing minimal signs of life. They both climb back up simultaneously, and begin to trade closed fists, until a blow splits Paradine’s lip open. Paradine staggers back, and Cody floors him with a clothesline. While Paradine is on the ground Cody rolls him over and applies the Broken Perfection sleeper hold, leaving Paradine gasping for breath! Paradine closes his eyes and taps out in the hold, and this match is over! Or, it would be, but you have to be in the ring for the submission to count. With a growl of frustration Cody releases the hold and rolls Paradine back into the ring. Paradine climbs to his feet, and as Cody charges at him ducks and hits a low shoulder block.

Cody is hunched over, clutching his gut from the block by Paradine. You can almost see the gleam in Paradine’s eyes and he grabs Cody and places his head between his legs. There is a collective cry from the fans as Nathan lifts Cody up for a powerbomb… but releases the move when Cody is halfway up, dropping him straight down onto his neck; again! As Cody hits the mat he lets out a cry of pain, and remains unmoving. The ref intervenes, ordering Paradine back into the corner while he checks on Cody. He spends a moment examining the former champ, the holds up his arms in a “X” motion. It is official, ladies and gentlemen. Cody Williams is injured! Paradine suddenly lunges forward, pushing O’Shea out of the way. He grabs Cody around the neck and applies a deadly dragon clutch sleeper hold, a move Cody himself is famous for!

Cody is unmoving, passed out in the hold, and the ref is calling for the bell! We have a no-contest here folks, due to injury. The ref orders Paradine to release the hold but he refuses, even daring to tighten his grip. Security and a flood of EMT’s race from backstage, accompanied by Cody’s wife Sasha who is hysterical. Paradine releases the hold and backs away as sVo security steps into the ring, holding up his arms in a peace offering. The EMT’s examine Cody for a moment before lifting him onto a stretcher. Sasha turns to Paradine and screams at him, asking him if he knows what he has done.

“You’ve killed him, you monster!” she screams.

Paradine just shakes his head unapologetically. Sasha attempts to run at Paradine but is restrained by security, and she turns sobbing to escort the EMT’s carrying Cody to the back. Security follows as well, and the ref orders Paradine from the ring. What will happen now? Tune in to Showdown to find out the next chapter of this red-hot rivalry!

RESULT: No Contest

Count The Shadows

Backstage Paige is making her way back to her office, smiling to herself after her earlier encounter with Chris Bond whose match is up next. As Paige enters her office and sits comfortably down into the large leather chair that is positioned behind her desk, she flicks on the large TV at the other end of the room with a click from the remote control. Settling down to watch the three way International title match which Bond will himself be competing in, Paige looks contented…. That is until the lights begin to flicker.

Remembering her encounter from a few weeks ago Paige leaps to her feet with a look of terror on her face before the lights go completely dark. Paige begins to scream out loudly, until a hand appears from behind the sVo president and is placed over her mouth to muffle the screams. Paige tries to twist and turn away, however the man’s grip is far to tight on her as just like last time the mysterious figure lowers their head down to whisper in Paige’s ear. Paige is now frozen in terror as she clenches her eyes shut despite the darkness.

“Don’t scream Paige.”

Paige’s initial feeling of terror begins to fade as she recognises the familiar voice that is whispering in her ear. It is a different voice from her experience weeks ago, she recognises this one as a voice she has been hearing all her life. The figure removes their hand from Paige’s face and she spins around to face them, still in deep darkness.

“Is that you Jon?”

Standing in front of Paige is her uncle Jon Page, the owner of the sVo who has been on the run from the police ever since escaping from prison over a month ago after being arrested two months ago. Feelings of anger and confusion sweep over the sVo President as she stands looking up at the shadowy figure of her uncle.

“Keep your voice down, don’t draw any attention, I haven’t much time.”

Jon Page’s response seems tired and sharp, but Paige complies silently.

“Paige you are in danger, but not just you, the whole of the sVo is.”

Jon Page pauses as he tries to make eye contact with his niece through the darkness.

“Danger? But from who?”

Jon Page places his hand over the mouth of Paige to stop her speaking as he whispers quietly in her ear.

