Backstage
Spinning the Roulette Wheel

The camera cuts backstage in the Goodfellas Casino arena to the office of sVo Owner Jon Page. Page is standing by next to a giant roulette wheel which is taking up a massive space in his office. A couple of Las Vegas show girls are standing either side of the wheel, smiling falsely into the camera. Further along from them stand Big Aug August Lazar to the left, and Absolute Zero to the right, each men flanked by a security guard.

Jon Page: “I really got to find somewhere better to store this fucking wheel…”

Page mutters under his breath as the producer counts down to five before signaling that they are live!

Jon Page: “Ladies and gentlemen… esteemed competitors….”

Page waves his hand around to Big Aug and Absolute Zero who stare at each other.

Jon Page: “Welcome to Seasons Beatings and welcome to the spin of the wheel that will determine the match type to crown the first ever sVo Roulette Champion!”

Page holds the sVo Roulette Championship up in front of the camera, and the belt glistens under the lights in the office. Zero and Big Aug briefly take their eyes off of each other for a few seconds to look at the belt, before return to stare down their opponent.

Jon Page: “Well ladies, without further ado, spin that wheel!”

The camera zooms in on the roulette wheel that is branded with the Goodfellas Casino trademark and has different match types in each segment rather than the usual numbers. The smiles seem fixed on the faces of the two show girls as they take a big spin of the wheel!

Big Aug and Absolute Zero turn their attention to the wheel as it spins around and around, waiting to see what match type they will contest tonight.

Two minutes later and the wheel is still spinning and only just showing signs of slowing down, as Page glares at the two Vegas show girls for spinning it so quickly.

The wheel slowly begins to slow down, flipping over each match type agonizingly…..

Cage Match…. No

Table Match…. No

Inferno Match…. No

Street Fight…. No

Ladder Match….

Jon Page: “Ladder match! Wow what a great way to crown a new Champion! Guys, one of you two will become the first ever Roulette Champion tonight… any thoughts?”

Big Aug slowly steps forward to speak, but before he can even get the first word out Absolute Zero springs forward and cracks him with a forearm to the chin! Big Aug staggers back a few steps, but before he can react the security jump in between the two men.

Jon Page: “Right none of that in here, get them out of here!”

The security struggle to contain Big Aug and Absolute Zero as the scene fades out!”

sVo Tag Team Championship Match
The Canadian Connection (c) vs. Patriot Act

‘Welcome To Toronto’ by K Money hits the sound system, and there are loud boos from the crowd as onto the top of the entrance ramp steps Scott Cole, Jake Hughes & Alissia Young of the Canadian Connection! Young signals to the crowd, before slowly walking down the entrance ramp bopping her head to the music, as she is flanked by the greatest tag team to ever come out of Canada. Young rolls into the ring under the bottom rope before climbing to the second rope and staring out at the crowd with her arms folded, as Cole & Hughes jump up onto the ring apron and pose for the booing fans.

‘Testify’ by Rage Against the Machine hits the sound system, and the fans in the arena boo loudly as Patriot Act walk out onto the top of the entrance ramp and throw out a salute to the crowd! Dallas Jordan, Travis Armstrong & Lance Abbot look out at the crowd with disgust, before breaking away from their salutes and marching down the entrance ramp towards the ring, making sure not to touch any of the fans that are reaching over the barrier to try and grab them. The three members of Patriot Act climb into the ring, with Jordan standing tall in the middle of the squared circle whilst Armstrong & Abbot head to opposite corners of the ring. All three members throw up another salute at the booing crowd, as the music slowly fades out.

With both teams in the ring, the referee holds the sVo tag Team Championship belts in the air to signal that they will be on the line in tonight’s match! Alissia Young and Dallas Jordan cheer their teams on from ringside as the referee calls for the bell, and Jake Hughes and Travis Armstrong get things started for their teams.

Both men circle around each other before tying up in the middle of the ring. Armstrong quickly grabs Hughes in a wrist lock, but Hughes counters with a side head lock takedown on his opponent. The challenger quickly gets up to his feet and grabs his opponent by the arm, before shooting him into the ring ropes. Hughes bounces back into the middle of the ring and Armstrong knocks him down to the mat with a shoulder block. Armstrong poses for the crowd, before pulling Hughes back up to his feet and trying to send him into the corner of the ring, however Hughes reverses the irish whip and sends Armstrong into the corner, before following up with a clothesline in the corner!

Armstrong staggers out of the corner of the ring, as Jake Hughes makes the tag out to his tag team partner Scott Cole. Cole leaps into the ring and lands a punching combo on Armstrong, before taking him down to the mat with a hip toss takedown. Alissia Young cheers on her team mate from the outside of the ring, as Cole locks Armstrong in an arm bar submission hold and looks for the tap out! However Lance Abbot has other ideas as he quickly leaps into the ring and breaks up the submission hold.

The fans boo loudly for the interference from Abbot, but as the referee forces him back into the corner of the ring, Jake Hughes takes the opportunity to climb into the ring behind the back of the referee and nail a double team suplex on Armstrong along with Scott Cole! Hughes quickly rolls back out of the ring before the referee turns around, as Cole makes the cover on Armstrong.

One,

Two,

No! Armstrong manages to get a shoulder up off of the mat! Dallas Jordan breaths a sigh of relief on the outside of the ring, as Armstrong tries to get up and crawl across to his corner of the ring to make the tag out to his partner. However as he does, Cole quickly grabs him by the ankle to try and stop him tagging out! Cole tries to pull Armstrong away by the leg, but Armstrong manages to shake him free with a reverse mule kick before diving and tagging out to Lance Abbot!

Abbot quickly hits the ring and knocks down Cole with a clothesline, before rushing over and nailing Jake Hughes on the ring apron with a big right hand. Abbot turns back around to Cole and lands a jawbreaker on the Tag Team Champion, before following up with a snap suplex as he gets to his feet!

