sVo Showdown Episode #080
1st May 2011
Seattle Center, Seattle, Washington

“Natural High” by The Union Underground hits the sound system as the sVo Showdown entrance video hits the screens of TV’s all over the world! The video featuring the likes of Roscoe Shame, Night, Bobby Dean and Samuel Amos shows some of the best action to have ever taken place on the flagship show of the Sanctioned Violence Organization.

As the video comes to an end, the camera cuts to the arena and pans around the sold out crowd as pyro’s shoot up from the entrance stage whilst the theme music continues to blast out over the sound system. The camera picks out several signs in the crowd as the fireworks continue to explode around the ringside area.

The camera then pans across to the entrance stage, where a video recap of last weeks action is shown on the giant Violence-Tron before tonight’s action gets under-way.

LAST WEEK ON SHOWDOWN #79That move could have broken the neck of Mr E right there, but Samuel Amos doesn’t seem finished yet as he taunts to the fans and then to Mr E to get up! E slowly does pull himself up to his feet, but Samuel Amos is there to toss him into the ropes. Amos bounces into the ropes himself, but as Mr E and Amos meet in the middle of the ring they both have the same idea as they collide with a double clothesline on each other! Mr E and Amos look in pain at the way they have fallen, as the fans cheer Night slowly pulling himself up to his feet using the ring ropes. Night slowly surveys the carnage at ringside, before grabbing the top rope in the nearest corner and pulling himself onto the turnbuckle. There is a big cheer from the crowd as Night steadies himself before flying from the top rope with a ‘SSP’ onto Mr E!

The fans are on their feet from the amazing move as it connects with Mr E! Night looks like he might have suffered broken ribs himself as he crawls and drops down over the body of Mr E to make the cover.

Paradine tries to break the cover…

THREE!

Paradine and Amos try to break the cover in vain, but they are a fraction of a second too late as the referee counts the three and the gauntlet for the gold is all over! The fans rise to their feet to cheer the four men that have given it all they had, but the sVo has a new champion in the form of Night!

Night slowly and painfully rises up to his feet using the referee for support. Night is handed the sVo Championship belt, and he looks into it for a long time, before painfully rising it above his head to a huge cheer from the crowd. As Mr E bails out of the ring, Paradine and Amos sit exhausted in opposite corners of the ring knowing they came so close to winning the big one themselves. Knowing there own moment is only just around the corner, Paradine and Amos slowly exit the ring as “Knife Party” by Deftones blasts over the sound system and Night stumbles to the corner of the ring before holding the sVo Championship belt in the air to a huge cheer from the crowd.

Night poses in the corner of the ring with the sVo Championship belt with the new era of the Sanctioned Violence Organization kicking off just as the last one had, with Japan’s favourite son as it’s champion….

… but as a lone woman with a smart suit watches and smiles the celebrations of the crowd and new champion from the height of the executive box, just how long can Night keep hold of the belt with Nathan Paradine, Samuel Amos, Cody Williams, Sara Pettis and Roscoe Shame hot on his trail?BACKSTAGE

Behind Closed Doors

The scene opens up backstage where we see “Second to None” himself, “The Reflection of Perfection” Cody Williams. He Has just arrived at the venue and is making his way down the hallway, Louis Vuitton luggage in hand. He adjusts the leather jacket lapel that he is wearing over his sVo Faithful t-shirt as he begins to turn the corner.

Cody Williams: Nathan!

The camera quickly turns around, showing “The Australian Submission Machine” Nathan Paradine heading down the hallway as well. Cody starts to pick up the pace from a brisk walk to a power walk trying to catch up to his tag team counterpart.

Cody Williams: Nathan! We need to talk!

Nathan continues to ignore the request of his tag team partner and opens the door to his locker room. Cody finally catches up to him and reaches for the door handle before it slams shut. Cody wiggles the handle several times but to no avail.

Cody Williams: Are you serious? Come on open the door. We have to talk! There’s a lot of things that need to be discussed. Nathan? Nathan!

Cody drops his shoulders and rolls his eyes as he leans against the frame of the door. He throws the tag team championship back over his shoulder and continues on his way, disappointed by the lack of communication and willingness to discuss things on the part of his partner, Nathan Paradine.BACKSTAGE

An Offer

Colt Cooper and Matt Anderson where standing in the parking garage awaiting the arrival of Samuel Amos. Colt had on his newly found favorite attire. His pink “I’m Happy” t-shirt, blue Levi Jeans, and his customized pink and blue Nike sneakers. Matt Anderson had on a two piece blue and grey suit.

Matt Anderson::”You just had that on at the zoo.”

Colt Cooper::”I won’t stop wearing this until I’m told otherwise.”

Matt Anderson::” What you mean told otherwise?”

Colt was was about to say something but stopped when he was blinded by the light of a limo.

Colt Cooper::”Now who the hell is that?”

Matt Anderson::”It’s Samuel Amos.”

It was. Samuel Amos gets out of the limo with a bag in hand. Colt Cooper and Matt Anderson stare at him smiling, but Samuel Amos pays them no mind. He gives them one disgusted look before pushing open the doors entering the inside of the Seattle Center. Colt and Matt Anderson follow behind him.

Colt Cooper::”Wait up Sammy Sam.”

Colt places his hand on Samuel Amos shoulder causing Samuel to stop going wherever he was headed.

Instead of a rude, ready to enthrall someone, Samuel Amos replied in a generous tone.

Samuel Amos::”What Colt?”

Colt Cooper::”What do you say me and you get a piece of Night tonight? Let him know that his second stint with the World Title won’t be as long as the last one.”

Samuel Amos appears to be considering the proposal. Colt places his arm around Samuel Amos’ shoulder looking at him smiling.

After a few moments, Amos pulls away from Colt.

Samuel Amos::”I’ll consider it. See you in the ring later tonight, Mister Happy.”BACKSTAGE

Network Coverage

Natasha Ortiz: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome your NEW sVo World Champion – NIGHT!

The crowd erupt as “Knife Party” by Deftones blares over the PA as the arena lights fade, leaving only a purple spotlight glowing on the entrance ramp. As Night’s entrance video plays on the tron, the sVo Champion steps through the curtain with his manager, Akira Kimura standing to his left. The two men stand atop the ramp, taking in the atmosphere, the older man proudly patting his charge on the shoulder. Night is dressed in a sharp, charcoal-grey suit, the sVo World Title draped over his right shoulder. He holds the belt up triumphantly and the already deafening crowd grow even louder. Placing the belt back on his shoulder, Night starts down the ramp slapping hands with fans with his mentor in tow. As he reaches the ring he swiftly rolls under the bottom rope and up to standing in the ring. Kimura steps through the ropes as Night again holds up the belt, the pinnacle of the sVo as purple pyrotechnics erupt around him in the ring. Night produces a microphone from his jacket pocket as the house lights return to normal.

