sVo Uprising 27
Live on the HOTv Network on PWA:TV
Goodfellas Casino Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada
7th August 2022
After the intro for the PWA, the entrance video package for Uprising begins, accompanied by the theme song of ‘Uprising’ by Artificial Intelligence as highlights of past action from 2013 to present day are sped up, showing the likes of Bobby Dean, Roscoe Shame, Night, Jay Wildman, Cody Williams & Nathan Paradine. As the video package finally comes to an end with an extended look at the ‘Uprising’ logo, the camera cuts to an exterior shot of the Goodfellas Casino Arena, in the heart of the Las Vegas strip, before cutting to a live shot of inside the arena.
The camera pans around the sold-out crowd, most of them on their feet and screaming loudly whilst trying to get their homemade sign shown in front of the camera. The cameras finally head over to the commentary table, where Julian Fiasco and Jeremiah Sloan welcome the fans watching on the HOTv network on PWA:TV to the broadcast and begin to break down some of the action that will take place on tonight’s show!

It’s a Beautiful Day Pt.1
The cameras immediately head backstage to the parking lot where a long blacked out limo is pulling up to the Goodfellas Casino Arena. The waiting camera quickly rushes towards the limo, as the driver hops out and rushes around to open the passenger door. After a few seconds, the sVo Owner Jon Page steps out of the limo, and straightens up before brushing off his dark suit.
The fans watching in the arena cheer for the sight of the boss, as Katie Smith swoops in with a microphone in hand.
Katie Smith: “Mr Page, we weren’t expecting you here tonight?”
Page smirks as he straightens his tie.
Jon Page: “I run the place Katie, hell I own the damn building! So, if I feel like showing up for Uprising and seeing the future stars of the sVo, that is just what I will do!”
Katie Smith: “Is there anyone in particular you have your eye on that is competing tonight?”
Page smirks again.
Jon Page: “Oh one or two, that I wouldn’t possible want to name….. but that isn’t the only thing I am here for tonight, Katie, I have that new PWA TV money burning a hole in my pocket and I have a big signing lined up to spend it on!”
Smith looks shocked and excited at the same time, ready for an exclusive.
Katie Smith: “Wow! Mr Page, are they here tonight?”
Jon Page: “We haven’t got the deal over the line yet Katie, but I hope to make an announcement really soon! It’s a beautiful day Katie!”
Page winks at Katie Smith before walking away from the interviewer as the camera pans to watch him stepping past the security and into the door for the backstage area of the Goodfellas Casino Arena. Katie Smith is left to ponder, just who has Jon Page lined up to sign for the sVo with the new PWA money that is rolling into the sVo?

Ringside
The Empire Pt.1
The referee rushes over to lift the arm of Kyle McRae in the air in victory, but as he does there is a mixed reaction from the fans as Jai Marshall and Charlie Strickland roll into the ring. Both members of the Rebel Society feint that they are going to check on Kat Kellison, before twisting direction and knocking Kyle McRae down to the mat with a double clothesline!
The referee quickly jumps out of the ring and out of the way, as Rebel Society stomp away on Kyle McRae! Kat Kellison slowly gets to her feet holding her neck, before turning and joining Strickland and Marshall in the attack! The fans boo loudly for the three on one beat down, as Rebel Society keep McRae pinned down to the mat with stomps and kicks!
After a few more seconds, there are big cheers from the crowd as down the entrance ramp with a steel chair in each hand rush Harry Black & Alexander Hate, collectively known as British Hospitality! The Rebel Society see the pair coming and quickly drop and bail out of the ring as British Hospitality dive in, before backing up the entrance ramp with smiles on their faces – message sent.
McRae slowly gets to his feet, angrily staring at Rebel Society before cautiously looking at British Hospitality, as the camera fades out.