“You are in danger from the organization. I haven’t much time to warn you, they are watching you.”

Paige nods her head to signal that she understands, despite having no clue of what is going on.

“What can I do then?”

Paige asks in a whisper, a hint of fear is easily detectable in her voice.

“There isn’t much you can do. They are all around you, anyone could be one of them. I am working to try and fix this, but I can’t stay here and protect you.”

Jon Page sounds nervous in his voice as he is interrupted by his niece.

“What will I do then?”

The answer is not forthcoming as Jon Page seems to stop and think about the question.”

“Just beware of the shadows…..”

Paige nods, but as she does the door to her office behind bursts open and the lights flicker back on to life. Paige spins around to face the door and is faced by a large suited man.

“Everything ok in here?”

The man peers through a pair of sunglasses as he asks the question. Paige spins around to see if Jon Page is still standing behind her, but there is no sign of her uncle. Turning back around to face the man, Paige slowly answers.

“Everything…. Everything is fine. Who are you?”

Paige takes a step forward to take a good look at the man standing in her doorway, the advice of her uncle still ringing in her ears.

“Mr name is Mr Morrison. Nice to meet you Paige.”

Paige stares at the man, trying to work him out as Mr Morrison smirks back at her, before backing out of the office, leaving the sVo President alone as the TV plays in the background.

sVo International Championship
TRIPLE THREAT MATCH
Night (c) vs. Chris Bond vs. ‘The Preacher’ Billy Jacobs

Suddenly the lights in the arena go out, and the V-Tron begins to flicker. As quickly as it came alive, the giant screen goes black again. The mysterious singing voice of a lone choirboy comes over the PA system as “Destiny” by Stratovarius begins to play. After a short time, more voices join in the singing, and a brilliant white light coming from the now active V-Tron illuminates the arena. Through the bright light, Billy Jacobs’ silhouette can be seen onstage. His head is bowed as if in prayer, but soon lifts up slowly. He scans the crowd as he makes his way to the top of the ramp.

As Jacobs makes his way down to the ring, the crowd gives him a mixed reaction. When he reaches the ring, the light from the V-Tron fades, and the lights in the arena return to normal. He slowly walks up the ring stairs, and climbs in between the ropes. Once in the ring, Jacobs goes to the corner, crouches down, and says a prayer to himself as he waits for the match to start.

“If you take a life, do you know what you’ll give…
Odds are, you won’t like what it is…
When the storm arrives, would you be seen with me…
By the merciless eyes I’ve deceived…
I’ve seen angels fall from blinding heights…
But you yourself are nothing so divine…
Just next in line…”

The lights dim from the piercing bright lights to an empty dark black. A single spotlight shines on the entrance ramp. Quickly it searches the entrance area, only to find nothing. Suddenly, a sheet of glass shoots up from the floor of the arena. The spotlight shines directly on the glass, and the characters ‘009’ appear quickly before fading away.

“Arm yourself because no-one else here will save you…
The odds will betray you…
And I will replace you…
You can’t deny the prize; it may never fulfill you…
It longs to kill you…
Are you willing to die…

The coldest blood runs through my veins…
You know my name…”

For a moment there is silence, the spotlight shines on the plain sheet of darkly colored glass. Suddenly, a laser light points on the glass. Everyone expects the glass to cut out a sillhouette for the resident Secret Agent to step out from. Instead, a kick from a black boot sends the glass shattering, and out steps Chris Bond. The lights quickly shoot back on. The crowd is up in arms, cheering for their favorite spy. The smirk that is known around the world as being an interesting blend of cockiness and suaveness sits perched across the face of Bond. He begins to make his way to the ring. His eyes are locked on the squared circle, as if he holds a personal vendetta against the wrestling ring that has made him famous world around. He quickly steps up the ring stairs and slides through the ropes in a smooth, cocky manner. Staring out into the crowd, his smirk has disappeared and he looks around. Camera flashes go off without a hitch and the smirk reappears.

