sVo Showdown Episode #076
3rd April 2011
Goodfellas Casino Arena, Las Vegas Nevada

“Natural High” by The Union Underground hits the sound system as the sVo Showdown entrance video hits the screens of TV’s all over the world! The video featuring the likes of sVo Champion Jay Wildman, Roscoe Shame, Night, Bobby Dean and Samuel Amos shows some of the best action to have ever taken place on the flagship show of the Sanctioned Violence Organization.

As the video comes to an end, the camera cuts to the arena and pans around the sold out crowd as pyro’s shoot up from the entrance stage whilst the theme music continues to blast out over the sound system. The camera picks out several signs in the crowd as the fireworks continue to explode around the ringside area.

The camera then pans across to the entrance stage, where a video recap of last weeks action is shown on the giant Violence-Tron before tonight’s action gets under-way.

LAST WEEK ON VENDETTA 2011

As Chris Bond raises Sara Pettis hand in the air in victory there is massive cheers from the fans as the sVo team of Night, El Locon, Sheldon Hossteder and Loki Synn make their way back down the entrance ramp and climb into the ring to celebrate the victory. The group is joined by Jon Page who throws his hands up in the air triumphantly.

As Matt Anderson watches one and slowly skulks away with hatred surely burning from behind his sunglasses, streamers begin to fall from the ceiling and fireworks shoot up from the entrance ramp to celebrate the big victory in the history of the sVo!

The victorious team continue to celebrate in the middle of the ring, until suddenly there is confusion in the arena as “O’ Canada” into “Holding Out for a Hero” by Emery hits the sound system as ‘The Canadian Crusader’ Bruce Alexander Pepin III tears ass for the cage, rebels, Company men, and crowd alike gawking at the brashness of this newcomer. Pepin reaches the door, throws it open, enters the ring, and slams the door shut, turning around immediately and smiling at all that stand before him. He speaks loudly enough for his words to be heard by the camera.

Pepin: Je ne suis pas piégé dans ici avec vous; vous êtes tous piégés dans ici avec moi!

The crowd is mostly muttering with confusion, though some boos are mixed in. The wrestlers in the ring look around at each other, smiles breaking out on more than a few of their faces, until Pepin lunges right for the person nearest to him, Sheldon Hossteder, and nails him with a hard left. The crowd lets loose with their boos as Hossteder stumbles back, mostly from the surprise of the blow, and Pepin turns to attack El Locon, but Pepin is absolutely flattened by the El Loco from Hell before he can even think, “A beaver tail would be very nice right now.” The crowd erupts, and the rebels recommence their celebration.

This is short-lived, as from out of the back run none other than… Greg Segier and Intrepid, much to the distaste of the crowd!

Intrepid: HEATHENS!

The rebels are NOT happy, as this is another interruption to their hard-earned victory in Organized Chaos. The two of them (Segier and Intrepid) reach the cage and enter it as quickly as they can, and the rebels are less nice this time, immediately heading for them and stomping away at them before they can even ready themselves. The crowd cheers loudly again, and once the three intruders are pushed out of the ring, the celebration begins anew, the crisis implied for weeks officially averted.

Until the first man jumped the guardrail. Then the next. Then the next. Six men in all, all stalking right toward the cage, all somehow familiar yet terrifyingly unknown.

The crowd is no longer booing or murmuring, but now screaming at their heroes to see what’s going on. They don’t notice until the largest of the men, a massive mound of man in jeans and a biker’s trenchcoat, reaches the door to the cage, snarls, and tears it off its hinges. The party comes to an abrupt end on this note.

The men all enter the cage, slowly now, eyeing the men and women in front of them coldly, with clearly single-minded but ambiguous intentions. They move around the ring, and one of them, the smallest in the group, bends to rouse the three men that assaulted the ring moments before. Pepin, Segier, and Intrepid, having finally shaken out the cobwebs, join the others, and the outsiders now number nine strong, surrounding the ring. The rebels, and even the Company men, look back and forth at each man on the outside, waiting to see who will make the first move, the crowd screaming in terror, uncertainty for their heroes filling their collective being.

The stalemate lasts until the men on the outside look, slowly, agonizingly, one at a time, to one of their flock in particular, a man with hair, streaked white, hanging in his face. He nods, and as one, they swarm the ring. Instinctively, the rebels shrink back, tightening their group into a smaller size, but the men don’t slow, and are upon them almost instantly, laying into the rebels with rights and lefts, swallowing them all up into a cloud of pain.

Cody Williams is the first out of the pain cloud, clutching at his face, and Greg Segier follows him closely, kicking him in the back, causing him to roll into the nearest corner. Segier yanks Williams over to the corner, exits the ring, pulls his crotch across the turnbuckle pole, and applies a hanging Figure Four. Williams screams in pain, thrashing about, but to no avail. Especially after Intrepid gets directly in his face and begins shrieking at him about the voices.

Night manages to get himself some breathing room, but it’s short-lived as the streaked-haired man nails him with a very stiff knee strike to the head, sending him careening into the ropes. The smallest man adds to the pain, smashing the Kyoto native in the face with a superkick that sends him right out the ring. Bruce Pepin and a man with tribal face paint follow him out like bloodhounds before commencing their assault on the groggy Night.

Sara Pettis boldly wails away at a man with cold, almost soulless eyes, desperately trying to defend herself, but the man pushes her right onto her back. He laughs as she attempts to get back to her feet, and he easily lifts her onto his shoulders, eyeing the nearest ropes before heading for them. He tosses her off and torques himself and her in the air, ultimately catching her in a modified TKO that drops her throat-first across the top rope, her body landing in a motionless heap on the outside.

El Locon and a man wearing a golden bandana are going at it, locked up tight, until they both tumble over the top rope. El Locon seemingly takes the advantage, but a hard boot to the gut derails that train, and the bandana-wearing man sends the huge Puerto Rican not only into the cage wall with a powerbomb, but straight through the wall, tearing a large section out of the cage with a nasty steel wrenching sound. The crowd doesn’t mask their shock and terror.

Sheldon Hossteder and Chris Bond manage to drive the largest of the men back for a moment, but they happen to give him the tinniest of spaces to nail Bond square in the face with a death rattle of a superkick that no man that size should be able to perform. Hossteder stands, looking at the massive man before him, with uncertainty etched on his face, until the beast of a man wipes the look off his face with a spear that has FAR too much power behind it for having absolutely no charge.

With all of the rebels downed, the only man remaining is Jon Page, and the outsiders all turn their attention to him. The camera cuts from one fallen hero to another, each bleeding, moving little, weakly watching their leader as he is stalked by the terrible group of interlopers. He smartly tries to make a run for it, but the biggest, baldest of them all catches him with a boot before picking him up over his head and driving him down with a sitout variation of a Last Ride that shakes the arena down to its foundation. One picks Page up before ripping him right back down with an RKO-like cutter. The man with the bandana picks him up now, grabs him in a front face lock, butterflies his arms, leaps, and dropkicks his victim’s legs out from under him as he obliterates him with a modified Double-Arm DDT. The one with the streaked hair steps up finally, looks down at the fallen leader of the rebels, smiles slightly, and makes his move, gaining side control over the fallen Page, locking both arms, and beginning to deliver sick elbow after sick elbow into Page’s exposed head. The crowd is on full-on booing duty, screaming their hatred and obscenities at these men, but none of them pay the fans any mind. Especially not the man with the streaked hair. He doesn’t notice anything until Page stops moving.

They don’t stop there. The smallest man reaches under the ring and produces a sledgehammer after a bit of digging, and takes it to the cage wall, tearing through it easily. The largest man produces a cinder block from under the ring and makes his way out of the wrecked cage toward the entranceway. The man with the bandana finds a fire axe under the ring, twirling the head of it before climbing into the ring, raising the axe high, and driving it down hard into the canvas with a THWACK. He raises it and repeats the process, over and over, the sound resonating throughout the arena. The streaked-haired man strikes the nearest cameraman, causing the feed to abruptly change from the fallen camera to the main one. The other men continue their assault on the fallen rebels, drawing more blood, causing more pain.

The large baldie has reached the top of the entrance now, and he stares out into the hostile crowd, holding the cinder block aloft like a trophy before throwing it with all of his might at the sVo Tron. The massive screen shatters from the force of the blow, raining down glass onto the large man, who laughs deeply, heartily, like the shaking of mountains.

The shot returns to the ring, where the man in the bandana takes a final swing of the axe, burying it deeply in the ring. He steps back and admires his handiwork, and it is the final image on the screen before the scene fades to black and Vendetta closes.

Three letters.

WWA.RINGSIDE

A new Fellowship?“End of Line” plays over the PA system as Jay Wildman walks out from behind the curtains in a black suit and green tie, the World title over his shoulder and a mic in hand. He stops after a few steps and nods to the fans who cheer for him before he walks to the ring. He high fives some people in attendance and ruffles a boy’s hair, giving him a chance to touch the World title. He walks to the ring and slides in, holding the title up over his head. The crowd cheers in response. Wildman nods for a moment before motioning for his music to stop.

Wildman: You know, for years I thought I wouldn’t get that kind of reception when I walked out. I thought I would have to hear boos or even silence as I wrestled. I have to thank you, the people in the stands and all of our fans for the support over the last few months. I couldn’t have done it without you.

The crowd cheers at being mentioned, which causes Wildman to smile and applaud the crowd for their efforts. He motions for them to settle down and continues his rant.

Wildman: Tonight SHOULD have been a great night for me, recognition for standing up against a tough foe, not once but twice, and walking away with the title still around my waist. Instead, all I hear about since I get into the building is how great the WWA is, what their appearance means for sVo and even that sVo might close down because of it! Can you believe that?

The crowd boos at the closing down statement.

Wildman: And then I get to hear about these jackasses keep running their mouth on how they are going to shake up the world by taking us all down one at a time. They are coming for our titles. They will make an example from anyone who manages to stand in their way. You know what I have to say to that? Bring it on!

The crowd cheers again.

Wildman: I don’t know if any of these boys noticed but we haven’t been exactly unified recently. We’ve had our problems and it split us into far too many groups. This was a perfect time for them to come in and start flexing their muscle, start throwing their weight around. I can’t say that if I were in their shoes, I wouldn’t do the same thing. sVo is weakened by this crap going on between Anderson and Page, this personal pissing contest has left us vulnerable. So, if Anderson and Page can’t do anything about it, I say it’s high time I do something about it myself.

The crowd chants “sVo”, causing Wildman to lower his mic and pump his fist in the air to encourage them on. After a few rounds, Wildman brings the mic up to his lips once more.

Wildman: So the notice is out there, to anyone willing to put aside his or her differences and do something about this. Come find me, we’ll work something out. Tonight is a night for Fellowship, not division. Tonight is the night we prove to these asshats sVo isn’t going to roll over and die because some outsider says they should!

The crowd erupts once more.

Wildman: WWA boys, you wanted some attention and notoriety for attacking us at our weakest? I think you just kicked a hornet’s nest. Prepare to get stung!

