MUSIC HITS
The opening video concludes as a burst of lights and pyrotechnics erupts over the entrance stage of the Goodfellas Casino Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The camera sweeps across the packed crowd, showing off the high-definition LED screens surrounding the ring.
The camera cuts to the commentary table, featuring Jeremiah Sloan and Julian Fiasco.
JEREMIAH SLOAN: Welcome, everyone, to a massive edition of sVo Showdown, live from the Goodfellas Casino Arena! I’m Jeremiah Sloan, joined by Julian Fiasco , and Julian, we have four huge matches tonight, the Quarterfinals of the Victory Cup, all leading to our colossal Ultimate Victory PPV next month!
JULIAN FIASCO: It doesn’t get any bigger, Jeremiah! The Victory Cup is career-changing gold. The stakes are through the roof. Tonight is all about who has the skill, the desire, and let’s be honest, the ruthless streak to make it to the semi-finals. We’re talking about men who will do anything to win.
JEREMIAH SLOAN: No doubt about that, Julian. Our night kicks off with two fan favourites squaring off, as “The Wild West Warrior” Jake Blackwood goes one-on-one with “The Icon” Jay Adder!
JULIAN FIASCO: Jay Adder is a ring general, Jeremiah , a twenty-year veteran , and Jake Blackwood, for all his charisma, has never been in the ring with a man this savvy. This is going to be a technical masterpiece, but I’m backing the veteran.
JEREMIAH SLOAN: And we certainly can’t overlook the main event tonight, a war between two absolute powerhouses! Joe Barone, “The Problem Solver” , of Blood Money, takes on the vicious “Bully” Danny Domino! A former sVo Champion versus the enforcer of the Blood Money group!
JULIAN FIASCO: That one, I’m genuinely looking forward to. Domino is loud, cruel, and thrives on intimidation. Barone? He’s cold, loyal, and ruthless. He’s not chasing titles, but he is protecting his family’s interests. The loser of that one might not walk out of the arena, Jeremiah!
JEREMIAH SLOAN: That match is going to be pure carnage! But first, let’s head to the ring for our opening contest! The first Quarterfinal match of the Victory Cup is moments away!
Victory Cup Match
Jake Blackwood vs. Jay Adder
The lights dim, replaced by a single spotlight focused on the entrance ramp.
Camera tightly focused on the entrance ramp.
RING ANNOUNCER (VO): The following contest is a Quarterfinal Match in the Victory Cup, and it is scheduled for one fall!
A loud, abrasive rock theme hits. The crowd immediately begins to boo.
JEREMIAH SLOAN: That is the sound of discord, Julian. Here comes one half of the despicable Generation Joint, Jay Adder!
JULIAN FIASCO: “Despicable”? The man is a professional, Jeremiah! A veteran! He’s a ring general, and he’s bringing his partner, Jacob Izaz, with him, and I don’t blame him! This is a war, and you bring your army!
VISUALS: JAY ADDER walks out, flanked by JACOB IZAZ. Adder is wearing dark gear, a smirk on his face. He dramatically stops on the ramp and sneers at the crowd, pointing to the Victory Cup graphic on the screen. Izaz has a towel and a bottle of water, already looking for trouble at ringside.
RING ANNOUNCER (VO): Accompanied to the ring by Jacob Izaz… he is “The Icon”… JAY AAAAAAD-DER!
JEREMIAH SLOAN: Adder is a savvy competitor, but he’s never won a major singles tournament like this. He’s going to use every dirty trick in the book, and you can bet Izaz will be helping him.
JULIAN FIASCO: Veteran strategy, Jeremiah!
Adder slides into the ring, immediately exits the opposite side to stall, demanding the referee Brett Lukas check Blackwood’s gear before he even comes out. Izaz sets up a chair for himself outside the ring.
Camera cuts to the stage as the arena lights flash red and blue. A modern country-rock hybrid theme explodes, eliciting a massive pop from the crowd.
JEREMIAH SLOAN: Here we go! The Wild West Warrior! The fan favorite, Jake Blackwood! The energy in the Goodfellas Casino Arena just went through the roof!
