DW Clash 37
The Stratford Arena, London, England
22nd July 2024

The camera pans over a packed Stratford Arena in London, where the enthusiastic crowd is buzzing with excitement. The arena is illuminated with vibrant lights, and the energy is palpable as fans wave their signs and cheer loudly. The familiar theme music of DW Clash blares through the speakers, signaling the start of another thrilling night of wrestling action.

Steve Pringle: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to DW Clash 37, live from the iconic Stratford Arena in London! I’m Steve Pringle, and joining me as always is the incomparable Eddie Bates!

Eddie Bates: Thank you, Steve! The atmosphere here tonight is electric, and we’ve got an action-packed card lined up for you. After the chaos of last week’s main event, who knows what’s going to happen tonight!

Steve Pringle: That’s right, Eddie. Last week, we saw Angelo Anderson and Bjorn Asulf emerge victorious in their tag team match against British Hospitality, only for Cedric Thornfield to storm the ring and attack Asulf. It was absolute mayhem, and it’s clear that tensions are at an all-time high as we head towards the Original Sinners PPV.

Eddie Bates: And let’s not forget the DW UK Champion, ‘the Essex Pretty Boy’ Oliver Harrington, who still seems to be in denial about facing Jonathan Sullivan at Original Sinners. What will Harrington have to say tonight after Sullivan’s dominant win last week?

Steve Pringle: It’s going to be an incredible night, Eddie. The stakes are higher than ever, and every match counts as we march towards Original Sinners. So, sit back, relax, and get ready for an unforgettable night of action here on DW Clash!

The camera cuts to a wide shot of the roaring crowd as the opening match preparations begin, and the excitement continues to build for another thrilling edition of DW Clash.

Leading by Example

Backstage at the Stratford Arena, the camera cuts to a dimly lit locker room adorned with French flags and symbols, indicating it belongs to Legion. Jean Louis Duval, HyperNova, and Royce Lacroix are gathered, with Duval pacing back and forth, visibly frustrated.

Jean Louis Duval: (agitated, with a heavy French accent) Mes amis, last week was an embarrassment. The Ultras made fools of us, and that is unacceptable! We are Legion! We do not lose to the likes of them!

HyperNova and Royce Lacroix exchange glances, both looking a bit chastised and disappointed.

Jean Louis Duval: (pointing a finger at HyperNova and Royce Lacroix) You two… you had the chance to show everyone why the French are superior, why we are the elite force in DW, and you failed. You let those German brutes walk all over you!

Royce Lacroix clenches his fists, his jaw tightening, while HyperNova looks down, clearly upset with himself.

Jean Louis Duval: (taking a deep breath, trying to calm himself) But tonight… tonight, I will show you how it’s done. I will step into that ring in the main event, and I will show you what victory looks like. Watch closely, learn, and understand that we cannot afford to lose again. We must rise above and reclaim our dominance.

HyperNova and Royce Lacroix nod in agreement, their expressions determined now as Duval’s words sink in.

Jean Louis Duval: (smirking, his confidence returning) Remember, mes amis, we are Legion. We are unstoppable. And tonight, I will prove it. Follow my lead, and soon, we will stand atop DW as the undisputed champions.

The camera zooms in on Duval’s face, his eyes filled with intensity and resolve, before cutting back to the arena, where the anticipation for the night’s events continues to build.

Time Up

The scene shifts to the backstage interview area where William Smith stands with a microphone in hand. Next to him is the imposing figure of Angelo Anderson, looking as menacing as ever. The crowd can be heard murmuring in anticipation through the walls of the arena.

William Smith: Ladies and gentlemen, I’m here with Angelo Anderson. Angelo, you’ve had quite the rivalry with Kyle McRae lately. Can you tell us more about that?

Angelo Anderson: (sneering) Rivalry, William? That’s a bit generous, don’t you think? Kyle McRae has been a thorn in my side ever since he cost me my shot at the DW Heavyweight Championship. He’s a pest, a nuisance, and I’m sick of it.

William Smith: Many would say that McRae has been a formidable opponent, giving you quite a challenge in the ring. What are your thoughts on that?

