sVo Sunday Night Showdown 135
Live on the HOTv Network on PWA:TV
Goodfellas Casino Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada
14th August 2022
After the intro for the PWA, the entrance video package for Sunday Night Showdown begins, accompanied by the theme song of ‘Showdown’ by Pendulum as highlights of past action from 2013 to present day are sped up, showing the likes of Bobby Dean, Roscoe Shame, Night, Jay Wildman, Cody Williams & Nathan Paradine. As the video package finally comes to an end with an extended look at the ‘Sunday Night Showdown’ logo, the camera cuts to an exterior shot of the Goodfellas Casino Arena, in the heart of the Las Vegas strip, before cutting to a live shot of inside the arena. The camera pans around the sold-out crowd, most of them on their feet and screaming loudly whilst trying to get their homemade sign shown in front of the camera. The cameras finally head over to the commentary table, where Julian Fiasco and Jeremiah Sloan welcome the fans watching on the HOTv network on PWA:TV to the broadcast and begin to break down some of the action that will take place on tonight’s show!

For the Family
‘There And Back’ by Daughtry hits the sound system and there is a cheer from the crowd as the lights in the arena dim. After a few seconds the impressive ‘the Dark Horse’ Curtis Knight slowly walks out onto the top of the entrance ramp, before raising one arm in the air. Pyro shoots into the air either side of Knight at the same time his arm shoots into the air, before he slowly walks down the entrance ramp. Knight climbs into the ring before posing for the fans one last time as the music fades out.
Knight stands tall in the middle of the ring soaking in the loud cheers from the fans, as Natasha Ortiz the ring announcer scurries across to give him the microphone.
Curtis Knight: “Vegas, what’s up?!?”
There is a huge pop from the crowd.
Curtis Knight: “Now you all know me, I am not one to be out here flapping my gums! When I am out in this ring I much prefer to be cracking skulls!”
Another loud pop from the sold out crowd.
Curtis Knight: “So with that in mind I will keep this nice and short! I am out here tonight because I want one thing, that is a god damn match with god damn Hugo Ryzing!”
The crowd boo loudly at the mere mention of the former tag team champion.
Curtis Knight: “Frankly I don’t care what Hugo has done before in the wrestling business. I care about the fact that he put his hands on my wife after their match a couple of weeks, and now I am he has to pay the price!”
The fans cheer Curtis Knight, but after a few seconds the cheers turn to boos as “Keep on Swinging” by Rival Sons hits the sound system and Hugo Ryzing cockily walks out onto the top of the entrance ramp with a microphone in hand and a hood over his head. Knight stares angrily up at Hugo Ryzing, as he calls for the music to be cut before slowly pulling the hood down.
Hugo Ryzing: “You want to step in the ring with me old man? Maybe you should ask the rest of your family about how that turned out for them before you make that challenge….”
The fans boo loudly as Curtis Knight shouts some abuse at Ryzing across the arena which thankfully isn’t caught on the microphone.
Hugo Ryzing: “Normally I would say no…..”
Louder boos around the arena.
Hugo Ryzing: “The only person I really want to be accepting a challenge from is William Vorheez when the sVo Championship belt is on the line! But seen as Vorheez is tied up at the PPV and a win over you would put me in prime spot to be the next #1 contender, what the hell, I will gladly let you join the rest of your family in getting your ass kicked by yours truly!”
The crowd give a mixed reaction, but Knight still doesn’t seem happy.
Curtis Knight: “Why wait until the PPV. Face me tonight, Hugo!”
Loud cheers from the fans at the challenge, but Ryzing scoffs at the idea.
Hugo Ryzing: “You don’t get it do you? You mean nothing to me, your family means nothing to me! I already have a carefully hand selected opponent for tonight to help me up the ladder to that sVo Championship! You are just the rung I have to climb at the PPV!”
Ryzing tosses his microphone down and turns and disappears back around the curtain to bring an end to the conversation, leaving a fuming Curtis Knight standing in the ring.