RING ANNOUNCER (VO): And his opponent! From the Great State of Texas! “The Wild West Warrior”… JAKE BLAACK-WOOD!
JAKE BLACKWOOD sprints onto the stage, wearing his signature leather vest. He runs down the ramp, high-fiving fans. He poses on the turnbuckle, soaking in the cheers.
JULIAN FIASCO: Oh, please. Look at this showboating. He’s smiling like this is a picnic! This is the Victory Cup Quarterfinals, kid! You shouldn’t be high-fiving children, you should be focused! Adder is going to teach him a lesson about respect and veteran superiority.
JEREMIAH SLOAN: That ‘kid’ is Jake Blackwood, Julian, one of the most exciting young athletes in the sVo. He’s here to win, and he knows how to handle a dirty player like Adder.
Bell rings. The referee calls for the men to lock up.
Adder circles, still jawing at the crowd. Blackwood is eager, trying to force a lock-up. They finally lock up. Blackwood overpowers Adder, forcing him into the corner. Referee Brett Lukas steps in to break them. As Blackwood backs off, Adder delivers a cheap shot—a closed-fist blow to the stomach—that the referee just misses.
JEREMIAH SLOAN: Ooh! A dirty shot from Jay Adder! Right in the breadbasket! That’s the kind of competitor he is!
JULIAN FIASCO: Smart wrestling! Blackwood needs to be ready!
Adder takes control, stomping Blackwood down. He cinches in a side headlock, trying to slow the pace to a crawl. Blackwood powers up, shoving Adder into the ropes. Blackwood attempts a clothesline, but Adder ducks under, pulling the top rope down. Blackwood has to stop or risk tumbling out.
Adder hits a Snap DDT, spiking Blackwood’s head into the mat. (NEAR FALL: 1-2-NO!) Adder begins targeting Blackwood’s knee, locking in a heel hook submission. Blackwood screams in pain. While the referee is checking on Blackwood, JACOB IZAZ sneaks up to the apron and delivers a vicious eye rake to Blackwood. The referee turns around just as Izaz hops off the apron, feigning innocence.
JULIAN FIASCO: Oh, what a brilliant counter from Adder! He saw Blackwood trying to escape the hold and just yanked on the face!
JEREMIAH SLOAN: You know Izaz was involved, Julian! That was disgusting! Referee Lukas is too busy trying to maintain order with Adder that he missed the outside interference!
Adder drags Blackwood to the corner, delivering repeated shoulder thrusts. He trash-talks the face, calling him a “rookie.” Adder attempts a running knee in the corner, but Blackwood dodges at the last second. Adder crashes hard into the turnbuckle pad. Blackwood springs to life! He hits a Running Knee Strike of his own, dropping Adder! Blackwood fires up, hitting a series of quick clotheslines, a dropkick, and then executing a picture-perfect Tornado DDT!
JEREMIAH SLOAN: There’s the Wild West Warrior we know! That Tornado DDT folds Adder in half! (NEAR FALL: 1-2-KICK OUT!)
JULIAN FIASCO: Adder is tough, Jeremiah! He survived! This veteran has more lives than a Vegas cat!
Blackwood goes to the outside and sizes up Adder. He hits the ropes and flies over with a Plancha to the Outside, wiping out Adder! The crowd is on its feet! Camera follows Blackwood’s flight, rapid zoom on the impact, followed by a wide shot of the two men down on the floor.
Blackwood tosses Adder back into the ring. He signals for the end. Izaz jumps onto the apron to distract Blackwood. Blackwood pushes Izaz off with a forearm, sending him tumbling to the floor. Adder uses the moment to try and roll up Blackwood from behind, grabbing a fistful of Blackwood’s tights! (NEAR FALL: 1-2-KICK OUT!)
JEREMIAH SLOAN: Adder tried to steal it! Brett Lukas saw the tights!
