DW Clash 38
The Stratford Arena, London, England
29th July 2024

The screen fades in from black, revealing a packed Stratford Arena in East London. The crowd is buzzing with excitement, their energy palpable as they await the start of DW Clash 38, the go-home show before the highly anticipated “Original Sinners” PPV next week. The camera pans over the sea of enthusiastic fans, capturing their signs and cheers, before settling on the commentary table where Steve Pringle and Eddie Bates are ready to kick off the show.

Steve Pringle: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to DW Clash 38, coming to you live from the Stratford Arena here in London! I’m Steve Pringle, alongside my broadcast partner, Eddie Bates, and tonight, we’ve got an explosive show lined up as we head into the “Original Sinners” PPV next week!

Eddie Bates: That’s right, Steve! The stakes couldn’t be higher tonight, and what a main event we have in store. DW Heavyweight Champion Cedric Thornfield will be in action against former Champion Jean Louis Duval. With Thornfield set to defend his title against “The Viking” Bjorn Asulf at “Original Sinners,” you know he’s looking to send a message tonight!

Steve Pringle: Absolutely, Eddie. Thornfield has been a fighting champion, but Duval is no pushover. A win tonight could give Thornfield the momentum he needs, but Duval will be looking to prove that he deserves to be back in the title picture. This is going to be one for the ages!

Eddie Bates: And that’s not all, Steve. With just one week to go before “Original Sinners,” we have a night full of high-stakes matches and intense rivalries. Jonathan Sullivan is here, and after his dominant performance last week, he’s got his sights set on the DW UK Champion, Oliver Harrington. Plus, British Hospitality will be looking for revenge against Angelo Anderson, and so much more!

Steve Pringle: The tension in the locker room is at an all-time high. Every superstar is looking to make their mark before the PPV. Let’s not waste any more time – it’s going to be an unforgettable night here at DW Clash 38!

The camera cuts to the entrance ramp as the pyro goes off, signaling the official start of the show. The crowd erupts in cheers as the energy in the Stratford Arena reaches a fever pitch, setting the stage for an action-packed night in DW.

For France!

The scene cuts to the dimly lit locker room of “Legion,” where Jean Louis Duval, Royce Lacroix, and HyperNova are gathered. The room is adorned with French flags and memorabilia, emphasizing their pride in their heritage. Duval stands at the center, exuding confidence and authority as he addresses his allies.

HyperNova nods, looking determined but with a hint of uncertainty in his eyes. Royce Lacroix stands by, his massive frame adding an intimidating presence to the room.

HyperNova clenches his fists, steeling himself for the upcoming challenge. Duval turns his attention to Royce Lacroix, who stands stoically by his side.

Jean Louis Duval: [in French] Royce, sois prêt. Nous devons être unis et forts. Ce soir, je vais également montrer à tout le monde pourquoi je mérite de redevenir le champion poids lourd de la DW. Cedric Thornfield ne sait pas ce qui l’attend.

Duval’s eyes gleam with determination as he speaks, his voice carrying the weight of his ambition. He then switches to English, emphasizing the gravity of their mission.

Jean Louis Duval: Tonight, we prove to everyone that Legion is the most dominant force in DW. HyperNova, you will crush Blackhart. Royce, you will be ready to support us. And I will defeat Thornfield, reminding everyone why I deserve to be the DW Heavyweight Champion again.

HyperNova and Royce Lacroix both nod in agreement, their confidence bolstered by Duval’s words. The camera zooms in on Duval’s intense expression as he continues.

Jean Louis Duval: [in French] Pour la gloire de la France et de la Légion!

With that, Duval places a reassuring hand on HyperNova’s shoulder before leading his team out of the locker room, ready to make their mark on the night’s events. The scene fades out, leaving the audience eagerly anticipating the upcoming matches.

The Challenge

The scene transitions to the ring, where Angus Blackhart stands victorious over HyperNova. The Scottish brute, with his imposing frame and intense presence, glares down at the fallen Frenchman. The crowd roars in approval as Blackhart signals for a microphone. He takes a moment to catch his breath, then raises the mic to his lips, his voice echoing through the Stratford Arena.

Angus Blackhart: Listen up, ye lot! [he roars, his thick Scottish accent resonating through the arena] I told ye all that I was back, and I meant every word! HyperNova, ye were just the first to feel the wrath of Blackhart!

The crowd cheers louder, feeding off Blackhart’s intensity. He paces the ring, his eyes locked on the entrance ramp.

Angus Blackhart: Jean Louis Duval, ye think ye can just waltz around here, runnin’ yer mouth about bein’ the best? Ye got yer little Legion, but tonight, I showed what real power looks like!

