After PWA intro, the entrance video package for sVo Sunday Night Showdown begins, accompanied by the theme song of ‘Showdown’ by Pendulum. Highlights of past action from 2013 to present day are sped up, showing the likes of August Lazar, Bobby Dean, Roscoe Shame, Night, Jay Wildman, Cody Williams & Nathan Paradine! As the video package finally comes to an end with an extended look at the ‘Sunday Night Showdown’ logo, the camera cuts to an exterior shot of the Goodfellas Casino Arena, in the heart of the Las Vegas strip, before cutting to a live shot of inside the arena.

The camera pans around the sold-out crowd, most of them on their feet and screaming loudly whilst trying to get their homemade sign shown in front of the camera. The cameras finally head over to the commentary table, where Julian Fiasco and Jeremiah Sloan welcome the fans watching on the HOTv network on PWA:TV to the broadcast and begin to break down some of the action that will take place on tonight’s show, including a massive main event the #1 contender for the sVo Championship set to be decided in a fatal four way between Night, Bobby Dean, Kenneth D Williams and Johnny Moretti!

Jon Page announced that he was naming his sister Amy Page as the COO of the sVo as he took some time away to focus on the expansion of the wrestling promotion.
Dallas Jordan announced that Patriot Act were looking to challenge for the sVo Tag Team Championships
JD James held a secret conversation with Athena, Darwin Jones and Curtis Knight, before the trio joined James in jumping to Project:Violence last week on Uprising.
Night defeated Kenneth D Williams in a back and forth main event.

RINGSIDE
Loyalty Tested

There are loud boos from the fans to open Showdown as ‘Sympathy for the Devil’ by the Rolling Stones hits the sound system, and the new COO of the sVo, Amy Page, makes her way down the entrance ramp alongside the Roulette Champion Rick Reid! Amy Page scowls at the Las Vegas crowd who are loudly booing her, as Rick Reid holds the ring ropes open and allows her to enter the ring. Page demands the microphone from the ring announcer Natasha Ortiz, before shouting for her music to be cut.

The fans boo loudly as Amy Page stands in the ring and her music fades out, whilst Rick Reid stands menacingly behind her.

Amy Page: “Right, let’s address the elephant in the room straight off the bat!”

More boos from the crowd as soon as Page speaks.

Amy Page: “I am sure you heard that last week on Uprising, we had three sVo wrestlers sign contracts with P:V! These three will remain nameless!”

The fans give a mixed reaction, with Page clearly meaning Darwin Jones, Curtis Knight and Athena who all made the jump from the sVo to P:V last week.

Amy Page: “Now I can’ afford for that snake JD James to be tapping up every wrestler on the roster that he has spoken to before. I know exactly who he will be turning to next, Bronson Johnson, get your ass out here now!”

More boos from the crowd, as all eyes turn to the entrance stage. After a few seconds of waiting, Bronson Johnson wearing jeans and a t-shirt walks out onto the top of the entrance ramp with a microphone in hand.

Amy Page: “Bronson, I will ask you straight up. JD James was your manager here, are you jumping to Project:Violence with him?”

Johnson holds the stare of Amy Page for a few seconds, before raising his microphone to answer.

Bronson Johnson: “No ma’am, I am not.”

There is a mixed reaction from the fans to the news, although Bronson Johnson doesn’t look too thrilled about it himself.

Amy Page: “That’s right, because you are under contract you son of a bitch and I will sue you into next week if you even answer a call from JD James!”

Loud boos from the crowd, as Bronson Johnson stares back down at Amy Page without saying a word.

Amy Page: “Just for the fact that you spoke to that snake, and don’t try and deny it because I know you did! Just for that you need to be taught a lesson tonight, which is lucky because the roulette wheel for Rick Reid’s next opponent has already been spun and guess who it landed on….”

More boos from the crowd, but Bronson Johnson doesn’t look too upset.

Amy Page: “That’s right, you Bronson! You vs Rick Reid tonight for the Roulette Championship, and that will be just a little taste of the beating you will get if you forget again where your bread is buttered!”

Bronson Johnson: “Well ma’am, with all due respect, I prefer to do my talking in the ring. Mr Reid, make sure that belt is nice and polished for when you hand it over to me sir.”

There is a mixed reaction from the crowd, as Bronson Johnson turns his back on Amy Page and Rick Reid and heads to the back, leaving the COO looking angry in the ring as Showdown heads to a commercial break!

Put Me In Coach

The camera heads backstage to the interview pit, where standing in front of the sVo and PWA branded backdrop is Katie Smith with a microphone in hand! The pretty red head is joined by Alissia Young, who is clearly not dressed for battle tonight. Young looks annoyed as she stares a hole through Smith.

Katie Smith: “Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Showdown 148! Now I am here tonight with Alissia Young! Alissia, what do you want to say to the sVo fans?”

Young scoffs as she takes the microphone from a flummoxed Katie Smith.

Alissia Young: “To the sVo fans? I have nothing to say to any of you! To Amy Page, I have this one thing to say, get me in the god damn ring. I don’t care who it is against, I don’t care what type of match it is. Get me back in the god damn ring and let me do what I do best!”

Young throws the microphone down to the crowd and storms away from the interview area, leaving Katie Smith to shrug her shoulders as she looks back at her camera crew.

Rick Reid vs. Bronson Johnson

Must Win

After the big Championship match between Rick Reid and Bronson Johnson, the cameras head backstage to the locker room of Blood Money! The crowd boo loudly at the sight of Tag Team Champions Anthony Moretti & Joe Barone who are sitting alongside Junior Gambino, the youngest member of the group who has clearly been struggling with his place in the group recently.