As both men scramble to their feet, Adder charges. Blackwood reacts instinctively, hitting a Tilt-a-Whirl Arm Drag that sends Adder reeling. Adder stumbles backward, completely disoriented. Blackwood takes one step back, spins, and connects flush with the SIX SHOOTER (Superkick)! It connects right under Adder’s chin!
JEREMIAH SLOAN: SIX SHOOTER! Goodnight, Jay Adder!
Adder collapses flat on his back. Blackwood hooks the leg.
REFEREE BRETT LUKAS: ONE! … TWO! … THREE!
BELL RINGS
Blackwood’s music hits. Referee raises Blackwood’s arm. Camera focuses on Blackwood celebrating, then cuts to a close-up of Izaz screaming in frustration at ringside.
RING ANNOUNCER (VO): Here is your winner, and advancing to the Semi-Finals of the Victory Cup… JAKE BLAACK-WOOD!
JEREMIAH SLOAN: He did it! The Wild West Warrior overcomes the cheap tactics and the veteran savvy of Jay Adder and is moving on in the Victory Cup tournament! What a performance!
JULIAN FIASCO: Unbelievable! A fluke! Izaz should have been allowed more time! This is a travesty! Adder will be filing an appeal, you mark my words!
JEREMIAH SLOAN: You can appeal all you want, Julian. The scoreboard says Jake Blackwood is victorious, and he is one step closer to Ultimate Victory! We’ll be right back!
Backstage
We cut to a dark, industrial backstage corridor. The camera is handheld, giving it a gritty, documentary feel. A sleek, black luxury SUV pulls up sharply to a service entrance. The back door is opened by a sharply dressed but imposing figure, JUNIOR GAMBINO.
JEREMIAH SLOAN: We are now heading backstage, where the main event players are arriving.
JULIAN FIASCO: And here come the men who run the sVo… whether the sVo likes it or not. The muscle of Blood Money.
Out of the car steps JOE BARONE, looking impeccably tailored in a dark suit, his tie loosened. He carries himself with quiet menace. He is flanked by JUNIOR GAMBINO and the equally intimidating NICKY COLUMBO.
Katie Smith, the sVo Lead Interviewer, steps into the frame with a microphone, her expression serious but determined.
KATIE SMITH: Joe Barone, if I could just have a moment of your time.
Barone barely glances at her, continuing to walk towards a private locker room, the two Blood Money members forming a wall around him.
JOE BARONE: (Voice is low, gravelly, and commanding) Not interested, doll. I got a quarterfinal match tonight. Biggest one of the year.
KATIE SMITH: It is the Quarterfinals, yes, and you’re facing a man many call a monster, ‘The Bully’ Danny Domino. He is known for leaving opponents in hospital wards, not just losing matches. Does that at all concern the de facto boss of Blood Money?
Barone stops abruptly, causing Gambino and Columbo to halt their movement. He finally looks directly at Smith, a faint, almost chilling smile on his lips.
JOE BARONE: Concern? No. Katie, you gotta understand something about the game we play. Danny Domino? He’s a hammer. Loud. Destructive. He hits hard. He bleeds. He talks. I know what he is.
He adjusts his suit jacket with a deliberate movement.
JOE BARONE: But Blood Money? We aren’t hammers. We’re the foundation. We absorb the shock. We withstand the storm. And when he thinks he’s finally broken through, that’s when we crush his skull with the cornerstones. Domino wants to come to the ring and be a bully? Tonight, he’s going to find out that a bully only survives until he meets someone who doesn’t play by the rules. Tonight, ‘The Problem Solver’ shows ‘The Bully’ exactly what a real problem looks like.
JULIAN FIASCO: Oh, that is chilling! Joe Barone is a different kind of animal, Jeremiah!
JEREMIAH SLOAN: He’s radiating confidence, Julian, but Domino doesn’t back down from anyone. This main event is going to be a brutal clash of styles!
KATIE SMITH: (Standing her ground) And if you lose, Joe? What does a loss in the Victory Cup mean for the perceived power of Blood Money on the eve of Ultimate Victory?
