sVo Sunday Night Showdown #112
Goodfellas Casino Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada
19th September 2021

The entrance video package for Sunday Night Showdown begins, accompanied by the theme song of ‘Showdown’ by Pendulum as highlights of past action from 2013 to present day are sped up, showing the likes of Bobby Dean, Roscoe Shame, Night, Jay Wildman, Cody Williams & Nathan Paradine. As the video package finally comes to an end with an extended look at the ‘Sunday Night Showdown’ logo, the camera cuts to an exterior shot of the Goodfellas Casino Arena, in the heart of the Las Vegas strip, before cutting to a live shot of inside the arena. The camera pans around the sold out crowd, most of them on their feet and screaming loudly whilst trying to get their homemade sign shown in front of the camera. The cameras finally head over to the commentary table, where Julian Fiasco and Jeremiah Sloan welcome the fans watching on TV to the broadcast and begin to break down some of the action that will take place on tonight’s show!

Family Honour

The cameras head backstage to the parking lot, where Gunner Lang is pacing back and forth, clearly waiting for the arrival of someone at the start of Showdown #112! The fans cheer as they spot the former Las Vegas Champion on the big screen, but Lang looks preoccupied until a car slowly pulls up. Lang quickly makes his way over to the car, as out of it steps his son Flip Dixon, a gym bag in hand.

Flip Dixon: “Dad, I know what you are going to say, but save your breath. It’s happening.”

Lang shakes his head.

Gunner Lang: “You know what happened last time you stepped in the ring with Johnny. I know you are frustrated at not getting enough opportunities around here, but we can go and talk to Page, this isn’t the way to make your name. Leave Johnny to me.”

Dixon looks angry as he pushes past his old man.

Flip Dixon: “I’m not a kid anymore Dad, and I won’t have Uncle Johnny talk about you like that. You might want to let him get away with it, but I won’t. Whatever happens out there, don’t get involved.”

Gunner Lang: “But Flip…”

Flip Dixon: “Dad, don’t get involved in my match out there….”

Dixon pushes past Gunner Lang, leaving the #1 contender for the sVo Championship alone and looking desperate.

Give Me Vorheez

The camera heads to the backstage area, and specifically the office of the sVo Owner Jon Page. The boss is sitting behind his new wooden desk, tapping away on a laptop that is in front of him when suddenly there is a loud pounding on the door.

Page spins around towards the noise, but before he can even say “come in”, the door bursts open and in storms the massive Darwin Jones.

The former sVo Tag Team Champion and current Horizon member doesn’t look in the mood for conversation as he stands in front of Page with his hands clenched into fists.

Jon Page: “Erm Darwin. You ok there buddy?”

The former Hostility Wrestling start has his teeth clenched as he stares down at the boss.

Darwin Jones: “Vorheez put my friend in the hospital two weeks ago. Tonight I am sending him to the bed opposite one way or another. Give me a match against him.”

Page looks up at the 6’8” giant who not only is one of the most physically imposing fighters on the sVo roster, but is also one of the cleverest.

Jon Page: “You got it Darwin, but you get your revenge in the ring by beating him one on one you hear me? I don’t know how long Ryzing is going to be out for, I can’t afford to lose more people off of my roster.”

Jones doesn’t answer as he simply smiles and nods once, before turning and exiting the office just as quickly as he entered, slamming the door shut so firmly that it nearly comes off of its hinges.

Page relaxed back in his office chair as he ponders the rest of tonight’s action as the scene fades out.

Single Match
Alissia Young vs. Ida Guildress

We head back to ringside as “Heads Will Roll” by Yeah Yeah Yeah’s hits the sound system and the fans in the arena boo the arrival of Ida Guildress at the top of the entrance ramp! The English born star taunts to the crowd at the top of the entrance ramp by blowing a kiss to the crowd, before slowly strutting down the entrance ramp towards the ring! Guildress slowly climbs into the ring before climbing to the nearest turnbuckle and posing for the sold out crowd.

Welcome To Toronto’ by K Money hits the sound system, and there are loud boos from the crowd as onto the top of the entrance ramp steps Alissia Young of the Canadian Connection! Young signals to the crowd, before slowly walking down the entrance ramp bopping her head to the music. Young rolls into the ring under the bottom rope before climbing to the second rope and staring out at the crowd with her arms folded, before jumping down and preparing for battle as the music fades out.

