sVo Showdown
30th May 2010
Goodfellas Casino Arena, Las Vegas
Episode #043
Two’s Company, Three’s a Crowd
Observing his latest acquisition from above, the suited executive slowly brings his imported cigar to his lips, savouring the rich taste.
The stage through which the stars of the SVO would later make their theatrical entrances is currently a mess of tangled cable and heavy storage boxes. The production crew swarm all over the arena, performing menial health and safety checks among other tedious jobs, all the while scrutinized by their supervisors. The ring has been left in a state of near completion, missing its aprons and ropes.
‘It’s a good job we bought out this little operation when we did. It’s no wonder they went out of business. One hour until the show goes live and those amateurs are still building the set!’
Overlooking the scene from inside the Company skybox, the suited man lets out a deep sigh as he lowers his cigar. A cloud of smoke unfurls from within his mouth and rises into the air. Slouching over, his free hand is jammed inside his pocket. He is clearly agitated.
‘Just sit down and relax. He’ll be here.’
The smoker turns around to face his addressor, his identity obscured by smoke.
‘That’s what you said an hour ago. Then thirty minutes ago. Now, you’re saying it again.’
He stuffs his cigar back into his mouth, chewing the end.
‘If you hadn’t listened to me in the first place, you’d have had no idea about this lucrative little investment of ours. Just trust me. He’ll be here.’
The smoker removes his cigar and stands on the spot, staring at the ground. Mulling his associate’s words over, he gives a half-hearted nod and turns back to the windows of the box, overseeing the setup for tonight.
SHOWDOWN!
As the camera pans around the sold out arena, Pretty Vegas by INXS begins to blast out over the sound system as the sVo Showdown opening video rolls on the giant V-Tron! The crowd goes wild for the video, featuring action from top sVo stars such as Psyko Stevo, Gunner Lang, Chris Bond and Lupus Nebula! As the video begins to come to an end, the cameras begin to pan around the crowd as the fans jump up and down trying to get seen on TV! The announcer’s welcome the fans watching on TV to the latest Showdown episode as the camera pick out various signs in the crowd, including ‘You’ve been Gilmoured!’, ‘Psyko Stevo – The Best Around’ and ‘Kelly Flawless Just Slept With Your Dead Mom’! As the official sVo Showdown theme music begins to fade out, the attention of the fans turns towards the V-Tron on the top of the entrance stage as they eagerly anticipate tonight’s action getting underway.
The Answer
Backstage, inside the locker room of the greatest stable ever formed, the Industry, the camera comes to life. Chris Bond is leaning against the countertop bar, that is afforded to the superbly upper-tiered talent of the sanctioned Violence organization, texting on his cell. A smirk appears, and Talon walks out of the bathroom, war paint on his face.
Talon: Who you texting bitchtits?
Bond looks up, about to respond, but “Bad Romance” goes off again, and he’s back to texting away.
Bond: Christ, you’re nosey.
Bond says, not realizing that Talon has managed to make his way over and grab the phone from his hands.
Talon: Who’s Katy, and why are you going to fork her?
Bond smiles to himself. His eyes widen and Talon realizes what he meant.
Bond/Talon: Fucking T-9.
Bond snatches the phone back and and fixes his text before sending it and putting the phone away.
Bond: You ready for tonight T-Bag?
Talon: Better believe it!
Talon tosses Bond a water from behind the bar, just then, there’s a knock at the door.
Talon: Enter!
Bond looks back and spots the new and improved Paige All-Star saunter into the room. She stands, dead center of Bond, with Talon behind the bar.
Paige: Can you give us a minute, Talon?
Talon’s eyes furrow, he can’t believe she asks him to leave his own locker-room. Bond takes a sip from his water bottle.
Bond: He can stay, Paige. I already told him about your offer.
She nods, lips pursed.
Paige: Then you know why I’m here… do you have an answer for me Mr. Bond?
Chris takes another sip from his water bottle, and wipes his mouth with the back of his hand. Talon stands there, staring at the two, unsure of Bond’s answer.
Bond: I’ll do it for you Paige, but not because I feel bad about what’s happening. I want that title shot, and I’ll do all I can to hold up my end of the bargain. The Industry will help you wage war… for the price you agreed to.
Paige smiles, finally, something was going her way. Especially after the sVo lost Night to the Company.
Paige: Excellent, I’ll go draw up the papers, Chris.
Paige smiles again and makes her way out of the locker-room.
Bond’s phone goes off again, and he starts texting away. Talon stands there, awe struck, before smacking him in the shoulder.
Talon: Dude! You made her sweat, didn’t you? You told me about the deal late last Sunday Night… you didn’t answer Monday? Hell, even Tuesday?