Bond begins to circle the ring, pacing himself and readying his psyche for the upcoming challenge. Jumping in place, he breathes in and out. Across the ring, Billy Jacobs stands, meeting the eyes of Chris Bond. Neither man breaks the stare until Bond quickly bends down to get a few extra stretches in as ‘You Know My Name’ performed by Chris Cornell begins to die down. The lights pop back to normalcy as the crowd continues to cheer for their favorite ‘double-oh’.

A whisper…

“I’m dreaming…”

The distant chords of Deftones’ “Knife Party” cut through the PA as the arena lights cut completely. The Tron sparks to life as the words “I’m dreaming…” float onto it. As the song erupts the words are replaced by one. A name.

” N I G H T “

An explosion of purple light as a man in a black mask appears. At least, the mask appears black at first, but on closer inspection it appears to be made of the night sky. The mask does not entirely cover the man’s head and a head of big, black, spiky hair, which extends down to the man’s chin and traces his jaw – the glimmering gold of the sVo International Championship strapped proudly around his waist.

The man stands at the top of the entrance ramp – motionless for a moment, his stance elegant and mysterious, giving away nothing of his motives. As the music swirls away, the man only known as Night begins his walk to the ring – only, he doesn’t walk; it appears more of a graceful glide. Although he moves seamlessly, he moves deceptively quickly to the ring, sliding deliberately and headfirst into the ring. He immediately stands and removes the International Title, handing it to the referee as he stands very still, staring at first Jacobs, then Bond.

The referee meanwhile holds up the sVo International Championship, indicating it is on the line. The crowd cheer for the title defense as the referee calls for the bell, signifying the start of the match.

Night drops into a defensive stance as Bond and Jacobs eye each other and the masked champion eagerly. Both men keen to taste their first sVo gold, they simultaneously charge at each other, exchanging rights and left right off the bell. Not one to be left out of the action, Night wastes little time in leaping into the fray, connecting with a solid right hand to the side of Bond’s head and receiving a hard right cross from The Preacher. The International Champion stumbles backwards as Bond lunges with a short arm clothesline at Jacobs. Billy ducks underneath it and Bond is forced to throw on the brakes. 009 turns on his heel and again lunges at Jacobs with a clothesline. Again Jacobs ducks underneath, but Bond inadvertently takes out Night. Bond has no chance to follow this up however as he is grasped around the waist by Billy Jacobs who hoists him up and over with a big German suplex! 009 clutches at the back of his head as Jacobs closes in on the downed Night and stomps hard on the back of his head.

On the mat, Night recoils from Jacobs hard stomp. Not relenting at all, Jacobs leaps into the air and drops a hard knee across the back of Night’s ribs. The Masked man flips onto his back, protecting his ribs and receives a boot to the chest. The Preacher pulls Night to his feet and whips him to the ropes. Night hits the ropes and bounces off them, on his return he is tripped to the mat by a Billy Jacobs drop-toe-hold, Jacobs following up by flowing straight into a single-leg Boston crab.

Night struggles to break from the hold, but Jacobs has it locked in tightly. The masked man begins to struggle towards the ropes, the pain on his face is evident, but he is still fresh and makes quick progress. He is given an almost immediate assist, however, as Chris Bond rushes at Jacobs, grabbing his head in a front-facelock and dropping him face first into the mat with a quick DDT! Jacobs bounces off the mat and 009 turns his attention to Night. He stomps twice on Night’s knee, still slightly tender from Jacobs brief, but painful single-leg Boston crab before dropping down and locking Night’s leg in a kneebar with a leg-scissors!

Pulling back with all of his strength, Chris Bond wrenches the knee of Night. The masked man cries out in pain as once again he finds himself crawling towards the ropes. Already relatively close to the ropes from his earlier struggle, Night reaches out an arm, outstretching his fingers towards the bottom rope – and again he receives a large assist in the form of a dropkick to the face from Jacobs. The force of the kick forces Bond to release his grip on Night’s leg; the International Champion wastes no time in beginning to crawl away from further danger for the time being. Jacobs focuses his attention on Chris Bond, seeking revenge for his DDT. Pulling Bond to his feet he dazes him with a left European uppercut before following straight back in with a right haymaker uppercut.