The fans give a mixed reaction to Lance Abbot as he signals for Cole to get to his feet, before drilling him with a belly to belly suplex in the middle of the ring and making the cover!

One,

Two,

No!

Cole manages to get a shoulder up off of the mat just in time and this one continues! Abbot looks angry at not getting the three as he rises up to his feet and stomps away on his opponent. Abbot pulls Cole up to a standing position and positions him for a German suplex, but Cole fights him off with some back elbow strikes before reversing his position and hitting a German suplex of his own! Cole quickly rolls across and makes the tag back out to Jake Hughes.

Hughes leaps into the ring and ducks an attempted right hand from Abbot, before landing a forearm shot to Travis Armstrong to knock him off of the ring apron! Hughes spins around and ducks under an attempted clothesline from Lance Abbot, before hitting a Fisherman’s suplex with a bridge in the middle of the ring!

One,

Two,

Abbot doesn’t kick out, but the three count doesn’t come as Dallas Jordan pulls the referee clean out of the ring!

The fans boo loudly as Dallas Jordan stands over the referee on the outside of the ring looking pleased with his actions! The referee begins to dust himself off, but before Dallas Jordan can do anything, he is nailed by a flying Alissia Young who rushes around and lands a massive running dropkick to ‘The Patriot’!

The crowd pop for the move, but on the inside of the ring, Abbot tries to take advantage with a school boy roll up on Jake Hughes! The referee dives in to make the count!

One,

Two,

….

This time it is Alissia Young who pulls the referee out of the ring before he can finish the count! The fans boo loudly the actions of Young as she shrugs her shoulders and the referee screams in her face.

On the outside of the ring Lance Abbot is loudly complaining, but with the referee tied up with Alissia Young on the outside, Jake Hughes and Scott Cole line up their opponent before landing the ‘Dis-Connected’ double team finisher! Hughes makes the cover whilst Scott Cole restrains Travis Armstrong and Alissia Young pushes the referee back into the ring!

One,

Two,

Three!

It’s all over and the sVo Tag Team Champions have retained their titles and inflicted the first loss on Patriot Act! The referee reluctantly lifts the arms of Cole and Hughes in the air, as Alissia Young grabs the title belts and rolls into the ring with them. The three members of the Canadian Connection celebrate with the gold as Armstrong, Abbot and Jordan re-group on the outside of the ring.

Winners via pinfall & still sVo Tag Team Champions: The Canadian Connection

Up In Smoke

The camera heads backstage to the interview area where Katie Smith, in front of a sVo backdrop, is standing by with one of the four competitors in tonight’s sVo Las Vegas Championship Match “The Human Highlight Reel” Kenneth Williams with a joint at his ear.

Katie Smith: Ken, it has been a roller coaster of a ride when it comes to the Las Vegas Championship what are your thoughts on who really deserves to be in this match and what do you think your odds are?

Ken takes the joint from his ear and lights it.

Katie Smith: Hey I don’t think you can smoke that in…

Kenny puts his finger on her lips as he takes a drag and exhales.

Kenneth Williams: Shhh shhh sshhh, just let it happen. Now I’m aware that Jacob Izaz is upset that me and Kyle were able to get our way into this match. Personally, I think it’s selfish and delusional seein’ as me and Jacob were both in that match that ended in a no contest because of Money Malone. Not to mention we both ended up losin’ to Kyle, so why you think you deserve this shot is beyond me. Plus, I was the guy that had you out for the count before Money Malone screwed us both over. In reality you should be the one left out of this soiree baby.

Katie Smith:  And what about Kyle McRae and Money Malone?

Kenneth Williams: Kyle is the guy on my list to prove my worth. He got me fair and square in that ring and gave me my first loss in this company. Now, Money Malone can kiss my entire ass. If it wasn’t for that bullshit you pulled on Showdown #114, it would be me facin’ you man to man for that sVo Las Vegas Championship that you don’t deserve to have around your waist. Regardless, tonight will the night that this company realizes that “The Human Highlight Reel” is the real champion regardless of the decision. I’m willing to go out there and sacrifice my whole-body, not for the belt, but for the respect of this company and every fan in the arena. If any of my opponents have an ounce of that in them then we’re in for a match of the year and we’ll have this place up in smoke. Now if you’d excuse me gorgeous, I have a title to get ready to win.

Kenneth takes a drag of his joint blow it in the camera and walks off

Katie Smith: Well, there you have it folks. Kenneth has promised this to be a match of the year and just like you I’m excited for this one.

Katie smiles as the scene fades to back to the arena.

sVo Roulette Championship Ladder Match
Absolute Zero vs. ‘Big Aug’ August Lazar

The familiar sound of “Ice, Ice Baby” hits the sound system and the fans cheer as dry ice rises up from the sides of the entrance ramp. After a few seconds, the veteran Absolute Zero steps out of the dry ice and stands at the top of the entrance ramp bobbing his head to the music! The fans cheer Absolute Zero, as he takes a few seconds to acknowledge them before making his way down to the ring and diving in under the bottom rope! Absolute Zero turns and poses for the hard camera with his arms crossed and his head bopping to the music!

“Starts Right Here” by Foreign Air and Kenny Mason plays and out comes the towering form of the man called Big Aug! He puts a hand on his forehead and scans the crowd before heading towards the ring slowly. He raises a hand in the air and raises his arm to the cheering crowd. He steps onto the ring apron and eggs the crowd on for a louder response then steps over the ropes to enter the squared circle.

The lights in the arena dim as the referee is handed the brand new sVo Roulette Championship belt, which he holds high in the air to signal that it will on the line in tonight’s match! Lazar and Zero both look up at the belt, knowing that they have to go the final step in the tournament to go down in sVo history. The referee attaches the belt to the cord hanging from the top of the arena, and both men watch as the belt is lifted high into the air before hanging 20 feet above the ring, waiting for its first owner to come and claim it!

With the belt in position, the referee calls for the bell to be rung and the final match of the Roulette Championship tournament to get started!