Night: What a week, huh?

Again the crowd pop loudly.

Night: Just when so many critics thought I was down and out, I somehow managed to pull out this huge win and am proud to once again stand before you as the sVo Heavyweight Champion! It was just over a year ago that I stood here in front of you all after my first title win and it is my honor to be here once more.

The crowd are deafening, forcing Night to pause a moment. He grins uncharacteristically at his mentor, obviously savoring the moment.

Night: It just goes to show that there are no certainties in our business and the sVo is certainly no exception to the case. The critics all thought I was done. Down and out and set to put out to pasture. But I knew this was not the case. I knew that deep down I still possessed the traits that define a champion. I worked… shed blood and sweat in my pursuit of the climb to the top of the heap.

Again the crowd cheer, this time Night indicates with his hand for them to quieten down slightly and surprisingly they oblige.

Night: Some have left – unsure of themselves and of their futures here, and that’s fine. Some have, and more will step up to the plate to try to claim this belt with as much tenacity as I did. You all know me. I’ve never been overly-boastful or unrealistic in these matters. I may have my head in the clouds at times, but I assure you all that my feet are firmly planted on the ground. Although I came out on top of that match last week, and although several top stars have left the sVo I am realistic in that I recognize there is still an incredible and honestly, an unmatched depth of talent residing on our roster. I’m continuously asked who will challenge for my title at Infamous.

The crowd cheer at the mention of sVo’s upcoming PPV, again Night pauses, waiting for the cheers to die down.

Night: Well, I certainly have my list of possible dream matches and opponents. But frankly, this is not my decision. As champion I swear to face every challenger thrown at me with the utmost seriousness and respect and I’m sure that whoever challenges first will not…

Night is interrupted as “Head Like A Hole” by Nine Inch Nails hits the sound system and the crowd stands on their feet. Cody Williams makes his way out onto the ramp with a microphone in hand. He hops onto the apron and wipes his feet on the canvas before entering the ring. He walks over to Night and extends his hand to which the two-time sVo champion obliges. Cody walks around the ring several times and raises his hand up for the crowd to silence.

Cody Williams: First off, I want to say congratulations to Night for becoming a two-time sVo Champion. And now onto more important things, like the real reason why I am out here tonight.

Night readjusts the sVo championship on his shoulder and has a look of curiousity on his face as Cody Williams circles around him.

Cody Williams: If I recall, I remember the two of us coming to agreement that if one of us were to win the sVo championship then we would defend it against one another. Seeing as you won the title, and we have been in the sVo together for as long as I can remember, why don’t we give the fans what they want.

“The Reflection of Perfection” runs his free hand through his hair and pauses for a few seconds. He looks out into the crowd before slowly turning his head towards the sVo Champion and Hall of Famer.

Cody Williams: At Infamous, for the very first time, Night and Cody Wiliams will go one on one for the sVo championship! What do you say?

The crowd in attendance erupts at the challenge set forth by Cody Williams to the flag bearer of the Sanction Violence Organization, Night. Night and Cody are staring each other down in the middle of the ring when suddenly…

“ON YOUR FEET!”

Queensryche’s “Sliver” begins to blast over the sound system as the lights dim. Nathan Paradine emerges from backstage dressed in a dark suit with his arms crossed over his chest, and as he throws them out pyro explodes from the stage and the lights return to their usual hue. He stares down towards the ring for a moment before starting to move, striding down the ramp without breaking his gaze. He eventually climbs up the steel stairs and steps into the ring, looking from left to right at the sVo World Heavyweight Champion and his latest challenger. As “Sliver” dies out, Paradine holds out his hand for the microphone and Cody grudgingly obliges. Paradine remains motionless for several more moments before finally raising the microphone to speak.

Nathan Paradine: Now, what do we have here?

Cody and Night exchange cautious glances with each other, both wondering what exactly is happening; it’s obvious what both men are doing out in the ring. Paradine removes his sunglasses and tucks them inside his suit jacket.

Nathan Paradine: Because the way I see it the two of you couldn’t possibly be having a discussion about the sVo World Heavyweight Championship without me. The last time I checked, not only was I a contender for the belt…

A smirk forms on Paradine’s face.

Nathan Paradine: … but I was also the man who threw you out of contention on Showdown last week, Cody. As far as I can tell, you’ve done exactly zilch to deserve a title shot apart from bitch, whine and beg while I’ve actually been out here in the ring, you know, winning matches and earning my shot.

Cody opens his mouth to speak, but Paradine holds up a hand.

Nathan Paradine: I don’t want to hear a goddamn word from you, alright? I’m sick of it. I’m sick of carrying you on my back. I’m sick of carrying Second to None. I’m sick of you leeching off my talent and my success for your own gain. I did all the work winning the TapOut Championship, only to have you take it away from me the first chance that you got. I did all the work preparing for and winning the Tag Team titles while you were off injured. I was attacked by Beautiful Shame as well, do you remember that? Do you think I took time off to recover! NO! I kept going!

Cody’s face contorts into a scowl while Night merely looks away, uninterested in the scene developing. Paradine takes a step towards Cody.

Nathan Paradine: You know what? When we fought in 2008, when we fought in 2009, when we- LOOK AT ME WHEN I’M SPEAKING TO YOU!

Cody glances away from Paradine and his tag team partner is instantly furious, grabbing him by the chin and turning his head to force him to look at him.

Nathan Paradine: When we fought Cody, I wish I had’ve broken your neck again. I wish I had’ve done the job properly and kept you confined to a wheelchair, a broken shell of a man. What would you have if that had’ve happened all those years ago? Do you think Sasha would’ve hung around? Do you think you’d have the nice house, the nice car, the baby boy? Cody, I’m going to take all that away from you. I’m going to take everything away from you, starting with your chance at the world title.

Paradine then wheels around to look at Night.

Nathan Paradine: Night, listen to me. I want you at Infamous, and I want the sVo Championship to be on the line. We’ve never met in the ring… imagine the match we could put on. A spectacle for the ages! What do you say?

Night raises his microphone to his mouth, but before he can respond “The Reflection of Perfection” jumps inbetween him and Nathan Paradine and gets into the face of his tag team partner.

Cody Williams: Now, now, just wait one second! I have done nothing to deserve a title shot?I have busted my ass each and every night for this company, for these fans. I am one of the most dedicated and loyal wrestlers on the sVo roster. When I came back to the sVo I worked my way from the bottom up! I climbed the ladder rung by rung, and just as I was getting one step closer to a shot at the World title, I would get bumped back. It seemed as if I was taking one step forward, only to take two steps back. I think I have earned my shot, I think I am deserving of a shot, and Night you and I deserve to meet each other for the very first time for the richest prize in the game!!!

