sVo Showdown Episode #073
6th March 2011
Goodfellas Casino Arena, Las Vegas Nevada
“Natural High” by The Union Underground hits the sound system as the sVo Showdown entrance video hits the screens of TV’s all over the world! The video featuring the likes of sVo Champion Jay Wildman, Roscoe Shame, Night, Bobby Dean and Samuel Amos shows some of the best action to have ever taken place on the flagship show of the Sanctioned Violence Organization.
As the video comes to an end, the camera cuts to the arena and pans around the sold out crowd as pyro’s shoot up from the entrance stage whilst the theme music continues to blast out over the sound system. The camera picks out several signs in the crowd as the fireworks continue to explode around the ringside area.
The camera then pans across to the entrance stage, where a video recap of last weeks action is shown on the giant Violence-Tron before tonight’s action gets under-way.
LAST WEEK ON SHOWDOWN #72
Matt Anderson is shown sitting in his office, poring over various documents related to the running of the sVo. The door is abruptly thrown open however and Nathan Paradine steps into the room, dressed in his ring gear from his tag team match. He slowly approaches the desk and Anderson lowers the document he is reading, his eyebrow raised.
Matt Anderson: “Can I help you with something, Paradine?”
Paradine ignores Anderson and picks up a photograph of Anderson during his wrestling heyday. Paradine snickers and lowers the photograph back down onto the desk.
Matt Anderson: “Well? Or am I going to call security and have your ass thrown out of here?”
Nathan Paradine: “I’ve come to offer you… a deal, of sorts.”
Matt Anderson: “What the hell are you talking about?”
Nathan Paradine: “You’re the only man in the sVo with the power to book the match I want. Now, I want a match for the tag team titles against Beautiful Shame. I even put in a request to the Company on the down low, since we both happen to speak the same language.”
Paradine rubs his fingers together, making the universal symbol for money. Anderson nods his head slowly, urging him to continue.
Nathan Paradine: “Since the Company haven’t gotten back to me and I’m an impatient man, I’m coming straight to you. I want a tag team match at Vendetta, and I’m prepared to go to extremes to get it. I have something that could possibly destroy the reputation of Bobby Dean.”
Matt Anderson: “Do you really think I care? It’s easy to find a prima donna like him in this business.”
Nathan Paradine: “Heh. Believe me, this could be bad for the sVo… because I happen to have in my possession a sex tape starring a certain former member of the Hostility roster and sVo’s very own blue-wearing ass bandit. Do you really want that kind of publicity? Especially after the unfortunate death of Scott Love, and the unusually high number of workers you’ve laid off ever since you took over control in the name of the Company.”
Anderson grinds his teeth together, an action that only serves to widen the smirk on Paradine’s face. Eventually he swallows and manages to compose himself.
Matt Anderson: “I’ll see what I can do. No guarantees, mind you!”
Nathan Paradine: “I’m glad we’re now on the same page. The last thing the world needs to see is Bobby Dean attempting to perform fellatio on himself after all… but bear in mind, I’m only going to wait a week. If I don’t get an answer on Showdown, I’m going to play the sex tape for EVERYONE to see.”
Anderson nods again and Paradine turns to leave the office. He pauses next to the turn however and glances over his shoulder.
Nathan Paradine: “It’s a shame I have to force your hand like this, Anderson. I know we’ve had our differences, but I’m sure we could be a killer team if we wanted to.”
Paradine exits the office, slamming the door shut behind him. Anderson leans back in his chair with a thoughtful expression as the scene comes to an end.
BarredNathan Paradine is shown walking backstage dressed to kill in a sharp three piece suit. He approaches two burly security guards, who move to block his access to the Goodfellas Arena. Paradine chuckles and attempts to move past them both, however they remain unmoved.
Nathan Paradine: “What the bloody hell is this nonsense? Get out of my way.”
The guards exchange looks with each other before the larger of the two steps forward, his chest puffed out.
Security Guard: “We’ve had special orders from Mr. Anderson. You’re not allowed backstage, because of your little press stunt concerning Bobby Dean.”
Paradine lowers his sunglasses, his eyebrow raised in mock surprise.
Nathan Paradine: “You mean, because I’m threatening to cause yet another scandal for our much beleagured General Manager? I’m afraid this is a matter between myself, Bobby Dean… and a certain other individual.”
Security Guard: “You’re not getting past me, alright? Just go back to your hotel room or something and take your problem up with Mr. Anderson.”
Paradine opens his mouth to continue arguing, however his expression changes as an idea forms in his mind. He grins wolfishly and turns around, waving good-bye to the two guards as the scene comes to an end.