Chris chuckles to himself.
Bond: Dude, it’s more fun this way.
Chris smiles, and closes his phone.
Bond: She’s totally hotter with dark hair.
Talon’s eyebrows raise and a smile appears across his face.
Talon: I can’t believe you used to tap that ass… how lucky where you?
Bond: Hey, fuck you buddy. That shit was off the hook.
Talon: Oh, I know…
Bond turns slowly, eyes narrowed, and lips pursed. Talon, however, stands there, a shit-eating grin plastered across his face, as the camera cuts back to ringside.
Going On Tour!
The camera cuts to the back of the Goodfellas Casino in time to see a taxi pull up. The rear driver’s side door slings open and Roscoe Shame steps out of the cab with his traditional attire on. He pulls out his gym bag from the backseat and makes his way into the building. Once inside the building, Shame walks through the backstage area at a brisk pace until he reaches his locker room. Walking inside, Shame drops his gym bag almost immediately at the sight of someone in his locker room. The man is none other than his new agent, Jeremiah Sloan.
Shame: You scared the shit out of me Mr. Sloan.
Sloan: Sorry about that…I kind of let myself in. And please don’t call me Mr. Sloan anymore, I’m your agent now just call me Jeremiah.
Shame: Fair enough…so what is it that you want?
Sloan: I got the first stop on our international tour set up!
Shame: Woo hoo!! Now that’s what I’m talking about! Where are we going?
Sloan: Going to Canada! Have to be there on Wednesday.
Shame: Canada?! That’s it? Can we go somewhere better?
Sloan: Whoa Roscoe ol’ boy! Calm down…..its one place at a time bruh. Canada has a big wrestling fan base and plus they are on the same continent.
Shame: Yeah I guess you are right. Have to start somewhere right..
Sloan: Now that is the attitude to have!
Sloan pats Roscoe on the shoulder as he is sitting down. Roscoe takes out his International Championship Belt and places between the two men. The two men glare at the title before brainstorming the upcoming tour.

Disrespected
The scene fades in the locker room of The Corporation as you can see them getting ready for their big matches tonight. We can also see a very fired up La Envidia Mata giving his group a pep talk.
Mata: I’m damn sick and tired of hearing about The Company and about The Industry. Damn it, we are The Corporation we are the most experienced and tested stable there is the wrestling business and tonight all this disrespect toward The Corporation ends. Tonight we take the fight to The Company, The Industry and the entire SVO because we don’t play second best to anyone.
Wrestling: What’s the plan then?
Mata: For started you and DJ have proven you’re the best tag team in the world. You have beaten every tag team there is to beat and yet you guys don’t get the respect you deserve but tonight you will. Tonight, you have The Industry’s two biggest guns in Chris Bond and Talon. The Industry has made a name for themselves all this time by ducking The Corporation but tonight their luck ends. Tonight you and DJ must beat those 2 Industry members the make shockwaves here in SVO and prove to the world that The Industry is just overrated.
DJ: You can count on Chris and myself. If we beat 4 other teams at Shadows of Power I don’t see how this 2 can win against us.
Mata: That’s good and all but it doesn’t end there. Raven, tonight you have the shot at the International Championship against Roscoe Shame. You know what you have to do.
Raven: Don’t worry I will do what you couldn’t do. I will defeat Roscoe Shame tonight like I did in the World Title Tournament to become the new International Champion.
Mata: That’s the intensity I want to see and Juliana Torres you have to prove to us that you deserve to be here. You have messed up way too many times here you better beat Nathan Paradine tonight or you may be out of a job.
Torres: Nathan Paradine is a huge test, for some an impossible test for me but tonight I prove to the entire world that Juliana Torres can beat any man no matter who he is.
Mata: I want a clean sweep tonight and as far as my match goes I won’t even comment on it because this match is a great waste of my time against a man I have already beaten and as far as the Las Vegas Championship goes that title will be in The Corporation sooner than anyone really think. After we take those 3 championships we will prove that one of us deserves a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship. There will be no more politics and no more holding The Corporation back. Now, we start to take over.
The scene fades as The Corporation yell in unison and look for their matches tonight.

The Challenge
The lights go out in the arena. All falls silent before suddenly “Rise of the Fallen” hits over the PA system. The crowd leaps to their feet as they know what this has to mean. Suddenly the lights reappear and there in the middle of the ring is “The Fallen” Azrael Caducus. He’s dressed in black jeans and black motorcycle boots. Tucked into his jeans is a white muscle shirt. Around his waist as a belt is a chain. His hair is combed back a little as he’s got a microphone in his hand. The music starts to die down as Azrael begins to speak.