He turns his head away from his partner and wipes the saliva from the corners of his mouth.

Cody Williams: You think that you have carried me on your back? You think that you have been carrying Second to None? Let’s get one thing straight. If it wasn’t for me, you wouldn’t be performing at the level you are today. I am the reason you were given the chances that you were when we were touring all over Japan. I am the reason why you were given an opportunity to come and wrestle in the United States, not because of your talent or because of your namesake. No, it’s because you had a history of matches with me and because of that promoters thought that you would be able to perform at the level and caliber that I had established here in the greatest country in the world today. When you broke my neck, you didn’t get the job done because I am still alive and kicking, I am still walking, and I am standing here today in front of you. Admit it Nathan, the real reason behind your actions, the real reason why you have been acting up the way you have been is because your jealous…

Night: You both make compelling arguments…

Night steps towards the reigning sVo Tag-Team Champions who now stand face to face – the sVo Championship belt driving an obvious divide between the two men.

Night: Cody – there are few others on the roster who have been with the sVo for as long as you have and who have competed at the level you have consistently competed at since you first arrived here. I respect your background, your in-ring abilities and your pursuit of the gold and frankly, I can’t think of many back there who deserve a shot at this title as much as you do. It would be an honor to face you at Infamous.

Paradine stares daggers at Night as Williams nods in agreement, turning to the crowd and trying to work them in his support.

Night: However, one of those men who firmly deserves a shot at this belt is none-other than you, Nathan.

Williams turns back to the other two men, his expression darkening as he glares from Night to his tag-team partner who smirks and nods in agreement.

Night: It’s true. Nathan, I might not always agree with the decisions you make – for example your bizarre alignment with the ill-fated Company who were driven from the sVo not long ago. However, I deeply respect your in-ring abilities and work ethic. You are a consistent top performer and frankly, I agree that you deserve the shot and I would love to see that match…

Paradine taunts Cody who glares back at him.

Night: … as much as I’d love to face Cody.

The tag-team champions move close, each taunting the other.

Night: Unfortunately it is not my decision to make.

Everything in the ring goes very quiet and it appears that the three men with inevitably come to blows in pursuit of the sVo Championship. However, before they can a mysterious woman’s voice booms over the PA.

Mystery Woman: Now, now boys I appreciate the rating boost you’re giving your little show out there, but we have more important factors to consider… most importantly pay-per-view buy rates.

The crowd’s reaction is mixed as the mysterious blonde appears on the tron from an executive office, appearing to stare at the three men in the ring. Sitting behind her on the desk is a briefcase – the letters ‘VIP’ etched in the gold trimmings.

Mystery Woman: So here’s what I want to happen. You three clear out of that ring… and I mean right now.

This suggestion does not seem to sit well with either Williams or Paradine who glare and jaw off in the direction of the screen.

Mystery Woman: In exchange for your co-operation, I can assure you that you – Nathan Paradine will challenge for the sVo champion…

A mixed reaction from the crowd as Paradine points at Night’s belt and Night himself.

Mystery Woman: … as will you, Cody!

This draws a huge pop from the crowd.

Mystery Woman: But if the three of you don’t get out of there – and I mean IMMEDIATELY – the match is off and neither of you will ever receiver another shot at the gold.

The two challengers glare up at the tron, neither budging from the ring.

Paradine: And just who the hell do you think you are?

Mystery Woman: I’ll tell you who I am – I’m the one calling the shots now. The network sent me to expand the federation and the main way we do this is by saving this hostility to the ring. Now… GET OUT of my ring.

Neither Cody nor Nathan seem phased immediately before finally, with a final glare, Cody nods towards Night before turning back to face his own tag-team partner. The two exchange an intense stare-down before finally Cody rolls out of the ring and back up the ramp. Paradine meanwhile simply glares at the new sVo Champion before backing himself up and rolling under the bottom rope and onto the entrance ramp himself.

Mystery Woman: Glad to hear you’re team players… and there you have it folks. In your main event at sVo’s Infamous – the main event will pit sVo Champion, Night against the Australian Submission Machine and ‘220’ Cody Williams.

The tron flickers off as ‘Knife Party’ by Deftones once again blares over the PA leaving Night to watch both challengers to his title in two weeks.
SINGLE MATCH
Raven vs. Chris Wrestling”Last Resort” hits the sound system and on the big screen we see highlights of Canadian Perfect Chris Wrestling. Then Canadian Perfect Chris Wrestling comes out with a huge smirk on his face, trying to prevent the crowd from touching him.

Sinner by Drowning Pool begins. On the big screen we see highlights of Raven. Then Raven comes out walking and taunting the crowd a bit toward the ring.

With both of these hated rivals in the ring ready to get things started, the referee calls for the bell to be rung and they both quickly make their way towards each other. The fans seem firmly behind the returning Raven as he lays into Chris Wrestling with some big right hands. The brawler Raven gets the upper hand as he backs Chris Wrestling into the corner, however the grappler Chris Wrestling is quickly able to fight back with a double leg takedown on his opponent. The crowd boo as Chris Wrestling presses his elbows into Raven’s face on the ground before finally allowing him to rise up to his feet.

Chris Wrestling takes Raven straight back down to the mat with a gut wrench takedown before bouncing into the ring ropes. The fans boo as Chris Wrestling drops a big elbow down across the back of Raven before rolling to his feet. Chris Wrestling raises his arms in the air to taunt to the fans, and gets nothing but boos from the sold out crowd. Raven slowly begins to rise up to his feet behind him, but Chris Wrestling is there and waiting with an arm drag takedown into an arm lock. The boos continue as Chris Wrestling tries to force the submission victory from his former ‘Corporation’ team mate.

The refere asks Raven if he wants to quit, but Raven quickly shakes his head and reaches out for the bottom rope with his free arm. Chris Wrestling looks calm as he pulls back harder on to the arm lock, and looks like he might be willing to tear Raven’s arm out of the socket to get the victory tonight. The fans cheer as Raven is finally able to get to the ropes, but as he does Chris Wrestling doesn’t look too keen to break the hold! The crowd boo even louder as Chris Wrestling keeps the hold locked on at the ropes for the full five count, until finally releasing it under threat of disqualification.