The crowd give a mixed reaction as “Sorry, You’re Not A Winner” by Enter Shikari blasts around the arena as Nathan Paradine appears at the top of the ramp, his arms crossed over his chest and his head bowed. He glances up, the lights reflecting off his sunglasses and he points out towards the crowd, oblivious to their boos. He marches down to the ring and slides in underneath the bottom rope, climbing to his feet and raising an arm up into the air as the music dies away. Paradine grabs a microphone from ringside as he approaches the sVo Champion.

Nathan Paradine: “Inspiring stuff Wildman, but I am not out here tonight about the WWA, I am out here for something very different…”

There is a mixed reaction from the crowd as Wildman and Paradine stare each other down.

Nathan Paradine:”I want you all to think back to the 4th of May, 2008. For those of you who remember, that was the day that I made my Sanctioned Violence Organization debut. That was the day that a star was truly born! Of course, I didn’t get off to a great start, losing in my very first match on American soil to that two-bit idiot Travis Williams. In fact, I didn’t do much better after that… I lost match after match, every so often scraping a victory so I didn’t end up resigned to the bottom of the card, or even dropped from the roster. The wins I accumulated during that time aren’t really important now… it’s the losses that count. Every time I tasted the bitter sting of defeat, it made me stronger. Every punch, every kick, it made me into the man I am today. It made me determined to prove all of my naysayers wrong and rise up above the riff-raff, to prove myself as the top notch competitor I know I am.”

Paradine stares at the sVo Championship belt on Wildman’s shoulder as he continues to speak.

Nathan Paradine: “It took a tenure in that second rate promotion Hostility to get me to the stage I am at, but not a single person in this arena can deny that I have earned the opportunity to win the sVo World Heavyweight Championship. I stuck with this promotion while the likes of Alex Ross and Psyko Stevo drove it into the ground. I answered the call when the sVo returned last year, only to sink back into obscurity after a week. I brought Jon freakin’ Page back to combat the Company, and what do I have to show for it? A few pointless title reigns and another portion of my career wasted chasing a dream that would never materialize! Don’t any of you understand that I only have the best interests of this place at heart, and to truly live up to the expectations of each and every fan I must wear the World Heavyweight Championship in the place of Jay Wildman?”

Wildman doesn’t look too happy at the challenge as he steps forward to go face to face with Paradine. However just as the two look like they are about to come to blows, The fans in the arena boo as yellow and red fireworks shoot up into the air from the entrance ramp as “Drop Tha World” by Lil Wayne hits the sound system. A few seconds later Roscoe Shame appears at the top of the ramp pretending to play the guitar, and the fans go wild for 6’6″ heavyweight from Kalamazoo, Michigan. The fans stand to their feet and cheer at the mockery he is making of himself at the top of the entrance stage before he makes his way slowly down the entrance ramp his way to the ring. As Shame walks past pyro’s shoot up alongside him from either side of the ramp until he reaches the ring. Roscoe Shame slowly climbs into the ring soaking up the fans reaction, before posing on the nearest turnbuckle.

Paradine and Wildman both stare at the big man as he continues to ignore them whilst posing on the turnbuckles, before grabbing a microphone of his own from ringside.

Roscoe Shame: “I have come out here tonight to put everyone on notice. Roscoe Shame is gunning the sVo World Championship. The sVo has failed to give me my rematch that every other former champion has been given the right too. I’m sure that is none other than Matt Anderson’s doing seeing as how I left The Company. However tonight is when it all ends. I have sat back long enough and done nothing. That will happen no more! Amos got his shot and couldn’t get the job done. Now Nathan Paradoofus is claiming he deserves a shot and won’t stop until he gets one. Well nobody and I mean nobody on this whole damn roster is getting a shot at the title before me! I will do everything in my power to make sure I am the only getting the shot. If any of you have a problem with that then come do something about it!”

The crowd cheer as all three men look at each other. With Paradine and Shame both throwing their name into the hat for a sVo title shot as Wildman was calling for unity, is his title in more jeopardy than ever before?

Suddenly “You’re the Best” begins to play as the lights go down and a baby blue spotlight is shown at the top of the entrance ramp. BBD comes out to a chorus of boos in his baby blue Ric Flair-esque robe that is covered in sparkling diamonds. He struts his way down the entrance ramp refusing to touch the out stretched hands of fans at ringside. Walking up the steel steps, he wipes his feet off before stepping into the ring. Shame, Wildman and Paradine stare at Bobby Dean in disgust as he struts around the ring and taunts to all three men.

BBD: The black cloud that has been hovering over my head since before Roll of the Dice is no more! I’ve taken the backseat to Roscoe Shame one too many times and all I got to show for it is an empty waist, not even a cool t-shirt! No more tag team title, no more International title, not even the Las Vegas title! And it all started the day I made a pact with that no-talent hack, the self-proclaimed “Mr. International.”

Bobby lowers the microphone, looking into the camera for a second before raising the mic back to his face.

BBD: I’ve taken the backseat, passed over title shots all in the name of friendship. But those days are no more! Bobby Dean is now fighting for Bobby Dean! The one thing that has eluded me since signing a contract with this place will be mine soon enough. If that means walking through Jay Wildman then so be it. Roscoe Shame, Nathan Paradine, they will all fall as I rise, for I am a phoenix of beauty! Rising from the ugly ashes that was Beautiful Shame, “Beautiful” Bobby Dean is back!

With that said, Bobby Dean drops the microphone before slowly reaching up to the mask covering half his face. With gentle fingers and the camera zooming in, Bobby Dean slowly removes the mask from his face, revealing a clear face underneath. No scar, no blemish, nothing but unmarred pasty skin, and a radiant smile. Next, Bobby Dean reaches up and removes the purple t-shirt from his back, revealing an old fashion, classic, California blue BBD t-shirt!

The crowd boo loudly at the actions of Bobby Dean as Roscoe Shame stares at his now former tag team partner in disgust. Wildman leans back in the corner of the ring with his title belt, but just as it looks like he might be facing a four way match for his title belt, A whisper…

“I’m dreaming…”

The distant chords of Deftones’ “Knife Party” cut through the PA as the arena lights cut completely. The Tron sparks to life as the words “I’m dreaming…” float onto it. As the song errupts the words are replaced by one. A name.

” N I G H T “

An explosion of purple light as a man in a purple tights with black wrestling boots bursts onto the entrance ramp. A head of black dreadlocks stream off his head, tracing the man’s jaw. The crowd erupts as the sVo Hall-of-Famer stands at the top of the entrance ramp – motionless for a moment, his stance elegant and mysterious, giving away nothing of his motives. As the music swirls away, the man only known as Night begins his walk to the ring – only, he doesn’t walk, it appears more of a graceful glide. Although he moves seamlessly, he moves deceptively quickly to the ring, sliding deliberately and headfirst into the ring.

All four men look at the hall of famer as the crowd cheer him loudly. The former sVo Champion is tossed a microphone from ringside, and he waits for the cheers to quieten down before addressing the crowd.

Night: “Well, I just thought I’d throw my hat into the ring here and I’m going to come right out and say it – I should be the one to face Wildman for the sVo World Heavyweight Championship. I’ve been a part of this company since its early days. I started at the bottom, just like any other wrestler to have stepped into an sVo ring. I fought wars in here, I’ve poured my blood, sweat and tears into this company in droves. I’m the only man to have held the Hardcore, International, Tag-Team and World Titles here.”

There is a huge pop from the crowd, Night paces – pausing to soak in the reaction, the look of focused determination still burning in his eyes as he surveys the scene around him.

Night: “But I’m not content to rest on my laurels and be content with former accomplishments. I’ll admit, since my return things may have been a little lackluster. Sure, I have been involved in winning teams in the war against The Company, Matt Anderson and my brother; in all of these matches I have been tunnel-visioned and as a result have found myself to be somewhat of a fringe player… but at the core of it all, everything I have done, I have done for this federation; for love of the sVo. When I lost the World Heavyweight Championship to Roscoe Shame I didn’t make excuses – I lost that match fair and square… I didn’t even act on the rematch clause in my contract. I focused my attention on ridding the sVo of a plague. Now, with The Company destroyed… with ‘Nightmare’ humbled… now, it’s time. I want the chance to reclaim the title. I want the chance to prove to Wildman, Shame and the rest of the roster why I am the best the sVo has to offer and why I am worthy of being the first Hall-of-Fame inductee. I want my rematch and a dream-match of mine against Jay Wildman, a competitor I have the utmost respect for – an honorable champion. I guarantee that a match between Mr Wildman and myself will be not only memorable, but a contender for ‘Match of the Year’. To any doubters, I need to remind you that when placed on the biggest stage for the biggest prize the sVo has to offer I will leave nothing behind – I will put everything I have into reclaiming the title – and THAT is why I deserve to be the man to challenge Wildman next.”

The crowd cheer loudly for the statement from Night as the four challengers look towards Jay Wildman as the sVo Champion holds his title belt on his shoulder and surveys the challengers. However the challenges are not over as boos ring out around the arena as With a sudden explosion of noise, Pantera’s “The Great Southern Trendkill” obliterates the speaker system, launching straight into the mad, gargling shriek of Phil Anselmo, as the crowd gets on their feet, blowing the roof away with their insane hatred for Trendkiller. The words THE GREAT SOUTHERN KILLER OF TRENDS appear on the V-Tron, quickly followed by TRENDKILLER and then, after a flash-by of an upper-body picture of the big, bald badass, the words HE WILL HURT YOU. The curtain hanging in front of the entrance splits and slides to the sides, revealing the silhouette of Trendkiller, the gargantuan man backlit by a flickering strobe.

The last WWA champion Trendkiller slowly walks out onto the top of the entrance ramp with a microphone in his hand. The massive Trendkiller stares out at the crowd who boo him loudly, with the exception of a small band of WWA fans who chant his name. The sVo Champion and his four challengers seem to forget about each other momentairly as they stare up at Trendkiller on the top of the entrance ramp, as he is slowly joined by his WWA collogues. With Greg Segier, Intrepid, Jaymz Watkins, Jack Griffiths, Kash, RJ Stone, Pepin and SurReal by his side, the massive Trendkiller addresses the five men in the ring.

Trendkiller: “Forget about Night, forget about Paradine, forget about Bobby Dean and forget about Roscoe Shame. The next sVo Champion will be the last ever WWA champion!”

Trendkiller quickly drops the microphone and sprints down the entrance ramp towards the ring. With his WWA collegues close behind Trendkiller dives head first into the ring and makes his way straight for Jay Wildman! The sVo stars forget their differences and begin to lay into the WWA wrestlers with big kicks and punches, however the numbers game soon becomes too much for them as the WWA stars toss them over the top rope one by one, finally throwing Jay Wildman out of the ring. With the WWA stars dominating the ring there are boos from the crowd as Trendkiller picks up Jay Wildman’s sVo Championship belt and holds it high above his head as Showdown heads to a commercial break.
SINGLE MATCH
Sean Maverick vs. ReaperAll the lights fade, and darkness envelops the Goodfellas Arena. “Headstrong” by Trapt starts playing over the PA system, as the stage and ramp are bathed in the blue, white and red lights of the Union Jack. Sean Maverick steps out in his all black ring attire; a scowl pasted on his face. He sprints down the ramp and slides into the ring, talking down to the crowd as he rises to his feet. As the crowd continues to react with a united, and unanimous boo, Maverick’s demeanor grows more foul.