The referee calls for the bell to be rung and the action is quickly underway, with both Young and Guildress looking for the victory to improve their position within the sVo rankings! Guildress looks to try and takedown Young with a double leg takedown, however Young blocks her before landing some big elbow smashes to the top of her opponents head. Guildress stumbles away holding her head in pain, until Young grabs her by the arm and shoots her into the ring ropes, before taking her down with a big clothesline as she bounces back.

The fans boo Alissia Young as she follows up with a headscissors takedown, followed up quickly with a snap suplex to get control of the match from the early going! Guildress looks in pain as she stumbles up to her feet, as Young pounces forward and locks in a reverse wrist lock to increase the pain on her opponent. Guildress tries to twist and turn to get out of the submission hold, but Young keeps it locked in tight until Guildress is able to swing a back elbow and cause Young to break her hold.

Young stumbles away for a few seconds, and Guildress tries to fight her way back into the match with a running knee strike to Young, before taking the Canadian down to the mat with a gutwrench powerslam! Young looks shocked as she gets back to her feet, but Guildress follows up with a bridging snap suplex into the cover!

One,

Two,

No!

Young kicks out before the three can be counted and this one continues! Guildress doesn’t look too happy at not getting the three count right there as she pulls Young up to her feet, and looks for a facebuster to finish off her opponent. However Young counters with a big hip toss to take down the British star, before following up with a springboard push kick! Guildress fires back with some big right hands to Young, but Young fights back with some stiff chops across the chest of her opponent, before landing a backbreaker to take her down to the mat! With Guildress down and clearly hurting, Young hooks the leg to make the cover!

One,

Two,

No!

Guildress kicks out, but as she does Young immediately transfers the cover into her finishing submission move the ‘Hard Way’! The fans boo loudly as the referee quickly drops down and asks Guildress if she wants to quit! Guildress bravely tries to fight her way to the bottom rope to cause the rope break, but Young keeps the move locked in! Guildress tries one last attempt to get to the ropes, but Young rolls her backwards into the middle of the ring! The fans boo loudly as Guildress finally gives in and taps to the pain!

It’s all over and the referee calls for the bell to be rung, however just like on Against All Odds #21 and her match against Jupiter James, Alissia Young keeps the submission hold locked on after the bell! The fans boo even louder for the Canadian, as the referee struggles to finally pull her away from her opponent.

Alessia Young rises up to her feet with a big smile on her face and celebrates her second victory in a row, as the referee checks on the condition of Ida Guildress who is still on the mat holding her arm in pain.

Winner via submission: Alessia Young

Dis-Armed

After the impressive win from Alissia Young, her second in two matches, the cameras head backstage to the interview area where Katie Smith is standing by with Jupiter James. The fans cheer as they spot the popular superstar on the giant screen in the arena, however James doesn’t look like she will be competing tonight, as she is wearing street clothes and has her arm in a sling.

Katie Smith: “Jupiter, well we just watched Alessia Young score another impressive win, this time over Ida Guildress.”

Jupiter James: “Your right it was impressive. Now I have no love for Ida Guildress, but it was a good match. It’s always good to see the women of the sVo representing.”

Katie Smith: “Now we just saw Alessia Young keep that submission move locked on Guildress after the match, just like she did to you after your match two weeks ago. What do you make of her actions?”

Jupiter James: “Well, you can guess what I think of her actions because its caused me to be wearing this….”

James painfully lifts her arm forward to highlight her sling.

Jupiter James: “… and cost me the chance to compete tonight. Like I said, I got no love for Ida Guildress, but it seems that Alessia Young thinks she is some sort of bad ass submission expert.”

Katie Smith: “Well that is two wins out of two by tapout now for Alessia…”

James nods her head, almost remembering the pain she felt from being locked in the ‘Hard Way’ submission hold.

Jupiter James: “Well if Alessia is done trying to break Ida’s arm, then hopefully she hears this, because I want to challenge Alessia Young to a rematch at the Vendetta PPV on the 17th October! By then my arm will be all fixed up, so I don’t want any old match, I want a submission match!”

The scene fades out as Jupiter James stares down the camera, sending the message to Alessia Young that she isn’t scared of the Canadian.