Raven holds his arm in pain as Chris Wrestling gets to his feet and gets into the face of the referee. The referee Hector Arenda doesn’t look like he is going to take any shit from Wrestling as he shouts back at him, but as he does Raven runs at Chris Wrestling from behind and nails him with a punch to the back of the head. Chris Wrestling falls forward and collides heads with the referee, sending both men down! The fans cheer as Raven rises up to his feet and looks at his opponent and the referee laying on the mat, before climbing out of the ring. Raven wastes no time in making his way around to the announcers table, and stealing the chair of Anthony Moretti!

The sVo commentator protests, but Raven chooses to ignore him as he slides back into the ring with the steel chair. As Chris Wrestling slowly begins to get to his feet, there is a cheer from the crowd as Raven slams the chair down over the back of his opponent! The referee is still down as Chris Wrestling arches his back in pain, allowing Raven a free shot of the chair to the face of his opponent! Raven holds the chair in the air, before placing it carefully in the middle of the ring!

Chris Wrestling looks like he has been busted wide open from the second chair shot as Raven slowly pulls him up to a standing position before throwing him into the ropes. Wrestling slowly bounces back out of the ropes, and Raven sends him down with a spinebuster straight onto the steel chair! The fans cheer the Canadian Raven on as he rises up to his feet and taunts again to the crowd. With Chris Wrestling holding his back, Raven makes his way to the corner of the ring!

The fans continue to cheer loudly as Raven slowly makes his way up to the top rope before again taunting to the crowd. Raven leaps off the top rope looking for a elbow drop, however at the last moment Chris Wrestling is able to roll out of the way, causing Raven to fall straight onto the steel chair! Chris Wrestling stumbles up and kicks the chair out of the ring before taunting Raven to get to his feet. Raven looks like he might have broken his wrist as he and the referee slowly begin to get to their feet. There are boos in the arena as Chris Wrestling grabs Raven with a capture suplex and tosses him down hard to the mat!

With Raven down, Chris Wrestling goes straight back to work on the injured arm of his opponent as he locks him once again into the arm lock! The fans boo loudly as Hecotr Arenda slowly crawls across just in time for Raven to tap out to the pain!

TAP!

TAP!

TAP!

The boos continue around the arena as the referee calls for the bell to be rung. Chris Wrestling keeps the hold on for a few seconds longer than he should, before finally releasing it. However instead of celebrating his victory, Chris Wrestling once again pulls Raven to his feet. There are even louder boos from the crowd as Chris Wrestling throws Raven up and over the top rope to the outside of the ring before celebrating the victory.BACKSTAGE

X

“Oh, sVo.. It’s been too long.”

The cameras cut to just outside of the arena. Standing there, we see a cloaked figure, Undertaker esque hat perched upon his head, a red and black mask covering his face. He tilts his neck slightly, peering at the Goodfellas doorway.

“I have been missed.”

He murmurs, no sarcasm in his voice at all. He raises one hand, moving it forwards toward the building, before stopping and taking several steps forward, the soles of his jet black boots crunching against the gravel.

“It’s time for the sVo to suffer for what they did to me.”

Stopping inches before the doorway, he slowly raises his face, inhaling. The corners of his mouth upturn into a devilish smirk, and there is a flash from his eyes, visible through slits in his mask.

“Once stung… Twice as deadly.”

He puts a hand on the handle, hauling the door open and cracking it against a wall behind the entrance. “X” takes a step inside, before flicking his cloak up and striding into the building.

“Quake.”BACKSTAGE

Calling in a debtThere are boos from the crowd as the scene switches backstage to the corridor outside the office of the current man in charge of the sVo, it’s co-founder Jon Page. However the boos are not for the man from London, England, they are in fact for former Las Vegas Champion Rey Rosario as he stands outside the door to the office and stares at Page’s name plaque on the door. Rosario shakes his head with a look of disdain plastered over his face, before slowly knocking on the door. Rosario waits patiently for a few seconds for Jon Page to shouts back from the other side of the wood, before opening the door and stepping into the office.

Rosario looks around the office and all of its recent renovations since Page took it back over from its former incumbent, Matt ‘Anarchy’ Anderson. However Rosario isn’t here for decorating tips, he has nothing but business on his mind.

Rey Rosario: “What the hell is going on Page?”

The sVo owner stares at Rey Rosario from behind his huge desk before motioning to the chair in front of him.

Jon Page: “Take a seat Rey, tell me what’s bothering you.”

Rosario begins to step forward towards the seat, before stopping himself and staring back at the sVo boss.

Rey Rosario: “No, no more talking. I went undercover in the Company for you and I brought the whole thing tumbling down. You wouldn’t be where you are right now if it wasn’t for me. These fans wouldn’t be where they are right now if it wasn’t for me! The boys in the back wouldn’t be where they are now if it wasn’t for me!”

Page quickly holds his right palm up to interrupt the Puerto Rican star.

Jon Page: “And we are all very grateful for what you have done for us Rey…”

Rosario lets out a snort as he places his knuckles on the table and leans in towards Page.

Rey Rosario: “Like hell you all are! You don’t have time for me any more, the fans boo me and the boys in the back look at me like I am nothing! I want to be properly compensated for everything I went through. I want my title shot. We had a deal Page!”

The sVo owner Jon Page looks over Rey Rosario once more before leaning back in his chair. Page looks from the ceiling, before looking back at Rosario.

Jon Page: “Don’t worry Rey, what you did for us well not be forgotten, especially by me. I can carve you a path towards the title, but you have to walk it yourself. I already booked you in a match for later tonight. You got a shot at winning the Red&Black Championship back from England. Remember, you defend that title ten times and you get yourself a shot at the sVo Championship…”

Rosario stares at Page as the sVo owner waits to see if it will placate the self proclaimed hero of the sVo.

Rey Rosario: “It’s not exactly what I had in mind, but the chance to take that title back from England is something I have been meaning to tick off of my list anyway. This isn’t ever by a long shot though Page, you still owe me big time!”

Rosario backs his way out of the office keeping his eyes on the sVo boss, before turning and slamming the office door behind him leaving Page all alone. Page takes a few seconds to stare at the door before staring back up at the ceiling. It was problems like this that he didn’t have to deal with when he wasn’t owner of the sVo, but he wouldn’t change it for the world. The sVo was his again, and no one could stand in his way.BACKSTAGE

V.I.PHer heels clacked along the corridor floor as she walked with her briefcase in hand. It had felt good to get involved out their earlier, this placed needed some direction and she was the one to give it.

“Help you with something?”

She locked her eyes onto the nearest stage hand who was staring at her figure, she was only twenty five but she knew how to deal with men. She had to in the business she was in. The young stage hand slowly turned beetroot red before shaking his head and turning away. A smile grew across her face showing off her Hollywood smile.