Angelo Anderson: (scoffing) A challenge? Please. McRae has been nothing but lucky. He’s riding on the coattails of British Hospitality, thinking he’s on my level. But let’s get one thing straight, William: he’s not. I’m in a league of my own.

William Smith: With the intensity of your encounters, where do you see this heading? What’s next for you and Kyle McRae?

Angelo Anderson: (leaning in, eyes narrowing) You want to know what’s next? I’ll tell you what’s next. Original Sinners. I’m officially challenging Kyle McRae to a match at the PPV. If he has the guts, that is.

William Smith: An official challenge! Do you think McRae will accept?

Angelo Anderson: (smirking) He better. Because if he doesn’t, I’ll hunt him down until he does. McRae has nowhere to hide. It’s time he faces me one-on-one and learns his place in this business. At Original Sinners, I’ll show everyone why I’m the most dominant force in DW.

William Smith: There you have it, folks. Angelo Anderson has laid down the gauntlet for Kyle McRae at Original Sinners. Will McRae accept the challenge? We’ll have to wait and see. Angelo, thank you for your time.

Angelo Anderson: (grinning wickedly) My pleasure, William. Get ready, McRae. Your time is up.

The camera lingers on Anderson’s menacing expression before fading out, leaving the audience buzzing with anticipation for the potential clash at the Original Sinners PPV.

Take the Night Off

The scene opens inside the office of DW General Manager Matt Anarchy. The office is adorned with wrestling memorabilia, championship belts, and posters of past DW events. Matt Anarchy sits behind a large wooden desk, his expression stern. Standing in front of the desk is the DW Heavyweight Champion, Cedric Thornfield, with his championship belt draped over his shoulder.

Matt Anarchy: (voice firm and authoritative) Cedric, I want to make it very clear how I feel about your actions last week. You had no business getting involved in the main event.

Thornfield smirks, adjusting the title on his shoulder, clearly unbothered by the GM’s reprimand.

Cedric Thornfield: (mockingly) Oh, come on, Matt. You know as well as I do that Bjorn Asulf needed a reality check. I was just giving the fans what they wanted – a preview of what’s to come.

Matt Anarchy: (slamming his hand on the desk) Enough, Cedric! This isn’t about what you think the fans want. This is about maintaining order and fairness in DW. You crossed the line, and there will be consequences.

Thornfield’s smirk fades slightly as he senses the seriousness in Anarchy’s tone.

Matt Anarchy: Tonight, you’re out of here. I don’t want to see you causing any more trouble. You need to cool off and remember that you’re the DW Heavyweight Champion. Start acting like it.

Cedric Thornfield: (scowling now) You can’t be serious. You’re really going to kick your champion out of the arena?

Matt Anarchy: (leaning forward, eyes narrowing) Dead serious. Pack your things and leave. You’re suspended for the rest of the night. And if you have any objections, we can add more matches to your schedule before “Original Sinners.”

Thornfield stares at Anarchy, a mix of anger and disbelief on his face. He turns and walks towards the door, pausing to look back.

Cedric Thornfield: (coldly) This isn’t over, Anarchy. Not by a long shot.

Thornfield exits the office, slamming the door behind him. Anarchy sighs, leaning back in his chair, the weight of maintaining order in DW evident on his face. The camera focuses on Anarchy for a moment before cutting back to the arena, where the fans are buzzing with anticipation for the night’s matches.

The Ultras Await

The scene transitions to the backstage area where Ben Noble and Kandi Sparks, the reigning DW UK Tag Team Champions, are standing in their locker room. The atmosphere is tense as they discuss their upcoming title defense at the Original Sinners PPV.

Ben Noble: (adjusting his championship belt over his shoulder) So, it’s official. We’re up against the Ultras at Original Sinners.

Kandi Sparks: (sighing and nodding) Yeah, and after their sneak attack on British Hospitality and the chaos they’ve caused, it’s clear they’re not messing around.

Ben Noble: (frowning) Those guys are brutal. Axel Schmidt and Jürgen Köhler are no joke. We’ve seen what they can do, and they’re ruthless.

Kandi Sparks: (determined) We’ve faced tough opponents before, Ben. We didn’t get these belts by backing down from a fight.