Down the Middle

We head to the locker room of Horizon, where JD James is sitting alone amongst five empty chairs. Despite winning the Organised Chaos match a few months ago and seemingly reigning supreme over Blood Money, JD James’s Horizon group has fallen apart week by week, leaving the veteran to ponder his thoughts alone.

However JD isn’t alone for long as the locker room door pushes open and in walks the sVo Champion Johnny All Star.

All Star slowly walks into the room, before quietly sitting across from his oldest friend in the wrestling business. Johnny All Star and JD James sit staring at each other in silence for a few seconds, before All Star finally breaks the silence.

Johnny All Star: “So you are gonna do the right thing when you referee the match at the PPV right?”

James looks at All Star for a few seconds before answering.

JD James: “I am planning on calling it right down the middle Johnny. Now what is this I’m hearing about you going one on one with Flip in the main event tonight?”

All Star smirks for a few seconds, before regaining his composure.

Johnny All Star: “I know you got to say you are gonna call it right down the middle, but your gonna do the right thing though right?”

All Star pats the sVo Championship as he asks the question, neatly dodging JD’s.

JD James: “Johnny, I known you longer than anyone else still left in the wrestling business, but Gunner has never wronged me. He is part of Horizon as well so I am calling this one right down the middle. Now what about this Flip situation tonight?”

All Star smiles as he picks himself up out of the chair and throws the championship belt back over his shoulder.

Johnny All Star: “Gunner shouldn’t have cashed in that title shot like he did on me, so I am afraid Flip is going to have to pay the price tonight. Now that’s fine if you really do want to call it down the middle JD, because I am better than Gunner and we both know it. Just promise me you don’t change your mind on that no matter what happens tonight, for your sake….”

All Star leaves that statement hanging in the air for a few seconds, before slowly turning and leaving the room, leaving JD James all alone again in the Horizon locker room.

Single Match
Jacob Izaz Vs. HyperNova

Sash! – Encore Une Fois hits the sound system and the arena fills with boos as the young French star HyperNova steps out onto the top of the entrance ramp, with his manager Victoria Isabel Patience by his side. Flashlights go off up and down the entrance ramp as HyperNova marches down towards the ring as if he is on a fashion runway. Victoria Isabel Patience slowly walks behind him as HyperNova stops just short of the ring, and poses for the nearest camera. The boos continue as HyperNova slowly climbs into the ring, before using the nearest turnbuckle as a hammock and relaxing with his feet up on the ropes.

‘Not for Radio’ by Nas hits the sound system and the fans cheer as onto the top of the entrance ramp swaggers the confident looking Jacob Izaz. Izaz holds his arms in the air and stands motionless for a few seconds as flash bulbs go off around the arena, before he slowly continues his swagger down the entrance ramp towards the ring. Izaz hops up onto the ring apron and again throws his arms up in the air to poses for the crowd, before climbing through the ropes and into the squared circle.

The referee calls for the bell to be rung, and HyperNova quickly tries to gain the advantage over his opponent with a cheap shot to the face. Izaz stumbles backwards, and HyperNova backs his opponent into the corner of the ring with the big right hands, before grabbing him by the arm and sending him corner to corner with an Irish whip. Izaz hits the turnbuckle hard, but as HyperNova runs at him to try and continue the offence, Izaz counters with a big clothesline!

HyperNova gets quickly back up to his feet, but ‘the Philly Flash’ follows up with a front backbreaker on the Frenchman! VIP looks worries as she paces around the ringside area, whilst Jacob Izaz poses for the sold out crowd who cheer him loudly. Izaz allows HyperNova to get to his feet, before landing some stiff knife edge chops across the face of his opponent. HyperNova tries to fight back with some right hands, but Izaz takes his opponent down with an impressive snap t-bone suplex!

HyperNova struggles back up to his feet, but as he does Izaz runs at his opponent and takes him down with a monkey flip in the middle of the ring. Izaz waits for HyperNova to begin to pull himself up to his feet, before bouncing off of the ropes and landing a running shining wizard in the middle of the ring! With HyperNova down and hurting, Izaz makes the cover.

One,

Two,

No!

Everyone thought it was all over right there after that blow to the head, however HyperNova somehow manages to get a shoulder up before the three can be counted! Izaz looks disappointed as he gets to his feet, but as he does the fans boo as VIP jumps up onto the ring apron!