A Beautiful Arrival
We head backstage to the parking lot, where the sVo Owner Jon Page is pacing back and forth looking uncharacteristically nervous. Page seems to be waiting for the arrival of somewhere, but seems less than delighted to see the sight of Katie Smith approaching, microphone in hand and camera crew in tow.
Katie Smith: “Mr Page! Mr Page!”
Page for a brief second tries to ignore Katie, before finally giving up and turning around.
Katie Smith: “Are you waiting for the big signing? Can you confirm the rumours on the internet right now that it is Xander Azula?
Page laughs out loud as he shakes his head in disbelief.
Jon Page: “I think you just answered your own question there Katie when you called it a ‘big’ signing! I hadn’t even heard of Xander Azula until a few weeks ago when he tried to make himself relevant by mentioning the sVo…. In fact I am still not sure how you pronounce his second name….”
Page drifts off into deep thought, before Katie Smith brings him back around with a follow up question.
Katie Smith: “Well how about an exclusive Mr Page, can you reveal who it is?”
Page snaps back and begins to point to the door.
Jon Page: “Look, get the hell out of here before I call security. You can find out like everyone else tonight when out big addition to the roster makes his way out to the ring to meet the people!”
Smith and the camera crew reluctantly retreat towards the arena entrance, as Page returns to pacing back and forth in the parking lot.

Whodunit?
After another Showdown victory for Big Aug, the cameras head to the backstage area where Kenneth D Williams is standing alone in his locker room. Williams seems to be surveying the scene, where only a few weeks ago he was found face down in a pool of his own blood.
Kenneth D Williams: “Coward! That is what you call someone who attacks someone from behind.”
Williams cracks his knuckles in anger, before crouching down to the floor.
Kenneth D Williams: “I can still see the stain on the tile right here. The cleaning crew did their best, but I’m glad they couldn’t get all of the claret out. Every time I step into this locker room I will use it as a reminder.”
Williams slowly rises up to a standing position before staring down the lens of the camera.
Kenneth D Williams: “Whoever it was that attacked me last time on Showdown….. I will find you…. I will make you pay. However I will do it face to face, man to man. I will look you in the eye and then give you the beating of a life time! Now if you are as much as a coward as I think you are then I know you will stay away, but if you have even the smallest set of balls…. Come and meet me in the middle of the ring at the Jackpot PPV…. I will be waiting….”
The Human Highlight Reel stares deeply into the camera as the scene fades out – but will his mystery attacker meet the challenge?

Tapout
We head backstage to the ‘sVo’ & ‘HOTv’ branded interview area, where Katie Smith is standing by with a beaming smile and a microphone. Alongside Smith, also with a beaming smile, is the newly crowned sVo TapOut Champion Junior Gambino, with the Blood Money member proudly showing off the TapOut Championship belt on his shoulder.
Katie Smith: “Thanks for joining me tonight! Now you shocked the world when you defeat Alissia Young for the TapOut Championship on the last episode of Showdown…..”
Gambino looks furious as he quickly puts a hand up on Smith’s face to stop her talking.
Junior Gambino: “Ohhh! What the hell you mean I shocked the world? You make it sound like it was some kind of surprise that I beat that broad for this belt?”
Gambino angrily holds the TapOut Championship in the air at a surprised looking Katie Smith. The red headed interview tries to nervously explain.
Katie Smith: “Well I mean Alissia Young was the #2 rank on the whole sVo roster…. She had held the TapOut Championship for a long time….”
Junior Gambino: “Hold on, let me ask you a question as you are obviously terrible at it. Had she ever faced Junior Gambino before?”
Katie Smith: “Err…. Well… no….”
Junior Gambino: “Bingo! That broad had never met the I-talian stallion before! I already won two championships and I been here only a matter of months, who else done that before in the sVo?”
Smith looks in the air as she tries to think back through the history of the sVo for an answer.
Junior Gambino: “No body! That’s who! Now let me tell you one of two things….. I ain’t losing this belt! Capisce!”
Gambio angrily slaps his hand on the TapOut Championship belt, before storming out of the interview area leaving a confused looking Katie Smith behind.