The lights remained dimmed as the crowd starts to get anxious. The electric chords of “Follow The Reaper” by Children of Bodom blares over the PA system as the man known simply as Reaper steps out onto the stage. Reaper stands center stage as a bright white spotlight shines on him. Unclasping the Las Vegas Title from around his waist, he raises his arms in the air taunting at the crowd and showing off his hardware. Reaper leans his head back and gives a primal roar towards the crowd as he snaps his head back. The cameras getting a close look at the intensity in his eyes as he starts to march his way down the ramp way. Reaper makes his way to the apron where he slides under the bottom and rope into the ring. He uses the second rope to lift himself back up to his feet. Reaper rolls his neck as he heads to the nearest corner, and hands his title through the ropes to a member of the ring crew.

The referee calls for the bell, and Maverick storms straight over to Reaper. The Brit gets right in Reaper’s grill, and delivers a disrespectful slap across the face. This get Reaper fuming, and he responds with a stiff kick to the midsection, followed by a hard punch to the side of the head. Maverick stumbles back to the center of the ring, giving Reaper some room to get a running start before dropping Maverick with a clothesline. Maverick doesn’t stay down for long, but as he rises to his feet, Reaper catches him with a kidney punch.

The brawler from Manchester tries to counter, but Reaper dodges the wild punch, and counters by sending Maverick into the corner with an Irish whip. Maverick hits the turnbuckles hard and falls to a seated position. Reaper follows him closes, and starts stomping away at his opponent. The sentiment of “that’s gotta hurt” runs through the crowd, as Reaper runs to the far corner, and then charges back at Maverick. Suddenly, Maverick lunges to his feet and connects with a running elbow strike.

Both men fall to the canvas in a heap. Reaper shows signs of life, but can’t manage to get up just yet. The referee stands over the fallen combatants, hesitating to start a ten count. Sean Maverick begins crawling towards the ropes, as Reaper starts pushing himself up to a knee. Maverick reaches the ropes and pulls himself up, only to turn around and see Reaper already on his feet.

The two men advance towards one another, coming together in a flurry of strikes. Reaper gets sneaky, and tries to hit Maverick with the Busaiku Knee Kick finisher he calls “The End”. However, Maverick dodges the knee and counters with a European uppercut that staggers the Las Vegas champ. Before Reaper can recover, Maverick follows up with a swinging neckbreaker. He drops quickly, and makes a cover.

ONE…

TWO…

Reaper gets his foot on the bottom rope, halting the count at two. Maverick seems a little frustrated, but keeps up the pressure on Reaper by dropping a couple elbows down across his back. He pulls Reaper up by the back of his waistband, and then tosses him shoulder first into the ring post. Reaper stumbles backwards, and right into Maverick’s clutches. He lifts the Las Vegas champ up and goes for “London Calling”, but Reaper fights out. Maverick loses his balance and falls into the corner, while Reaper lands on his feet.

Reaper picks his spot and waits for Maverick to get to his feet. When he does, he turns around and right into a Busaiku Knee Kick. However, for the second time, Maverick dodges the finisher, and connects with a chop block that drops the Las Vegas champ. Reaper is favoring his knee as he tries to get up, so Maverick obliges in helping him to his feet. Actually, he goes above and beyond in his efforts, lifting Reaper into the air and dropping him with the Reverse Falcon Arrow he calls “London Calling”.

Reaper bounces hard off the canvas, knocking the veteran brawler for a loop. Maverick makes a cover, hooking the far leg…

ONE…

TWO…

THREE!!!

“Headstrong” by Trapt begins to play again, as Maverick rises to his feet. He may have been feeling down about coming up short at Vendetta, but perhaps this victory over the Las Vegas champion will lighten his mood. The referee tries to raise Sean’s arm in victory, but Maverick walks away and rolls from the ring. He goes over to the time keeper’s desk and snatches up the Las Vegas Title. He stares down the the championship belt with a smug smile on his face. He starts to walk passed the ring on his way to the ramp, and looks back down at the title in his hands once more before casually sliding it into the ring next to its fallen owner.BACKSTAGE

A World w/o Darkness

Sheldon Hossteder is standing beside a large flat screen TV on the screen is a computer generated image of the Earth slowly rotating on it’s Axis.

Sheldon Hossteder: Intrepid. my dear deluded adversary. As you can see this is the Earth as we know it. Twenty four hours to complete one rotation. Now let’s see what happens if we stop the rotation of the planet.

Sheldon turns to a laptop and makes a few key strokes, the image on the screen zooms in close enough to see cities and plant life on the surface. Sheldon hits enter and the planet screeches to a halt the result is a wind storm that destroys the cities and and forests tearing everything that isn’t anchored to the bedrock from the ground and blows about the planet at nearly 1100 kilometers per hour. Sheldon chuckles and makes a few keystrokes and the damage is undone so that the Earth looks the same as it should only it isn’t rotating.

Sheldon Hossteder: Sorry I couldn’t resist. Obviously your mythological location with no night wouldn’t have been rotating in the first place. Here we go.

Sheldon starts the simulation that shows the visible plant life flourish briefly then start to burn off as the constant sun causes temperatures to rise to extremely high levels.

Sheldon Hossteder: This computer model represents what the Earth would look like if there was no night as in your mythical “Summerland of Bliss,” see, with out the night to set a cooling cycle into motion the sun facing side of the planet would heat up and would eventually burn off all life on the planet while the darkside of the planet would freeze in an icy hell. The only inhabitable areas would be the median areas of twilight where the sun doesn’t hit directly.

Sheldon shuts down the monitor and looks at the camera.

Sheldon Hossteder: Well, Intrepid, I hope that this has been an eye opening lesson for you. I don’t believe I’ll change your mind about your “Summerland of Bliss,” but if I did, no thanks are necessary.

Sheldon waves at the camera as the scene fades to black.RINGSIDE

Blast From the Past

We’re back at ringside, and the opening, electrifying chords of ‘Buried Alive” By Alter Bridge, tenderly stream from the PA system, and the arena rapidly transforms amid the blue haze of the house-lights, on the screen, dark clouds form menacingly in its build-up. After the 12 second intro, the area explodes in an angelic white glow and as the song gathers momentum, the V-Tron show a huge lightning bolt ferociously striking the ground and shattering the earth. The fans leap to their collective feet, cheering wildly. “Ride The Lightning” rips across the V-Tron in red lettering, as Jackson strides from behind the curtain.

Natasha Ortiz: Ladies and gentlemen, approaching the ring …from Chicago, Illinois…………JACKSOOOOOOOON!

After pausing on the stage, absorbing the passionate dynamism and breathing in the energy, Jackson strides toward the ring, mouthing to the crowd and pointing to various sections. The white trim on his addidas pants reflect the colored beams shooting across the arena, and his body, coated in sweat, glistens in the glow. He wears a sleeveless black tank top, with a lightning bolt across the chest. “Ride The Lightning” is sprawled across the back.

I twist and turn

In the darkest space

Can’t find my worth

As I numb the pain

Glass to the sky

With a black tooth grin

This whiskey smile

Takes me down again.

Jackson reaches the ring, and climbs the nearest turnbuckle. Throwing an arm triumphantly into the air, he once again soaks in the electricity. He crosses the ring, and replicates the same process at the opposite corner, as his music fades he continues to look out into the crowd. Jackson grabs a microphone from a ring-hand and waits for the audience to calm.

Jackson: Las Vegas, Nevada!

Cheap pop.

Jackson: Last Sunday Night, Vendetta 2011 Jackson made his debut in the sVo……

Another small cheer.

Jackson: It’s where it all started for Jackson…..it’s there, that the fans of the sVo first witnessed, the energy, and the lightning like they never felt before!

The fans cheer again, as they reminisce the latest PPV. From the Battle Royale, to the sVo World Title Match-up, from Organised Chaos to the arrival of the WWA, Sunday night was an action-packed slobber-knocker. Jackson paces around the ring.

Jackson: …and despite the fact, that Jackson failed in being triumphant in that Battle Royale….despite the fact, that the Atom Ant wannabe, flash Gordon lookalike sum’B*TCH, Tyler Mathews pinned me one, two, three in the center of this very ring…

Slight boos.

Jackson: Despite all of that…..I’m here tonight to address something very different…..Ya’ see, although Sunday night was a milestone for me….”The Lightning Rider” has plied his trade somewhere else….

A mixed reaction resonates from the crowd as they await his announcement. Jackson pauses, looking toward the V-Tron as if to confirm he is unaccompanied in the ring. He continues…

Jackson: It’s true, that although……”The Charismatic Magnet”, made his debut for sVo Sunday night….I have a history…..I have a past……..with the WWA…

Those three letters are greeted with thunderous boos from all around, and chants of ‘SVO’ break out among the audience. Jackson stands open-palmed in surrender, before continuing…

Jackson: I was a part of the WWA roster for my early years. I grew up watching the WWA and adoring superstars like Jackson Kraven, Denrol, Tracer Bullet and Craven Moore….. But I’m sure if the fans followed Jackson’s rise to glory, and rode the lightning along the way, you would understand that my past with the WWA is just that…..the past!

Another cheer in unison blasts from the crowd.

Jackson: Ladies and Gentleman, Jackson left the WWA many years ago. I’d had enough of the bitching and complaining…..the backstage politics and the in-ring favoritism! Jackson knew that the WWA was rotting from the inside out and Jackson was determined to jump ship, instead of sinking with that vessel…..

Small, limited chants of “Jackson” begin to trickle down towards the ring from the rafters. He acknowledges the vocals with a smile, before continuing….

Jackson: When I signed my contract with the sVo, it was a new chapter in my career, and a new beginning! But Sunday night…..in front of a sold out, Goodfellas Casino crowd…all the memories, all the disappointment….and aaaaallll the bullsh*t came flooding back! Sneaking into the sVo like a plague, an epidemic of assholes……………But I’m not gonna stand here in the middle of this ring, and talk trash about the WWA. Jackson is in no position, to walk around and proclaim how I’m gonna whoop, their asses’ aaaaallll the way back to Meltdown!

Another pop from the fans. More people join in with the “Jackson” chant…

Jackson: No, No, Jackson just ain’t that kind of guy. So what Jackson is gonna do…..what “The Lightning Rider” is gonna do……is simply ask, some questions……I plan to enquire, just WHO in the HELL do these WWA’nkers think they are?! Do they think they can simply stroll in with their highlighted hair and Harry Potter robes?