The audience erupts in chants of “Blackhart! Blackhart!” as the Scottish brute continues.

Angus Blackhart: So here’s the deal, Duval. Next week, at Original Sinners, I’m challengin’ ye to a match! Face me one-on-one, if ye have the guts! Let’s see if ye can back up all that talk!

The camera cuts to the entrance ramp, where Jean Louis Duval appears, looking furious. Royce Lacroix and a groggy HyperNova join him, supporting each other. Duval, holding a microphone of his own, glares at Blackhart from the top of the ramp.

Jean Louis Duval: [in French] Comment oses-tu! [switching to English] Blackhart, you have no idea what you are asking for. But if you want to be embarrassed at the Original Sinners PPV, then I accept!

The crowd pops as the challenge is officially accepted. Blackhart smirks, raising his hand in a mocking salute to Duval.

Angus Blackhart: Good! See ye next week, Duval. I’ll be waitin’ to tear ye apart!

With that, Blackhart drops the microphone, his music hitting as he poses for the cheering crowd. Duval seethes with anger, pointing at Blackhart and shouting in French, while Lacroix and HyperNova look on with a mix of frustration and determination. The tension between the two rivals is palpable as the camera fades to black, leaving the fans eagerly anticipating their clash at Original Sinners.

No Concerns

The camera cuts to the backstage interview area, where William Smith stands ready with a microphone. Beside him is the current DW UK Champion, “the Essex Pretty Boy” Oliver Harrington. The champion is dressed in his trademark flashy attire, the UK Championship belt gleaming over his shoulder.

William Smith: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, the current DW UK Champion, Oliver Harrington. Oliver, tonight you face your old rival, Maxwell Blackwell. How are you feeling ahead of this match, and what are your thoughts on your upcoming title defense against Jonathan Sullivan at the Original Sinners PPV next week?

Harrington adjusts the championship belt on his shoulder, a confident yet slightly forced smile on his face.

Oliver Harrington: William, let me make one thing perfectly clear. I am the undefeated, undisputed UK Champion for a reason. Maxwell Blackwell is nothing but an old chapter in my story, a footnote in the glorious reign of the Essex Pretty Boy. Tonight, I’ll show everyone why I am the best this division has ever seen.

Harrington pauses, glancing at his reflection in the belt before continuing.

Oliver Harrington: As for Jonathan Sullivan… [he scoffs]… I’m not worried. Sure, he’s been impressive, but he’s just another challenger who will fall at my feet. I’m the champ for a reason, and nothing is going to change that. Sullivan may think he’s got what it takes, but he’ll find out next week that he’s in way over his head.

Just then, Jonathan Sullivan walks past in the background, a confident smirk on his face. He catches Harrington’s eye and gives a subtle nod, clearly getting under the champion’s skin. Harrington’s confident facade falters slightly, a flicker of worry crossing his face before he quickly composes himself.

William Smith: [noticing the interaction] Oliver, it seems Jonathan Sullivan is definitely confident about his chances. Any final words for him as you prepare for your match tonight?

Oliver Harrington: [forcing a grin] Let him be confident, William. Confidence is the first step to a downfall. Next week at Original Sinners, Sullivan will learn the hard way that there’s a reason I am the Essex Pretty Boy, and why this championship isn’t going anywhere.

Harrington adjusts the belt on his shoulder once more, the forced confidence in his voice not entirely hiding the unease caused by Sullivan’s presence. The camera focuses on Harrington’s determined expression before fading out, leaving the audience anticipating both his match tonight and the upcoming clash at the PPV.

Challenges

The scene cuts to the backstage interview area where William Smith is standing with a microphone. Beside him is the enigmatic DW Heavyweight Champion, “the Raven King” Cedric Thornfield. The champion, with his dark, brooding presence, exudes an air of confidence and mystery.

William Smith: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guest at this time, the DW Heavyweight Champion, “the Raven King” Cedric Thornfield. Cedric, tonight you face former champion Jean Louis Duval in the main event, and next week at the Original Sinners PPV, you will defend your title against “the Viking” Bjorn Asulf. How are you feeling about these upcoming challenges?

Thornfield looks at Smith with a calm intensity, his eyes reflecting the weight of his reign and the battles ahead.

Cedric Thornfield: [in a measured tone] William, being the Raven King means I am no stranger to challenges. Duval, he may be a former champion, but tonight, he will understand why he is no longer at the top. His time has passed, and I will remind him and everyone watching that the Raven King reigns supreme.

Thornfield pauses, a slight smirk appearing on his face as he continues.