Lazar looks as keen to get his hands on Zero as win the match after the cheap shot earlier in the night, and the big man lurches forward to try and grab hold of his opponent. However the veteran uses his speed to duck out of the way of the big rookie, before nailing him with a diving dropkick to the back of his knee. Lazar sinks down to one knee in pain, and Zero quickly bounces off of the ring ropes before returning with a big knee strike to the face on his opponent.

With Lazar down on the mat and hurting, the fans boo as Zero shows no mercy in stomping away on the knee of the big man! Lazar tries to get to his feet, but crumples under the pain of his knee, as Zero lets out an audible laugh before taking his opponent fully down to the mat with a swingblade!

The boos ring out around the arena as Zero climbs out of the ring with Lazar laying on the floor, and quickly pulls a ladder out from under the ring apron. Zero slides the ladder into the ring, before climbing in himself. Zero begins to set the ladder up in the middle of the ring, but as he does Lazar kicks it away with his good leg which draws a cheer from the crowd. Zero looks angrily down at his opponent,  before dragging him back up to a standing position. Zero backs Lazar into the corner of the ring with some stiff knife edge chops across the chest, but Lazar fights back with a big head butt which gets a cheer from the crowd.

Zero staggers up to his feet holding his face from the head butt, but Lazar scoops him up into the air with ease before hitting him with a scoop slam onto the steel ladder! The fans cheer as Zero writhes around on top of the ladder in pain! Lazar tries to get some feeling back in his knee, before dragging Absolute Zero back up to a standing position. Lazar lands a right hand to his opponent, before taking him down with a Pendulum backbreaker in the middle of the ring.

With Zero down, the fans cheer Lazar on as he limps over to the ladder and picks it off of the mat, before setting it up under the Championship belt! Lazar slowly begins to climb up the ladder towards the gold, taking each rung of the ladder slowly and still obviously suffering from his knee injury. Lazar reaches up to see if he can grab the belt, but as he does he is grabbed by Absolute Zero! Zero yanks Lazar down off of the ladder, causing the big man to limp on one leg as he lands, before Zero takes him down with a spinning heel kick in the middle of the ring!

The fans boo Absolute Zero as he stomps away on August Lazar on the mat, before turning his attention to the ladder still set up in the middle of the ring! Absolute Zero begins to climb the ladder, as the fans rise to their feet to see the crowning of the first ever sVo Roulette Champion! Zero reaches near the top of the ladder and is within touching distance of the belt, but before he can grab it Lazar rises up on one leg and uses his strength to tip the ladder over!

Zero’s eyes grow wide as the ladder tips over, bouncing on the top rope and causing him to fall hard to the outside of the ring!

The fans are on their feet for the huge bump from Absolute Zero, as August Lazar regroups in the corner of the ring and tries to get some feeling back in his knee! The referee quickly rushes to check on the condition of Absolute Zero on the outside of the ring, as Lazar slowly tries to pull himself up. The fans cheer August Lazar on as he slowly limps over to the ladder and re-positions it in the middle of the ring. Lazar begins his slow climb to the top of the ladder, still favoring one leg as Absolute Zero begins to stir on the outside of the ring.

It looks like the rookie is about to win his first sVo gold as he reaches mid way up the ladder, but as he does Zero climbs slowly up onto the ring apron! Lazar desperately reaches for the gold as he sees Zero coming, but the veteran sacrifices himself as he somehow leaps up and springboards off of the top rope to hit a spinning heel kick onto the ladder, to knock it and Lazar down to the mat! Both men and the ladder are now down in the middle of the ring and the fans are on their feet wondering just who is going to become the first ever champion!

Lazar and Zero both slowly begin to stir in the middle of the ring as the referee checks on them, before both seemingly having the same idea! Lazar and Zero both reach for the ladder, both grabbing opposite ends! Both men try and wrestle the ladder away from each other, but there is only one winner as Lazar easily pulls the ladder away from Zero! The fans cheer as Lazar swings the ladder in the direction of Zero, only for the former P:V star to duck out of the way!

Zero rolls out of the ring to avoid being struck with the ladder, but with Lazar in control, the big man sets the ladder up in the middle of the ring! The fans cheer as Lazar once again begins his slow climb, but as he does Zero is reaching back under the ring and pulling out a second ladder!

Absolute Zero seems quicker on his feet as he slides the ladder into the ring and quickly sets it up alongside the first ladder, before climbing to the top himself! As Zero reaches the top of his ladder, the fans are on their feet as Lazar reaches up trying to grab hold of the title belt! Zero cuts the big man off with a punch to the midsection, before trying to knock him down off of the ladder with some big right hands! Lazar looks in trouble on one leg at the top of the ladder, as Zero tries to land the final blow to knock him over, but suddenly Lazar ducks one of the punches from Zero and reaches forward and grabs his opponent around the face!

The fans rise to their feet and pop as Lazar locks in the ‘Got Your Face!’ submission hold on his opponent on the top of the ladder! Zero tries to struggle free from the hold, but the more he fights it the harder Lazar locks it in! The fans cheer as Zero begins to fade under the submission hold, before finally passing out and falling from the top of the ladder down to the floor!

Lazar looks around excitedly, as the big rookie realizes what is about to happen!

The crowd roar Lazar on as he looks out at the crowd, before reaching up and grabbing the title belt and unhooking it! The fans roar as the referee calls for the bell, whilst Lazar sits on the top of the ladder and lifts the sVo Roulette Championship belt over his head to celebrate his capture and place in the history books!

Absolute Zero is motionless on the mat as the celebrations continue for the first ever sVo Roulette Champion August Lazar!

McRae stares around at the sold out crowd with a huge smile on his face, before marching down the entrance ramp towards the ring. McRae does a whole lap of the ring and slaps hands with as many fans as he can, before sliding head first into the ring and doing a forward roll and a jump before landing on the second rope of the turnbuckle. The fans jump straight to their feet in cheer as “Family Ties” by Baby Keen & Kendrick Lamar begins to play through the sound system. The familiar adlibs of Keem accompanying the vinyl horn flutters of the classic instrumental echo throughout the arena as Kenneth Williams steps out onto the ramp.