Anthony Moretti: “Listen, Johnny set this match up tonight. You CANNOT lose this one!”

Barone, silent as ever, nods his head.

Junior Gambino: “Relax! Why you even think I would lose this one?”

Anthony Moretti looks down at the Tag Team Championship around his own waist, before looking Gambino in the eye.

Anthony Moretti: “Well let’s face it, you haven’t been on the best run recently have you kid….. Johnny is pissed. He can’t see the family, he can’t see Blood Money look weak!”

Gambino begins to try and argue, before shaking his head.

Anthony Moretti: “JVD was in this group, he got kicked out of the family because he wasn’t winning enough. I repeat, you CANNOT lose to him tonight!”

Before Gamino can answer Moretti, the door swings open, and in walks Johnny Moretti, a huge smile on his face. Junior Gambino cautiously gets to his feet, as Johnny Moretti pinches his cheek before putting a hand on his shoulders.

Johnny Moretti: “Listen to my brother Junior. You cannot lose this one, but I know you won’t. I know you will make the family proud…. I know you will make me proud….”

Johnny Moretti pinches the cheek of Gambino again, as the scene heads to a commercial break.

After the exciting Tag Team match, the cameras head once again to the backstage interview area, where this time it is the sVo Champion Big Aug who is standing by with Katie Smith! The big Champion gets big cheers from the crowd, as he towers over the pretty red head, the Championship belt swinging from his shoulder.

Katie Smith: “August, thanks for joining me here tonight!”

There is a big pop from the crowd which makes the big man smile and nod his head to the camera in acknowledgement.

Katie Smith: “Now a few weeks ago at the Countdown to Violence 2023 PPV you survived a battle! You did exactly what you said you were going to do and out lasted three sVo legends in a four way elimination match to retain the sVo Championship belt!”

Lazar holds the belt in the air to show it off to the camera.

Big Aug: “That’s right Katie, Big Aug is #1 foodie on YouTube, but also #1 truth teller in the sVo! When Big Aug talks, everyone should listen!”

Katie Smith: “And what a match it was, a great achievement! With that now in the record books, everything turns to tonight’s main event which will see your next contender crowned. Do you have a preference in the battle between BBD, Night, Kenneth D Williams and Johnny Moretti?”

Aug looks at the belt on his shoulder for a few seconds before answering.

Big Aug: “At Countdown to Violence I proved I can beat everyone! Whoever wins match, I will beat them too! Bring it on!”

Aug holds the belt up to the camera to big cheers from the crowd.

Katie Smith: “Well there you have it folks, the Champion is ready to take on all comers! A big main event tonight will determine just who gets the next shot, but right up after the next commercial break we will see Gunner Lang get a shot at the Las Vegas Champion Dallas Jordan! Stay tuned!”

The camera fades out, with Lazar still holding his belt up to the camera and a big smile on the face of the Champion.

Forgotten Man

After the big Las Vegas Championship match, the camera heads to the interview area where Katie Smith is standing by with the massive figure of Hugo Ryzing! The fans boo loudly at the sight of the former Tag Team Champion, as he sneers at the reaction.

Katie Smith: “Hugo, thanks for joining me here tonight! Now you don’t have a match tonight, but I understand that you have a message that you wanted to get across?”

Hugo Ryzing: “I do Katie, and that message is to Amy Page and the rest of the sVo. Now I saw what happened to Bronson Johnson earlier this evening, and I want to assure Amy Page that I am here and 100% loyal to the sVo, no matter how tight me and JD James used to be….”

There is a mixed reaction from the crowd.

Katie Smith: “So you were not tempted to make the jump over to Project:Violence at all?”

Hugo Ryzing: “Oh Katie, I was more than tempted, but when I found out that I wouldn’t be escaping these idiots here in Las Vegas I figured that there was no point!”

Loud boos from the crowd.

Hugo Ryzing: “Beside I said when I came back from injury that I would be winning the sVo Championship, and that is exactly what I intend to do. No I hope there is a fresh start here under Amy Page, clearly the clever of the Page siblings, because Jon Page seemingly forgot to book me in matches week after week! I really hope that Amy Page doesn’t make the same mistake, otherwise I might have to start making some examples out of her top stars until she can’t forget me any longer!”

Ryzing smirks into the camera as the scene fades out to more boos from crowd.

What AM I Missing?

The camera heads backstage where Carny Sinclair and Reznikov are standing in front of a monitor in the locker room. Sinclair has a TV remove in his hand, and is seemingly watching the Las Vegas Championship match from earlier this evening on repeat.

Carny Sinclair: “I don’t get it, I just don’t get it….”

Sinclair laughs manically as the big Russian bear Reznikov stares at him, looking confused.

Carny Sinclair: “This Lang cat…. He loses match after match…. Surely everyone can see he is past it?”

Sinclair laughs manically again, as Reznikov turns his attention to the TV screen.

Carny Sinclair: “But NO! NO! NO! Somehow the fans keep cheering him? The office keep pushing him? What am I not seeing here Reznikov?”

Reznikov focuses in on the TV screen as Sinclair manically keeps hitting fast forward and then rewind every few seconds.

Carny Sinclair: “WHAT AM I NOT SEEING REZNIKOV?”

Sinclair laughs manically again, as the scene fades out, with Carny Sinclair pausing the action on a close up of Gunner Lang’s face looking pained.