The crowd laugh and cheer at the references to Kade Williams and Kash, before “WWA sucks” begins to rise in volume.

Jackson: To the WWA, do not think that your presence here is intimidating! Don’t begin to think….that the sVo roster is gonna bow down to your face paint and history. Because, without a shadow of a doubt….there is only one question that the sVo fans want to see answered….

Can you, Ride….The…Ligh-

Jackson is interrupted mid-sentence, as the atmosphere switches abruptly into “Holding Out For a Hero” by Emery. From backstage emerges the “Canadian Crusader”, and former WWA superstar, Bruce Pepin. Wearing a black vest and his customary Canadian trunks, he walks to the ring with a cocky grin.

Where have all the good men gone and where are all the Gods?

Where’s the street wise Hercules to fight the rising odds?

Isn’t there a white knight upon a fiery steed?

Late at night I toss and I turn and I dream of what I need

Pepin hits the ring, stomping back and forth and signaling to the crowd who have booed his arrival since the first chords of his music. His smile shines as flashes fill the sky. Pepin pumps his first in the air and yells out ‘we can do this, together!’

I need a hero

I’m holding out for a hero till the end of the night

he’s gotta b e strong and he’s gotta be fast

and he’s gotta be fresh from the fight, fresh from the fight

Bruce gets into the ring, taking his vest of and launching it towards Jackson. It lands on “The Lightning Rider’s” face, causing him to angrily brush it off. Pepin chuckles and goes forward with his hand outstretched. Jackson refuses a handshake, but instead slaps the open palm away motioning for Pepin to get himself a microphone. Bruce waits for the negativity from the crowd to die down, before raising the mic to his irrefutably attractive lips.

Pepin: Jackson…Jackson…

Pepin’s opening words are greeted with yet more boos. His accent means it’s pronouncing more like ‘Gyakso’…

Pepin: Is that what you are calling youself now? I guess you became tired of dressing up like a comic book? Or a dead pop star…

More boos, as we are reminded of Jackson’s unsuccessful roles as Mighty Joe….and even more embarrassing, Joey Jackson.

Pepin: Jackson you can ask us these questions of yours, because I have no doubt that over the coming weeks you will get your answers. But, unlike you, what we respond with, will be the truth. You see ladies and gentlemen…

Pepin spins away from Jackson, and now addresses the fans who continue to sound their disapproval.

Pepin: Despite what this man (points at Jackson) has proclaimed this evening….he did not leave the WWA because of backstage problems, or as a result of favoritism or any other silly excuse he plans to preach.

Pepin turns back to face Jackson. Their faces inches from the other.

Pepin: Jackson left, because he was quite simply….not.good.enough.

More boos from the crowd, but Jackson somehow fails to react as the two men continue to stare at each other in the center of the ring. Their expressions will the other into making the first move, but just as the action explodes, Head like a hole” by NiN begins to play over the PA system and the crowd are already getting to their feet to show anger.

“Bow down before the one you serve!”

“You’re going to get what you deserve!”

The two men in the ring turn towards the entrance way, as Greg Segier’s music fills their auditory senses. However, after a few seconds it is evident that Pepin’s fellow WWA star is not going to show. Instead, “The Lost Rougeau” deviously positions himself behind Jackson, who continues to stare toward the stage. The crowd urges Jackson to turn around, but he fails to heed their warning and walk straight into The E.L.E!

The fans erupt into outraged derision, as Pepin slides back to his feet with a sly grin. He grabs a microphone and is forced to shout over the negative response from the audience. He peers down at Jackson who is sprawled out cold on the canvas.

Pepin: Stay out of my business!

He drops the mic with a dull thud, and rolls out of the ring with a smile before making his way towards the back. He leaves Jackson still unconscious in the middle of the ring.
SINGLE MATCH
Alex Brooks vs. RJ StoneSavium’s instrumental cover of “Sad But True” by Metallica obliterates the PA system. The SVO-Tron displays nothing fancy. Simply the words THE ASSASSIN in a font that looks like static on a television screen manifest into words. As the song brutally churns along, a brilliant red pyro goes off. When it has subsided, RJ Stone stands at the top of the entrance ramp, seemingly materialized from thin air. His arms are out at his sides, much akin to Raven’s old signature pose. He holds this for a few long moments before stalking purposefully down the entrance ramp. He ignores the crowds boos the entire time.

Ortiz: Ladies and Gentlemen, now entering the ring and representing the World Wrestling Alliance, he weighs in at 244 pounds and hails from Fresno, California, “The Assassin” ARRRRRE JAYYYYY STOOOOOOONE!

RJ quickly slides under the bottom rope and is on the nearest turnbuckle in a flash. He stares a hole into the fans for a moment before repeating the same pose he held on the entrance ramp. He holds this for a few seconds before hopping down from the turnbuckle and leaning back into the corner in a sitting position, staring with intent and malice directed at the entrance ramp.

“Jukebox Hero” kicks in over the arena PA. Brooks busts out onto the stage and looks at the crowd for a couple of seconds before running down the aisle, slapping hands with as many fans as possible.

The Unlikely Hero Alex Brooks stares down his opponent as RJ Stones leans against the turnbuckle in the corner of the ring and waits for the action to get started. The referee quickly calls for the bell to be rung, and both men make their way towards each other. The crowd pop as Alex Brooks kicks the match off with some big right hands to the face of his opponent to back him into the corner of the ring. Brooks pounds away with big rights and lefts on Stone in the corner of the ring, before RJ Stone is able to knock him away with a big knee to the midsection. RJ Stone grabs hold of Brooks by the back of the head and slams him face first into the turnbuckle, before taking him down to the mat with a snap DDT!

The fans boo loudly as RJ Stone lays into Brooks with some big kicks before finally allowing him up to a standing position. Brooks throws a big right at RJ Stone, however Stone blocks the punch before taking Brooks down to the mat with a big martial arts kick. With Brooks down on the mat, the fans boo loudly as the WWA star RJ Stone locks in a knee bar submission move on the youngster.

Brooks shouts out in pain as RJ Stone tries to force the submission victory. The referee asks Brooks if he would like to quit, however the Unlikely Hero bravely shakes his head and reaches out to try and grab the bottom rope to force a rope break. The fans cheer loudly to try and encourage Brooks as he slowly edges further and further towards the rope.

With the crowd behind him, there is a big cheer as Brooks manages to grab hold of the bottom rope to force RJ Stone to release the hold! RJ Stone keeps the hold locked on for a few seconds longer than needed, before finally releasing Brooks. Brooks slowly limps up to a standing position, but as he does RJ Stone grabs hold of his opponents leg and looks for another submission hold. Brooks tries to shake off his opponent and looks for an enzuguri, however RJ Stone ducks under the leg of Brooks! The fans boo loudly as Stone places his foot behind the knee joint of his opponent before slamming it back down into the mat. With Brooks down and hurting, RJ Stone instead looks for a cover.

One…

Two…

No!

Alex Brooks shows just how much courage he has as he manages to get a shoulder up off of the canvas before the three count! RJ Stone looks less than impressed as he grabs Brooks by the hair and nails him with some uppercuts as he drags him up to a standing position. RJ Stone throws Brooks hard into the ring ropes, however as Brooks bounces back he manages to hit a running hip toss on his opponent! The fans cheer the big move from Brooks, as RJ Stone pops straight back up to his feet only to be caught with a head lock takedown from Brooks.

Alex Brooks keeps the head lock in place as he holds RJ Stone on the mat, before Stone is able to roll up to a standing position. Brooks lays into Stone with some big right hands before throwing him hard into the ring ropes. Stone bounces back into the middle of the ring where he is met with a kick to the midsection and a stiff DDT from Alex Brooks! The fans cheer loudly as Brooks makes the cover on his opponent!

One..

Two..

NO!

Just when it looked like it was all over, Stone gets his shoulder up off of the mat before the three count!

Brooks looks like he can’t believe that Stone managed to kick out as he rises up to his feet and nails his opponent with some big stomps and kicks. Brooks slowly pulls RJ Stone up to a standing position and places him in a front face lock ready for a suplex. Brooks begins to hit the suplex, but before he can hit it the move is reveresed with a snap suplex from Stone! Brooks slowly rises up to his feet, but as he is he is hit out of nowhere with the ‘Killshot’ from RJ Stone! The fans boo loudly as Stone makes the cover on Brooks.

The fans boo loudly as RJ Stone rises up to his feet and throws his hands in the air in victory! With his first win in a sVo ring, RJ Stone stands over the Unlikely Hero and taunts to the crowd.BACKSTAGE

Honor thy Father

The lights in the arena dim as a green spotlight shines on the entrance to the arena. “You’re Gonna Go Far, Kid” by the Offspring starts playing as three letters appear on the tron above the stage “A-M-P”. AMP walks out with a smug look on his face, dressed in a black suit with green tie and green pocket square, and stops at the top of the ramp. He looks out at the crowd, and laughs, before making his way down to the ring, pyro going off one either side of him as he does at about every five feet. At the last set of pyro he stops, and pulls a $100 bill out of his pocket, tossing it into the crowd to watch a free for all ensue for it. He laughs before walking down to the ring, and climbs the steps where he makes a motion like he’s brushing off his feet before climbing through the ropes into the ring.

AMP looks out at the crowd of people, many of whom aren’t aware of who he is. He motions for a microphone and is handed one through the ropes. He paces around for a little bit as the crowd buzzes about what is going on, before finally bringing the microphone to his lips.

AMP: You know, if you people don’t quiet down, and let a man speak, we’re not going to accomplish anything tonight.

The crowd boos to which AMP just smiles in the ring.

AMP: Alright, if that’s how you want to be, I’ll just talk over all of you. Now, I don’t know how many of you read the dirt sheets, or go out and scour Youtube for the latest shoot videos, but for those of you who don’t, let me tell you who I am. My name is Anthony, Mitchell, Pettis….yes, three names…all three names. But if that’s too complicated for you, I’ve also been know to go by the name, AMP.

The crowd boos in response to AMP’s introduction. He smiles and wags his finger.

AMP: Now, now, that’s no way to welcome someone such as myself to a company as…*ahem* ‘prestigious’ as sVo. Unless of course, you are the kind of people who read dirt sheets, and looked up my wikipedia page. Then I guess I can understand your feelings. I’m not exactly the most popular person where I come from. In fact, I’m probably not that popular out here in Las Vegas already. Hell, I know one person in this city that already hates me for sure. And I can’t help but notice that there are quiet a few light blue t-shirts out there in the crowd.

The crowd pops, and a noticeably female faction of the crowd begins to chant “SARA, SARA, SARA.”

AMP: Ah yes, you’re all so familiar with a certain fruit of my loins, by the name of Sara. Well let me tell all of you something. sVo is in dire straits if my DAUGHTER can show up in this company and so quickly become a force in the company. Oh I’ll admit, the kid has a ton of talent. But who does that surprise? But the fact that she was able to join this company, and take off so quick, with only half my genes? Can you imagine what a full blooded true ‘blue’ Pettis can do in this company?