Fire and pyro began shooting out of the stage as Kenny stands at the ramp with a playful grin as he stands at a military rest with his head cocked to the side before taking off in a full sprint to the ring, making sure to slap hands of the fans on his way. He hops onto the outside of the turnbuckle before looking out into the crowd and delivering a vicious dab with a look of disgust on his face. He hops into the ring and prepares in his corner.

‘Not for Radio’ by Nas hits the sound system and the fans cheer as onto the top of the entrance ramp swaggers the confident looking Jacob Izaz. Izaz holds his arms in the air and stands motionless for a few seconds as flash bulbs go off around the arena, before he slowly continues his swagger down the entrance ramp towards the ring. Izaz hops up onto the ring apron and again throws his arms up in the air to poses for the crowd, before climbing through the ropes and into the squared circle.

“The Champ is Here” by O Fresh hits the sound system, and boos ring out as the arena is basked in a dull red glow. After a few seconds the boos get louder as Money Malone steps out onto the top of the entrance ramp wearing a ‘Blood Money’ t-shirt and holding a roll of dyed red dollar bills in his hand. Malone taunts at the top of the entrance ramp, before slowly walking down towards the ring. Malone throws the red dollar bills into the crowd before slowly climbing up into the ring and taunting on the middle as the music slowly fades out.

With all four men in the ring, the referee takes the sVo Las Vegas Championship belt from Money Malone and holds it in the air to signal that it will be on the line in tonight’s match! The fans cheer as all four competitors look up at the belt, before it is passed to the outside of the ring.

The referee calls for the bell to be rung, and the action is quickly underway as the four man split off into two pairs, with Money Malone going straight after Kyle McRae whilst Jacob Izaz and Williams pair off.

Williams and Izaz trade big right hands in the middle of the ring, whilst Malone takes down Kyle McRae with a double leg takedown and begins to pound on him with some mounted punches. McRae manages to fight his way up to a standing position before ducking under an attempted clothesline from the Champion and turning to hit a Japanese Arm Drag. The crowd pop for the big move as McRae follows up with an Arm Wrench Takedown.

Izaz gets the better of the punching exchange between himself and Kenneth D Williams, but as he tries to shoot Williams into the ropes, ‘The Human Highlight Reel’ reverses the irish whip! Izaz bounces back into the middle of the ring, but as he does Williams leap frogs over his opponent causing Izaz to hit the ropes again. Izaz bounces to the middle of the ring and Williams takes him down with an impressive monkey flip.

Kyle McRae pulls Money Malone up to his feet and tries to position him for a suplex, but Malone fights out with some stiff right hands to the midsection, followed up with a jumping knee strike on the young Scotsman. Izaz looks to hit ‘the Message’ on Money Malone, but the Champion ducks out of the way of the superkick, before landing a swinging neckbreaker on the ‘Philly Flash’! The fans boo for the move as Malone pulls Izaz up to his feet and lands a Fireman carry gut buster to follow up, before locking in the ‘Money Maker’ submission hold!

The fans boo loudly as Izaz tries to resist the urge to tap out to the pain of the submission hold, as Malone pulls back harder to try and retain his title belt! However just as it looks like Izaz is about to tap, McRae manages to get back into the ring and break up the submission with a swift kick to the head of the champion!

The fans cheer as Malone gets back up to his feet, only for McRae to land a Standing Uranage to a standing moonsault! However the Champion has enough presence of mind to roll out of the ring in order to stop his opponent from being able to pin him! The fans boo loudly as Kyle McRae looks on in horror at Malone rolling to the outside of the ring! McRae gets up to his feet, but before he has the chance to go after the Champion, he is grabbed from behind by Kenneth D Williams who spins him around and lands the ‘Lights Out!’ The fans pop for the move, but Williams isn’t done yet as he quickly bounces into the ropes before landing the ‘HiiPower’!

Acting like the superstar he thinks he is, Anthony Moretti raises both hands in the air, however receives nothing but boos from the fans.

After a few seconds the impressive ‘the Dark Horse’ Curtis Knight slowly walks out onto the top of the entrance ramp, before raising one arm in the air. Pyro shoots into the air either side of Knight at the same time his arm shoots into the air, before he slowly walks down the entrance ramp. Knight climbs into the ring before posing for the fans one last time as the music fades out.

The fans boo louder and louder as Moretti joins in the attack to make it four on one, until there is a pop as ‘There And Back’ by Daughtry hits the sound system and down the entrance ramp rushes Athena with a steel chair! The fans pop as Moretti sends the Von Drake’s out to meet Athena on the entrance ramp, but she catches both of them with kicks to the midsection before bouncing the steel chair off of their skulls!

Barone stands in the middle of the ring waiting for Athena to meet him with the chair, but as he does Knight rises up to his feet behind the back of the big man! The fans pop as Knight spins Barone around, before nailing him with a chokeslam in the middle of the ring!

Barone rolls out of the ring in pain and is met with Athena who begins to nail him with right hands, but as Knight admires his handiwork he is attacked from behind by Anthony Moretti!

With Moretti and Knight the only two left in the ring, the referee takes the opportunity to call for the bell to be rung and the action to officially get started, as security begins to stream down the entrance ramp to escort Blood Money and Athena to the back.

The fans boo as Moretti continues his attack from behind on Curtis Knight, stomping away on his opponent to keep him down on the mat. The fans try to help Knight rally, but Moretti pulls the big man up to his feet and sends him hard into the corner of the ring. Moretti follows up with some big body shots in the corner of the ring, before allowing him out of the corner. Moretti dances around in front of Knight, as Knight looks for a big right hook, only for Moretti to duck the arm of his opponent and take him down with an impressive side suplex.