Barone leans in close to Smith, his voice dropping lower, full of steel.
JOE BARONE: We don’t lose, Katie. We eliminate obstacles. Domino? He’s an obstacle. This Cup? It’s collateral.
He takes one last look at the camera, a predatory look in his eyes, then turns and walks into the private locker room, Gambino and Columbo slamming the door shut behind him.
Camera holds on the closed door for a beat, then fades to a graphic promoting the main event.
Victory Cup Match
Jacob Izaz vs. Alex Sterling
The lights dim, replaced by a single spotlight focused on the entrance ramp. The Ring Announcer’s voice booms through the arena, declaring the match as the second Quarterfinal in the Victory Cup. The abrasive rock theme of Generation Joint hits, drawing boos and confused chatter from the crowd.
“That is the sound of discord, Julian,” Jeremiah Sloan comments.
“Here come the men who run the sVo… whether the sVo likes it or not,” Julian Fiasco counters, referring to Jacob Izaz, who walks out aggressively, visibly fuming about his stablemate Jay Adder’s earlier loss.
Adder accompanies him, nursing his neck from the ‘Six Shooter’ and arguing with a production assistant. Fiasco insists Izaz, a “hard-hitting technician,” is focused and motivated to prevent a complete failure for Generation Joint.
Izaz slides into the ring, intensely pointing at the Victory Cup graphic. His music abruptly cuts, replaced by a pulsing, arrogant electronic theme.
“And here comes the former sVo Las Vegas Champion, Alex Sterling!” Sloan announces. Sterling struts out in expensive, silver-trimmed gear, acknowledging the crowd with an arrogant shrug, looking supremely confident.
Fiasco notes that Sterling “often gets caught up in his own hype” and needs to focus on the dangerous Izaz.
The bell rings, and the two men circle. Izaz is immediately aggressive, hitting a stiff European Uppercut to drop Sterling to a knee. Izaz dominates the opening minutes with a heavy, mat-based attack, focusing on quick strikes to the back and ribs. Sterling, struggling, manages a high-speed roll-up for a near fall.
He gets up and catches a charging Izaz with a precise Spinning Heel Kick. Sterling tries to take control, hitting quick elbows and going for a Springboard Moonsault, but Izaz quickly gets his knees up to block. Sterling screams in pain, clutching his midsection.
At ringside, Jay Adder seizes the opportunity, screaming at Referee Brett Lukas about a non-existent rope break. While Lukas is briefly distracted, Izaz delivers a vicious Throat Thrust to the recovering Sterling.
Fiasco calls it “textbook wrestling,” while Sloan labels it “textbook cheating.” Izaz capitalizes, hitting a powerful Samoan Drop, then locking in a Chinlock Submission to drain Sterling’s stamina.
Sterling fights back, escaping the hold and hitting a succession of forearms, followed by a Diving Crossbody. He then climbs the turnbuckle for a high-risk move, but Adder leaps onto the apron and violently shakes the ropes, causing Sterling to crash hard to the mat.
“That is blatant! That should be a disqualification!” Sloan yells. Referee Lukas, having seen enough, firmly ejects Adder from ringside. An enraged Adder argues but is escorted to the back by security, much to the fury of Izaz.
Izaz, distracted by his partner’s ejection, turns back around and walks right into a huge Clothesline from Sterling. Sterling is now fired up, attempting his Rolling Elbow, but Izaz ducks, attempting a desperate schoolboy pin for another near fall.
Both men pop up. Izaz throws a wild punch, which Sterling ducks, spinning and connecting with the FLASH KICK(Superkick) flush on Izaz’s jaw.
“FLASH KICK! Sterling catches him!” Sloan shouts.
Izaz drops instantly, knocked completely out. Sterling covers the fallen man. ONE! … TWO! … THREE! The bell rings.
Alex Sterling is announced as the winner, advancing to the Semi-Finals of the Victory Cup. Fiasco bemoans the “misery” and “complete and utter failure” of Generation Joint, while Sloan points out that Sterling “capitalises on the chaos… and moves one step closer to Ultimate Victory!”