VIP begins to talk trash to Jacob Izaz, desperately trying to help out her client HyperNova get back to winning ways! Izaz laughs off the trash talk from VIP, but as the referee rushes over to usher her off of the ring apron, HyperNova takes advantage with a low blow on Izaz behind the back of the referee!

The fans boo loudly for the actions of HyperNova, as he gets to his feet and lands a spinning sitout powerbomb on Izaz before making a cover of his own!

One,

Two,

Th..

No!

Izaz gets his shoulder up just when it looked like HyperNova might steal the win with the help of his manager VIP! HyperNova tries to capitalize on the advantage with some stiff mounted punches to his opponent, before finally allowing him up to his feet. HyperNova grabs Izaz by the arm and Irish whips him into the corner of the ring, before landing a running clothesline on his opponent. Izaz stumbles out of the corner of the ring, and HyperNova lands a running bulldog off of the ropes on the Philly Flash, before making his way to the top rope!

The fans boo loudly as the Frenchman stands smugly on the top rope for a few seconds, before leaping off and landing a big elbow drop on his opponent! It must be all over as HyperNova spins Izaz over and hooks the leg for another cover!

One,

Two,

No!

HyperNova nor VIP can believe it as somehow the referee holds two fingers in the air to signal that it was only a two count before Izaz managed to get his shoulders up! HyperNova stares at the referee in disbelief for a few seconds, before spinning Izaz over and landing some mounted punches on the popular sVo star.

HyperNova finally peels Izaz off of the mat and positions him for a piledriver in the middle of the ring to finally put him away once and for all! HyperNova looks for the piledriver, but Izaz counters in the nick of time with a back body drop!

The fans cheer loudly as HyperNova staggers up to his feet holding his back in pain, but Izaz follows up with a kick to the midsection and a double underhook piledriver in the middle of the ring! The fans are firmly behind Izaz after the big move, but the offense from HyperNova earlier in the match seems to have taken its toll as he is unable to make his way over and capitalize!

The fans begins to chant Izaz’s name, as he crawls to the corner of the ring and uses the ring ropes to pull himself up to a standing position! HyperNova looks like he doesn’t know where he is as he stumbles up to his feet holding his head in pain! Izaz takes a few seconds in the corner of the ring, before pouncing forward and landing ‘the Message’ in the middle of the ring! The fans cheer as Izaz drops down over HyperNova and the referee makes the cover!

One,

Two,

Three!

It’s all over, and despite VIP trying to insert herself into the match and give her client the upperhand, it is Jacob Izaz who picks up yet another victory! The fans cheer as Izaz stumbles up to his feet and has his arm raised in the air in victory by the referee, as VIP helps her client HyperNova out of the ring and to the backstage area.

Winner via pinfall: Jacob Izaz

Give Me Jones

The cameras head backstage once again to the office of sVo Owner Jon Page, where Page is watching the victory celebration of Jacob Izaz and looking suitably impressed with one of his newer signings. Once again, Page is interrupted as the door opens, this time by the hand of the former 2x sVo Champion William Vorheez. Vorheez slowly walks into the room and looms large over the boss at the front of his desk. Page looks nervously at his new desk, with Vorheez having thrown Hugo Ryzing through it a few weeks ago.

William Vorheez: “Page, I want a match tonight against anyone in Horizon.”

Page slowly looks up at the intimidating figure in front of him.

Jon Page: “Well funny you should come in here and say that, because Darwin Jones was in here earlier tonight saying something similar. You two are booked later tonight.”

Vorheez looks suitable pleased with the news, but Page isn’t finished.

Jon Page: “You really think that Horizon cost you that title match against Johnny at the PPV? The way they been acting I don’t think so….”

Vorheez shrugs his shoulders mid turn.

William Vorheez: “At this point it doesn’t really matter any more. I am going to take them all out and then I will come after Johnny and get my belt back.”

Vorheez edges closer to the door, but Page still isn’t finished.

Jon Page: “Leave 7th October free in your schedule. I know it’s not a Sunday but I am booking a big sVo anniversary show, lots of the old sVo stars are in.”

William Vorheez: “Count me in.”

Vorheez nods in Page’s direction, and the nod is reciprocated, before Vorheez shuts the door behind him.

