sVo Uprising #012
Goodfellas Casino Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada
6th March 2022
The entrance video package for Uprising begins, accompanied by the theme song of ‘Uprising’ by Artificial Intelligence as highlights of past action from 2013 to present day are sped up, showing the likes of Bobby Dean, Roscoe Shame, Night, Jay Wildman, Cody Williams & Nathan Paradine. As the video package finally comes to an end with an extended look at the ‘Uprising’ logo, the camera cuts to an exterior shot of the Goodfellas Casino Arena, in the heart of the Las Vegas strip, before cutting to a live shot of inside the arena.
The camera pans around the sold-out crowd, most of them on their feet and screaming loudly whilst trying to get their homemade sign shown in front of the camera. The cameras finally head over to the commentary table, where Julian Fiasco and Jeremiah Sloan welcome the fans watching on TV to the broadcast and begin to break down some of the action that will take place on tonight’s show!

Back to the Grind
The cameras head backstage to the interview area, where roving reporter Katie Smith is standing by, as always with a microphone in hand. Alongside Smith is a disappointed looking Jacob Izaz.
Katie Smith: “Ladies and gentlemen welcome to Uprising! Now I am joined here tonight with ‘the Philly Flash’ Jacob Izaz! Jacob, thanks for joining me. Now last week you came up short in your Las Vegas Championship match against Kenneth D Williams. What are your reflections on Countdown to Violence?”
Izaz looks down at the floor and shakes his head, before looking back at Katie and answering the questions.
Jacob Izaz: “Well Katie, I promised everyone that I was going to win the Las Vegas Championship at the PPV…. And I didn’t get the job done.”
Izaz again shakes his head.
Jacob Izaz: “No complaints from me, Williams was the better man on the night and deserved his win. Now it’s time for me to regroup, improve and come back even stronger!”
Izaz pumps a fist towards the camera as the fans watching on the giant screen in the arena cheer.
Katie Smith: “Well you have a chance to get back to winning ways as you have a match tonight. What are your thoughts on your opponent tonight?”
Jacob Izaz: “Well… Clam Idia…. He is an interesting cat…. That’s for sure….. Now behind the ridiculous I think there might be a real threat there. Sure he hasn’t won a match yet in the sVo, but he pushed Williams pretty close a few weeks ago. Unfortunately for him he is meeting me at my most motivated! Tonight I put the PPV’s disappointment behind me and build towards another shot… another shot that I will not lose!”
Izaz pumps his fist towards the camera before making his way out of the backstage area.
Katie Smith: “Well there you have it folks, and that match is up NEXT!”
The camera cuts back to ringside.

Under New Management
The cameras head backstage to the office of the sVo Owner Jon Page, where the boss is standing by with the roulette wheel of matches, ready for the stipulations to be picked for the first ever title defence by Absolute Zero after his shock with last Sunday!
The giant oversized wheel is in place, the show girls are standing by, the only thing missing is the Champion himself. Page looks visibly annoyed as he shoots his cuffs and looks at his wrist watch, only for the door to open almost on queue and for the Champion to strut in! Zero looks very pleased with himself as he carries the sVo Roulette Championship belt over his shoulder, the first gold he has won in his sVo career.
Jon Page: “Come on AZ, let’s get this thing spun and the match type decided, I have to pay these girls by the hour!”
Page sweeps his hand in the direction of the scantily clad showgirls, as Absolute Zero looks at the oversized roulette wheel in disgust.
Absolute Zero: “Seriously who came up with some of these matches? Exploding barb wire death match….. inferno match?”
Zero shakes his head.
Absolute Zero: “Sorry Page, you might have got that big idiot August to sign up to this but no way am I having any part of this!”
Page looks to be growing more and more impatient.
Jon Page: “Well hand that belt back then I will find a new champion, you knew the rules when you signed up!”
Zero holds a finger up to pause the boss, before he reopens the door and ushers someone else into the office, that other person being the suited figure of V.I.P!
V.I.P lowers her glasses and takes one look at the roulette wheel before shaking her head.
VIP: “No, no, no, this will not do. You make my client compete in any of these matches and we will sue you into your next life!”
Jon Page: “Your client, since when?”
V.I.P smiles at Page, as she calls to outside the office and calls out to some stage hands, after a few seconds a much smaller roulette wheel is wheeled into the room.
VIP: “There we go, a much more manageable size! You can probably even pay one less showgirl to spin it you chauvinistic pig!”
V.I.P shoots a dirty look at the show girls, who shoot her one back.
Jon Page: “Whoa, whoa, whoa. What is all this? Just explain to me why I don’t fire you on the spot?”
Zero looks offended, but V.I.P steps forward to answer the question.
VIP: “Well you could do that, but then we walk onto TV for one of your biggest rivals tomorrow night and drop this belt straight in the trash on live TV! Instead we have a counter offer which I am sure will be much more acceptable to you! This new roulette wheel will select the ‘opponent’ of the Champion at random instead of the match type…. But only now if or should I say when Absolute Zero successfully defends the belt on ten occasions, then he cashes in for a sVo Championship shot!”
Page rolls his eyes, before angrily dismissing the show girls out of the room, knowing that he has been backed into a corner.
Jon Page: “What the hell… Screw it let’s do this… but you best believe you are defending that belt on every single show we have!”
Absolute Zero begins to protest, but VIP cuts him off.
VIP: “Fine with us, that just means we get to ten victorious all the quicker!”
VIP takes the queue to spin the roulette wheel, and it slowly spins around, ticking over the names of different sVo superstars as the scene heads back to ringside!