The fans pop loudly as Knight roars in the middle of the ring, whilst waiting for his opponent to get to his feet! Moretti slowly rises up, but as he does Knight runs through him and lands a massive lariat to send him down to the mat! With Moretti down and possibly KO’ed, Knight makes the cover!

One,

Two,

No!

Before the referee can count the three, Knight pulls Moretti up off of the mat and shakes his head, signaling that he isn’t done with Moretti yet! The crowd cheer as a sick smile spreads across the face of Curtis Knight, as he pulls Anthony Moretti up to a standing position! Moretti looks unsteady on his feet, as Knight taunts the former sVo Champion, before nailing him with a kick to the midsection. Moretti doubles over in pain, and Curtis Knight grabs hold of Moretti before hitting a massive powerbomb!

Moretti looks down and out in the middle of the ring, and the fans rise to their feet as Knight signals for his finishing move! Moretti slowly begins to stagger up to a standing position, as Curtis Knight stalks him from behind! Knight suddenly grabs hold of Knight and tries to lock in the ‘Dragon tamer’, but as he does Moretti reverse kicks Knight with a low blow!

The crowd boo loudly, but seemingly the referee didn’t see the low blow as Knight staggers backwards! Moretti seizes his chance as he lands the ‘Hitman’ on Knight in the middle of the ring, before crawling over his opponent to make the cover!

One,

Two,

Thr..

No!

To the shock of everyone, Knight manages to kick out! Moretti can’t believe it and there is a massive pop from the crowd as the referee holds two fingers up in the air to signal the count and that this match is set to continue! Moretti slowly staggers up to his feet and complains to the referee, as Curtis Knight pulls himself up using the ring ropes.

Knight throws a desperate right hook as Moretti, but Moretti ducks under the right hand of his opponent again, before nailing the ‘Hitman’ for the second time! The boos continue to ring out around the arena as Moretti crawls once again over Knight and hooks the leg.

One,

It’s all over and boos ring out around the arena as Anthony Moretti shockingly gets the pinfall! Moretti struggles up to his feet and struggles to have his arm raised in the air in victory by the referee! Moretti struggles to get out of the ring as he celebrates the victory, whilst the boos continue to fill the arena!

The sVo Presents Showdown #118
9th January 2022
Goodfellas Casino Arena, Las Vegas NV

Ringside
Settling Scores

The familiar riff of AC/DC’s Thunderstruck fills the arena. As the pyro goes off on the entranceway Gunner Lang explodes onto the entrance ramp shooting off his own pyro from a gun while the sVo Tron shows Gunner and a band playing his entrance music. The fans are on their feet cheering and shout ‘Gunner’ along with the song. Gunner drops the pyro gun and runs down to the ring slapping hands with the fans and giving devil horns. He slides into the ring under the bottom rope and proceeds to take off his shirt and bandanna throwing them into the crowd.

The crowd are still on their feet for the unexpected appearance from the former sVo Las Vegas Champion, as Gunner Lang calls to Natasha Ortiz on the outside of the ring for a microphone. The ring announcer passes the live mic to Gunner, and he waits for the crowd to quieten down before addressing them.

Gunner Lang: “People of Las Vegas, here we are, another PPV… the first PPV in fact since I was screwed out of the sVo Championship…..”

The fans boo loudly as clips from ‘Vendetta 2021’ are shown on the giant screen where JD James refused to count the three count for Gunner Lang in the main event against Johnny All Star.

Gunner Lang: “That’s right, I didn’t expect anything less of Johnny All Star, we all know now what type of man he is…. Who I did expect more of was JD James, the man I thought was my oldest friend in the industry.”

More boos from the crowd, this time directed at the mention of JD James.

Gunner Lang: “Well we are about to head into a new year, and I can’t let this fester any longer. JD James, time for you to get out here now so I can give you the ass kicking that you have coming your way! No more ducking me, let’s do this!”

The fans cheer loudly as Gunner Lang tosses the microphone to the side and adopts a fighting pose, whilst staring up at the entrance ramp for his old friend and mentor to accept his challenge.

After around twenty seconds of waiting, the boos grow even louder as JD James himself steps out onto the top of the entrance ramp in a nice suit, holding a microphone. James is shaking his head as he stands at the top of the rampway with no entrance music or fan fare.

JD James: “Gunner… Gunner…. What is all this about huh? Can we not just let bygones by bygones? It is Christmas after all! I am prepared to forget about this whole thing!”

The crowd boo loudly, but it definitely doesn’t look like Gunner Lang is interested in forgetting anything as he stays in his fighting pose and shakes his head! Lang shouts at JD James again to get in the ring and fight him!

JD James: “Ok Gunner, I got to say I am disappointed. It seems you really do want to fight…. Just don’t say I didn’t warn you old friend….”

James slowly starts walking down the entrance ramp, pulling his suit sleeves up as if he is ready to get in and fight Lang! However, JD James stops just short of climbing into the ring and smiles at Lang, just as the crowd boo loudly at the sight of a third figure jumping out of the crowd and sliding into the ring behind the former Las Vegas Champion.

JD James: “Gunner, from one old friend to another, meet Bronson Johnson!”

Lang spins around looking confused, and he is met with a stiff lariat from Bronson Johnson that almost takes his head off! JD James watches from the outside of the ring as Johnson stomps away on Gunner Lang, before finally allowing him to get to his feet. Lang looks dazed as Johnson hits the ropes before landing another big clothesline on the fan favorite!

The fans boo loudly as Gunner Lang lays on the mat motionless as Bronson Johnson climbs out of the ring and shakes hands with JD James at the bottom of the entrance ramp! The scene fades out as medics rush down to the ring to check on Gunner.