Backstage
THE SCENE: A brightly lit, sparsely decorated sVo backstage interview area. The sVo Lead Interviewer, KATIE SMITH, stands with microphone in hand, giving a nod to the camera. Next to her is the sVo Las Vegas Champion, JASON MARTEL.
KATIE SMITH: Welcome back to Showdown. I’m joined now by the Las Vegas Champion, Jason Martel, just moments away from his Victory Cup Quarterfinal against ‘The Iron Fist’ Cade Turner. Jason, Turner has the MMA background and the size advantage. Are you confident going into this high-stakes match?
JASON MARTEL: Katie, in Vegas, you bet on yourself. And right now, I’m the biggest sure thing on the whole Strip. Cade Turner is tough, I won’t deny that. He’s got the discipline of a soldier, he’s got the strikes of a fighter. But he’s a bully who needs to be taken down a peg. I’ve lived the hustle of this city my whole life, I’ve seen all the tricks. I didn’t get this far, I didn’t win this title, by backing down from a bully.
KATIE SMITH: That’s a very confident statement, Champion. But the Victory Cup is stacked with main event talent, and you’re talking about beating Turner, then winning the entire tournament.
JASON MARTEL: You’re right. I’m not just talking about winning the Victory Cup. I’m talking about taking over the sVo. This Las Vegas Championship —this is just the beginning. I’m going to beat Cade Turner tonight, I’m going to win the entire Victory Cup, and then I’m coming for the biggest prize of all: the sVo Championship. I’m going to hold both belts at the same time, because I am The Ace of Vegas , I am the High Stakes Hero, and in my city, the house always wins. And baby, I’m the house.
Jason Martel gives a confident, determined look to the camera before walking briskly out of the frame. Katie Smith watches him go, nodding thoughtfully.
KATIE SMITH: The champion certainly has his work cut out for him, but his confidence is undeniable.
Victory Cup Match
Jason Martel vs. Cade Turner
The broadcast cuts to the Goodfellas Casino Arena. The atmosphere is electric , illuminated by the marquee’s shimmering lights.
JEREMIAH SLOAN (Commentator): Welcome back to ringside, fans, and what a Quarterfinal match we have here in the Victory Cup! The rising star, Jason Martel, puts his body on the line against the sheer brutality of Cade Turner.
JULIAN FIASCO (Commentator): That’s right, Sloan, and I can tell you from experience : talent will only get Martel so far. Turner is not here to have a wrestling match; he’s here to destroy.
The lights dim as a hard, aggressive anthem hits the sound system. CADE ‘THE IRON FIST’ TURNER strides out, wearing his typical menacing scowl. He wears taped fists and stares down the audience with a cold, unforgiving glare. The crowd is immediately on him with thunderous boos.
JEREMIAH SLOAN: Just look at him. He is fueled by contempt, bringing that MMA background into the sVo ring. He is pure violence, and he thrives on the audience’s hatred. He always calls things straight, and right now, Cade Turner is one of the most dangerous men in this company.
JULIAN FIASCO: And he loves it, Jerry. He’s got his eyes set on that Cup. He’ll beat Martel, he’ll beat anyone, to prove he’s the ultimate weapon.
Turner stands like a statue in the ring. The lights shift to bright gold and red, and the music changes to an energetic, driving track. The crowd erupts for the hometown favorite, JASON MARTEL. He slaps hands with fans, radiating energy and genuine charisma, before vaulting over the top rope into the center of the ring. He is wearing his Las Vegas Championship belt around his waist.
JEREMIAH SLOAN: And here is our Las Vegas Champion! He’s got the look, he’s got the skill , and he has the heart of this city. He walks out here knowing that belt makes him a target, but he is ready for the high stakes.
JULIAN FIASCO: He’s flashy. Too flashy. Confidence is a candle in this business, Jerry—Turner is the flamethrower. Martel is going to learn that lesson tonight.
The bell rings. Referee Brett Lukas signals for the start of the match.
JEREMIAH SLOAN: And we are underway!