Bringing the Fight to You
The big screen flickers on, revealing the face of HOW competitor Xander Azula…with a smirk on his face?
Xander Azula: “Hello, sVo fans…it’s so nice to see your pretty little faces.”
This get a bit of jeering from the crowd, something Xander seems to ignore…and soon, we realize why.
Xander Azula: “At least, it would be if I was actually there. See, I made my way to Vegas last week, and I was all set to storm into the Goodfellas Casino just days before making my way to Tombstone for High Octane Wrestling’s Dead or Alive Pay-Per-View…but I was told that Jon Page was, well, too busy for me. Well, since I already have my work cut out for me on the night you see this, challenging to become the first-ever HOTv Tag Team Champion, I’ve decided I’ll do what Page has requested. I’ll bring the fight to you, and show you just how unsanctioned my violence can be.”
Xander’s smirk widens to a grin at the thought of this.
Xander Azula: “See you next week, Page. I expect you to have your warrior chosen by then.”
With that, the screen abruptly cuts to black!

Arrival
The lights throughout the arena go dark as a lone spotlight shines at the top of the entrance ramp. The fans begin to grow restless as the seconds of pitch darkness tick away, when all of a sudden a familiar tune begins to play. Music that the sVo faithful haven’t heard in years.
“You’re the beeeesssssssttttt arrrrooooouuuunnnnnddddd!”
Jeremiah Sloan: Is that who I think it is?
Julian Fiasco: It can’t be!?
The fans erupt as “You’re the Best” by Joe Esposito plays throughout the arena. The response is absolutely deafening when “Beautiful” Bobby Dean emerges through the curtain, wearing blue jeans, sneakers, and a black sVo emblazoned tee shirt that seems to struggle to maintain all of his girth. Smiling that familiar smile, Bobby makes his way to the ring, stopping to high five every single outstretched hand he passes.
Jeremiah Sloan: I cannot believe it! He’s back! Bobby Dean is BACK!
The man known as “The Beautiful Man from Honalee” has made his way around the ring, stopping at the announce table to share a hug with his long time friends Jeremiah Sloan and Julian Fiasco, roughly patting them on the backs before continuing on around the ring towards the ringside steps.
Julian Fiasco: This is going to be interesting.
The big man appears to be slightly winded when he finally manages to step between the ropes, a microphone in hand. The fans begin to chant “Welcome Back.”
Bobby Dean: Ahhhhhh! It’s so good to be back here in the sVo!
The fans erupt in response.
Bobby Dean: When I heard that the sVo signed a deal with HOTv, and with the PWA, I knew right then and there I just HAD to come back! I called up my good buddy Jon Page…
The big man takes a moment to pause as the fans cheer at the mention of the boss, before he continues on, with a smile on his face.
Bobby Dean: I begged and pleaded for ole Jonny to take me back, and low and behold, here. I. Am!
Another impromptu “Welcome Back” chant ensues, but thankfully doesn’t last as long giving Bobby Dean the opening to keep on going.
Bobby Dean: I have to admit though, a lot seems to have changed since the last time I was in the Goodfellas Casino Arena. I was walking the halls backstage earlier, you know, shaking babies, kissing hands, eating bundt cakes, and I gotta admit, I didn’t know a single person back there. I was expecting to see some familiar faces, you know, Chris Bond, Cody Williams, Isaac White, the Wildman, KFlaw.
With each name the crowd cheers.
Bobby Dean: Howie Banks, Night, Psyko Stevo, Sara Pettis, hell I would have settled for that asshole, Mike Best! But no, instead of the greats, I see these youngin’s, Gonorrhea, Dallas Jordan, and this guy named Tommy All Star, I think that’s what he said his name was?
A few chuckles can be heard in the crowd as they laugh at both Clam Idia and Johnny All Star’s expense, as Bobby simply stands there smirking in triumph..
Bobby Dean: A lot of you might be wondering why I’m back in the middle of an sVo ring once more? Is this Immortals 2021 all over again? Is he here to represent PRIME? Is he here because he saw that pussy Xander Abdullah from HOW on Showdown 2 weeks ago, and thought to himself, if he can do it, so can I?
The crowd begins to boo at the mention of Xander Azula, causing the smirk on Bobby’s face to broaden to a full fledged smile.
Bobby Dean: The answer to both of those questions is no. Long before I was a PRIMEate, I considered sVo my home. Long before my vacation on the USS Octane in the #97red waters of HOW, I was all about that Sanctioned Violence. So why am I back here in sVo? Because Bobby Dean wants to come home and this time, I have no intention of leaving!
Bobby Dean drops the microphone and proceeds to bask in the adulation of the crowd as the copyright information appears in the corner of the screen and Showdown comes to a close!
