sVo Sunday Night Showdown #125

The entrance video package for Sunday Night Showdown begins, accompanied by the theme song of ‘Showdown’ by Pendulum as highlights of past action from 2013 to present day are sped up, showing the likes of Bobby Dean, Roscoe Shame, Night, Jay Wildman, Cody Williams & Nathan Paradine. As the video package finally comes to an end with an extended look at the ‘Sunday Night Showdown’ logo, the camera cuts to an exterior shot of the Goodfellas Casino Arena, in the heart of the Las Vegas strip, before cutting to a live shot of inside the arena. The camera pans around the sold-out crowd, most of them on their feet and screaming loudly whilst trying to get their homemade sign shown in front of the camera. The cameras finally head over to the commentary table, where Julian Fiasco and Jeremiah Sloan welcome the fans watching on TV to the broadcast and begin to break down some of the action that will take place on tonight’s show!
RINGSIDE
sVo CHAMPIONSHIP
The fans cheer loudly as the show opens with sVo Owner Jon Page in the ring with a microphone in one hand, and a contact in the other! Page, who as always is dressed in a dark suit, waits for the cheers from the crowd to quieten down before adding the sold out arena.
Jon Page: “Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to sVo Showdown 125!”
There is a loud pop from the crowd.
Jon Page: “Now 125 is one hell of a milestone, and what better way to kick things off than by signing the contract for the sVo Championship match for the Roll the Dice 2022 PPV, which is only two weeks away!”
More cheers from the fans.
Jon Page: “Now one man that will definitely be involved of course is the current reigning sVo Champion, the first man to ever hold that belt on three occasions, WILLIAM VORHEEZ!”
There is a loud pop from the crowd for Vorheez.
Jon Page: “And also to be involved due to invoking his re-match close, Las Vegas’s own Johnny All Star!”
There are loud boos from the crowd, and Page holds his hands up to signal that he knew they were coming and that he agrees with the fans.
Jon Page: “I know, I know. Not as popular! But what might be popular is the third man that will be involved in the match….”
There is a loud cheer from the fans.
Jon Page: “Everyone wants to see it, and after he beat Anthony Moretti in the main event last week I think he deserves it… Allow me to announce Dar….”
The crowd boo loudly as ‘Viva Las Vegas’ by Metal Elvis hits the sound system and interrupts the sVo Owner, as Johnny ‘All Star’ Moretti quickly walks out onto the top of the entrance ramp! Page doesn’t look impressed as All Star quickly makes his way down the entrance ramp and grabs a microphone from the ring announcer.
Johnny All Star: “Wait, wait, wait! Don’t finish that sentence! You can’t be serious!”
Page stares back at All Star who is angrily pacing around the ring.
Johnny All Star: “You can’t be serious about putting Darwin Jones into that match! He isn’t on my level, he doesn’t belong in that match! Your own rankings tell you that much!”
The crowd boo loudly, before chanting for Darwin Jones.
Jon Page: “Seems like the fans want to see Darwin Jones in this match Johnny! It seems the fans want to see him get some revenge on you for breaking up Horizon and some revenge on Vorheez for putting him on the injured list! It sure seemed like he belonged when he beat your brother last week in the main event!”
All Star looks angry as he holds his hands to his ears and tries to drown out the chants from the fans. However as he does ‘Evolution’ By Clawfinger hits the sound system and the fans pop as Darwin Jones steps out onto the top of the entrance ramp with his own microphone in hand! All Star looks angry at the appearance of Jones.
Darwin Jones: “Seems like you want to do anything to keep me out of this match Johnny, sounds to me like you are scared? What do you think Las Vegas, is the famous Johnny All Star a chicken shit?”
The fans cheer loudly, as All Star angrily stomps around the ring.
Johnny All Star: “Are you kidding me? You seriously think I would be scared of you? I can beat you on my worst day! I am the biggest name in sVo history and you don’t belong in the same ring as me!”
Darwin Jones: “Is that so? Well Johnny, if you are so confident about that then how about you take me on right here in front of these fantastic people! If you win, I walk away from that contract and you can take Vorheez on one on one…. But WHEN I win, no more crying or whining about the match, you walk into Roll the Dice and take your beating like a man before I become the NEW sVo Champion!”
The fans pop loudly as All Star doesn’t look too thrilled about the match, but looks to be backed into a corner. All Star angrily looks around at the crowd as they chant ‘chicken shit’ at him.
Johnny All Star: “Page, make the damn match. It will be a pleasure to prove to the world that Darwin Jones belongs no where near the PPV main event!”
The fans cheer loudly as Page signals that it is official, and the main event will be Darwin Jones vs. Johnny All Star, with Jones having to win to be in the sVo Championship PPV match!

