After the intro for the PWA, the entrance video package for Sunday Night Showdown begins, accompanied by the theme song of ‘Showdown’ by Pendulum as highlights of past action from 2013 to present day are sped up, showing the likes of Bobby Dean, Roscoe Shame, Night, Jay Wildman, Cody Williams & Nathan Paradine. As the video package finally comes to an end with an extended look at the ‘Sunday Night Showdown’ logo, the camera cuts to an exterior shot of the Goodfellas Casino Arena, in the heart of the Las Vegas strip, before cutting to a live shot of inside the arena. The camera pans around the sold-out crowd, most of them on their feet and screaming loudly whilst trying to get their homemade sign shown in front of the camera. The cameras finally head over to the commentary table, where Julian Fiasco and Jeremiah Sloan welcome the fans watching on the HOTv network on PWA:TV to the broadcast and begin to break down some of the action that will take place on tonight’s show!

Raising The Stakes
The arena goes pitch black as the opening guitar riff from “Abominator” by Doyle plays. Smoke billows up from the bottom of the staging area, as green laser lights dance across the stage. Just as the opening riff comes to a close, two large hits of a drum can be heard, and pyro goes off syncing with them. The song dives in, as the sVo Champion William Vorheez along with the Black Brothers make an appearance at the top of the entrance ramp. The fans boo the former fan favourite, but Vorheez doesn’t seem to care as he unstraps the sVo Championship from around his waist and raises it into the air for the crowd to see.
The boos grow louder, as Vorheez leads the masked brothers down the entrance ramp and climbs into the ring. Vorheez demands the microphone from Natasha Ortiz, the ring announcer, before waiting for his music to fade out.
William Vorheez: “Ladies and gentlemen, we get here tonight to the Goodfellas Arena and find out that we are taking on Big Aug and his band of merry men in a six man tag team match…… AGAIN?”
The fans cheer loudly for the mention of the #1 contenders for the sVo Championship and sVo Tag Team Championships, Big Aug and BIG Trouble.
William Vorheez: “You people seriously want me to pummel these guys again? We only did it a few weeks ago?”
The crowd turn back to booing Vorheez as the Black Brothers stand alongside him, motionless.
William Vorheez: “Jon Page seriously wants to see me prove to everyone that Big Aug doesn’t even belong in the ring with me just one week away from a PPV main event?”
More boos from the crowd, but it seems that their opponents for the night have heard enough as “Starts Right Here” by Foreign Air and Kenny Mason hits the sound system, and Big Aug leads BIG Trouble out to the top of the entrance ramp! Vorheez doesn’t look too impressed with the interruption, as Big Aug grins at the reaction from the crowd as he stands on the top of the entrance ramp with a microphone in hand.
Big Aug: “Wow William…. Damn you talk a lot!”
The fans cheer loudly for the big Romanian.
Big Aug: “Maybe you are world champion of talking, but BIG Aug is the world champion of two things! Food blogs and fighting!”
There is another big cheer from the crowd as BIG Trouble pump their fists in the air from the top of the entrance ramp to whip the crowd up even more.
Big Aug: “Now we are in Las Vegas, the city of sin! So if you are bored…. Then maybe we raise the stakes! If we beat you tonight…. No when we beat you tonight, then BIG Aug picks the stipulations for the big match next week on PPV!”
There are big cheers from the crowd, as all eyes turn to William Vorheez in the ring who smirks at the suggestion.
William Vorheez: “Well that does make things a little interesting, but I didn’t get to hold this…..”
Vorheez holds the Championship belt in the air to boos from the crowd.
William Vorheez: “….. by being an idiot! So if we are raising the stakes then you got to put something on the line as well guys, something we actually want and would be useful to us.”
Vorheez pretends to think for a second in the ring.
William Vorheez: “How about, when we win tonight, then that #1 contendership for the Tag Team Championships transfer from BIG Trouble, to the BLACK BROTHERS!”
The fans boo the suggestion, as Big Aug shakes his head ready to decline the offer. However before Big Aug can speak, the microphone is ripped from his hands by BIG BOSS Batts!
BIG BOSS Batts: “YOU ARE ON!”
The fans pop as Big Aug looks shocked at his friend and tries to protest, but both members of BIG Trouble look firmly behind the decision, ready to put their #1 contenderships on the line to give Big Aug the biggest chance of winning the sVo Championship at the PPV! Vorheez looks satisfied with the deal from the middle of the ring, as the cameras fade to a commercial break.