The two men circle. Martel is quick and bounces on his feet, while Turner is methodical, keeping his guard up like an MMA fighter. Martel darts in for a quick low kick, but Turner checks it and shoves Martel hard into the corner.
JULIAN FIASCO: Size and strength matter, Jerry. Turner is establishing dominance early.
Turner follows up with a series of brutal, stiff Ground and Pound forearm strikes. He pulls Martel out, transitions, and delivers a jarring Takedown Slam. Cover! Only a two-count.
JEREMIAH SLOAN: A devastating sequence from ‘The Iron Fist’. He is targeting that mid-section, wearing down the stamina of the high-flyer.
Turner pulls Martel up, locking in a waist-lock, but Martel, refusing to be out-powered, reverses into a snap-DDT! He pops back up immediately, sensing his moment. Turner is stunned. Martel hits the ropes, launches, and connects with a Running Shooting Star Press to the standing Turner! The champion covers! ONE! TWO! Kick out!
JULIAN FIASCO: A nearfall! And I have to admit, that was pure athleticism from Martel, but he needs to slow the pace and save his energy. Turner is going to make him pay for taking those risks.
Turner gets to his knees, clutching his ribs. Martel measures him, sprints to the corner, and hits the Springboard Tornado DDT! Turner is rocked, stumbling to the center of the ring. Martel sees his chance. He climbs the ropes, taking a deep breath and pointing to the sky!
JEREMIAH SLOAN: Martel is going to the top! He’s looking for the finish!
Martel leaps for the Vegas Jackpot —but Turner catches him in mid-air, spinning him around into a crushing Razor Edge spinebuster! Martel folds upon impact!
JULIAN FIASCO: YES! That is the difference! The Iron Fist just shut down the entire casino!
Turner hooks the legs, but Martel kicks out just as the referee’s hand hits the mat for two! Turner immediately transitions! He locks in the most dangerous move in his arsenal: the IRON LOCK! He wrenches back on the neck, driving his forearm into the jaw.
JEREMIAH SLOAN: This is it! The submission! Martel has nowhere to go! He’s caught, Julian, he’s caught in the Python’s squeeze!
JULIAN FIASCO: Tap out, kid! Save yourself! That crossface will break his jaw!
Martel screams in agony, desperately trying to crawl to the ropes. He is shaking, his eyes wide. Turner is relentless, pulling back with all his might. Martel struggles, reaching, inching, but the pressure is too much. His hand drops once, twice—
But at the last second, Martel uses his agility, rolling his body just enough to use the ropes as leverage, flipping out of the hold! He shoves Turner off with his feet! Turner, frustrated, stumbles back, shouting.
JEREMIAH SLOAN: He survived! The heart of the Ace of Vegas is undeniable!
Turner charges again, but Martel drops low. As Turner turns, Martel connects with a lightning-quick Spinning Heel Kick! Turner reels. Martel wastes no time, using the ropes to springboard back toward Turner. He catches him cleanly on the jaw! VEGAS JACKPOT! CORKSCREW NECKBREAKER FROM THE TOP ROPE! It connects perfectly! Martel rolls over, covering for the pin!
JEREMIAH SLOAN: ONE! TWO! THREE!
JASON MARTEL WINS! The arena explodes. The Las Vegas Champion is moving on in the Victory Cup!
JEREMIAH SLOAN: Martel does it! Against the odds, the High Stakes Hero is going to the semi-finals! He proved that heart and agility can beat brutality.
JULIAN FIASCO: Pure luck, Jerry! Pure, unadulterated luck! Turner had him dead to rights! This is a disgrace!
Jason Martel clutches his title and raises his hand in triumph, wincing slightly as he touches his neck, but celebrating the hard-fought victory as Cade Turner sits up on the mat, scowling with pure, unfiltered rage. The camera zooms in on Martel as he points toward the sVo Victory Cup banner hanging high in the rafters.