Tag Team Match
The Starr Brothers vs. The Shamrocks

‘Man in the Box’ by the Alice In Chains hits and there is a small cheer from the crowd as the team of Darren Starr & Simon Starr walk out onto the top of the entrance ramp! Both Starr brothers signal to both sides of the crowd before quickly making their way down the entrance ramp and diving head first into the ring.

“Going out in Style” by the Dropkick Murphys hits the sound system and there is a cheer as the arena is basked in a green glow. After a few seconds Tom Flynn & Sean O’Grady, collectively known as the Shamrocks, step out onto the top of the entrance ramp and raises their arms in the air to acknowledge the crowd! Flynn cracks his knuckles at the top of the entrance ramp whilst O’Grady hypes up the crowd, before the pair march down to the ring and climb in, ready to fight!

With both teams at ringside, Flynn and Simon Starr look set to start the match off as the referee calls for the bell to be rung and the action to get started!

Both men circle around each other in the middle of the ring, before tying up. Both men try and push each other backwards, before Simon Starr manages to turn Flynn into a hammerlock. Flynn fights his way out of the submission hold quickly, before landing some massive right hands to knock down his opponent! Simon Starr stumbles back to his feet after the big rights from the former bare knuckle brawler, and Flynn follows up with a scoop powerslam in the middle of the ring.

The fans look to be behind both teams in this match up, as Simon Starr staggers back up to his feet, only to walk straight into a death valley drive from Tom Flynn! Flynn looks pleased with himself as he stomps away on Simon Starr with some big boots, before making the tag out to his partner Sean O’Grady!

O’Grady leaps into the ring and continues the offensive with some stomps of his own as Simon Starr tries to get to his feet. O’Grady finally allows Simon Starr to get to his feet before landing some stiff knife edge chops across the chest. O’Grady grabs Simon Starr by the arm and whips him into the ring ropes, before hitting the ropes himself and landing a flying forearm on his opponent to knock him down! With Simon Starr down on the mat, Sean O’Grady rises up to his feet and taunts to the crowd!

Simon Starr tries to crawl to his corner of the ring to make the tag out, but before he can reach the outstretched arm of Darren Starr, Sean O’Grady grabs him by the foot and pulls him back into the middle of the ring. O’Grady takes down Simon Starr with a back suplex before going for a quick cover.

One,

Two,

No! Simon Starr manages to kick out before the three count and save the match for his team! O’Grady looks disappointed at not getting the three count right there, as he rises up to his feet and taunts for his opponent to get up! O’Grady looks for a thrust kick to Simon Starr as he gets to his knees, but Simon Starr ducks the leg of his opponent before countering with a jaw breaker! Simon Starr takes the chance to roll over to his corner of the ring and finally make the tag out to his brother Darren Starr!

The crowd pop as Darren Starr hits the ring and runs through Sean O’Grady with a clothesline as he gets to his feet, before rushing over and landing a dropkick on Tom Flynn to knock him off of the ring apron! O’Grady grabs Darren Starr from behind, but Darren Starr fights back with some back elbows, before turning and landing an inverted neckbreaker on his opponent. The fans cheer for the move from Darren Starr, who quickly follows up with a side Russian leg sweep as O’Grady gets to his feet!

Darren Starr taunts to the crowd, before springing forward as O’Grady gets to his feet and landing a jumping calf kick to take him down to the mat! With O’Grady down, Darren Starr quickly rushes to the corner of the ring and springs to to the top rope! The fans pop as Darren Starr leaps off of the top rope and lands a picture perfect frogsplash on O’Grady before making the cover!

One,

Two,

No! It looked all over right there, but Tom Flynn is in to break up the cover at the very last second! The fans don’t seem too happy at Flynn breaking the cover, as the referee orders him back out of the ring! Darren Starr looks pissed at not getting the three count, before rising up to his feet and signalling for his finishing move!

Darren Starr grabs Sean O’Grady and looks for the ‘Cloaked Gun’ to finish the match, but O’Grady counters with a back heel kick that looked suspiciously like a low blow! The fans give a mixed reaction to the move, as Sean O’Grady rolls across and makes the tag out to Tom Flynn!

Flynn quickly climbs into the ring and ducks under a right hand from Darren Starr, before taking him down with a back breaker! With Darren Starr down, the former bare knuckle brawler Flynn rushes to the opposite corner of the ring and knocks Simon Starr off of the ring apron with a massive right hand! Darren Starr gets to his feet and runs at Tom Flynn, but Flynn grabs him up into the air and lands his spinning spinebuster finishing move on his onrushing opponent, before hooking the leg to make the cover!