Azrael: Es…Ve…..OH!
The crowd screams and hollers as Azrael seems to smirk a little and starts walking around the ring.
Azrael: It’s good to be here Las Vegas, Sin city. Just the place you’d expect someone like myself to end. But you see I’m not here to sight see. I’ve not come here to gamble foolishly. I’m not here to party. No I’m here to settle a few scores. A few scores that travel back years and federations. I have scores to settle with Billy Jacobs, and more importantly Talon. Seems to me I’ve lucked up though because both of you find yourselves in this little group you call The Industry. Now that’s convenient, means it wont be too hard to find you.
The fans seem to enjoy the idea of punishing Talon, their hero who just last week betrayed them all. Joining the ranks of Chris Bond and Kid F’n Cool in the Industry.
Azrael: But before I go straight after the two of you, I want to make it clear what happens to anyone who associates themselves with the likes of you. I think I’ll start with the bottom of your little totem pole and start with the self proclaimed Lord of Vegas! You see Kid, I have a problem with anyone who claims to be the “lord” of anything. There is only one lord in this cosmos and you sure as fuck aint him. Not to mention you’re claiming to be the Lord of the City of Sin, that means you’re claiming to be the worst thing in this sin filled city. So that means you should be the first one on my list to fall.
Azrael stops in the middle of the ring as the camera focuses in close on him.
Azrael: If you’re too scared I’m going to take that little belt of your’s dont worry, the first time around you dont even have to put it up for grabs. I know how your type covets such petty trinkets. No, just bring your sorry ass out next week and prepare to have it stomped into oblivion. That’s all that’s necessary, now true you can duck this match, but as any self proclaimed Lord. That wouldn’t be very respectful and you can’t very well claim to be the lord of anything if you’re scared of an actual fight for a change. You see I’m not some little hispanic bitch nor some red headed step child. No I’m The Fallen, Azrael Caducus, I’m a man who ravaged through Hostility all the way to the top. I’m a man who jumped onto the scene in Dream and was waging war until it closed. I’m a man who your little friends are scared of. Rightfully so because behind me is the power of the true Lord, and through him all things are possible. It is time for you to atone for your sinful existence Kid, and I’m here to collect.
Azrael drops the mic and as soon as he does the lights go out, when they come back on only a moment later Azrael has vanished.

We’re taken to the back locker rooms. Where we see inside an extravagent locker room Christopher St. James and Tobias Devereux both sitting in plush leather chairs.
Tobias: you know, we never did come up with a name or nottin Chris.
CSJ: It’s Christopher
Tobias: Fine fine, Chrstopher, dont dodge de question though
Tobias just smirks, he loved giving CSJ a hard time even if they were partners now. CSJ just sort of rolled his eyes at Tobias and thought for a moment.
CSJ: What exactly do you want then? Let’s hear some of your ideas for once
Tobias: No matter to me, we win either way. De merchandising ability though is what I’m thinking. Cee Ess Jay merchandise, Tobias merchandise, den team merchandise.
CSJ: Well of course. That’s the only way to make any amount of money in this business. We need something catchy. Something that rolls off the tongue.
Tobias: As long as we dont have nothing stupid like Corporation, or Industry, I mean seriously what de hell is with those names?
CSJ: We’re in a federation ran by The Company as well. Let’s not forget that
Tobias: Oh yes the big bad company with there bitch champion Night. Let’s see, what do we like?
CSJ: Money…
Tobias nods a little
Tobias: True, we do like money, it is sort of what we’re all about, so maybe something to do with money.
CSJ: Obviously. But we can’t just have “Money” as a name. We need something more. What else do we got?
Tobias: Well your money came from inheritance, mine came from stealing, so my money’s sort of dirty. Let’s face it Dirty Money is the best type of money.
CSJ: Quite……Wait! Dirty Money!?!?
Tobias: Need to have it seem professional though, we are after all business men. How about Dirty Money Inc?
CSJ: In keeping with the pattern of everyone else. I like it
Tobias: Yea but our name isn’t as cliche or sucky as deres. Besides I got some new music dat should go great with it.
CSJ: Oh really?
Tobias: Yea, you’ll see.
We cut out of our scene as D.M.I. is born.

RESULT: Juliana Torres def. Nathan Paradine via pinfall
The Hunt Is On
Nathan Paradine rolls underneath the bottom rope following his shocking loss to Juliana Torres, a determined expression on his face. He drops off the ring canvas and marches to the commentator booth, pushing both Nick Harris and Simon Austin out of the way. He starts to rummage around behind the desk, eventually emerging again with a microphone. He dives back into the ring and climbs to his feet, tapping on the microphone.