Victoria Isabella Prado was her name. Desednant of Spanish royalty she didn’t have to work another day in her life if she wanted to, except she loved her job. As an executive from the network it was her job to set up the deal to bring the Sanctioned Violence Organization over to their TV station, and it was her job to bring in the big ratings.

Catching the end of the Chris Wrestling versus Raven match on a nearby monitor, Prado nodded her head approvingly.

“I could definetly turn something there into some big numbers.”

Her initals were V.I.P, and she definetly intended on living up to them with the plans she had for the sVo.
4-WAY MATCH
Juliana Torres vs. El Locon vs. Chezina vs. AngelThe fans in the arena begin to cheer as ‘Ugly’ by Mudvayne hits the sound system, and the entrance video of the American wannaba begins to play on the sVo-Tron! The fans cheer as El Locon stares down at the ring, before climbing into the ring. The man escorting El Locon begins to take off his straight jacket, as the entrance music begins to fade out. With the straight jacket removed, El Locon stretches out in the corner of the ring and prepares for the match to get under way.

‘My Way’ by Limp Bizkit hits the sound system and the arena fills with boos as the massive Chezina Rodriguez steps onto the top of the entrance ramp! Chezina holds his hands up in the air before slowly making his way down the entrance ramp towards the ring. Chezina towers over the fans lining the entrance ramp, and as he steps up onto the ring apron, he is able to step over the top rope with ease! Chezina struts around the ring for a few seconds to show his dominance before preparing for the match to get under-way.

Ugly by Mudvayne plays as Angel The Malignant comes out pumped up for his fight and starts walking with attitude toward the ring.

Sinner by Drowning Pool begins. On the big screen we see The Corporate Lady holding a white owl in her left side of her shoulder and walking toward the ring smoke comes out when she shows up on the screen and she walks on heavy steps looking to the crowd with a mad look and showing no happiness in her eyes a firework sound on her background while she gets inside the ring.

With all four competitors in the ring the crowd are pumped up as the referee calls for the bell to be rung and the action to get underway! With Chezina the biggest star in the match in terms of size, El Locon, Angel and Juliana Torres all turn to face the former Tag Team Champion before rushing towards him!

The fans cheer as all three wrestlers lay into Chezina with some big right hands, until the big man stars throwing some big haymakers of his own. Chezina knocks down Angel and El Locon before grabbing Juliana Torres by the arm. Chezina whips Juliana Torres hard into the ring ropes before knocking her down with a big boot to the face as she bounces back into the middle of the ring. Torres quickly rises up to her feet, before being picked up into the air with a gorilla press slam from Chezina! The fans boo the move from Chezina, but as he stands over the Corporate Lady he is spun around by El Locon and Angel!

The fans cheer as El Locon and Angel haul the big man into the air, before dropping him down to the mat with a massive double suplex! The sVoTron flicks to backstage, where we see Landon Bennett and Duncan Brennan sat in their locker room, Landon pacing up and down.

Landon: “You know what’d be great? A real tag division..”

Duncan: “So we could fight together-“

Duncan is suddenly cut off, as the lights in the room shut off. A sniggering casually floats through the air, the sinister undertones sweeping into the throats of the pair, striking them with fear.

Duncan: “What the…? Jesus.”

Landon: “Bring it on, whoever you are!”

But the anticipated attack never comes, and only the laughter continues through the pitch blackness. Landon yells a few times, but nothing happens. Out of nowhere, the door swings open, and light filters into the room. A figure, the elusive “X”, is seen, his shadow illuminated in the light of the corridor. Brennan starts forwards, but the door is slammed in his face.

The cackling continues.

“This place has really gone to the dogs…”
SINGLE MATCH
Lucas Greene vs. La Envidia MataThe unmistakable sound of a bong hit bubbles over the PA system, and the crowd is on its feet in an instant. As ‘Smoke Two Joints’ by Sublime kicks in, smoke begins to filter out from behind the entrance curtain until the entire stage is enveloped. After a few lines of the song, a figure comes sauntering out from the billowing clouds of smoke, and stops at the top of the ramp. Lucas Greene just stands there, staring out at his fans with a big, goofy grin on his face. The crowd pops for the ‘Red-Eyed Superstar’ as he begins to make his way down to the ring. As he does, the camera picks up on a crew member standing near the entrance curtain, looking confused, as the thick smoke isn’t actually part of the show. He can be seen sniffing the air and looking rather shocked by the pungent smell.

Down in the ring, Greene climbs up onto the ring apron, and then up to the top rope. Once again, he stares out into the crowd for a moment before throwing his hands up in the air. Four fingers point up from his right hand, while two fingers pop up form his left. The fans then scream ‘OHHHHHHH!’ along with him as he then hops down into the ring and awaits the start of the match.

Sinner by Drowning Pool begins. On the big screen we see highlights of La Envidia Mata. Then La Envidia Mata comes out completely ignoring the crowd.

With both men in the ring the referee calls for the bell to be rung and this one to get started! La Envidia Mata, the returning former Corporation leader, quickly rushes forward and catches Greene with a knee to the midsection. Mata grabs hold of Greene by the arm and shoots him into the ropes before landing a reverse elbow to the face of his opponent. Greene staggers backwards holding his face in pain allowing Mata to take him down to the mat with a running face plant.

Greene quickly rises up to a standing position and knocks Mata away with some big right hands as he approaches again. With Mata down on the mat the fans cheer as Greene uses the ring ropes to springboard onto Mata with a big diving splash. With Mata down and hurting, Greene lands some big mounted punches on the returning star before allowing him up to his feet.

Greene grabs hold of Mata around the waist looking for a German suplex, however Mata manages to counter with a go behind into a waist lock on his opponent. Greene tries to struggle out of the hold, however Mata is able to take him down with a big German suplex. Greene hits the mat hard, but Mata holds him tightly around the waist to pull him up and nail a second German suplex in a row! Lucas Greene manages to get his shoulders up off of the mat to the delight of the crowd. Mata snarls at the referee as he grabs the stoner by the hair and drags him up to his feet. Mata sends Greene into the corner, but as Mata runs to hit a clothesline, Greene is able to use the ring ropes to slingshot himself over Mata! Mata spins around in shock, but Greene jumps forward with a big clothesline to send Mata tumbling over the top rope to the outside of the ring!

The fans cheer as Lucas Greene stands in the middle of the ring pumping the crowd up. The fans cheer loudly for Greene as he taunts to the fans on the outside of the ring as Mata tries to struggle up. Greene grabs hold of Mata and pulls him up into the air before dropping him sternum first across the security barrier.

As Mata struggles to pull himself up, Lucas Greene leaps off of the security barrier to hit a big splash onto Mata! The fans are on their feet from the high flying move as both men lay motionless on the hard floor as the referee rolls out of the ring to check on both of them.