‘Viva Las Vegas’ by Metal Elvis hits the sound system and the crowd pop as the ‘Welcome to Las Vegas’ sign appears on the giant screen and pyros shoot up from both sides of the entrance ramp. After a few seconds the man himself, Johnny All-Star steps out onto the top of the entrance ramp wearing a white All Star shirt and black jeans. All-Star makes his way through the pyros down towards the ring. All-Star salutes to the fans that cheer his name as he climbs into the ring and jumps to the second rope of the nearest turnbuckle. All-Star throws his arms in the air and gets even more cheers from his hometown fans.

The lights suddenly dim and the Goodfellas Casino Arena erupts as the drum solo and electric guitar riffs of “Robot Rock” by Daft Punk hits the sound system. Smoke fills the entrance ramp while pink, purple and gold lights flash in the arena. “The Hollywood Rockstar” Cody Williams steps out onto the ramp wearing black jeans and a white Hollywood Rockstar shirt to a huge ovation as he looks out into the crowd. He tips his sunglasses down the bridge of his nose and opens up his studded and spiked leather jacket to reveal the sVo Championship while pyro and fireworks shoot off from the stage. Still battered and bruised from the last three weeks of attacks from All Star, he gingerly climbs into the ring, stands on the second rope in the corner and lifts the sVo Championship into the air as the camera gets a wide panoramic shot of him and the raucous crowd.

Ring Announcer: “Introducing first, the challenger. He stands six feet tall and weighs in tonight at two hundred and twenty pounds… He is a former International champion, and former sVo World Champion…. JOOOHHNNYYYY ALLLLLL STAAARRRRRR!!!”

All Star steps towards the center of the ring and raises his arm into the air to a 50/50 split reaction from the crowd.

Ring Announcer: “And his opponent, he stands at six feet one inches tall, and weighs in tonight at two hundred and ten pounds… He is a former Tapout champion, a former Tag Team champion, a two-time International champion, winner of Organized Chaos, a Triple Crown winner, and Grand Slam champion… He is your sVo World Champion… ‘The Hollywood Rockstar’… COOOOODYYYYY WILLLLLLIAAAAAAMMSSSSS!!!”

Cody turns towards the crowd and raises the sVo championship into the air before handing it to senior official Nick Jaxx. Jaxx raises the championship into the air, signifying this is a championship match. He signals for the bell and this match for the sVo Championship is underway!

***DING***

***DING***

***DING***

It’s Cody Williams defending the sVo Championship against former champion Johnny All Star. This is the first time the two have gone one-on-one since their encounter at Vendetta when Cody Williams made his illustrious return and dethroned All Star.

The two of them stand unmoved as All Star starts mouthing off to Cody. All Star steps towards the center of the ring, continuing his tirade as he makes a belt motion around his waist. Cody has heard enough and rushes towards him and takes him down with a Thesz Press. He starts wailing on the former champ with hard rights and forearms to the side of the head. All Star rolls over and is now in the dominant position and begins raining down with hammerfists to the bandaged forehead of Cody Williams. They two of them continue to quarrel and roll around before they roll to the outside, separating the two.

They both scramble onto their feet and stare at each other before looking at the weapons of destruction surrounding them. They rush to the nearest weapon and Cody makes out with a kendo stick and All Star has a steel chair in hand. All Star lifts the chair above his head and goes to take Cody’s head off with it, but Cody swings the kendo stick crushing All Star’s hands in the process. He drops the chair to the ground and clutches at his hands in pain. Cody doesn’t give him any time or space to recover and starts swinging the kendo stick against his body.

***THWACK***

***THWACK***

***THWACK***

All Star tries to crawl back into the ring but gets several shots to the back for his troubles. He leans against the corner post and puts his hands up pleading with Cody. Cody swings for the fences but All Star ducks and the kendo stick snaps in half against the post. He turns around and All Star tosses a steel chair that collides with Cody’s forehead. All Star picks it back up, lifts it high into the air and cracks him in the skull with it, a loud, sickening sound of metal colliding with the human skull echoing throughout the arena. Cody attempts to lift his head up off the ground but drops back down. His bandage has come off and his face is covered in blood. All Star smirks and raises the chair up, staring at the blood stain on it as the crowd boos.

He tosses the chair to the ground and looks around him to see what kind of pain he wants to inflict next. He grabs Cody by his hair and lifts him up by the face with the other. He grabs a garbage can and crushes it over the head of Cody, dropping him to his knees. He stands the can up right and pulls the champion up to a vertical base. Cody breaks free and starts peppering All Star with hard forearm shots. All Star breaks it up with a hard knee to the injured ribs of Cody. He hooks his head and arm and suplexes him right on top of the garbage can, flattening it in the process.

All Star crawls over the the ring and peeks underneath the apron. He reaches and he pulls out FLUORESCENT LIGHT TUBES?!?! The crowd lets out a collective gasp as All Star tosses a couple bundles of light tubes into the ring. He turns his attention to Cody who has somehow managed to get himself up onto his feet. All Star looks out into the crowd and then back at Cody with a smirk. He raises his left hand at Cody and gives him the middle finger. Cody responds with a pair of middle fingers of his own. This infuriates All Star, his eyes widened and his breathing heavy.

***SMAAAAAAASSSSHHHH***

LIGHT TUBE BUNDLE TO THE HEAD OF CODY!!!

THE TUBES EXPLODING ON IMPACT!!! THE RINGSIDE AREA IS FULL OF A WHITE, HAZY, DUST!!!

All Star leans against the ring apron, his eyes wide as he stares down at the sVo champion who is on his knees, blood dripping everywhere. His face is a bloody mess and his shirt is stained a crimson red.

***SMAAAAAAASSSSHHHH***

ANOTHER BUNDLE OF LIGHT TUBES TO THE HEAD OF CODY DROPS HIM TO THE FLOOR!!!

All Star is a man possessed! He reaches under the ring and the crowd stands on their feet in anticipation of the carnage and violence they are about to witness. All Star reappears and pulls out…

A BARBED WIRE WRAPPED TABLE!!!