“Sound check, one two, one two. Is this thing on? It better be, because I’ve got something to say.” Paradine pauses for a moment to take a breath before continuing. “There’s a saying you might be familiar with… Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice… shame on me. Twice now I’ve made the mistake of putting my trust in the wrong person and twice it has come back to bite me on the ass at a critical moment. First, Bobby Dean at Resurrection… and last Sunday, Talon at Shadows of Power.”
Resounding boos around the arena at the mention of both Talon and BBD, however there are still a few cheers for the fallen “Hero”. Paradine sneers before speaking again.
“That’s right, ladies and gentlemen. Talon has fallen by the wayside, consumed by the lower vices of The Industry. A power shift is occurring right now in the sVo, and a war is brewing. Frankly, it is a war that Chris Bond and his Industry will not win. The hunt is on, and I will get blood before the end.”
Paradine flings down the microphone and marches backstage, as “Infra-Red” starts to blast over the sound system.
Canadians stick together? The scene fades to the backstage area where we see a very excited Rey Rosario with the Las Vegas Championship and his tag team partner Canadian Crippler bathing him with champagne. All of the sudden, La Envidia Mata appears and confronts The Canadian Connection.
Mata: Congratulations, Rey, you completely dominated and won the championship just like I knew you would.
Rosario: I know why you came out here. I know you want to try to intimidate me to get an early edge before our encounter next week for this championship.
Mata: Normally that would be the case but not this time. You see, Rey, right now there’s a war brewing here in SVO and I need to reinforce The Corporation and what better way to do it than by getting the original group back together. Canadian Connection, both of you started in The Corporation and you have gone on to become two of the greats but here in SVO you don’t get the respect you deserve.
Crippler: What do you mean?
Mata: Exhibit A: Fighting Los Locos 3 times in less than a month. Not only that but tonight Canadian Crippler wasn’t booked to compete and Rey, you’re so much better than just a Las Vegas Champion.
Rosario: He’s really making great points there.
Crippler: Rey, wake up, he’s your opponent next week there’s no way you can trust him.
Mata: I’ll tell you what, if you join us I guarantee you more exposure, better matches and to top it all off I will forfeit my title shot against you that I earned tonight.
Canadian Crippler and Rey Rosario huddle and talk to each other for a moment. They both raise up and turn to La Envidia Mata.
Crippler: We’ll admit, been in The Corporation made us who we are today and if we are to join a stable thre’s no one better than The Corporation so our answer is yes.
Mata: Canadian Connection, you’ve done a wise choice because as it stands now we’re three and 0 tonight and together we’re more powerful than we have ever been.
La Envidia Mata shakes hands with both Rey Rosario and Canadian Crippler as the scene fades out.

Who Do We Blame
In the parking deck of the Goodfella Casino, a hand held video camera is rolling. Two older men, dressed in business suits are laying face down in a small pool of blood that looks to be coming from their mouths and noses.
Camera Man: I guess you could say I am not accepted by guys like them. I am thrown keys, and told what to do. I am not your personal servant and I’m surely not in need of a twenty to park your town car. Who is to blame for their predicament? One would say me, but I say NO! They caused this themselves. I was walking towards the building when they disrespected me. Hated is what I am, hate is what got these two face down!

Show ‘Em Who’s Boss!
‘It’s about time you got here.’
The suited Company members are all sitting down inside their exclusive skybox, their identities obstructed by a smoky haze hanging over their heads. All of them are clothed in expensive matching suits, and either have vintage wines or fine cigars in their hands – if not both.
‘Then you should have asked me to come earlier’, a raspy voice replied.
‘I don’t think you understand-‘
‘No, it’s you who doesn’t understand!’ the raspy voice interjects.
The two voices belong to the two men standing in the centre of the room; one, a Company representative, but the man with whom he is sharing the conversation doesn’t quite fit the bill. Though he is wearing a smart suit, his gloved hands tightly grasp a steel cane…
‘I may have taken you up on your proposition, but I have signed nothing. Legally, there is nothing to stop me from leaving this room and going home right now. Understand this – I’m willing to play ball with you and follow orders – but only for as long as you stick to your end of the deal. Once I’ve settled some unfinished business, we go our separate ways!’
An awkward silence ensues, during which the Company member shifts uncomfortably and loosens his tie.
‘Well, we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it. For now, perhaps we could discuss tonight’s plans?’
The Company businessman motions toward the lounge area, filled with leather furniture. The raspy-voiced man silently obliges and wanders out of the frame to take his seat.
