The Pre show
SOFIA PETROVA: “Good evening, Europe! I am Sofia Petrova, and I am coming to you live from the heart of London at the Stratford Arena. We are still catching our breath after that explosive broadcast of DW Clash, but the night is far from over. In fact, for seven of the toughest athletes on this continent, the true test of endurance is only just beginning.
Last year, Spain’s Adam Garcia shocked the world to claim the crown. But tonight, the slate is wiped clean. This is the 2025 European Wrestling League, and the rules are as simple as they are brutal: seven competitors, three nights, and every man must fight twice per night.
In this league, there is nowhere to hide. One win builds momentum; one loss can start a landslide. Let’s take a look at the gauntlet that awaits our competitors in Show 1!”
The Match Card: Show 1
| Match | The Confrontation | The Stakes |
| 1 | Mateusz Nowak (POL) vs. Alexandre Rochefort (FRA) | The opening exchange between Polish power and French finesse. |
| 2 | Alfred Anderson (SWE) vs. Wolfgang Schneider (GER) | The Swedish technician meets the current German Heavyweight Champion from Berlin Apex. |
| 3 | Stijn De Raaf (HOL) vs. Oliver Harrington (ENG) | A “DW Derby” as the Dutch standout faces the home-crowd favorite and DW UK Champion. |
| 4 | Liam O’Donovan (IRE) vs. Mateusz Nowak (POL) | O’Donovan makes his debut against a Nowak who will already be feeling the burn. |
| 5 | Alexandre Rochefort (FRA) vs. Alfred Anderson (SWE) | Two master tacticians fighting through the fatigue of their second bout. |
| 6 | Wolfgang Schneider (GER) vs. Stijn De Raaf (HOL) | A clash of titans between Berlin’s finest and the DW-signed Dutchman. |
| 7 | Oliver Harrington (ENG) vs. Liam O’Donovan (IRE) | The pride of England vs. the fire of Ireland to close out a grueling first night. |
Sofia’s “Ones to Watch“
“Keep your eyes on the DW UK Champion, Oliver Harrington. He has the Stratford crowd behind him tonight, but main-eventing against Liam O’Donovan after already surviving a war with Stijn De Raaf? That is a mountain few men can climb.
And do not overlook Wolfgang Schneider. He brings the prestige of Berlin Apex Wrestling into this ring. If he can dismantle Anderson and De Raaf in the same evening, he puts the entire league on notice.”
SOFIA PETROVA: “The lights are dimming, the Sanctioned Violence Network cameras are rolling, and the fans are on their feet. Seven men enter, but only one can lead the table by the end of the night. It’s time for the European Wrestling League!”
The show
The Post show
The lights are still pulsing here in the Stratford Arena, but the ring canvas is stained with the sweat of seven of Europe’s most elite warriors. The first night of the 2025 European Wrestling League has concluded, and the leaderboard is already telling a fascinating story of momentum and exhaustion.
SOFIA PETROVA: “What a night! My name is Sofia Petrova, and I am standing ringside where the echoes of the London crowd are still ringing in my ears. We promised you a test of endurance, and these athletes delivered. Tonight, we saw technical masterpieces, bruising brawls, and the sheer will to compete twice in a single evening.
England’s own Oliver Harrington and France’s Alexandre Rochefort have set the gold standard tonight, both walking away unscathed with two wins apiece. But for others, like Poland’s Mateusz Nowak and Sweden’s Alfred Anderson, the road to the trophy has become a very steep climb.”

Sofia’s Analysis: Looking Ahead to Night 2
SOFIA PETROVA: “The story of the night is undoubtedly Oliver Harrington. The DW UK Champion defended his home turf with two 4-star performances, ending the night with a massive victory over Liam O’Donovan. However, hot on his heels is Alexandre Rochefort, who looked clinical and fresh even in his second bout.
But don’t count out the ‘1-1’ block. Stijn De Raaf recovered from an early loss to Harrington to hand the German Champion, Wolfgang Schneider, a stinging defeat.
Tomorrow, the pressure intensifies. Here is what we have in store for Night 2:”
- The Battle of the Bottom: Nowak vs. Anderson—someone must get their first points.
- The Clash of Style: Rochefort (2-0) looks to keep his streak alive against the powerhouse Schneider.
- The Main Event: A high-stakes rematch of sorts as Liam O’Donovan faces the technical wizardry of Alexandre Rochefort.
SOFIA PETROVA: “Can Harrington maintain his lead in front of his countrymen, or will the fatigue of Night 1 catch up to him when he faces the desperate Mateusz Nowak? Join us tomorrow, live on the Sanctioned Violence Network, to find out. Goodnight from London!”