Cedric Thornfield: As for Bjorn Asulf, the so-called Viking… [he chuckles softly]… I respect his strength and his desire. But respect doesn’t equate to fear. Next week at Original Sinners, he will face a champion who has walked through fire and emerged stronger. Asulf thinks he can storm my castle, but he will find that the walls are higher and the defenses stronger than he ever imagined.

Thornfield’s eyes narrow slightly, his voice growing even more resolute.

Cedric Thornfield: I’ve faced the best this industry has to offer, and I’ve stood tall each and every time. Duval tonight, Asulf next week, it makes no difference. They will both fall, and they will both know that the Raven King is not a title, it is a destiny.

William Smith nods, clearly taken by Thornfield’s unwavering confidence.

William Smith: Cedric, you’ve always been a man of few words, but those words carry a lot of weight. Any final message for Duval and Asulf as we head into these critical matches?

Cedric Thornfield: [locking eyes with the camera] Duval, Asulf, heed my words. You are stepping into my kingdom. Tonight and next week, you will find out why I am the Raven King. Prepare for a battle, but understand this – I will not falter, I will not yield, and I will not lose.

Thornfield adjusts his championship belt on his shoulder, his gaze never leaving the camera as the scene fades out, leaving an aura of anticipation and tension for the battles ahead.

Six Man Tag Team Match
Angelo Anderson & The Ultras vs. British Hospitality

Original Sinners

The ring is filled with chaos as the bell rings, signaling the end of the six-man tag team match. Angelo Anderson and the Ultras stand victorious, having defeated British Hospitality. The crowd’s boos echo through the Stratford Arena as Anderson, Axel Schmidt, and Jürgen Köhler look at their fallen opponents with malicious glee. Anderson, Schmidt, and Köhler exchange nods before launching a ruthless post-match assault on Kyle McRae, Alexander Hate, and Harry Black.

Steve Pringle: Oh, come on! This is uncalled for! The match is over!

Eddie Bates: Anderson and the Ultras are sending a message, Steve. They want to make sure their opponents remember this beating heading into Original Sinners.

The Ultras lay into Hate and Black with brutal kicks, while Anderson drags McRae to the center of the ring, continuing his assault with vicious stomps. The crowd’s boos grow louder, but the onslaught continues unabated. Suddenly, the crowd’s mood shifts as “Rule, Britannia!” blares through the speakers. Steve Pringle: Here come the Tag Team Champions! The Sovereign are here to even the odds!

Eddie Bates: This could get even more chaotic, Steve!

Noble and Sparks waste no time, laying into Schmidt and Köhler with a series of punches and kicks. Anderson, caught off guard, releases McRae and turns to face the new threat. Sparks hits Köhler with a dropkick, sending him through the ropes to the outside. Noble lands a powerful clothesline on Schmidt, knocking him out of the ring as well.

Steve Pringle: The Sovereign are clearing house! The crowd is loving this!

Eddie Bates: This is payback for the chaos Anderson and the Ultras have caused!

Anderson, seeing his partners taken out, tries to make a hasty retreat, but Noble and Sparks block his path. Noble grabs Anderson and throws him into a corner, where Sparks connects with a running knee strike. The crowd erupts in cheers as the Tag Team Champions stand tall, helping British Hospitality back to their feet.

Steve Pringle: What a show of solidarity from the Tag Team Champions! The Sovereign have made a statement tonight!

Eddie Bates: Anderson and the Ultras thought they could run roughshod over everyone, but The Sovereign have shown that they won’t stand for it!

Ben Noble grabs a microphone, panting slightly but full of determination.

Ben Noble: Angelo Anderson, Ultras, you thought you could just come in here and tear this place apart? Think again! Next week at Original Sinners, we’re not just fighting to retain these titles – we’re fighting to put you in your place!

Kandi Sparks takes the mic, pointing at Anderson.

Kandi Sparks: And Anderson, you better hope McRae leaves something for us, because after next week, everyone will know why we are the champions!

The crowd roars in approval as Anderson and the Ultras regroup on the outside, glaring up at the ring where The Sovereign and British Hospitality stand united. The tension is palpable, setting the stage for an explosive showdown at the Original Sinners PPV.

Steve Pringle: What a way to end the night! The Sovereign standing strong with British Hospitality! The road to Original Sinners just got even more intense!

Eddie Bates: Next week is going to be explosive, Steve! I can’t wait to see what happens!

The camera focuses on the defiant faces of Noble, Sparks, McRae, Hate, and Black as the screen fades to black, leaving the audience buzzing with anticipation for the upcoming PPV.