Bond’s knees buckle and he stumbles backwards, bouncing on the ropes and resting there a moment. His temporary daze is enough opportunity for Jacobs to grab hold of 009 and slam him overhead with an exploder suplex! Bond seems dazed and Jacobs stands, again turning his attention back to the downed International Champion.

Billy Jacobs stomps hard on Night’s knee, before pulling him to his feet. As Night reaches a kneel however, he fires a hard right hand into Jacobs’ midsection. The Preacher seems winded, but fights through it and further dazed Night with a hard left knee to the side of his masked face. Bringing Night to a stand, Jacobs is stunned by another hard right from Night, this one connecting with Jacobs’ face. Night follows up with a left before backing up Billy with a spinning heel kick. The International Champion hits the ropes, leaping over Jacobs on his return as The Preacher drops to the mat. Night hits the far ropes and Jacobs springs to his feet. As Night returns this time, Jacobs is waiting for him and takes him over and to the mat with a big powerslam! He hooks the leg for the cover.

ONE!

Night kicks out at one and Jacobs wastes no time in hitting him with a strong left hand. Jacobs winds up with a right, but is stopped by a hand on his shoulder. He turns to find himself face to face with a very focused looking 009.

Billy stands, stepping aggressively towards Bond who stands his ground. Jacobs shoves Bond who retaliates by lunging forward and throwing his arm towards Billy with a short-arm clothesline. This one connects with its intended target and Billy is sent flying end over end. Still relatively fresh in the match, he recovers quickly, standing almost immediately back up – only to be caught by Chris Bond and sent crashing back to the mat with a side Russian legsweep. Bond drops a knee across the face of Jacobs, before pulling him back to his feet. Both once again on their feet, Bond wraps his arms around Jacobs’ waist and wrenches backwards, throwing The Preacher over his head with a belly-to-belly suplex. Bond scrambles on top of Jacobs and hooks his leg for the pin!

Jacobs kicks out before two and again Bond stands, and pulls Jacobs up by the hair. Billy Jacobs rises to a crawl and unsteadily onto his feet. Feeling the importance of this match, he catches 009 by surprise with a lightning fast headbutt. Bond backs up a couple of steps, giving Jacobs enough space and enough time to clear his head – Jacobs nailing bond with a big haymaker uppercut. Billy quickly boots Bond in the midsection, grabbing hold of his head and DDTing him into the mat, before rolling through and hooking Bond’s leg for the pin!

ONE!

TWO!

009 kicks out at two and manages to sit up. Jacobs stands and brings Chris up with him, before grabbing hold of him and hoisting him vertically; in position for a stalling suplex. However, perched on the nearest turnbuckle is a slightly ginger, but largely recovered Night. Jacobs turns to face Night and his eyes display alarm as he catches sight of the International Champion. Night leaps off the top turnbuckle towards the two men, kicking his feet out in front of him and driving one foot into Jacobs’ face and one foot into Bond’s chest. The impact of the kick topples Jacobs’ balance and he falls to the mat, slamming Bond down in the process. The crowd pop loudly for the inadvertent double-team move which has left all three men down on the mat.

Still favoring his knee slightly, Night retreats to the corner, using the ropes to pull himself off the mat. Meanwhile Jacobs has managed to crawl and unsteadily takes a knee. Bond too is quickly finding his own feet despite having taken a lot of offence. Night makes the first move and starts towards a now standing Jacobs. Jacobs swings at Night, but the masked man ducks under the shot and spins around before nailing The Preacher with a spinning backfist. Jacobs stumbles backwards and Night charges at him, leaping into the air and twisting, driving a leg into his face with a jumping leg lariat. Billy hits the mat and Night turns away from Jacobs, jumping and flipping backwards, twisting in the air and landing on Jacobs with a corkscrew moonsault, hooking The Preacher’s leg for the pin.

ONE!

TWO!

Jacobs kicks out at two, but as he does, Chris Bond dazes Night with a legdrop across the back of his head. Night fights to his feet, Bond hammering him with fists the whole way. Once on his feet, Night manages to block one of Bond’s punches, firing back with an open palm slap to the chest. Again Bond throws a left hand at Night, but is surprised as Night catches his arm, wrestling it into an armbar before placing his free arm under Bond’s trapped arm and grabbing 009’s jaw in a nerve pinch.