One,

Two,

Three!

It’s all over and the Shamrocks pick up a big victory! Sean O’Grady leaps into the ring to celebrate with his partner, as the referee raises the arms of the Shamrocks in the air in victory!

Ringside
The Secret

‘Woke Up This Morning’ by A3 hits the sound system and the fans boo as the gold lights flash around the arena. After a few seconds, Anthony Moretti steps onto the entrance ramp with his hands in the air. Moretti wearing a smart suit, slowly makes his way down the ramp towards the ring, ignoring the boos of the fans. Anthony Moretti cockily steps up onto the ring apron, before climbing through the ropes and into the ring. Acting like the superstar he thinks he is, Anthony Moretti raises both hands in the air, however receives nothing but boos from the fans.

Moretti smirks at the boos as he calls for Natasha Ortiz to hand him the microphone. The music slowly fades out as Moretti waits for the boos to quieten so he can address the crowd.

Anthony Moretti: “For months now I have given Athena the opportunity of a lifetime! I have held her whole life in my hand with the secret that I know about her, but instead of exposing her for what she is and destroying her, I offered to keep it a secret as long as she became a loyal member of Blood Money!”

The fans boo loudly, as footage from two weeks ago is shown where Athena accidentally hit Anthony Moretti in the face with a big boot, costing them their tag team match against Patriot Act. Moretti shakes his head as he watches the footage before addressing the crowd again.

Anthony Moretti: “Well you can see just how my generous offer was treated right there! For weeks now Athena has had second chance after second chance, but no more! Tonight, the secret comes out!”

The fans boo loudly, before quieting down quickly, secretly all wanting to know just what the secret is.

Anthony Moretti: “Now the secret that Athena is desperate to keep under wraps is that Cu….”

‘There And Back’ by Daughtry hits the sound system before Moretti can finish the sentence, and the fans cheer loudly as Athena quickly marches out onto the top of the entrance ramp with a microphone.

Athena: “Moretti! Moretti! Please!”

Moretti laughs as Athena pleads with him from the top of the entrance ramp.

Anthony Moretti: “How fitting that you should be out here to be exposed to all these people that actually cheered you! They won’t be cheering you when they find out about Cur….”

Athena: “ANTHONY! Please don’t do it!”

Anthony Moretti: “Tell me why I shouldn’t? You couldn’t keep your end of this bargain!”

Athena: “How about you give me won last chance… a match at the Vendetta PPV… I win and this stays buried forever, you win and I will stand in front of you and tell the world myself…”

Moretti seems to be thinking about it.

Anthony Moretti: “I like the idea of you having to spill the truth yourself…. But then again why don’t we just get this over with now?”

Athena: “I see. So I guess you don’t have confidence that you can beat me in a match? Hell I will even let you pick the stipulations…”

Moretti doesn’t look very happy about Athena questioning his ability to beat her, and seems to quickly take the bait.

Anthony Moretti: “You’re really something aren’t you. You know what I look forward to having a front row seat to you sniveling and crying when you expose yourself and your secret at the Vendetta PPV, because you can take me and Joe Barone on in a handicap steel cage match! How is that for a stipulation?”

Moretti laughs wildly as Athena takes a deep breath. Her secret is safe for now, but can she really keep it safe for much longer being locked in a steel cage against Joe Barone and Anthony Moretti in a handicap match?

Single Match
Darwin Jones vs. William Vorheez

The arena lights dim as the V-Tron goes dark and several different colored gases start swirling in the middle. As the gases swirl faster the arena is rocked with an explosion from the V-Tron and pyro exploding from the ramp. The swirling gases are replaced by a spinning earth and ‘Evolution’ by Clawfinger fills the arena. The earth continues to spin as pictures of mankind’s greatest accomplishments and tragedies emanate from the spinning globe.

A Cro-Magnon man starts to walk forward evolving with every step it makes raising its arms out to the side, finally ending with Darwin Jones walking forward with his arms spread wide blocking out the view of the earth. Pyro explodes on the entrance ramp as Darwin Jones appears on the entrance ramp arms spread wide. He takes his time to the ring working the crowd into a frenzy. Sliding into the ring he pulls himself up into a corner still working for the crowd.