SINGLE MATCH
Billy Jacobs vs. Christopher St. James
White lights begin to flicker across the deck of the cruise ship, as the harmonious opening riff of “Look To Your Orb For the Warning” by Monster Magnet plays over the PA system.
Going down now
The lead singers voice cuts into the silence, and the crowd comes alive. They give a mixed reaction as ‘The Preacher’ Billy Jacobs walks out onto the stage. He stands at the top of the ramp, staring out into the audience, but as soon as the first beat of the drums kicks in, he begins his march down the ramp; each step in time with the music.
The mountain screamed three times today
I guess it thought it’d like to play
How much does one have to pay
To fry a peak and melt away
Launching titan’s breath on mine
The sweating measure lands on time
Upon reaching the ring, Jacobs quickly jogs up the ring steps, and hops up to the top of the nearest turnbuckle. Once again, he surveys the crowd at hand, paying little attention to reaction they are giving him.
And the old man, down by the river
Well he walks up and he walks on down
To the spaceship that’s parked at your doorstep
And it’s waiting to take you away now
Going down now
Jacobs looks up for a moment, as if staring into Heaven itself, and then hops down into the ring.
The opening beat of Yes by LMFAO starts to play over the loudspeakers as the lights dim, only to be replaced with gold and white spot lights peppering the arena in what appears to be silver and gold flashes. As the opening verse is played CSJ appears in a shower of golden sparks at the top of the ramp accompanied by two beautiful women one wearing a silver dress while the other wearing a golden dress, each standing on either side of CSJ as he poses for everyone to admire him.
Slowly and deliberately he makes his way down to the ring, taking his time to ensure that everyone can pause and admire his Godlike presence. He makes his way to the ring and allows the two women on each of his arms to go before him and climb onto the apron. They sit on the second rope as The Personification of Perfection, Mr. #1derful, and God’s Gift To Everything climbs onto the apron, enters the ring through the second rope and helps his divas into the ring as the lights return to normal. He pauses again for all to admire him as the two ladies take their places on either side of him and look up at him admiringly as the music continues to play.
The ref calls for the bell and God’s Gift To Everything, Christopher St. James versus The Preacher himself, Billy Jacobs, is underway!
The two start things off with a basic tie up in the middle of the ring with Jacobs getting the upper hand by grabbing CSJ’s arm and twisting! CSJ screams out in pain as Jacobs only twists harder, spinning Jacobs around the ring before pulling him and hitting the cocky young superstar with a DDT! Jacobs quickly goes for the pin….
ONE!
T…NO!
CSJ kicks out and rolls to the ropes furthest from Jacobs who stalks his prey over to his hiding spot. The ref calls for a clean break since CSJ is holding the ropes with all of his might as Jacobs pulls him up by his hair. The ref doesn’t get his wishes though as Jacobs lifts CSJ high up in the air and holds him there before dropping him in a beautiful, textbook, stalling suplex! CSJ hits the ground hard, gripping his back in obvious pain. Without letting him breath though Jacobs is back on him, methodical in his approach as he continues to stomp on CSJ before sitting him up and driving his knee into CSJ’s back, yanking the rich boy’s arms back in the same movement! CSJ yells out in pain as the ref asks him if he wants to quit……
CSJ shakes his head no! Turns out CSJ may be a bit tougher than people had originally anticipated. Slowly, CSJ is able to stand up and turn around delivering a swift boot to Jacobs, doubling him over! CSJ goes on the offensive with a European uppercut, backing The Preacher up to the ropes before whipping Billy to the other side!
Billy Jacobs bounces off the ropes and runs back at CSJ who stands ready. However, before anything can be said or done, CSJ is knocked backwards and over the ropes by Jacobs’ Right Hand Of God maneuver!
The ref begins the count as Jacobs heads around the ring toward his opponent….

Jacobs reaches CSJ who is still lying on the ground. Jacobs stands over CSJ, picking him up….

CSJ thumbs The Preacher in the eye from out of no where! Jacobs releases his hold on CSJ as the ref continues the count but glares at CSJ for his underhanded tactic…
SIX!

Jacobs slides back into the ring and CSJ is on him like white on rice. Fists rain down on top of The Preacher who takes his turn to hold onto the ropes, forcing the ref to call for a break and pulling CSJ away. Jacobs stands up and CSJ runs at him again, but Jacobs is ready and runs forward, meeting CSJ with a clothesline!
Jacobs and CSJ take each other out with a clothesline and they both lie on the mat as the ref begins the ten count…
ONE!
TWO!

FOUR!