Chris Bond struggles, but Night’s armbar keeps him locked in place that and the nerve hold inflicting a lot of pain on our favorite secret agent. Bond’s free arm flails around wildly as he outstretches it towards the nearest ropes. He begins to move towards them, dragging the champion with him as he does.

With a desperate lunge, Bond manages to grab hold of the top rope, forcing Night to drop the hold. Night drops the hold, however he is caught unaware by Jacobs, who locks an arm across the chest of Night, lifting him and slamming him across his knee! KNEEL AND PRAY! He covers!

ONE!

TWO!

Bond breaks up the pin with a dropkick to the head of Jacobs. Pulling The Preacher to his feet, Bond proceeds to send him crashing straight back to the mat with a Cobra Clutch suplex. Jacobs lands hard and Bond hurriedly rolls him under the bottom rope and out of the ring before dragging Night into the centre of the ring and pinning him!

Night manages a late kick out, Bond can’t believe how close he just came to becoming International Champion. He wastes no time in pulling Night back into a standing position, but is caught by surprise as Jacobs slides back into the ring, spinning Jacobs to face him and folding him into a standing headscissors, before lifting and slamming him to the mat in a quick powerbomb. Jacobs then proceeds to stand and boot Night, who had been slumped on the ropes, in the midsection before planting him with a flowing DDT before rushing over and covering 009.

THREE–

This time it is Bond who manages a late kick out and Jacobs throws back his head in frustration, covering his face in his hands. However, his frustration is enough distraction to allow a groggy Night to stagger onto his feet and charge towards Jacobs, flipping forwards and driving both of his feet into The Preacher’s chest with a somersault front dropkick. Night springs back to his feet, purely out of adrenaline and heads straight for the top turnbuckle, immediately leaping off and twisting in midair before driving his fist into Bond’s face – Kimura Fistrop! Night covers!

ONE!

TWO!

TH–

Bond kicks out at two. Night sits, exhausted as Jacobs crawls himself into a corner to recuperate. 009 rolls about on the mat, reeling from the fistdrop and the previous damage suffered in the match.

Slowly, the masked champion makes his way to his feet. Once there, he takes a moment to try to regain his balance before turning his attention back to Chris Bond. He pulls Bond to his feet, but 009 still has fight left in him and shoves Night backwards, before charging in at him. However, Night trips on his way back and he falls flat to the mat causing Bond to sail over him and instead crash hard into The Preacher – sending both men through the middle and top ropes and to the outside of the ring. Both seem dazed, but undoubtedly remembering the stakes of this match, both quickly begin to stir.

Back in the ring, Night wearily stands and slowly looks around the ring, scanning it for his opponents. Spotting them climbing back to their feet outside the ring Night doesn’t think twice as he heads straight up the turnbuckle where he stands, perched above both of his opponents, waiting.

Unaware of the impending danger from above, Billy Jacobs and Chris Bond fight their way to their feet outside the ring. Once there they each throw sloppy punches towards each other, some missing, some connecting.

With no hesitation, Night leaps off the top rope, flipping backwards and falling forwards with a HUGE shooting star press taking out both men but causing Night to land hard on the arena floor. The crowd erupt for the move and many clamor to see the three down and out on the lightly padded concrete.

These cheers quickly turn to boos and cries of confusion as the light suddenly extinguish.

Static can be periodically heard.

A shriek from a female fan.

An obscene chant from somewhere in the cheap seats.

The sound of several dozen technical crew members scurrying to find out why the light just died.

What seems like an eternity of unexplained and unbroken darkness.

And then, just as quickly as it came… it went away. As the arena is once again bathed in light a very different visual remains in place of what we were just left with. Billy Jacobs, Night and Chris Bond are no longer all sprawled near unconscious outside the ring. Now, Chris Bond and Billy Jacobs are no where to be seen. Night meanwhile lies flat on his back, out cold in the middle of the ring.

Over him stands the lone figure of Kaden Alonzo, who holds the International Championship high above his head. The crowd don’t seem to appreciate the match being interrupted and let their feelings be known.