The arena goes pitch black as the opening guitar riff from “Abominator” by Doyle plays. Smoke billows up from the bottom of the staging area, as green laser lights dance across the stage. Just as the opening riff comes to a close, two large hits of a drum can be heard, and pyro goes off syncing with them. The song dives in, as Vorheez makes his appearance at the top of the ramp. Wearing a long black, sleeveless coat, that has green stitching and it covered in small spikes, as well as a black, beat up, cowboy hat covering his eyes. Vorheez marches slowly down to the ring, his eyes fixated on the ring, looking determined, and focused. As Vorheez climbs onto the ring apron and climbs inside the ring, the lights slowly come up and the music fades.

Both men angrily stare at each other across the ring as the referee runs down the rules of the match before he gets the match started off. However before the referee can even call for the bell to be rung, both men rush across the ring and begin to tear at each other with big right hands! Vorheez lands some massive right hands, clearly still blaming Darwin Jones for costing him the sVo Championship, whilst Darwin Jones fires back with some right hands of his own, looking for revenge for the injury inflicted on his tag team partner Hugo Ryzing!

The referee tries to gain some order so that he can start the match officially, but Jones backs Vorheez towards the ring ropes, before clotheslining the former two time sVo Champion over the top rope! However as Vorheez flips over the top rope, he lands on his feet! Jones quickly pushes the referee aside and jumps out of the ring himself, and the brawl continues!

Both men don’t look like they are backing down as they trade big rights and lefts, before trading taking turns in bouncing each other’s heads off of the security barrier! The referee has finally seen enough as he calls for some help from the back and calls the match off!

The fans boo loudly as security rushes down the entrance ramp towards the ring as Darwin Jones and William Vorheez continue to try and tear lumps out of each other! The security tries to get between the two big men, but Vorheez and Jones knock them away with punches and clotheslines, before turning their offence back on each other!

The fans cheer as the fight continues around the ringside area, until reinforcements rush down the entrance ramp in the form of extra security and referees. Eventually all of the security and referees manage to get between and pull Jones and Vorheez away from each other, as Showdown heads to a commercial break amongst the chaos at ringside!

Friends Turned Enemies

The camera heads backstage to the interview area, where Katie Smith is once again standing by with a microphone in her hand. Alongside Smith this time is Amy Page, the sister of current sVo Owner Jon Page and the manager of Scott Washington and Yoshi Ono.

Katie Smith: “Amy, the problems between Yoshi Ono and Scott Washington are clear for everyone to see recently. Do you think that things have gone past the point of no return for their partnership.”

Page looks at Smith for a few seconds, before rudely snatching the microphone away from the grasp of the interviewer.

Amy Page: “Enough of this stupid questions. Scott and Yoshi have caused their personal rivalry get in the way of business and for me that is inexcusable. We were on the edge of being the most dominant group here in the sVo, and it’s all fallen apart since that Victory Cup match. Well now I got to work out which one of these I want to represent moving forward. I got no interest in managing losers, so at Vendetta 2021 it will be Scott Washington vs. Yoshi Ono in singles action. The winner has the chance for me to consider still managing them… the loser will drift into obscurity for ever…..”

Page goes to hand the microphone back to Katie Smith, but drops it just out of her grasp, before laughing and walking away from the scene.

‘Viva Las Vegas’ by Metal Elvis hits the sound system and the crowd boo as the ‘Welcome to Las Vegas’ sign appears on the giant screen and pyros shoot up from both sides of the entrance ramp. After a few seconds the man himself, Johnny All-Star steps out onto the top of the entrance ramp and throws his arms in the air. All-Star makes his way through the pyros down towards the ring. All-Star salutes to the fans that boo his name as he climbs into the ring and jumps to the second rope of the nearest turnbuckle. All-Star throws his arms in the air and gets even more boos from his hometown fans as he unstraps the sVo Championship from his waist and holds it high in the air.

The familiar riff of AC/DC’s Thunderstruck fills the arena. As the pyro goes off on the entranceway Flip Dixon explodes onto the entrance ramp, just like his dad, shooting off his own pyro from a gun. The fans are on their feet cheering and shout ‘Flip, Flip, Flip!’ as Dixon drops the pyro gun and runs down to the ring slapping hands with the fans and giving devil horns. He slides into the ring under the bottom rope and proceeds to take off his shirt and pose for the crowd as he gets ready for the match.