After the amazing back and forth opening match of the night, the cameras cut backstage to the sVo/HOTv branded interview area where Katie Smith is standing by with Gunner Lang! The beaming Smith stands with a sVo branded microphone and welcomes the crowd.
Katie Smith: “Wow! What a match!! Now I am standing by with someone who knows a thing or two about tag team matches, but the question on everyone’s lips Gunner is, how is Flip Dixon after the injury he suffered last week on Uprising?”
Lang looks a little emotional, as he shakes his head before composing himself and answering.
Gunner Lang: “Well Katie…..”
Lang takes another second as his voice cracks.
Gunner Lang: “Well Katie it’s not looking great right now. The doctors are seeing that could be the last match of his career….”
Smith consoles Gunner Lang with a hand on the shoulder.
Katie Smith: “And I understand Gunner that you are going to be competing tonight. Are you sure you are in the right state of mind to get back in the ring already?”
Smith asks the question as a friend rather than an interviewer.
Gunner Lang: “I appreciate the concern Katie, but it’s time to make a decision. I wanted to make it to the top of the tag team division with my boy, but it looks like that might have been snatched away from me. So now I either call it quits and look back on my run as 2x Las Vegas Champion, former Tag Team Champion with pride……..”
Lang pauses as he hears the crowd roaring with their support from inside the arena as they watch on the big screen.
Gunner Lang: “…. Or I jump out of the fying pan and straight back into the fire! Katie, this might be my last run right now and I am going to either finally capture that sVo Championship that I have been so close to so many times, or die trying!”
Lang looks into the camera as the crowd pop, whilst the scene fades out.

We head backstage to the locker room of Blood Money, where only sVo legend Johnny Moretti and Junior Gambino seem to be in attendance tonight. Gambino is dressed for battle, whilst Moretti is wearing a smart suit but pacing back and forth as if he has a match himself that he is nervous for tonight.
Junior Gambino: “Madone! Johnny, sit down will you, you’re making me nervous right now!”
Moretti growls at the youngster as he moves over and gets in the face of Gambino.
Johnny Moretti: “Listen, listen to me. This Sunday, my match against Night is one of the biggest of my career! I don’t know how many big matches I got left so I got to get it done this Sunday. For years Night was the top dog here in the sVo, and I was just scratching and clawing my way to the top. Now I reach the top and he feels he can just waltz back in here?”
Gambino tries to back away from the intense Johnny ‘All Star’ Moretti.
Junior Gambino: “Johnny, I get it I get it…”
Moretti moves forward, further getting in the face of Gambino.
Johnny Moretti: “No kid you don’t get it, you couldn’t possibly get it until you have walked a mile in my shoes. Now get out there tonight in the main event and do your fucking job. You are supposed to be a Blood Money solider, take him outta action!”
Moretti stares at Gambino as Gambino tries to back away from the former 2x Champion, as the scene fades out.

The referee makes his way over to BBD in the middle of the ring and presents him with the sVo Roulette Championship belt and raises his arm in the air in victory. BBD looks out of breath just raising his arm in the air after the brilliant match against the Las Vegas Champion, however his attention is quickly turned to the video screen as it flickers to life to show Jon Page sitting behind his desk in his office.
Jon Page: “Bobby, hey Bobby! Up here!”
Dean looks around the arena before staring up at Page on the big screen with a confused look on his face.
Jon Page: “Another great performance Bobby, and another win! Eight in a row is amazing! Way to stick it to all of those doubters, I hope Lee Best is watching!”
Boo from the sold out crowd at the mention of the HOW Owner.
Jon Page: “Me on the other hand, I never doubted you. That is why I went ahead and spun the wheel for your next opponent before you had even gotten the three count. I mean come on, the next match is on PPV next week and we gotta promote it!”
Page shrugs to the camera, as Dean continues to stare up at the big screen.
Jon Page: “Now I know that next week could be defence number nine, and it could put you just ONE win away from cashing in for a shot at the sVo Championship!”
Big cheer from the crowd.
Jon Page: “So all you gotta do to make it to that last match is get past the opponent that the roulette wheel picked out this time…… this man!”
Page signals to his left, as the camera zooms out to show the massive frame of Darwin Jones standing alongside him! The fans in the arena pop as BBD takes a big gulp before looking down at his Roulette Championship, before the scene fades out.

Putting the Blood in Blood Money
The referee raises the arm of Night in the air in victory, as the Goodfellas Casino Arena erupts into cheers for their hero. Night acknowledges all four corners of the ring, but as he gets to the last side, the cheers turn to boos as down the entrance ramp run the other three members of Blood Money!
Johnny Moretti, Anthony Moretti & Joe Barone all slide into the ring, and quickly overwhelm the sVo legend, taking him down to the mat!
The fans boo loudly as Junior Gambino slowly joins his team mates, and the four men stomp away on Night!
The heat for Blood Money from the crowd is nuclear as all four men pull Night to his feet, before taking it in turns to nail their finishing move on him! Johnny Moretti finishes off with an ‘All Star Stunner’ on Night, before the four men stand over his broken body!
Showdown 139 heads off of the air with Blood Money standing over the broken body of the hall of famer Night!