Suddenly blue and white strobe lights flash in the arena as the opening rift to “Nobody but Me” by The Launderettes fills the arena. Sara steps out through the curtain, dressed in her casual attire with the sVo Tap-Out Title around her waist. Sara walks to the top of the ramp and puts her arms in the air and the crowd pops. She lowers her arms and begins walking down the ramp towards the ring, slapping hands with people on each side of the aisle. When she gets to the ring she rolls in under the bottom rope. In the ring we see AMP leaning against the ropes looking at his daughter. Sara stands up, and walks over to where AMP is standing as the strobe lights stop, and the music fades out. Sara has a microphone in her hand which she begins to speak into.

Sara Pettis: Who the hell do you think you are?

The crowd pops as AMP stands there, a smile on his face, reclining on the ropes nonchalantly.

AMP: You know who I am.

Sara Pettis: No, I want to know who you THINK you are. Do you think you have a right to just show up here? Do you think you have a right to just decide, ‘hey I want to work for sVo, I think I will’?

AMP stands up straight looking down at his daughter. He shakes his head.

AMP: What, do you think I have to ask your opinion or something to wrestle here? Do you think that I should have to ask for your blessing? Sorry kiddo, it doesn’t work that way.

Sara backs up a little bit, but keeps her eyes locked on AMP.

Sara Pettis: Why? Why sVo? You could go anywhere in the country, anywhere in the WORLD, and wrestle. Why did it have to be this company? Why did it have to be now? Don’t give me any bull*bleep* about you wanted to come to sVo for this reason, or that reason. You came here to antagonize me.

AMP laughs.

AMP: You really got a high opinion of yourself kid. Fact is, sVo is a healthy, well rounded company. Even with this little WWA thing going, I know a good thing when I see it kid. The only thing this company needs, is someone like me. When I was in that other company back in New York, I oversaw the biggest merger in the wrestling business. But of course you know that whole story. But right now sVo is becoming huge…bigger than it has ever been, so I’m here to offer my services to help lead it into the future. But even if the Company doesn’t want my help, I’ve been having an itch to get back into the ring. So why not do it in sVo?

Sara looks at AMP, a disgusted look on her face.

Sara Pettis: You want to wrestle again?

AMP: Yea, I do.

Sara Pettis: You really want to wrestle again?

AMP smiles, and laughs.

AMP: Whats so hard to believe about that? You know I started in this business in the ring.

Sara looks down at the sVo Tap-Out Championship around her waist.

Sara Pettis: Then how about, tonight, me…you…for this?

Sara drops the microphone and unstraps the Tap-Out Championship from around her waist. The crowd immediately goes nuts as she raises the Tap-Out Title into the air. AMP looks at the belt and raises his eyebrow.

AMP: Really?

Sara nods her head.

AMP: You v. Me…tonight….for that belt?

• without microphone* Sara Pettis: Yes, what’s so hard to understand about that?

AMP looks at the belt, and looks at his daughter. He then looks down at himself.

AMP: I’m sorry kid, I’m not exactly dressed for the occasion. I don’t even have my ring gear with me.

The crowd boos as Sara nods, and mouths ‘figures’.

AMP: Don’t get me wrong kid. I know at some point I’m going to have to face you. Considering you’re one of the best talents this company has going for it right now. But not tonight. No…it’s just going to have to wait…but uh…if you really, REALLY want to defend that thing…

Crowd starts going nuts as Sara doesn’t realize that Intrepid has come down to the ring as she was talking to AMP. Intrepid climbs up to the top rope behind Sara.

AMP: …I think that guy might want to try to take it.

AMP points behind Sara, who turns around, and gets hit with the ‘Bench Ruling’ by Intrepid! The crowd boos as AMP leaves his daughter in the ring, and Intrepid begins to assault Sara. AMP slowly walks backwards up the ramp as Intrepid locks Sara into a submission in the ring and a sVo official runs to the ring. AMP stops about halfway up the ramp and laughs as Sara struggles in to escape a leg sleeper in the ring. AMP turns away from the ring and begins to walk out of the arena again. He gets to the top of the ramp when suddenly “White and Nerdy” by Weird Al begins to play, and the crowd pops.

Sheldon Hossteder comes running out in his street clothes from the back. He goes to run passed AMP. But AMP steps in his way. He tries to step around AMP, but AMP sidesteps in front of him. Sheldon gets a frustrated look on his face and finally pushes AMP to the side physically and runs down the ramp. AMP laughs as he just walks out of the arena.

Once Sheldon gets to the ring, Intrepid lets go of Sara, and slides out the opposite side of the ring. Intrepid stands on the outside of the ring, looking up at Sheldon, and points at him, then back to himself. Sara meanwhile starts to lift herself up off the mat, and Sheldon attends to her, asking if she’s okay, while still locking eyes with Intrepid. Sara assures Sheldon she’s fine, as he helps her up off the mat. Intrepid walks back up the ramp, keeping his eyes on Sheldon in the ring, who he is booked to face later in the evening.BACKSTAGE

Talkin’ ‘Bout His Thingy

Our attention is turned to the titantron where it seems we’ve established a video connection to a hotel bedroom somewhere. Right away we’re treated to the view of a smiling Lady Val Yum who waves into the camera and winks. She turns and resumes her position next to the Las Vegas Vagabond. They waste no time in formally introducing themselves.

Vagabond: What up, Vegas?

Lady Val Yum: He’s The Las Vegas Vagabond…

Vagabond: An’ she’s the heart-stealin’ vixen of th’ ‘Shire. Lady Val – Yum… -my…

Lady Val Yum: He’s a major dork.

Vagabond: She puts up with me.

Lady Val Yum: What can I say, God has taught me to always be kind to the lesser fortunate.

Vagabond: Dang, girl! You gon’ poke an eye out with words like that.

Vagabond feins a wound to the abdomen.

Lady Val Yum: Anyway, we’re sorry we couldn’t be there LIVE at the Goodfellas Casino tonight.

Vagabond: It’s ’cause she takes too long gettin’ ready.

Lady Val Yum: One of us has to look good!

Vagabond: Jus’ sayin’, s’all.

Lady Val Yum: Go take your ‘just saying’ elsewhere, you butthead. We’re suppose to be addressing the fans right now.

Vagabond: Speakin’a dressin’… When you gon’ let me help you get undressed?

Lady Val Yum: When I’m in my late nineties and having mobility problems.

BURN!

Vagabond: Dayum!

Lady Val Yum: He gets me distracted ALL – the TIME.

Suddenly—randomly—Francis Gladstone steps on-screen.

Francis Gladstone: And I’m Francis Gladstone, the master of untimely entrances.

Lady Val Yum: That’s totally his thing,

Vagabond: Fo’ real.

Francis Gladstone: Thanks, guys, but I’ll take over from here. Listen up, S’Voh, right now we—

Vagabond: Wait a minute, you di’int jus’ say ‘S’Voh’, did ya’?

Interrupts Vagabond.

Francis Gladstone: I did, yeah. Why? What’s up?

Vagabond: Only you would come up with that.

Lady Val Yum: It’s also his thing.

Francis Gladstone: Enough, guys. I’m trying to tell the fans about you two throwing your names in the hat for the tag division titles, and to lay down an open challenge to any man even associated with the WWA.

Vagabond: —in any kinda’ match, against any single one of ’em. Betta’ yet, make that any TWO of ’em since they can’t do a damn thing by themselves.

They pretty much just said everything they were planning to talk about, so now they look at each other awkwardly for several moments.

Francis Gladstone: I guess that’s pretty much everything we had to say, right? I love summarizing speeches.

Lady Val Yum: Another one of his things.

Francis Gladstone: I’m going back to my room.

Lady Val Yum: Great job promoting us, Francis.

Francis Gladstone: I… try?

Vagabond: PEACE OUT, Vegas!

And we’re out. Back to the show!
SINGLE MATCH
Intrepid vs. Sheldon Hossteder

“White and Nerdy” by Weird AL starts playing in the arena. Sheldon rides out onto the stage on his segway and starts waving enthusiastically to the crowd.

Natasha Ortiz: The following match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, from Boston, Boston, Massachusetts, weighing in at 179 Lbs. Sheldon Hossteder!

As he makes his way to the ring he shakes hands and high fives everyone that he can. He gets in the ring and removes his shirt, bow tie and pants and begins pacing back and forth.

Natasha Ortiz: And his opponent, from Hot Springs, Arkansas, weighing in at 246 Lbs, Intrepid!

‘Must Kill’ by Cavalera Conspiracy begins playing and not even a second after that the entrance ramp begins flashing with a quick burst of white strobe light and Intrepid comes out quickly but stops on the entrance ramp as D.Filed follows closely behind. He stares out into the crowd grooving to the beat of the music, glaring at them through the eyes of his mask. He suddenly thrusts his arm into the air and screams.

Intrepid: HEATHENS!!!

As soon as the crowd reacts, Intrepid runs down the entire aisle all the way to the ring. He dives onto the ring apron and slides into the ring on his stomach. When He reaches the opposite side of the ring he pushes himself into a standing position. Before stepping out toward the referee Intrepid turns and kneels in the corner to pray. But as soon as he does, Sheldon comes up behind him and begins the attack with a dropkick to the back of the head. The referee calls for the bell as we see a look on Sheldon that no one has probably seen before. Intrepid pushes himself up off the mat, and turns around looking at Sheldon with a evil glare. Sheldon puts his fist up and screams for Intrepid to come at him.

Intrepid doesn’t hesitate and charges towards Sheldon, and hits him with a kick to the gut. Sheldon buckles over but keeps his eyes on Intrepid. Intrepid brings his hand back, and nails Sheldon in the chest with a huge knife edge chop. The crowd “WOOOOO”s in response to the sound of the smack, but Sheldon doesn’t flinch. Intrepid does it again, and again the crowd reacts, but Sheldon does flinch. Intrepid again kicks Sheldon in the gut, and this time follows it up with a right hook to Sheldon’s jaw that sends Sheldon tumbling into the ropes. But Sheldon bounces off and comes back with a forearm smash to Intrepid’s face that knocks Intrepid to the ground. The crowd begins to build as Intrepid is quick to get up, and Sheldon drop kicks Intrepid back down to the ground. Again Intrepid is quick to get up, and AGAIN he’s meet with a drop kick from Sheldon, each move getting a slightly bigger pop from the crowd. Sheldon lifts Intrepid up off the ground, and stands him up against the ropes. He lifts Intrepid’s shirt up to expose his chest, and hits Intrepid with his own knife edge chop. Intrepid reacts slightly, and Sheldon comes back again, with another knife edge chop to the same spot, again with each chop the crowd builds some more. Finally Sheldon goes to Irish Whip Intrepid across the ring, but Intrepid reverses it. Sheldon bounces off the ropes, and tries to come back with another flying forearm, but Intrepid ducks it, hooks Sheldon around the waist, and German Suplexes Hossteder, deflating the crowd noise that had built up from their exchanges.