Ben Noble: (nodding) True, but the Ultras are different. They’re not just about winning; they want to hurt people. We need to be ready for anything.

Kandi Sparks: (smirking slightly) Then we’ll just have to show them why we’re the champions. We’ve got the skill, the strategy, and the heart. They might be strong, but we’ve got something they don’t: unity and experience as a team.

Ben Noble: (smiling confidently) You’re right. We’ve been through a lot together, and we’ve always come out on top. We need to be smart, stick to our game plan, and not let them intimidate us.

Kandi Sparks: (clenching her fist) Exactly. We’ve got this. At Original Sinners, we’ll show everyone why we’re the best tag team in DW. The Ultras think they can bully their way to the top, but they’ve never faced a team like us.

Ben Noble: (extending his hand for a fist bump) Let’s do this, Kandi. For us, and for all the fans who believe in us.

Kandi Sparks: (returning the fist bump) For us, and for them. The Ultras are in for a rude awakening.

The camera zooms in on their determined faces as they prepare for the biggest challenge of their title reign, the scene then transitions back to the arena, leaving the audience eagerly anticipating the showdown at the Original Sinners PPV.

Not Tonight

The scene transitions to the backstage area, where DW interviewer William Smith stands with a microphone in hand. Beside him is the imposing figure of ‘the Viking’ Bjorn Asulf, his face set in a serious expression.

William Smith: Ladies and gentlemen, I’m here with ‘the Viking’ Bjorn Asulf. Bjorn, earlier tonight, we saw DW GM Matt Anarchy order Cedric Thornfield out of the arena for his actions last week. What are your thoughts on this development?

Asulf glares at the camera, his eyes burning with intensity.

Bjorn Asulf: (growling) Thornfield’s actions last week were a disgrace. But if Anarchy has decided to kick him out of the arena tonight, then I have to question the point of my own presence here.

William Smith: (looking surprised) What do you mean by that, Bjorn?

Bjorn Asulf: (crossing his arms) My sole focus is on that championship. If the champion himself is not here tonight, then there is no point in me being here either. I came to DW to conquer and claim what is rightfully mine, but if Thornfield isn’t around, there’s no battle to be fought.

William Smith: But Bjorn, you still have matches and rivalries here. Surely, you wouldn’t leave just because Thornfield isn’t here for one night?

Bjorn Asulf: (snarling) The only match I care about is the one for the DW Heavyweight Championship. Thornfield is my target. If he’s not in the building, then tonight is meaningless. I’ll save my energy for when it truly matters, when I can get my hands on him and take that title.

Asulf looks directly into the camera, his message clear and unyielding.

Bjorn Asulf: Thornfield, enjoy your night off. Because the next time we meet, you won’t have anywhere to run. I’ll be waiting, and when the time comes, I will destroy you and take what’s mine. Until then, there’s no point in wasting my time here.

With that, Bjorn Asulf turns and walks away, leaving William Smith and the viewers with a strong sense of anticipation for the inevitable clash between him and Cedric Thornfield.

William Smith: (turning back to the camera) Strong words from ‘the Viking’ Bjorn Asulf. It looks like tensions are only going to escalate as we head towards “Original Sinners.” Stay tuned, folks. The road to the PPV just got a lot more intense.

The camera fades out as the scene shifts back to the action in the arena.

Making it Official

The scene transitions to the backstage interview area, where William Smith stands with the towering figure of Jonathan Sullivan, who looks determined and focused. The buzz of the crowd can still be heard faintly from the arena, amplifying the intensity of the moment.

William Smith: Ladies and gentlemen, I’m here with Jonathan Sullivan. Jonathan, you just witnessed Oliver Harrington defeat Union Jack in a singles match. What are your thoughts on that performance?

Jonathan Sullivan: (nodding thoughtfully) You know, William, I’ve got to give credit where it’s due. Harrington put on a good show out there. But let’s not kid ourselves – Union Jack was never really a threat to him. Harrington’s been coasting, avoiding real competition.

William Smith: You’ve been making waves since your debut, and there’s been a lot of speculation about your intentions. What’s next for you?

Jonathan Sullivan: (smiling confidently) Speculation ends now, William. I’ve been watching Harrington hide behind his ego and his so-called undefeated streak. It’s time someone steps up and gives him a real challenge. That someone is me.