Lucas Greene is the first person to slowly rise up to his feet on the outside of the ring using the ring apron for support. The fans cheer on the exciting high flyer as he stomps away on La Envida Mata before pulling him up using his hair and rolling him back into the ring under the bottom rope. Lucas Greene rolls back into the ring himself and quickly makes a cover on the ‘God of Wrestling’.

One…

Two…

Just as the referee is about to count the three he notices Mata has his foot on the bottom rope. The referee stops the count and holds two fingers in the air to motion that it is only a two count. Lucas Greene doesn’t look happy at all as the Red Eyed Superstar pulls La Envida Mata up to his feet and throws him into the ropes. Mata bounces back into the middle of the ring, and Lucas Greene takes him down with a big hip toss. With Mata down on the mat, the fans cheer as Lucas Greene begins to make his way to the top rope!

It looks as if Greene is wanting to finish off Mata with a high flying move, but as he leaps from the top rope looking for his trademark ‘420’ splash he finds nothing but canvas as Mata rolls out of the way! The fans boo loudly as both men slowly rise up to a standing position and Mata lays into Lucas Greene with some stiff chops across the chest. Mata backs Greene into the corner of the ring, before lifting him up onto a sitting position on the turnbuckle! The fans rise to their feet as Mata steps up onto the second rope alongside Lucas Greene, before superplexing him from the top down to the mat!

The fans watch as replays of the superplex are shown on the Violence Tron as both men lay motionless in the ring. Mata is the first to slowly rise up to his feet as he waves off the boos from the crowd and taunts Lucas Greene to ‘stand like a man’. Lucas Greene slowly does begin to rise up to a standing position, but La Envida Mata pounces forward and applies a rolling leg lock onto Lucas Greene! The fans boo loudly as Greene has no choice but to tap out as Mata pulls back hard trying to break the leg of his opponent.

TAP!

TAP!

TAP!

Boos continue to ring out around the arena as La Envida Mata slowly releases the hold on Lucas Greene and rises up to his feet! Mata waves away the referee as he tries to raise his arm in victory, and seems to take great joy in rolling Lucas Greene out of the ring under the bottom rope. With the ring clear the fans boo even louder as La Envida Mata sinks to his knees and throws his arms in the air in victory.BACKSTAGE

The scene switches to Jon Page’s office, where the big man of the sVo can be found signing papers, Showdown! Live on a 44″ TV Screen that hovers on the wall. Page looks up, noticing that his office is currently live, shrugs, and resumes his work.

“Hello, Mister Page.”

Jon inhales suddenly, standing up and wheeling around, wondering who is in his office.

Page: “H-hello?”

“I don’t believe we’ve met, kid.”

Page: “K-kid?! How dare you!”

The door creaks, and page grabs a ballpoint pen, holding it out in front of him warily. However, his false bravado doesn’t stop the pathetic whimper that he whispers as a gloved hand clamps down on his shoulder!

Page: “HOLY SH*T!”

“Ahahahahaha…”

The cameras whip around, and as expected,”X” is standing behind Page. The mystery man forces Jon into his chair, slowly striding around his desk and glaring into Page’s terrified face.

Page: “You can’t hurt me. I’ll sue your ass so hard you won’t be able to sit down..”

‘X’: “Is that right, Page?”

Page: “Y-Yes…”

‘X’: “Yes what?”

There is an awful moment, before Page balls his fists and screws up enough courage to stand, getting right in the mystery mans face.

Page: “I don’t answer to you, son.”

‘X’ laughs, an evil cackle that bounces off the Walls. He raises one solitary finger, poking Page in the chest before turning back to the door.

‘X’: “You have something I want, Page, and I will not stop until I get it.”

Page: “And what is that?”

‘X’: “The sVo.”BACKSTAGE

Wellness Policy?Lucas Greene looked exhusted as he slowly limped his way backstage. The match against Mata had taken a lot out of him, he had walked into it as the favourite and ended up with another loss on his record. Now that it was all done with, he only had one thing on his mind.

Opening his locker room door he didn’t even bother closing it behind him as he reached into gym bag and pulled out a spliff from his ‘special pocket’. He had been thinking about this ever since he went out to fight against Mata. Win or lose, it was all he could think about right now. Sparking up and breathing in a lungful of sweet smoke he could feel the relaxation spreading through his body.

“Uh hum.”

Lucas Greene quickly spun around and hid the spliff behind his back as he saw the new TV network executive V.I.P standing in the doorway. The young woman was sniffing the air with a disgusted look on her face, until Greene couldn’t hold it in any longer and coughed out the smoke.

“Busted!”

Victoria Prado slowly stepped forward, the young womans heels cracking off the floor with every step.

“I’m afraid this whole image just doesn’t appeal to the right demographics..”

Did Victoria Prado have a smile on her face as she slowly circled around Lucas Greene who stood there like a teenager getting busted by their teacher.

“… until you can come back with a new image and get yourself cleaned up, you sir are suspended!”

Victora Prado gives Lucas Greene a flirtatious wink before stepping out of the locker room and closing the door behind her. Was this skinny bitch serious? Was she really going to make Lucas Greene choose between the ring and the green?
SINGLE MATCH
Mr E vs. Natalie Burrows’Innocence’ hits the speakers, the fans cheering as the overhead lights dim. The area right in front of the curtain is bathed in blinding light thanks to a couple of overhead spotlights while coral-colored lights illuminate the rest of the arena, the end result seemingly coloring the air itself. Stepping out into that brilliant light, Natalie Burrows walks to the edge of that blinding spot until she is visible and raises her fists above her head. The movement triggers white and coral pyros to shoot in front of her in criss-crossing sparks, the Southern Belle emerging from the beam of light as the last round fires off. Making her way down the ramp, Natalie still slaps a few of the hands that are offered to her… but her focus is on the ring. Speeding up at the bottom of the ramp, she slides into the ring on her stomach before getting to her feet. The nearest turnbuckle is mounted as she looks out over the crowd, once again raising her fists in the air to evoke more cheers. Burrows lays into Mr E with some stiff kicks before dragging him up to his feet and grabbing him in position for a fisherman’s suplex. Burrows tries to execute the move, but as she does Mr E manages to block it!

“Hold up. Hold Up!”

There are boos from the crowd as the voice of Victoria Pace booms out over the sound system as she steps onto the entrance ramp holding a microphone in her hands. Both Mr E and Burrows slowly turn and stare back at the woman from the network as she stands shaking her head watching the action.

Victoria Pace: “We are here for ratings people! What the hell is this? It’s sending the crowd to sleep and making millions around the world turn off! I demand an end to this match right now!”