Intrepid gets up and rubs his chest a little after the knife edge chops, and walks over to where Sheldon has now lifted himself to his hands and knees. Intrepid grabs Sheldon’s head and starts to lift him to his feet, but Sheldon grabs Intrepid’s arm and brings Intrepid down to the ground with a armbar. Sheldon immediately attempts to lock in a crossface along with the armbar, but Intrepid is able to slide on the mat over to the ropes before he can do so. The ref tells Sheldon to break the hold which he does reluctantly. Sheldon immediately stands up and backs up a little bit as Intrepid lifts himself to his feet, looking over at him. Sheldon has a mean look on his face still that is uncharacteristic to anything we’ve seen from him. Sheldon walks towards Intrepid, who tries to kick Sheldon again, but this time, Sheldon catches Intrepid’s leg. It looks like Sheldon is trying to leg drag Intrepid, but Intrepid instead brings his leg around and hits Sheldon with a huge Eziguri. Sheldon’s eyes roll back, and he stumbles a little before collapsing on the mat. Intrepid immediately covers.

2…

Kick out!

Sheldon gets his shoulder up, but doesn’t move much more. Intrepid nods his head, and begins to lift Sheldon up off the mat. He brings Sheldon to a standing position, and starts to walk him towards the corner, and leans him up against the turnbuckle. He kicks Sheldon in the mid-section a couple times, (insert ending here)

before locking him in a 3/4 Face lock. He brings Sheldon out a couple steps before he runs, and catapults himself off the ropes and turnbuckles and brings Sheldon down face first into the mat with “Double Jepordy”. Sheldon lays motionless face down on the mat, and Intrepid rolls him over for the pin.

The ref calls for the bell as Intrepid jumps up with his hands in the air. The ref goes to raise Intrepid’s hand as the winner but Intrepid brushes him away and screams that he’s a Heathen.
SINGLE MATCH
El Locon vs. Kash”Respect the Wind” by Eddie and Alex Van Halen hits the sound system and there are boos in the arena as the WWA star Kash slowly makes his way down the entrance ramp. Kash slides into the ring and removes his robe as he prepares for his first match in a sVo ring.

The fans in the arena begin to cheer as ‘Ugly’ by Mudvayne hits the sound system, and the entrance video of the American wannaba begins to play on the sVo-Tron! After a few seconds El Locon, wearing a straight jacket slowly walks down the entrance ramp escorted by a man wearing a white jacket and a net. The fans cheer as El Locon stares down at the ring, before climbing into the ring. The man escorting El Locon begins to take off his straight jacket, as the entrance music begins to fade out. With the straight jacket removed, El Locon stretches out in the corner of the ring and prepares for the match to get under way.

El Locon has a slight size advantage in this here match-up, but Kash doesn’t look the least bit concerned. It’s only a couple of inches; no biggie, right? He might be mistaken! El Locon lands the first attack! El Locon nails Kash with a Short-Arm Clothesline. Kash goes down HARD! If El Locon can follow that up with something big, there’s no chance in HELL Kash could gain enough momentum to control this match… wait, maybe I spoke too soon!

WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?! Kash just spit something… mist?! Kash just spat mist at El Locon! That’s gotta sting! Right in the eyes! How did the referee not see that?!?! Kash moves in to capitalize. Belly-to-Belly Suplex! El Locon goes down and the match swings in favor of Kash. The attacker readies himself behind El Locon, who is slowly able to make it back to his feet. Half-Nelson Suplex! The fans don’t like seeing this one bit. Not after Kash’s involvement with the recent WWA invasion, anyway. Kash goes for the turnbuckle, but Locon’s still mobile. He turns around in time to be met with another viciouis Clothesline.

Locon grabs Kash around the neck with both hands, lifting him straight back up to his feet. It looks like El Locon’s gonna go for a Powerbomb… but Kash reverses it, shoving Locon toward the turnbuckle. Kash charges in with a few right hands, then moves on to Shoulder Thrusts. El Locon tries to hammer his way out of the corner, but to no avail. Unsatisfied, Kash wraps his hands around El Locon’s throat and gives him a good rattle.

The referee orders Kash to remove the hold, which he does at the last possible second… and El Locon nails him with a knee to the abdomen! Kash “dances” around in pain… but is soon leveled by the big boot of El Locon. Is he gonna go with El Loco From Hell??!?! It looks like he wants to! Wait, Kash ducks! He turns. He charges! WITCHKRAFT! HOLY HELL! THAT PRACTICALLY TOOK EL LOCON RIGHT OUT HIS DAMN BOOTS! Will Kash make the cover? Yes! He falls across El Locon and the referee starts the count.

It’s all over and it is Kash of the WWA who picks up the victory over one of the sVo heroes of the Organised Chaos match, El Locon!BACKSTAGE

Taking A Stand

The scene opens up to the backstage area where sVo interviewer and correspondent Katie Smith. She is standing by with her microphone in hand, smiling for everyone in attendance at the Goodfellas Arena and everyone watching at home.

Katie Smith: Ladies and gentlemen allow me to introduce my guest at this time. He is one half of the NEW sVo Tag Team champions, and one of the last survivors of Organized Chaos IV along with Sara Pettis. I am of course talking about, “The Reflection of Perfection” Cody Williams.

The camera begins to pan outwards and it reveals Cody Williams to indeed be standing next to Katie in front of his locker room. He is wearing a black Giorgio Armani suit, a black vest, turqoise blue buttion up shirt, and a white tie. He grasps the tag team title that is draped across his shoulder as he turns his attention to Katie, his face a serious one.

Katie Smith: Last week on Vendetta you and your partner Nathan Paradine captured the tag team championship from Beautiful Shame in an epic battle.

Cody Williams: Paradine and I showed everyone that although we don’t have the luxury or the experience of the other great tag teams in the sVo that we are not only great singles wrestlers but a great tag team as well. And I think this championship belt right here proves it!

Katie Smith: Later that night, you and your partner stood on opposite sides of the ring during Organized Chaos IV. Did you know that he was representing the other team?

Cody Williams: No, I did not. He has his reasons for siding with the Company and his intentions are still unclear to me but as his tag team partner and friend, I have to respect his decision. He is at a crossroads in his career right now, and I think he needs this time to figure out what is best for him and what he wants to accomplish.

He takes the championship belt off of his shoulder and folds it up neatly, clutching it on the left side of his body.

Katie Smith: What are your thoughts on the recent invasion of the sVo by the WWA wrestlers?

“The Reflection of Perfection” chuckles.

Cody Williams: What those guys did last week at Vendetta was ruthless, despicable, and down right disgusting. They came into our company, our home and spit on everyone who has ever step foot in the sVo ring. I took part in Organized Chaos because I wanted to take a stand and stand up for what I believe in. But now, more than ever is the time for everyone in the sVo to take a stand and unite as one. I have my brethrens back 100%, and I know they will watch and guard mine just as well.

Katie Smith: Are we going to see Cody join forces with the rest of the roster and take a stand against the WWA?

Cody Williams: The boys in the back are more motivated and determined than ever. They want to show these WWA guys what we are made of and put a stop to this so-called invasion, and so do I. But don’t think for a second that Cody Williams has lost sight, or has lost focus. I have a bone to pick with someone, and that man is you Reaper. A few weeks ago you and Beautiful Shame attacked me, and left me bloody, battered, and bruised. Did you think I had forgotten? I want to get my hands on you and get my revenge for what you have done. That’s why I am challenging you to a match next week on Showdown.. For the Las Vegas championship!

Williams stares hard into the camera before turning his head to Katie Smith. He throws the tag team championship over his shoulder and turns around, entering his locker room. Katie stands there with the microphone watching Cody exit as the scene slowly fades to black.
SINGLE MATCH
Chris Bond vs. Bruce Alexander Pepin III

The lights in the Goodfella’s Casino Arena dim to an almost pitch-black level and soon enough a yellowish hue engulfs the ‘arena’. Chris Cornell’s “You Know My Name” blasts over the audio system as the fans are on their feet. Their favorite Industry frontman is on his way out! As he emerges from behind the curtain, there is a small burst of excitement from the crowd.

Natasha Ortiz: The following match is scheduled for one fall, introducing first, from San Antonio, Texas, at 239 Lbs, Chris Bond!

With a spotlight lighting his way, Bond makes his way down the aisle and towards the ring, even slapping a few hands of his fans on the way down.

Random Fan Interjection: I love you Chris!!!

Chris Bond: I love you too, random fan.

He replies with a smile. Soon enough he jogs up the stairs, and walks along the ring apron before wiping his feet. Chris Bond steps over the second rope and into the ring. The Hostility Legend and former sVo Tag-Team Champion walks to the center of the ring and stands there for a moment, as flashes go off through out the waves of fans. He circles the ring, arms outstretched, as the fans cheer loudly once again. Bond enjoys this, as his trademark smirk re-emerges on his face. Heading to his corner, Bond does a few stretches as he waits for the match to begin.

The point proves moot, as the song switches abruptly into “Holding Out For a Hero” by Emery. From backstage emerges the “Canadian Crusader” Bruce Pepin. Wearing a black vest and his customary Canadian trunks, he walks to the ring with a purpose.

Natasha Ortiz: And his opponent, from Montreal, Quebec, weighing 218 Lbs., Bruce Alexander Pepin the Third!

The mission: Curtis destruction. Leave the remains for someone from the late shift to clean up.

Where have all the good men gone and where are all the Gods?

Where’s the street wise Hercules to fight the rising odds?

Isn’t there a white knight upon a fiery steed?

Late at night I toss and I turn and I dream of what I need

Pepin hits the ring, stomping back and forth and signaling to the crowd.

Bruce gets into the ring, taking his vest of and launching it towards Bond. It lands on Bond’s face, causing him to angrily brush it off. Pepin chuckles and goes forward with his hand outstretched.

But Bond wants nothing to do with shaking Pepin’s hand and hits him with a hard kick to the mid-section, much to the delight of the crowd as the ref calls for the bell to start the match. Pepin doubles over and Bond begins his offensive assault on the Canadian Crusader. Bond lifts Pepin’s face, and hits him with a stiff jab to the jaw. Pepin stumbles backwards, ending up caught by the ropes. He leans against them, holding his jaw after the shot from Bond who walks over and grabs his arm. He whips Pepin across the ring, and runs behind him. As Pepin hits the ropes on the other side of the ring and turns, Bond is right there to clothesline him over the top rope and onto the arena floor. Pepin lands on the rubber in a heap, and Bond raises his arms in the middle of the ring as the crowd cheers him in his first match back. Pepin lifts himself up off the floor, and has a look of frustration as the crowd at ringside shout insults at him. Bond stands at the ropes as says something to Pepin and the ref pushes Bond back from the ropes towards the center of the ring. The ref then begins to count Pepin out.

2…

Pepin walks around the ring, keeping his eyes locked on Bond’s, who is standing in the center of the ring watching Pepin.