William Smith: That’s a bold statement, Jonathan. Are you saying what I think you’re saying?

Jonathan Sullivan: (locking eyes with the camera) Absolutely. Oliver Harrington, I’m officially cashing in my #1 contendership and challenging you for the DW UK Championship at the Original Sinners PPV on August 5th. It’s time to see if you’re as good as you think you are, or if you’re just another pretty face who can’t handle the pressure.

William Smith: A direct challenge to the reigning champion! Jonathan, do you think Harrington will accept your challenge?

Jonathan Sullivan: He doesn’t have a choice, William. He can’t keep running from real competition. If he wants to prove he’s the best, he’ll step into the ring with me. And when he does, he’ll find out why they call me ‘Five Star Potential.’

William Smith: This is huge! Jonathan Sullivan has officially laid down the gauntlet for Oliver Harrington at Original Sinners. Will the Essex Pretty Boy accept the challenge and put his title on the line?

Jonathan Sullivan: (leaning closer to the camera, intensity radiating from his eyes) Harrington, you’ve got a few weeks to prepare. But no amount of preparation will save you from the beating you’re going to get. See you at Original Sinners.

The camera lingers on Sullivan’s determined expression before fading out, leaving the audience eagerly awaiting Oliver Harrington’s response and the potential clash at the PPV.

Single Match
Jean Louis Duval vs. Maxwell Blackwell

Backstage
Top of the Game

The scene cuts back to the ring, where Jean Louis Duval has just triumphed over Maxwell Blackwell in a hard-fought main event. The fans are booing loudly, expressing their disdain for the arrogant Frenchman. Duval, basking in his victory, grabs a microphone, a smug smile on his face.

Jean Louis Duval: (raising the mic to his lips) Ah, listen to these ungrateful peasants! Boo all you want, but the fact remains – I am the best wrestler in DW. There isn’t a single person in this company who can match my talent, my skill, or my intellect. You all witnessed a masterclass tonight, and you should be honored!

The boos grow even louder as Duval continues to gloat, pacing around the ring with a self-satisfied grin.

Jean Louis Duval: I have proven time and time again that I am the pinnacle of excellence. The so-called competition here is nothing but a joke. I am the future of DW, and there is no one who can stop me. I am untouchable, unbeatable, and undeniable!

Just as Duval is about to continue his tirade, the lights in the arena dim, and the crowd’s boos turn to gasps and cheers of surprise. A familiar theme music hits, and the camera pans to the top of the entrance ramp. There, standing with an intense glare, is none other than Angus Blackhart, the first DW UK Champion, making his shocking return after months of absence.

The crowd erupts in a mix of shock and excitement, chanting “Blackhart! Blackhart!” as the formidable wrestler stares down Duval from the top of the ramp. Duval’s confident expression falters, replaced by a look of genuine surprise and apprehension.

Jean Louis Duval: (lowering the mic, visibly rattled) What… what is this? Blackhart, what are you doing here?

Angus Blackhart slowly starts to walk down the ramp, his eyes never leaving Duval. The tension in the arena is palpable as Blackhart approaches the ring, the crowd on their feet, cheering for the returning fighter.

Angus Blackhart: (no microphone, but his voice booming) Duval, you talk a big game, but let’s see if you can back it up against someone who’s been to the top and knows what it takes to stay there.

Blackhart steps into the ring, standing toe-to-toe with Duval. The Frenchman’s bravado is nowhere to be seen as he stands face-to-face with the returning powerhouse. The crowd’s chants grow louder, creating an electric atmosphere as the two men stare each other down.

Jean Louis Duval: (trying to regain his composure, but his voice betrays his nerves) You think you can just come back and… and challenge me? I’m not afraid of you, Blackhart! This is my ring now!

Angus Blackhart: (smirking) We’ll see about that.

The show ends with the two men locked in a fierce stare-down, the crowd buzzing with anticipation for what’s to come. The tension between the arrogant Duval and the returning Blackhart promises an explosive encounter in the near future, leaving fans eager for the next chapter in DW.

The camera fades to black, the echoes of the crowd’s excitement lingering as the show comes to a dramatic close.