His point made for now, Kaden drops the title roughly on Night’s face before turning and making his way out of the ring and up the entrance ramp.

Do You Want to be Somebody?

The sVo cameras head the parking lot of the Air Canada Centre where Drew Carrig is loading his bags into his rental car. Carrig has a look of disappointment on his face about managing to last so long in the Las Vegas Championship battle royal match earlier tonight but unfortunately getting eliminated before Frank James managed to pick up the belt. Carrig climbs into the drivers seat of the car, but before he can pull away Anthony Moretti and Zero step out in front of the car. Drew Carrig looks surprised at first, before jumping out of the car to see what is going on.

Drew Carrig – “What are you doing? I could have ran you both over.”

Anthony Moretti – “We had to make sure that we caught you before you left tonight. We have a little proposal for you.”

Drew Carrig stares at Zero and Anthony Moretti, who smile back at him.

Drew Carrig – “Go on.”

Zero – “How would you like to make a big impact over the next few weeks. Maybe with a couple of old friends??”

Anthony Moretti – “I have been watching you for weeks Drew, you’re a great wrestler…. But Paige is holding you down here in the sVo.”

Drew Carrig ponders what Moretti and Zero are saying.

Drew Carrig – “Are you talking about Bad Religion here?”

Anthony Moretti nods his head.

Anthony Moretti – “You’re a smart guy Drew. We don’t need an answer tonight, but we do need to know where you stand by Showdown. Do you want to be someone, or do you want to continue to get screwed over week after week by incompetent management?”

Anthony Moretti winks at Drew Carrig, before Moretti and Zero leave the scene of the car park. Drew Carrig climbs back into his car and starts the engine whilst thinking over Anthony Moretti’s offer.

sVo Championship
FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE MATCH
Psyko Stevo (c) vs. Alex Ross

After a moment of silence from the crowd, “Breaking The Law” by Judas Priest blasts through the PA system. The lights dim and at the entranceway a spotlight shines gold through fog. Alex Ross, in a gold suit with white pinstripes, emerges from the curtain and raises his right arm into the air. He makes his way down the isle and climbs the ring stairs. Once through the ropes, Ross steps up to the top rope and taunts the crowd. He hops down and slips his jacket off, tossing it ringside.

Alex Ross looks out across the crowd, as even he, awaits the arrival of his opponent, current reigning sVo Champion, and most loved superstar in the business today, Psyko Stevo!

“Sensation washes over me
I can’t describe it
Pain I felt so long ago
I don’t remember
Tear a hole so I can see
My devastation
Feelings from so long ago
I don’t remember”

“Remember” by Disturbed hits the sound system and the anticipation in the arena grows as a flash of pyros welcomes the arrival of ‘the best around’ Psyko Stevo in the sVo entrance ramp! Stevo raises his hands in the air to taunt the fans before slowly making his way down the steel ramp towards the ring. Halfway down the ramp Stevo stops and poses once again for the fans, with another burst of golden pyros firing up into the air behind him as he does. ‘The Ironman’ then slides into the ring and bounces on the second rope to once again signal to the crowd, before retreating to the corner of the ring for some last minute warm ups before the match gets underway.

Stevo stands in the ring, as the fans cheer in approval, as the sold out crowd is all standing. Stevo takes off the sVo Championship, and mounts the middle rope. Slowly, he raises it some, pauses, looks at the belt, and kisses the center plate. He then raises it the rest of the way up, showcasing it to the live crowd before him. He jumps off the ropes, and hands it to the referee, who folds it nice and neat, and shows it to Alex.

Alex takes the belt, and screams, “Stevo, this is how a real champion showcases a title to his fans!” at Stevo! He climbs up the turnbuckles, and using both hands, slowly lifts the title over his head, showing a wide range of fans the sVo title as if it was his. The crowd quickly and loudly boos Alex Ross off the ropes, as he tosses the belt to the referee and screams at the front row, an old fat woman, “Sit down lard ass, and shut the hell up!” The referee hands the belt off to the time keeper, as he checks both me to see if they are ready. Double nods, and we are set to get this thing started!