Both men begin to stir and begin to hammer each other with rights and lefts from their knees, making it up to their feet to continue their brawl. Jacobs gets the upper hand and whips CSJ into the ropes. CSJ bounces back and hits Jacobs with a flying forearm! Jacobs goes down but bounces back up as CSJ gets another running start, and is quickly lifted up by a prepared Billy Jacobs, who looks to deliver a powerbomb to CSJ!
This time however, it is CSJ who is ready and drops backwards, taking Jacobs down with a huracanrana! Jacobs bounces back up as Jacobs stands as well. The two match each others glares as they run at each other firing lefts and rights once again at each other!
Out of no where Jacobs hits his finisher called Bow Your Head! CSJ’s head bounces off the mat as Billy makes the cover….

In the Shadows…
Backstage sVo interviewer Tamara Boyd is standing by with Paige All-Star, the President of the sVo and the woman leading the fight against ‘The Company’ With Chris Bond and the Industry already signed on early in the night to fight in the sVo’s corner, albeit at the cost of granting Bond a PPV World Title shot, Paige looks pretty pleased with her work so far already tonight.
Tamara Boyd – “Well Paige, although your husband Johnny All Star didn’t win the World Championship in the main event, and Night defected to fight on behalf of the Company, you must be pleased about the reception that the Shadows of Power 2010 PPV received last week.”
Paige All Star – “I was happy with the ratings we got last week, but if we are to continue to provide great shows like that every week we have to show the Company what the sVo is all about and prove to them that we won’t sit back and let them dictate how things go down around here. The wrestling fans don’t want to see corporate champions, they want to see guys go down to that ring and have to give everything they have to get to the top of the game.”
Tamara Boyd – “Well speaking of corporate champions, Night revealed at Shadows of Power that he is now fighting on behalf of the Company, how shocked were you by this?”
Paige – “I was shocked at the time, but thinking back about it now maybe we shouldn’t have been surprised. Night’s own manager used to be a member of the Company, so its quite possible he had a hand in brokering the deal. However rest assured that I think Night will face the toughest test of his career against Chris Bond at the Showcase 2010 PPV in June….. that’s if he makes it that far.”
Tamara Boyd – “Well you have promised Night a mystery opponent in tonight’s main event, just who will the World Champion be facing?”
Paige – “Well I want to keep this a secret until the last possible moment for our World Champion, but rest assured I think that his mystery opponent will be the cure for his latest actions over the past few weeks….”
Tamara Boyd – “Well last Sunday you personally were subject to another kidnapping attempt by Scott Love and Weapon X, only for someone on the inside of the Company to warn you about it. Do you have contacts in the Company?”
Paige – “Well just like the Company had Night pretending to be in the sVo only to reveal himself as a Company member, I have my own source in the Company that knows how important it is that the sVo triumphs in this war. I have been in this business a long time, and I have many contacts through my family. If the time is right, then he will reveal himself and lead the sVo to glory…..”
Paige and Tamara nod to each other to let each other know that the interview is over.
Tamara Boyd – “Well there you have it from the sVo President, now back to ringside for the massive sVo Tag Team Championship match between the Corporation and the Industry!
Paige All Star makes her way away from the interview area, however as she walks, she doesn’t even notice Weapon X step around the corner and slowly follow her down the corridor…..

Playing Dirty
Chris Bond and Talon are the new tag team champions! Before any type of celebration can take place however, FIGJAM by Butterfinger blares over the speakers. The crowd is abuzz with confusion as well as Bond and Talon until everybody’s favorite (by “favorite” we really mean that no one likes him at all) roster member appears on stage.
Christopher St. James is dressed in his very best suit, black shoes, black slacks, red shirt with black tie, and a black blazer to complete the ensemble. Before anyone can do any talking CSJ takes over as the music fades out.
“It’s great to have sound technicians hired specifically for you isn’t it? I mean so far I’m really the only one that has done it, but I figured that if I was going to come out here and waste my time on YOU, the NEW sVo Tag Team Champions, I may as well come out to music that started and ended on the right cue right?
The crowd of course boos, perhaps the loudest boos coming from Bond and Talon as CSJ continues.
“Yeah yeah, I know I’m Mr. Popularity but I had to come out and say my piece about this turn of events. You see, I wanted to hear it straight from the horse’s collective mouth, why Talon and Bond deserve a title shot. I mean, what exactly have you done? Sure, Talon you’ve beaten Night, and Bond, you’ve beaten The Corporation’s leader twice. BUT, that shouldn’t have a bearing about your “partnership” there getting a title shot.