Backstage
The backstage interview area is buzzing with activity. KATIE SMITH stands center frame, holding the microphone, ready to interview the sVo Champion, KENNETH D. WILLIAMS. Williams is immaculate in a sharp suit, the sVo Championship belt resting proudly over his shoulder. He smiles with an air of relaxed confidence.
KATIE SMITH: Welcome back. I’m joined now by the sVo Champion, Kenneth D. Williams. Champion, the ring action tonight has been dominated by the Victory Cup Quarterfinals, but you’re not in the tournament. What’s it like watching the field narrow down from the sidelines?
KENNETH D. WILLIAMS: Katie, honestly? It’s been fantastic. I’m enjoying the show just as much as every fan in the arena. I love seeing the intensity, the ambition, and the hunger from these guys. It’s great drama! They’re all scrapping and clawing for a shot at this gold, and I respect the effort they’re putting in. But let’s be honest, Katie—what they’re doing right now? That’s the undercard.
KATIE SMITH: The undercard? A chance to main event Ultimate Victory and challenge for that title is hardly an undercard match, Champion.
KENNETH D. WILLIAMS: Oh, the Cup is a big deal, don’t misunderstand me. It’s a stepping stone. But the real big match, the one that sells the tickets, the one that makes the history books, is already signed, sealed, and delivered. The biggest match on October 26th at Ultimate Victory is when I step into the ring and defend this against Carlos Vasquez.
KATIE SMITH: The ‘Miami Maverick’ has certainly earned his place as your challenger. He’s been on a tear, and he’s promised to make you regret ever calling yourself ‘The Ace’ of this company. Are you prepared for the fire he’s going to bring?
KENNETH D. WILLIAMS: Prepared? Katie, I am the standard! Carlos Vasquez is dangerous, he’s passionate, and he’s had a great run—I’ll give him that. He’s got that Miami fire. But the thing about fire is, you need structure and control to contain it. And I am the most structurally sound, the most fundamentally dominant champion this company has ever seen. On October 26th, his momentum, his passion, his little ‘Maverick’ attitude… it all comes to an end.
KENNETH D. WILLIAMS: Vasquez is going to bring his absolute best, and I am going to thank him for the effort, then I am going to plant him flat on his back, and I am going to beat the ‘Miami Maverick’ ONE, TWO, THREE! I walk out of Ultimate Victory exactly the way I walk in: the undisputed, unmovable sVo Champion.
Williams gives a slight, assured tilt of his head, tapping the belt on his shoulder as he maintains eye contact with the camera, his confidence unwavering.
KATIE SMITH: A bold prediction from the sVo Champion. The clash with Carlos Vasquez is certainly one to watch at Ultimate Victory. Back to you, commentators.
Victory Cup Match
Joe Barone vs. Danny Domino
The broadcast returns to the Goodfellas Casino Arena. The lights are a dark, intimidating crimson.
JEREMIAH SLOAN: We are here for the final Quarterfinal of the night! The winner moves one step closer to the main event of Ultimate Victory!
JULIAN FIASCO: This match is going to be a war of attrition, Jerry. Two absolute brutes who specialize in taking shortcuts. You’ve got Joe Barone, the enforcer for Blood Money, against the despicable Danny Domino!
The familiar, discordant siren of Blood Money’s entrance music hits. The crowd immediately begins to jeer with venom. JOE BARONE, a mountain of muscle with a cold, focused expression, marches down the aisle, flanked by his associates, JUNIOR GAMBINO and NICKY COLUMBO. Barone barely acknowledges the crowd, his eyes locked on the ring.
JEREMIAH SLOAN: Barone looks ready for battle. And as always, he’s got the full insurance policy of Blood Money at his side. This tournament is the single most important thing to Junior Gambino and the entire stable right now.
JULIAN FIASCO: They need that main event spot, Jerry. If Barone wins the Cup, Blood Money controls the entire landscape of the sVo!
Barone slides into the ring, taking a deliberate, menacing stance. Gambino and Columbo take up position at ringside.