!DING!

!DING!

Both men circle the ring, as they step in…Locking up in a collar and elbow tie up. Battling back and forth, struggling for a strength advantage. Stevo finally manages to grasp the head of the challenger into a headlock. Ross throws up an arm trying to relieve some of the pressure, but Stevo just grinds the headlock in. Challenger manages to back Stevo up into the ropes, giving him two stuff elbows to the stomach region of the champion, as he shoots him off into the ropes. Stevo hits the ropes, and on the return, Ross slaps on a sleeper hold…

Stevo struggles to keep the oxygen flowing to his brain as he needs it. He fights, tossing his legs and arms towards the ropes, refusing to let the move get fully locked. The referee checks in, making sure the move is not an illegal choke, as Stevo stumbles forward, getting a few feet from the ropes. Ross screams to the crowd, “He’s going to sleep now!” The fans are cheering on, “STEVO” CLAP CLAP CLAP, “STEVO!” As the champion looks to be losing his steam. Ross gets a little at ease, as Stevo starts to lose the movement in his body of a worm. With the fans cheering, Stevo gives one more effort, as he flings himself forward. Stevo hits right at the bottom rope, and Ross flings to the outside through the middle and top ropes.

Ross hits hard on the floor, as Stevo catches his breath, with his right arm draped over the bottom rope, looking at his challenger barely moving any of his body on the outside.

Stevo, rolls under the bottom rope, as he stands up reaching the floor near the head of Alex Ross. A fan at ringside has a sign that reads, “Ross Next sVo Champion!” as the two men beside him have Stevo Destiny shirts on. Stevo points to one of the two, who grabs their folded metal chair, and holds it just in front of the security rail. Stevo lifts up his challenger, and props him against the apron. Stevo drives in a hard chop to the right pectoral, as Ross grabs his chest from the painful shot, Stevo grabs the long hair, and pulls him over to the fan, slamming Ross’s head into the metal folding chair. Ross stumbles back a few steps, and falls to the floor. Stevo covers him, hooking a leg, the referee checks the challenger’s shoulders…

No, Ross manages to kick out. Stevo looks at the referee with disbelief, but does not argue, as the crowd cheers for the frustrated champion. He stands back to his feet, picking up Ross. He hooks his head, and screams to the crowd, “D D T!” Stevo is approved by his legion of fans, but Ross just pushes forward, slamming the champion’s back into the security railing. Ross, still holding on, backs them up a few feet, and BOOM! He slams his back into security railing again. Ross grabs the champion by the hair, as they make their way up the ramp.

Near the top, Ross picks up Stevo in a slamming position, with his back towards the V-Tron, he holds Stevo against his chest, as the crowd boos the challenger. He quickly gives a gesture of ease, by dusting his hands off, and tosses Stevo backwards over his head, with a fall away slam. Stevo lands on top of the ramp. Ross crawls up to the champion, rolling him over on his back, and covers him. The referee checks the shoulders, and starts the count…

2…

No, Stevo manages to lift his shoulder off the metal ramp before a three count is made on the steel stage. Ross screams at the referee, “ONE TWO THREE, GOT IT CHUMP?” Ross stands to his feet, lifting up Stevo. With a hand full of hair, he slams the face of the challenger into the steel support area of the V-Tron, shaking the whole screen. Stevo falls to a knee, holding his head, as Ross takes a moment to address the fans in a sold out Canadian Venue, “HOW DO YOU LIKE THAT!?” Echoes across the arena from Ross.

Grabs turns back to his opponent, stalking him with the few feet that separates the two. As he gets to Stevo, he is given a jab to the abs, followed by a shoulder thrust from the never say die champion. Ross stumbles, as he heads past the set, into the backstage area, Stevo manages to lift himself back to his feet, seeking his challenger.

The cameras quickly greet the two on the other side, as Stevo grabs the hair of the challenger, and slams him face first on a table where the bottle water is sitting, at the Gorilla position. Stevo grabs a bottle, turns the cap, and pours about half into his mouth. With the remaining amount, Stevo slams it on the face, as water flies everywhere. Stevo tosses the bottle down, grabbing the cooler like display, and pours the remaining bottles, ice, and cold water from the melted ice, all over his challenger.