RevengeThe cameras head backstage to the interview area where Katie Smith is standing by with Achilles Young. Young is sporting a black eye after his encounter with Sheldon Hossteder last night on UnSanctioned that is still visable from behind his dark shades. For once Achilles Young is without the rest of the Achilles Administration.
Katie Smith: “Achilles Young, you have made a big impact here in the sVo ever since your debut a few weeks ago. However your loss last night to Sheldon Hossteder has stopped your progression in the Red & Black tournament…”
Achilles Young: “Sheldon Hossteder will get what is coming to him, don’t you worry about that! Until then I don’t want to talk about a loss, I am only looking forward.”
Katie Smith: “Well many fans are confused about you showing up during the Timothy Webb vs. Skidalz match on UnSanctioned last night as well.”
Achilles Young: “Why would they be confused by that?”
Katie Smith: “Well the week before you accused Timothy Webb of stealing your time on Showdown. Last night it looked like you helped him win?”
Achilles Young: “Actually…”
Before Achilles Young even has a chance to finish his sentence he is caught with a surprise kidney punch from Skidalz from behind! Katie Smith quickly scatters as Skidalz lays into Achilles Young with some big kicks and stomps to send him down to the ground before security is able to get in and break up the fight. I Have A ProblemThe Showdown cameras head backstage to the office of Company leader Matt Anderson who is sitting behind his desk. Anderson is as always wearing his trademark wrap-a-round sunglasses over his face and is watching Showdown on the large screen on the far wall when a knock of the door interrupts him. Anderson looks over at the door as if he was expecting it.
Matt Anderson: “Send him in!”
The door is slowly opened by a towering Company agent wearing a suit, and a miserable looking Rey Rosario slowly walks into the office and sits down in the chair in front of Anderson’s desk.
Matt Anderson: “Did I tell you that you could sit?”
Rosario stares daggers at Anderson, but eventually does stand up. Anderson looks to be taking great pleasure at torturing Rey Rosario.
Matt Anderson: “Please, take a seat.”
Rosario looks as if he is literally biting his own tongue to stop himself saying anything as a wide smile spreads across the face of Matt Anderson.
Matt Anderson: “Now you know why you are here Rey. Thanks to your gambling over the last few months you owe some of my associates a very large amount of money. Considering that you are one of my employees and it would look bad for someone that works in a Casino to have such a large gambling debt hanging over their heads, I have bought your debt for you.”
Rosario suddenly perks up.
Matt Anderson: “Don’t look too happy Rosario, the money you owed them you now owe me. You can start paying off your debt by destroying Alex Brooks in a single match tonight!”
Rosario stares down at the floor, obviously a broken man knowing that Matt Anderson now has such huge power over him.
Matt Anderson: “I will be expecting you to join Nightmare, James Von Drake, Benedict Wilson and DJ in the Company team for the Organised Chaos match at Vendetta as well….”
Rey Rosario: “I am not a member of the Company and I never will be, no matter how much money I owe!”
Anderson seems amused by the little outburst from Rosario as he leans back in his recliner.
Matt Anderson: “Damn right your not, with the amount of money you owe you are the Company’s bitch!”
Anderson laughs heavily as Rey Rosario shakes his head and slowly leaves the office.
You Have A ProblemDJ looks to be limping and in pain as he makes his way through the gorilla position after suffering a loss to Nero in the last match up thanks to being locked in his painful submission finishing move. DJ looks disappointed as he walks past a few suited Company agents who look down on him and slowly shake their heads in disgust. With Juliana Torres and Raven fired and DJ having to work for Matt Anderson in order to get his friends their jobs back, DJ looks depressed as he slowly makes his way past the Company agents and towards his locker room.
DJ looks like he is trying to make sure he doesn’t bump into Matt Anderson as he peers around the corner, before rushing towards the direction of his locker room. However as DJ rushes around the corner he runs straight into former sVo Owner Jon Page!
Jon Page, the leader of the group that will take on the Company team at Vendetta looks down at DJ, before offering a knowing nod to the high flyer.
DJ stares back up at the former sVo Owner before giving a nod right back. DJ and Jon Page smile before quickly walking in their opposite directions.
X-Treme ActionShowdown returns from a commercial to show a wide shot of the Goodfellas Arena, packed to the rafters with thousands of screaming fans. Abruptly the lights dim however and a unsettled hush falls over the crowd. For a moment or two there is almost silence, until a distinctively high voice can be heard echoing from the sound system.
Simon Marks: “Is this thing on?”
The sVo-Tron bursts to life, revealing grainy night vision footage of Marks’s face in close-up. The former Hostility star takes a step back, revealing that he is quite obviously naked. Another voice, slightly distorted, can be heard in the background.
Bobby Dean: “It’s on. Now, get over here.”