The cameras head backstage to the locker room of Blood Money, where Money Malone is on his own with a duffle bag in hand. Malone seems to be emptying his locker contents into the duffle bag, when the door suddenly swings open and in walks Anthony Moretti, closely followed by the massive Joe Barone!
Anthony Moretti: “Oh! Money! What a win last week! Your back on form buddy!”
Moretti slaps the back of Money Malone, but Malone shrugs off Moretti the Blood Money leader, before continuing to empty out his locker.
Anthony Moretti: “Madone! What’s this, spring cleaning?”
Malone sweeps the last of his contents into his sports bag before turning to face the grinning Moretti.
Money Malone: “No, this is me done. I’m out of Blood Money.”
Moretti looks shocked, as Barone steps forward angrily and folders his arms.
Anthony Moretti: “Is this kind of joke? What you mean you are out of Blood Money?”
Money Malone: “I see what happened to JVD…. I saw the way you guys treated me as soon as I lost a couple of matches…. I don’t want any part of this, I am out!”
Malone pushes past Moretti, but can’t get past the massive frame of Joe Barone who blocks the way. Barone steps left and right to block Malone, before finally letting him past.
Anthony Moretti: “You’re making a big fucking mistake! You took an oath! No one leaves the family!”
Moretti looks red in the face with anger as Malone disappears out of the door and the camera fades out.

After the big victory for the sVo Champion to secure himself at the top of the sVo rankings, the cameras head backstage to the interview area where Katie Smith is standing by with Kyle McRae! The pretty red head has a microphone in hand as ever, whilst the Scot McRae looks more focused than ever.
Katie Smith: “Kyle, thanks for joining me tonight! No we are only moments away from your match against Carny Sinclair. Now I have heard that you went to Jon Page in the week and requested this match against Carny Sinclair tonight!”
Kyle McRae: “You are damn right I did hen! Now I beat Carny Sinclair last week fair and square in the ring with the 1, 2, 3. We could have acted like men, shook hands and left it there….”
McRae feels the back of his head as he speaks.
Kyle McRae: “But no, that piece of shit had to jump me from behind with a steel chair! Now Page might have fined his ass, but that is going to be a small price to pay compared to what I am going to put him through! I’m not just going to beat Carny Sinclair tonight, I am going to embarrass him in that squared circle! Sinclair, you fucked up by making this personal! Now you are going to see what Kyle McRae is all about tonight!
McRae cracks his neck before storming off out of the interview area.
Katie Smith: “Well emotions are clearly running high ahead of tonight’s match, which is next!”

Changing the Game
As Showdown returns from a commercial break, the camera heads backstage to the interview area where a disappointed Gunner Lang is standing by with Katie Smith.
Katie Smith: “Gunner, you gave it your all in a battle against the sVo Champion earlier this evening but came up just a little bit short. What do you make of the match?”
Lang shakes his head as he answers the question.
Gunner Lang: “Well Katie, I went out there any gave it my own, but in the end, I just wasn’t good enough out there against Vorheez…”
Lang continues to look disappointed with himself as he looks down at his feet, finding the question hard to answer.
Gunner Lang: “For weeks now I have been dropping down the rankings, falling out of the sVo Championship picture…. I guess if I am honest it all goes back to my big shot at the sVo Championship when Johnny and JD screwed me out of my big moment.”
Katie Smith: “Well what is next for Gunner Lang?”
Gunner Lang: “Well Katie, I know I need to get to that place, I know I need to get the eye of the tiger back. That is why I need to mix things up a bit! I am officially taking a break from singles competition here in the sVo…..”
There is a noticeable audible gasp from the crowd watching the action on the giant screen.
Gunner Lang: “But the fans don’t have to worry, I am not going anywhere!”
Lang waves to someone just off of camera and is quickly joined at his side by Flip Dixon! The arrival of Dixon who hasn’t been seen in weeks gets a cheer from the crowd.
Gunner Lang: “That’s right, me and my boy are officially declaring ourselves in the sVo Tag Team division! Those Black Brothers and the rest of the teams are on notice, the team of Son and A Gun are coming for you!”
Dixon and Lang fist bump as the scene fades out.

With only moments to go until the main event of the evening, the camera cuts one last time to the interview area, where Katie Smith is standing by with Darwin Jones! The fans cheer upon seeing one half of tonight’s main event, and Jones looks pumped up and ready for action!
Katie Smith: “Darwin, you are only moments away from the main event where you will face Johnny Moretti, with a chance to fight for the sVo Championship at the PPV on the line! Any nerves ahead of tonight’s match?”
Jones looks carefully at Smith before answering the question.
Darwin Jones: “I would be lying if I said no nerves at all Katie, this is the biggest match of my career! However, those nerves are good, they are going to keep me focused. Johnny Moretti think’s that I am so far beneath him that he is already thinking about William Vorheez and the PPV match…. Well he is in for one hell of a shock tonight!”
Katie Smith: “Well you overcame Anthony Moretti last week on Showdown, what kind of a different test will Johnny All Star be?”
Darwin Jones: “All Star is an sVo legend. I learned a lot off of him in Horizon…. Which is going to make it all the sweeter when I come away with the W tonight!”
Jones smiles into the camera to signal that the time for talking is done, before walking off of camera.
Katie Smith: “Well there you have it folks. It’s shaping up to be one hell of a main event, and it is NEXT!”