Alex Ross scrambles further into the back, nearing the locker room area, freezing from the ice and water. Stevo screams at him “YOU WANTED THIS ROSS! TAKE IT LIKE A MAN!” Ross stumbles forward, as Stevo comes from behind, and grabs the wet hair of the challenger. They walk forward some more, as the women’s bathroom is before the, Stevo sets to Irish whips Ross, but it’s reversed, as Stevo is sent crashing thru the men’s bathroom door across the hall. Stevo fals to the floor, blocking the door from closing all the way. Ross crawls to an area, where he use it to help him back to his feet.

Ross kicks open the door, stepping all over his opponent in the process. Ross enters the bathroom, camera man quickly follows. Ross enters the bathroom, with the champion half way in and half way out. Ross grabs the door, and slams it shut, sending the wooden door into the champion. Ross starts to push on it, squeezing the life from the champion. He screams to the referee, “He’s going to quit, JUST ASK THE BASTARD!” The referee is at the champion’s head, asking him, “Come on Stevo, what do you say? Want to give it up?”

Stevo screams out in pain, with the idea of his ribs maybe broken, and the door squeezing against them, his face showcases the pain he is feeling. Stevo musters the words, “FUCK YOU ROSS!” Stevo uses his last energy, to grab the feet of Ross, and pull back, sending Ross crashing down on the hard floor, back of the head slamming loudly. Stevo manages to slide through the door, getting his injured ribs from having anymore pressure on them.

Both me are on the hard tiled floor, attempting to fight through the pain, and get an upper hand over the other. As Stevo crawls towards a sink, using his elbows to pull himself till he reaches the pipe. Grabbing it, he starts to pull himself up, grabbing the sink, to finish his lift up. Ross is picking himself off the floor, stumbling and dazed after his head bounced off the floor.

Stevo turns on the water, as he sticks his face down into it, like an energy shot. Ross still dazed and confuses, spots the champion, and rushes towards him. Stevo uses the mirror to see Ross from behind, Stevo turns, drops down, DROP TOE HOLD, as Ross smashes face first in the sink, breaking about a half of it off. Ross rolls around the floor, holding his face, as blood is mixed with the water on the floor from the broken sink. Stevo rolls over Ross, pressing his body on the left side and using his arms to press down on his right arm, the referee slides in for a count…

ROSS KICKS OUT!!!!

The referee throws up two in the face of the champion, slinging the water in his face. Stevo grabs his hair, and slams his palms into the water on the floor splashing it everywhere. Stevo picks up his challenger, as both men are to their feet. Ross is losing blood, as Stevo takes him towards the stalls. The handicap stall is locked, as Stevo props Ross against the door. The champion takes a few steps back, and comes forward with a boot to the side of the head, sending the challenger through the door.

Ross stumbles back, landing in a sitting style on the toilet, as the door closes behind him. Stevo stumbles back, as he takes a brief moment to catch his breath. The champion flings forward, exhausted. He heads into the stall after his opponent, as he opens the door, he sees a bloody Ross with a smile on his face, as Ross kicks the door and it flies straight into the nose of the champion.

Stevo is thrown backwards, slamming into a full body mirror, breaking it. Ross pulls himself off the toilet, as he opens the door up, and the automatic flushing toilet, flushes. Ross grabs the hair of the champion, who has blood pouring his nose, as if it is broken. He opens the stall door, and takes Stevo inside. A kick to the back of the knees sends Stevo down in a praying position, as Ross stuffs his head into the toilet.

A good shot in the toilet, sees the blood of Stevo and the water mixing. Ross climbs on the toilet, stepping on the back of the head of Stevo, holding him down into the water. Ross screams to the referee, “I’m going to kill him!” Ross turns to face Stevo, as he bends down, grabbing the waist of the champion, and picks him up, in a piledriver position. Ross pauses, stalling, letting the blood rush. Ross drops in a sitting position, as the champion’s head lands inside the toilet, and floats over to the floor. Ross throws himself off the toilet, on top of the fucked up champion, and hooks a leg…