Marks giggles and moves towards a large double bed, where Bobby Dean is shown laying back dressed in jeans and a baby blue t-shirt. Marks climbs up onto the bed and stands up facing Dean and the picture freezes.
Nathan Paradine: “And that, dear people, is how is it done.”
The picture cuts away to show Nathan Paradine sitting in the production booth, headphones in his head. He twiddles a dial on a large mixing desk in front of his and a loud grunting noise blasts around the arena.
Nathan Paradine: “Believe me, you do NOT want to know what that is. Now, I recommend that Roscoe Shame and Bobby Dean get out to the ring unless you all want to see Bobby’s face covered in-“
Suddenly, “Real Solution #9” by White Zombie begins to blast over the speakers as Matt Anderson storms out onto the ramp, microphone in hand. He glances up at the sVo-Tron and his jaw drops. He raises the microphone, barely about to choke the words out.
Matt Anderson: “What… what the hell is this!?”
Nathan Paradine: “What do you think, Matt?”
Matt Anderson: “Don’t you dare play that video again, Paradine. If you play it, you’ll tilt my hand and discover that you’re not the only one who can go to… *ahem*. Extremes.”
Paradine glances around the production area and shrugs, however he doesn’t play the video.
Nathan Paradine: “Alright, Anderson. I’m no fool, I know when to toe the line. I was just having my fun with Bobby, who I might add hasn’t bothered to confront me about recent happenings. He’s been too busy with blue babes and… well, you all saw the video.”
Paradine chuckles and stands up, holding up the same disk that Simon Marks handed to him last week on Showdown.
Nathan Paradine: “You see, I’ve been thinking… I already have what I initially wanted, and that was a shot at the sVo Tag Team Championship. Now, I’ve found something else I want, and I think you should give in to this particular request.”
Matt Anderson: “Oh? And what exactly would that be, since I could just fire you and be done with it?”
Nathan Paradine: “You think I’m just going to announce it here? Oh no, Anderson, that is not what will happen! I’m going to wait one more week before I reveal… something. When my demands are met, I’ll destroy this disk and leave the personal lives of Bobby Dean and Roscoe Shame alone. Deal?”
Matt Anderson: “My office. Now. I want to hear this offer, just you and I.”
Nathan Paradine: “I don’t think so, Anderson. I’m banned from backstage, remember?”
Before Anderson can make a comment, Paradine flicks another switch on the desk and the screen cuts out. Anderson storms backstage, his shouting and swearing audible.
Matt Anderson: “Cut to another fucking commercial now!”

Sara Pettis Vs. AsesinoBoos begin to ring out around the arena as the entrance ramp lights up and Headstrong by Trapt hits the sound system. On the sVo-Tron highlights of Asesino’s sVo greatest moments play as Asesino slowly makes his way out from the backstage area and down the entrance ramp. Asesino stares out the crowd as he walks, before rolling into the ring. Asesino walks around the ring looking out at those in the crowd who are booing him, before jumping up onto the second rope of the nearest turnbuckle and taunting to the fans by throwing them an ironic kiss.
‘Flower’ by The Moby begins to play, as blue and white strobe lights flash at the entrance. Sara steps out from the back and waves at the crowd with a smile. She then jogs excitedly down the aisle, slapping hands with fans on either side along the way, before sliding under the bottom rope into the ring. She removes the TapOut championship from around her waist and passes it to the referee. He takes the championship and folds it as he passes it to the ring side assistant before motioning for the timekeeper to ring the bell.

And this singles match is underway! Sara Pettis makes her way to the middle of the ring, Asesino quickly obliges and they meet face to face in the middle of the ring staring the other one down. Asesino chuckles a little bit and looks out into the crowd, pointing in the direction of Sara Pettis obviously not taking her serious at all. Sara swats his hand out of the way and shoves him, sending him a few steps backwards. He shrugs it off and motions for Sara to come towards him. The two of them lock up in a collar and elbow tie up and they each try to gain the strength advantage over the other competitor. Sara takes a few steps backwards and then drives her weight forward causing Asesino to take a few steps backwards as well. They break the tie up and Asesino has a look of confusion and shock over the fact that a female was able to overpower him.
Sara Pettis tells Asesino to bring it on to which Asesino flashes a smirk on his face and points to himself, before pointing to Sara. He casually strolls up to Sara and places his hands on his hips. As Sara turns her head to the side Asesino shoves Sara with full force sending her backwards and crashing back first onto the canvas. She immediately scrambles back to her feet and backhand slaps Asesino, leaving a visible red mark on the side of his face. Sara looks lifeless on the ring canvas, her body laying there motionless, showing no signs of life. Asesino wipes his hands clean as he stares down at his fallen foe, laughing at his work. He makes a cutthroat motion towards the crowd before grabbing Sara by the hair.