I mean, let’s take a look at pure perfection and how it’s overlooked in this federation. ME. You want to talk about unfair? Try beating the International Champion and the next week beating the World Heavyweight Champion in nontitle matches. What happens after that? I get booked against no namers like Joey Peyton. Last week at Shadows of Power, I helped form the MOST dominating team that this company has to offer, and what happens? Paige Johnson schedules us in separate singles matches and schedules you two in a tag team TITLE match. Which brings me back to my question.
What the FUCK did you two guys do to even DESERVE a title shot? Did you really have to suck Paige’s dick? I mean I’ve only heard rumors, but this pretty much verifies it in my head.”
At this Talon and Bond are begging CSJ to get in the ring with them so they can show him exactly how they got a shot at the titles. CSJ looks like he’s considering it. He gets down to the ring as Talon and Bond sit on the second rope, inviting CSJ to join them inside the ring. However, before he climbs up into the ring CSJ stops himself and backs up, smiling.
“Well, maybe later. Even a full blown retard would see that I am out numbered. You have the upper hand gentlemen. However, don’t forget, money can buy anything, and it seems that it just bought me my ace up my sleeve….”
At this time CSJ motions for Talon and Bond to look behind them. Talon does at first, just incase while Bond keeps an eye on CSJ. Talon sees something and taps Bond on the shoulder. Bond turns and both of them see Tobias Devereux in black jeans and a nice dress shirt unbuttoned. Over each one of his shoulders is one of the tag titles. Tobias is perched on the banister and looks up realizing he’s been seen. Tobias has a big smirk on his face as he nods and jumps off the bannister and heads up into the crowd. Meanwhile Bond has dropped out of the ring and is giving chase. Meanwhile Talon rushes out and heads towards CSJ.
CSJ: Oh come on guys, at least we compensated you?
At that the camera’s pan over to the time keepers table where we see two checks one made out to Talon and the other to Bond, each for a hundred dollars. Talon doesn’t seem to care as he heads for CSJ who decides it’s best to run and fight another day. We fade as we watch Talon and Bond both respectively giving chase to the members of Dirty Money Inc.
sVo Showcase 2010
27th June 2010
Featuring sVo World Champion Night vs. Chris Bond
The last stop before Global Takeover….
SINGLE MATCH
Night vs. Mystery Opponent
A whisper…
“I’m dreaming…”
The distant chords of Deftones’ “Knife Party” cut through the PA as the arena lights cut completely. The Tron sparks to life as the words “I’m dreaming…” float onto it. As the song errupts the words are replaced by one.
A name.
” N I G H T “
An explosion of red light as a man in a black mask appears. At least, the mask appears black at first, but on closer inspection it appears to be made of the night sky. The mask does not entirely cover the man’s head and a shaved head can be seen at the top of his mask, the sVo World Heavyweight Championship strapped around his waist.
Night stands at the top of the entrance ramp, motionless for a moment, smirking at the booing crowd. Smugly he pats the title as he begins his walk to the ring. Although he moves seemlessly, he moves deceptively quickly to the ring, sliding deliberately and headfirst into the ring. As the champ begins to warm up in the ring the lights return to normal and the entire arena, Night included turn to the top of the entrance ramp awaiting the announcement of his opponent.
The sVo-tron flickers to life and a silhouette seated on a plush Italian leather sofa comes to view. He draws from a cigar – the illuminated tip the only truly visible detail.
Unknown: Night, for so long you were the biggest thorn in our side. Last week you made the smartest decision of your life – so we wanted to reward you. So we dug up an old friend of yours we knew you’d be dying to see again.
Despite being cloaked in shadows, the grin can still be made out on the unknown man’s face.
Unknown: Here’s your opponent…
The arena is suddenly bathed in darkness – a single spotlight on the top of the entrance ramp. A purple mist slowly beings to unravel down the aisle. And into the spotlight steps a man, looking somewhere in his 50s. His face covered by scars and now partially masked by a beard. Despite his somewhat changed appearance the sVo universe explode as Isaac White makes his way to the ring his eyes locked firmly on the masked man ahead of him. On the other end, Night stares in disbelief, his gaze also locked intently on the returning White. Isaac reaches the ring and slides in, coming face to face with his old adversary – the crowd forgetting their dislike of both of these men and erupting with cheers with the apparent rematch from Retribution 2008!