Nothing to Fear
The cameras head backstage after the shocking end of the match, where Katie Smith is standing by in the interview area once again, this time with the Scottish sensation Kyle McRae!
Katie Smith: “Kyle, thanks for joining me ahead of your match tonight! Now you are facing the newest member of the sVo roster in Carny Sinclair, what do you know of your opponent?”
Kyle McRae: “Honestly, not a whole lot! All I know is that he got unlucky having to go up against me in his debut tonight!”
Katie Smith: “Well Carny Sinclair does come in from DEFIANCE and there is certainly a lot of buzz about him online, do you think you might be taking him a little lightly?”
McRae confidently shakes his finger.
Kyle McRae: “Nice to know you are worried about me Katie….”
McRae aims a little wink at Katie Smith.
Kyle McRae: “But after tonight Carny Sinclair is gonna wish he stayed in the carnival!”
McRae looks confident as he walks away from the interview area as the camera cuts back to ringside.

Family Reunion
After the big championship match, the cameras cut backstage to the locker room of Curtis Knight and Athena, where the pair are watching the action on a large screen TV. Both clearly don’t look dressed for action tonight, after having different levels of success in their matches at the Countdown to Violence PPV last week.
Suddenly the door to the locker room opens and in walks the massive frame of Darwin Jones, which gets a massive pop from the fans watching on the giant screen!
Darwin Jones walks straight up to his sister Athena and gives her a big hug, before turning his attention to Curtis Knight and offering an outstretched hand to shake. However Knight looks down at the hand of his brother in law before staring back at him.
Darwin Jones: “What, you don’t shake peoples hand after coming back from the dead?”
‘The Dark Horse’ scowls at Darwin Jones.
Curtis Knight: “I wouldn’t have needed to come back if you had been looking out for your sister when Blood Money was blackmailing her. What kind of brother are you?”
Darwin Jones and Curtis Knight are quickly nose to nose.
Darwin Jones: “I had some pretty big battles of my own to fight whilst you were playing dead…. My sister is a big girl, she can take care of herself.”
Athena quickly gets in between her brother and her husband to push them apart.
Athena: “Boys, boys, there are plenty of other people on the roster to fight, let’s not fight each other now.”
Knight and Darwin Jones continue to stare at each other.
Curtis Knight: “Well now you are back around here Darwin what’s your game? You seemed pretty friendly with All Star on Sunday?”
Jones scoffs at the suggestion.
Darwin Jones: “All Star turned his back on me and the rest of Horizon, he is no friend of mine anymore! But I came to make Vorheez pay for costing me and Hugo months of our career. The fact that he has the sVo Championship right now will make that all the sweeter!”
Curtis Knight: “Well before you run off trying to win the big one why don’t you back up what you are saying with some action next Sunday? You team up with me and we take on those Moretti boys, family vs. family!”
Knight and Jones stare at each other for a few more seconds, before Jones again out stretches his hand. This time ‘the Dark Horse’ shakes it. Both men tightly grip the others hand for a few seconds, before Jones turns and nods to his sister Athena before leaving the room.
Athena: “You shouldn’t be so hard on him…. I told him not get involved in my business back then….”
Curtis Knight: “Hmmm…. Let’s see what side he is really on next Sunday at Showdown….”

Big Geography
The cameras head backstage for the final time this evening, this time to the locker room of Patriot Act! The fans watching live on the giant screen in the arena boo loudly as Dallas Jordan, Travis Armstrong and Lance Abbot stand in front of a giant American flag which has been pinned upside down on the wall of the locker room.
Dallas Jordan: “Can you believe this guy actually wanted to wrestle me tonight?”
Abbot and Armstrong look angry as the shake their heads.
Lance Abbot: “God damn stupid Polok!”
Travis Armstrong: “I think he is Russian actually…”
Abbot and Armstrong both look confused.
Dallas Jordan: “He is from somewhere called Romania or something actually…. I know I have never heard of it either. No wonder that god damn freak tries to call himself an American now! Can you actually believe that he got rewarded for losing his title by getting a shot at another title?”
Travis Armstrong: “Stealing our god damn title shots!”
Lance Abbot: “Yeah our god damn title shots!!!”
Dallas Jordan: “Don’t worry boys. After tonight he is going to be in no condition for a shot at any titles! I am sending him back to Siberia with an ass whoopin’!”
The three men whoop and holler as the scene fades to a commercial break.
