Interview with Joey Peyton – 4th October 2007
By Candi Cross
CANDI CROSS – What first attracted you to the sVo?
JOEY PEYTON – The clean slate. Through my life, I’ve always had records of a horrible past but I saw an opportunity, that opportunity my friend was sVo.
CANDI CROSS – How do you rate your chances in the Victory Cup competition that you are competing in?
JOEY PEYTON – I don’t believe in chances, I believe in skill and heart. Comparing to the rest of the sVo’s superstars, I’m a major leaguer in a minor league, baby.
CANDI CROSS – Do you think that joint owners Jon Page and Jimmy Moretti will be able to stay out of the spotlight, or will there feud re-ignite leading to chaos in the sVo?
JOEY PEYTON – History repeats itself, these aren’t two pushovers. I believe whatever happens will only make this federation more exciting for the fans and viewers. Whatever decisions may arise, I’m sticking to my guns and will play it by ear.
CANDI CROSS – Your on the roster with some talented guys, who do you see as your biggest rival in the sVo?
JOEY PEYTON – I’d probably say Santos Rockwell. The man is talented in so many ways, some I will admit I wish to obtain but nonetheless I go for the best in order to achieve best of the best.
CANDI CROSS – The sVo is based in Las Vegas where the owners have basically struck a deal with the local governor where anything goes on their shows. How would you like to see the sVo take advantage of this?
JOEY PEYTON – Bring the dancers to my room. In all seriousness, I think this a big thing. We are taking over a boxing heartland and bringing wrestling in, I’m sure the bets will go wild when sVo quickly gains respect in the city.
CANDI CROSS – Showdown is the first ever sVo show and everyone will be wanting to make a big impact, do you have anything special planned to make you stand out from the rest?
JOEY PEYTON – I plan on being all over the place. I’ll be the superstar at the ticket lines waving and signing things for the fans, I’m surely going to do some sVo advertising someday, I mean c’mon look at me, I am a god.
CANDI CROSS – sVo is a rookie promotion, but you have been around for a while, what is your biggest achievement so far in your wrestling career?
JOEY PEYTON – To explain all my achievements will take hours, I’m more concerned about my achievements in sVo. No one cares what past you’ve had because majority won’t ever know if it’s true or not. I’ll let my actions speak more than my words.
CANDI CROSS – If you could bring one person from your past into the sVo who would it be and why?
JOEY PEYTON – It would be my half sister, Heaven. She recently died leaving me with no family. Nevertheless, I’m sure she will be smiling down at me every time I come down to the ring.