Boos ring out around the arena as Victoria Pace turns on her heels as Mr E and Burrows shout angrily from the ring as sVo Showdown #80 heads to a commercial break!
SINGLE MATCH
Duncan Brennan vs. DJ

We return to the ring from commercial. Duncan Brennan stands by, awaiting cue. When “Teenage Anarchist” by Against Me! fades out, Duncan raises the microphone to his mouth to begin his address to the Seattle Chapter of the sVo Faithful.

Duncan Brennan: This is nothing like I imagined. I’m at a loss for words to describe the way I feel at this very moment. To dream of something… to grow up my whole life envying what I saw on TV, and then to step foot in the very same ring I’ve seen so many great athletes step into before me… Man, it really blows me away. There’s no getting better than the Sanctioned Violence Organization, let me tell ya’. This is where it’s at.

Duncan speaks softly, calmly. You can barely hear him over the roaring of the crowd. He seems like a very laid back kind of guy.

Duncan Brennan: My name is Duncan Brennan. I’m from a place we back home call Manch-Vegas. It’s the backwoods version of Las Vegas, and there’s never a dull moment, hear you me. But I’m not here to talk about where I’m from. No, I’m here to tell you where I want to go. In life. In the ess Vee oh, and beyond. Everybody’s got a story to tell, so allow me to let you all in on a few things real quick-like. I promise not to take up too much of your time.

The fans give their approval for Duncan to continue, to which he smiles politely.

Duncan Brennan: So I believe everybody’s got a purpose. After all, there must be a reason we’re here. Here in Seattle, Washington—

There’s a big pop for the location reference.

Duncan Brennan: Here on Earth. A reason for there to even BE an Earth. There has to be a reason. I just know it. Personally, I believe we’re all a bunch of disbanded energy. It makes sense, right? So if we’re all just little bouncing balls of matter—if that’s the correct term for it—then won’t somebody please explain to me WHAT’S the matter? I mean, come on. People are so quick to get up-in-arms over the most insignificant things. Oh, so it took you five minutes to find your keys this morning. It’s no big deal. Busy day at the office? No big deal. Wife’s cheating on you, you’re in court trying to win your house and custody of your children, you’ve lost it all and with it the will to live? Okay, maybe that’s a big deal. But the rest of that stuff? That’s LIFE. It’s not a personal attack against you; it’s not God punishing you; you’re not a reject. It’s life. I believe we live for one reason, and one reason only: to explore. If we focus all our attention on the negatives, there’s no longer any room left to explore the positives. You can’t explore positives unless you’re in a positive frame of mind. So liberate your mind; that’s what I say. That’s why I’m here: to spread the message, to serve my purpose. Live life outside of bounds. Ride clouds out of sight of grounds. Get a hot-airballoon and parrr-tay. Life’s meant to be enjoyed.

The audience seems to agree 100%

Duncan Brennan: You know, y’all are really such a great crowd. I’m having the time of my life here tonight. But it looks like we’ve got a match to get underway, and it seems I’ll be in it.

The fans applaud.

Duncan Brennan: And my opponent is somebody I’ve admired for quite some time now. Say what you will about the man, but DJ is most definitely a phenomenal athlete. I’m looking forward to giving ‘im all I’ve got, and I hope you folks enjoy the show. Ciao, now.

Duncan smiles, then turns to hand the microphone to one of the ringside staff. Duncan removes his over-shirt and tosses it at ringside.

Just then “Sinner” by Drowning Pool begins. On the big screen we see highlights of DJ. Then DJ comes out walking and dancing a bit toward the ring.

The bell sounds and both men collide in the center of the ring. It’s on! Both men are quick on their feet, with rebounds and reversals galore! Neither man can outmaneuver his opponent. They lock up. Duncan knees his way out of it and quickly attempts a Roundhouse Kick, but DJ ducks, sweeping Duncan’s legs out from underneath him. Duncan rolls backward to his feet and charges toward DJ, who plants him with a Drop Toe Hold into the turnbuckle. Brennan bounces back fast, hopping up on the turnbuckle and diving off with a Clothesline… but DJ ducks beneath the arm… DUNCAN ROLLS FORWARD ON IMPACT, HE’S BACK TO HIS FEET! DUNCAN TURNS AND CHARGES WITH ANOTHER CLOTHESLINE, but DJ sidesteps his advance! Duncan gets whipped into the opposite corner, followed up with a Clothesline… but Duncan ducks beneath the charged-up DJ, spins him around and SNAP SUPLEX! Brennan lays DJ out with a Snap Suplex. The match starts to slow in pace. NEVER MIND! DJ springs back to his feet and grabs Duncan from behind… GERMAN SUPLEX! He keeps the hold locked in. Will he go for another? Yes! Two! Is there one left? Duncan’s trying to fight out of it, but DJ doesn’t release his hold. YES! A THIRD GERMAN SUPLEX! Duncan – is – done.

DJ rolls his opponent over and makes the cover!

……….

KICKOUT! Duncan manages to throw his body to the side, just in time! He must still be feeling those Suplexes because he’s slowed down noticably. DJ grabs Duncan by the ears, lifting him upward. Duncan fights out of it, breaking DJ’s clutch. BELL CLAP! DJ’s ears must be ringing now! Duncan knees DJ in the gut and he hooks the belt… Snap Suplex! Not just one?!?! No, Duncan’s still got his fist holding on to DJ’s belt… TWO! DJ’s hardly able to fight out of the third… What’s this?!?! DUNCAN’S TRYING TO SHOW HIM UP WITH A FOURTH! HE LANDS IT! Duncan throws himself on top of DJ and the referee starts the count.

…..1…..

…..2…..

KICKOUT!

DJ’s pretty quick about kicking out, so both men get back to their feet to continue. Duncan goes for another Roundhouse Kick, but DJ ducks beneath it. DJ returns a similar kick, but connects! Duncan falls backward into the turnbuckle. DJ charges, but Brennan’s able to get a boot up in time… DJ spins around cupping his jaw… Duncan hops up on the turnbuckle… Is he going for a Missile Dropkick? He is… but DJ catches him, planting him with an improvised Chokeslam. DJ takes to the turnbuckle… he’s going for his finisher here! DJ SPLASH ON DUNCAN BRENNAN! DJ makes the cover!

…1…

…2…

…3!

DJ pulls off the victory quite impressively! Here is your winner, ladies and gentlemen… DJ!