***S-V-O***

***S-V-O***

***S-V-O***

The crowd becomes rabid as All Star sets the folding table up at ringside. He has a bottle of lighter fluid in hand and opens it up. He slowly raises it into the air for everyone to see before he begins dousing the table with the fire-inducing liquid. He covers the entire table with lighter fluid, not leaving an inch untouched.

He turns around to see Cody pulling himself up using the guardrail. He snatches him by the hair and gets into his face talking trash to him as he playfully smacks him in the face. Cody delivers a headbut out of desperation that stuns the challenger. He starts going on the offense – forearm, chop, forearm, chop. He hops onto the apron, having caught his second wind and awaits for All Star to get onto his feet. He gets a running start – but no! All Star sweeps his legs out from under him and he lands face first onto the ring apron leaving a bloody stain on the canvas.

All Star shakes off the cobwebs and then starts digging into his pocket. He reaches in and pulls out a matchbook. He lights single match and raises it for everyone to see, but he’s not done. He uses it to light the entire matchbook and drops it onto the table at ringside. The crowd roars as he hops onto the ring apron and stares down at the fiery destruction awaiting to happen. He kicks Cody in the gut and places him between his legs –

POWERBOMB THROUGH THE FLAMING BARBED WIRE TABLE!!!

NO! COUNTERED!

Cody escapes and kicks him between the legs! He hoists him up –

***CRRRRAAAAAASSSSHHHH***

RELEASE BLUE THUNDER BOMB!!! ALL STAR GOES THROUGH THE FLAMING TABLE!!!

ALL STAR IS ROLLING AROUND SCREAMING IN PAIN!!!

HE’S ON FIRE!!!

***HOLY S***

***HOLY S***

***HOLY S***

Ringside assistants rush to All Star and start blasting him with fire extinguishers to put out the flames on his clothes. Cody slumps, hanging onto the ropes as he watches all of this unfold. All Star is face down and his clothing is a burnt mess, the fire burned through his shirt and you could see his skin bubbling and oozing.

Cody falls to the floor in exhaustion and attempts to catch his breath. He looks over at All Star who is still laying motionless. Cody reaches under the ring and retrieves several folding chairs and tosses them into the ring. He disappears under the ring again and when he comes back out he pulls out a FLUORESCENT LIGHT TUBE CABIN!!! The crowd comes unglued and erupts at the violence the two of these sVo superstars are putting themselves through for their entertainment.  He slides the contraption into the ring and turns his attention to All Star.

He peels him off of the ground and rolls him into the ring. He follows behind him and finds All Star on his knees, hands pressed against each other, begging and pleading with Cody. Cody looks out into the crowd who tell him not to listen to All Star’s request. He delivers a superkick that connects flush on the jaw of All Star, echoing throughout the Goodfellas Casino Arena.

***SMAAAAAAASSSSHHHH***

He breaks a light tube bundle over the head of All Star and immediately his forehead starts to gush blood, covering his face and clothing. Cody grabs the light tube cabin contraption and stands it up carefully in the corner and slowly turns his head back to All Star whos is on all fours dripping blood onto the canvas. He tosses him into the opposite corner and grabs ahold of his wrist, pausing for a moment to look out into the raucous crowd.

IRISH WHIP INTO THE LIGHT TUBES!!!

NO!

REVERSED!

Cody stops in his tracks mere inches away from the light tubes. All Star rushes at Cody as he turns around but Cody sees him coming –

HIP TOSS INTO THE LIGHT TUBES!

NO!

REVERSED AGAIN!

***SMAAAAAAASSSSHHHH***

ALL STAR SENDS CODY CRASHING INTO THE LIGHT TUBE CABIN IN THE CORNER!!!

THE LIGHT TUBES ARE COMPLETELY OBLITERATED AND FLYING EVERYWHERE AS CODY WRITHES IN PAIN ON THE CANVAS!!!

HIS BACK IS A BLOODY MESS, SEEPING THROUGH HIS WHITE SHIRT AND COVERED IN SHARDS OF FLUORESCENT LIGHT TUBES!!!

***HOLY S***

***HOLY S***

***HOLY S***

With Cody lifeless in the corner, All Star drops to the mat and rolls to the outside. There’s blood everywhere: the ring ropes, on the ring canvas, on the outside floor, and on his and Cody’s clothing. He goes underneath the ring and reaches underneath, revealing a velvet bag and a bundle of barbed wire! He tosses both of them into the ring and rolls back in. He kicks the bag to the side and slowly follows behind Cody who crawls to the ropes and uses the second to hold himself up. All Star speed walks towards him –

HE USES THE BARBED WIRE TO GRATE HIS FOREHEAD!

BLOOD IS FLOWING LIKE WATER DOWN THE CHAMPION’S FACE!

He then takes the barbed wire and wraps it around Cody’s arm, tightening it with every wrap. He kicks the second rope causing the barbs to sink deeper into the pierced flesh of Cody Williams. He scurries on his knees to the center of the ring, clutching at his arm. All Star grabs Cody by the hair and plants him face first into the canvas. He raises his arm into the air to the dismay from the crowd and then starts stomping at the barbed wire wrapped arm of Cody.

The sVo champion clutches at his now blood soaked arm as All Star grabs him by the hair and slowly picks him up. He starts berating and shouting expletives at Cody who has had enough. He hits him with a clubbing forearm to the chest. All Star shrieks in pain but has no time to breathe as Cody starts hitting him with forearm shots, each one piercing the face of the challenger. Cody lifts his arm into the air and lets out a primal roar as he flexes it. He hits the ropes with a full head of steam –

BIG IN JAPAN!!!

HIGH IMPACT RUNNING LARIAT!!!

HE TURNS ALL STAR INSIDE OUT AND DUMPS HIM RIGHT ON TOP OF HIS HEAD!!!

Cody gets up onto his hands and knees and slowly but carefully starts to unwrap the barbed wire from his arm. The crowd lets out audible groans and gasps as some of the barbs tug at his skin as they are pulled out. He pulls himself up with the ropes and starts collecting all of the chairs in the ring.