3…

4…

Pepin looks like he’s going to climb into the ring, and Bond charges towards him. Pepin jumps back from the apron. Bond yells at him to get into the ring.

5…

6…

Pepin again fakes like he’s going to climb into the ring, and again Bond runs at him causing him to back away from the apron. The crowd boos as Bond shrugs his shoulders in the ring to them. But as Bond is looking out at the crowd, Pepin takes the opportunity. He jumps up onto the ring apron, and grabs Bond’s head and drops his neck over the top rope. Bond bounces up from the ropes holding his neck and coughing, which allows Pepin to slide into the ring behind him. Pepin slides onto the mat behind Bond, and rolls him up with a surprise school boy pin. The ref counts 1…2…Bond kicks out at the last second from the surprise.

Pepin gets up from the mat holding the side of his head and screaming that it was a three count, but the ref assures him it was only 2. Pepin can’t believe it as he thought he had stolen the win. Bond is quick to his feet though, and he grabs Pepin’s shoulder and spins him around. Bond kicks Pepin in the mid-section again, and sets up the Canadian for a DDT, but at the last moment, Pepin reverses it, and hits Bond with a Northern Lights Suplex, bridging it for a pin. The ref counts 1…2…Bond kicks out with plenty of time before the 3. Pepin gets up this time quick, and goes on the offense. As soon as Bond lifts his head, he gets nailed with a baseball slide to the face from Pepin, knocking Bond flat on his back. Pepin drags Bond into position, and walks over to the turnbuckle, quickly climbing up to the top rope. He puts his arms out, closes his eyes, and falls forward looking to hit a diving headbutt. But as he does, Bond rolls out of range, and Pepin’s head bounces off the canvas, missing it’s mark. The crowd cheers as Bond gets up off the mat, and drops an elbow into the sternum of Pepin. He jumps back up again, and drops a second elbow into Pepin’s sternum, this time draping his arm across Pepin. The ref counts, 1…2…kick out! The crowd groans as Bond rolls his eyes. He starts to lift Pepin up off the ground, and leads him over to the ropes. He pushes Pepin against the ropes, and whips him across the ring. Pepin hits the ropes and bounces back, and Bond charges at Pepin. Pepin ducks a clothesline, and both men hit the ropes on the opposite side of the ring. They run towards each other, and Pepin nails Bond with a Super kick at the same time Bond nails Pepin with “Reality Check”! The crowd goes nuts as both men stand up straight, completely glazed over. Pepin collapses to the mat first. Bond staggers a few steps before collapsing to the mat himself. The ref begins to count both me out.

1…

2…

3…Before the ref can count further, Pepin rolls over onto his stomach, and manages to drape an arm over Chris Bond. The ref drops to the mat and begins to count, 1…2…3! The crowd lets out a chorus of boos as the ref lifts Pepin’s arm into the air as both men lay motionless on the mat.
TAG TEAM MATCH
Samuel Amos vs. Greg Segier

“Head like a hole” by NiN begins to play over the PA system and the crowd are already getting to their feet to show anger.

“Bow down before the one you serve!”

“You’re going to get what you deserve!”

From out the back, Greg emerges walking to the ring, he seems to take an “I don’t care” attitude towards the ring, ignoring every jibe and comment by fans nearby.

Natasha Ortiz: The following match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, from Saint Paul, Minnesota, weighing in at 232 Lbs. Greg Segier!

Walking up the steps, Greg casually ducks through the top and second rope, cocking his head from left to right, he enters the ring and lets the music speak for itself.

“Your Betrayal” by Bullet for my Valentine hits the sound system and the fans in the arena quickly begin to boo. After a few seconds red fireworks shoot up from the entrance stage as Samuel Amos walks out and taunts to the fans. Amos looks around at the crowd, before slowly making his way down the entrance ramp towards the ring.

Natasha Ortiz: And his opponent, from Quantico, Virginia, weighing in at 225 Lbs., Samuel Amos!

Amos ignores the outstretched hands of the fans as he climbs up onto the ring apron before turning to taunt the fans again. The fans continue to boo Amos as he steps into the ring by climbing through the ring ropes before preparing for the match to start in the corner of the ring.

The ref calls for the bell, and Segier and Amos look across the ring at one another. The walk towards the center of the ring, and tie up. Segier is the one who starts the match kneeing Amos in the midsection. Amos buckles, and Seiger brings his elbow down on Samuel’s back, knocking Amos down to his knees. Segier takes the opportunity to run into the ropes, bounce, and come back with a running knee to Amos’ face, knocking him flat out on the canvas. The crowd boos as the WWA superstar puts his hands in the air, encouraging the crowd to get louder. Meanwhile Amos has lifted himself up off the mat, and is holding his nose, which took the shot from Segier’s knee. Segier turns around and sees that Amos is too his feet, and walks towards him. He goes to kick Amos in the mid-section, but Amos catches his foot. Unfortunately for Amos though, Segier brings his other foot around and nails Samuel in the back of the head with a stiff eziguri kick. Amos falls forward, landing on his knees, and his neck resting across the second rope. Segier walks over, and puts his knee on the back of Amos’ neck, and pushes down on it while holding the ropes for leverage, choking Amos. The ref begins to count 1…2…3…and Segier breaks the hold. He then immediately does it again, and ref again counts 1…2…3…and Segier breaks it. The ref warns Segier that if he does it again, he will be disqualified so Segier backs off.

Amos begins to lift himself up with the ropes, and Segier waits for him to get fully standing. Segier runs at Amos once he’s too his feet, but Amos drops down and low bridges Segier with the rope, causing Segier to tumble out of the ring onto the arena floor. Amos stands in the ring taking a breather rubbing the back of his neck. Segier meanwhile lifts himself up off the arena floor, and climbs onto the ring apron. Amos walks over and grabs Segier and pulls him into the ring over the top rope, slamming Segier down on his back. Segier, bounces up, holding his back, and Amos takes him down to the ground with a Lou Thez Press. Amos keeps the momentum going lifting Segier up off the mat, and bringing him down across his knee with a side backbreaker. It is obvious now that Amos has zeroed in on Segier’s back, and rolls Segier over onto his stomach, and locks in a surfboard hold, placing his foot in the small of his back, and pulling back on Segier’s arms.

Segier strains in the hold, but doesn’t give. Amos pulls the reigns back some more, adding more pressure to the hold, but Segier doesn’t submit yet. After about a minute of applying the hold, Amos basically gives up the hold, but does so stomping the back of Segier’s head into the mat. Amos moves around to in front of Segier would be standing up, and waits for him to lift himself off the mat. As soon as Segier gets vertical, Amos nails Segier with “infAMOS”! Amos reaches back, and hooks the legs, keeping Segier’s shoulder’s on the mat with his knees, and the ref counts 1…2…3.

The bell rings, and the ref raises Amos hand in victory.BACKSTAGE

A Fractured Friendship

Nathan Paradine is shown sitting backstage in his locker room, taping his wrists with a determined focus. The “Australian Submission Machine” has had a lot on his mind lately, especially following Organized Chaos and his recent encounter with Roscoe Shame. Paradine finishes off his wrist and glances around, picking up his sVo Tag Team Championship belt and staring into the faceplate.

Nathan Paradine: “Fee fi fo fum, in my veins flows the blood of a champion.”

Paradine chuckles as the door to the locker room swings open. “The Reflection of Perfection” Cody Williams steps into view, his own sVo Tag team title slung over his shoulder. Paradine’s smile disappears instantly and he stands up, staring Cody down. Both men regard each other in silence for several moments until Cody eventually speaks.

Cody Williams: “I just came to wish you good luck in your match against Wildman tonight.”

Nathan Paradine: “Thanks.”

Paradine attempts to push his way past Cody, however his tag team partner grabs his shoulder and prevents him from moving.

Cody Williams: “We need to talk.”

Nathan Paradine: “I have a match I need to get ready for.”

Cody Williams: “This will only take a second.”

Paradine scowls in frustration and crosses his arms over his chest.

Nathan Paradine: “Go on, then.”

Cody Williams: “Why have you been avoiding me all week? You haven’t returned my calls, you’ve actively avoided me backstage and now you’ve requested your own locker room. Is this all because of what happened at Vendetta?”

Nathan Paradine: “I don’t want to discuss this right now-“

Cody Williams: “I do. You know it’s crazy how this all came about: You siding with the company and I on the other side with the Rebels at Organized Chaos. We had a purpose for doing it, we had a motive. The difference is, I wasn’t doing it for myself, I was doing it for the boys in the back and each and every one of these people sitting in the Goodfellas Arena tonight and watching at home!”

Nathan Paradine: “Spare me the moral lecture, please.”

Nathan again attempts to push past Cody, however Cody pushes him back against the locker with force.

Cody Williams: “Listen to me! I don’t know what’s gotten into you as of late. You and I used to see eye to eye, but now it has come to this. It’s like I don’t even know you anymore Paradine. As much as I don’t like what you are doing, I am your tag team partner and I respect your decisions. Not only as my tag team partner, but as my friend.”

Nathan Paradine: “Fine, whatever.”

Cody Williams: “And I’ll let you know now, that if I EVER disagree with something or I don’t like what I see, you WILL know.”

Nathan Paradine: “Are you done?”

Nathan once again attempts to push past Cody, and this time he doesn’t attempt to stop him. Cody glances after Paradine with disappointment in his face as the scene cuts back to the ring.
SINGLE MATCH
Night vs. TrendkillerA whisper… “I’m dreaming…” The distant chords of Deftones’ “Knife Party” cut through the PA as the arena lights cut completely. The Tron sparks to life as the words “I’m dreaming…” float onto it. As the song errupts the words are replaced by one.

A name. ” N I G H T ” An explosion of purple light as a man in a purple tights with black wrestling boots bursts onto the entrance ramp.

Night rises to his feet and gazes around the the Goodfellas Arena, before fixating his stare on the stage.

“The Great Southern Trendkill” by Pantera roars onto the P.A., as the crowd gets on their feet, blowing the roof away with their insane hatred for Trendkiller. The words THE GREAT SOUTHERN KILLER OF TRENDS appear on the Tron, quickly followed by TRENDKILLER and then, after a flash-by of an upper-body picture of the big, bald badass, the words HE WILL HURT YOU. The curtain hanging in front of the entrance splits and slides to the sides, revealing the silhouette of Trendkiller, the gargantuan man backlit by a flickering strobe. Trendkiller steps out of the strobe and is immediately lit by twin spotlights that wash over his frame, all other lights dimmed. Sneering, the big man raises his hands high above his head, causing the boos to multiply tenfold, the jeering crowd reaching a boiling point.

Ignoring the crowd, Trendkiller lowers his hands and walks down to the ring, clenching and unclenching his fists, sneering. He reaches ringside and steps onto the apron and then over the top-rope into the ring. The crowd still boos like mad, but Trendkiller is deaf to their jeers as he ascends the turnbuckles and raises one arm, staring blankly into the crowd for a moment, before dropping down and turning to the action at hand.

