Biography: A true enigma, not much is known about this man from Kyoto, Japan. He is a man ruled by dreams. A man who discovers his motives week to week.
What is known is that in his late teens he joined the famed KIMURA Dojo in Osaka, Japan where he was trained by the great Akira KIMURA. A dreamer in every sense of the word and a natural athlete with a martial arts background, Night’s array of moves can only be described as innovative and diverse.
His interaction with the world we live in varies from day to day – some days he seems to inhabit another planet all together and others he will be as alert as anyone else. His dreamy nature has often lulled wrestlers into underestimating Night as an opponent.
This certainly seemed to be the case upon his arrival in the sVo in December 2007. However, he shocked many as he claimed the highly contented sVo Hardcore Championship by February 2008 and went on to hold it for close to two months, losing the title at the end of March in a triple threat ‘House of Hell’ match – a record reign for that particular title. Throughout his reign as Hardcore Champion, Night also challenged for the World Championship twice, coming up just short on both occasions.
The effect of these loses seems to have had some effect on Night as they infiltrated his dreams, plaguing his mind. One thing is sure, the two title shots awakened a new desire in Night. The masked man from Kyoto has one goal in mind – claiming the sVo World Championship… no matter the steps needed or the time it takes…
This newfound obsession brought on one unexpected side effect for Night, and, for the first time in his life he found himself unable to sleep. Seeking professional advice, Night was prescribed powerful sleeping pills to counteract this problem, and in the process earned the ire of then International Champion, ‘The Hope’ Isaac White. Although Night unsuccessfully challenged for the International Championship in April 2008 at Vendetta, Night had arguably the biggest night of his career as he went on to defeat Isaac for the title a month later in England at the Redemption PPV and later in the night scored two pinfalls, including the winning pinfall in sVo’s first Organized Chaos match.
One thing is certain, the future certainly looks bright for this promising young enigma from Japan.