What does he have in mind?

He starts placing them facing each other, making some sort of make shift table looking apparatus. He then starts stacking chairs at random, with it now looking like a mountain or pyramid of chairs. He picks All Star up and irish whips him into the corner. He follows closely behind and decks him with a flying forearm flush on the jaw. He lifts him up and places him on the top turnbuckle and begins climbing the ropes. He hooks All Star’s arm and waist band and looks to go for a superplex onto the mountainous construction of chairs that away below!

BLOCKED!

All Star starts wailing at him with rights and lefts that daze Cody. They both stand atop perched the top rope. All Star hooks Cody’s arm and leg and lifts him high into the air –

FISHERMAN’S BUSTER!!!

ALL STAR SENDS CODY CRASHING THROUGH THE CHAIR SET UP!!!

CHAIRS FLYING EVERYWHERE!!!

The crowd jumps out of their seats and give the two competitors in a huge standing ovation as they lay motionless on the canvas.

***THIS IS AWESOME***

(clap, clap, clap clap clap)

***THIS IS AWESOME***

(clap, clap, clap clap clap)

All Star is the first to move as he starts crawling around the ring looking for something. His eyes zero in on the velvet bag that Cody brought into the ring and he slithers towards it. He grabs hold of it and stumbles around the ring a bit as he tries to regain his wits about him. He slowly unties the bag and holds it in the air, causing a moment of anticipation before dumping its contents out onto the mat.

THUMBTACKS!!!

HUNDREDS OF THUMBTACKS COME POURING OUT OF THE BAG!!!

He tosses the bag into the crowd and meets Cody in the center of the ring. The two of them lean forward in exhaustion, pressing their bloody foreheads against each other. All Star is the first to strike with a forearm to the side of the head. Cody responds with one of his one. They trade several forearm shots in the center of the ring.

***BOO!***

***YEAH!***

***BOO!***

***YEAH!***

They pause for a second, both on wobbly legs.

NOW THEY START TEEING OFF WITH RAPID FIRE FOREARM SHOTS!!!

Cody with a rolling elbow sends All Star reeling into the ropes. He comes back and hits Cody with a rolling elbow of his own. Cody now is the one stumbling backwards into the ropes. He comes bouncing back –

They pick Cody up and set up for a quadruple powerbomb! Cody starts to fight back, nailing several punches to the head of Barone. He flips over and sends Barone flying through the ropes with a hurricanrana! The other three are on the attack now but Cody side steps and Moretti topples over the top rope. JVD charges at him but he quickly tosses him to the outside. Money Malone chases after Cody but gets a back drop over the top rope for his troubles that sends him flying into the three below.

Cody looks at All Star still knocked out on the mat. He then looks out at Blood Money at ringside getting onto their feet. He then turns his attention to the crowd and starts nodding his head slowly. He hits the ropes and comes running back across the ring, he leaps into the air and clears the ropes, and wipes out the entire ensemble of Blood Money.

TWISTING CORKSCREW TOPE SUICIDA!!!

He throws his arms into the air to the cheers of the jam-packed Goodfellas Casino Arena. He slides back into the ring and peels All Star off of the mat. Suddenly he comes back to life and hits Cody with a hard kick to the midsection.

The crowd is on their feet, not a single person is sitting down. Quickly their attention turns from the two men laying in the ring in exhaustion to the ramp.

It’s Jon Page!

He stops at the bottom of the ramp and surveys the destruction at ringside. He places his hands on his head and shakes his head. He looks into the ring and sees both men still unmoved. He looks down at the ringside floor where Blood Money are still laid out. He looks around unsure about something and hesitates. He bends down and picks up a metal folding chair and starts climbing up the ring steps. He climbs into the ring and stands in the corner as All Star starts to get to his feet. Page thinks about it for a second and then nods his head.

Final Curtain

‘Viva Las Vegas’ hits the sound system as Jaxx hands the the sVo Championship to a bloody Johnny All Star. He stumbles through the ropes and collapses to the arena floor where he is met by the members of Blood Money. They help him onto his feet and assist him up the ramp.

Fans start throwing trash, debris, and drink cups at All Star and Blood Money as they make their way to the top of the ramp.

Jon Page stands at the bottom of the ramp with his head hung low and shakes his head mouthing the words: ‘I’m sorry’ to Cody who is still out in the ring.

All Star continues the celebration at the top of the ramp with his counterparts to the dismay of the crowd in attendance. He slowly waves goodbye to Cody as he cackles with Blood Money after getting the huge victory over ‘The Hollywood Rockstar’. He raises the sVo Championship into the air and gives the bird to everyone in attendance before disappearing to the back.

The music cuts out and Cody is seen pulling himself up onto his feet. He starts to limp around the ring nodding his head and shrugging to the crowd. The crowd stands on their feet and gives him a standing ovation for his efforts.

***THANK YOU CODY***

(clap, clap, clap clap clap)

***THANK YOU CODY***

(clap, clap, clap clap clap)

He stops in the center of the ring with his hands on his waist as he looks out into the crowd. His eyes start to well up as he hangs his head down low.

The crowd continues to shower him in cheers and adulation as he drops to his knees. He leans forward and kisses the ring canvas and stays there looking out into the crowd.

‘The Hollywood Rockstar’ climbs onto his feet and raises his arm into the air to wave to the crowd and thanking them. He takes a slow bow and then salutes each side of the building with a bow.

Cody Williams exits the ring and slowly starts to make his way up the ramp, stopping every so often to acknowledge the crowd and blow them kisses. On the way he slaps hands with the fans against the barricade until he makes his way to the top of the ramp.

He turns to face the crowd one more time and mouths: ‘Thank you. Thank you.’ He takes one final bow for the crowd and closes his eyes as the tears start to flow freely now. He manages to gather himself and raises his arm into the air one more time for those in attendance as the sVo copyright logo appears on the bottom of the screen, with the shot slowly fading to black.