The referee calls for the bell to be rung, and the sVo Champion has a large smirk on his face as he stares across the ring at the son of the man that he will face at the Vendetta 2021 PPV with the Championship on the line! Flip Dixon doesn’t look intimidated by the Champion, despite having previously stepped in the squared circle once with All Star and lost.

Dixon and All Star move slowly towards each other in the middle of the ring, and the crowd boo as the sVo Champion slaps his opponent across the face! All Star laughs, but Flip Dixon fires up and lands some big right hands to the Champion! The fans cheer Dixon on as he backs All Star against the ropes with big right hands, before grabbing All Star by the arm and attempting to Irish whip him across the ring. However All Star reverses the Irish whip and sends Flip Dixon into the ring ropes, before taking him down with a massive clothesline as he bounces back.

Flip Dixon staggers back up to his feet, but All Star takes him down with an atomic drop in the middle of the ring, before stomping away on the back of the son of Gunner Lang. All Star drops down and rubs Dixon’s face in the mat in a show of disrespect. The fans boo loudly towards their former hero, but All Star waves them off before retreating to the corner of the ring and signalling for his finishing move!

All Star waits for Dixon to get to his feet, before running at him and aiming for the ‘Touchdown’! However Flip Dixon leaps over the on rushing All Star, and the Champion crashes into the turnbuckle! The fans pop as All Star stumbles backwards looking stunned, and Flip Dixon rolls the Champion up in a school boy roll up!

One,

Two,

No!

Just when it looked like Flip Dixon might score a shock victory, All Star kicks out! All Star rises up to his feet and quickly shakes off the cobwebs, before powerfully taking down Flip Dixon with a double leg takedown and hammering him with mounted punches! The referee has to check that Flip Dixon can still fight, as All Star continues the ground and pound, before pulling Dixon to his feet!

All Star lands a snap suplex on the kid, but keeps ahold of Dixon and pulls him straight back up to a standing position to land a second snap suplex! All Star rises up to his feet and still looks angry at Flip Dixon getting the near fall on him. The powerful former footballer waits for Dixon to get to his feet, before running through him with a massive clothesline!

Dixon lays on the mat and it looks like the sVo Champion could walk over at any second and make the easy cover, however All Star instead poses for the fans and soaks in the loud boos! Flip Dixon struggles to a standing position as the referee checks on him to make sure he is ok to continue! All Star turns and runs at Dixon, taking him clean off of his feet with a massive ‘Touchdown’ in the middle of the ring! However instead of making the cover, All Star begins another ground and pound assault on Flip Dixon, reigning down right hands!

The referee waits for a few seconds, before quickly seeing that Flip Dixon can no longer defend himself and calling for the bell to be rung! However All Star doesn’t seem to even hear the bell ring and he continues to reign down right hands on the face of Flip Dixon! The referee tries to pull the sVo Champion away, but Johnny All Star is a man possessed!

Winner via TKO: Johnny All Star

Keeping it in the Family

Johnny All Star continues to pound away with right hands on the lifeless body of Flip Dixon, before the referee finally manages to pull him away from his opponent. The fans boo loudly as All Star angrily jumps back up to his feet and floors the official with a big right hand! All Star rounds back around on Flip Dixon who is still motionless, but as he does there is a big pop from the crowd as down the entrance ramp sprints All Star’s Horizon team mate Gunner Lang!

Lang dives head first into the ring and takes Johnny All Star down with a double leg takedown! All Star and Lang trade right hands in the middle of the ring, until down the entrance ramp limps JD James, still suffering the effects of his leg injury a few months ago.

JD tries to get between the pair, but as he does Lang and All Star both inadvertently knock down the leader of Horizon! All Star and Lang quickly go back to trading right hands, but as Lang begins to get the upper hand of the Champion, the lights in the arena suddenly cut, just like they did at the Ultimate Victory PPV!

There is confusion in the arena for a good few minutes, until the lights are restored and Johnny All Star is left as the only man standing in the ring! All Star smirks as he looks down at Gunner Lang who is laid out in front of him, as JD James tries to get back up to his feet, a look of confusion on his face as Showdown heads off of the air!