The tension is palpable as both men exchange words in the ring. The referee steps in to try to retain control – realizing this is a pointless gesture he frantically calls for the bell signaling the start of the match. There is no hesitation from either man as White and Night lunge forwards at each other. White connects first with a hard right hand on the champion, followed by a back elbow, a left hook punch and a hard headbutt which dazes Night momentarily. The masked man strikes back quickly with two hard roundhouse kicks to the ribs of White who winces as he stumbles backwards slightly, only to catch Night off-guard with a knife-edge chop and dropping him with a dropkick! Night springs back to his feet, but White is waiting for him and doubles the Japanese wrestler over with a hard knee to the midsection before grabbing his head and flipping him forwards with a snapmare. Night reels on the mat as White kicks him hard in the back before bouncing off the ropes and driving another kick hard into Night’s sternum! The masked man falls back to the mat, bouncing back up and gingerly climbing to his feet only to be dropped by a running clothesline from White. Again Night climbs to his feet and again is dropped by a clothesline. As he regains his footing White launches at him, dropping him once more with a shoulder block, this time dropping down onto Night with a standing elbow drop. He stomps away on the downed Night before pulling him to his feet, only to hoist him backwards and drop him on the back of his head with a German suplex! White hooks the leg.
One….
Two….
Night kicks out at two. White immediately grabs hold of Night by the mask and pulls him once more to standing. White proceeds to whip Night towards the the turnbuckle before charging in himself and launching a big splash at Night – only to hit nothing but turnbuckle as the masked man rolls out of the way, kicking White as he turns and launching him with a double-underhook suplex floating through into an armbar! White yells out in pain as he struggles, Night locking the armbar in tight. White punches at Night, before he manages to roll backwards, shifting the pressure off his arm long enough to struggle free. Night wastes little time as he again drops white with a drop-toe-hold, floating over into a side headlock with White lying flat on his stomach on the mat. Night works White up so both are kneeling, and again to standing before spinning across and flipping White with a wristlock takeover. White stands and Night immediate charges at him with a front dropkick.
The crowd give a mixed reaction as Industry member Chris Bond steps through the curtains at the top of the entrance ramp, glaring intensely at the sVo Champion, Night. Bond stays put at the top of the ramp, watching. Meanwhile in the ring Night again sends White flying, this time with an exploder suplex – hooking White’s leg for the pin.
One….
Two….
White this time kicks out at two. Night again pulls White to standing and locks him in a side-headlock. The two of them back towards the ropes, White using their momentum to push Night across the ring before diving forward and on to the mat, Night leaping over him on his return. White springs to his feet, catching Night with a back body drop as he approaches again – only for the champion to do a full rotation and somehow land back on his feet! Night turns and kicks White hard in the kidneys, the veteran clutching at his side. Night lines up and kicks at White’s other kidney, White now doubling forward in pain. Finally catching sight of Chris Bond at the top of the ramp, Night stares at him for a moment before turning his attention silently back towards the reeling Isaac White. Pulling Isaac to his feet, Night whips him into the opposite turnbuckle, charging in with a shining wizard – only to miss as White drops out of the way. Night struggles to regain his balance and is caught completely off-guard as White hits Night in the ribs and pulls him backwards into a tree-of-woe before backing up a few steps and nailing Night with a dropkick to the face. Smirking, Bond turns and disappears once more behind the curtain. In the ring both men slowly begin to climb back to their feet. White, slowly quicker to regain his senses somewhat, grabs hold of Night and sets him up for his old finisher, ‘The Cure’!
The crowd pop but are stunned as White doesn’t drop Night to the mat, but instead turns to him and simply shoves him backwards slightly – Night staring in disbelief at White not finishing him off just then. Without warning, Night now doubles White over with a boot to the midsection before hoisting him onto his shoulders in preparation for ‘The Dreaming’! Once again the crowd are shocked as Night simply releases his grip on White allowing Isaac to simply drop back to the mat in a standing position. The two men stare at each other for a moment – each cautious of the other…
… only for both men to burst into laughter before shaking hands in the middle of the ring to a huge chorus of boos. The fans in attendance as not only has Isaac White returned to the sVo, but he has now apparently aligned himself with longtime rival Night as well as the Company!
Suddenly, the chorus of boos are intermixed with a few cheers as Bond, Talon, Jacobs and Kid Cool burst through the curtains and come tearing down the entrance ramp to the ring to confront the two Company men. Seeing the four members of Industry rushing towards them, White and Night exit the ring – Night grabbing his belt on his way past – over the barrier and out through the crowd as Industry slide into the ring. The four of them lean against the ropes nearest White and Night, challenging them to return to the ring. Suddenly a loud clapping can be heard. Paige Johnson-All-Star stands with microphone in hand.
Paige Johnson: Well, I never thought I’d be saying this, but Industry – you just did the right thing for the good of sVo. I’ve watched for too long as the Company manipulates and threatens the safety and well-being of the employees and happenings of the sVo. What we need is a united front to stand up against this negative force… even a front I never would have expected to have to rely on…