Sex Symbol
We head backstage once again, this time to the interview area which is heavily branded with ‘sVo’ and ‘HOTv’ logos. Standing infront of the backdrop is Katie Smith, microphone in hand as always, and Cherry Bordeaux. Bordeaux looks focused as she adjusts the strapping on her wrists as Katie Smith starts the interview.
Katie Smith: “Cherry! Thanks for joining me again tonight! Now last week when we spoke you were hopefully of scoring your first win in the sVo in your match against Kat Kellison. Things didn’t quite go to plan, but how do you rate your chances tonight?”
Cherry Bordeaux: “Well I stand here pretty embarrassed Katie…. I told the world I didn’t want to be seen as just another pretty face, I wanted to be seen as what I am, a legit competitor! Then I followed that up by going out there and losing again….”
Bordeaux face palms before shaking it out.
Cherry Bordeaux: “This week is different though Katie! This week I get that first win that is going to turn into an avalanche of wins!”
Before Katie Smith can follow up with another question, the faces of Katie and Cherry turn to one of disgust as the unmistakable stench of ‘the Relentless’ Clam Idia enters the area. Sure enough, Clam Idia slowly struts onto the scene and tries to put an arm around Katie Smith, which she quickly shrugs off.
Clam Idia: “Cherry! I get you girl! I know what it’s like to be looked at purely as a sex symbol! I know what it’s like to not be taken seriously! You might not win in the ring tonight, but how about me and you win together afterwards?”
Clam Idia winks in the direction of Cherry Bordeaux before shooting her the finger guns. Bordeaux takes a few seconds, looking like she has physically thrown up in her mouth, before stepping forward and laying it into Clam Idia with a stiff slap across the face. Cherry Bordeaux quickly storms of the scene and towards the ring, no doubt even more motivated to pick up that first win tonight.
Clam Idia shakes off the slap before slowly turning towards Katie Smith with a grin on his face.
Katie Smith: “Don’t even fucking think about it!”
Smith drops her usual professionalism before quickly walking away in disgust as the scene fades out.

One Down, Nine to Go
We head backstage to the locker room of the reigning sVo Roulette Champion Bronson Johnson, who two weeks ago in Uprising 26 managed to successfully defend his championship and move one step closer to the ten defences needed to get an sVo Championship shot! Johnson is seated on a steel chair, staring intensely at strap which he holds in his hands.
After a few seconds, the door swings open and the fans watching on the screen boo loudly as the legendary manager JD James steps into the room.
Bronson Johnson: “Who this time?”
James takes a big gulp before answering.
JD James: “Well it’s not Clam Idia again…. That is the positive.”
Johnson doesn’t seem in the mood for games as the veteran answers gruffly.
Bronson Johnson: “Who?”
JD James: “Ryuu…. The wheel picked out Hiro Ryuu as your contender for tonight.”
Johnson slowly rises up to his feet and throws the championship belt over his shoulder, before cracking his knuckles.
Bronson Johnson: “Looks like the roulette wheel was kind to me again this week. Maybe you should start putting some money down JD.”
Johnson slowly walks out of the locker room and towards the gorilla position, with not long until his championship defence. JD James takes a few seconds to think, before turning on his heels and following his client, clearly not as confident about the prospect of facing former TapOut Champion Hiro Ryuu as the Champion is!