The arena lights go black. A heavy, industrial track begins to pound through the speakers. ‘THE BULLY’ DANNY DOMINO stomps out onto the ramp, a look of pure, arrogant disgust plastered across his face. He’s wearing his signature vest and chain, and he takes his time walking, stopping only to shout an insult at a fan ringside.
JEREMIAH SLOAN: And here is Danny Domino. They call him ‘The Bully’ for a reason, Julian. This man delights in the suffering of others, and he has zero regard for the rules.
JULIAN FIASCO: He’s a winner, Jerry! And against Barone, a man who lives by the same code, we are going to see a desperate attempt to win, no matter the cost!
Domino rips off his vest and shoves the Referee, Brett Lukas, out of his way, glaring at Barone across the ring. The bell rings, and the final Quarterfinal is officially underway.
Both men charge immediately, meeting in the center of the ring with a head-to-head collision that sounds like two trucks hitting. They trade stiff forearm shivers and heavy rights. Barone backs Domino into the corner, delivering a brutal series of shoulder thrusts that shake the turnbuckle.
JEREMIAH SLOAN: This is a slugfest from the start! No feeling-out process here, just pure aggression!
Barone Irish Whips Domino across the ring, but Domino reverses, sending Barone crashing hard into the opposing corner! Domino charges and connects with a Running Clothesline that almost turns Barone inside out! Barone stumbles, and Domino wastes no time, driving a series of stiff Kicks to the Gut, followed by a rake of the eyes that the Referee misses!
JULIAN FIASCO: Ah, the old ‘eye-poke-missed-by-the-referee’ special! A classic cheating move! I love it!
Domino follows up with a heavy Powerslam and immediately covers. ONE! TWO! Barone kicks out, his power too great to be held down so early. Domino argues with the referee, screaming about a slow count, allowing Junior Gambinoto slide in a steel chain to Barone.
JEREMIAH SLOAN: Oh, look at Blood Money ringside! Gambino just slipped a foreign object to Barone! The ref’s still distracted by Domino!
Barone quickly pockets the chain in his wrist tape. Domino turns and charges, but Barone ducks and delivers a sharp Low Blow—illegal, but unseen by the still-arguing Referee Lukas! Domino crumples to the mat, grabbing his groin.
JULIAN FIASCO: Beautifully executed misdirection! Barone just took out Domino’s manhood! Now put him away!
Barone pulls out the chain, wrapping it around his fist. He waits for Domino to stand, ready to deliver a knockout blow. But before he can strike, Nicky Columbo gets up on the apron, shouting instructions! Domino turns and delivers a massive Bicycle Kick to Barone, sending the chain skittering across the ring!
JEREMIAH SLOAN: Domino saw the cheating coming! He intercepted the attempt! And now he’s got the upper hand!
Domino sees the chain. He retrieves it, wrapping it around his boot. He stomps over to a dazed Barone, but the Referee sees the chain, and charges at Domino, trying to pry the weapon away! They engage in a tug-of-war for the chain.
JULIAN FIASCO: This match has devolved into absolute chaos! The referee has lost control!
While the Referee and Domino are focused on the chain, Junior Gambino slides into the ring and attacks Domino from behind! Gambino delivers a heavy DDT!
JEREMIAH SLOAN: Interference! Gambino is in the ring! This is a disqualification!
The referee turns just in time to see Gambino sliding out of the ring. He checks on Domino, shaking his head.
JULIAN FIASCO: No, Jerry, the referee didn’t see the contact! He just saw Barone’s teammate leaving the ring. The match continues!
Barone takes advantage, hitting a thunderous Spinebuster on the reeling Domino. He locks in a deep Sleeper Hold! The crowd noise swells as Domino begins to fade. Referee Lukas raises Domino’s arm—it drops once, twice—
But at the last moment, Domino shoves the referee away, waking himself up in the process! He then drives his head back, connecting with Barone’s jaw! Barone releases the hold, stunned. Domino sees his opportunity.
Domino charges the ropes, leaping over the top rope to the outside! He delivers a massive Plancha that wipes out both Junior Gambino and Nicky Columbo! The arena is on its feet!