DJ rolls out from the ring and heads up backstage to “Sinner” and a pop from the crowd. Brennan rolls himself onto his side, slowly making it back to his feet. The audience clap politely and give him a respectable cheer. Duncan turns to face the entrance way, then back out into the crowd. He shrugs his shoulders and smiles shyly before making a departure of his own. It seems Duncan Brennan learned a little bit about humility here tonight, folks. He’s bound to have a bright future, that’s for sure! Congratulations to the winner, DJ, who proved to be the better competitor here tonight!BACKSTAGE

Bathroom Chatter

Roscoe Shame finishes doing number two in the bathroom and begins to wash his hands. While drying his hands Samuel Amos enters the men’s room. Roscoe doesn’t notice Amos at first until he makes conversation.

Amos: Roscoe how is everything going?

Roscoe looks up giving Amos a surprised look considering the two men have never really talked to each other.

Shame: Everything is as can be expected. How about yourself?

Amos: All is well.

Roscoe tosses the paper towels in the trash can and makes his way to the door. He starts open the door to leave, but stops.

Shame: Hey Sam, I want to make something clear to you. You chased Wildman for the past couple of months and now that Night is champion don’t think you are the only one who deserves a shot at the title. You couldn’t hack it against Jay so why don’t you just move aside and stop wasting your time.

Sam doesn’t say anything at first, he waits until he finishes urinating.

Amos: Well Roscoe, with all due respect..

Amos zips up and turns towards Shame.

Amos: I don’t recall you making it to the final four of the Gauntlet for the Gold now do I?

The fans all go “Oooooh” as Shame has a less than pleasant look on his face.

Amos: The problem here is, Roscoe Shame’s a former World Champion. He’s quite possibly a future sVo hall-of-famer and has definitely tasted glory here in days long past. But Shame, it doesn’t seem like it’s been “Shame-Time” in a long time, now has it?

Amos and Shame get into a stare down in the middle of the bathroom. Shame looks like he’s ready for a fight, and so does Amos.

Amos: Now with all due respect Shame, if you get to the belt before me, than congratulations. But until then, I’d suggest you get out of my way.

Shame: I’d suggest you watch your back, because next time you will find yourself needing help to go the bathroom.

Amos: Oh, and do me a favor, would ya? Go flush what’s left of your career. It’s stinking up this bathroom.

Skunked

Colt Cooper and Matt Anderson were sitting in Colt Cooper’s locker room staring at the TV getting a look at all the pathetic competition inside the sVo when a commercial comes on and Colt turns the tv off.

Colt Cooper::”So Matt…how you like being in a locker room? You did have an office once.”

Matt sucks his teeth and stands from the stool he was sitting on.

Matt Anderson::”Come on Colt, you shouldn’t be concerned about me. You have a match against Samuel Amos coming up in a few.”

Colt Cooper::”Yeah, but i’ve already trained long and hard for the match.”

Matt Anderson:: What did you do?

Matt Anderson places his hands on his hips knowing Colt didn’t do not one thing to be ready for Samuel Amos.

Colt Cooper::”I went to the mall and bought Destiny and Vendetta. Looked at Samuel Amos failed both times and thought up of my own unique way to beat the guy.”

Matt Anderson:: You’re no Jay Wildman Colt.”

Colt Cooper::”Yeah, and I don’t want to be him. Look Matt, what’s the whole point of you being my manager if you don’t even think I can become a World Champion, or beat guys like Sameul Amos. I beleive in myself, and if you don’t….whenever that World Title is in my hands you can be there or long gone.”

Matt Anderson laughs while taking his seat back in his stool.

Matt Anderson::”Come on Colt, you have to do more before you can even consider World Title. You’ve only held the Tag Team Title, and do have the third longest reign with the International title. Night held the belt one more day than you.”

Colt Cooper::”Right now I’m not concerned about the World Title. I’ll let Night have his fun with the fools who are so called “World Title Contenders” until i sweep in and take the title from underneath him.”

Matt Anderson::”You let me down last week at Showdown. Win tonight, please.”

Colt Cooper stands from his stool and pulls a box out of his bag.

Colt Cooper::”I almost forgot…I bought you a present man.”

Matt Anderson never took a present from Colt. Colt never knew why, but tonight Matt Anderson was going to take this present if he wanted it or not.

Matt Anderson::”Thanks Coop.”

Colt hands Matt the present and walks out of the door to partake in his match with Samuel Amos. He stops and puts his ear to the door to listen in on what’s going on inside the room.

Matt Anderson opens up the box and inside is a skunk.

Matt Anderson::”Noooooooo.”

Sara Pettis quickly takes advantage of the feud between the Tag Team Champions as she rushes across and catches Paradine with a diving dropkick to the back of his head. Paradine hits the mat, and Sara Pettis makes her way to the top rope! The fans cheer as Pettis stands on the top rope once again. However as Pettis stands on the top rope, there is suddenly loud boos as “You’re Gonna Go Far Kid” The Offspring hits the sound system and AMP’s entrance video hits the sound system! Sheldon Hossteder quickly jumps off of the ring apron and stands at the bottom of the entrance ramp, ready to head off any potential interference from the father of Sara Pettis in the match.

Pettis looks shocked as her attention turns towards the entrance ramp, however AMP does not appear! Paradine quickly takes advantage of the confusion as he leaps up onto the second rope beside Sara Pettis and takes her down from the top rope with a massive ‘ParaPlex’ from the top rope! The fans pop for the move as Paradine quickly makes the cover on Pettis in the middle of the ring!

One…

Two…

Three!

Sheldon Hossteder slides back in to try and break the cover but is just too late, this one is all over, and with Nathan Paradine taking advantage of the distraction he is able to pick up the three count despite being left high and dry by Cody Williams! Pettis and Hossteder look back up the entrance ramp looking disgusted as Nathan Paradine is handed both sVo Tag Team Championship belts by the referee. With Cody Williams no where to be seen, Paradine holds both title belts in the air as Showdown #80 heads off of the air. Has the partnership of Cody Williams and Nathan Paradine reached breaking point after tonight? X

Night is seen walking backstage, sVo World Title around his waist. Suddenly, a hand shoots from the shadows, grasping him by the throat and forcing him backwards.

Night: “ACK!”

‘X’ steps from the shadows, the thin, devilish smirk reappearing on his lips. In his hand, he holds an envelope.

Night: “What the…”

‘X’: “Hello, old friend.”

Night takes a step forwards, casually brushing hair from his eyes.

Night: “Who are you?”

‘X’: “That’d be telling.”

Night: “What do you want?”

X laughs, reaching for the envelope and ripping it open in one fluid motion.

‘X’: “Well that’s easy. I want that.”

He points to the World Title, grinning triumphantly. He then tosses the contract into his other hand.

‘X’: “And this contract… Acquired some time ago. Gives me rights to challenge for it.”