Patriot Act (#8) vs. British Hospitality (#9)
Ringside
The Empire Pt.2
Harry Black and Alexander Hate regroup in the corner of the ring after the tough to take loss, as Dallas Jordan rolls into the ring and raises the arms of Lance Abbot and Travis Armstrong in victory. The fans boo loudly, but as Hate and Black begin to leave the ring, Patriot Act call them back to the middle of the ring! Hate and Black look at each other for a few seconds, before the British brawlers shrug their shoulders and turn to meet the three members of Patriot Act in the middle of the ring.
The referee, sensing trouble, quickly jumps out of the ring as Black and Hate stand face to face with Abbot and Armstrong after the gruelling battle which was narrowly settled with a surprise roll up, as Dallas Jordan stands in the middle directing traffic.
The fans rise to their feet expecting it to break into another brawl but are shocked as Armstrong and Abbot extend their hands to British Hospitality! Hate and Black look at each other confused for a few seconds, before cautiously shaking the hands of their opponents.
The fans give a polite applause to the show of sportsmanship, but this suddenly erupts into boos as the Patriot Act pull Black and Hate towards them in stereo before knocking them down to the mat! Dallas Jordan laughs as he joins in as Patriot Act begin to dissect British Hospitality in the middle of the ring!
British Hospitality try to fight back but can do little about the three on two odds, until there is a big cheer as Kyle McRae sprints down the entrance ramp, seemingly returning the favour from earlier in the night!
McRae dives into the ring looking to fight, but Patriot Act don’t seem to want any of the even numbers as they quickly bail out and celebrate their win on the outside of the ring.
Black and Hate slowly rise up to their feet from the beat down, as McRae gives them a respectful nod of the head as the scene fades out.

The Theory of Evolution
Uprising returns from a commercial break and heads straight back to the backstage interview area, with Katie Smith this time standing by with the one and only Darwin Jones! Jones towers over the pretty interviewer, as he soaks in the cheers from the fans that see him on the giant screen.
Katie Smith: “Darwin, thank you for joining me tonight! Now last time on Uprising you issued an open challenge at the top of show which was answered by your brother in law Curtis Knight! Do you regret that after how the match turned out?”
Jones flexes his massive muscles as he contemplates the question for a few seconds before answering.
Darwin Jones: “Me and Curtis have been waiting to go at it for years. Do I regret the result, yes, do I regret the challenge? Absolutely not!”
Katie Smith: “Well that has been a few big losses in a row, what is your mindset right now?”
Darwin Jones: “I have been thinking about it a lot Katie, these losses have been tough to take. I was on the verge of winning the sVo Championship, and now I have slipped down the rankings and can’t seem to buy a win! By taking a step back I have realised why I have been off my game. William Vorheez….. Hugo Ryzing…. Curtis Knight…. I have been way to emotional about all of these matches. I need to get back to basics, take the emotions out and focus on what I do best, getting in that ring and wrestling!”
Katie Smith: “Tonight you face Jacob Izaz in the main event….”
Darwin Jones: “And that is bad news for Jacob Izaz. Tonight he doesn’t face the Darwin Jones who just wants to smash heads and destroy whatever is in his path. No, he faces Darwin Jones who was the youngest person to ever graduate from the University of California, he faces Darwin Jones with the high ring IQ who can out think anyone on the roster! Jacob, tonight I am going to take you apart! You are my first rung on the ladder back up the rankings and to getting my revenge on everyone that has crossed me before!”
Jones looks confident as he stares into the camera, as the scene fades out.

It’s a Beautiful Day Pt.2
After the successful title defence from Bronson Johnson, the cameras head to the backstage area for the last time tonight, where Katie Smith is loitering outside of the office of Jon Page, waiting to see if she can scoop an exclusive on just who the sVo has lined up as a ‘big money’ signing. As Smith tries to look relaxed and incognito, there is suddenly a queue of people at the door to Page’s office, including some Vegas showgirls from the Goodfellas Casino Arena carrying trays of food and some questionable looking ‘ladies of the night’ kinds.
Smith eyes the scene suspiciously, as Jon Page slowly opens the office door, and quietly ushers them all into his office. Page looks around once the last of the queue has made it into his office, and spots Katie Smith watching from down the corridor, before quickly storming over to her.
Jon Page: “What the hell do you think you are doing?”
Katie Smith: “I am just trying to see if I can catch a glimpse of the new signing…. Eh… what are you doing?”
Page glances back at his office looking embarrassed, before answering the question.
Jon Page: “It’s not what you think… it’s just eh… part of the negotiations with the new signing…. Now beat it! If you want to see the new signing then make sure to turn into Showdown next Sunday!”
Page angrily storms off and disappears into the office, before slamming the door behind him.