The former WWA Champion, Trendkiller, steps to the middle of the ring, never breaking his gaze away from Night. The former sVo Champion slowly makes his way forward, dramatically stepping in close to go face-to-chest with ‘The Great Southern Killer of Trends’. The crowd provides a low rumble as they await the battle that is about to take place.

The referee waves his arm, and as the bell rings, the crowd erupts.

The two combatants remain motionless for a moment, continuing to stare at one another. Even though he is forced to crank his neck back, the determination in Night’s eyes still burns bright. Suddenly, a quick quick right hook comes sailing at his head. Night back steps, avoiding the punch, and counters by running past Trendkiller and rebounding off the ropes with a flying forearm. The impact sets Trendkiller back a step or two, but he remains on his feet. He lunges forward with surprising speed, nearly capturing Night in his clutches, but the man from Kyoto, Japan manages to duck out of harms way, and counter with a series of stinging kicks to the legs and torso.

Trendkiller does his best to deflect as many kicks as he can, and swings wildly when there is a lull in the incoming fire. He clips Night with a backhanded swat, which sends Night stumbling into the ropes. Leaning against the ropes, he shakes out the cobwebs and turns to face Trendkiller once again. However, Trendkiller is showing off his quick pace again, and grabs Night by the throat, pushes him into the corner.

The referee steps in, ordering him to release his grip. The crowd rains down with boos as the big, bald badass refuses to let go. The referee warns him again, as Night gasps for air. Trendkiller just grits his teeth, and squeezes harder. The ref has no choice but to start a five count.

ONE… TWO… THREE… FOUR…

Naturally, Trendkiller lets go at four. Night slumps down in the corner, as the referee admonishes Trendkiller for his dirty tactics. Trendkiller just brushes him off, and leans over to pull Night to his feet. Desperately, Night launches the heel of his boot upwards, catching Trendkiller on the chin. The big man staggers back, holding his jaw, giving Night the opportunity he needs.

He launches himself towards Trendkiller, connecting with a diving shoulderblock. Trendkiller lurches back, but stays up. Night bounces off the far ropes, and tries again, this time bouncing Trendkiller off the ropes. Still, the big, bald badass stays up. Taking off with blistering speed, Night charges to the far ropes and rebounds with great velocity. However, Trendkiller is ready for him, and swings for the fences with a big clothesline. Night ducks under the clothesline, and then acrobatically jumps up to the top rope, launching himself backwards and twisting in the air to connect with a cross body splash. Trendkiller falls backwards with the force of the impact, and crashes to the canvas. The crowd roars with applause, but it is short lived.

Trendkiller rolls back through Night’s beautiful splash, and somehow ends up back on his feet. He has Night held tightly across his chest. Night tries to fight out of his predicament, but Trendkiller simply absorbs the elbow shots before leaning back, and flipping Night through the air with a Fallaway Slam.

However, just as impressive as Trendkiller’s counter was just a moment ago, Night shows his amazing skills and twists in mid air to land on his feet. He hits the ropes back-first, and is propelled forward. He leaps into the air and grabs Trendkiller by the back the head, slamming him face-first to the mat with a bulldog. The crowd is on its feet, as Night starts a run once again.

Night stomps away at Trendkiller’s knees, trying to cut down on the height advantage. Trendkiller starts to push his way to his feet, with Night pounding away with kicks all over his body. TK gets to one knee, and Night latches onto his knee. He tries for a snap DDT, but Trendkiller fights to keeps Night from falling backwards. He shoves Night away, giving the man from Kyoto enough room to get a running start. He jumps up, and connects with a running leg lariat that puts Trendkiller on his back. Night quickly crawls back to Trendkiller’s body and makes a cover.

ONE…

TWO…

THR… NO!!!

Trendkiller kicks out before the three count can be made.

Night doesn’t let up, and quickly transitions out of the pin and into a kneebar with body scissors. Trendkiller moans in pain as he scratches and claws to grab a hold of Night. The referee is right there to check for a submission, but ‘The Great Southern Killer of Trends’ downright refuses to give up.

Night wrenches the submission lock in tighter, putting tremendous pressure on TK’s knee. He is bound and determined to either win this match, or at least make sure Trendkiller never walks again. Trendkiller finally starts putting his muscles into action, and pulls himself towards the ropes. The referee stays with the action every inch of the way, and as soon as Trendkiller touches the ropes, he demands that Night releases the kneebar. Night obliges, and is quick to get to his feet.

Trendkiller is already pulling himself to his feet with the help of the ring ropes, so Night has to act fast. He charges at Trendkiller, jumping up to connect with a Codebreaker. However, Trendkiller catches him, and tosses Night out over the top rope. Night hits his back off the ring apron, and falls to the floor at ringside.

Trendkiller looks down out of the ring, watching as Night writhes around in pain. The referee sticks his head out through the ropes to check on Night, and seeing that he is down and out, he begins to count him out.

ONE… TWO… THREE… FOUR… FIVE… SIX… SEVEN…

Suddenly, Trendkiller steps out through the ropes and drops down to the floor beside Night. Slowly, he pulls Night up to his feet and slides him back into the ring. The big man climbs back up to the ring apron, but is caught off guard by Night, who sprints to the far ropes, and comes back with a knee lift. However, even more surprising is Trendkiller using the top rope to propel himself into the ring, and catch Night with a big Spear.

Night is nearly folded in half by the heat seeking missile that is Trendkiller. With a sick smile on his face, as he watches Night writhe in pain once again, Trendkiller relishes in the fact that the end may be near. Grabbing Night by the hair, he pulls him up to a prone position, and sets him up for something devastating.

The crowd is booing intensely, but it only serves to fuel the big man. He lifts Night up onto his shoulders, and then up above them, before dropping him to the canvas with the sit-out Last Ride Powerbomb he calls “Southern Comfort”. Night’s head bounces off the mat, knocking him senseless. Trendkiller holds on for the pin, and the referee slides into position.

ONE…

TWO…

THREE!!!

Trendkiller tosses Night aside as “The Great Southern Trendkill” begins to play over the PA system. He quickly rises to his feet, and ignores the referee, who tries to raise his arm in victory. Trendkiller just stands over his fallen opponent with nothing but disappointment and disdain in his eyes. The WWA invaders just made another, big statement.
SINGLE MATCH
Jay Wildman vs. Nathan Paradine

“Sorry, You’re Not A Winner” by Enter Shikari blasts around the arena as Nathan Paradine appears at the top of the ramp, his arms crossed over his chest and his head bowed. He glances up, the lights reflecting off his sunglasses and he points out towards the crowd, oblivious to their boos. He marches down to the ring and slides in underneath the bottom rope, climbing to his feet and raising an arm up into the air as the music dies away.

“End of Line” by Daft Punk plays over the PA system as the house lights alternate from green to black lighting and back again. After a few moments of playing, the house lights go out completely for a few moments before they flare to life again with Jay Wildman standing in the center of the ring, his hand holding the sVo World Championship up in the air in defiance. He walks over to the corner, steps up to the second belt buckle and stares out into the crowd before hopping down, handing off the title belt to the referee and preparing himself for the match at hand.

Wildman and Paradine take a cautious approach to the start of the match, circling around each other before tying up in the middle of the ring and trying to push each other back. Eventually, it is Paradine who uses his weight advantage to push Wildman back into the corner, breaking the tie up only for Paradine to drive his knee into Wildman’s stomach! Paradine pushes Wildman back up, only for the World Heavyweight Champion to deliver a flurry of quick punches which brings a reaction from the crowd. Wildman knocks Paradine down to the mat before dropping his knee down onto the head of his opponent, only for Paradine to sit up clutching his forehead. Wildman goes back on the attack, hitting a quick suplex before going for the cover!

One!

Two!

Kickout!

Paradine manages to get his shoulder up at the two count, causing Wildman to grab the reigning sVo Tag Team Champion and attempt to pull him to his feet only to eat a vicious forearm shot to his face! Paradine whips Wildman into the ropes and lifts his leg, hitting a HUGE big boot as Wildman rebounds! Paradine drops down and applies an armlock, driving his elbow down onto Wildman’s shoulder several times before wrenching his arm, eliciting a scream of pain from the champ. Wildman manages to get his foot up onto the rope and secures his release from the hold. Paradine backs away into the corner, kneeling down and waiting for Wildman to climb to his feet. As Wildman stands upright Paradine charges forwards however Wildman steps out of the way leaving Paradine to crash into the corner! Wildman immediately goes on the offensive, jumping onto the second rope and hitting a huge springboard DDT as Paradine staggers to his feet! The crowd cheers for Wildman as he climbs to his feet and rolls his injured shoulder. He stomps down on Paradine before climbing up onto the top rope, slapping his elbow. He times the move perfectly, flying through the air just as Paradine stands up… only for Paradine to duck underneath the flying elbow attempt!

Before Wildman has to chance to turn around Paradine grabs both of his arms, applying a full nelson lock and transitioning it into a painful looking facebuster. Paradine then grabs Wildman’s right leg, attempting to apply a single leg Boston crab however Wildman flails and manages to kick Paradine away. Paradine again moves forward and kicks at Wildman, sending him down onto the mat again. Paradine continues to stomp down on Wildman’s shoulder trying to take his right arm out of commission. Paradine lifts Wildman to his feet and attempts to connect with a sudden lariat, but Wildman ducks underneath the arm and hits a German suplex! Wildman sits up, clutching at his arm, before standing up and staring down his opponent. Paradine stirs and slowly rises, turning around a taking the full force of a Jay Wildman Superkick before Wildman drops and attempts another cover! The sVo Champion just hit his finishing move, could this match be over?

One!

Two!

NO!

Paradine throws his shoulder up just as the referee drops his arm for the three count! Wildman slaps the mat and delivers several strong strikes to Paradine’s face before pulling him to his feet. Wildman throws Paradine into the ropes and hip tosses him on the rebound, causing Paradine to tumble out of the ring to the outside. Paradine clutches the guardrail and pulls himself to his feet, rubbing his jaw and staring up at Wildman with distaste. Paradine climbs back into the ring and Wildman prepares for the attack, both men hunching over low to the ground and before charging forwards and locking up.

As Paradine and Wildman tie up in the middle of the ring there is a cheer from the crowd as a masked Grimnir appears on the top of the entrance ramp! Grimnir watches the action as Paradine again pushes Wildman onto the ropes, driving his knee over and over again into Wildman’s torso trying to get an advantage. Wildman kneels over and Paradine throws him back into the centre of the ring, lining him up and hitting a running bulldog. Paradine rolls Wildman over and hooks his leg, only for Wildman to kickout after a single count! Paradine shakes his head in disbelief as both men stand up, trading a series of punches. Paradine blocks a blow from Wildman and hits a clothesline, knocking Wildman back down onto the mat. Paradine drops and and begins to work over Wildman’s shoulder yet again, akin to a wild animal mauling its prey. Wildman manages to get up onto his knees but Paradine forces him back down, viciously driving his elbow into Wildman’s kidney.
